Hello and welcome back to your favorite podcast, De-imluence.
Today's going to be very interesting because we are just winging it, y'all.
We are free-balling it.
Free balling it.
Yeah, we did no idea is what we're going to talk about.
But I did bring this game.
Well, let me just clarify really fast.
We typically have a structure to our podcast because we do research and we have a brief
and we have this whole thing that like, you know, a lot of pre-production that goes into it.
Well, I'm going to be straight up.
We've been in Cabo.
we've been hanging in Cabo and so we don't have as much pre-production but sometimes these make for the best episodes
when you just let it flow you know I was kind of upset at first a little like oh man we have to do this
and then I was like you know what I bet it's the most fun we have on a podcast I bet we will connect in a way
that we've never connected before I know even after all that time in Cabo you know what I'm saying
that's what I feel and honestly I wouldn't trade it for the world because Cabo is
amazing. You think so? Yeah, that was so fun. Yeah. I was ready for like a, I was ready for a
Valentine's Day trip. Yeah. With some friends on the side. You were ready to ditch the kids.
No, I wasn't ready for to ditch the kids. No, you were. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay to have a life.
And you're also, the way you're sitting, your shoulders look really, because I think your,
your jacket is being pushed. Yeah, there you go. There you go. Yeah, no, I wasn't ready to leave the kids.
I, I very intentionally sat down with Stratton in Stella.
and I said, listen, Mommy and Daddy love each other so much that we need to go spin.
You did not do that.
I did that.
I did that, you liar.
That's such a liar, boo.
I did that with Stella.
I actually did do that.
You did?
With both of them.
Really, that's so funny.
I did that on my own accord, too.
I just want them to know.
I want them to grow up and know, like, you know, when we leave you guys for a couple
days, mommy and daddy, it's mostly because mommy and daddy love each other so much that they want
to be the perfect parents for both of you.
Not because we're,
leaving you to go have fun. It's because mom and daddy need that time together. I did the same thing.
I explained that to Stella. But honestly, they have a great time. I know. I come back and I'm like,
did you miss me? And they're like, yeah. No, they did miss us this time. They did. They did.
Stella, like, gave you a big hug. Oh, she was so ecstatic to see me. She was so excited.
It's because I also promised her seashells on, like, on return. And, but it was very unfortunate
because in Cabo there's no seashells. It's all rocks. It's like a rocky beach, you know. So I
to Amazon Prime some seashells back here.
And then unfortunately, out of all the packages that are sent to our house, the only one
that she opened was the one that had seashells in it.
So then I had to find an alternative gift, which was we stayed at Las Ventanus in
Latentanas.
La Ventanth.
In Kabul.
In Cabo and Ty Warner owns the resort and started Beanie Babies.
Yeah.
So I bought them both a Beanie Baby.
Thank goodness.
What if we would have stayed at like some guy that own knives?
Cutco.
That'd be like to come back with some knives.
That would have been just a mess.
Yeah.
I actually didn't know that Beanie Babes were still around,
but I'm glad that they are going strong.
Well, you know, Beanie Babies, it's like this phenomenon on YouTube.
You go through.
It's so fun.
You can connect with like your mom again through this.
Sorry.
That was really deep.
I just got back from meeting with my mentor.
That's where my mind went.
It's really...
I hope that there's room on the podcast for me to ask how you're meeting with your mentor with.
Yeah, okay.
So, anyway, you can go through your box of old Beanie Babies
and look up the value of each one and see if you're sitting on like a gold mine.
A lot of people are.
These like purple, the Princess Diana Beanie Baby.
Yeah.
Like you find those in Mint Condish.
you're like you're sitting on a hundred grand right there that's crazy and and alie who was on our
trip said that she had a purple diana bini baby the thing is though it had you have to make sure
that it was like one of the originals yeah which were like there were five no there was there was more
than that but i think like a hundred but um i doubt that she had maybe she did have the original
but like you also it would have to be like mint condition like no tears on the tag stills a tag
yeah no way looks no scratches on the eyeballs like it's
there's just.
Stratton got his being a baby.
Immediately just ripped the tag off.
Oh, immediately.
I was like, Stratton.
Stratton, come on.
I was like, come on.
This is a collector.
This blue weird dinosaur could be worth.
You know, something that my mom did that she still has in my closet upstairs or closet
in my bedroom from growing up is my mom when Barbie started coming out with like different
ethnicities.
My mom went and bought all of them and saved them all in my closet.
And those were like the Barbies I wasn't allowed to play with.
which is also kind of like discriminatory because it's like I was only allowed to play with the blonde beautiful Barbies.
Yeah.
Things that make you go, hmm.
And so I have all of those Barbies saved.
They were the more special Barbies.
And then I had cabbage patch baby dolls that I also was not allowed to touch.
Yeah.
It's 2024.
I bet there's great representation in Barbies now.
So they're probably not worth much.
There's, I don't think that they are.
But they are really cool to look.
at. Actually, they might be. You never know. Let's check. Let's check. Call your mom. Yeah.
Did you enjoy Cabo? I had a fabulous time in Cabo. I really enjoyed the time with the
couples, with the gals, with my boo-boo. Oh, I didn't tell you something, though. I got the most
sensual massage I've ever received. And I'm telling you, this man did things. He twisted me in
ways I've never been twisted before. Oh my gosh. Like the way he would stretch me. So I'm like,
okay, it's giving track. You know, it's giving like I'm working out. But then he would massage
where the tension was all the way up and down from my toes to my forehead was a continuous motion.
Yeah. It was a beautiful art. Sometimes I would peek, you know, because I'm like, what does he look like
right now? Because it's just so intense over here. And he would close his eyes. And he would close his eyes.
too. Like it was like this beautiful emotion like our bodies were moving in one. You know what's so
funny is I whisk you away to the beach. I invite good friends. I surround you with community.
We have a couple of great nights and I ask you how's Cabo and you bring up a one hour
sensual massage with some 20 year old Latino dude. He was it was actually like
not bad looking either.
Not as hot as you though.
Yeah, that makes me want to throw up in my mouth.
Bam, I'm kidding.
Are you serious?
No, I mean, I don't want to hear about it anymore, but like I'm fine.
Babe, you know, you're teasing.
I know you're teasing.
It didn't even get me going at all.
Just being honest.
I'm just kidding.
I mean, that was like the most descriptive.
Like, I feel like I was watching the, what's it called?
50 shades of gray just hearing you explain your freaking massage.
Honestly, it was so much that I was kind of uncomfortable.
You know, like I felt like I couldn't even relax.
Yeah, it was disgusting, right?
Yeah, I honestly.
It was a horrible experience.
No, I had to get out of my head and I kept having to be like, Danny, this is his job.
You know, it's like when a doctor sees your private parts and you're like, oh my God, oh my God.
But it's like, dude, they see like so many hoo-haz.
I just don't think that that's like how the male brain works though.
Yes, yes it is.
No, you, so we're about to go see Dr. Mike tonight.
he's going to look at my butt, remember?
Let me just tell you.
Dr. Mike, you know, Dr. Mike,
he, I have an appointment.
That's why we have to hurry up this podcast.
I got a steroid shot in my butt.
I had a pinched nerve about like six weeks ago.
So when I went to the doctor,
they told me to get a steroid shot.
And like, Jordan was in there.
They gave me muscle relaxers too,
but Jordan was in there.
I was like, do I have to get a steroid shot?
Is this really going to be?
make a difference. And the doctor was like, yes, like, you definitely need this. I'm like, okay,
well, because you know me. I'm just like so, I'm easily persuaded. And so, and also like a part
of me was like, you know, I love a good steroid shot. Like, maybe it'll give me like a boost.
Like, okay, fine. Yeah. And, um, they gave me a story shot in my bum. Well, they administered it
wrong. And it atrophied my muscle in my ass. And now I had this huge purple dimple in my butt.
And so I posted about online. Not that.
picture of my butt, but just the fact that this happened. And like a lot of you guys apparently
had the same thing happen where most people had this happen on their face because they go to
the dermatologist and they have a pimple and the dermatologist is like, oh, let me inject it with
a steroid. Well, then they leave a crater in their face because they administer it wrong. Like,
it's just so irresponsible in my opinion. And so like unnecessary. Just like let the, let the
pimple heal, you know, like don't cause permanent muscle damage.
Um, so anyway, uh, Dr. Mike DM me was like, oh, that's atrophy of the da, da, da, da,
it was probably administered into your skin. Like, come by and let me look at it and I can like help.
So I'm going, you know, because this is my moneymaker. I wonder if he, yeah, right.
If he, uh, if he'll have to do a fat graph.
I don't know. I've had so many graphs in my life. I've had a bone graft. I've had gum grafts.
I mean, they've all been in my mouth, really. Yeah. But I am a pro when it comes to the graphs. I don't
think they'll have to do any graphs, but there's, he said there's different things. And it's like,
how much do I really care? It's just annoying. Like, it's just annoying because I didn't even want
the thing in the first place. And it shows in my bikinis and my swimsuits. So it's like, ugh.
So mad. Like what, I'm like, what would Nikki Minaj do?
What? Oh, because her, it's her money maker. It's her money maker. I'm just teasing.
Let me ask you something. Did you feel like when we got back from Cabo, we got hit with a tidal wave of
work? This week is really irresponsible. It's irresponsible. It feels like for someone to have a week
like I have. No, I'm serious. I just went to and met with my mentor about this. Really? She said it was
inhumane. Yeah. And I raged in front of her. I was like, I'm so annoyed. Like, and then, you know,
she was like, I don't understand Danny how you don't have one hour out of the day to meet with me.
And I'm like, look at this. I put my phone. I'm like, you look. And she's like, ah, she's like,
it's real. And I'm like, I know. I told you. I'd be curious. What did your, so maybe backup
for a second, you started seeing a mentor. Any, any, like, education we need as an audience around
that? She's on social media. She has no idea, like, what I do, which is, like, so funny. Like, it's so
funny because I made with her, I'm like, well, I have this brand, she's like, what? Like, I don't
understand. Like, she's, like, so. But she's my age and she has two kids. She's just way healthier
version of me, you know? Like, she's off social media, like, completely. So it's, it's great
because it puts things into perspective for me because, like, you know, I'm like over here complaining about
da-da-da-da-da-da. And she's like, well, why don't you just turn it off? And I'm like,
oh, I never thought of that. Thanks.
Well, sometimes it's the messenger, right? Because it's like, it's someone that you respect
outside of social media. I don't like hearing it from you. No, I mean, that's,
you're acting like I would be shocked by that statement. Do you know how many, like,
messages that I want to get to you that I've just planted with your friends?
Well, can I be honest with you? Sometimes I don't like hearing from my friends either.
Because I'm like, you don't have kids.
I know.
You don't have two babies might like they they a lot of my friends are have newborns right now.
So I won't be able to say this for much longer.
But sometimes I'm just like you don't understand.
And you know, I know that's just like the wrong.
I should not have that attitude or that meant.
But I do because I'm human, you know.
You know.
And so I needed a mentor.
Sorry.
I needed a mentor that was in a similar stage of life as me.
And so Elizabeth has two babies about the same age as my babies.
So she gets me and she gets motherhood.
and she understands the struggle.
What if I was like, I planted Alyssa Smith in your life to give you a
You didn't because I pursued her.
You did, you did.
But yeah, so.
So I would be curious.
So I'm first of all,
I'm so proud of you for seeking a mentor.
I think everyone should do it.
I think for you in particular,
we've talked about this multiple times,
it's harder for you to go within.
You like to look out,
but not in.
And so I think that this is a big challenge for you.
When you got back from,
Cabo and you said, look at my calendar to Elizabeth. What did she say? Like, what are some tidbits of
what you learned today? Um, that you and I are both responsible for it. It's not just me by myself.
Yeah. Does she know that you cannot be stopped? So, so I actually made a list. Oh. I did this on the
airplane and it actually was not homework. It was my own insightfulness. I was like, excuse me,
I was journaling and I was like, okay, I'm going to make a list of everything in the next
three weeks that I planned, I committed to, Jordan committed us to, or was just put on my calendar
without me approving. Oh my gosh. I have to be like one or two things. No. No, you were just as guilty.
What? Yeah. Give me examples. I like, I, now I am raging because there is no way this is possible.
So do you know the last time I created a little calendar invite for myself? Yeah, but see, you're looking at it
the wrong way. Okay, tell me. Do you go me? It might be too personal.
because I don't want
I don't want to hurt someone's feelings
it's just like a thing you know
okay okay I'll figure it out
we'll talk about after
yeah but you're just as much in the
you're just as much playing the same like truly 50 50
no I'm probably
I'm probably 65
okay that's fair
the institution is probably
is probably 10
okay the institution got it
and then you're probably like the rest
which is what
25. I mean, that's a cool 25. Yeah, you're 25. Okay. I would calibrate myself at 25.
Yeah, but you're not, you're not like not to blame. Yeah, no, sure. How many gears down do,
does your mentor suggest that we go? Um, you know, she's really at a loss for words when it comes to me.
She's like, you're my worst case yet. She hasn't been able to crack the code on this one just yet.
I can tell this is when you know it's bad.
When your mentor gets a mentor to mentor you.
That is so funny.
That's facts too.
She did.
Wow.
Yeah.
So now she has a mentor.
She like called in the Calvary.
She was like, she's like, I got a bad one.
I got a bad one.
So she, to be clear, she has a bad one in what sense?
You know, I'm totally teasing.
I know, I know.
I'm totally teasing.
I think she was going to meet with this.
It's like her uncle anyway.
But I think I'm tough because I'm an anomaly in a sense that there's not a lot of cases like me.
So that's what anomaly means.
Yeah, yeah.
But why?
Why?
In what area in particular?
Because I'm a workaholic and a mother.
and a people pleaser
and insanely driven
but insanely exhausted
so
it's just a recipe for a really bad cake
it's really just a recipe for a disaster
and
I can't be stopped really is my problem
yeah and it kind of like goes
like a pendulum and I think that the one thing that
you know is probably the most
challenging for her is that there are
elements of my life that I don't even have control over. So when it's like, Danny, let's change,
let's shift. It's not that easy for me to just change. Like I have a team of people.
The Illuminati.
Do it. Do it. Show the sign.
The Illuminati is calling me. And I've paid me, I've paid my annual fees.
Yeah. No, I have a team. In blood. In blood.
no, I have a team of people that are, that expect a lot from me on a daily basis. And if I don't show up,
a lot of things fall apart. And a lot of people, like, we just did a photo shoot last week for my
big ass luxury candle launch. We had a whole team flying from Nashville. I was feeling under the
weather. So I texted, I said, hey, can we read schedule this thing? It's like, no. Like, we have,
we've rented a house, we've rented a limo, we have a hotel waiting for us. We have like five.
I have people that flew in from Nashville.
We've rented the coats.
We have a stylist.
And honestly, Danny, if you don't film today,
you won't film until January of 2027 because your calendar is blocked.
And so it's not, there's so much that is, like, put on my calendar that is committed,
that I've committed to that is outside of me.
Yeah.
My body is not my own.
You're like, what is Taylor?
She's in a fish bowl, right?
No, I'm not in a fish bowl.
I'm just, I'm a rag doll.
Just throw me around.
No, I feel that.
I feel that.
Last night in bed, you know, we were talking.
Yeah, when you get naked.
And we were, what were we talking about last night?
I was upset.
I know, but why were you upset again?
Because I felt like I wasn't good enough.
That's right, that's right.
You know, just another Sunday evening.
I got caught in the comparison, you know, wheel.
It's such a horrible place to be.
And I felt like I wasn't good enough.
And I felt like, oh, yeah, I was comparing myself to other people.
And then I told you because I was like, I should communicate these things, you know,
because it's supposed to do.
You were very community.
And then Jordan's like, that'll be fine.
He goes.
No, honestly.
He goes, you're the best.
I love you.
It'll be good.
I'm like, I'm going to.
Why did I even talk to you?
It was pointless.
It was pointless.
I took a melatonin tablet.
Oh.
And then five seconds later, you were like, I'm upset.
And I was like, oh, no.
You were so out of it.
I was like, oh, no.
I'm not prepared for this moment.
And I think I said something about, well, then you got upset with the way that I responded.
So then we had to.
Because it was so short and like not helpful.
Well, and then we had to be like, babe, you go get them.
You're going to be, you're great.
I love you.
And then I think I was like like half on a melatonin tablet.
And I was like, like, you know, if you want to play volleyball, or if you don't want to play volleyball,
then let's just quit the game.
Like, why are you play volleyball?
But if you want to play volleyball, then, like, my job is to say, you're the best.
Like, get out there, pat you on the butt.
And then I was like, I was like, but you like playing volleyball too.
Like, why are we even talking about volleyball?
And then I was like, it's not really that I like to play volleyball, actually.
It's like, you like to play volleyball.
But I'm like, well, then why are you playing volleyball?
Oh, gosh.
Yeah.
No, I think you are good enough.
Moral of the story is, you're good enough.
Thank you.
I think the moral of the story is like, it doesn't matter,
it doesn't matter what you have in life.
Like, it's like comparison will just eat you alive.
It's the thief of joy.
It's the thief of joy.
You know, I have this fun game in our very lax podcast.
It's called Question Everything.
I mean, this is your game.
Um, someone gave that to me.
52 cards for a deeper conversation.
Pretty smart is actually another podcast.
Oh, really?
Yes.
Let me see the cards.
Plug them.
No,
give me the cards.
Well, I want to read them.
I don't want you to read them.
I know, babe.
I'm not going to.
Let me just show you.
Oh, no.
Is there a red card in there?
Yeah, you know, it's right here.
Okay.
This girl came to, um, a divvy,
PR dinner.
Her name is,
Danielle Robe, and she's a journalist and interviewer for Pretty Smart Podcast.
And so she started these questions because she told me that, you know, people these days
just have a hard time communicating.
They have a hard time having conversations at the dinner table.
And so these questions are basically like conversation starters, but they go, you know,
a little deep.
So that's that.
What if we played it like this?
What if we split the deck in half here?
And we both cherry-picked questions.
to ask each other.
Okay, I would love to do that.
But can I share two things of the week
that I've just loved?
Uh-huh.
I feel like you're not listening.
Oh, yes, of course.
I have this new obsession with the airhead candies,
and I've been craving them all day.
But I'm also on Imperian,
so that could be why.
But those airhead candies are,
what were they called again, babe?
The airhead chews or something?
There's the airhead chews,
But then there's these other ones that I want all of you guys to go and get.
It's so weird.
It's like, I don't think I've ever met another airhead person.
I met children that like the candy, but no one is like a fanatic about airheads.
I, guys, just, we just trust me.
We just trust me.
Okay.
The airhead soft filled bites.
You can get them at Walgreens, CBS.
I got them at the airport.
They are not like your typical airheads.
My mouth is watering.
Just thinking about them.
They're the best candies.
They're the perfect amount of sour and squish and chewiness,
but then the middle is filled with this like,
this soft filled almost creamy thing,
but it's not creamy.
Just like creamy, ew.
Oh my gosh, they're so good.
Now, if you want to go another layer,
I recommend getting the airhead bites.
They're like little airheads,
but they come in a bite,
almost like bite size.
Kind of like think of the size of a lifesaver,
but maybe a little smaller.
Oh my goodness.
They are so good.
Now, these are extra chewy.
And I'm telling y'all, don't sleep on airheads.
They are so bomb.
Oh my gosh, it's the best candy.
Like, seriously, where have we all been?
Yeah.
I thought that they were subpar at best, but I am so happy for you.
The girl, did you try one of the soft build?
I can't even talk because my mouth is watering.
Did you try one of the soft-filled bites?
Isn't it weird?
Like whenever your mouth waters, it fills up with this, like,
Sliva.
Light spit.
No, I can't.
I can't.
But it's also, it's also the same light spit that fills up when you are about to throw up.
That's true, yeah.
I know, what is that?
It's saliva.
It's saliva.
It's the same thing that's activating your salivary glands.
Yeah.
Kinesiology major.
Yeah, genius.
Some genius over here.
You know.
But did you try, just really fast, did you try one of the soft-filled bites?
No.
That's why you don't like him.
I was off candy.
All right, I'm off candy.
I'm trying to bring him back.
Mm-mm.
I'm done.
I'm trying to bring him back to the dark side.
I'll never go back.
Okay.
I would love to, did you have a second one?
You said you had a second thing that you were passionate about.
There's so many things I'm,
I'm passionate about these days.
I'm really passionate about true and co bras right now.
They're like the best bras.
I'm really passionate about spin drift.
I chug,
five of these a day. They're really good. I'm really passionate about, um, that's pretty much it.
I can think of right now. Oh, love is blind. Oh my. My. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, it's my favorite season so far.
It is so good. I, okay, I got home from Kappa and I was exhausted. I was so tired. And I can't.
Does your mentor break up words like this? Exhausted?
No.
You've done it like four times and what's so strange did you never do that.
Exhausted.
Yeah.
No,
she doesn't.
In fact,
she's very eloquent and sounds very educated when she talks.
I feel like an idiot once sometimes.
I'm like,
girl,
it was lit.
She's like,
what?
No,
it's my way of emphasizing how I'm excited I am,
but I'll stop doing it.
No,
no, no,
it's great.
Keep going.
Okay.
What was I talking about?
Love is mine.
Oh my gosh.
I was so exhausted whenever I got back
from Cabo.
But, you know, I'm about to get into bed
and then I get this notification on my phone.
It's like, new season, love is fine.
I'm like, oh my gosh, you're telling me
there's a whole new season.
So I just start it because, you know,
I love the beginning part just seeing who's who,
who's in there.
And I am hooked so hard, babe,
that I stay up for two more hours,
but here's the thing.
I just skimmed.
I skimmed through because I like,
I like to just see the reveals.
I like to get like the gist of everything.
So I get all the reveals done.
And then I go back and watch everything.
Once I know,
who ends up together. I just totally cheat. It's so fun. But there was a, there's one character that even
has me invested. What's his name? Jimmy. Jimmy and Jess and Chelsea and Trevor. It's just a love square,
I would say, love, not triangle, love square. And, um, you just have to watch it. I don't,
honestly, I can get it to it. I, I really can't watch these shows because, um, you tell me everything.
Yeah, I know. And then I, and then I just, I kind of just watch.
the clips that you show me. I will say there's this gorgeous girl named Jess. She's a mother
to a 10 year old and she's dating on the show Jimmy and Jimmy's dating Chelsea and Jess at the same
time and he ends up choosing Chelsea. Oh, sorry, spoiler alert.
Silly me. Silly me. And Jess just gives it to him, babe. She goes whenever
So whenever she finds out that she's not being chosen, she goes, Jimmy, you're going to have, you are going to choke when you see what you've missed out on.
She goes, you are going to need an epipen to clear your pathways because you won't be able to breathe or believe what you've given up on.
And then she's like, you know what, Jimmy?
I say this in like the best way.
God bless you.
I was like, girl, you must be from Texas.
Wow.
It's just so drama.
Anyway, okay.
Should we question everything?
You want to play the game?
Absolutely.
It's funny, I've been,
while you were telling your love is blind story,
I've been sorting through cards,
and I found five cards that are just hilarious to ask you.
Okay.
I'm so excited.
Okay.
Are you ready for the first one?
Before we get into Question Everything,
Today's episode is brought to you by Dreamland Baby.
We have spoken about Dreamland Baby on De-influenced a couple of times.
But for the mama, dads, grandparents, or any caretakers out there, this is a product that you absolutely need to hear about.
Dreamland Baby is the brand that brought us the weighted sleep swaddle and weighted sleep sack.
The way you feel using a weighted blanket and how it helps take your anxiety down is how it feels for your baby.
It's been such an amazing addition to our household and it's one of my number one most recommended products for
any new parents out there. The weighted sleep swaddle is for your newborn. I learned about
dreamland baby a few months after having Stella. So we started with the weighted sack for her,
but Stratton started with the weighted swaddle. The easy to use built-in swaddle bands make swaddling
a breeze for you and your baby. And best of all, the dream weighted swaddle can be worn three ways.
Both arms in, one arm in, or both arms out to effortlessly adopt to your baby's changing
sleep needs and provide them with the security and comfort they deserve, just like a hug.
They can then transition to the sack once they're ready.

What should I make for dinner?
When was their most recent checkup at the doctors?
It can be pretty overwhelming.
That's why I was grateful.

receive 50% off your first order that's 50% off to claim this deal you must go to hiahealth.com
slash Danny Austin hiya.
Woo!
You know what this also reminds you of?
What?
Which is how bomb the divvy hair vitamins are.
That's true.
Sometimes.
Go it.
Go there.
Go there.
Sometimes it keeps stamp at night.
More.
It just does.
I just, it's so frustrating.
like how much marketing can skew someone and make you believe that something is better than
something else.
But it's like, divvy hair vitamins actually are the best.
We actually have the best ingredients.
We actually have the clinical data to support and the clinical dosages to actually support the claims.
When all these other hair vitamins don't.
And it's so frustrating.
Let's play a game.
Okay.
Let's play a game.
Sorry.
Today's just, this is what happens.
when you don't give me an outline.
My brain just, I'm a pinball machine.
I'm like, have you ever heard of spin drift?
Let me tell you why spin drift is way better than LaCroix.
Yeah.
Do you want to go first or do you want me to go first?
I'll go first.
Yeah, why don't you warm me up?
What are you most likely to splurge on?
Travel.
Okay.
It's kind of a boring answer.
Like what?
What in travel?
Like the hotel?
Like, where are you going to stay?
Probably the hotel.
Yeah, the hotel.
And then, like, I would say that it's the, what do they call them?
The ease of travel.
So, like, instead of, like, ordering an UberX, like, I'll get an Uber black.
That's so bougie.
I don't even do that.
Really?
I know.
I travel pretty, like, ratchet.
I know.
I know.
I'm like, hey, can I get a ride?
I'm just, like, put my thumb up on the side of the road.
But honestly, I think that Uber has me so figured out at this point that they like have trapped me in the Uber Black ecosystem.
Because now whenever I try and order an Uber X, it's like it'll be 30 minutes.
And like Uber, Uber Black is like three minute wait with like a flashing icon.
And every single time I'm like, okay, fine.
Like I've got to do this.
I don't have 30 minutes.
That's so bogey of you.
No, I honestly feel like it's manipulation.
It's like algorithmically manipulative.
Yeah, yeah.
Because they have me trapped.
Yeah, I get that.
But I would say travel.
Yeah, you, yeah.
I will do anything.
I will pay for anything that makes me feel like I get my time back.
That's, ooh, give me chills right there.
That's good.
Like, I really will because I feel like I can justify it in my head that like there's only like three things that my time is most important to.
Working out probably, and this is in no order.
Working out because that makes me a better husband and father.
Two, time with you, which your schedule is.
a little wacky. We'll talk about that later.
And then time with our kids.
And so anything that like...
Helps you get that back. Yeah, helps me get that back.
Especially like with how much we do, that's what I would spend it on.
You know what they say.
Time is money.
Okay, I'm going to ask you a question.
This is the first question I saw, which makes me laugh.
What are you still trying to prove to yourself and to other people?
They can be two different answers.
Trying to prove to myself.
Mm-hmm.
Um, that I can change, that I'm not stuck.
Like I can evolve and I can change if I, if I want to.
Like if I want to get a six pack, like I can do it.
I don't have to be where I'm at.
You taught me that.
Yeah.
So I'm trying to still prove that to myself because sometimes I struggle with the consistency of it.
Mm-hmm.
Um, yeah, and I think I'm trying to prove to myself I can be consistent.
Okay.
What about sad?
I still haven't gotten there.
So hard.
It's so hard.
I, I go on these great.
benders and I'm like so I'm so great and then I just I'm just like this I'm just like
it's like a roller coaster why do you think that is is it maybe that you don't like the consistency
oh 100% I don't like consistency like that depresses me I don't if I that's why I started making
YouTube videos in the beginning is I wanted control I wanted to do whatever I wanted to do
when I wanted to do it right I don't like a schedule I don't
don't like structure. I like to wake up and be like, what do I want to do today? Whatever like
rolls across my desk and you're so opposite that it's really a point of contention for me.
I know, but like don't you feel like discipline and routine actually creates freedom and
doesn't take away from it? That is no, that's not how my mind works. I know. But just for a second. I'm like
discipline and routine sounds like discipline and routine. But just listen for a second. Isn't it
possible that like this is the one point you're wrong about is that it's not like like
structure can help create freedom because it like will intentionally give you the blocks that
you have for true freedom does that make sense it makes sense and it's like a TED talk like any way
you look at it like I can convince myself that you're right and I'm wrong or I'm wrong and you're
right like it's just it's just all talk but like I don't think that I can help the way that I feel
like that's just how I feel and I can discipline myself and
And I can be routine.
And I can, I can do that.
But that's not, yeah, that's not in my nature.
You get bored with every kick.
We were talking about this at dinner in Cabo.
I'm like just, I'm not like one of those people that's just like content all the time.
It's horrible.
It's horrible.
You're like, I'm not really one of those people that like understands this whole contentment thing.
Consentment I think.
I have to strive for it.
I have to tell myself like, you know, we're on this trip in Cabo.
And I'm like, there's so many opportunities.
for work here.
I'm like, I could go shoot a swimsuit.
I could go do this.
I could go make a reel.
And I have to, I wrestle.
I wrestle with myself.
And I tell myself, Danny, you sit your butt back down there and you relax.
You get back to it and say, you smile and you close those little eyes.
You just let it ride.
And I have to sit there.
And the whole hour, I'm like, oh, okay, relax.
And like, that's just my nature.
My nature is that way.
Yeah.
Okay, what are you trying to prove to others?
that divvy has the best hair vitamins.
Okay, that's fair.
Honestly, that's fair.
Okay, you go.
What do you know for sure?
Oh my gosh.
Why is that such a weird existential question?
What do you know for sure?
I...
There's so many ways.
I can't answer it.
Well, what do you know?
For sure.
Oh, my gosh.
What do you know for sure?
Just don't take it.
Don't be that serious.
You're taking it.
You're trying to be.
What do you know for sure?
Okay, okay.
But like, don't be like boring about it, you know.
Well, now I'm trapped.
Now I've got nothing.
Like, be cool.
I've got nothing.
What do you know for sure?
Mike, can I just tell you my gut?
Yeah, absolutely.
That like, we, you and I are always going to be okay.
Oh, that's sweet.
Like I really do feel like that.
I mean, like, some of the seasons are hard, but like when you get to the edge of the other season,
it's like always better.
Are you, like, you yawning?
Are you feeling?
kidding me right now it's allergies I feel that way too like snooze fast um oh this is a good one are you ready
scroll through your instagram it's taylor swift i'll just tell you no no no scroll through your
instagram did i tell you wait no no wait before you go could i did i ever tell you what the text my mom sent me
about taylor swift yeah did i read it she's in a really bad facebook can i read it though hey she might be right
Okay.
Sorry, I have to.
There's going to be so many people who listen to this.
They're like, yes, I told you.
They're like, I love Anna.
Okay, I'm going to cut out the first three sentences.
Interesting article talks about Taylor Swift and how she openly commented that she could sway the presidential election.
Also, Travis Kelsey getting paid $20 million to push the COVID booster.
She has a huge influence and I truly believe she is not a believer.
I personally would not support her or build her up.
She already has so much influence
And those that are like, she will follow her
There's no harm in respecting her as a businesswoman
But as believers, we should not admire someone
Who doesn't serve the Lord.
Can you imagine what good she would do with her power and influence
If she just shared her faith even for a split second?
She's not wrong.
No, I know. I'm sorry.
But here's one thing.
One thing that people don't understand is
I don't think Taylor Swift is a believer.
I don't think she is either.
I don't know, like
people think that she like is Christian is a Christian and like she has this faith or this
religion I don't I'm pretty sure she doesn't yeah actually when is she ever mentioned her faith
she only like even in lyrics there are interviews where she's asked about her faith and she says
I don't talk about religion because it upsets people and then she also has referred to
politics that upsets she used to not she used to not talk about politics this was back in the day
She used to be very anti-talking about politics.
Oh, my gosh.
And then, yeah.
And so the other thing that I was to say is,
oh, my God, I just lost my train of thought.
She's not a Christian.
Oh, yeah, she's, oh, she has talked about in her song
that she wrote about her mom when her mom got cancer.
She basically admitted to, like, praying about that.
But, like, it wasn't, I think it was more for, like, a lyrical, like,
for a lyric than it was like I actually am praying to a god and maybe she does believe in god i don't know
but um i do think i think people were holding her to the standard that she's never really claimed
to believe we don't we don't have to go down this like rabbit hole i thought that well i thought
that um i thought your mom's text was going to be worse than that like the whole witch thing
well i think that's why i thought it was worse than it actually was too because she also believes
that Taylor Swift is a Satanist and a witch.
I will say one of the better conspiracy theories out there
is how Taylor Swift looks identical
to that famous Satanist.
It's really creepy.
The female, like she actually does.
She, like, and this is not me saying,
I believe in the conspiracy.
I'm like, that's a good conspiracy theory.
That's funny to believe.
She does look exactly like her.
Exactly.
It's creepy.
It's really eerie.
It's really eerie.
But hey, I mean, I'm sure there's some, like,
crazy person that I might,
Like, like, wait, no, people say this.
Who is it?
Me?
Yeah.
Who?
I don't remember.
Oh, you have that doppelganger in Germany.
Oh, I do.
Oh, my gosh.
That girl is like a spitting.
Well, that was honestly whenever, before you got Botox in your jaw.
Yeah.
Like, y'all had a similar.
I don't think we look so much to like anymore.
It was probably when I was in my wig era.
But that, like, that was weird.
That was weird.
I wouldn't have even known that, like, you had a different, what person.
was. Okay, open your Instagram. Okay. And I want you to scroll through your Instagram and I want you to
tell us which photo best represents the true you and why. On my feed? Uh-huh. Or real. I mean, oh, here we go.
Perfect. This one. Okay. So if you're not watching on video, it's Danny in bed with a piece sign or giving a
piece sign with a bunch of what's on your face. Um, I,
I had, I was using the Mario Badoosku pimple drying treatment.
That really is.
Like I look at that picture and I'm like, that's the real, Danny.
Yeah.
I'm just, um, yeah, I'm just like a chill person.
Yeah.
I'm not chill.
Um, yeah, I would say it describes me because I do feel like with my social media and the
content I put out there, I've kind of gotten past the whole like, uh,
trying to make everything aesthetic or I don't think I'm like a very visually creative person.
You know, I'm not someone that like, it's like an art whenever I post photos and some people
are so talented in that way.
Yeah.
It's truly like, it's like a form of art for them.
That's not really me.
I don't really like to film things over and over.
I will say I did this morning when I was like, I was just having an off day.
But typically whenever I post stories, like it's not produced.
Like I just, my rule is just like film it one time and post it, like just throw and go, you know.
And I think people can like feel them.
that. I think people can feel whenever you're like posing for something versus like I'm just
like going to throw it up there. I know. I know that I do that because the videos I post of myself are so
ugly sometimes. Do you think that the audience knows that like sometimes in the influencer world,
you have to film multiple takes of something? Like not with us. I'm just saying with influencers in general.
Like if you ever like go watch an influencer's content and you imagine that. You're not
Imagine that that was like the sixth time that they did it.
It's hard to watch.
It's hard to watch.
And even that some of the ones that seem most organic are filmed multiple times.
I've done it.
I've done it myself.
I'm totally guilty of it.
But I try not to.
I try to just be like one and go like if I mess up.
I will say today was an off day for me because I was stuttering a lot.
But most of the time that I think people refilm things,
it's because it's not to make it more aesthetic.
It's to make it seem less contrived or like it's to make it seem like more organic.
Does that make sense?
I did this ad that I had to do like a while back.
And I, it was like one of those ads that I had to get for approval.
It was one of those things that I got in my head that like it had to get approved by like people sitting and watching it like in a boardroom.
That's how I envision people watch my content whenever I work with the brand.
Like I just envision these like all these like men in suits sitting around watching my video of me like with no pants on.
I always picture that and it kind of sometimes messes with my head.
Yeah.
And then that's whenever like I literally change my voice.
I was like, hi guys.
So today and I was like, ew, I hated it.
But that's how I feel like most influencers sound.
Right.
I feel like when they talk, I'm like, you don't actually talk like that.
My mom does that a lot when she's like talking to her phone.
She's like, and now we're headed to the pool.
And we're so excited.
And I'm like, mom, stop.
you don't talk like that.
Yeah,
she has like an Instagram voice.
It's like an Instagram voice.
It's the same thing as like if you were being put on camera.
Right.
You would have a camera voice.
So it's not anyone's fault.
Like it's really uncomfortable if you're not used to it.
And I,
but I caught myself doing that.
I was like,
Danny, snap out of it.
It was pretty gross.
Let's do one more question to each and then go get your butt looked at.
What is the best advice someone has given you and why?
And then what was the worst advice someone gave you?
I'm giving you a pretty tough question.
Dude, can I pass?
Can I go on a different question?
What's the worst advice someone gave you?
That's a better one.
And it's funny because my parents did not tell me this, but like probably marry for money.
Who told you that?
There was a guy in college who was like all about this.
Was he your friend?
No, not really a friend.
He was like an acquaintance and he was like literally all about this.
He was like, yeah, you know, you should like just find a girl who like comes from money and then just marry her.
And I was like, are you serious?
That's a horrible idea.
Was he in bucks?
No.
No, he wasn't in bucks.
Well, did he marry someone for money?
You know, I don't know.
I don't really keep up with anyone from college.
I want to know.
I want to talk to someone that did marry someone for money.
And if I want to know if they ended up falling in love with them.
That's a really good question.
Do you think that it can't happen?
My mom always told me that it could happen.
My mom always told me she was like, she goes, Danny, if you don't love him, you'll learn to love him.
That's what my mom said.
But my mom also, oh, love you, mom.
No, your, your mom, like, really did, even if she said that in just, she meant, she, she, she wanted the absolute best for you.
Oh, duh.
Of course.
And honestly, like, like.
My mom also came from nothing.
Nothing.
Right.
I wouldn't say nothing.
That was a little extreme.
But it was not, yeah.
Yeah.
So that's probably the worst advice I've ever gotten.
Cool.
One last question for you.
What is the title of your memoir for this season of your life?
That's a good question.
Consistently inconsistent.
That's good.
That's good.
You think I'll write a book?
one day?
100%.
I want to blow your socks off.
I have so much wisdom to draw.
Personally write it.
Oh, 100%.
Are you kidding me?
I mean, I wouldn't mind someone editing or like sitting next to me and helping me out.
I'm not worried about actually writing the book.
I'm more worried about structuring the outline.
Because my biggest fear is I spend all this time writing stuff that nobody wants to
hear about.
Yeah.
So I would really want someone to sit down with me and be like, this is the outline.
This is what we're going to talk about in each chapter.
And then you go.
And I would just be like, and I'd get my nails all cut short.
And I'd be, tip-tabbing away.
You know what I would do?
I'd go live in like some, I'd go live in Greece for like three months.
And I'd just, three months.
You think you read a whole book in three months?
I thought it was like a year commitment.
No, no.
No, no.
I know people that have written books, multiple books.
And they can write in like three months.
I mean, that's if you are doing it everything like just like tapping it out.
And that's how I would want to do it.
Because I also,
know that whenever I write my book, I'm going to be piecing out. I'm not going to be on
Instagram. I'm going to take a three-month hiatus, write my book, come back, Shabam,
be back on the internet, and then launch my book once it's like edited and everything
published, like six months later, you know, however long later. But I will take my time off.
That way I can really think. Yeah, and really commit to it. Maybe in the comment section,
go leave a review in the comment section. Please give Danny thoughts on what you
would want her to talk about in her book.
That would be nice.
You want to close us out?
That would be nice.
Yes.
Thank you guys for listening.
We'll put this game that Danielle gave me.
We'll put the link in the show notes.
I've never called them show notes before.
I've been listening to do my podcast.
Feel free to leave us a review.
Follow us on the de-influence Instagram and TikTok.
TikTok and Instagram are popping.
We are so funny over there.
You don't even know how funny we are.
No, people are like actually actively lolling.
Lolling.
Like they share our TikToks and our reels and they don't even know who we are.
Yeah.
That's when you know that you've made it.
I love it.
So yeah, feel like to leave us a review.
Give us a five star rating.
That would be nice.
And we love you.
We'll talk to later.
Bye.
Bye.
