I'll distill the wisdom of world-class experts into easy-to-digest, actionable tips.
Struggling with tough emotions?
We have a how-to guide.

Self-obsessed and want to get over yourself?
There's a guide for that, too.
The Happiness Lab's how- To Season starts January 1st.
Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Mary Kay McBrayer, host of the podcast, The Greatest True Crime Stories Ever Told,
where I dig into crimes where a woman is not just a victim.
She might be the detective, the lawyer, the witness, the coroner, the criminal, or some mix of those roles, because these are the stories we need to know to understand
the intersection of society, justice, and the workings of the human psyche.
Listen to the greatest true crime stories ever told starting on February 11th on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Coming February 11th, a new podcast, Obscuro, Invasion of the Drones.
Somebody's making money doing this, otherwise it wouldn't exist.
It actually rotated around our house, looking as if it was peering in each window of our home.
They were visibly dropped.
They had reports of shots fired at drones.
Listen to Obscura, Invasion of the Drones,
starting February 11th on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

in football history.
I'm A.J.

Hi, everybody.
Hi.
Hi, Catherine.
Hi, Chelsea.
How are you?
I'm good.
Today is Critics' Choice Award, so I will be returning to my birth network of E to host
the 30th.
Wow.
30th critics, it's their 30th anniversary
of the Critics' Choice Awards.
And this is my third hosting gig.
Fantastic, I mean, it all worked out.
It all worked out.
I got shoulder surgery about 10 days ago,
just in time to wear a strapless gown.
Perfect.
Fighting an infection.
I am getting intravenous drugs every 24 hours.
I haven't had a drink in about 10 days
and I don't think I'll be able to have one
for another six weeks.
So who knows, this could be the beginning of my sober life.
Who knows, maybe I'll come out and be like,
who needed alcohol anyway?
Who even needed it?
You just like go sober to all these parties would be great.
Yeah, exactly.
No, actually what my schedule is,
is last night they took out my my pick line,
which is what they used to give me intravenous drugs for this infection that I got. And tonight,
after the award show in a very glorious fashion, I come straight home so they can
reinstall the pick line. Oh, fantastic. So that's my after party, everybody.
So sexy. So exciting. Chelsea, I have to tell you about something
that happened to me recently,
and I have been waiting to tell you about this.
Okay.
I was at the gym working with my trainer last week.
Hopefully Sans, hard boiled eggs.
You didn't bring those.
I brought no hard boiled eggs.
I don't even let my shoes smell like hard boiled eggs
when I'm there.
The story's already better
just by not having hard boiled eggs in it.
Let me tell you.
I was like laying on my back doing some like, you know, ab work,
that sort of thing. And I see walk up about three feet from my face, bare feet.
Bare at the gym, bare men's feet, just walking around. And my trainer turns the guy and goes,
where are your shoes, man? I just want to tell you, this man, he's a boomer white gentleman.
He's the only white boomer that goes to my entire gym.
He also happens to be the only person I've ever seen there wearing a Trump hat.
And I'm not saying that like the two of those things are related, but.
Well, it's the attitude.
The attitude is related.
They either they disregard for others is related.
Wearing bare feet in public spaces is just,
you have no regard for others.
No.
And wearing a Trump hat means you have no regard
for others also.
You bring that into other people's faces.
I just like, I could not believe it.
It was like right next to my face
cause I was laying on the ground.
I was like, what is happening? Why. It was like right next to my face because I was laying on the ground. I was like, what is happening?
Why are there old man feet next to me?
It was truly horrifying.
It reminds me of the dedication to my new book.
My new book, if you guys haven't ordered it,
ordered it, I'll have what she's having.
It's not out until February 25th,
but there's a dedication in that book
to a very special group of people
that have to deal with people like that all the time.
And I'll let you read it in the book. You'll know what I'm talking about.
And you can pre-order her book actually in the link right in the description here. So go ahead
and click there. Yes, pre-order please.
Please. You can even buy signed copies.
Oh yeah. And I'm doing a book tour. I'm going to all these different cities.
Are they on your website? Yeah, they're all on my website. So go to the tour. I'm going to all these different cities. Are they on your website?
Yeah, they're all on my website.
So go to the website.
I'm gonna do like six cities for my book tour.
Awesome, that's super fun.
Black History Month is here
and we're excited to kick off season four.
Of I didn't know, maybe you didn't either.
This season, we're diving even deeper.
Celebrating trailblazing pioneers who fought for change and shining a spotlight on revolutionary
women who defied the odds and redefined excellence.
Give Grace Wisher her flowers.
She's proof that history ain't all about who gets the credit.
It's about who did the work.
So next time you see that 50 star, 13 striped American flag,
you just remember a 16 year old black woman helped to make it happen. So this season,
get ready to be inspired, educated and empowered even more. Join us as we uncover stories that
deserve to be heard and celebrated. Listen to I Didn't Know. Maybe you didn't either from the
Black Effect Podcast Network
on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or simply wherever you get your podcasts.
It was a moment that should have broken me, but just because of how I was raised and my
bullishness and arrogance to want to be great hardened me.
It gave me a platform to be so singularly focused on greatness.
We all have moments like this.
Something happens that's supposed to break us.
But it's in these moments that we discover what we're really made of.
I promise you, if anyone knows this, it's me.
I'm Ashlyn Harris, two-time Women's World Cup champion and goalkeeper for the US Women's
National Team.
In my new podcast, Wide Open, I'll sit down with trailblazers from sports, music, fashion,
entertainment, and politics to explore their toughest moments and the incredible comebacks
that followed.
Listen to Wide Open with Ashlyn Harris, an iHeart women's sports production on the iHeart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports.
I'm Dr. Laurie Santos, and to welcome the new year, my podcast, The Happiness Lab,
is releasing a series of happiness how-to guides to help you in 2025.
I'll distill the wisdom of world-class experts into easy to digest actionable tips. It's about never feeling good
enough. I feel like I'm always failing. You'll learn how to handle relationships,
how to be inspiring, and how to find your purpose. We make it this big pie in the
sky thing and then of course we're all frustrated because no one knows how to
get there. Struggling with tough emotions, we have a how-to guide.
Worried that you're not enough, we got you.
Self-obsessed and want to get over yourself, there's a guide for that too.
The ability to approach somebody and make them experience desire for you in minutes
or even hours is a rare and rather unnecessary skill, historically speaking.
The Happiest Labs how-to season starts January 1st.
Listen on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm so sick of hearing men talk about women's basketball.
If only there were a professional WNBA player with her own podcast I could listen to.
Hey, this is Lexi Brown, WNBA player and professional yapper.
And this is Mariah Rose.
You may know me from spilling the tea on Hoops for Hotties
on TikTok.
And we've got a new podcast, Full Circle.
Every Wednesday, we're catching you up on what's going on
in women's basketball.
And not just in the WNBA, but with Athletes Unlimited,
Unrivaled, and college basketball.
We've got you with analysis, inside stories,
and a little bit of tea.
I know you guys have seen a lot of former
and current basketball players telling their stories
from their point of view, and I just think
it's time for the girlies to tap in.
We want to share all of the women's basketball stories
that you won't see anywhere else.
Tune in to Full Circle,
an iHeart women's sports production
in partnership with Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment.
You can find us on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Presented by Elf Beauty, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports.
Well, we do have a few updates from folks who have called in in the past, so I wanted
to read a few of those.
We always ask people to update us, so if you've called in recently, shoot us an update.
We want to know what's going on with you.
So our first one comes from Ev.
Ev was from like way back in our Oliver Hudson episode.
And he had the situation where his parents
were like psychiatrists and had medicated him
from like five years old.
I don't know if you remember this,
but he was like, how do I talk to my parents?
I want to come off these medications, like see what life feels like as an adult unmedicated.
And he says, Hi, Catherine and Chelsea, I hope you're having a great day. It was so
much fun being on the podcast. I want to thank you all so much for the advice from our discussion.
I got the courage to tell my parents about the medication. I owe it to you. They took
it very well.
Something Chelsea said inspired me to just be honest
and not beat around the bush.
Going forward, I'm going to proceed with courage
and always trust my gut.
Thank you again, sincerely Ev."
Oh, well that's nice considering I have no recollection
of that phone call whatsoever.
It was a while ago.
It was quite a while ago.
I don't really remember that at all.
So look, look, look what a difference you can make
in people's lives, even when you don't remember people.
Exactly.
So this one is part question, part update.
Emily had called in way early on
and she wanted to get a boob job.
And we told her like, go for it.
If you want a boob job, go for it.
Dear Chelsea, I hope you're doing well.
Hard to believe I was on season one of the podcast and I'm still an avid listener weekly.
Well, I still haven't gotten the boob job.
I was never not confident in my body.
I just always thought bigger breasts would be a bonus, but if I wanted to, I would have
pulled the trigger by now.
I am, however, looking forward to seeing Chelsea's in her annual skiing post and whistler in
a few short weeks.
I had a new question for her.
I'm planning to travel to Africa this year with my mom
to celebrate my 30th birthday.
Chelsea, what are your favorite countries
to visit in Africa?
There's so many safari options and destinations,
so I could use your guidance on your favorite locations.
Bonus points if you remember the month
you traveled to them too.
Cheers, Emily.
I usually do my traveling too.
The times I've been to safari have been in the summer,
like July, because it's their winter have been in the summer, like July,
cause it's their winter.
So you want to go in July, August.
You can kind of get away with June too,
but the big crossing on the Mara River crossing is,
I think very specific to July.
It's like a month or two weeks long, I think.
So you can catch that.
But as far as countries in Africa,
I've been to Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania,
and then maybe one other one that I'm not,
oh, Zimbabwe, but that was not for safari.
That was kind of like a water safari.
I would go to Kenya for sure, if you can, Botswana,
any of these places are going to yield amazing safari results.
The first safari I ever went to was a camp called Camp Londolozai
in South Africa, and that was incredible.
And then there are all the singhitas, which are really great too.
I mean, you really can't go wrong when you go on safari.
I would just say, like, whatever money you can spend on that, spend on that.
Like however high you can go,
because it can be so luxurious.
And it's worth it.
And it's worth it because you're like in the middle
of all this beauty and the landscapes are so magnificent.
Like everything, they can turn everything
into like a five-star experience.
And I mean, I'm down with that, you know?
So whatever you can afford, go for it.
This is the trip to go for it.
Awesome.
And that's so fun to like go with her mom.
I think that's really great.
Oh yeah, I mean, you'll never,
I have been on vacation my entire life
and you can never beat a safari.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, our next follow-up comes from Alex.
She called in on our Ya Ya episode was about a year ago,
and she had been married to a man at the time.
She wasn't sure if she was gay.
She was sort of questioning.
And she says, thought I'd send you a quick update on my situation.
It's been a little over a year since I first wrote in, and things have definitely changed. The advice I received from your podcast gave me the permission I needed to start taking
action on how I was feeling. I told my husband that I was attracted to women and we tried working
through it for a bit, but I think I knew on some level that the marriage was no longer for me.
While we were not good together for a few reasons, the cherry on top is I've realized I'm gay.
We separated a few months ago and I've come out to a few family members and close friends.
Although it was a difficult decision to live as my authentic self, I have no regrets.
I am so much happier and feel much more at home with myself.
I've been dating a beautiful woman and I'm looking forward to what the future has in
store for me.
Thanks again.
Feel free to share on the podcast.
And Pia, she says, thanks Catherine for saying
I had big softball energy.
Whenever someone affirms my queerness, I get all giddy.
Oh, that's cute.
I was so glad that was good.
Cause after I said that I was like,
oh, I hope she's not embarrassed by that,
but it may be really giddy.
This call I vaguely remember.
This call is triggering some, or not triggering, it's a...
Bringing up a memory.
Yes, yes.
But I still, yeah.
Usually when you bring up old callers, I know exactly.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, these are all like a little bit older.
I mean, we have been doing this podcast for like 16 years.
It's been a while.
I know.
It's been a while.
We're in year four, five, something.
Four, five, I don't know.
It's a lot.
It's a lot.
Thank you for listening, everyone.
Yes. Thank you. Well, Chelsea, good luck tonight. Or know. It's a lot. Thank you for listening everyone. Yes.
Thank you.
Well, Chelsea, good luck tonight.
Or should I say break a leg?
Break a leg tonight.
Oh, thank you.
Thank you guys.
And tune in to Critics Resort.
See you tonight, bye.
