Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. So, and welcome back to your favorite podcast, D-Inluence. We're back home and it feels so good. It does feel nicer to be here. It feels good to have good audio again, too. I know, man. I don't want to like drag this studio, but geez. So our audio and our last mom talk, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wise podcast,
Starting point is 00:00:28 I couldn't even listen to it because I was so bummed at how it sounded. but people said if you kept listening, like you get past it and it was fine. But it's a learning process. This had nothing to do with Dear Media at all, but things have just happened. Let's tell them about the Freedom B. Okay. Okay, so there's a Freedom V. So imagine in my hands, I have a V.
Starting point is 00:00:52 And basically, will you explain it? I was like, I can't wait until you hear what he has to say. Okay, I'll explain it. So basically. I can do it if you can't. Okay, you do it. Okay. So this goes back to servant leadership.
Starting point is 00:01:06 So this can work within your family. I'm holding up the V still. You can push their arms down. It can work within your business. It can work with anywhere that you are leading or there is a leader. So there is a freedom V. Let's use our children as examples. So right now, Sela and Stratton are at the top of the V.
Starting point is 00:01:27 And as soon as they maybe lie to our faces, they hit. it, they, you know, whatever it is, we tell them, Stella, you have lost my trust. I am moving you down in the V. And now that you're lower in the V, you're going to have to, because you lied about brushing your teeth, now every single night, whenever you brush your teeth, you have to come find me and brush your teeth in front of me because you lied. And because you lied, now you're lower in the V and now I have to have more control over you until you earn my trust again. And then maybe if you do it, if you do it right for three months straight, then I'll move you high in the V and then you can brush your teeth by yourself again. Yeah. And like business, the optimal organization is a self-governing organization, which means that everyone is as high as they can be on the Freedom V with their managers, with their directors, with their CEOs.
Starting point is 00:02:19 And so you really shouldn't have to have a lot of meetings because there's no oversight because everyone is so high in accountability in the Freedom V. Here's a little twist on the freedom v. So I'll give you an example. I had to move someone down in the freedom be. Who was it with me? No. I'm always like, I'm all over on that view. But here's the thing is I didn't communicate to them that they were lower in the freedom
Starting point is 00:02:41 beat. And I do this all the time. You could tell them. You have to tell them because. Then they think you're micromanaging. They think you're micromanaging or they feel like you don't trust me and you've never communicated to me that you don't trust me. So I am horrible at not communicating where people are at my freedom.
Starting point is 00:02:57 be, I will just write them off. So you're horrible at communicating. At communicating where they are. No. Okay. You said I'm horrible at not communicating. Yeah, I don't communicate to them. You're horrible at communicating to them.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Yes, at communicating. Oh, okay. Sorry. It's interesting. Yeah. I'm like, what's that? Yeah, okay, you're right. You're right.
Starting point is 00:03:14 So, like, right now there's someone in my head that is very low on my freedom be. Uh-oh. But I have not told them. This is so passive aggressive. I know. I'm so petty sometimes. Let's just say, if they're listening, will they know who they are?
Starting point is 00:03:26 I think that there's so many people that are in our system that everyone is listening and is like, is it me? Is it me? Is it me? And so they are so,
Starting point is 00:03:35 there's no one in this room. So anyway, I have not communicated. So what did I do wrong in this freedom be? You move them down without telling them. So how are they going to feel? They're going to feel like,
Starting point is 00:03:45 wow, Jordan like doesn't appreciate me. He resents me. He doesn't like he's micromanaging me. Yes. He's doing, but here's the other, I have to put a little twist on the V.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Uh-huh. Okay. How many layers does the V have for you. For me, it's like three layers. It's like if you're low, it's like we're checking in once a week together. If you're in the middle range, it's like, I'm going to check in with you once a month. It depends on the relationship though, because it's your kids, you're checking in with them every hour. Okay, true. I'm thinking about it business. But here's a little twist on the V that I want to give people. Sometimes you move lower in the V, even though you didn't do anything wrong.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Hmm. Interesting. This can happen when let's just say a new, let's just making this up, like a C. CEO is hired. Hey, I'm going to make this up. Jessica, you're going to be lower in the V because we're trying to learn a new system, a new process. Don't take it personally. I'm moving you lower in the V because there's a new system, a new process. I want you to try something new and I want you to grow.
Starting point is 00:04:43 So you're going back to the bottom of the V. It's not your fault, but you're there because you're in a new role and you're trying something new. And I don't want you, if I'm micromanaging you, it's not personal. It's not because you've made mistakes. It's because you're at the bottom of V because you're doing. you're growing in a new area. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:59 So it would be like Stella got a new bed. Stella, you're back at the bottom of my V. Not because you did anything wrong, but because this is all new. And I need for you like whenever you wake up in the morning, don't come and get mommy. I need for you to lay and wait for mommy to like come and get you. And then maybe one day we'll build up this process enough where you can get out of bed yourself. But it's not your fault. It's just the way that it is right now.
Starting point is 00:05:23 So true. This is such a good parenting. understanding too because you don't want to keep your kids the low end of the V. Forever. The goal is for them to be self-governing, self-sustaining. But here's the thing. Independent individuals. Also, the goal should always be that you're constantly going through new processes of the V.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Because if you're at the bottom of the V, you know that you're growing. If you stay at the top of the V forever, that means you're not growing. That means you're not trying anything new. You've mastered your art. And you kind of always want to be trying new Vs. Yeah. In new vs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:56 It's motto and life. You know, we're going to have this course taught to our whole ecosystem. I love it. Q1 probably. There's just so, business is so. It's all people, man. Multifaceted. It's like, it's just, there's so much that goes into it.
Starting point is 00:06:12 It's like, it's hard. It's hard, man. You know what I thought was really interesting? Speaking of like a little catch up, because we do have, we have to catch up on quite a few things. Speaking of business, you've been all over the business summits, J.P. Morgan Forbes lady. I know. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:06:27 have your people call my people. No, it actually just so happens that the most amazing things that I've done in my career have happened
Starting point is 00:06:38 like over five days. They're usually more spread out. Yeah. But like I'm back to being pretty normal. So I don't like expect too much of, although you know what I did
Starting point is 00:06:48 this morning that you actually didn't ask me about and I'm like a little offended about. Oh shoot. Wait, hold on. Hold on. Let me answer.
Starting point is 00:06:54 this. What did I do this morning? Like showered when you got up? No, babe. Oh, sorry. Hold on. No, I don't answer this for me. Jordan, you were supposed to be there and you canceled last minute. Oh, I'm sorry. The Ulta fireside chat. Yes. I like meant, I said essentially not mentored because I hate that word because that would insinuate that I know everything. And I definitely don't. But I got to sit down and share my experience growing divvy with like 17 different people. And, And I had to tell you. Other founders? Yes, founders of beauty brands.
Starting point is 00:07:30 I'd tell you it was my best work yet. Really? I feel like I killed it. I feel like I changed people's lives. Wow. More so than I did at Forbes or J.P. Morgan. Oh, see, I still stand by this. I think J.P. Morgan was your best work ever.
Starting point is 00:07:45 No, you should have seen me today. Babe, not only that, but I was talking fast. Because I tend to talk really slow. Yeah. I'm a slow talker. And I was talking fast. It was a phenomenal fireside chat. I think because I felt so confident.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Do you want to know why? Why? It was my normal medium, which is like on the phone. I felt at home. Was it video there? It was a Zoom call. It was a Zoom panel. So like everybody chimed in via Zoom.
Starting point is 00:08:10 And I felt at, like I do so much better when I communicate on my normal platform, which is to the phone. But when you put me in front of people, I freeze up. My brain goes blank. That's why I had to prepare. So much before my panels and my speeches and everything because my brain just turns off. They're like, what did you do to grow? And I'm like, I don't know. You know what I'm more proud of you for than just doing well today? I'm more proud that you're able to acknowledge that you did well. No, I know.
Starting point is 00:08:41 That's like a new, that's a new skill. But that's how well that I did. Oh, so it's like your, your bar is so high that you just know. Okay. Because you know, I do a lot of things on a daily basis that I've never said this about myself. I know. It's new. It's fresh. I was like, oh, we are turning a corner in your self-esteem. Yeah, no. No, we're still there. We're still there. I just had a good day. We're still bottomed out. We're still bottomed out. But yeah, so that was really great. I'm coming off the high of that. So I was happy to just like pop right into this podcast. But talk about the JP Morgan event. Let's just just talk about it for a second. Well, can I just talk about something like just general, generic about both of these panels? Yeah. I, first of all, was so honored.
Starting point is 00:09:21 to be on both of these panels. And we can go more specifics into both of them. I was so honored to be in the audience. Thank you, babe. For that. But, you know, both of these had one or two questions about work-life balance, which I know that we're going to get into probably more like later on in this podcast. It's about like, how do you work with your spouse or how do you do it?
Starting point is 00:09:42 Like, you know, you're a mom and you're a business owner and you're, and it's like, I think the worst, the hardest question to answer is when they're like, how do you do it all? Because you and I both know that when I got back from Forbes, I spent three days crying. Yeah. Because I was like, I am not doing it all. I feel so much mom guilt for being gone in Chicago and then basically back for when I am in Cincinnati for two. Like I, it was kind of like I was depressed. No, you were for sure depressed.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Yeah, I had to give you a pep talk. How did I do, by the way? Because I usually, I was not as understanding. I kind of went into the mode where I was like, hey, hey, you buck her up. We're not going to do this. I was like, we are not going to do this. Because sometimes I think you get mad at me that I don't actually give you like a motivational coach pep talk.
Starting point is 00:10:33 And so I tried the angle. How do we feel about the performance? Yeah, it was a little annoying, but like I appreciated it. Really? Like probably better than if I were to like comfort. I think there's like a good in between. Okay. Of like understanding.
Starting point is 00:10:47 And I just don't like whenever pep tots don't make. don't make sense. And there were some things that you said that just made no sense. It's okay. I love you. Okay. Well, back to the Freedom Bee. Let's put me mid right now. We'll workshop it and then I'll raise, I'll raise up. No, but I'm, it's only, I'm responsible for my own feelings. So it's not your fault. That's so wise. I mean, yeah, that's cool. So yeah, it's just so funny because I feel like I get asked that question all the time and they're like, how do you do it? I'm like, I know. I've been crying all morning. And I feel so much mom guilt. I'm like, did I do it right or do I do it wrong?
Starting point is 00:11:23 Or am I still doing it wrong or what is right? And everybody hates me. That's what I think. Yeah. You really, it was a death spiral. We went down real fast on the other day. But let me ask you this question. When we are home and not traveling, I actually think that we are decently balanced.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Do you feel that? Like meaning I think we work from the hours in nine to five. I think our kids feel balanced. I think that we've got a good rhythm. Yeah. Okay. So I think travel, like one of the themes of this week is I think we both had that back to back. Because we weren't gone at either of these places more than like a night roughly, but it was just back to back.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And I think we both felt, oh my gosh, we just gave to this area of our life, which was work. So much. So much. We gave so much to work. And then we now feel like we're trying to overcompensate for trying to get back into family just for this one week. And I think that that's what hurt your family. What really triggered it for me? I think I know, but tell me.
Starting point is 00:12:21 What do you think it is? I think that what happened was that you missed our kids so much and that you came home and you kind of tried to course correct so fast. And honestly, I think Stella had napped and Stratton had napped. And so they were both like pretty horrible. Yeah. Sorry, but they were being horrible. They were horrible.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And I think that that didn't play out exactly how you expected it to. And then I think that it just perpetuated this feeling of like, I made a mistake. I'm a failure. I'm a bad mom. Yeah. Yeah. They were acting in a way that I have not seen them act before. And I thought, this is what happens when I leave.
Starting point is 00:13:00 And I messed up. And now they're going to be screwed up for life. That's literally what I thought. And I was like the amount of effort in time it's going to take to course correct their behaviors, it's like the damage I've done in four days is going to. take me four months to fix. Like that's how I felt. Yeah. But I will say like, like, no, I think we're good again. But I, I like panicked. I was like, the way that they were acting was so not normal. Yeah. And yeah, I panicked. I really did. And I, I, it's okay though. Because like,
Starting point is 00:13:33 Stella's, oh, we're good. No, we're totally good. I had to take away, like, a lot of privileges from them. And, you know, when I got home, I was going to take her to target to get like a new toy because I missed her and if she was good when I wasn't there and then she wasn't. So we got in the car to drive to Target and then she literally spat in Jordan's face. It's true. It's debatable. To be clear, it's debatable. Was it an intentional spit or was it just like she sneezed and it just some stuff came into my face? No, she spat on your face and then, but before that hit, she had slammed the door. She didn't. Okay, I just want to clarify this. You know, I know she got in
Starting point is 00:14:10 trouble and I think that was the right move. But you asked me, Jordan in the moment, you were like, Jordan did she intentionally spit in her face and I knew that I had so much control over her consequences she let me just I'm going to move the mic away here's what she did she you know when she gets frustrated sometimes she goes she did that but it was her saliva was definitely at the forefront of her teeth and so it definitely ricocheted into my face babe she knows better than that yeah no for sure she knows better than that and like it and then the thing was how she reacted afterwards and we were like, say, sorry to, but it wasn't even this dissitting. It was she had done something wrong first.
Starting point is 00:14:49 And then she went in a room and slammed the door. That's true. And then remember how she like sometimes will talk about? She was asking for it. She was like a lot of things. And then Stratton is like screaming and crying. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I am the worst mom ever. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:04 And to be honest, I went to my mentor, Elizabeth. And we met and I asked her, I said, if your kids turn out to be jerks, whose fault is it? And she said, it's yours. She's like, it's your fault. And I was like, okay, I need to hear that. Thank you. Because I'm like questioning over here, I'm like, okay, like, how much responsibility do I really have over these little souls? Yeah. And like, because I have to say, you know, I feel like, like the reason I'm a believer or like I have a faith is like, yes, like, my parents took me to church. But like honestly,
Starting point is 00:15:44 it was bigger than my parents. Like it was honestly more so through my church and like my community and like the things that I was around than my parents. So sometimes I don't put as much pressure on myself because I'm like, because they're going to have outside influences too. Like it's not all up to me if they're good or bad. And then Elizabeth was like, no,
Starting point is 00:16:03 it's your responsibility. And like it does have to be taken seriously. So I felt validated in my feelings. Like I felt validated in my feelings that. that this was serious and it is a big deal to leave them. And it is a big deal to follow through with my punishment. Because like, let's be real. It is so much easier to just say,
Starting point is 00:16:25 oh, you sat in daddy's face. Don't do that again. Let's go to Target. Like that would have been the ideal scenario for everyone. But instead, it's like we had to fight this uphill battle and swim upstream. And like because we didn't go target, then Stratton started crying.
Starting point is 00:16:39 And she's upset for the rest of it. I want to go to Target. I mean, for an hour, they're upset because we didn't go to Target. And like, there's so many times I just want to tap out and be like, dang, let's just go to Target. Well, it's like the, it's like the power. It's so funny. We are always like learning the same thing at the same time. It's so funny, the power of these like micro moments because there are so many times they're fighting.
Starting point is 00:17:00 And it's like, they'll work it out, you know? Yeah. But it's so important to like lean in for five minutes to each of these micro moments. Because the amount that you lean in or don't lean in, literally is shaping their character for right now. I mean, Stella acted amazing yesterday and today. And I feel like it's because we've been telling her, we're like, when we didn't go to Target,
Starting point is 00:17:24 I feel like that was like a huge learning lesson for her. Because I told her, I said, Stella, you have not been a good girl. You sland her door. You've been screaming at Mommy. And you spat in daddy's face. Good girls go to Target and you have not been a good girl. I said bad girls will stay at home.
Starting point is 00:17:39 We're going to go home. we're going to eat dinner and go night night and that's just what happens you know and it's like mommy I've been such a good girl I'm not spitting I'm not hitting like she's so proud of herself and she's like doing a good job and and I said great okay you know what it would be really fun like since if you go to school and we listen to our teachers and we do a good job like let's go to down to play later and we'll go to the playground and we'll go do something fun because we'll get to celebrate how good you like how amazing you've been and you've been listening and yeah and so it's like yeah these they really do like it's changed everything yeah can i tell you something else that we
Starting point is 00:18:14 should talk about that's going to change everything yeah it's so funny we're talking about parenting because i wrote some notes that i wanted to talk to you about live oh okay i'm i wrote down oh maybe i need some parenting books maybe oh no no no no no no sound off in the comments of oh your favorite parenting book okay here's my nose because you kind of just think as you grow older like it'll just come to you but like it really doesn't so here's what I wrote down tell Danny we should move to the suburbs okay okay let me let me tell you why how I got here okay I watched this documentary highly endorsed it's kind of boring but good message it's called chasing childhood okay and this documentary talks a lot this documentary I think it's the main sort of host
Starting point is 00:19:03 is someone who wrote a book called the free range child And the whole concept of this whole documentary is that over the past two or three generations, like if you were a kid raised in like the 40s or 50s, you would kind of be in this place where you could run outside as long as the dinner bell didn't go off at seven. I mean, back in my day, I was running around just knocking on my friend's doors. No, but truly, like you could walk to school and you had these kind of milestones in your childhood where it's like, oh, when I'm 12, I can walk myself to school. Or when I'm 12, I can babysitter.
Starting point is 00:19:34 When I'm eight, I can do this, right? And it talks about a lot. I would never let my child walk to school. No, hold on. Hold on. Now we live in such a fearful generation that kids are coddled for too long. And so we kind of deal with what we're dealing with now. But the whole purpose of this is the importance of like outdoor play, which I've talked about a lot.
Starting point is 00:19:58 I've thought about me growing up in the suburbs and you growing up in the city. Oh my God. I wasn't like that much in the city. though. We still had backyards. I just think that... It's very much like where we're at now. My opinion. Right. So we are at a place and time in our lives where where we decide to live and move is going to dictate like the future of our child's life because they will either be raised on an acre or two where they can like run around outside and like mom and dad don't
Starting point is 00:20:29 have to supervise them. Wait, I ran around outside and I grew up in the city. There was a creek. and we went to the creek all the time. We ran all over the place. We go to the school and like, I don't think you've ever seen a creek in your life. Oh my God. I'm going to be honest with you. No, I will show you the creek.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Like I found some pretty cool spots in my neighborhood. We had a hideout. We built a hideout. And we would like hide all this stuff there. Like talk about the boys that we liked and stuff. Okay. Well, so that's what I did too. But like where did you do that?
Starting point is 00:21:01 In the creek in my neighborhood. Where was this creek? I know where you lived. It has like a lot. Like we have a creek in our neighborhood. Right there. Okay. My neighborhood, even though it was in the city, we had a creek.
Starting point is 00:21:13 And we had like parks and we go sneak out and meet at the park. Okay. So our childhoods were not that different. For some reason in my mind, though, I think that if we move to the suburbs, I think that we would have more space for our kids to interact and play outside. Okay. Can you explain? I don't think that like moving and having half an acre more is going to change that much
Starting point is 00:21:40 about a child or about a person. Oh, really? Because like I now if they grew up milking cows and, you know, getting chickens and stuff and riding horses. Yeah, I feel like that's a little different. But no. Okay. I mean, look at you and me.
Starting point is 00:21:54 It's not great. And we both have different. I think you are way more high stress than I am. And I don't want to say it's because you're raised in a city. But I have some theories. that it could be. The congestion of having someone around us all the time. You know, babe, this is, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Now you're talking nature versus nurture and I'm just, I'm not sold. That is so interesting. We've never realized this, but that I think is the biggest difference in our philosophies. Nature versus nurture? Yes. Like you think it's more about. I think that our kids will be a product of the environment that they are raised. And I'm nurture.
Starting point is 00:22:34 You think you're nurture, I'm nature. Yes. Yes. Right. Wait. No, I think that I'm nature and you're a nurture because I'm nature because I'm like, it matters like the environment that you're raised in. You would be nurturing.
Starting point is 00:22:49 No, because you're like, it doesn't. Nature is you're born that way. Nature is I'm born this way. I, it is what it is. Nurture is like you're that way because of the way that you were raised. So you're nurture. I'm nature. I'm nurture.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Yeah. No. And I think a lot of my stress as a parent comes from. me being so pro-nurture is that like I feel like you feel sometimes where I'm like oh my gosh well like if we moved to this neighborhood then our kids are going to go down this school path and this is going to happen which I think is a fair argument to a certain extent right yeah sorry I'm just thinking about like how stupid we were at one point you remember when we first started dating and we were like we're going to live in a high rise our whole do you remember this we were like we're going to have
Starting point is 00:23:28 kids and like live in a high rise I never remember that era do you remember that living in Austin Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying is like, I think that one day we will look back and be like, can you believe that we wanted to raise our kids in the city of Dallas instead of prosper? Oh my gosh. He acts like where we live is like New York City. It's not. We live in a neighborhood with an amazing school district. There's creeks. There's beautiful parks.
Starting point is 00:23:54 So many families live here. It's just the fact that each lot that the houses are on are like, they're probably half. I don't know, like a third of an acre, fourth of an acre. Like, there's small lots. Haley? Haley, are you over there? She grew up on a farm. See, now you're going to extreme.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Come on to the podcast. Haley, you grew up on a farm. Yes. Do you feel like that drastically changed your life? A thousand percent. Yeah. Okay. What are the pros of growing up on land and in a farm?
Starting point is 00:24:24 I don't know. I think your imagination is so big when you're just out and there's, you don't really have anything as far as like, I didn't like really watch TV or get on my phone. Like we were just outside all the time playing and just like I remember literally doing yeah, just random like we we had imagination and like characters in our head and we would just do random things. So that's probably one point.
Starting point is 00:24:49 But also I feel like like the work ethic like I had to go out and do like chores every day. Right. Not that you can't do them in a house in the city, but it's just different like your hands on. So not to convince you. But pull the, pull the mic back to Danny. Danny, when is the last time you saw a star? Truly. I mean, I have some jewelry that has stars on it.
Starting point is 00:25:11 No, Danny. When is the last time you looked up and you saw the stars? Okay. Like, this is a stupid question. Like, who cares? You can't see it because the light pollution. Okay. So if I see a star, I'm going to become a better person and less stress.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Okay. Turn the bike back to it. Haley. Haley, is there something about being outside? at night and being able to look up and see the stars that kind of make you understand how small we are and like how it does create a connection like with yourself and the divine, right? Be honest. I mean, yeah. That's what I think you're saying imagination. Yeah. I'm saying like, I think that it helps your brain develop in your childhood to be able to be like what like I
Starting point is 00:26:00 I remember in Rockwall, like going into my backyard, Danny thinks it was a farm. It was two acres. Going into my backyard and being like, oh my gosh, like one day I'm going to live in a city and like, who do I want to be and what am I going to do? And like, how am I going to get there? And you just like, you just dream more. I don't know how to explain. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:19 The fact that you think that us city slickers don't dream big too. Like I had the same dreams too. I had the same imagination. I went to a very average public school where there's 700 kids in each grade and I'm like, one day I'm gonna move to New York and I'm gonna be the editor of 17 magazine. Like literally, I had the same dreams too.
Starting point is 00:26:42 And yeah, maybe I'm not looking at the stars, but you know I'm looking at opportunity because it's right down the street and I'm in the city and there's people around me that are doing the same thing. Like I just don't think that that would have made that big of a difference. Like I had an imagination too. I started making YouTube videos
Starting point is 00:26:57 when I was 19. I started making home videos when I was like 12, like walking around the house, like filming things with this big camcourt, you know, these big recorders. Like I had the same exact dreams. I think cities breed competition really well because you're around so many other people. Yeah, we're like you, it's survival of the fittest. Yes. So back to Haley. Here's my last question. Then we'll end on this. Do you feel that you were prepared for how hard and scrappy you have to be in this world growing up in a suburb or on a farm. Definitely not a suburb, a farm for sure. But yeah. So you do feel prepared? I feel prepared, but I also feel like there's benefits of being raised in a city. Like, I do feel like my people
Starting point is 00:27:44 skills weren't as good as other peoples. Like, I had to learn that. And then I just had to learn things that maybe, I think there's pros and cons to that's truly. I feel. I feel like I was not prepared for how big the world was. How many people were. How many people. had the same dreams as me. Like I thought it was very unique to me. And I was, I mean, honestly, every bit of competition and survival, I learned from Danny. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:07 My city girl. Yeah. I never saw a star. Thank you for a bit. No stars. Okay. I'm leaving. You know, I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:28:15 There are pros and cons to being raised in the city versus being raised on a farm. And it's like it'll work for every family. I'm just talking about us personally. I feel like I would be fine on the suburbs, just on the outskirts of the city. Yeah. But like I don't think I could grow up on a farm. Oh yeah. I mean, I'm not built for a farm either probably.
Starting point is 00:28:39 I'm more so talking about it either. It's that time of year again. The holidays are nearly upon us. And with the chaos that they can bring, plus are usually busy schedules. The company was founded by a mother who was having trouble with her son's sleeping schedule. She was exhausted, completely desperate for sleep, and willing to try anything. Starting point is 00:31:58 You know someone the other day, never mind. You can say it. No, I'll say it. You can say it when all the Mormon mom and mom said that he looked Mormon. They did say I looked Mormon. Macy and Michaela and Taylor, Frankie Fall, they were all like, he looks so Mormon. I was like, it's the hair. But honestly, I kind of took it as a compliment.
Starting point is 00:32:15 I know. You love that vibe. Like, he's very clean. He had just gotten a haircut. Yeah. His hair was standing like five inches off of his. head. Like they kind of all, but not like a normal Mormon. You look like a BYU. I know. I, it's so funny. I didn't mean to go in looking so Mormon, but I definitely fit the part.
Starting point is 00:32:33 You know, I do want to talk about that episode. Yeah. The feedback on that episode was so positive, even though the audio was off. The feedback and the message was there. That's what I wanted. And so I think that's all that really matters. And even after we interviewed them, they all said, like, wow, like we got to talk about things that we've never talked about. So if you all haven't listen to it. I would go listen to it because what the feedback I'm getting the most is I am so like I feel like I got to know those girls on a different level and how they were portrayed on the show. Not to say they were portrayed negatively, but I think maybe even like growing up in the LDS community on that show was portrayed negatively. And they got to actually highlight their beliefs, why they do what they do, why they
Starting point is 00:33:13 don't do some of the things that they're supposed to do. Like it was all very mature and thoughtful. And that day I was kind of having an off day and you did a really good job at asking really great questions that like you stood firm in your faith as a Christian but you listened and gave grace and respected and just tried to like learn more about them in a way that I feel like no other interviewer probably could because honestly it's just because of our personal experience I think because of our faith and our religion and our interest in getting to know them. I think we're saving America. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I think we're for sure saving America because we are...
Starting point is 00:33:51 De Amplins for president. Because we're having nuanced conversations beyond clickbait and beyond your perception of what the media tells you about a person. And that's the thing. And I have to, I'm going to give a shout out because I would love for you guys to help me get, I mean, and if she doesn't want to come on the episode or her husband doesn't,
Starting point is 00:34:12 I would love nothing more than to get Jen Affleck and Zach, her husband, on the podcast. because I feel like there is a side of their relationship that we are not seeing or maybe there's like a side of like an insecurity or something that like was not portrayed on the show. And I would love to have a sit down conversation with both of them because I think that they are the perfect example of marriage is not perfect. Yet we're going to work through it and we have to respect each other and we love each other. And like yes, maybe he was a little controlling. And yes, maybe I haven't put the right boundaries up. But like,
Starting point is 00:34:47 just because that happened doesn't mean we're going to get a divorce. Like it's that is where everybody is so quick to jump these days. He's controlling. Leave him. Like there is still opportunity to acknowledge your faults on both sides. Because let's say like she's not perfect either. We don't maybe know her faults. But like she's not perfect either. And that's what's so beautiful about a relationship is that it's a perfect way to show and be an example for your faith and what you believe, which is just grace at the end of the day. Like we're we had to give each other grace because none of us are perfect. And I have to say, I was really disappointed in some of the DMs that I got that were like, I can't believe you platform these people or I can't believe like you did. I'm like, did you even listen to the episode. Like to me,
Starting point is 00:35:29 you're what's wrong with the internet. Like when you come at me and you're upset because I have a conversation with someone that lives a little bit differently than me, I am not going to like my faith is my faith. I am not going to bow down. Like I'm sorry. There is nothing. probably that could convince me otherwise. But that doesn't mean I can't sit down with people that live differently and try to understand them. And honestly, the last thing I want to do on this podcast is just have perfect people. Like I want to have people that make mistakes. Like Taylor, Frankie Paul was like, you know, I was involved in a swinging scandal. And I have, I think she said something that she's like a hard time dating and finding the right guys. She like reflected and she was like,
Starting point is 00:36:09 you know, I think it's because I have daddy issues. And. And. Because my dad wasn't around growing up. And she reflected on all these things that are so extremely relatable. What, you want to have somebody on the podcast that's literally perfect that had the perfect family and perfect? Yes, it's great to learn from them too. But there's nothing more special than seeing the before and after transformation that somebody goes through because of their faith or what they learned. Like, that's where true inspiration comes from. And so why is that a bad thing sometimes to have people that have different experiences on?
Starting point is 00:36:41 I think it's like a really great thing. And I want to encourage that culture for the rest of our interviews too. It's like, I am not a Christian podcast that's just going to invite Christians on. No, I will sometimes. And it will be great to have those conversations where we align in our faith and we're going in our faith together. But there's a lot of. Yeah, there's a lot of podcasts that. Yeah, Carl Lentz.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Like, yeah, I'm getting people like that for sure. But there's a lot of podcasts already that are doing that. That is not my goal with our podcast. Yeah. And so I want to be able to have conversations with people that aren't. voting the same way that I am voting or maybe or living a totally different life. Maybe I get Ballerina Farms. I'll never milk cows. Like it's just it's not on my to do list. I don't care. But I'd love to learn from her, you know, what she'd, you know what I mean? No, I totally preach
Starting point is 00:37:28 Preach Queen. So yeah, I was really just, I was really triggered and just annoyed with some of those DMs because I'm like, this is just so obvious that you didn't listen to the episode. Two things. One is I definitely think our people should go DM Jen and Zach. I don't. I'm like, I don't. So not to be conspiracy about this, but I don't think Hulu wants them on our show or them to do a lot of media because I think that that's what they're using to sell season two. I think they left season two. I could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I think I haven't seen her in the promo first or like, I feel like she moved to New York because he went to med school there. And I think that maybe they're like not on the show anymore, but I could be wrong. I don't know about that. That sounds very controlling of him. Yeah, I know. Or maybe not. But maybe not. See, this is what we need to know.
Starting point is 00:38:15 We need to sit down. What's interesting about a lot of these interviews is the hoops that we have to jump through to get these people on. Yeah. It's like a whole, it's like you kind of have to sell yourself a little bit. I also forgot. So we went from, we had to do that day trip to Utah. So we put our kids to bed that night. Well, no, no.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Let me tell you what actually happened. Okay. Because we weren't planning on that trip. Remember? So we had Taylor Frankie Paul and Macy. Can I tell you funny story really quick? Okay. This really happened.
Starting point is 00:38:49 And I don't know, like, I was actually like worried about myself. Like I went to baggage claim when we got home from Cincinnati and I couldn't find the baggage claim. And I could not remember for a solid two minutes where I came from. I was like looking at the screen at the arrival screen. I was like, wait, was I in Chicago or like. Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City. Austin.
Starting point is 00:39:12 And I, it took me two minutes to recover that I was in Cincinnati because I was like, like it is, why was I in Cincinnati? Yeah. It's been a lot of places in the past week or so. But honestly, like, have I been more forgetful lately? No. No.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Oh, it like scared me. Oh, I do stuff like that on the daily. Really? Oh, it like really scared me. No, like I forgot. I literally. Okay. Haley, I don't know if you remember this.
Starting point is 00:39:39 We were looking at the screen. I can't remember. You know what? I forgot the other day that I was like, this is so bad. Do you remember when I lived with Brighton, the street we lived on?
Starting point is 00:39:47 I could not remember the street, that street name. And I was like, I'm losing it. But I do this stuff all the time. Yeah, why would you remember that though? I was trying to remember
Starting point is 00:39:54 because my friend, Shauna lives over there. Yeah. And somebody was asking for her address and I couldn't remember her street name. So I was going to look up Cal like that street name and look on maps and then find her street name.
Starting point is 00:40:08 And I couldn't remember. Anyway. I live there like, years ago. We need to start taking Lions Main. It's good for memory. Okay. So this is what's so interesting about the last couple of weeks. We weren't supposed to go to Salt Lake City.
Starting point is 00:40:20 We were having Taylor Frankie Paul and Macy, no, Taylor Frankie Paul and Michaela had committed to coming on De-influenced. They were flying here on Monday. So we always knew that we had them. We knew we had them for about two weeks. And like we even like kind of teased it on the on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:40:36 We were like, you're not going to believe who we have. We're so excited. And on Friday evening, we're at the playground, the indoor playground with our kids. And we get this email. And we had just relaunched our podcast that day. And in the relaunch, we teased, oh, my gosh, we have the most amazing guests. We get an email from their managers saying they can no longer come to Dallas. We are like so bummed. And we're like, oh, my gosh. Later that night, we get an email saying they'll still do the episode, but you have to fly to Salt Lake City to do that. So Jordan and I Friday night, but we have to fly out on Sunday, right?
Starting point is 00:41:14 No, Monday. Monday. Yeah. And so we're like, okay, we don't have child care. How are we going to figure this out? Like, not only that, the flights were, for some reason, outrageous, like, so expensive. And all of them started getting spoiled out really fast. We had to bring our team.
Starting point is 00:41:30 And so, like, literally we turned down the interview because we're like, we just with our kids, there's no way we can make this happen. I told Katie, like, on our team, like, three times. I was like, we can't. I'm sorry, we can't. Like, it's not going to happen. And then, like, last minute, like, I get this inkling and I'm like, we have to go. We have to go to Salt Lake City. So that's why we ended up flying to Salt Lake City last minute. Last minute, we did like a day trip there. Then got back from that, went straight to Chicago, got back from that, went straight to Cincinnati. We were supposed to go to Austin yesterday. Had to cancel that trip because of some last minute emergencies. And then this weekend I was supposed to go to the Amazon conference in Las Vegas had to cancel that because of like some last minute family stuff. And so, yeah, it's been a, it's been a wild. We say this every October, though. September October, we say this every year. Q3, Q4.
Starting point is 00:42:17 But, you know, one of my favorite parts about the whole experience was getting swig. I tried a lot of flavors because they were delivered very late. And so, like, all the girls had their favorite orders. So it was like Dr. Pepper with vanilla. And because they were all, like, they delivered late, like, basically I got them all. So I had like six swigs and I was just like just trying one after the other. You know what my favorite one was? I'll just tell you.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Diet Coke with lemon and lime. It's like what I always drink. They were all too sweet. I don't like them. Oh. Sorry. The ratios were off. I liked the lemon lime but I didn't like the ones that had like vanilla and Dr.
Starting point is 00:42:56 pepper and then we got into that Uber and it was like one of those big swigs. And you remember the whole thing like we dropped the whole thing in the car. Yeah. And then Danny like it was so awkward. Danny like made us pull over and she wanted to do like laughing gas at one of these like Botox places. I was like Danny we're going home to our kids and she was like I just want to get hi yeah honestly yeah being pregnant that sounds just like me can you be on laughing gas when you're pregnant? Probably not. Probably not yeah. Probably not good for the baby. Yeah you can't do much so that
Starting point is 00:43:23 would make sense but yeah like it was I you know I can't say that we're all going to be best friends but I have been texting macy Michaela. Oh no way yeah I mean not like not about anything like crazy but you just tell them about her mom talk bundle okay mason macaela if you're listening i'm thinking and taylor taylor taylor for you paul she's just taylor i feel like is what do you call it like she's like she's like tired and like the popular girl that's like hard to reach you know like where i like don't want to annoy her you know what i mean like i'm like mason macaela like my girls already and then i feel like with taylor i'm like i don't want to like overstep i feel like so many people are like just yeah you know you're like you're like working your way in yeah i'm like i have to be cool
Starting point is 00:44:04 Like I don't want to push too hard because I feel like she is she's one of those people that's like would shut you out. It's like. It's like you imagine those TikToks where it's like they're like all appearing because they're like walking in a circle. Like I can just imagine you pregnant like just walking through. You're like the fourth character. On that episode I'm like, so like what do you do to enter like the mom talk community? Like how do you qualify asking for a friend? No, I could never dance like that.
Starting point is 00:44:28 I tried one time. It didn't work for me. I like when TikTok is. Stop. I know. We've already told the story. I know. I'm going to do. So this is Macy, Michaela and Taylor.
Starting point is 00:44:39 I'm thinking, so all of you guys wear hair extensions, okay? Divi scalp serum is perfect for people that wear hair extensions. I got a lot of my hair loss damage from traction alopecia from the tapin hair extensions because I tried those
Starting point is 00:44:54 when I started losing my hair because I wanted to make it look fuller. Now I only do clippins because I probably would never do tapins again or long-term extensions because like I'm so scared. but when I do wear clippins, I will put like a little scalp serum
Starting point is 00:45:08 like where it's about to attach because it's so good for your scalp to do that. So I'm thinking since they all do the hair extensions, we do a mom talk bundle. And we could do the dry shampoo and the, or no, we'll do maybe the hair mask and the scalp serum because the hair mask, since their hair that they're wearing isn't like actually attached to their head,
Starting point is 00:45:27 it gets very dry. So we come out with the mom talk bundle and then we get together. And then here's one. other genius idea. This is Taylor. This is for you. So we'll come, we'll have an event in Dallas. We can even partner with like a salon that does hair extensions. We could get Jess in here. You know, we do something like a pop up with Jess. And then at the end of the night, I bring in three bachelors for Taylor Frankie Paul. And I do matchmaker for her. And we do a quick matchmaker.
Starting point is 00:45:55 It's like an expedited version. You know, it's like, who's behind the curtain and like, you know, that type of thing. And then we pick one guy and then we send them out on a date. We follow them. and we record the whole thing. Yeah. And then the next day we'll have a discount. It's called the mom time bundle. Can I tell them my idea? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:17 Can you really top that? No, I really feel like I can. It was denied. It was said it was too controversial. Okay. Do you remember? I told you this idea. Babe, this is so bad that you're about to say this, but yes, say it.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Okay. It's so bad that this is like, this is what could have happened if you weren't very to me. What he's about to say. So here's what I was going to do. My campaign pitch was I was going to convince Taylor Frankie Paul to put on a bald cap. So it looks like she shaved her head. And then I was going to fly paparazzi out to Salt Lake City.
Starting point is 00:46:51 And they were going to be like, all the TMZs and daily mails are going to be like, oh, my gosh. She's in crisis. And then she would appear in a divvy ad with her full hair holding all of our. products and she would say, gotcha, period. The future is scalp health. Yeah. So we get impressions. We get clickbait. My goal in 2025, and I'm, I'm okay saying this because if I fail, I want to fail publicly is for Divi. Please don't. Please don't again. Is for Divi to win a Cannes Lions award. Let me tell you. It ain't going to be with that because then you're making fun of Britney Spears and you're making fun of mental health. I wasn't making fun of anything. I was bringing awareness.
Starting point is 00:47:34 How dare you? How dare you? I can't right now. Yeah, that would not go over well. You don't think? But I appreciate the out of the box thinking. Yeah, it's definitely out of the box. And I don't want to like, I don't want to.
Starting point is 00:47:51 You know what's so funny is I think she would totally be down too. Like I can imagine her sitting here and be like, listen, I got this idea and she'd be like, duh, that's great. She's like, let's do it. She's like, where is it? Let me put the ball cap on. No, maybe. I think she's smarter than you think.
Starting point is 00:48:07 No, I think that's why she'd do. She'd be like, yeah, everyone's going to be talking about me. Totally. Put that bald cap on me. She just seems like she knows her character and she doesn't care what people think. Yeah. And I, you know, like, so badly, I wish that I was more like that sometimes. No, she is for sure that.
Starting point is 00:48:25 She's like built for the internet. Like I wasn't. I'm actually secretly way too sensitive. But she's like so perfect for it. it and I just, man. No, I think she even like, I think it was probably her idea to be like, let's, well, I think she was also pregnant and probably really tired and going through a lot. But I think it was probably her idea to keep the two other swingers off the show, the two
Starting point is 00:48:50 blondes. No, they turned it down. Oh, they turn it down? Yeah. I think it's going to be her idea to bring them back in season two. No, if they come back like, oh, it's so good. If you want, if you want season two to hit, you have two cards to play. You got Jen and Zach and no one hearing from them.
Starting point is 00:49:05 And then it's like, oh my gosh, they come back in probably like episode four. Or you got the two blondes. Wait, can I just? Oh, wait, wait, wait. Or the swinging husbands. Well, they're all divorced. Well, I know, but they're probably going to see. With their new spouses.
Starting point is 00:49:20 That would be good too. Okay. Yeah. We should be produced. Okay. Really. We kind of are. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Wait. I do want to move on from this because I'm scared that maybe some people haven't listened to This is so crazy. If you watch the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and you watch The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, I have to connect the dogs for you guys really fast because I just learned this a couple days ago. If you know who Angie Carrington is on the Housewives of Salt Lake City, her ex-husband is Brett who's married to Demi. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:49:55 The shows are actually connected. So when you're watching Demi with her husband, you're actually watching. Angie Carrington's ex-husband. It's so wild. You kind of say this sometimes. You always preface. You're like, I'm not a big,
Starting point is 00:50:08 like, reality TV girl. But, like, I think that we should acknowledge that you, you might be at this point. You're big on love is blind. You're big on Love Island. No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:50:18 I watched one season of Love Island. You've been binging the housewives of Salt Lake City, which was not for market research. Because we've been, we have been, like, on the road a lot. And I watch it in the airplane or when I'm in the Uber.
Starting point is 00:50:30 It's okay. Like, I'm just saying you, you're kind of like you're playing with the gateway drugs to like becoming a Bravo girly. No, because I honestly, I tried.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Like I tried to watch some of the other housewives. I couldn't get into them. I tried to watch too hot to handle. I couldn't get into it. Like I tried to actually watch another Love Island, uh, season like the one with Molly May and I couldn't get into it. Like,
Starting point is 00:50:52 no, honestly, I've been watching it. I watched monsters on Netflix. That's really dark though. Yeah, this one episode that's like a 60 minute episode that's always. one scene on monster. It's actually like,
Starting point is 00:51:04 like one take? Yeah. Oh, that is super crazy. Yeah, it's really crazy. Like he kind of has this like monologue and he's, he's, and it's one shot the entire time. Oh. Really interesting. But it's basically where he's going through like the story of what they did. And honestly, one of those shows that I had to like, I had to fast forward through a couple of the episodes. It was pretty dark. But no, and I've been listening to my podcast. I'm over here getting edjimicated. I'm telling you. Oh, you download a chat chbt on your phone this is big she's a big Wikipedia girlie you'll me to look at my history of chat gbt yeah i really do i would die to see that but she was on wikipedia and i told her
Starting point is 00:51:44 we were talking about the jfk assassination i was telling her hey we don't really know what happened she was like well Wikipedia said this and i was like exactly that's totally bought and paid for that i don't believe that there's a conspiracy yeah there's a and i think jack ruby yeah i don't think there is but like i understand why you would think that but i don't think well you never watching the movie. We were trying to watch a movie called JFK by Oliver Stone. And it's like kind of older, but it was like all about the one prosecutor who had the one case where they tried that the official narrative of the JFK assassination. And all I'm saying is it presents some pretty weird points. I'm not taking a side. I'm just saying pretty weird. But can I tell you? Yeah, I want to know
Starting point is 00:52:28 your Chachibati history. I should screenshot this. I can't. What I looked up today, P. Diddy allegations overview. I said, what are the P. Dilly allegations? Because I was trying to understand what's going on there. Yeah, it's really hard to understand.
Starting point is 00:52:45 It's not good. Three days ago, Singapore laws. That's because I told you. And I said, is it illegal to chew gum in Singapore? Are Singapore laws strict? I'm a big. Is Singapore safe to visit? What happens if a child choose gun in Singapore?
Starting point is 00:53:05 It's illegal there. And then I wrote, does Trump or Harris want to end the war? Honestly, guys, this is why it's so important that AI not be biased. And I said, where does Lemonon sit with the Israel policy and conflict? Wow. So you're like really using this. That's great, though, because then you can chat back. And then I said, this was the other day, we're staying.
Starting point is 00:53:28 right now in the beautiful Cincinnati and most of the historic downtown was donated by the taff family how did the taff family make their wealth babe i asked that i know but that was just what we did and then the other one that we looked up was what happened if you did not milk a cow do they suffer well okay let me let me tell the story and then does their milk cycle dry up if they're not milked in a long time the story here is daddy and i we're sitting in the the taff hotel or whatever in Cincinnati and there's this giant picture of their family cow and on the description it says this cow was amazing because it produced up to 7.5 gallons a day and I go Danny I go who what if they what if no one milks a cow are they suffering and Danny was like yeah I'm sure
Starting point is 00:54:21 it's like humans yeah if you don't milk me and it it will hurt yeah and then we found out that cows can get mastitis like I did which is crazy and it's just crazy and it's It's like unfair. It's unfair. And then we were like, this is why we need to be responsible if we ever do buy cows, which we won't because they can get my status and they need to be milk. We talked about the farm again and we were like, it's a bigger subtility. We can't be having cows on our farm suffering because Stella doesn't want to milk it.
Starting point is 00:54:46 But we also did learn because you thought that cows always had milk, but they have a milk cycle. Yeah. Yes. So when you stop milking them, their supply does dry up. They'll dry up. Just pretty one of curious. I was just making sure that the tax. Half's family cow wasn't suffering carrying all this milk.
Starting point is 00:55:02 But anyway, I will say that all of Danny's Singapore inquiries is that I am on a Singapore kick right now. I am fascinated by the country. It's crazy. They went from jungle to like second wealthiest country or third or something in the world. And all of it was from their leader, Lee Kuan Yu. So I'm reading his biography right now. I'll talk about it in a different podcast.
Starting point is 00:55:27 No, it's okay. Just give us a little brief and tell us about the, the gum chewing. So there's good policies and bad policies. One of their policies that I really like is that they are very harsh on anti-corruption. If you traffic drugs in, you could get the death. No, no. Okay. Well, that's the separate. I'm talking about government corruption. So they have a bureau where they basically have a strict oversight over all their government officials and they have a really unique policy where they will pay their government officials like a million dollars a year. so that if they are caught being corrupted,
Starting point is 00:56:01 there are like very strict, like seven year prison sentences. I really like that because it keeps the government really acting on behalf of its people. But the controversial side is they are very probably too authoritarian when it comes to like what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Freedom of speech. I think they clamp down on. And then their laws are crazy where it's like if you're chew gum, you can have like a thousand dollar fine. Yeah. But here's the thing. You can chew gum.
Starting point is 00:56:27 you can't sell it or import it, but you can actually chew it. That's why I chat chivited it. You can chew, but it's if you don't dispose of it properly. Got it. So then that's why I chat jibati and I said, what if a child is caught?
Starting point is 00:56:41 Because how are you supposed to like, like it's a child? Prison. I was like, what happens if a child choose dumb? Because the reason I was thinking that, I was like, if we take our kids to ever visit Singapore, I was like, my child could end up a jail because they throw their candy on the street.
Starting point is 00:56:56 Yeah. So the other thing, thing I read about it is that, and I got this from Reddit because people are pretty honest about it, they said it's kind of boring. Like once you, yeah, once you see everything, you see everything, like there's just not, not much there. Because people are so scared. People are so scared. And it's extremely human just because it was like prior a jungle. I watched, I watched half of crazy rich agents, too, that movie. You love that movie. I was dying laughing. You love that movie. I was dying laughing. Almost as much as you like wedding crashers. No, I don't. I don't. I don't
Starting point is 00:57:27 think either of them are like that hilarious or that good in Jordan is just I just I love Asian culture yeah Korean culture I love I love the Singapore you should have married an Asian girl no no no that's not what I'm saying okay I'm saying culture like the movies music I know K pop you love K pop I love K pop I'm obsessed with K pop I just am fascinated by the genre it's like putting rap and hip hop and R&B and banjos in a blender and just creating a masterpiece. I'll just give you a brief overview of Piedi
Starting point is 00:58:05 and then we don't we don't have to go into like the whole thing. But they're finding some very bad things on Piedi. He's a very guilty, naughty man and disgusting. He's like the Jeffrey Epstein of hip-hop. Yeah. Is that true though? I guess I'm not supposed to make any like allegations because like who knows. But yes, I think 10 women, 10 chat
Starting point is 00:58:27 Oh, okay, got it. 10 women have come forward saying that he like forced them to like perform sexual acts or do something that was like inappropriate. Tends a lot and then that video came out where he was like beating his wife or girlfriend at the time like that's pretty incriminating. Also the rumor is that he groomed to Justin Bieber. That's what I'm seeing a lot of and it's so hard because I feel like what is hard about this what's going on right now is that they're clipping things from like so long ago
Starting point is 00:58:55 and like trying to piece together this narrative that I just, I don't know what's true and what's not. Well, I think it's a fact that he has some pretty crazy parties. Does he have all that baby oil in his bathroom? Yeah, I saw the picture. Is that true? They found like it looked like hundreds of baby oil in his bathroom, which looks like he probably had it for his parties or something.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Like, because he has some pretty freaky parties where that's, which is a known fact, like all the celebrities come come out and say that he's these like crazy, like freaky parties where they do freaky things and maybe he bought those for like one of the parties which is disgusting and so yeah and then he tried to blame it on like Costco because you have order in bulk so all that's true like his lawyer literally said he buys it in bulk at Costco and Costco really made a statement I don't know what world no Costco literally came out and made a statement yeah I mean what world are we living in what do you mean like that's crazy I mean what I'm like, I don't care if you bought it in bulk or not.
Starting point is 00:59:56 That's disgusting. No, I just cannot believe his lawyer, like, tried to blame it on Costco. And then Costco responded. I'm like, this is the craziest internet drama I've ever seen. I heard that he's on suicide watch in jail right now. But I don't know if that's necessarily true or not. It kind of feels like it's giving Epstein vibes where we were hoping that we would like discover all these people that have.
Starting point is 01:00:23 been involved in sex trafficking or involved in these horrible things. And then, you know, you find out through going absolutely nothing. And I feel like that's what's going to happen again because Hollywood is just Hollywood. But like, I will say the one thing that I do want to be careful with in the future. So do you think he's an informant? Did he? Do you think he's an informant? That's what people. For the for who? Like, he's a federal informant. So basically like with Epstein, and this makes the most sense to me, like he probably worked for like some type of of intelligence operation. And so that's why they killed him.
Starting point is 01:00:56 And that's why he was able to get away with so much too. But like they're saying that they're saying that Diddy. And honestly, I. Oh, you think he's an informant like telling who else is associated with him? No, like he has been a federal informant like within the hip hop community for. You think that. I don't. That's what I'm.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Hey, listen. I'm not no conspiracy theorist here. I'm just, I'm just reporting what the internet's telling me here. But yes, that is one of the narratives is that he, is a federal informant and that he had a lot, he had a blackmail operation on like a lot of the hip hop. It would make sense. It makes a lot of sense. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. This is what I was going to say is you have a lot of celebrities that there's videos, pictures, you know, whether
Starting point is 01:01:38 is Jay-Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, whatever, all these big celebrities at his parties and there's pictures and videos of it. But the one thing I do want to be careful of just because they were there at the party. Sometimes maybe they didn't know everything he was doing behind the scenes. Like Ashton Coucher is getting in a lot of trouble right now for being associated. And I don't know all the logistics of that. Yeah, that's kind of what's hard is like now it's just going to be a domino effect. You've ever ever had one picture? Like there's there's a picture of Taylor Swift and P. Diddy. And people were like, I read the comments. People were like, she knew. She knew. And I was like. That's what the over internet is probably oversimplifying. That's where I think it gets like
Starting point is 01:02:12 damaging and wrong. So, but there are a couple of people who have been saying this for a long time, like 50 cent. Yes, yes. Fitty has been kind of been like out on P-Ditty. For sure. I think a lot of people, I mean, especially after Destiny. Oh, he has a Netflix documentary coming out. P-Ditty or 50-cent.
Starting point is 01:02:28 I'm sorry, 50 Cent on P-Ditty. That's about 50-cent. I mean, you met him. You know what's so weird is that he's like, no. Well, no, so when I met him, this is like, oh my gosh, like seven years ago, he was coming out with underwear that cupped your balls. Okay. Not a good luck.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Well, in light of everything these days. Good concept. I mean, like he, and there were a lot of journalists in the room. Wait, can I ask you a question? So underwear doesn't cup your balls? No.
Starting point is 01:03:02 So they just, so you're telling me they dingledoop? They dingle-toe. Again? Dingle-dupers. But I would think that the briefs are tied enough to where things are. Actually.
Starting point is 01:03:15 No, it's okay. I was just going to stand up and try and see. It's debatable. I will tell you later. I would think boxers would make it dingle-do. Because I wear briefs. I know, but briefs. I think that there's enough breathing space to where there's a...
Starting point is 01:03:27 There's a dingle-dooper. There's a dangle. There is a dangle. Is there a sway? Yeah, I would hate to be a boy. Anyway. Time me up for the dingle-dooper all day, but not that. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:03:40 No one could get 50 cent to focus. That's all I remember about him. Is that, like, he, there were a bunch of journalists in the room, excited to talk about his product and he They couldn't get him to what? Focus. And at one point he walked into a back room and turned on G unit music really loud and It's like hyping himself up.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Yeah, he was just like he was a wild guy. Funny. But he was actually nice. Interesting. Well, yeah, I mean, the future is not looking right for P. Diddy and he's a bad man. Is it, you really read he's on suicide watch? Because that's just never a good sign. That was a rumor that he's on suicide watch.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Oh, it's a rumor. So allegedly. Man, I hope we're not just wrong about all this. Well, you know, it's like... The baby oil is pretty suss. No, I saw that one myself. And Chachybt told me, so... So pro tip for Chachybtee users,
Starting point is 01:04:32 because Danny's about to drive a lot of new users, is I just want you to say how you prevent bias is you prompt ChachyBT to tell me this in the perspective of a conspiracy theorist. Tell me this in the perspective. of a conservative. Tell me the perspective of this in a Democrat so that you can get all sides, but you have to prompt it to not give you bias. So I could be just relaying all false information. Yeah, you're prompting games pretty weak right now. No, I'm going to tell you honestly what I did.
Starting point is 01:05:00 Do you want to know what I did? This morning, I woke up at 1 a.m. Remember I told you was up from 1 to 4? True. True. That's when I looked up all the P-Didi allegations on chat, CBT. And then I read a ton of articles and I went on TikTok. Okay. So you're multifaceted. I saw. I saw, some pretty reliable sources. TikTok, Wikipedia, chat, the whole story, and I listened to the toast about it. Okay, they're actually probably... They're very accurate.
Starting point is 01:05:24 They're very well read. Yeah, they're very well researched. So I feel confident about what I was saying. Yeah. So anyway, this has been a very random, but great episode, in my opinion. People are loving the rebrand. Our first episode has 100,000 listeners across streaming platforms
