Starting point is 00:00:03 The following podcast is a dear media production. Hello and welcome back to your favorite podcast. D-influenced. We're back. Wow. We're back. And we're not back. It's not just the two of us.
Starting point is 00:00:18 It's the three of us. If you're not watching on video, you're missing a very cute baby in Danny's arms. He has a lot of hair, aka Divi. Yeah. He always yawning. So Summit is here with us in the studio. video. The other two are at school. And so we're going to have to figure out to do this. The logistics with three are different. I really need a family of five, like with similar
Starting point is 00:00:48 age children, like gaps to call me. No, for real. I really need to know how you live your life. When there's like when they're split up, like the kids, the older kids do all these things. Then you have a baby, it's different. It's very confusing. I mean, just the car alone, the car seats situation. I think I'm on my third car seat. I'm trying to fit through your cross in my Porsche Cayenne. It's not, it's not working. Is it possible? Um, so I asked the car mom and the one that she said, like if it works, she said, this is the one and it's sitting outside in our front porch. So we'll, we'll try it. I mean, okay, you'll unbox it and try it. Yeah, I'll try it. Test out. Let us know if it works.
Starting point is 00:01:36 So, so high. Yeah, do you want to tell us about this little stunt that you pulled, this social media break to launch your pregnancy? So people say? Man, I wish that's what it was. Yeah, hey, me too. That would have been, no, I mean, it was a social media break. And I do want to talk about it like in a whole other episode. I want to talk more about our birth, like the birth.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Because that's more what's on the top of my mind. Yes. And, you know, it's a lot to process taking two months, almost two months off. I think it was maybe six weeks. Yeah. All I'll say is I had no intention of being gone for so long. I think when people saw I wasn't around for Black Friday. That's when they knew.
Starting point is 00:02:26 They knew. It was for real. Because your girl hasn't missed a Black Friday in 13 years. And I mean, everyone knows Q4 is like it's go time for any business owner, for any business. And but I just decided to prioritize other things in my life. And that's what I did. And I'm back. What would you call that?
Starting point is 00:02:51 Would it be called a break? You made a joke. You called it something else in one of our videos, but you cut the clip out. I went cuckoo. Yeah, you said you went cuckoo. I went cuckoo. No, I don't know. I mean, there were so many stages of my break too.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Totally. So. Break down. What was it? Was it a break? Was it a break down? Was it, will we ever know? Was it a break up? No. Okay. Not with you and me. Oh, okay. I think that that's one of the things. Oh, I was like breaking up with certain things or was it like letting go. Letting go or was it just rest. Yeah. Or was it hell? Or was it?
Starting point is 00:03:32 Because sometimes it felt like hell and then sometimes it felt like. Heaven. Well, heaven is coming. I think the peace is past the pain. We're like not speaking English right now. Listen, listen. But to us, it makes so much sense. I know.
Starting point is 00:03:54 And listen, we will have an episode where we touch on this. Just please give me some more time to even like process everything that. we've been going through. Right now, I'm just so focused on summit in this newborn stage in my postpartum that that's like what I'm focused on. But like, I mean, y'all know me like, we'll get to it. We'll get there. It's not the right episode back. But can I say one more thing about this chapter, this two months, is this is really good for like podcast listeners because the theme that you always had was if I take a day off of the internet. Everyone will hate me. Everyone will hate me and I'm irrelevant.
Starting point is 00:04:32 And what is crazy about this time is, listen, we live normal lives, like outside of this podcast and outside of social media. Well, now we live very normal lives. Yeah. But, like, I had people taking pictures of me walking around the lake. They had, like, Zoom lenses on their iPhones and were like, I spotted Jordan walking by himself. Is he with Danny? No, they're divorced. And it was like, it created this paparazzi, like, craze.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Like, I was walking into the gym. And I wonder if the people, like, who took this picture or listening, I was walking into the gym, this car of two girls pulled up next to me, the passenger seat, like, rolled over, took a picture of me. And it's like, seven in the morning. And I was like, did that just happen? Because that never happens to me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:22 And so, you know, the point, maybe the lesson learned for all these influencers is, like, you can take breaks in argument that it's like, you know, It kind of like keeps the hype train going. Like I felt more relevant during your break than I ever did when you posted every day. Well, here's the thing for me. And then I do want to move on. I, there were weeks I didn't even have my phone on. Like, that's how extreme.
Starting point is 00:05:46 I was, I was not even like watching Netflix. Like I was so outside of what was going on that when I like a month in, like once I did, you know, I downloaded the app again. or whatever, I still had no idea what was going on. And no one, and I told everyone in my life, like, I told like six or seven of my best girlfriends and then my team kind of like an update. And I was like, listen, I'm piecing out. Like, I'm going bye-bye.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I was like, don't call me. Don't text me. I'm out. I'm not doing Christmas cards. I'm not doing nothing. Well, one could argue the Christmas cards is what really broke it down. People like, the Christmas cards, like, not the Christmas cards. The stress of the Christmas cards.
Starting point is 00:06:30 really could have. Yeah. And so, um, so what was I saying? Oh, my point is, it's just like, you know, all these narratives that were flying around or are flying around, like, I still don't know all of them or what they are. I heard about some of the, the rumors because like one of my girlfriends texted me and was like, were you really on the tart trip? Just as the tart bottle. Oh, that was the best one. That was the best rumor. You have to tell them. So one of my girlfriends was like, Danny, I have to know if you really were. the tart bottle at the tart trip. And I was like, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:07:07 She's like, there's a rumor that you went on the tart trip because I was invited on that. And I was like, I don't know if I ever said I was going to go. Maybe I said I was going to go. But then like I was thinking about it. And I guess there was a rumor that I went and I was disguised as like the shape tape concealer. And people like said my feet looked the same. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Or something. And so I had her send me the picture. And our feet did look similar, I will say. But no, I was not on the Tart trip. That would be very odd if I made everybody like only take a picture with me if I was in the shape tape. I don't know. Yeah, that's not really. Also, like, how would that be helpful to Tart?
Starting point is 00:07:49 Like, they would just let me go for free and not post anything. I don't know. It was a good one, though. That was my favorite one. That would have been odd. Yeah. We'll talk about it more later. Yeah, so we can go more into that later.
Starting point is 00:08:01 But we're back and better than ever. So happy. Like the postpartum period is always so tough for me. And I will say like the first week back from the hospital, I will go down in history and say it was like one of my favorite weeks of my entire life. The first week back? Yeah. The second week kind of sucked.
Starting point is 00:08:23 We fought a lot. Because like then like we had to get back into like. our normal routine and it's just harder, like logistically when you have three babies. But the first week was so sweet. Because, like, just people don't bother you and you get to do like really selfish and you get to like just sit around and breastfeed and just cuddle baby and hang. And it was just euphoric. We didn't plan this. Or at least I didn't know about it.
Starting point is 00:08:50 But about a week before you gave birth, you decided to do it unmedicated. When I went on a social media break, I had thought this would be a really cool thing to start focusing on, like, or to start thinking about. Like, if I go on a break, like, maybe I should think more about, since I was like focused on my health, wellness, mental health, all those things, I was like, this would be a really great moment to like dive deeper into that and just start thinking about if I want to do it or not. But you're correct. two weeks before I decided, I think I want to do this. I texted my friend Ellie. Ellie, do you have a doula? She's like, yeah, let me connect with Ann. Talk to Ann that day. And I was like, you're hired. Paid the deposit shortly after. And was like, I'm giving an unmedicated. I'm like, who's Ann? I'm like, yeah, so we're going to deliver thoughts a little bit. I'm going unmedicated.
Starting point is 00:09:49 So pause. Can you help me understand the connection between like your wellness and doing it unmedicated. Yes. So I have had just, you know, backing up a little bit, I have had probably like the hardest times of my life have always been postpartum. Like our lives. Yeah, our lives. Yeah, true. True. I'm like alive. It's hard. And I think that also led to the social media break was like I was like kind of like ramping up for this period of time that I was like kind of anticipating that I was a little fearful of because now, oh, sorry. Well, you also had a really hard pregnancy, too. I had a really hard pregnancy, the hardest.
Starting point is 00:10:34 But so I started doing my research about the epidural and potosin. Because my best friend, Ellie, is also like a health nut guru. She's like a functional medicine expert. And she was really into like all these books about, you know, natural births, unmedicated births. And so, you know, I've talked about in the podcast, I'm like, man, maybe like the spytocin and the epidural is also causing some of this postpartum depression or maybe it's like hindering my ability to fully heal in the way that I need to heal after my postpartum's. And to be honest, I was just so desperate for a different experience. I think I was willing to try anything.
Starting point is 00:11:16 So I kind of made it my mind and I was like, okay, I'm going to do this. And here's a thing. it's so funny because once I pay for something, like I do it. And when we put that, I was like avoiding the deposit for like a week from it. Like she texts me every day. She'd be like, hey, can I get that deposit? And I'd be like, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's coming. It's coming. But like I knew.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I was like, once I pay, like, I'm doing it. I don't know why. Yeah. And like the math of like how much pain you're about to go through versus the deposit was like, I was like, I don't feel like this logic makes sense. but it's okay, I'll let it happen. No, I was like, I'm not going to pay someone to come doula my birth and then get an epidural. Like, I could have done that about myself.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yeah, you're like, I'm going to get my full service. You're in like the most intense pain of your life and you're like, I paid her $200. I can't stop now. Let me tell you, doulas are about 2,000. I know, I was kidding. But could not have done it without her. No, 100%. No way.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Or was she like 1800? It was like 1800. I rounded up. whatever. It's expensive. And so, yeah, so I started doing my research about it. And then I just got in that mind space, like, where, you know that mind space I get where I'm like, I'm just, I'm going to do it. I'm just having doing this.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Yeah. You know. So, yeah. I feel like most, are there like studies on this link between Potocin and postpartum and pressure or no? I feel like Big Pharma wouldn't want to study that. I feel like there are. There probably are.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I call it like Facebook group Mums Research where it's like it's like there's enough women talking about it where we all kind of know it's true But like the you know the system doesn't want to acknowledge it kind of thing is that how it works? Yeah I mean it's just at the end of the day it's I've had two births there trust me there are pros and cons to both sides and like No matter what like there there's going to be like a downside to both but at the end of the day it's just very, like, empowering to just do it naturally. Like, but, you know, I don't know if there's, like, strict studies that say this or that. But, like, I mean, if you can go natural, like, why not
Starting point is 00:13:31 try it and see if there's a difference? That's how I felt. So when the, the contraction started, did you have any doubts in that moment that you were going to do it? I'm, I'm so funny, because I went into it. I'm like, I'm going to keep an open mind. But, like, in the back of my head, I was like, you can't have you do this, you're doing Austin. Like, don't you do what? Like, You know, like, but like to everybody else, everybody else, I'm like, yeah, I'm going to keep on in mind, like, just see what happens. Because here's a thing about me. I tell myself what I want to do internally, but externally, I won't say that because I don't want to let other people down. Yeah. So like everybody else was like, yeah, like, if I get the middle, it's fine.
Starting point is 00:14:08 And so my doula, Ann and I, we had a code word because when you are starting with the contractions and the pain, a lot of times people like will just be like, I can't do this. Give me that by drill. but they don't actually mean it because they're just like, you know, they're just saying things. So Ann said, she said, kill me. You didn't actually mean it with tears and like rabid vomit coming out of your mouth. You didn't actually mean it. You just, that wasn't the code word.
Starting point is 00:14:36 I'll be honest. In that moment, I think I meant it. I think you did too. It's a new year, which means new health goals. Starting point is 00:18:53 What was the code word? Hazel. Oh. So I told her, I said, If you started crying out for Hazel in the delivery room, I would have been like, I am so confused. Like, she's entered into another dimension. She's in heaven now.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Bring her back. But only Anne and I knew. It was like a secret word or passcode. And she goes, Daniel, I'm not going to get you that for Dural unless you hazel me. And I was like, okay. And I didn't hazel her. And there were times I was like, Anne, I can't do this. And I looked at her straight in eyes.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I said, Anne, kill me. I said, and I said, rip him out. Cut him out. There were times like I was saying that. And I was screaming in pain. But I never hazled. And I know I wasn't going to. I think the one temptation you had to not do.
Starting point is 00:19:41 was actually prior to the contraction starting because you were in week 38. 39 when I went to labor. You expected to deliver at week 38. And let me tell you, the cost of your expectations of not delivering early were hard on this home. Because you thought on a Sunday, you were like, oh, yeah, yeah. No, at week 37, I thought. Yes, because you got the membrane sweep. And then you were like, we're going to deliver this weekend.
Starting point is 00:20:08 And let me tell you, that weekend came to Sunday. And Monday through Friday, that week that you didn't go into labor was not fun. Yeah, because every day, I was like, today's the day. Today's the day. And then I got a second membrane sweep. And I was like, gosh, dang it. I was like, this baby's not even close to coming out. And every time I'd go, I wasn't really dilated that much more.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Yeah. And then you got prongitis. And you were like, okay, now should I get another membrane sweep? Because like, I'm sick. I was really sick. And, you know, there were a couple days within that Monday through Friday. thing where we were intensely fighting. And I was like, oh my
Starting point is 00:20:42 gosh, don't do a membrane sweep. Yeah. I was like, if I go into labor right now, I told Jordan, I'm like, you're not coming with me. And I was like, I'm protecting my piece. I was like, okay, I'll be there. But like, the hormones were raging. The peace was not protected.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Like, it was, yeah. And then you did a membrane sweep that morning. And I was like, we've got to make up. I'm not invited into the labor room. Did tell him that. Yeah. So, but you know what it worked?
Starting point is 00:21:13 Let me tell you, I swear by this. The bouncy ball and the red, the, oh my God, raspberry leaf tea. Is that what it is? Yeah. The raspberry tea. Yeah. That combination together, I did it that one day and I went into labor that night.
Starting point is 00:21:32 So you start having contractions. You know, it felt the same, you know. Well, so this is what... How long was the whole labor process for us? Let me like recap what actually had because this was actually really scary. Yeah. What happened with that never happened to me in any other pregnancy. That's right.
Starting point is 00:21:51 So, um, I had been having contractions all week, like intense ones, but then they would only last for like five to ten minutes and then go away. So we went to bed that night after we puzzled and drank the tea and bounce on the ball. And, um, also they always say, okay, like the last week, like, If you can basically do it, like, it helps a lot because it softens your cervix. But we were like not in a good place. So like we weren't doing that.
Starting point is 00:22:18 I was like, I mean, I'm still down if you want to. No. No, I was like absolutely not. That castle was close. Let me tell you. But we did that with all the other like pregnancies. And I do think that helps. But anyway, so we were, we got in bed.
Starting point is 00:22:37 And then like around probably 2 a.m. I woke up. But, you know, I literally like the last weeks of pregnancy, I'm up every two hours peeing, which I think is God's way of preparing you for breastfeeding. I've always felt that way. Because like you're up all night long just going pee. That's exactly what you're up all night doing with breastfeeding. So he prepares you for breastfeeding, but not the equivalent of breaking 20 bones in your body. Well, I think he does do that by making the pregnancy nine months. Like, I think you're so, like, you're, like, you anticipate it so much and you want it so badly, you're willing to go through any amount of pain. Oh, interesting. Yeah. And you want it to just be out so bad because it's... Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Yeah. So I actually think it's all very, like... By design. By design. But it is crazy. Like, I think if pregnancy were, like, one month longer, like, women wouldn't. get pregnant. Like, I feel like God gives you exactly what he knows you can handle. Like, up until, even, like, with the amount of pain that a natural birth is, like, if it was one
Starting point is 00:23:43 notch higher, I think that, well, first of I think I would have died. But second of all, I think that, I think that, like, women, like, wouldn't get, like, it's exactly, like, the threshold that we can handle. It's, it's crazy. It's kind of, like, beautiful. Yeah. No, I truly believe that. And so, So anyway, so we were in bed. It's like 2 a.m. I start having contractions. Very normal. I have them every night. I have to pee. I get it to go pee and I look down and I am dripping. Like I would use like the word hemorrhaging. Like like a steady flow of blood. Like just I'm walking to the bathroom and it's just like a stream of blood is following me. I sit down on the toilet and blood is just rushing. Like it's like basically like I'm peeing blood. So I'm like freaking out because I need. No, that's not normal. And I know that if you are soaking like a pad, like every, I don't remember like the time period, but if you're soaking pad after a pad, like that's not okay. So I, um, so that goes on for about like two minutes.
Starting point is 00:24:43 And there's like blood everywhere. Yeah. No, I, yeah, that was. And I woke up and I go, Jordan and I said, I don't think this is normal. I don't know what's happening. So he, like, rushes out of bed and he starts calling the hospital and I call my doula. and I send her pictures of like all the blood and how much. And she's like, yeah, that's not normal.
Starting point is 00:25:04 That's like too much blood probably. And luckily I had just gotten my OB's phone number, which she's never given me her phone number for other pregnancies. Probably because of the exact thing that I did. I call her at like 2 or 3 a.m. And this is like 2 a.m. And I send her pictures. And she was like, has it stopped? And I was like, yeah, it finally stopped.
Starting point is 00:25:27 she said, okay, then definitely come in, but like, I think you're, it's okay. And so, um, so anyway, uh, the, the, the bleeding had stopped, but the contractions started to get closer together. So we downloaded the contraction app and they say, like when you're at a 4-1-1, start going to the hospital. So that is, um, contractions every four minutes that last, uh, 60 seconds for an hour. When you have that, then go to the hospital. Mine were like two minutes apart. But I was like, I'm doing an un-made birth, so who cares if I have it in the car?
Starting point is 00:26:07 Like, that was like literally my mentality. Yeah. I was like, if I'm going to do it at home or I was like, the last thing I want to do is, is I was like, I'd like to prolong this as in his guest. It wasn't me. But I was like, I'd like to prolong this as much as possible. And if I can keep myself distracted from the pain at home with like packing my bags and doing my makeup. Like, I'd rather distract myself longer here to get to the hospital
Starting point is 00:26:34 and feel like I have to. I don't know. That was just my mentality. I was like, wait as long as you possibly can. So, call my doctor. She was like, is baby kicking? I said, I don't know because I think baby's sleeping. And she said, okay, go eat something sweet. So I went and had some yogurt. And woke him up. He was kicking in my belly. Everything was good. So we got the rest of our bags. We packed up. We had to wait for Brenda to come because, like, no one was here to watch the babies. Brenda was the only one, like, available to watch the babies. So she had, she had a way to wait for her to get here. The kids are still sleeping. And then we finally drove to the hostel, which I'm so happy this was, like, the pregnancy that you finally decided it was okay to run red lights.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Like, every pregnancy, he's like, it's like, we've always gone into labor at, like, 3 a.m. And, like, nobody's out. Jordan's like stopping at these red lights as I'm like screaming in pain. And like this one, I was like, you can go, babe, you can go. And so yeah, I was doing all the contractions in the car, still timing them. They were about two to three minutes apart. When I got to the hospital, I was still, I think it was like seven centimeters dilated and like 90% effaced. And I was like, really? Like, you know, I'm like, I thought I'd be like ready to go. And so. What time did we get to the hospital? We got to the hospital probably like around 3.30, I would say.
Starting point is 00:27:57 So we delivered at 6.16 a.m. So I labored for about three and a half, four hours. It's crazy how fast it goes by. Yeah, they say your third, just like be ready. But this is what's so crazy. So the contractions like at home and in the car are like really painful. They last about 45 seconds to a minute. But man, when you get to the transition part, there is this part of pregnant or like an unmedicated birth where it's like when you're probably like eight centimeters to 10 centimeters dilated. I had back labor. Yeah, is that where you like, that's why you had me like rubbing your. Yeah, my hips pushing my hips together. Like the. Which just saying, Anne was there for that, but you wanted me to step in. Because you had the muscles. Right, but you never, you're always like you're not doing it right. This is not good enough.
Starting point is 00:28:49 You like finally started working out. I know. It was, it was crazy. I was like, you want, you're tapping me in. This is great. Yeah. Yeah. Because you could like, like, I like, I, like, I, like, I need. needed a lot of counter pressure. And you needed a lot of mental coaching from Ann. Ann, yes. She, I would say that that was her highest and best value, because if I would have been like whispering in your ear, like, you could do this. I'd be like, shut up. Shut up. Get out. Get out. Like, but she was like, she just like got you through it. She was amazing. I think that there were a couple times where you probably started to question like, can I do this? And I think she helped you push through. Yeah, because she had done it so many times. She's like, Danny, I promised you, your baby is almost here. Like, you got this like you are all and she's like you are living through the hard part like you're
Starting point is 00:29:31 doing the hard part like it only it's like you're like why give up now when you're in it like and i was like yeah you're right if i'm in it then let's just keep going like if i had more to expect that was harder i would have probably tipped out and but i think i did but she just didn't tell me about the pushing part you're very coachable yeah you're very coachable person yeah yeah we're thrilled to officially be a family of five but this means our budgeting needs to change this is where Rocket Money comes in. Starting point is 00:32:33 Make sure you use the code Danny so that they know we sent you. So, yeah, man, that those last, that last hour of contractions, last 30 minutes, you basically feel like you're kind and half set on fire. why. The greatest thing about that, though, is like I said, God doesn't give you anything that you can't handle because you get breaks. So with the contractions, she would, I'd be in the middle of the
Starting point is 00:32:58 most painful contraction and she would say, Danny, you can do anything for a minute. Anyone can do anything for a minute. She's like, it's going to be over with soon. Like, you have 30 more seconds. Like, kind of like working out, like, you're like, it hurts so bad. But like, you know there's an end, like once you get to the end of your reps. That's kind of like the mentality that I had. And so I'm like, okay, 35 seconds, 34 seconds, you know, counting down. And then you get a break. And then you don't. And you're exhausted and you're like, oh my gosh, like you're anticipating. You're freaking out about the next one. But you're, you do get a break. And so that part is amazing. That's why I'm like, anyone can do it. Anyone that wants to have an unmedicated birth can do it because of that, because of the breaks you get. So are you saying that
Starting point is 00:33:42 the transition where you were cut in half and lit on fire is worse than the push. because I remember the pushing being the most painful. I'll tell you, I'll tell you what it is. I would say in terms of pain, they're very similar, but I think the pushing for me, so once you get to 10 centimeters,
Starting point is 00:34:04 100% of face, it's time to start pushing. I feel like naturally it would have been best for me to just push probably standing up. But my doctor was like, okay, you're going to lay down on the bed and put your feet in the stirrups and push this way because I think it's probably easier for the doctors to receive the baby that way.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Not advice. But maybe safer too. Like, I don't know. I don't know. I honestly, here's the thing. I decided two weeks before and let me say I didn't read all the books to L.A. Roger. Like I kind of was just like, well, let's sling it.
Starting point is 00:34:34 You know, I didn't really have expectations. Well, your hip popped out of place. Yes. So my hips are very tight. And then the stirrups, they were, it was very uncomfortable. I was pushing. And I think, okay, so when you sit, when you sit down, you lay down to push, I think half of it was fear. Like, I think I was screaming and scared of the fear, not the actual pain.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Like, the pain was, yes, so painful. But, like, when you're pushing, you know that it's like you're pushing something and it's going to have to come through. Like, and I was scared of that moment, like the crowning. So I was scared. I was more so scared, and that's why I kept on saying, like, I think I kept saying I'm scared. Like, I was like, I'm scared. I'm scared. I don't know what's going to happen. Like, I didn't know what to expect. With the contraction, you know what's going to happen because they've been going on and on and on. So there's like this fear that you have because you're like, okay, I'm going to push, but what's going to happen? Like, am I going to, I honestly felt like I was going to explode. I was like, I'm going to explode. Like my body's going to explode onto the wall.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Or just like kind of tear in half. Yeah, you just kind of don't. That's like, that's the fear part of it. And then. Sorry, question. Do you feel. like pressure? Like is it like, what does it feel like? Is it like a knife stab or is it just like pressure? Both. But like I think a knife stab would feel like nothing compared to this. I know. I'm just trying to like understand the sensation.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Is it like, is there an analogy or a metaphor? To be honest, it'd be like, I don't remember. See, that's the other thing. I don't remember what it felt like. I remember what the contractions felt like, but I don't. really remember like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:36:17 But I do remember like the crowning. So they say there's like, okay, you get like the ring of fire. So when you're pushing, you know, first of all, everybody's like yelling at me like, Danny, you got this. And my doctor comes in. And she's like, everybody? She's like, no, she remember that. She goes, Danny.
Starting point is 00:36:35 Because I started screaming. Like I started like being like theatrical. Yeah. Well, there was one time it was, it was very much like, an exorcist moment where her eyes rolled into the back of her head. I'm getting there. Oh, sorry. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:49 So I started screaming because I was scared more so than the pain. I was just scared of like, I can't do this. I can't do it. And everybody's trying to talk to me. So then my doctor, like, I think my doctor started to get worried because she was like the ending like, you had to start pushing or like the health of your baby could be in jeopardy, you know. So she was like, get it together and like push.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Like, and I was like, okay. So I started pushing and it just felt so weird. I don't know. I was just like so scared. And then I really started pushing. And that's whenever the crowning happened, which I would say is three seconds of a near-death experience. Like I think I went outside my body and like saw myself on the table for like three seconds. That is, wait, wait, wait for real though? Like it was it was like I started seeing red. And that's when my eyes rolled back to the back of my head and I started throwing up because it was so intense that but here's the thing. It only lasted three seconds. And then I was back. So three seconds and then
Starting point is 00:37:52 the baby was out. Yeah. Okay. Because like you did truly yell a lot of things before that. Yeah. And it's funny because I actually don't think you remember the series of events. I don't know if I do. Like you started screaming. So this is a funny story. So Dan and I have. to a TMI right now. It's hard. Like it's so, it gives me such the heby-jeebies. Like,
Starting point is 00:38:16 you're not being TMI, but it's like, like, I can't squeeze my hands because like I, like, I'm like so, like,
Starting point is 00:38:23 stiff and like I feel the blood just curdling. Anyway, we, so Danny asked our videographer, Haley, to come and film the birth. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:34 but we're tight like that. No, no, no, yeah. It wasn't like, unprofessional. Yeah, no,
Starting point is 00:38:37 it wasn't unprofessional. We're like, we're like, what's there? But so. So, Danny invites Haley to come film the birth. And what's so funny about it is Haley is currently pregnant with her first. And when Haley walked- Why she was so excited to do it. She was like, yeah, I'm pregnant.
Starting point is 00:38:53 That's would be great. So Haley comes and I go, when she first walked in, you were kind of like early on in your contractions. I was like, have you ever been through a birth before? And she's like, no. Like, and I was like, listen. She's like, this will be great. You know, she really was.
Starting point is 00:39:05 And she was like, I was like, listen, it's going to get really intense. it's nothing like you've ever experienced, but just like keep the camera rolling. And I was like kind of kidding, kind of serious. And so I want to paint this picture of like before the crowning. Danny was screaming, kill me. Kill me now. Like, Jordan, listen to me. I need you to kill me.
Starting point is 00:39:26 And I'm like. I do remember that. And then she's like, she's like. And it's so funny. I was being so, I was being dead ass. Like I was like, you guys, because here's the thing. I knew I couldn't get the eponymous. remembering. I knew I couldn't get the epidural. So the only way to escape the pain was for one of
Starting point is 00:39:43 y'all to kill me because I knew that was my only way out. That was my only way out. And so what you what you screened. Oh my gosh. What you screened before the crowning was I'm dying. Help me. I'm someone kill me. And I looked over at Haley across the bed. She wasn't filming like down there. She was just like filming the face. And I, her eyes got really big and she turned the camera off and like put the phone down. And like almost like looks like. she started praying and after the fact, and after the fact I went up to her, after the fact I went up to her and I go, what do you think? And she goes, I literally had to stop filming because I actually was like, oh, Danny's dying. And I cannot film this. And so, I feel so bad. No, it's okay. I mean, she's fine. She's fine. I mean, she wanted to do an unmedicated birth, but now
Starting point is 00:40:35 she's out. She's pieced out on that one. It was, I was just being. dramatic. No, I was being dramatic. So anyway, right before the crowning, your eyes roll in the back of your head and you don't vomit. It's more like you have rabies and like it's like foaming at the mouth. And it's just like that's, I think, the out of body experience where like that's where I was. It almost felt like you genuinely left your. No, I surrendered. I surrender. I remember the pain was so excruciating that I couldn't even fight it anymore. Because you know when something is painful, you tense up and you try to like mentally fight it. And then you were just like,
Starting point is 00:41:11 the pain was so intense that I was like, really, like just Jesus take me. Like, take me away. That's what I felt. Did he? I think for three seconds. That's crazy. Anyway, so then, yeah, like it,
Starting point is 00:41:24 so then you, like, it crowns and then it comes out. And you, I remember you were kind of like in shock. I know. That's something like, let me just tell you. I'm going to be totally honest with you guys. It's like, I have felt so empowered and so amazing about this unmedicated birth. And it's so funny because the first sentence after Summit came out, I said, I was like this,
Starting point is 00:41:48 I never want to do that again. That is true. I never want to do that again. I never want to. And everybody's like, you don't have to. You don't have to do that again. And I had to be honest with you, I might try to do an unmedicated birth again. I knew that was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:42:01 But here's a thing. The experience afterwards with someone. coming out compared to my other babies coming out with the epidural was kind of hard. It was kind of sad. Like somebody came out. I was in so much shock. And I like I did not. I could not enjoy him at all. Like he came out and they laid him on my chest. And I was like like shaking. And and, you know, we were trying to, we didn't know if it was going to be a boy or girl. And they were like, it's a boy. And like literally in my head, I'm like, what is a boy? Like, what is a girl? Who am? Like, who?
Starting point is 00:42:36 Who am I? Where am I? Like, and I, and it still hurt after. Like, I, I still was kind of like struggling with a little bit of the pain because I had to deliver the placenta. And then she also was like checking everything to see if I had tore or whatever. Like, and so I was very uncomfortable. My hips were still really uncomfortable. And so I just feel like I didn't really get that sweet moment that I got with Staling Stratton where they come out and you just like emotionally are so, like excited and attached and like oh my gosh and and you're crying because you're just like it's like a miracle you're amazed this time around I was just not there and um and they put him on my chest I feel like I couldn't even touch him like I was like scared to move like it was so weird
Starting point is 00:43:23 and so that's the only that that's why I say there's there's pros and cons to both and um you know I posted this reel talking about like how like empowering it is to have an medicated birth and like people took it so like literal and I was like I was joking because like it's very I think some people don't know my humor but like I'm like yeah it's like amazing like you feel like you're like you should get a metal but like I don't actually think that like no matter the way that you want to like have your child enter this world is like totally who cares as long as they're healthy who gives a crap but it is very empowering and it is like by God's design and every single female can do it.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Like there is nothing that God would put in front of us that we could not do. Like, you can do it. You can 100% do it. It's hard. It's challenging. But like I will say, I think this postpartum has been so different because I've been so proud of myself. Like I've been like, wow, I'm a badass beat. You know, it's kind of like the same thing as like running a marathon.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Like you run a marathon. That is hard. Like good for you. You are a bad A. That doesn't mean everybody else that doesn't run marathons isn't amazing. Like, you know, everyone is amazing in their own way. But like, you did, you put your mind out to something and you did it. Like, you should celebrate and be excited. And that's why I also like, I feel like this, I've always felt like, I've never had like postpartum depression where I felt just like not attached to my children. Like, I've never felt like, oh my gosh. My postpartum depression has always been very like internal. Has nothing to do with my kids. And but I will say there's just like something really special. about, I don't know, it's just like an experience that we went through together. Like we, it's like we were working together.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Like me and Summit were like, and I don't know if it was boy or girl, but we were working together in that like room in a way that like nobody else could ever understand. Like I was feeling him and he was feeling me and we were like, we were like, we got this. It does feel like the bond is really strong. Yeah. Not to say your bond with our other kids wasn't strong, but this is like, there's something different. It's different. It's not better or worse. It's just there's something. There's also, it's like an added element, you know. Yeah. Isn't it crazy? Like you, was it once or twice you ended up in the ER thinking you had a heart attack? Once. Yeah, technically one. Technically once, almost twice. And it was like the gallbladder attacks. But like when he came out with that hair, like, isn't that what created the acid reflux that was so intense? I don't know if that's just like a myth, but they say like when you have acid reflex.
Starting point is 00:46:04 But it makes sense. Look at his hair. I know. It's crazy. It's crazy. He's got like better hair than like me. Can I tell you all a funny story about that? So, um, well, well, first of all, are we done with that, that whole story? Well, I'll just tell you.
Starting point is 00:46:21 He was also 8.1 pounds. So he was like a decent size. You know, he wasn't. Are you surprised you didn't tear? I tore in the labia just a little bit. it still stings when I pee. It's like, like, but it's not like anything I had to get stitches for. So honestly, yeah, I am surprised because of the pain I would have thought like I would have
Starting point is 00:46:45 to be someone literally back together. But no, like it's, it was great. I'm so happy. How do you feel like in this postpartum, like do you think it was the minimized potosin? Do you think it was the empowerment of doing an un-macated birth? Do you think it's the healthier relationship with work you're coming back from? Like, what is the most impactful to you not being depressed right now? I think the break I took.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Yeah. Like, if I'm being honest, like, I think that because of the break I took, I'm, I was able to do the unmedicated birth. I was able to, like, be in the right mind, like, headspace and feel like I could do it. But no, I think the break that I took where I like really just, I'm like, I was just mom. I was just mom. Just a mom and a wife. Do you think the break you took is going to set a precedent for other people being like, well, if she broke, then maybe I need to take a break too. Yeah. I mean, I hope so. I hope that you guys don't have to hit like a rock bottom to take a break. I hope that you can be more proactive. I hope that it doesn't But it's so funny
Starting point is 00:47:57 Because I like I just always knew I always knew He always knew He was gonna hit a breaking point I always knew that I was gonna have to crash The castle down to like rebuild it But yeah
Starting point is 00:48:07 I always knew I was just like I was the one who was always like Hey like let's fortify this thing a little bit You know let's not And you were just like no I was like we need a bomb Yeah take take a bomb just blow it up
Starting point is 00:48:19 Blow it up I just always knew it And I wanted it I wanted the bomb Yeah So, but no, so I mean that and then just having a really healthy, like, routine, I think. I have a really healthy, like, morning routine and routine with the kids. And it's, it's like a whole bunch of things.
Starting point is 00:48:40 What's been so crazy is, like, I feel like, you know, and I've told you this a lot in private. But we had a conversation right before Summit was born on the back porch. Remember that conversation? Yeah. And what I was starting to feel from you was like you were grinding at work and putting a lot of pressure on yourself there. And the social media world, I think anyone who is a creator would agree to this. It's just it's like a drug. It's like it's such a hamster wheel that's so hard to get off of.
Starting point is 00:49:13 And I had felt like it wasn't serving you in the same way the way that you were doing it. And what I really felt like a lot of your resentment. that you were feeling towards it was like you actually wanted to be more of a mom. And it was like kind of getting in the way. I didn't have resentment toward my work. What would, yeah, maybe not resentment. What would you say? No, I think I've always been very grateful for my work.
Starting point is 00:49:40 I, and maybe not in a health, like, grateful overall. But like, I do feel like, I was just, I was unhealthy. Like, I was just unhealthy with it. But I didn't have resentment. I want to talk more about momming and like the break and how it affected everything, but I do want to get back to the birth. So, because we didn't really talk about like after. What happened after?
Starting point is 00:50:04 Oh, yeah, in the hospital and stuff. Yeah, because there was a whole other, whole other side of this. So, gay birth, he came out, 8.1 pounds, big boy, blonde hair, beautiful, beautiful blonde hair. And I have to tell you like a funny story. Why don't you tell them what you did the day after? Oh, really, straight for the jugular. Well, first of all, let me commend myself. Danny, you had one requirement of me.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Okay, yes. Let's talk about that. Okay. So typically... This is good advice for any other couples. Yes. Typically, I think, you know, you have the baby. and I've had bad attitudes in the post-delivery room.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Okay. Like, I'll admit it. It's probably part of my internet reputation. Like, I, you know, hospitals kind of freak me out. Like, it's, it's tough. Like, um. Do they really freak you out? Yeah, they freak me out a little bit.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Man, I love the hospital. I feel like they take such good care of you. Oh, man. I like the meals that they get you. There's no sunlight, you know. The bed is so comfortable. It reclines. And we deliver at the same hospital.
Starting point is 00:51:24 So, like, I was like, like, Danny sort of started coaching me and she was like, listen. Like, the only thing I need from you post-delivery is to have a good attitude. And to pack your bags. And to bring pillows and blankets. Because I don't want to hear about how uncomfortable you are. Yes. And bring slippers. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Yes. And it really triggers you when I don't take my shoes off. And I don't really understand that one. Because it just makes. you more antsy, which makes me uncomfortable. So I'm like, get comfortable. We're not leaving here. Right. My energy affects your energy. I get it. So anyway, I think I understood the assignment. I think I had a pretty good attitude. I brought two Miki Couture blankets. I brought my two pillows. I was snug as a bug in there. You were. You were. You know, I, right? Yeah, no, you did great. So, you know, the membrane
Starting point is 00:52:18 sweeps. What does this have to do with the membrane sweeps? Well, there was a game on Friday.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Oh, okay. Yes. There was a game on Friday. It was U.T. versus OSU, Ohio State. And
Starting point is 00:52:32 you wanted to watch it. I had tickets. You had granted me permission to go so long
Starting point is 00:52:42 as we weren't in the hospital. We literally delivered the day before the game. two days before the game. No, it was Friday night. Thursday, yes.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Yeah, we delivered Thursday morning. She did a natural birth. And so, like, truly, they were like, yeah, you'll be out in 24 hours. No, we were not. They always say that, but you're not. We were there for, like, two and have days. But I was into the impression that. So anyway, you tell them because I will sound like such a douche.
Starting point is 00:53:11 No, okay. So we delivered, and there was a Texas Ohio State game. I like put it this way like I would have killed to go that game like yeah and Jordan always wanted to go and I always wanted him to go like I was like unless it's the day that we actually deliver like you can go I've always fooled him that that's why he didn't sell his sell his tickets and so yeah like we delivered and and the next day Jordan left the hospital went straight to the Texas Ohio State game with his friends and like went to the football game and then came back and like fell asleep on the hospital. hospital bed next to me. Like hospital bench next to me. People, I'm sure, are like, so like, L.A. came and visit me and she was like, I know. She was like, you let him do that. And she was like, I would have killed Connor. What's so funny. The morning before, the morning of Danny was like, you should go. I really want you to go. And it was like, I think that there was a moment of it. Like, you actually wanted to like be alone with Summit. Like, that had nothing to do with my decision.
Starting point is 00:54:14 I'm going to be honest. Oh. Okay. Well, that's what you told me. I don't. I don't mind. I don't mind. I was trying to make you feel about, I don't mind. Like, I really wasn't like, oh my gosh, she was leaving me. And no, I do look at it as like optimistic. I'm like, yeah, I get to spend some time with something. Like, that's totally fine. I've always, um, it's to me, whether you're or not is like, the nurses take such good care of you. I don't like really need you in the room. Like, anytime I need something, I just click the little button. That's why I love the hospital. It's so nice. And the nurses are so great. They bring you food. And so then I was like, oh, this will be a great time. I'll call Ellie and Ellie will come
Starting point is 00:54:46 So Ellie came and visited me while you were at the football game. It did not bother me whatsoever. And you wouldn't have gone if I told you that you couldn't go. So he told me I could go in the morning. And I called all my friends. And we were like three way calling and texting. And I was like, guys, she's trying to get me to go to the game. Like, I think this is a trap.
Starting point is 00:55:05 And they were like, like, we were all like betting. They were like, yeah, dude, total trap. Like, don't go. Like, this is like, this is fake. Like, don't go. And then like, Devin, who went to Ohio State was like, I can't make this decision. But like, it would be awesome if you came. So I ended up coming and I came back after the game and slept to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:55:21 They lost. Yeah. They lost. It was kind of like. It was kind of sad. But it was like, I can't tell if this is like legendary or just like so like funny. But like I had my hospital band on and then I had like an owner's club band on.
Starting point is 00:55:35 And I was like, this is such a weird. Because my only requirement was he was going to leave me at like four o'clock to go home and shower. And I was like, no, no, no. You can go to the game. but you're going like exactly at 6 p.m. And you're wearing in your sweats. Like you're not leaving me all day to go get ready for the game. I was like,
Starting point is 00:55:53 you can go to the game, but you're not leaving me for the half of the day. You know what's so funny though is there were so many husbands and like nurses in the hospital that were like so pumped for this game. Of course. And yeah, it was just, it was funny.
Starting point is 00:56:06 Yeah. So he did that. And then we had to keep an eye on summit's jaundice levels. So we ended up staying like a whole other day. which like I said, I was like, Jordan got his pillows and his making a tour blanket's like, we're going to go. Yeah. So I do have a funny story though while you were gone. When the lighting in the hospital is a very odd lighting.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Like you said, there's really no natural light. Yeah. And Summit, his hair was like when he came out like white blonde. And the nurses kept making comments. They're like, you know, we've never seen a baby with that shade of white. hair and it be that long because they've seen that color of hair but they said it's typically very short. So they'd never seen like long blonde hair like that on a baby. And I was like, oh yeah, he's just so unique. He's so special. Like, ooh, you know. And then Ellie comes and visits
Starting point is 00:57:00 me. And we're like talking and I look at him and I'm like, you know, his hair's like really actually like kind of like a gray silver. And Ellie's like, yeah, it is really a gray silver. And I go, Ellie, like, does he albino, you think? Like. And like, totally cool. Yeah. But I was like... Very amazing community. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Like, we support. Anyway, so... Solidarity. Okay. Quality. Okay. So I'm like, this is the Albino? I guess something going on.
Starting point is 00:57:35 So I googled. I said newborn with gray silver hair. And they're like, oh, it's like, you know, Google's like AI new feature. It's like, oh, Griseli syndrome. It's called the gray hair syndrome. And I'm like, oh. Like, they show all these pictures of newborns with gray, silver hair. And like, this is my child. I'm like, this is exactly what summit looks like. Like, his hair looks exactly like this.
Starting point is 00:57:57 So, you know, this is like 9.30 at night. And so we start reading through all of the things. And it's like horrible, horrible neurological defects, horrible, like physical defects, like all these really, really bad things. And I'm looking at all the pictures. I'm like, this is exactly what Summit looks like. So I'm like, Ellie, oh my gosh. Like, you know, your stomach just like falls to the floor. And I'm like, Ellie, we have to call the nurse. So like I get my phone that's like connected to the bed. I'm like, ring, ring.
Starting point is 00:58:27 It's like 930. They're like, and so I'm like, hi. Can someone come to my room? I think my baby's hair is not blonde. I think it's silver. And I think he has Griselli syndrome, which is gray hair syndrome. And I think there's a lot of other defects. Can someone come and check and make sure his hair is not blonde.
Starting point is 00:58:50 It's silver. And the nurse is like, oh, you know, we've never heard of that before. Yeah, like, let me send someone over. So they send a nurse over to come look at his hair. I mean, even in this light, it looks silver. Right. Right now. It's all the lighting.
Starting point is 00:59:07 Yeah. Yeah. So this nurse is like, you know, she comes and she's like, you know, it looks long to me, but let me call the doctor. So they call the pediatrician in for me at like 10 o'clock at night. She's like so amazing, Dr. Steele. And she comes in and she's like, hi, mama, listen, there's a lot of hormones raging through your body right now.
Starting point is 00:59:29 And there's a lot of things that we just scare ourselves and we get on Google, your baby has blonde hair. It's all. It would be okay. She goes, this is white hair. This is silver hair. And she's like inspecting. And she's like, look, look.
Starting point is 00:59:42 And I'm like, no, it's still great. Like it's gray hair. Like It was so funny. And it's definitely blonde. But like I literally like me and Ellie were both. Even Ellie was freaking out kind of. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:52 It's like platinum blonde. It's crazy. Yeah. So he doesn't have great hair syndrome as a baby. It's blonde. That is so funny. Yeah. So.
Starting point is 01:00:02 But yeah, ever since like the hospital, he's been such a good, good baby. Yeah, he's easy. He's, I mean,
Starting point is 01:00:08 as if now, you know. I feel like it always gets a little bit harder. How do you think the kids are taking? to them. So I heard a really great piece of advice and it was like always when you get home from the hospital with your newborn, like take care of the oldest first. Like put more attention on them before the newborn because they're going to remember and like Summets not, you know. So I feel like we've done a really good job at making sure that Stella and Stratton like are taking care of.
Starting point is 01:00:37 We're still getting our one-on-one time with them. Stella has been amazing. She's like a little mommy. She loves Summit so much. She kind of like, it's like, she thinks of him as like a little baby doll. Like she just wants to take him everywhere, hold him all the time. She's been amazing with me. I take a bunch of like, you know, my prenatal vitamins and all this stuff. Like right when I wake up after like pumping all through the night or feeding all through the night.
Starting point is 01:01:00 And she knows like first thing I need food. So she'll be like, mom, don't worry. You stay right there. I got you. And she'll bring me like the whole box of Cheerios. She's like, here you go, mommy. You eat your food. I got you.
Starting point is 01:01:11 like don't worry oh you need a passie mommy i got it and she'll run she loves to be helping um strand's a little jealous he climbs in my arms and wants to be held like a baby and says he says cuckoo cucka he gets in my i mean he goes cuckoo cucka mommy and it's like so sweet um but he loves summit too he's a little bit rougher with him he doesn't really understand i'm like don't poke him in the eye when you were gone the other day he really wanted to hold the baby and I held him And he
Starting point is 01:01:41 I wish I like filmed it And shot and hold him Yeah But I was like holding Summitt's head And he was just like Holding his arms
Starting point is 01:01:47 And I wish I would have filmed it Because it's so hard to like impersonate like what he did But he just kept like whisper And he goes It's okay baby And was like rubbing his head And it's okay baby
Starting point is 01:01:59 He goes He goes Go go go go He makes those old noises He's like Yeah So he's I think he's like
Starting point is 01:02:05 Very nurturing In his own way too Yeah No, Stratton is our, he is so sweet and sensitive, like, in a good way. Is that a middle child quality? Yeah. Is it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:16 I mean. I think middle children are like the mediators, right? Y'all Stratton, like, all Stratton asks, like, he probably asked Stella this 10 times a day. Stella, you happy? Stella, you happy? Hey, Stella, and like, Stella will, like, be in the other room and stub her toe. And still will be like, ow, ow. ow and straten will run to the room like stella you happy and she's like no she's like no i stanton
Starting point is 01:02:44 leave me alone and he goes fella you happy now are you happy now it's so cute we're gonna have to teach him emotionally to hey tend to your tend to your needs too so i've been asking we don't want to raise a little codependent yeah yeah so i've been like asking stratton i'm like straten are you happy how are your feelings yeah no what are you thinking truly though We should watch out for that. His name is Summit. It's funny. What was the ocean?
Starting point is 01:03:13 What was that? You were like so serious, too. It was like Ocean Drive Ramirez or something like that. It was not Ocean Drive Ramirez. What was it? It was Ocean Austin Ramirez. Yeah. Like, she was so serious and I was like,
Starting point is 01:03:29 I was like, that sounds like a Bond villain. Oh my God. Don't be rude. Some people may be named their son, Ocean. I've never met someone in Ocean. Well, it's kind of cool if you think about it. If you're like a Kardashian. Yeah, that's like so like L.A. celebrity.
Starting point is 01:03:45 I think somebody named their son Ocean. Lala Kent. See? Somebody did it. I was shocked by that one. We had a really good thing going at these ST names. And then you were like Ocean Austin Ramirez. You know what funny?
Starting point is 01:03:57 I didn't really want an ST name. And everybody was like, what STNAM are you going to do? I'm like, I didn't really want to do that. I wanted to do Stetson. So bad. I know. we thought about Stetson. So I'm going to be honest.
Starting point is 01:04:09 I thought it was going to be a girl and I wanted to name her Summit. Like I wanted a girl summit. That was my plan. But then I always knew I like the name Summit for a boy as well. And so, but like I was so convinced it was a girl. Like there was no world where I pictured it being a boy. I'm so happy it's a boy because I think that that makes so much more sense with the dynamics of our family. Straten needs a brother so badly.
Starting point is 01:04:35 And boys are so sweet. Like, it's just... It's perfect. It's literally perfect. It's what I thought was so good is like Stella being the older sister to two brothers and Stratton and having a brother. That's what I was like. I'm literally so, like, so happy. But I just, because of my symptoms, I thought it was a girl.
Starting point is 01:04:57 And so, yeah, I always knew I wanted the name to use the name summit. I had some other options. I'm not going to tell you all because if we do have a fourth child, which. I don't think we'll survive. Our children will thrive. And I love the idea of having four children. I know. But oh my gosh, I don't.
Starting point is 01:05:15 I know. It could be way down the road. It doesn't have to do anytime soon. You say this every time. And then like one year later, you're like, come on, we're in such a good place. Like, let's just totally do this. And I'm like, I'm like, you're right. It's like only nine months.
Starting point is 01:05:27 And then I'm like. You're like never again. Yeah. So Summit West is his name. I, we literally didn't have a middle name in the hospital. So like the whole two or three days we were there, we were like just Googling middle names. It was either Summit Blake, Summit West, or Summit. Summit Blake was cool.
Starting point is 01:05:49 Summit Blake. I mean, we could always change it. Summit, like, it is kind of funny. I feel like Chachy BT really did define our son's middle name. Yeah, no, for sure. We had one other name. We were like. Summit gray.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Summit gray. And then basically I just put on a poll to all my best friends. Summit Blake is so much stronger to me. Summit West is like... West Summit. It's like a ski resort. It just feels it honestly feels like a like a colonel in the military. Summit West.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Yeah. Summit West Ramirez. Summit Blake Ramirez. Should we change it? I hear it's hard. Who's that a... I don't know. This may not make sense, but who's that guy that Taylor Swift dated?
Starting point is 01:06:34 Joe Alwyn. Joe Alwyn. Joe Allen. Summit Blake kind of feels like the same vibe as like Joe Allen. What? Like just kind of like. Somit Blake? Posh London.
Starting point is 01:06:45 No, see, Summit Blake to me sounds like so rigid. Rigent? Yeah, like Summit Blake, pointing for two dessert. Yeah, it's funny. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:06:55 We'll go to Summit West. Subit West is kind of giving Kardashian. I guess. Oh, I get. I get it. Northwest. Yeah. It's funny how we all associate things.
Starting point is 01:07:04 With the Cardassians. No, just like in our brains like, I went Joe Allen, you went Kardashians. Yeah. You know, we have some good guests that want to come on. We do? Yeah. Who? J.P. Pekluda.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Oh, he wants to come on or did you invite him? Well, he ran a new book. He wants to come come on it. He has such great advice. No, we already kind of scripted the whole interview. We're going to talk about. He has such good advice. What's that? Who's that group that we met?
Starting point is 01:07:31 The Freemasons. Oh, gosh. No, we need to ask him about more like, actual like lifestyle advice. Or revelation. Yeah, but I think like he actually has great, like he has great insight on how to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Do you have a new president?
Starting point is 01:07:50 We have to talk about it, but like we do. We do? Yeah, we have a new president. I know. I'm kidding. Oh. That's crazy. No, no.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Because you see all the, I just like looking at everybody's outfits at the inauguration. Like there are some cute outfits there. It seemed like good vibes Like fun At the inauguration No My Billy Ray Cyrus though Did he
Starting point is 01:08:12 Wait what happened with his singing Was it just off? Yeah was it off with the television Or like did he just like Maybe it was just off Like maybe it was Yeah But I think Carrie Underwood crushed it
Starting point is 01:08:24 Yeah She was like I don't need music And then she like Made people cry Is that? Yeah She's so talented Yeah
Starting point is 01:08:31 Yeah So we have a new president. Oh, TikTok was banned for 12 hours, 24 hours. That was weird. Yeah. Such a stunt. Were you relieved to say by TikTok? Well, Divi's pretty big on TikTok shop.
Starting point is 01:08:49 So I was kind of like, ah, bummer. And I was like so bullish on it. I was like, I pushed that. I was like, we need to be big on TikTok shop. And so that would have been funny if it got banned. But yeah, we're back. Yeah, we're back. I mean, we've been kind of like.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Like, when I came back, like, I feel like, okay, this is actually funny. So it's funny. Like, I have this, like, different, um, hmm, relationship with TikTok right now. Because some of the videos I've posted on Instagram get, like, so much hate. But then I'll post them on TikTok. And people are like, you're amazing. You go. You're a girl boss.
Starting point is 01:09:31 Like, people have actually been, like, nicer. over there. Yeah, but here's the thing. When TikTok turns on you, bro, you don't recover from that. Because then you get in that algorithm with the talking heads and they will, they will destroy. I know. Or they will come at you until you have no breath left. Yeah. The talking head videos about me, like, they come up on my, um, my like page sometimes. I haven't been watching them, but it's like, where has Danny Austin been? Where? Here's my theory. And, like I'm like scroll like I can't um but it is funny how like that stuff doesn't happen on Instagram yeah you know that type of yeah the algorithm is so different but Instagram wants you
Starting point is 01:10:16 to create that type of content yeah but like we don't because then we post stuff and they're like it's like people are so mean so it's like I I still think TikTok per capita as meaner than Instagram I don't yeah I don't know they're they're just like a little bit more like accepting right now, at least for me. Right now, yeah. Like, they get my humor. Like, I feel like they get humor and they don't take things so personally. Instagram is like Karen after Karen after Karen.
Starting point is 01:10:45 Like, they just like are so offended by everything. Like, all the Instagram users are getting older. We're getting into our Karen and Keith phases. Yeah. I mean, not everyone. It's just so funny. No, I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 01:10:58 This is what happened to Facebook. Yeah. Got all those boomers on there. And they are. just angry. They were so angry. They were looking for a fight. So yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:10 That's about it. Cool. That's my life. So that's my life. Well, thank you guys for listening to this episode. Feel free to check us out on Instagram and TikTok at Deimplluence Podcast. We love you guys and we'll see you next week. Bye.
