Starting point is 00:00:07 The following podcast is a dear media production. Hello, and welcome back to your favorite podcast, D-influenced. And I'm back. Did you miss me? I did. I had a great conversation with JP. People loved that episode. Did they?
Starting point is 00:00:25 They loved it. Really? Are you just saying that? No, they really did. I got so many DMs about it. How are the views? Higher than average? On average?
Starting point is 00:00:35 I'll take it. Yeah. Take it. For a solo episode. I do want to know in the comments if people liked Jordan's solo episodes or did you wish I was there? Did you miss me? It was, it seemed like, it seemed like, it seemed like it's 50, 50. People were like, oh, Danny wasn't here.
Starting point is 00:00:51 I'm out. And then it was like 50%. I know. It's so hard. Just people don't like change. I mean, they don't like change. Just look at Remy Bader. Like, people don't like that.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Wait, what happened to Remy Bader? She, like, people are being so mean to her because she lost all this way. because she just admitted that she had a surgery to lose weight. And people were like, you were the face of the body positivity movement. And she was like, no, I wasn't.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Like, I was just struggling with my weight. And you guys viewed me that. But anyway, she's lost this ton of weight now. And she is like, I mean, she looks great.
Starting point is 00:01:26 And I think she's feeling really good. And she's feeling really good about herself. But people are angry because she's changed. People don't like change. And I get it. I get it. There's 50% of the audience. that are like, I miss the old Danny.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Oh, I miss your old hair. Like this curly hair, it's like really just not attractive. And people are like, you just like really lost your light and your splunk. And then there are other people that are like, oh my God. Who say that? You, I just like love following you now. You're just so much more real and different or authentic. And I'm like, I don't, I feel like I always was this way.
Starting point is 00:01:59 Do you know what I say? Yeah, just give them the ring finger. Just give them the ring finger. And you just say, listen. I am who I am. No, but I'm not going to live in your box. No, it's okay. You don't have to get angry about it.
Starting point is 00:02:12 The thing is, it's just like people change, you know, and it's evolved. It's just, and thank goodness, you know. I mean, honestly probably should have changed like seven years ago. Like, I was due for a little transformation. You know, I, I'm loving the new era of Danny Austin. She's happy. She's content. She's got curly hair.
Starting point is 00:02:31 She's glowing. It's been great not having to do my hair. No, it's amazing. The amount of time I have received back in my day because of the hair. She's a present selfless mom. I mean, she's. I just feel like I was always all these things. No, you for sure were.
Starting point is 00:02:49 But like, I mean, when you put your mind to something, wow. Yeah, it's an identity shift. Yeah, for sure. Speaking of identity shifts, I just got a call from a, our financial controller at Divi. Uh-oh. Who's been with us for years. And she also has three kids. She just had her third kid.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Is she wanting to move on? Yeah. Yeah, mom. She was like, I am wanting to move on. And I was like, I didn't take it. It's so sad because I love her. And she loves us. But she was like, you could tell she was like really choked up.
Starting point is 00:03:20 But I was so sensitive and empathetic because I've watched you go through the same identity crisis. And I was like, oh, like, it's okay. We've had a couple people on our debut team have babies and then be like, can I work part time? Or can I do this? And I feel like we're usually like, yeah, like we get it. It's hard. But, you know, keep leaning in, you know, as what's her name, Cheryl Sandberg? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Lean in. Lean in. You know, it has been really crazy this postpart of. So far it's been really great. But there is one thing that I realize that men just, you'll never, you don't ever understand and you always forget. What is one thing that a man always forgets? Every month. Oh, your period. Yes. And it's like so funny because it happens every month. Like it's not like, oh my gosh, like what's happening? It's like, no, it happens every three to four
Starting point is 00:04:24 weeks. And I had my first. And you know, I'm actually not one to talk about like things like this publicly. I'm like, I'm not like going to talk about bodily functions a lot of times. Totally. Like, I just don't really feel like it's totally necessary. But I am going to talk about this first period back after you have a baby. I truly, I'm not kidding you, I thought I was hemorrhaging. I almost thought I needed to call 911. Like I, it was so intense because that happens post-burtum people. My mom actually, that happened to her after she had me. She started running before like the doctor approved her to. And she hemorrhaged. And she had to go to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:05:00 hospital. And Jordan's getting a little crazy. Sorry. It's just like the visuals are tough. And like, so that happened to me. And I'm only, I think I'd happen when I was only 10 or 11 weeks postpartum, which feels very early for me. And so, because I think, I think with Stella, I was like six months postpartum. Yeah. Anyway, it's like, Jordan's like, you're acting crazy. Like you're not And I'm like, what do you think is happening right now? No, guys, let me tell you though. She was acting so crazy. It was unsustainable to be in this home.
Starting point is 00:05:41 It's like, she's acting real crazy. Dorden thinks it's spiritual warfare. I think it's just my period. No, I, guys, Danny, don't joke about this. We talked about it. I'm telling you, there's been a lot of things that have happened. It is straight up spiritual warfare. I literally am like, no, it's my period.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Do not deny this. It is straight up. It can be both. Therapy. Talk. What is it called? D-B-T. Dialectical thought, a dialect.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Both can be true. Two things can be true at once. Fine. It could be a period and a demon at the same time. Don't you let that demon convince you. It's just your demon. We need to deal with that demon. If you're referring to just the anger I had, though, period.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Now, if you're referring to the people that, trying to break into our house. Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying. Like, like, literally, I don't think I told you this yet, but I got in the car this morning to go to the gym and someone, the seat was flipped up or, like, reclined. All of the, the dash drawers were open. Our papers were everywhere. Like, someone.
Starting point is 00:06:49 It's so funny because we don't keep anything nice in our cars. Yeah. Gotcha. Well, it was very clear. He, like, he had thrown, like, Stella's sunglasses, like, on the ground or he or she and was just, like, pissed about it probably. But, yeah, no, our car got ruffled, like some demon broke into our car. But did you not lock the car?
Starting point is 00:07:10 No, that's that we're not, listen, that's like you minimizing. I'm not minimizing. I'm just saying, did you lock the car? No, I didn't, okay? I didn't lock the car. It was open. There was no forced entry. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:07:23 What's happened to this world where we can't even, we have to lock our doors these days? We have to walk our cars these days. Oh my gosh. I mean, tell me that's not spiritual warfare right there. Jordan was out of town last week and I didn't even tell people. Like, because I was like scared because I didn't want people to know I was home alone. I'm like, gotcha. Gotcha burglars.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Well, and we've, I mean, we've fortified this place. This place is basically Fort Knox. That's so true. So if you ever come around here and expect to walk out. Well, you're going to have to meet our bodyguard first. Oh, yeah. Chachu is what we go home. What's that mean?
Starting point is 00:08:00 Is it Spanish? I was thinking of muchacha, muchacho. Oh, muchacho, yes. But, yeah, so somebody, we had two men and, like, like,
Starting point is 00:08:09 we have pictures and video of them. They're just really not very smart, but they tried to break into our house last week, and it was like this whole thing. Yeah, no, this is real talk. Like, we were at Theo Vaughn, and I got a text from the babysitter, and she was like,
Starting point is 00:08:22 hey, are you expecting someone? And then I opened up the cameras, and there were, like, two guys that wouldn't leave. they had been there for like 20 minutes and they kept saying that there's a thing they were here last Saturday and they were disguising themselves as pest control and told our our babysitter that they were there for an 830 p.m. Saturday night appointment to spare home. And here's the thing. They had their car running. They never turned their car off. So the car was still running
Starting point is 00:08:50 outside of our house. We have cameras everywhere too. So I'm like, I don't know like what these guys were thinking. They were younger. Like, in their younger 20s and they had no like gear on. They had no gear that they were holding. They just both had iPads and left the car running, which is so sketchy. Like you leave a, it's a, it's a, it's a runaway car. Like, so you can steal something. I don't know. They, they also had fake badges and they kept, it was 830 at night on a Saturday and they kept saying, we have an appointment, let us in. Like with the owner. And so I was on one phone with our babysitter. And then Danny called 9-1-1-1-1. one on our other phone. And trick of the trade is if something like that is urgent,
Starting point is 00:09:33 you need to say that you believe that they're armed because we had, and DPD love all of our service members, but like it's understaffed, so it's not super reliable. And we had eight cops in like bulletproof vests in our yard in two minutes. I'm not saying this like, like, I really think they could have been armed. Like, I don't even think that that was the way to get the bout, just saying. Well, no, if you ever have a suspicion, you should just clarify, we believe that they're if you're really, like, because otherwise, yeah, you're right. They won't come.
Starting point is 00:10:10 But, like, these men, I don't understand. They had to have a weapon. Like, you know what I mean? Like, how else are they going to get? So anyway, but yes, I agree with you. So I love our Dallas Police Department. In fact, every time I see them out and about, I go say hello. Or try to buy their chip full.
Starting point is 00:10:27 But, yeah, so very appreciative to them. But we also have pictures and videos of these guys. Like, I was like, where do I post this stuff? I was like, I'm not going to post it on my Instagram. That feels weird. It's like the only time I've wished I was on the next door out. I know. So I send them to all of our neighbors.
Starting point is 00:10:43 And I was like, can y'all post these on the next door app? I don't get on the next door app because it is honestly my biggest fear in life. Like to have my neighbors mad at me. Yeah, yeah. I'd rather just like not know. Internet hate is like one thing, but local hate. Oh, it burns. It's like, oh, man, that one hurts.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Yeah, it's like when you, like, write a Gelp review for, like, the local coffee shop or something. Like, it's not a good. It hurts so much more. And so I stay off of that next door up. It's my, I'm so scared of that social media platform. But I do think it serves a great purpose. Remember one time Lola got out and it's funny posted on there? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:21 It was amazing. So it really is, like, amazing. But, yeah. So, so. So post-mortem. On the period, you're saying what exactly, that all was normal? No, I'm not saying all was normal. I'm just saying when it comes to the emotional side of what I was dealing with, like, like anger that I couldn't let go of.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Yeah. I do think that is hormonal. Yeah. No, just in general. But 80% heard. Okay. Whatever. Yeah, it was hormonal.
Starting point is 00:11:55 And you're, yeah, like there's a lot. play here. I get it. There's a lot at play. There is postpartum. There is, I'm slightly, you know, like the weaning up of the breastfeeding, like all of that. I have noticed like my hair is falling out a little bit. We have a solution for that. Yeah, I know. But it is like, it's postpartum, like hormones. For sure. And I am, once I'm like not totally done breastfeeding, I'm going to get back on my hair vitamins. But yeah, I mean, it's still looking great. But you know, it just, it just happens. It happens. That all being said, I feel like your postpartum depression is not really there.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Yeah. I mean, right? Yeah, you're not like sad. No. I mean, sleep. Depression isn't always sad, though. You're not just like,
Starting point is 00:12:42 it's like people who like think that when you're depressed, you're just sad all the time. You're more just like, what's my purpose? For sure. You're more just like, what am I doing? What am I doing in life?
Starting point is 00:12:55 For sure. Yeah. You know, I was thinking about when, you know, you were on your period and I just was so scared of every moment of my life here. I was thinking about how much we've done in the past like four years. And it's really like it's. It's really too much. It's too much. It really is.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Like it's on, it's inhumane. And it worked for so long until it just didn't anymore. Yeah. And it was something about that third pregnancy slash summit come in that I'm just like, man, that formula. Man, let me tell you something. That baby is amazing. That's a great baby. He is just.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Everything we've done has been a huge blessing. I'm not discounting it. No, I'm not even. Do you think people can see my legs on this camera? Because I'm really self-conscious about wearing these shorts. Babe, I have to tell you, like, your legs have been looking amazing. No, Danny. It's one of my favorite things about you for your legs.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Thank you. First of all, that... Because you've always had skinny legs. I know. I skipped a lot of leg days in my day. It was always... I don't think you had a leg day in your day. No, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:14:06 It was always hard for me when we would sit next to each other and like, you know, like, my thigh was like bigger than your thigh. Like, it's fine. But like, that's always like a weird thing, you know? Totally. And it's okay. Like a lot of girls' size are bigger than the guy's size. But, yeah, I'm grateful that yours are a little bit bigger than mine now.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Yeah. No, I appreciate that. And they look very tone. You have just the right amount of hair on your legs. Like some guys, way too much, too long, too curly. This is really funny because my dad came over last night and he was like, what supplement, if anything, should I add to my routine? And I was like, hands down magnesium. Starting point is 00:17:15 Yeah, would it, how would you feel if I was like, like had a bunch of hair? Like a hairy man? Yeah, like a hairy man. Yeah, you know, I've always been down for the, for the brown hair. Really? Yeah. So like if I was like like back, shoulders, chest? The back hair would be kind of like a little hard.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Like what if you had to shave my back? Like would that, would that ruin all intimacy in our marriage? No, no, no. I don't mind it. Really? Yeah, that's not one of those things. You know what? Like hair is not one of those things that like I'm here nor there for.
Starting point is 00:17:51 I'm just like, I could do, I could go either way. Like, if you had a full-blown beard, I always think I was attracted to less hairy men, men though. Yeah. You know, like when I look back at the type of, like Leonardo DiCaprio, like the clean cut titanic version, that's kind of like was my vibe. Like Brad Pitt, clean, like in when he was in that, what's that movie where he, he's an angel?
Starting point is 00:18:17 Oh, the talent in Mr. Ripley? No. Oh. Um, my gosh. We watched it the other day where he's, uh, he's the angel of death. Yeah, the talented Mr. Ripley. Yeah. Meet Joe Black.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Meet Joe Black. Yes. Okay. Joe Block. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Like, so that clean cut. Totally.
Starting point is 00:18:40 So you're actually very much like my type. But if you, if I had to shave her back, like, it wouldn't, it wouldn't bother me. Now, let me tell you what would bother me. Okay. It's good. if you don't floss your teeth. Well, that's hard on me because I never do that. I know.
Starting point is 00:18:57 And you think about this frequently, don't you? No, teeth hygiene to me is the master of all hygiene. It is something, it's like it disgust me. Like, it's so gross to me when people don't floss their teeth. I don't even really mind like the feet, the hair, the nothing. The teeth, though, like the plaque that sits on your teeth feet. because you don't floss, that that really gets me. Really? Wow. Okay. Well, for the betterment of my marriage.
Starting point is 00:19:26 I still love you, though. Yeah, I mean, honestly, I get a clean report every time I go to the dentist, though. Yeah, you get no cavities, but you don't get a clean report. Oh, I seriously. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's also good for heart health, too. Yeah, you know, they say that, but I don't know if it's actually good for your heart health. Like, I don't know if it does something in the gums that, like, releases something that helps, like, like your cardiovascular system. But I think that it's just that people that floss or teeth typically live longer.
Starting point is 00:19:58 But that's because I think that people that flosser teeth typically take care of themselves, therefore they live longer. Because if they're flossing their teeth, they're probably taking vitamins too. Like they're just that type of person. Yeah. So that's what I think the correlation is. But I'm no scientist. Well, speaking of science, Danny and I tried nicotine for the first time.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Yeah, we did. Which, listen, that doesn't mean that we, like, put in dip or... I have done that before, though. Yuck. That's... Well, you gotta try everything one, you know? But, I mean, I don't think in my entire life I've met a female that dips. I don't dip.
Starting point is 00:20:34 I dipped once. I know, but, like, female... I liked it a little bit. I liked it. I was on the way to... I was on, I was a, it was a road trip. I was on the way... We were driving in Colorado.
Starting point is 00:20:47 It was like a 16-hour drive. Oh man, that's not. What if you got sick? And the guys were dipping in the backseat. And I said, give me some of it. And I just put it right here. And I put it out in a bottle, water bottle.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Do you meet a boyfriend on that trip? Because that might have, that might have ruined a lot of your shot. It was like my guy buddies, like my friends. Yeah, yeah. No, it was, I wouldn't do it again because I do think it's gross. But I could get, I get why people like it. Yeah. So, so dip has tobacco.
Starting point is 00:21:18 nicotine, right? Yep. And so what there seems to be like a Gary Breka health movement for is just nicotine, right? Yeah. Will you tell me about it. You know the science by what I do. I looked it up because it's a little confusing, but the biggest thing that I know that nicotine has been-
Starting point is 00:21:38 It's like all the crunchy moms are now behind nicotine. Honestly, I think that this-this-negatine movement is even like a little before the crunchy moms. Like I think you have to be like ultra-com. crunchy to know about this because I don't even think the crudgy moms know about this, but like I'm sure that they catch out. You know, it always comes in waves. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:56 And so the nicotine movement, the thing is it has to be used like chronically. Like you have to use it consistently in order for it to have benefits. But the biggest things that I've been reading about with nicotine is it helps prevent Alzheimer's and like dementia and Parkinson's, which I thought was really interesting. So then I'm like, okay, it's like. like do nicotine every day to prevent all the time. I don't know. Yeah. Um, but I was reading about it. And this was the study because there are some studies on it. Of course, tobacco is what's bad. So if you can just get nicotine in a patch or, um, a piece of gum, like we chewed a nicotine gum that the brand's
Starting point is 00:22:43 called Lucy and it was actually really good as like pomegranate flavor. And the way you do it is you chew it 10 times and then you stick it in between your cheek and your teeth and you let it sit there. And you let it sit there for maybe five minutes. And then you do it again. So it's kind of like, yeah, it's kind of like a little fun activity for your mouth. It's weird.
Starting point is 00:23:00 I kind of like felt like I was doing drugs. But like it's like over the counter gum. I know, but. Like it kind of felt like and also like your aunt gave it to us. So I was like, there's kind of like your mom gave me that gummy that one time. So it's like, there's a family of a pattern here.
Starting point is 00:23:17 But. Yeah, it was, it made me feel, at first, I was like, I don't feel anything. And then I felt it. First of all, it made my throat really itchy. Like, it felt like there was just a bunch of pepper in my throat. Yeah. You know, so I didn't like that. And then I felt really dizzy. Did you feel dizzy? I felt like a brain fog. Like, I felt very disoriented and like I couldn't get my thought straight, which is weird because the guy there was saying that it helped him focus. And it did the opposite. me and it kind of made my stomach. It's kind of like smoking a cigar. It's like... It made me lose my appetite immediately. I think it does do that though. Immediately I was like, because I was really hungry when we got there, we were going to do
Starting point is 00:23:59 a smash burgers. Oh yeah. I still ate like two burgers, but... No, I mean, because as soon as I threw it out, threw it out, I feel like within 10 minutes, I felt back to normal. Okay. But like the, you know, for about five minutes, I was like, and I didn't, I didn't like it.
Starting point is 00:24:13 But so nicotine fairly specifically binds to the... coli-nogeric, cholinergeric, whatever, nicotinic gating site on cationic ion channels and receptors throughout the body. This action stimulates the release of a variety of neurotransmitters, including especially catecholamines and serotonin. When chronically taken, nicotine may result in positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, reduction of body weight, enhancement of performance, and protection against Parkinson's, Tourette's, Alzheimer's, ulcerative colitis, and sleep apnea.
Starting point is 00:24:51 So, I mean, I don't know. It's like what it seems like you had to do it every day. I don't know. I don't know if I'll be chewing the nicotine gum every day. I honestly, I think I would stick to coffee because I think it's like kind of the same sort of buzz effect and I'd stick to coffee. But coffee doesn't probably prevent like Parkinson's. Aren't there like four years ago, weren't there like all these studies on coffee and it's
Starting point is 00:25:12 Preventative stuff every five years they sell you eggs are bad and then they're good and they're bad again and so it's like It's like what is the truth even I know the one thing I will say is I would love to get some chickens Oh yeah I would love to have our own chicken coop They weren't as stinky as I thought they were gonna be There was like chicken poop everywhere That's true, that's true you gotta live on like a couple acres for that for sure yeah, but yeah, it was It's funny because my aunt gave us like a bag of like real eggs. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Not that our eggs aren't real, but like these are eggs that just real chickens laid. She's got her own supply chain. Stella was like, can I hold them? And she put them a Ziplog bag and still use the Ziplog bag as a pillow on the way home. So funny. They were all swished. Speaking of Stella, Stella has a boyfriend. Don't talk about our child's love life online.
Starting point is 00:26:13 It was in the script. Wasn't it? She does not have a boyfriend. She's four. She's four. Yeah. But like she said it was my boyfriend. No.
Starting point is 00:26:30 She's just, she's just being silly. Yeah, no, for sure. Like, yeah. Listen, I'm just as upset as you are about this. But it's a reality that one day we're going to have to face. But here's a thing.
Starting point is 00:26:43 Her boyfriend's. doesn't know that he's her boyfriend. What are you afraid he's going to listen to this podcast? He's five. I'm just saying that she doesn't, they don't even know what that means. Yeah, no, I know they don't know what it means. And that's why we need to nip this in the bud right now. No, it's so cute.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Okay, I'm so confused. Like, do you want it or do you not want it? I don't. It's so cute. Just let it be what it is. Really? Is that the answer? I feel like, see, I feel like we need to sit down and talk to her and be like, listen.
Starting point is 00:27:12 No, we don't want to. No, I don't, I don't want to scare my child away from love. Okay. Yeah. Is there a book on this? Like, is there a book at like how to play like relationship dynamics with four or five years? Here's the thing about, let me tell you about me as a four year old. I know.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I had the boys on deck. Okay. I had four boyfriends at any given time when I was four. Okay. I met a boy immediately. He became my husband. Danny, she's talking about her childhood friend who was gay. He wasn't whenever we were friends, though, babe.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Sure. Okay. I don't know. I mean, that's a whole debate. But I'm saying, like, you based it all off of that. Your whole childhood is based off of this really intimate, special relationship with, I'm not going to say his name, with you know who. And he was gay. Yeah, but we loved each other.
Starting point is 00:28:10 And or maybe, okay, now that I think about it, wow, I'm just thinking about this. This is how Danny's childhood trauma always comes up. I think that I think he was my boyfriend, but I don't think I was his girlfriend. That's hard to probably process for you right now. Oh my gosh. Because that's true because, yeah, you weren't. That wasn't a thing for him. No.
Starting point is 00:28:37 I'm just saying like I don't think I ever, like, I don't think I ever, like, I don't. I don't think I ever, we never had that moment where we, like, DTR. Like, I was just like, he's my boyfriend, you know, and I went around and told everybody. But, like, he probably wasn't like, that's my girlfriend. No, I know. I understand. So, I'm just saying I'm Stella. Yeah, no, for sure.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Because Stella, let me tell you. She's a stage five cleaner. She's a stage five cleaner. She for sure is. Like, we were at Down to Play and there was like a kid in her class there. And her kid in her class literally was like, hey, I need space. No, I know. And I was like, no, but she's a great friend.
Starting point is 00:29:12 And she's just, she's doing so well socially. And no, for sure. Yeah, no. She's great. Yeah. But she's her mother. And she's like, I just realized that I, so I didn't just have him, his name is Alex. Because you had a Clayton.
Starting point is 00:29:28 You never heard about Clayton. I've heard about them all. So Clayton was also. No, babe, that was like in high school. I'm talking about when I was four. Oh, okay. I'm talking about all my boyfriend's when I was four. Clayton was a big one.
Starting point is 00:29:41 Yeah. And then in sixth grade, I think I had like seven boyfriends all at once. Whoa. Yeah. And they all started with A. But let me ask, did they know? Yeah, it's sixth grade. So they all asked for you to be their girlfriend or you just said, hey, you're my boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Oh, no. They would call my, like our landline. Were you aware at the time? Alex Fox asked me in a voicemail to my parents. It's awesome. In sixth grade? Yeah. Sixth grade was like, sixth grade and like junior year were kind of like the highlights of my life.
Starting point is 00:30:17 It's like when boys liked me. But every other year, I know what it's like. Interesting. What was significant about those two years? I don't know. Maybe those were the two years I didn't have braces. Oh. Yeah, that's probably what it was.

We did the service called cuvay so it was like if we rented this one house they gave us like a free what is it called chef chef butler butler sorry I thought that wasn't trying to be like what is that called but like we they so what happened was they the house that we rented like somebody canceled us
Starting point is 00:32:55 and it backed out and so then they were like oh if you rent this house we'll get we'll add this service on we're like absolutely let's do it and so we like literally had somebody just like cooking for us and It was the best thing ever because we were right on the beach in Cabo, never had to leave the house unless we just took the golf cart down the beach. Probably my favorite trip to probably ever. It was a service called QA. We did it for my 30th. And then we did it for this trip too. We kind of splurge. We're going all out. It's crazy. Yeah. We just wanted to invite friends. Yeah. We want to spend time with our friends. Yeah. It's great. And kids are kids age, which was a game changer. Because all of our all of our core group of friends, they have younger kids than we do. Well, I guess. Now with Summit, kind of, but like, you know, it was very huge unlock. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Having kids, your kids age, especially post three. So great. So great. But you know, so we did go to Theo Vaughn and I bought these tickets because Danny is like a diehard, Theo Vaughan fan. I don't say diehard. I just listen to him every day. But she listens to him. You always say I listen to him because he's relatable.
Starting point is 00:34:03 He's so relatable and he's so relatable. and he's so funny. What do you find relatable about Ciavan? He doesn't try to be something that he's not. Yeah. And like he interviewed Candace Owens and like, you know, Candice. Yeah. Candice is Candice.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Like you better watch out. And she's just like going off on like all this information about JFK and and you know, back in the 1960s and Israel and all these things. And like she'll stop her rant and he'll. like, wow, he'll go, I don't know if I'm ever going to work again. I should probably fact check that. Yeah, I'll probably forget to do it. Anyway, like, and he'll be like, but Candice, this is what I really want to know.
Starting point is 00:34:47 What is your McDonald's order? And I'm like, he's like, this is what the people really want to know. He's just so funny. And he's like, but then he's, he is smart and he tries to keep up. Like he asks a lot of questions and then Candace will say something and he'll be like, I don't know about that Candace. And she'll be like, fact check it. And then he'll be like, okay, let's fact check it. Like he just, yeah. He doesn't try to be something that he's not. He is the only comedian that I think there's like three comedians that when they go on Joe Rogan, they have Joe Rogan like dying laughing and he is one of
Starting point is 00:35:22 them. He's, he's quick. He's so quick. So Danny's obsessed with him. So I got tickets for us and a couple of our other friends and we caravanned up to Choctaw Casino and saw him. And the big debate that I had was, is he going to be funny on standup? Because everyone watches him for his podcast clips, but I've never seen any of his standup. Did you think his standup was? So funny. It was gold. It was almost better than his podcast stuff. You thought you were like, I don't think he's funny in his podcast. I think he is. Well, I only see the clips. And the clips are usually always funny. But then you were watching it long form. and it just like with the spacing it wasn't as it wasn't the same. I love it. I love his podcast. Yeah. He, uh, his stand up might have been like top three my favorite.
Starting point is 00:36:10 He definitely had some pretty, uh, oh yeah. He was crass for sure. No, not crass. He just, he was pushing boundaries for some of his jokes. For sure. I could see how some people could get offended. But I feel like we're kind of over that where we're able to just kind of laugh at ourselves. They just be like, we're all just messed up. You know, the world's just, it is what it is. There was this incident. I don't even know this is going to be like funny, but there was this where a lady, I think, I think she drank too much and she like passed out in in the crowd. And he saw what was going on and he stopped the entire show. And then he went up and he was just like, he was like, oh, what's going on here? And like, you could tell all of her friends were like,
Starting point is 00:36:51 no, no, no, no, because I think she drank too much. And he was like, oh, okay, we'll be quiet. we'll wait. And then he just stared at her for like 15 seconds and the whole auditorium was quiet. And then he was like, oh, oh, am I sorry I'm being rude. And they started escorting her out. And he goes, oh, can't handle that smoke in here. He goes, bye, Janet. She's basically on a stretcher. He's like, bye, Janet. It's like, oh my gosh, I was dying laughing. It was funny because she was okay. She was okay. Yeah, she's okay. No, he was, he was a goofy man.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Like, we, we had a good time. That was over in Durant, Oklahoma. Do you think I'm funny like that? Yeah, for sure. No, like, do you think I'm funny? I think you're very witty and, and you have good, funny, quick jokes, but Theo's, like, goofy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's so funny because I think outside, I don't know, people tell me I'm funny.
Starting point is 00:37:52 No, I think you're funny. I don't think you're goofy. Like, do I make, like, if we went downstairs, like, could I make you laugh? You have been doing some funny impersonations lately. You have liked my impersonations. That's so funny. I impersonate our therapist and she dies laughing every single time. It can't clear up.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Who did I impersonate yesterday? Oh, yeah. Who did you yesterday? I did you yesterday and you were dying. Oh, I know. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It came to me, but we don't want to hear anybody. And then, like, there was this one time, like, Danny.
Starting point is 00:38:25 got me these like boxers with her face on them. Oh, that was funny. And I just like, I didn't say We were fighting. We were fighting. And, and she got like these boxers and it just has her face all over it with like hearts. And we were fighting and I just was like, he came out. I came out and I was like, I'm not going to talk to you anymore. But I was wearing the boxers. And she's like my face all over. See, my comedy is like kind of all. It's like across the spectrum. Like I'm like. You're getting funnier. Well, I, you know what it is is I think I'm just like, I think with you. I think with you. I'm just caring less. And it's bringing out this side that I'm just like, you know, like she's already mad. So like I'm just going to be funny. No, it's.
Starting point is 00:39:05 And it's working. It's like turning you on. It's the craziest thing. It's like I just got to. Why are girls like that? Why do girls always like whenever guys just don't try as hard? I don't know. Something gives us the ick when like a guy tries too hard.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Yeah. For sure. But it's like, I mean, with other people like in divvy or wherever I am like working like I'm not trying I don't care and so like it was weird because I was getting a lot of feedback that I was funny externally but then internally I was like why isn't Danny sing you you should not be funny at all you weren't funny whatsoever I know but you know why why because I was stressed as a mofo why because we had social media we had divy we had two kids under two we had you got so funny Family drama. Two years. I know.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I don't know what happened. I know. It was like, it's like, my inner, my inner child came out. I know. Wow, you're really just everything
Starting point is 00:40:03 ever wanted. No, you've been saying that too lately. I've heard. I've heard you. But then last week, let me tell you, she said the opposite of that.
Starting point is 00:40:14 I was on my period or then Satan came in the form of my period. Yeah. I'm like, I'm like, have we ever explored periods being linked to the to demonic possession should call J.P. and be like,
Starting point is 00:40:29 hey, have you ever thought about it? You're like blood. We're thinking blood of Christ. The cry, blood of Christ. Like, um, yeah, it was brutal. But, you know, I'm back. I feel like I'm back to normal. Yeah. Not that the period's over. No, I was watching precisely because I was sitting here and I was like, how much, we're going to Turks and Kekos on Thursday. And I was like, you're going to lock me on an island with this woman. I was like, I need to come up. Like, I was like going to go jump off the roof and break my leg or something.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Should just put a notification on because I always forget what day I start my period. No, you know what? Honestly, what I was thinking is I. So it's kind of like the first. I'm always like the first of the month. I was even before I had someone. Yeah. No, genuinely, I, uh, this is funny.
Starting point is 00:41:12 This is like, I called our realtor. And I was like, hey, what are the chances we can close early on this lake house? And then I was going to be like, I was going to go away on Saturday and Sunday. You're being so dramatic. No. Okay. It was not. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:32 Whatever. You're like now you're on your period. No, I'm not funny. Anyway. Um, what's next? I think that when you, when you develop a different relationship with your trauma, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, can produce comedy because you have a sense of humor yeah because when you're like woe is me like I had a hard childhood you know but then when you're like yeah I was like effed up that's why I love
Starting point is 00:42:04 Theo Bonn yeah no for sure he like always jokes about how his mother never looked at him as a child and he just talks about it all the time and he makes jokes about it but we all know it's coming from a place of hurt yeah and like but he at at least it's talking about it I don't know I just yeah yeah it's having a sense of humor and it's having it's also being able to have some humility and not taking yourself too seriously right i think that that was my problem a couple years ago as i took myself real seriously that's so true so true that's why we called you sport coat every day he put a sport coat on well i just wanted i was like i'm serious i think it's so funny that but still i called my dad jacket i know because he always wears a jacket i know so so weird
Starting point is 00:42:51 So it's like, hey, deck it. I was like, that's a fun nickname. Yeah, so speaking of Candace Owens and the internet, have you been hearing about the Candace Owens' House and Habit drama? No, but someone was telling us about it at the dinner. Yes. And all at the time, she said that House and Habit was a CIA plant. And I was.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Yeah, I don't think so. But I was fascinated by that theory. Have you heard about this drama? Okay. So they're both kind of like independent journalists, would you say? Yeah. And they're both. Candice Owen is obviously extremely right-wing conservative.
Starting point is 00:43:31 I wouldn't say she's a conspiracy theorist, but she goes after, you know, quote, unquote, the truth. Well, she'll go down some of those. Yeah. She said that the French prime minister's wife is a man. Oh, she's like doubling down. She's like tripling down on that one. She's tripling down on that. That's a tough one.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I went down that rabbit hole too. too. Did you see a... I don't know. What do you think? I haven't followed it enough, but that would be... That would be wild. No, I mean, she is like tripling down. Like, she believes it to her core.
Starting point is 00:44:07 And I think that he's like, like, trying to sue her. Yeah, no, for sure. And, but then she was like, okay, can you just, like, confirm that you're a female? And they responded, like, no comment. And it's like if you're a, if you're a female, like, why wouldn't you just be like, yeah, I'm a female? I don't know. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Maybe they just. Maybe they just don't want to, like, reply at all. They take a mile. Yeah, but they were going after her ensuing her. So it's like if you're going to put all that work into it, why would it? You know what I mean? Like they're putting so much work into it on the front end. You might as well just like.
Starting point is 00:44:44 That wouldn't really make me question my entire reality, I think. If she was a male? Yeah. No, if, yeah, if it was a male, yeah. That would make me question because it's like, how can you be such a public figure? Well, the weird thing about their relationship, what's her name? His name is Macaroon. Yeah, Macroon.
Starting point is 00:45:05 He's a Macaron. It sounds French. It's a Macaron. Or Macaron or something. Macron, me Macroon. Her name is Bridgette. Macaron. Macron. Brigitte.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Brigitte. Brigitte, okay. But I think what's interesting about their relationship is they met when she was like 40 and he was like 15. Yeah, wasn't it like his babysitter? His teacher. His teacher. transitioned or if she was a male teacher, which I feel like if she was a male teacher,
Starting point is 00:45:52 people would have remembered that. Yeah. Yeah. So she must have already been like a feeling. I don't know, Candace. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:59 That just seems like something that would be like. The thing about Candace Owens is she's so. Believable because she's like, she's like confident. She's so confident. Everything. I know. The thing is like,
Starting point is 00:46:10 has she ever been wrong about something and then come out and been like, I was wrong? Because I would respect that. I don't know. I don't feel like she has. So has she just been right about everything? I don't know. It's tough.
Starting point is 00:46:21 I know. It's tough. You know, there's a lot of people that you can put into that super confident, never apologize category. So, but with Candace, um, okay, that trash can just opened up. I swear. It's like, you're like, it's a statement. Um, but, uh, so I started actually fall.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Because I've never really been like a Candace Owen's fan. I'd never like listen to her stuff. But when she started covering the Blake lie, Justin Baldoni case. That's what got a lot of the I got really deep into it because I love how in depth she goes. And she creates all these timelines and everything was like so factual. So anyway, that's how I kind of found out about the House and Habit. Candace Owens' drama.
Starting point is 00:47:03 House and Habit is also another independent journalist who used to be an extreme like Democrat. And during 2020, switched to basically supporting Trump became like a pretty sure. strong conservative. Now I would say she's she identifies as like, um, she's independent, I guess. So, but she was very pro Trump during like his campaigns. Was she pro Trump or pro RFK? Uh, she was pro Trump for a couple days there. For sure. Yeah. Um, she was at Marlauago a lot. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if she still is, but she definitely was pro Trump for a couple days. And, um, but yeah, she's always been pro RFK. But, um, anyway, so they're both kind of for the same causes. Now, they don't agree on everything, but they're both, you know, successful in
Starting point is 00:47:54 their own right, have pretty cult followings. And all of a sudden, I see this Candace-Zoan's video, and they were going at each other's necks because they were on a podcast together in January. And then House and Habit, you know, they decide that they want to do more collaborations together. So they're like, Candice is like, yeah, let's do it. And House and Habit has one of her writers for her substack, creating a hit piece about Candace Owens, even though they're talking about doing a collaboration together. And when their teams meet up, Candice finds out that this is going on and was like,
Starting point is 00:48:37 what the heck? Like, we were sporting each other. We got along. And I guess that one of like the biggest, like hits on Candace Owens was they were trying to kind of like out her husband for being friends with Andrew Tate which I don't even really know if they were that close. But there's like screenshots and text messages that came out between House and Habits writer that was writing for her substack saying like hey like this article about Candace Owens
Starting point is 00:49:06 is not good enough like we need a clean shot like you need literally the quote says like we need a clean shot like take her out. Was it clean or kill shot? Clean shot. Oh. Like, but basically a kill shot. Like, you need something, like, basically none of this is good enough. Like, find something more.
Starting point is 00:49:22 And so Candace got a hold of that. And I don't know. I just feel like it's one of those things like you just don't mess with Candace. No, you really don't. You know? And so then there was just like a lot of. Yeah, you just don't mess with Danny, you know. And so, yeah, it was just like a lot of back and forth drama.
Starting point is 00:49:38 And it just felt like two girls fighting. that, you know, should have just been friends and supportive of each other. But yeah, you had me at CIA plant and then I kind of got uninterested when it was like too jealous girls. Then it came out that house and habit, even though she was, you know, at Marlago and supporting Trump for a couple of days, like kind of seemed like she was more conservative, not seen, but like was more conservative for quite some time. You find out that she actually never voted in this last election. Ooh. And she. She didn't have vote for the election, vote in the last election.
Starting point is 00:50:13 And then people thought for a bit that she was like a CIA plant that was like put in place to gain the trust of all of these conservatives. But really like working for like the Democrats. I just, I don't know. It seems like a far stretch to me. Yeah, it's a stretch. But yeah, it is, it is always, it is a little startling when you see women posting videos on their feed attacking another woman like just like go. going after them. Like, it's...
Starting point is 00:50:43 Did you say woman or women? Women. I always say that. I always say that word wrong. Women, when you see these women, women, whatever. Yeah, yeah, women. Okay, when you see these women. And people say that you say woman.
Starting point is 00:51:00 I do say women. I say it wrong. Okay. It's fine. It's not that big video. Really stirring some people up. It's just really not that big video. I think the comment I read was,
Starting point is 00:51:10 at this point it's a farce. She just keeps saying... I'm just trying to piss you all off, really. Honestly, it's pillow or pillow. I don't know. I call it a pillow, okay? Really? It's a pillow.
Starting point is 00:51:23 How do you say crayon? Crayon, crown. A crown. It's a crown. Oh, okay. It's not a crayon. It's a crown. Okay. Yeah, yeah, sure. You say crayon? Creon, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Not crown? Yeah. Where's your crowns at? From Rockwell, I guess. Do you say pillow? or pillow? It's a pillow. It's a pillow.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Women. Women. Anyway, yeah, it's always a little starting to see. Probably because I've had so many women making videos about me and my time, you know, so I know the feeling. But, gosh, Candice just reminds me of cookie. And you know I love cookie. She loves cooking.
Starting point is 00:52:04 From that show, Empire, is I what it called? Yeah, you know that show seven years ago. No one probably would be. No, this show, Empire. They had this character named Cookie. And she just took no BS from nobody. And any time I would ever, I was ever getting online internet hate, I would say, I just be like cookie. I know.
Starting point is 00:52:25 I think you have it in you, though. I know. It's just fun of the day. We need to awaken the giant. Yes. So, so anyway, that's always hard. Yeah, I totally agree. What are you looking forward to in life this year?
Starting point is 00:52:43 You know, I've been thinking a lot about life. Oh, God. And, you know, I had this call with my new manager because I don't know if I told you the guys this, but after I took my social media hiatus, it's my sabbatical, I came back and I decided I didn't want to manage such a big team because I felt. felt like I needed to manage my children and that's technically I was managing like 10 people like with my children no probably high CEO scores too yeah exactly you did yeah high CEO score and so um I don't have us full of a team now so I have an agency that I'm working with now and um
Starting point is 00:53:30 I got on a phone call with them and they're like so what are your goals like what are you trying oh today they did that again no no no this was like a while that. I was like, I think you're pretty clear that you, your goal is to not have goals. No. And the thing about me is like when people have asked me that question in the past, I have had so many goals. You couldn't need, I needed five pieces of papers, really, to write them all out. And it was just like, which category of life? And then I decided when I took my social media hiatus, I was like, I'm not going to have any goals except for it to just be a good mom. And just my goal is to not have goals. And so they asked me that question. And it was hard. I was like, I know. I could see the
Starting point is 00:54:11 wrestle. I was like, and I'm like, I have all these goals that I had last year that I could just make up in the moment. And then I was like, so my goal is to not have goals. My goal is to just be healthy and run my business and, you know, keep working, but not become a workaholic. But then you clarified and you said, but don't worry. Don't worry. I'll have goals. They'll come back. I was there. Don't worry. You go, don't worry.
Starting point is 00:54:42 They'll come back like you had to serve and impress them. No, not impress them. I just felt like I didn't want to be a waste of time. So yeah, I guess. Yeah, no, for sure. I was like, Danny, these people work for you. So anyway, my point with that being is I have been thinking about my goals lately, you know, because I want to have, I want to have.
Starting point is 00:55:05 I want to have new goals in different ways, different areas. They don't have to be all like work related. Getting Lakehouse was always a goal of mine. I know. So I do feel like. I'm telling you that list is getting real small. I know, I know. But then I had other goals like, um, like I want to have like a go to recipe.
Starting point is 00:55:25 You know, like when friends are coming over. Like I don't want to be like cooking in every meal. But like I want to have like three recipes I master. Like yeah. People are coming over Saturday night. I'm like going to the grocery store. because I'm going to make Danny's famous lasagna. Like, you know.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Yeah. So I kind of want to get like three recipes that are kind of like my things. Yeah. You know. I really want to get back into the date game and not dating game, but like figs, you know, like dates. There's so many fun things you can make with dates. What are you talking about? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:58 There's like a lot of really healthy like dark chocolate cover like sea salt with figs. I've never had a date in my life. nor have I ever seen you eat a date. No, I eat them all the time with peanut butter and chocolate and salt. They're delicious. Wow. And so I've been really wanting to mess with some dates. I've been thinking about that a lot lately.
Starting point is 00:56:18 I've been thinking about I really want to buy my own rugs for my house because I always go through like art designer. And I really want to pick out my own rugs. Yeah. And like that's been a goal of mine lately. That's a big one. I'm doing workout classes. so I'm trying to leave the house, not work out at home. You are on, you're like a purple belt trad wife right now.
Starting point is 00:56:42 And you are moving to Black Belt. And I am so into it. I'm like, you be the mother to our children. You go sign up for those tennis lessons. Like, you go make it. I will do tennis lessons as well. I think I'm going to start those in the summer. So TBRM has this like new racket club in Dallas that they're basically like doing this huge
Starting point is 00:57:03 renovation. It's going to be like a really like bougie like cute thing. I think I'm going to join. I hope it's not exclusive. You know, because those country clubs don't like me. I'm black ball and triple out of those country clubs. Wow.
Starting point is 00:57:18 So that's. So those are kind of my goals. I really. Can I ask you something? The rug one is the one that's actually stressing me out the most. You know, I can I ask you something? Are you, are you, are those goals sufficient for? you. Yeah. They're actually kind of putting me in my like, like, in like this discomfort zone.
Starting point is 00:57:41 You know? I'm kind of feeling a little uncomfortable. You're like, I can build a pretty big business, but I don't really know what to do with these dates right now. I'm like, I'm like, it's Danny versus the date. I'm like, it's so real. No, I'm like, no, like I can get on like the phone call with the CEO of, let's just say summer Fridays, but then I pull up to the grocery store and I just stare and I'm like, this place is going to eat me alive and spit me back out. I mean, this place is, it haunts me. Like, the amount of anxiety I have like going to the grocery store, it's so overwhelming. Yeah, no, this is, this is great stuff. Yeah. And like, I'm all part of the the deconstructing Danny face. No, and like the fact that I have to now pick out my own rugs,
Starting point is 00:58:28 order them and then wait to see if I like them. Like, do you know how stressful that is? They're going to show up and I'm going to be like, did I order this? Like, this is not what I ordered. Like, I'm going to be such a mom. Like, you know, I'm returning this. Yeah, you're going to be so busy with all those returns you got to do.
Starting point is 00:58:45 And it's going to be like, so I got these rugs. And, you know, the shade of blue does not match the soap. Even though online, you know, I went to the store and I talked to Carrie and she gave me the sample and it's off and the size is off. So now I'm going to spend the next week returning this rug. Wow. That's what like, that's like what moms do, you know?
Starting point is 00:59:02 Yeah. So. That's so great though. Yeah. You know, I'm so excited for it. I think I'll save a little bit of money too. Yeah, yeah, no. You know?
Starting point is 00:59:10 You know, because I want to pay like the designer to do it. You know, I kind of thought that what you were starting, because I saw this wrestle, you know, from a mile away. And I was like, you know, I know that she wants a goal. But she knows the goal can't be like. business or work associated because she knows it's not fulfilling in the same way that it used to be. So I was like, what are her goals going to be? And when you said dates, I realized that I will spend a lifetime getting to know my wife and I will still never know her fully because dates were a million miles away from what I ever thought you'd say. Well, they're a great, healthy, sweet treat that you can do a lot
Starting point is 00:59:56 of fun things with. I understand. But it's kind of like that, it's kind of like that, that meme where it's like, it's like, he's probably thinking about other girls. And it's like, I'm thinking about the Roman empire. And it's like, for me, I'm like, she's probably like really twisted in her mind about her identity. And she's like, what can you do with dates? She's thinking about dates. No, not those kind of dates. Yeah. The fruit kind of day. Well, I'm so proud of you. Yeah, no, I think, um, I think you're going to make a great CEO of our family, which is kind of what a mom is. You know, I mean, dad is too, but like, I'm not, I'm not getting into gender roles. But, like, I feel like...
Starting point is 01:00:31 Well, the mom is more like the C-O-O, actually. Tell me what you mean. Like, operations. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's more the CEO. Yeah, for, I get everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, but I think...
Starting point is 01:00:45 Definitely not the CFO. You know what I'm saying? Hey, oh. Oh, that's funny. So anyway, my point with all of that is, what are your, some of your goals outside of work? Oh. I think it's really important to have them. I actually set my goals for the year.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Would you like to do? You would. Like, he probably set these goals, like January 1. And, like, he probably has, like, a notification. They pop up every morning at, like, 5.4. And he looks at his goals and he says a little prayer. Sorry, that was like a little undercut. 175 pounds at 12% body fat.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Where do you at now? 175, but like 15%. You're almost there. No, it's going to be really hard. Yeah, the percentages, it's like, it's not just a percentage. Like, it's a lot. So I think as part of hitting that goal, I might do a half marathon. Babe, you know, all I've ever wanted in life was a partner to run with.
Starting point is 01:01:47 I know, but you're so fast. No, but see, here's a thing, though, I'm not anymore. And here's another thing is my uterus falls out anytime I take a step. Like, I mean, at all times, like, like I, never mind. There's a little TMI. Actually, I'll tell you, I bled after my workout today. And I'm three months postpartum, and I'm still bleeding. So, no, like, trust me, you and I would be a good team now.
Starting point is 01:02:11 I'm out of shape. I'm going through like a, like a, a wellness program. I want to complete that. What wellness program? What was I invited? Well, you know what I'm talking about. Okay. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:24 And then. Therapy. Oh, I really want to do a vow renewal. And I keep asking Danny, like, I keep being like, hey, Danny, like, what kind of ring do you want to add to your stack? And she keeps being like, I don't want rings. I want rugs. And I'm like, I'm like, okay. Well, can.
Starting point is 01:02:49 And I finally, I've asked her like three times trying to subtly like pick up. I knew what you were asking. And so last night I went to her and I was like, hey, listen, like, I have this dream of like renewing our vows. And I was like, I keep asking you about this ring. And you're like, I know what you're doing. She was like, I just maybe something like diamond earrings or like I really want rugs and I want music to play throughout my house. I was like, okay, well, like, that doesn't really help me with my ceremony. He goes, well, what do you want?
Starting point is 01:03:16 I go, really? I was like, really what I want is I want speakers. When you walk through every room of the house, you can hear music playing. You know, just like those speakers that people have in their house, like it sets the ambiance. And I really want new rugs. And I was like, if you want to go with diamonds, you could do earrings. But I love my ring so much. And he was like, what about another ring for another finger?
Starting point is 01:03:39 And I was like, no, I just. I don't really want jewelry. I'm not like a huge jewelry gal. Yeah. I put all my jewelry, like all the dollars of, like I would put into jewelry, I would put into my engagement ring. Okay. Well, I figure that one out. I have goals for our kids, but I just, you know.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Dude, that feels a little controlling. No, no, no. They're nice. It's like, it's like I want to get stratton in a sport he enjoys. Oh, soccer. Yeah, yeah. So, yeah. You know, Stella's got to apply to schools because we're in like, what is this? College admissions for five-year-olds.
Starting point is 01:04:22 Should we talk about the private schools in Dallas? Guys, it's getting out of hand. It's a little while. It's out of hand. I mean. So let me just preface by saying, so we live in actual Dallas. Now, if you go on the suburbs or the outskirts of Dallas, Dallas, like suburbs, have some of the best schools, I think, in the nation.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Like public schools. Public schools. I mean, like, even the school I went to growing up public school, I thought it was a great school, Jordan school growing up. So there are, when people say Dallas, though, it's kind of one of those things where it's like, you know, what part of Dallas, BFW area are we talking about? But Dallas proper, outside of Highland Park, some of the schools aren't as good. And Highland Park is like the wealthiest little nugget in Dallas.
Starting point is 01:05:07 And we don't live in Holland Park. And actually where we live has great, we have some good public schools. But it's one of those things where it's like the middle schools are good or the elementary school is good and the high school is not as great. Like, you know, it's kind of like. Yeah. So if you're going to get into private school because it's so competitive, like you should try to get your kids into private school in kindergarten, even if you have a good elementary school. Because if you wait until they're, you know, in fourth grade, by that time, the private school is only going to have like two spots open if you're trying to get in. Do you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:05:39 So anyway, so the Dallas schools to private schools, y'all, this admission process is truly, it reminds me of college. It might even be harder than college because in college, you at least can work really hard and get your grades up and then get into a school and, like, prove yourself. But getting into a private school, they don't know your child. Also, like, your child is four years old. It's like, the application's like, what's your child's favorite book? And I'm like brown bear like I don't know like like wrong answer. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Should be the Bible. Yeah. Or you don't know. And so, um, so you, it's, it's extremely difficult to navigate. Some of the schools are, because they're private, they can be very picky on the type of family that you want. And I'm sure that, I mean, I know for a fact that there are some school in Dallas that do not approve of what I do for a living.
Starting point is 01:06:33 I've asked around about this. I don't, I don't, I don't. I don't know. Babe, they literally had a statement that came out that they don't want the moms to be working. That is true. Yes. Okay. So not only am I working, but I'm putting our lives online.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Yeah. Can I tell you something though? Like, you're a purple belt trad wife. By next year when we're applying, you're kind of going to be black belt. In fact, we might have to skip this whole private school admission thing because you're going to be homeschooling our kids. They're going to be in nature school led by Danny Austin every day. I'm like, we're moving to Ireland. We're going to go learn about the Irish
Starting point is 01:07:09 And make our own butter But you had that dream Remember? You were homeschool? Yeah, remember? You had the dream and you dreamed that you were homeschooling our kids. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:24 What happened to that dream? I don't think that that dream was prophetic That I was supposed to be homeschooling. Here you are discounting the spiritual realm again. It's just a period. It's not spiritual. I think it was just about symbolizing, spending time with my kids. Okay. Sure. I'm not here. I'm not here to interpret your dreams. Please don't. Because I don't think that you would not like that.
Starting point is 01:07:53 You would say, get out of my mother. I'm like, let me tell you about my dream last night. You would not want to know what happened. Oh, what happened? No, thank you. Was it about me? No. Don't worry about it. I'm going to ask you later.
Starting point is 01:08:08 Daniel Hulu, who. I'm going to ask you later. What did you dream about last night? I don't remember my dreams, but I had a hundred sleep score. It's so funny. Like, it is so funny because I will wake up and I'll be like, oh my God, I slept so well last night. And I look at my sleep court. It's like 65.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Every single time. And then Jordan's like, oh, no sleep. And it's like 100. It happens every single time. Yeah, I have the worst. sleep scores. But you know why? I started this thing again where I wake up at like 2 a.m. 3 a.m. and I just cannot fall back to sleep. Oh, get on your phone. No. No. No. Um, it's not my fault. No, I don't. Whoa. Is that what you heard? That's what I heard. Because that's not what I said.
Starting point is 01:08:53 No, it's not my fault. I just, I wake up and it's not because I'm on my phone. Like, I just wake up and I'm just not tired. Yeah. Yeah. I gave you a beam last night too. Just I only take a couple of of sips because that stuff hits me hard. Ooh, that beam. Yeah. So anyway. Did you hear that steak and shake is going to start cooking with beef tallow? They already have been.
Starting point is 01:09:18 Forever? Yeah, they, they, everyone knows that they're their beef tallow. You knew that too? Jordan, not everybody knows that. Just because you're on like the beef tallow Twitter feeds doesn't mean that everybody else is. Okay. Yeah, no. Steak and shake does beef tallow with their fries, right?
Starting point is 01:09:34 So does outback. So does. Poppies? Popeyes. Yeah, Popeyes is beep teller. Popeyes is such a gross place. I've never been, I don't think. To be honest.
Starting point is 01:09:46 I've never been to Albaq. Seafood and a fast food restaurant. No, I've never been to Albaq. We didn't have one in Rockwall. Alpac Seaghouse, they used to have the best mac and cheese. Oh my God, it's so good. Yeah, no, I've never been to Albaq. Man, isn't that like a, it's like a Texas staple.
Starting point is 01:10:04 No, wait, it's Australian. Yeah, you're thinking of Texas Road. Yeah, I think of Texas Road. You're right. It's Australian. Which is close. You know, the outback, out of Australia. Outback.
Starting point is 01:10:15 Outback. Outback. Yeah. Okay. So, yeah, but I think that's really great. Because I also heard that McDonald's might start making their franchise and beef tallow again. Yeah. I mean.
Starting point is 01:10:32 Because McDonald's used to make their franchise and just beef tallow, potatoes, salt, and sugar that was the only ingredients. Now look at them. Now you look at the ingredients and there's like a hundred different ingredients in there. So I don't know, you know, maybe that will be my goal is one day I'll cook with beef tallow. Okay, well, we love you guys. We'll talk to you later. Bye.
Starting point is 01:10:52 Bye. Please note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. Individuals on the show may have a direct or indirect financial interest in products or services referred to in this episode.
