Hey guys, welcome back to your favorite podcast.
D. Influenced.
That was coordinated.
It was so good.
So today I have my brother, Landon.
How's it going?
I have my husband, Jordan.
And we're sitting very close to each other.
It's closer than we've sat in a minute.
Y'all are closed it up on the sofa.
A lot of people were asking, they're like, is Jordan going to be back on the pod?
He's back, baby.
Yep, I'm here.
Also, Landon's wearing a sweatshirt.
It's from Lays chips.
It says baked.
We just didn't want to.
to be made. It's not a double meaning. It's not a double meaning. Yeah, Lay's dropped off some
chips and some sweatshirts that said bait. I like it. I think it looks good. It's funny. It's pretty cool.
So Lana's in from Nashville. What's new in Nashville? You know, not a lot. I feel like I'm just making
music, been writing some songs. I made a podcast. It's called Your Hotest Take, so I do that.
Other than that, that's about it. Are you writing these days? Are you just producing?
Yeah. And are you producing for other people? Yeah, so I write
music. I like pop music, so I make that for myself. And then I'll write with other local Nashville
based artists, produce songs for them, record. I write stuff for licensing with an old band of mine
called Colorfire and just working on new music projects. What about mashups? I don't do a lot of
mashups anymore. I loved those. Why? Those are my YouTube days when I'm like sitting by a train
track playing like. Are those not cool anymore? No, they're cool. It's just I feel like it's just not my
passion. But you do covers on Spotify still? Yeah, I'll do from time to time. I'll do a cover. I'll release
original song, whatever.
I just like making music,
and you never know when you put a song out
where it's going to be.
Sometimes you can hear it like played in Kroger
or sometimes in an elevator or whatever.
Can you sing us something?
The Ibiza one.
I love that one.
I wish I had warmed up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Check out Spotify.
Yeah.
It's pretty good.
Thank you.
So you're living in Nashville.
You still have a, aren't you,
didn't you just move into your new house?
I did.
I did.
I bought a new house.
And when I bought the house,
I had a girlfriend at the time.
She was helping me to decorate.
But we broke up like a weekend to me owning that.
So we're aware.
We're aware.
We know.
We follow the love life closely.
Okay.
Well, it's the point being it's very hard to decorate your house.
It's got like five bedrooms, five baths.
I have a lot of rooms to cover.
Yeah.
And I have no idea what to put like I just got a top sheet.
Like okay, over under.
You're a top sheet guy.
I'm a top sheet guy.
Not to brag.
Wow.
How many pillows do you all have on your bed?
Oh, too many.
What's the over under?
Like seven.
Seven.
Seven.
Seven.
We have one, two, three, four, seven.
We have, no, eight.
Eight pillows total.
It's so, like, unnecessary.
I don't know why people have so many pillows.
I have, you know how many pillows I have?
How many?
One.
Oh, that's so sad.
Because my dog doesn't need one.
Marty doesn't need no pillow.
She sleeps next to me.
That's just so sad.
So when you make your bed, you just have one pillow, like right in the middle.
But I do have a top sheet, so.
Okay.
Man, Jordan's like, what a lucky man.
It's a lovely life.
That's amazing.
We did go to his house in Nashville,
And I remember walking in it was like right when we got married.
He had his like office, but it had like video games in there.
And I was like, man, these are the days.
I know.
Still living the dream.
I can remember when you were sleeping in his closet?
Yeah.
That was really good.
I literally big time in our lives.
It was great.
Like stayed in the closet and then I have a ping pong room now.
Like there's a room in my house just for ping pong.
I have another room that's just for poker.
I guess I have a guest room for mom.
But that's about it.
You're still living there alone.
Hey, I like it. Don't make me sad. Does it get scary? I'm like really tough. I don't know if you know that, but like I'm very tough. So you're not scared. Also my dog, Marty, she's a golden retriever. She walks the perimeter every night. So if she's good, I'm good. Yeah. Does she bark whenever there's something dangerous? If she hears like a cricket, she barks. Would she attack? Oh yeah. Well, with cuddles. Yeah. How can you hate that face? Attack with somebody who's coming into rob your house and they're like, never mind. She's just so cute and cuddly. Yeah. That's what she's. That's what she's.
there for. But I thought it's cool because I came to town and I haven't seen Stratton and Stella
they're so big. I saw you playing fetch in the backyard with Stella. He's like what are you
doing? I was like watching out the window he was like throwing the ball to Stella. Estella would
run and get it. I was like man this is interesting. For the record, y'all need to teach her how to
sit better. She's not very good at it. I'm just saying. Have you ever seen like those videos on
YouTube of babies learning to swim? Because I guess you swim in the womb so it's kind of a comfortable
feeling. So we actually did ISR with,
with Stella. Infant, swimming. Do you know what that is? Is it something
to do with reading minds? No. They literally will just throw the baby into the pool.
Against the baby's will? Yeah and the baby has to
learn to swim. No, Dorden, it's not like that. They do daily lessons. Yes. And so they get
comfortable in the water and you have someone that's certified in ISR come to your house or you take
your baby to the swimming pool. Okay, so y'all are just like pushing your
and hoping for the best. You have a professional.
Then the last day of training.
Oh, okay.
And I would say it's about three weeks long.
The last day, they do throw the baby in the pool and the baby is trained to turn
over on their back and just like float on their back.
And they have, so if a baby falls in the pool, they have like an extra two minutes to be
found.
That's crazy because I didn't learn how to swim until I was like eight.
You still can swim.
I'm not a strong swimmer.
I can hold my head above water.
Do you have a pool?
Not anymore.
I sold it.
I had a property that had a pool and I sold it.
I did tread water for like 40 minutes a day.
No, you didn't.
I did.
Are you serious?
Yeah, yeah, big tread guy.
That's really good because it's not hard on your joints, like running.
Oh, I know.
I know.
It feels great, too.
That's so interesting.
That is interesting.
Well, so you're still single.
I've heard you went on a date recently.
Yeah, I did.
I did.
How are these dates these days?
You know, I went through a breakup in August, you've heard.
And since then, I've been very slow moving.
Like, I went on like three dates last.
year. Why? Why? It takes me a time to process things. I don't like to move too quickly. Got to heal,
you know? I think that's healthy. And then when I did start dating again, I had some really bad
date experiences and I was like, ah. And then I decided in February this year to not date at all. So I took
a month off and I just now got back out there. Are you on me out? It's like dry January,
but like dry dating. No, no love February. It is the shortest month and it also has Valentine's
day, so it's not the best timing.
What apps are people on these days?
I'm, okay, so I am on Hinge.
My assistant, her name's Katie.
She highly encouraged me to get on Hinge.
She's a big Tinder girl.
I don't know what that says, but apparently Hinge is really popular, and then I guess Bumble,
but I'm a Hinge guy.
Do they all have their own little cultures?
I mean, I feel like from what I've learned, Hinge, you can kind of filter what you're looking
for, so if you want someone who's like a certain age or whatever, you can do that.
And then Bumble, I don't know, it's just a random bunch.
Bumble, Tinder, and Hinge.
Isn't there another one that's like only for the elite and you have to pay a membership?
Oh, Raya, Raya.
I have done that.
Oh, you have.
You paid.
Yeah, so you have to be accepted.
And so they accept certain people when I did it.
But it was a lot of people who don't live in Nashville.
Because it's a smaller pool and it's a lot of like.
Is it elite?
Like, do you feel like it actually was more elite?
And like elite in what sense?
Yeah, what does that mean?
It's a lot of like athletes and stuff.
So I'm like, it's me and a bunch of basketball players that I'm like,
this isn't my domain.
You're like, I'm only 5'4.
Okay, I am six foot.
Thank you.
Don't you put that on me.
The point being, it's a different crowd and they don't live in Nashville.
And so it's like, it's like your favorite, you see he sees his favorite basketball
player.
He's like, I just want to be friends.
I just want to autograph.
I actually, funny, funny story.
I have a friend who met all his friends in Nashville.
on Bumble because there was like a friend feature.
Yeah.
And I didn't know that guys could get on there and be like, yo, dude's looking for dudes as buddies.
And I'm like, oh, that's cool.
So he met a bunch of his friends that way.
You could use that.
I have a friend.
I'm good.
I've got a friend.
That's weird to me.
Is that, is that not weird?
It's not my first move.
I like to meet guys at the park.
I'd say coffee shops.
Like you look cool.
You want to be my friend.
A little more organic.
Yeah.
Pickleball court.
So, fun fact, I used BFF.
You did?
I did when I was in L.A.
and I met a girl.
Wow.
You still talk?
No, it was actually kind of awkward.
She was a little strange and so that was my last time.
But I thought the concept was cool.
Like Bumble was kind of taking off in that sense.
So you got Hinge, you got Bumble, you got Raya.
When you're looking at these accounts, like are there any red flags that you see,
like or anything that when you're looking at someone's profile,
I guess including Instagram?
Yeah.
Like what are you looking for from the outside looking in?
I'll say there's, I've seen this a lot, especially on Hinge.
Well, they have prompts to be like what you're into, what you like.
There's one prompt that says you should not go out with me if.
And a common prompt answer to that is if you have a dog.
There's a lot of girls.
Not a lot, but like enough to where it's, I've seen it a dozen times where a girl's like,
don't go out and if you got a dog.
And mine's like all pictures of me and my dog.
Why?
I don't know.
I never matched them.
Maybe they're allergic.
Maybe.
Are they cat girls?
I've never seen them with a cat.
See, that would be in my profile.
I'd be like, don't go out with me if you have a cat.
Whoa.
No, no cat guys.
No cat.
I am not a cat guys.
I feel like that would be a strange crew.
That's a strange crew.
That's a hot take, I will say.
There's a culture of the cat men.
Cat men.
We stay away from them.
I mean, cats in general, I'm just like, this, it takes a special person to love a cat.
That's what I'm saying is I've never met a nice cat.
And maybe that's my problem.
Maybe there are some nice cats out there.
I'm just not a cat gal.
That's why we're married.
That's why we're married.
Total alignment on cats.
We're just.
That was the first.
question that we asked each other on our first date. What are some like good and bad dates that you've
been on? Start with maybe the bad. The bad? Juicier. So recently, and I'm going to start with one
where I feel like I made a mistake so I don't look like the victim here. And I actually shared
this on my podcast, but I liked this girl and we actually met on Hinge and went on a date,
great date. Called her a few days later. It was Monday night. I said, hey, you want to go out Saturday
night? She said, let me call you back. She called me back Tuesday night and said, let's go out Saturday
night. So Wednesday goes by, Thursday goes by, Friday goes by. Saturday morning I text you're like,
hey, are we still on for tonight? Crickets. Five p.m. Hey, I'm texting her. I don't know if you were
like kidnapped or you're alive. I love to still go out. And she said, she responded. She's like,
you know, you didn't text me for three days. So I thought you weren't interested. And I was blown away
that that was like what I needed to do. And I've had a lot of time to think about that and stew on it.
And I probably should have texted her one time in those three days. I think I just got busy.
Ooh, so I mean, so you honestly didn't have time for her.
I didn't have time.
And she wasn't priority.
I don't blame her.
Well, no, no, no.
I'm kind of like on her side.
Yeah, I'm like,
I'm like,
I'm not saying I did the right thing.
I do think I messed up.
I think I should have, like,
kept up with her.
But I am such a big fan.
Like when I ask you out,
I'm going to call you.
I'm not going to text you.
I like to get to know someone in person
because if you don't know them yet,
when you text,
like, what is it?
Oh, what's your favorite color?
What food?
Yeah, what do you talk about?
And do you have like a pickup line or like something you always said?
Oh, that's a great question, Danny.
Like what's your first line in these dating apps?
I like to, okay, so they'll say like, I like watching murder mysteries on Netflix.
And so my line is like, and it's not a line.
It's like, how about them murder dogs?
Yeah.
Is he innocent or is he guilty?
Yeah.
No, I'll be like, hey, so what do you like to do when you're not watching murder docs,
something random?
And then we'll talk a little bit about their hobbies.
But my rule on a dating app is I'll message you about three or four times.
And then I'm like, hey, talking on here is really lame.
Give me your number.
I want to call you and ask you out.
And then nine times out of 10, they'll give you their number.
And then you'll call them and ask them out.
But I will say, I've noticed a lot of girls are taken aback when you call them.
Oh, that makes sense.
That makes sense.
Because probably no one's calling them anymore.
No, the last date I went on, she's like, I have to tell you something.
The first time you called me, I literally blocked it because I was so freaked out.
She was probably nervous.
Yeah, but.
It's because people aren't used to talking to each other anymore.
It's like all digital.
It's all over text.
And he's like, back in my day.
Back in my day.
Back in Monday, we used to have to run over to my next door neighbor and knock on the front door.
I mean, seriously, it's so different.
So wouldn't that be an argument for me not texting or is that?
I'm not saying this is how it should be.
I'm just saying it is the way it is.
I like, it's so much more fun to talk in real life.
Yeah.
And it gets, as opposed to texting and be like, what you do?
The only reason I wouldn't want you to call me just yet is if I'm still trying to vet if you're like a good person or not.
But see, that's my argument for the call because when you talk to someone on the phone,
you can gauge if they're weird or not, you can gauge what their personality is.
Texting, you can't sense their tone if they're normal or not.
Okay, so do you feel like the majority of your first dates or who you're meeting is mainly
online now?
Like, what percentage of girls do you go out with that are from apps and then what percentage
are from like girls that you actually meet at a coffee shop or at a bar?
Yeah.
And like, do you have a pickup line whenever you go see them?
I met a really sweet girl at my church and we went on like four or five dates and it ended.
She was amazing.
But with her, I just got to know her, got to be friends.
And I was like, hey, can I take you on a date?
And she's like, let's do it.
So you're not going to, like, bars anymore.
I mean, I'll go get a drink with friends, but it's, I can't remember the last time in a bar.
I went up to a girl and was like, I always tell my friends, like, I have some single friends
in Dallas and they're going, like, clubbing every weekend.
I'm like, what do you expect?
Like, you're not going to probably meet anyone.
I'm like, have you ever heard of church?
That's where you meet someone.
Yeah.
Especially the Tuesday night at the porch.
Like, if you're in Dallas, it's like literally just all singles going to church.
That's great. Also friends of friends like birthday parties. I've met girls that way. I met a girl last year.
Met her at a birthday party. We went on a few dates. I don't know. I like the warm intro where it's like they're loosely related through church or friends as opposed to a bar. It's like I've done that. Don't give me wrong. It's hard, but I've done that.
Yeah. And you just don't know anything about them. I know. And it's like it's like starting from like square one. It's brutal. What's the best date you've been on whether it worked out or not recently? Recently. Oh, man.
Oh, no, just like the best day ever.
Yeah, sorry, not recently.
Best date ever.
Stupid question, Jordan.
I'm just kidding.
Man, oh, pickleball.
We played pickleball.
You know I still haven't played pickleball,
but I feel like I would just be so good at it
because it's basically like tennis.
Hey, I've seen you play ping pong.
I don't think.
Hey, you've never be careful what you say.
We have a ping pong table right here.
We can settle this.
Yeah, it's set up in the corner, but I'm telling you.
A little dust on it.
I love pickleball.
I like date activities.
That's fun.
Or like go to the pool.
I don't know, something random, something kind of fun.
Actually, my favorite thing to do, trivia.
See, you know, see if she got some brains.
I thought you were like trivia, like, guess.
No.
No, literally like doing trivia is one of my favorite things.
And what I'll do is be like, hey, I'm going to trivia tonight.
If you're free, you should come.
Yeah.
Not give them a lot of pressure.
If they don't show up, do you just go by yourself?
Yeah, I love to trivia.
I make a lot of friends.
Heck, I got a girl's number of trivia once.
I believe it.
The thing is for me, if I were single and I was going on a date with someone,
when I barely knew, I would hate to be stuck in an activity that I didn't want to be stuck in.
Right.
And so I would like, something like trivia where someone's kind of guiding it, where we don't have to be
talking 24-7.
Do you know what I mean?
That's smart.
Because then you kind of get stuck and you're like, oh, this is so miserable.
Right.
And that brings another question because for me, a first date is always about a 45-minute activity
to an hour.
So it's trivia, which is only an hour long, or it's drinks, which you can be out of there
in 30 minutes if you really want to be.
Not that they'll notice.
This guy's got a science for sure.
We've all been there where you're stuck with someone and you feel bad.
You don't have a way out.
So my question is, like, dinner to me is not normally a go-ahead unless I know them already on a first date
because you can spend two hours with someone at dinner.
So do you think girls like when you take them to dinner on a first date?
Because I heard some girls are self-conscious about eating at front of a new guy.
I didn't know this.
Oh, my gosh.
These girls, no way.
I promise you, I had a date recently tell me that her and some other girlfriends don't like.
Okay.
I actually, this is so funny, I'm just not remembering this.
I think when I was dating in college,
I actually hated going out to eat on the first date because I'm so picky.
And I'll never forget, I went on a date with someone and they took me to Clarks,
you know, in Austin, it's all seafood.
I hate seafood.
And not only that, but like, I'm like, okay, it's a seafood restaurant.
You know how on the seafood restaurant or the menu, they always have like something chicken
or something vegetarian.
So I'm like, I'm good.
No, I'm good.
And they did have something that was chicken.
I was going to order it.
But then this guy, somebody taught him that it's like a cool thing to order for the lady.
Oh, no.
He ordered for the table.
And he not only, he ordered like lobster sandwiches and shrimp, like the things that I just despise.
And I never, I couldn't say anything.
I was so embarrassed.
So I'm just like nibbling at the bread, like nibbling at the french fries, never took one bite.
So yeah, I kind of get that because I am pretty picky and I wouldn't want to like let a guy down like that.
It's awkward. Didn't a guy take you to like a Chinese buffet too? Oh my gosh. Now that I think about it,
What a champ.
No, now that I think about it and I look back, I'm like, did he lose a bet and like have
to take me on a date?
Like, it was so bad.
We got all dressed up and he said he had this like really big surprise, like this
amazing date.
We drove like 45 minutes out of Austin and he took me to the most disgusting restaurant
I've ever been in my life.
It was a Chinese buffet.
Like one of those Chinese buffets where it's like the lights are like still like, yeah.
It looked like a vacant hotel sign.
and it was like the food I'd been setting out like for three days.
It smelled like dog.
It was just.
I'm like,
I'm like,
I'm like,
I'm like,
was I the joke?
You know?
No.
Was I the joke?
Was this the same guy that did that one thing
that you always told me the story about after?
I don't remember.
You're like farted?
Oh, no.
That was a different one.
Wait, what?
Oh my gosh.
So he was probably nervous.
It is the first.
No, this is so bad.
Poor guy.
So my freshman year, I was so badly want to say his name because his name, it just sounds like a guy, like this, you know, his name's funny.
He took me on a date and we kind of went around Austin.
We went to like a music festival and we had honestly like the best day in Austin out in the sun and we came back.
You dropped me off at my dorm room and gave me a hug.
And as he tried to kiss me, he farted.
So, so loud.
And then he tried to play it off, like, you know.
And it was just so cringy.
And like, I'm not someone that like laughs at a fart.
Like I'm like, that's kind of gross, you know?
Oh, yeah?
And, yeah, that was the last time I ever talked to him.
I wonder why.
It was so horrible.
What's the worst time that you've been dumped?
Oh, well, I will say, I have it try.
I mean, sorry, like cross-connected.
No, I just think about that.
I don't have a story like that, but I have,
There's two girls in my life where I've tried to kiss them and they completely shut me down.
One time I was in college and I leaned in to kiss this girl.
She's like, oh, no, no.
And I said, that's okay, I'll try again later.
I don't know why I said that.
You're like, okay, five minute timers off.
Alexa, is it time now?
It was so bad.
And the other one just gave me a cold shoulder and turned.
I've done that.
Was it the first date?
Well, you've tried to kiss one and they cold shouldered you?
No, I've, no lot.
She's cold shoulders.
Oh, okay.
Because I had a very strict, like, no kissing on the first date rule.
And so it wasn't because I didn't like them.
It was just because I was like too soon.
No.
It wasn't a first day.
And I'm like, and I just kind of, you just kind of do the little sort of.
That's painful.
You just kind of swivel a little bit.
So have you been dumped recently?
No, but I did have one girl that I kind of liked who just kept canceling on me.
Three dates in a row, cancel.
Cancel.
Was she married?
No, she was not already married?
Okay.
Wait, was this the recent one that you?
This was a recent, not so great situation where I thought it was good, but then she just kept
canceling on me.
It's like, I can take a hint.
Are you sure she wasn't married?
Because that was our theory.
You think she was married?
Yeah.
Who knows?
Maybe.
She kept canceling.
She was like really, really flaky.
Yeah, real flaky.
Yeah.
If you get married, by the way, the family has nothing to talk about anymore.
I know this is always like.
This is like our live action.
We like follow every step.
Yeah, especially to add.
But yeah, our theory was that she was married.
I have a funny story in that vein.
I was on Bumble in like 2017.
Met this girl, had a great date.
Made plans for a second date.
The next night I'd go to my favorite restaurant.
is called Chili's. It's delicious. I'm there with my buddies and I see my date for the night before and
I'm going over to say hi and I realized she's there with her husband and her kid. No language.
She was married. That's that has happened. No. Wait, you only, but you had only gone on one date with her.
Yes. So did she just like lie to your face? She lied to my face and she had a ring and everything and I looked at her and
I'm like, wow. Did she didn't have her? No, I didn't confront her, but I did run into her at a furniture store
about a month later. She was an associate there. No. It was awkward. And I looked her up online.
and turned out, you know what's crazy?
In her bumble, she was wearing a white dress in one of her pictures.
I don't know if they had like a weird arrangement or what.
I had no idea.
She ever, she have a pineapple.
Okay.
Because isn't that a symbol?
Oh, the swingers.
The swingers.
You ever met a swinger?
Maybe, but I'm not.
No, it's upside on pineapples, I think.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I've never met one that I knew of.
That's so sad and uncomfortable that story.
Yeah, that is uncomfortable.
That is very uncomfortable.
How interesting.
So what do you feel like?
like, do you feel like the dating climate is so different than when we were dating?
I feel like, because when did you all get married?
So just so you know, like to put it into context, Tinder was a thing, but Tinder was like,
it was like kind of, I mean, it was like a hookup app, kind of.
And I don't know if it still is.
So Tinder was a thing, and Bumble had just kind of come out.
We started dating in 2015.
Wow.
We're ancient.
We first met, he slitted to my DMs on Facebook.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
That date you guys.
Y'all are old.
I know.
That is wild.
So have you ever had a girl, like, on a first date get, like, super serious and it kind of freak you out?
Be like, yeah, I'm here to get married.
Like, I'm too intentional.
Actually, it reminds me a funny story.
I met a girl on Facebook probably like 2013, and I'm sitting there waiting to meet her at an ice cream shop.
And I remember thinking she was a lot taller than her friends in her pictures.
And she shows up and she's like six foot four.
Like she's like three or four inches to all of them.
Wait, six foot four?
Was she an athlete?
And I'm like six foot and I'm like, oh my, she walked in.
She was beautiful and sweet.
And I like got on my tiptoes to hug her.
And then we went on three dates, but by the third or fourth date, I just couldn't.
You have always loved tall girls.
Yeah, I don't, I mean, I'm not heightest.
You know, I'm open to anything.
You love a tall queen.
Tall queen, yeah.
Like Joe Jonas and his wife.
What's his wife's name?
She's on a, she's on that show with the dragons.
I don't think I saw that.
Oh, no.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Who is it?
Is that Kevin or Joe?
That is Joe.
Joe, the blonde.
Anyway, she's beautiful, but he's like four inches shorter than her.
He just rocks it.
I think the Joe Bros are like 5'7.
Did you know that?
I ruined someone's day when I told him that.
Really?
Like Nick, I think he's 5, 7.
No way.
I promise you.
They are.
You should look that up.
I will.
But I could see that.
But yeah, he married a tall queen and they're a very good looking couple.
So we were talking about you getting dumped.
You know, that's always entertaining.
Let's go back to that subject.
I mean, you were dating someone for a long time.
Yes.
We all know her.
Very public relationship.
Yeah.
Her name was Emma.
Yeah.
And just so you guys know, actually, we should kind of recap this a little bit.
So the past couple years, I have kind of deemed myself as my brother's matchmaker,
more for selfish reasons.
I want to have a say in who enters into this family.
And I'm hoping for.
some cousins for my own children, hopefully soon.
It could be a minute.
I'm aware.
So I ended up hosting essentially like a reality TV show on my Instagram
called The Matchmaker for my brother.
We've had two seasons now.
The first season actually happened because you were in town,
you were visiting.
And Lannon had a date.
And he was super excited for it.
And we're like all sitting on the sofa and he got a text.
And this girl just like completely stood him up, right?
She just, didn't she like not respond?
Yeah, she just like quit responding.
Yeah, and I honestly felt for you.
So I said, you know what?
I have so many people on my Instagram.
All these girls that follow me.
Like, let me just go to my Instagram pool and see if anyone else is single.
So put it out there.
And I said, hey, my brother's available tonight.
I want to find a date for him.
And just like the response that we got was insane.
So, you know, of course me, I found this as an opportunity to make it something epic.
So Jordan and I were like, let's host the matchmaker.
So season one was, I would say, like, definitely a success.
We ended up having three date, three girls that you dated.
You ended up with Peyton, who was like amazing, long story short, she lived here, didn't work out.
So we ended up going to Nashville for season two.
In season two, we went all out.
And I think the funniest thing about these, like, these things that we do online is people are like, oh, my
gosh, like I bet they make so much money off of all this.
And Jordan my life.
No, we lose so much money.
We don't make a dime off these things.
I think like we spent over $20,000 on episode two or season two.
Season one, I think we spent like probably 20.
And then season two, I think it was like 60 or 75.
Oh my gosh.
That hurts a little bit.
But it was like, I think like for someone who doesn't know you on Instagram, like it's
hard to explain like how big of a deal these like matchmaker things that we did were
because the first one was like all Instagram stories.
The second one we went all out.
We like rented a mansion in Nashville and we were like, no, let's do it again.
But like the matchmaker in paradise.
All these parties.
We ended up having more views than the Bachelor in Paradise.
Like we had 9.4 million people watching this.
It was like, but I think the craziest thing about it from like a content perspective
was like we were literally doing what the Bachelor does, but in real time and real people and on
Instagram.
Like it was so fun.
So what we did was.
I put out kind of like an audition.
Like we had people submit interview, a video interview, kind of saying who they were.
They had to answer all these specific questions about themselves.
They had to send in kind of like a little resume.
And then for season two, we ended up narrowing it down to six people, six girls.
And then from then on out, you know, they all came to Nashville.
And Lannon went on dates, individual dates.
With each one of them, we did a group date where we all went dancing.
two-stepping and then Landon was able to choose who ended up like as a winner.
Yeah.
And yeah, it was a pretty wild experience.
It was a lot, a lot of dates, a lot of planning, a lot of content.
You want to tell them kind of how?
Well, I mean, I think the craziest thing is people think it was like a whole crew that we had
and it was like me, Danny and you the entire time.
Like, in fact, I think a lot of people have tried to do this.
And they're like, hey, we should do the same thing.
thing and they hire this whole film crew and they're not able to release it in time because
they don't understand that it's not someone like an editor who's going to edit it three days
later. It's like, no, we stayed up all night like editing so that we could stay real time
with the whole thing. Like, I mean, we probably pulled like three or four all nighters that
entire time. Oh, yeah. We were editing all because he would go on these dates and then we'd take
all the footage in real time and then have another video ready the next morning.
Yes, it was, it's brutal, but it's so fun. It's very like, it's like magic.
Landed, is it real?
Oh yeah, it was definitely real.
Thank you.
People always like, was it real?
Oh, yeah.
Or the feelings real?
100%.
What was your first impression
of the girls on season two?
Season two, I was excited.
I was very excited.
And season one, don't get me wrong,
I was excited,
but season one was so last minute
and so kind of thrown together.
This one, we had time to go through the girls
and there were more submissions.
And coming from a guy who didn't have a girlfriend
who was 19, it was very wild to see that many submissions
and to be able to see who wanted to do that.
And so it was real.
Yeah.
And then the,
The dates, so Leda didn't have anything to do with actually planning the dates, he literally
would just show up.
Did you have a favorite date on the season two?
No, I had a least favorite date.
Let me tell you why.
It's not because of the person, but riding in a helicopter was terrifying.
It was like a tin can, and I already don't like heights, and I'm up there thinking
this thing to go down at any second.
I hated that.
That was with Brienne.
That was with Brienne, yeah.
Y'all were holding hands that date.
I mean, I didn't say it was because of her.
I just said, I just said, I'm just saying, like, y'all were holding hands,
and I truly thought.
You liked Brienne.
Yeah, yeah, of course I did.
I was like, oh, my gosh, there was something here.
Yeah.
Should we tell people what really happened at the matchmaker, especially for the finale?
Oh, man.
Do you want to?
We can.
I mean, here's the thing.
When it comes to reality TV, you have these producers that really just don't care.
Like, they're out there for the clickbait.
They're out there for the story.
It's hard whenever we were producing it because I would,
was worried about these girls and I was worried about, you know, public perception. I was worried
about their mental health. I was worried about their families. And so there was one part of season
two that was staged because I was trying to protect the girls. And I'm serious. And I am still
proud of it to this day that we decided to go in that direction. But you want to tell them why,
Lannon?
Well, the thing that was tricky about that season was going into it, I knew who my winner was from day one.
Yeah, but you were, I wouldn't say you were torn, but there were two girls that you were interested in.
Yeah.
But there was one I knew who was my winner and there was another one that I liked.
Exactly.
So, you want to tell what happened?
Yeah.
Okay, I'll tell you.
I'll tell you.
Okay, he's home.
So I had gone on my helicopter date with Brienne.
And I liked Brienne.
I did.
Yeah, she was one of the two.
They wanted the two.
And she told me after that date, we had gone to dinner after that.
We went to Maggiano's.
Remember they gave us this nice dinner?
Yeah.
And so we went there.
And then in the car afterwards, she told me that she wasn't interested in us being anything.
And so we agreed on that.
Emma was my winner from the start.
I knew that.
But the moment that Brienne told me that, I was like, okay, we can end this charade right now.
I know Emma's my winner.
Yeah.
And so I called you to call the thing off because I felt weird to be like, let's just pretend that me and Brian could date.
Right.
And I felt weird too because the last thing I wanted was to like tell people that
Brian called it off and isn't interested in moving forward because I felt like at the time
people were going to attack her and be like you took up the spot of someone that wanted to be there.
Why did you go if you weren't ever interested in Landon?
So my thing was like I don't want to hurt her in that way because I know I could tell where people were at.
And I was like, let's just not go.
And it was the best scenario possible because I knew going into a night one, Emma was my winner.
So for Brian to call that, say that, I'm like, okay, good.
I'm not going to hurt anyone.
Yes.
It's just the girl that I like.
No, and I knew that you wanted to choose Emma from like day one too.
Like we all, we all knew that we could see the chemistry.
Yeah.
But it was more in a way to like protect.
Yeah.
And so people, people don't give you credit as a producer for trying to protect the people.
There's some things that I have not posted that's happened with these girls.
And I mean, these are real girls.
And sometimes I don't know if they know what they're getting into.
And so I do feel like mama bear comes out.
And I'm like, yes, we can, we'll show what's going on.
But like, I'm not trying to ruin any lives here.
I think that's what was so special about like the series every time we did it is like, you know, you're right.
Like I think Bachelor producers, they're geniuses.
Like they will manipulate situations, manipulate cuts, footage.
Here's another glass of wine.
Here's another tequila.
shot and I'm like, hey, these girls have parents behind them. They have friends that are watching
this. Like, they have their future ahead of them. Like, this is, it's, it's the internet still.
Right. We created a, like, wholesome, real life bachelor where, like, I think everyone walked
away feeling good. And even the people who weren't picked, I think that they were like, oh,
like, that was so fun. Like, I have no regrets, like, driving here, being a part of it or anything
like that. And that's, like, I think that that's really hard to do. Yeah. And so essentially what was staged
was the fact that we were just like ending everything.
Like we were just like we have to move.
We have to just like choose the winner.
And the reason that we did that was so that Brand didn't have to come back on the series and pretend.
Like she was interested in Landon when she wasn't.
And I was like, I don't even like want to do that.
That just feels like wrong in and of itself.
And so we just ended it.
And Landon chose Emma.
And we created like an epic video.
And it was very, I mean, it was it was honest.
and wholesome because that's who he wanted from day one.
So like the matchmaker like that cliffhanger when we were listening to
Landon's voicemail and it was like to be continued in the finale like those are such
important pieces of Instagram content history that will just like never go anywhere.
But like we we were watching that episode before with Jenny on our team and she was like
there for the whole thing.
We were watching that finale together.
She started crying.
Crying.
And I was like, I was like, man, I wanted to start crying too.
I had to lose the room.
Such a special.
No.
And like, epic moment.
I think we can all agree to this day.
Like, we are so team Emma.
Like, we love her and Peyton who won season one.
Like, we're so obsessed with them.
Like, unfortunately it didn't work out.
Yeah.
Why didn't it work out?
Well, before, that's a big question.
Let me talk about one story within the matchmaker that was like my favorite.
So do you guys remember that we brought Jed on for that one day?
Oh, yes.
So Jed was kind of like a villain to like Bachelor.
Nation, we were like, no, like.
The nicest guy in the world.
So nice.
So nice.
Like, I will defend him
till the end of time.
He's so amazing.
Our pitch to him was like,
listen, like we know that you were kind of villainized on The Bachelor.
We really want to come and show you in like a new light.
He came to your date with.
Ellen.
Ellen.
Oh, sorry.
Ellen was his girlfriend.
Ellen's his girlfriend.
Hannah, right?
Hannah.
Hannah.
Hannah.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
He came on the Hannah date.
He brought Ellen to the.
But we had this like we were teasing people throughout the series that we had this surprise
guess.
And we like only showed his.
footsteps walking up and it was Jed wide of all people.
You know, that was, that was great pulloff.
Well, what's so crazy is, so I quit watching The Bachelor a while ago.
I would say, like, Ben was kind of one of the last bachelors that I watched,
which I think I was still living in Austin at the time.
So it's been, it's been a minute.
But because I'm not in the space,
or because I didn't know who these people were, like I don't fan girl over them.
And so I've actually been able to become friends with a lot of them,
because typically I don't.
like become friends with my idols. I just don't go there. Like I don't ever want to make Taylor
here. Yeah, never meet you here. I'm like Taylor Swift stay far away. I have no interest. Anyway,
so a lot of these girls like I'm we got to notation, Hannah G. Um, we had Chris Harrison send in a
video like we had a lot of people that were part of bachelor nation like sending in content,
which also kind of just like blew it out of the water because people were like, oh my gosh,
like this actually is so legit. And so Jed Wyatt was very sweet to actually show up.
and to do that.
And he was super talented and sing for him and Hannah on the date.
You guys, like, wrote a song after we wrote a song, he came over.
Yeah.
He's the nicest guy.
Yeah, he really was.
He really was.
That day was, in particular, was funny, though, because, like, most of the dates
were pretty epic.
It was, like, helicopters and trapezes.
Yeah.
And we had this idea of, like, this candlelit dinner.
Mm-hmm.
And the park.
Yeah.
So we ran to, like, Whole Foods before, but it was kind of humid outside.
It was, Panera.
Panera.
No.
Listen, we had this.
whole plan to get a really fancy dinner because we went all out with these dates like these dates were
nice last minute it started raining or something and the food fell through so we had to get panera
and the flies were so bad during filming that do you remember the flies and it was like it worked out
on camera but that was probably the most awkward date like in real life because it was like Hannah and
Landon and then all of us just sitting there watching and then Jed just randomly playing a song he probably
Jed was probably like, what the heck is this?
Like, what did I sign up for?
That was a good time.
That was like really good time.
So at the end of it, you know, you chose Emma and I'm still, I mean, the internet is just
dying to know what happened.
What happened?
I mean, I wish I could tell you more.
It just didn't work out.
I think she's amazing.
She didn't do anything wrong.
There was no like weird.
I got a lot of DMs.
Did you cheat on her?
Did she cheat on you?
Did she break your heart?
No, she did nothing wrong.
She was amazing.
It just sometimes doesn't work out.
And that's, that's what.
happens, you know what I mean?
I just want something juicier.
I know you do, but I don't know.
I don't know.
I think a lot of the internet is like, okay, so your sister runs two dating shows for you.
Right, right.
Curates the best women from all across the country.
The best of the best.
The best of the best.
And it's still not working out.
Is there something deeper here?
Yeah, like what's wrong?
What's wrong with me?
No, I mean, I just, sometimes it doesn't work out.
I mean.
Would you say you have any fatal flaws?
Yeah, I think we all have.
laws. I wouldn't say they're fatal. What are they? You know, you ever heard that expression,
girls wait for the right guy, guys wait for the right time? Yes. I think a lot of my life,
it's been timing, and it's only been the past three, four years that I've even been in a mindset
where I'm ready for something long term. So now opening that door, it's just being really
particular about who I spend my time with and who I date. And I feel like I've been a lot more
cautious since my break about who I'm spending time with. I've gone out with like three girls,
maybe four girls since then um just taking it very slow very cautiously yeah you'd take it more
serious because you know what we're only getting older over here do you think it's hard um mom says my seat
is dying she's like don't use your laptop on your lap she's like we're putting your phone in your pocket
it's like gosh mom real talk kind of a doctor film moment for the show here um do you think it's hard
being on all these dating apps like sometimes i scroll Netflix and i never end up watching something because
there's too many options.
Do you think that that happens in Nashville?
The grass is always greener.
Well, that's the, I learned that in business school,
the dilemma with choice.
It's like when you're buying the jam,
if there's too many flavors,
it's hard to choose.
Yeah, it's so true.
I've been victim of that,
but also I know exactly what I want now.
Been a victim to that?
Yeah, I feel, I like,
it's a choice?
I mean, in your early 20s,
you're like, look, look at all these options.
This is amazing, but it's really not.
Yeah.
So I think I'm very, I know what I want,
and so I'm not going to stray.
Just going to wait for it.
Yeah.
Take my time and enjoy.
enjoy the ride. No, I think that's very smart. We're going to let us, we're going to let you ask us
questions as a happily married couple in a second, but. Well, I think it's going to be interesting
because we're so outdated. Like we are, you guys are so old. Well, not only that, but even when it
came to dating each other. Yeah, it was different. Like, I know you hate whenever I tell this story,
but on our first date, Jordan was like, I'm asking you on a date because I think you'd make a great
wife. She says this all the time. I don't think I said that. You said wife in the
first sentence? I don't think I said that. That's aggressive. I really don't think I said that.
It's literally one of the reasons I went on the second date. It's courtship. I respect it.
It just makes me sound so lame. I don't think I did that. He thinks that it's name you sound lame. I loved
that about you. It was one of my favorite things that you did. I was like, I don't know. I definitely
pulled out all the stops, but I don't think I was like, I'm going to marry you. Wait, is that the night you wrote her a song or is that a
different night? Oh, no, that was a different night.
Dude, that song wasn't bad.
I feel like if I played it for Lane, he would love it.
I don't remember it.
Yeah, I'm sure.
It was very fulky.
Fulky.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm a folk.
He's a fulky guy.
I think when I met you, you wanted to make beats.
He did.
Oh, dude, I would still love to do that.
You never taught me.
Yeah, I remember when I first met you, Jordan, you also really wanted to learn how to sail.
I still do.
A boat?
Mm-hmm.
I said, yeah, I'm going through my phases, guys.
He goes through phases.
Yeah, he plays payball every Saturday.
paint paintball. That's amazing. Oh, you should come. I've done it. It's brutal. He goes every
Saturday. Yeah. He leaves me and the kids. I actually love it. It's good. To go to war.
Go to war. And then me and the ladies, we stay back and cook. He's fighting for the family.
For your daughter. He comes back and he goes like, well, it's all over him. I'm like, oh, honey, are you okay?
No, but since playing paintball, I like think about the scenario of someone broke in our house and I feel so
so much more tactically prepared. Yeah. True. No, I love that. Yeah. Anyway, so yeah, Lana, do you
have any questions for us? And I don't want this to be like kind of silly. Like genuinely,
do you have any questions about girls or about dating or just like crazy experiences?
Well, I tapped on this earlier, but I mentioned that girl. And I think about this a lot.
Where it's like, I kind of like this girl. And I didn't text her for three days. So she canceled
our date. What is a healthy amount to text someone you don't know? You know what I mean?
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, ask me anything. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know.
I feel like, I mean, I would say no more than once a day.
But even once a day feels like a relationship.
I don't even know if I like them yet.
You know what I mean?
Let me ask you this.
We're putting the questions back on you.
So are the vibes out there that girls, like every girl's different.
Some want to be text all the time.
Some don't.
Like is that kind of, like is there, what are the vibes out there?
Yeah.
Here's my thing.
When I really think about it, the reason I don't want to text.
someone a ton before I go out with them a couple times is because I don't want to give them the
oppression that I'm already all in. I want to be respectful of their feelings and I feel like by me
by me holding back a little bit and being like let's just kind of talk on our dates for the first
two or three times and then start texting. It's kind of a way for me to reserve. Yeah.
Because if I start texting every day, you're like, oh, he's already into me. We're going to be
boyfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend. Because I've had girls literally will go on two or three dates and like,
since we're on the way to being boyfriend girlfriend and I'm like, whoa. You know what I think I would do?
what is I would text but then I would be like I'm going to follow up at this point like
alluding to like when we'll talk next so that way they don't feel yeah like you're you're
ghosting them so I'd be like helpful yeah I'd be like hey um okay so we're set up for Saturday I'll
text you on Friday before yeah that way it's like oh he's going to text me on Friday and then you
just like have to hit those dates right yeah I feel like that would be good yeah I do I normally
do that the day before I'll text them or I'll say hey let's go out Saturday I'll text you on Friday
to confirm and figure out your address, all that stuff.
That's really good advice, I think.
That is good advice.
I like that one, Jordan.
Just came to him.
He just came to me.
What a natural.
I'd kill it out there.
Yeah, I mean, I would say for me, I'd rather you be, like, straight up and honest
about something than, like, lead me on.
So, like, I'm so different because I'm, like, I would rather you just, like, tell me, like,
hey, I don't, like, I want to get to know you.
So, like, let's catch up on our next day.
And, like, I wouldn't want you text me all the time.
if I don't think that you're actually into me.
There's a lot of girls at Divi,
that are, like, in their dating scene, like, 20 to 30,
and I always, like, hear them talking.
And I think that what I have understood
that drives them the most insane
is, like, the unknown of, like,
is he going to text me back?
Like, it's psychologically, I'm like, man,
I feel bad for these girls.
It's hard.
It's such a mind game.
I don't want it to be that.
Yeah.
We're busy.
We don't know each other that well.
But I think there's a flip side
that if you're, like, too, up front,
then they're, like, ah, boring.
Yeah.
You know, it's,
Do you feel like it's weird if a girl texts you first?
No, I appreciate that.
I don't expect her to do that, but if she does, it's a nice surprise.
Is there, is there ever a time where you feel like a girl's texting you too much?
Oh, 100%.
Really?
100%.
Yeah, if I don't know you and you're texting all the time, that's a lot, because I'm busy.
Do girls still double text?
Is that like, is double texting a no-no?
Is that when you text twice without getting a response?
Yeah, you're like, yeah.
For the most part, I feel like they don't, but when they do, there's a little notification in my head,
Like, okay, something's going on here.
Maybe such a bad date.
Now, we'll say if we're a boyfriend and girlfriend, like, heck, text me all the time.
I don't care.
You know my lifestyle.
You can triple, quadruple text me.
But if we don't know each other at all and you're texting me every morning, good morning and all this stuff, I don't know.
I'm not ready to talk that much.
Danny's one of those texters that like she, even if it's just like one thing that she's saying,
she'll send like one word and then two words after.
It's like a steady stream of consciousness.
Like you probably wouldn't want to be clingy, but just the way that you text,
they'd be like, dude, this girl's.
just texting me like 16 times. I would be psycho in their books. I would be so psycho. I'm so happy
that we're married. Same. Honestly, this sounds horrible. This sounds so hard.
Okay, here's another question for you. And this one threw me for a loop. So like, yes, I've met people
on Hinge. And I always get a number and I'll say, hey, I'm going to call you in the next day or so.
And then I'll call them. And I'd say about 50% are weirded out by the fact that I call.
I love a good phone call. But sometimes they do kind of catch you off guard.
And it's, I would say girls are probably more freaked out because they're nervous.
Yeah, I had a recent date.
I think I told this already.
You're so vulnerable.
I know that she's like, I literally blocked your call whenever you call because I was so freaked out.
And then she called me back a few hours later.
Like she blocked it and knowing it was you?
She's like, oh, I didn't expect you to call.
So I turned it off.
It's like, he's calling.
He's calling.
What do I say?
Like, it's really more something like that.
Yeah, that's so weird to me.
It's like, why can't we just talk?
I think it's great that you called the girls.
Thank you.
I did too.
I did one thing, right?
I think that's the way to do it for sure.
Okay, don't let three days go by without texting,
make sure to call, taking notes.
Yeah, follow-ups.
Oh, yeah, another one I've noticed is, like,
if you meet someone on Hinge,
do you pick them up for the first date?
If you don't know them at all,
I feel like a lot of girls don't want to give out where they live.
So, you know what?
I love that.
And honestly, I wouldn't.
I think you should meet at a public place.
I wouldn't give your address out on the first day,
even if you meet them on Hinge,
unless you have, like,
a ton of mutual,
friends, I think it's best for girls' safety. Like if Stella was going on dates, Jordan,
would you want her to send out her address to some guy that she met on him? I would tell her
wait. I think two is too young. Yeah. When you bring Stella into it, I say yes now, but I think
that we have to acknowledge that that was different than our time. No, yeah. Like I picked you up on
our first date. Yeah, but I also, we did have some mutual friends. And we also had met through work at
first. Okay, so you're saying like if it's such a complete stranger. Absolutely, no, do not have
someone pick you up when they're a complete stranger. Absolutely not. They could be a murderer.
Okay. No, serious. And not only that, but you meet in a public place. You meet in a public place.
Yeah. Always like a coffee shop or a restaurant. Near a police station. You don't go to like a park with someone
alone. Okay. What date do you start picking them up? Second? Second. I mean, once you really start to get to
know them and you know you vet them out and I'm just like a big proponent like hanging out with
groups of people at first you know meeting some of their friends making sure you have mutual friends
because like there's no psychos out there I just would not want to hang out with someone's group of
friends this is just something that girls have to really oh I just think it's something that girls
have so much pressure not only that but like to me and you're not dating the girl you're like having to
impress their friends it's a lot of pressure do I think I'm speaking more for like the female too
because like one of the ways that I can read people is by the people that they hang out with.
And especially if you're going to be dating someone that you don't really know that well,
I like to get to know their friends and like how they treat their friends.
Like does this guy even have friends?
Like if he doesn't have friends, I feel like that's a red flag.
Yeah, that's fair.
Remember whenever I met all of your friends, we had so much fun, we went on that ski trip all together.
Yes.
That in my mind was like a big like green check mark.
I was like, oh, his friends are so cool.
They're fun.
We had a good time.
He is invested in his friendship.
Like that's important to me.
Yeah, that was, okay, I get it.
So do you think it's wise to stalk someone before going out with them online?
Make sure they have a friend.
Please don't stock anyone.
Not stock stock, but like Facebook stock or Instagram.
Like they have a bunch of TikToks where they're just solo dancing.
That might be a flag for me, you know?
You wouldn't date a girl that's just dancing in a room by yourself on TikTok?
Probably not my vibe, not my aesthetic, you know?
Each their own, you know?
I get the online life, but.
Now I get why no one wanted to date.
You know, a funny Landon story that we've left out is the Taylor Swift story.
I told it last time.
Yeah, he told the last time.
Wasn't invited, sorry.
Sorry.
Yeah.
No, but like if you think about it, I was that girl making YouTube videos alone in my room.
Yeah, I loved it.
That'd be a flag for me.
I loved it.
That's why we were meant to be.
It meant to be.
So what was the question?
Like, wait, what was the question?
Oh, yeah.
Do you stock them online before going out with them?
Is that wise?
I feel like for a girl, maybe?
for safety to make sure they're normal.
My first thing, anytime I was asked on a date, go to the mutual friends, text the mutual friend,
hey, do you know so-and-so?
Really?
100%.
Like, is he cool?
Like, should I go out in this date?
What have you heard about him?
Yeah, Danny'd be running background checks on people.
100%.
And that's why I knew about you.
I knew everything.
Oh.
No, but I knew that you were in young life.
I stock.
Yeah.
I stock pretty hard.
Oh my gosh. Is that an enormous thing across the board?
Do I need to go clean up my socials?
Yes.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Yeah.
All my mirror selfies, like you're selfies?
All your shirtless mirror selfies.
Actually, I look good in those.
I'm believable.
I don't know.
You're a little pale.
Hey, it's what's on the inside that counts, I would say.
What's a good first date?
Because I've done the drinks a million times.
What gets tiring?
I will say my favorite second date, trivia.
Trivia.
You did bring up trivia earlier.
I think a good comedy show.
Because you don't keep talking and you can be laughing.
And like sometimes I feel like these comedians,
they have some jokes that kind of like break the ice, you know?
It's kind of like taking someone to a movie though.
I think you want to talk, right?
But like a comedy show, then you go and then you talk afterwards,
you talk about movies to do silent.
Comedy show like you can still be interacting a little bit here and there.
I don't know.
That was just always my preference.
I didn't really want to be talking too much on the first date.
Really?
You don't want to get to know them?
Not really.
And you don't want to text them?
I'm just trying to get vibes.
because I literally put her in a car for two hours and drove to a company party in San Antonio from Austin.
We said like four hours together on our first.
That was the night looking back, that was bold.
It was the night that he told me that they wanted to marry me.
Yeah, you're his wife.
Allegedly.
Allegedly.
I can't believe you don't remember that.
There's no proof of this.
I literally probably have like journaled somewhere.
I wouldn't find that.
So, Lan, I don't know.
Like, after all this, do you feel like you have a chance to find love still?
Oh, I have not lost hope at all.
Not one bit.
Do we feel like we have a season three in us?
No, no, no, no, no.
Would you ever do another reality TV show?
Yeah, what if we changed the format, like a love is blind spoo?
Maybe Shark Tank, I think it'd be fun.
To be an investor in my business.
Love is blind?
No, no, no, no, no.
No love shows.
Why?
No matchmakers.
I'm meeting girls now in the wild.
In the wild, organically.
The mall or like cafe shops or whatever.
I don't know.
We like snap our fingers and like six girls walk in here.
We do a surprise season of the matchmaker.
Oh, no.
I'm done.
That was fun though.
I have to say that was an awesome experience.
Oh yeah,
it was great memories.
And I'm thankful for it and I met so amazing people.
But man,
it's also,
it makes you very vulnerable
because when it doesn't work out,
I still get DMs daily about it.
Yeah.
It's wild.
People were invested in.
Is that why you had to make a statement
pretty much because like you and Emma
were getting bombarded?
I had people getting mad.
Like,
why didn't she hear what's going on?
Why aren't you talking about it?
Oh my goodness.
I feel like they own you.
I'm like, come on Barbara.
Let me heal.
Barb from Kentucky.
Let me heal.
