Starting point is 00:00:00 Oh. That's all I had. I was just trying to form words. Is that your favorite letter? O. Oh. What's your favorite letter? God.
Starting point is 00:00:45 I wasn't expecting that question. Um, oh, what is my favorite letter? A, B, C, D, E, F, H, I, J, K, L, M, A, C, U.S. C, U. Wow. Wait, what's the end of the outfit? Apparently you're not meant to sing it like that anymore How do you see it now? Is that song cancelled?
Starting point is 00:01:07 Yeah, it got cancelled. Wait, sorry, what? No, because L MNOP was too confusing for kids. Oh, because they started thinking that was a letter, L MN-A-P. I think being confused is good. A, B, C, D, E, F, H, I, J-K, L-M-O-M-O-B-C-G, H-I-J-K, L-M-M-O-K-R. J-K-K, oh, you're transphobic? Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Great word, Matt. You want you say, J-K, L-M-O, P-Q-R-S-S. Where did L-M-N-O? Oh, you've moved them. Yeah, you just put every single letter on a different note. I don't like that. I don't like that. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:01:36 A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H-I-J-K, L-M-M-O. Is it L-M-M-O? Yeah, L-M-N-N-N-O. See, I can't do it with L-M-M-O. Q-R-S-T-U-V. S-U-V. What? No, it's a T-U-N-N-N-N.
Starting point is 00:01:59 U-V. W-X-Y and Z. W-X-Y and I always forget the end. That's my issue. I'm a purist. I just want to know about the letters. Y, Z. No.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Yeah, X, Y, Z. Fem-Bot. I love W. Oh, really? Okay, cool. W, congratulations. What do you love? I love...
Starting point is 00:02:24 In this fucking desolate world, you cold, rancid little cunt. I love Z, J, and K. You love ZJ? ZJ. Together? No, they're just my three favorites. Okay, well, to pick. Oh, you're so weird.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Oh, you're so weird. Yeah. Z, J, and K. Yeah. Mama, pick me. Pick me. That's what it's giving. Okay, well, sorry about that.
Starting point is 00:02:56 No, no. Matt, what's your favorite? Um, M. See, that's very math. Just straight down the line. Yeah. Working 9 to 5. M.
Starting point is 00:03:09 You'll find it in most words there. It's in the word most. We're how familiar encountering K? I guess when we go to Oz Kick. Yeah. When we tie a knot. Yeah. And when we know something.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Fucking hell. I guess. When I was in primary school, I just was only friends with the boys who had M. for their first letter. Oh, Michael. And we were called the M boys. M boys.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yeah. Big M. Slop it up. Australia's favorite. Well, actually only Melbourne's favorite. Yeah. Kind of barely. The horror that I experienced when I met my friend David from Perth.
Starting point is 00:03:48 And he explained to me that the Big M is called something else there. Australia has a chocolate milk brand that comes in a carton called Big M. But it's only in Melbourne. Yeah. And they call it. Is it for Melbourne? Yeah, what is it called everywhere else? It's called like...
Starting point is 00:04:02 Big pee. Milk pardon. Yeah, it's called dairy. Big P in Perth. Yeah, I wish. Big C. That would be cool of those hyperlocalized, but no, it's like, I don't know, it's called Choco Express or something.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Yeah. But I don't know when there's another chocolate milk called Farmers Union. I don't know when they decided to slide their ass in, their overly sweetened, treakly ass into the competition. But like, everyone's like, oh, yeah, I love my Farmers Union. Get fucked. It's actually not that good. It also comes in a plastic bottle.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Yes. The allure of a gorgeous carton. Yes. I want every sip to be closer to the demise of the garden. I want every sip to be that you can only go forward once you begin. Yes. Like Bill Bo Beggins' journey. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:47 I'm just trying to put it in terms of our audience will understand. You know what? Okay. Well, okay. Let's just do this really quickly. My name's Aldermood. This is Death to Everyone. our weekly podcast where we talk about arranges.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Matt, you haven't been introduced. I thought we were doing quickly, sorry. Oh, sorry. Well, yeah. And now it's not quick. And now we slow it down. I produced the show. We, Matt!
Starting point is 00:05:12 I also drive the car. Oh, get out. And joining us, as always, is our space car driver, Matt. Matt, are you there? Oh. Continue. Oh, good God. I'm here.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I'm here. I'm here. It's because we don't have M's in our name, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah, I'm not friends to you guys. Big L. Big Z. Big Z.
Starting point is 00:05:38 It sounds like one of Zelda's favorite letters. Yeah. What? Yeah. That's what. But, okay. So, like, as there always is. What's your least favorite letter?
Starting point is 00:05:51 Let's get back to the things we hate. I don't really like, like, um, O, P. You don't like, O? No. She's a people pleaser. She's a bad.
Starting point is 00:06:02 You've got a I don't. You've got a perfect circle. Moon. Oh, you're an Mdil. Yeah. Don't. Miss Moon.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I'm less against letters of the alphabet, but certain numbers, like a six or eight. No, thank you. That's like not for me. I'm pretty sevenphobic. I don't like seven. Well, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Everyone thinks seven's lucky. It can be two circles together. Six, one five at a circle. An elbow, it's barely a one. It's like, I don't know. You get to put the little dash through the seven. Also, try and tell me like, I know, four plus four, eight, got it. Three plus three plus six, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Yeah. What plus what? Three point five plus three point five. Seven. Oh. Seven's the big brother to two, you know? No, two is whole. Seven is odd.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Yeah, but they're both like two above zero. Like five being zero. So it's like that's why two and seven are like sisters and four and nine. But then like three, ugh. Love three. No, three and eight. But then like six being the big sister to one doesn't really work. So like I don't really like six either.
Starting point is 00:07:14 That's crazy. One is one. Yeah. One isn't the like she's got no relatives. She is the only one. But so without a relative, what is six? Six is six. Why is five zero?
Starting point is 00:07:27 I understand. Why is everything based on its relationship to five? Only six, seven, eight, nine and ten is based on five because five is like the reset. Five is not the reset. It's not, but like it kind of is. Every ten. We live in a ten dominated world. You crazy girl.
Starting point is 00:07:46 That's a crazy take. No, because when you're doing addition, like if you're adding like if you're... Five, ten, ten. I know. I'd also, I'd like to go on the record just quickly and say, I don't have anything against five. I've never, I would never speak ill or five. However, I don't base my attention on other numbers on their relationship to five. I can enjoy Solange Knowles without being like, who, she's not Beyonce.
Starting point is 00:08:14 When you have five, when you've got five plus, like, she's five. When you've got five plus seven, it's 12. Oh, my God. So that's why seven is like two. Five plus seven, I wouldn't, you said those two numbers and I was like, I don't even know what's happening. Anyway, four plus eight is 12. What's your point? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Yeah, but I don't want to do that math. That's confusing. No, seven, as soon as seven is in the math, I'm like lost. But it's also like 24 hour time. It's when you take away, oh, I can't do this. I can't. I just can't do this. I regret bringing it up.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Can we please just. Anyone who listening to this who knows maths will just be like, what is going on? There's no mathematicians that listen to this. Oh, good. I hope. We need our greatest minds to be preserved. But... If you're good at maths, don't listen to this podcast.
Starting point is 00:09:10 If you're good at maths, get a job. So, I just wanted to say that, as is always the case, J.K. Rowling is a piece of shit. And there is like... What did she do? Did I miss something? Never-ending conversation about her because of course HBO is rebooting Harry Potter and more of this like casting
Starting point is 00:09:33 and things continue to happen around us without our consent. I just wish they would check in first. What do you think about this for Dudley-Durley? Take it away. Bring me another option. But on my way to your house, I was like reading this like,
Starting point is 00:09:53 I don't know, like a bit of a like breakdown of the current situation, which essentially is like, she's an executive producer on the new show, and there's so many different angles to this, and less angles than what we were just discussing regarding the first 10 numbers, but...
Starting point is 00:10:10 Just the first 9. Ah! Well, I would say that's true, because 10's really like zero, you know? It's the reset. How could it be 0 and 5, 0 as well? Yeah, because there's two sets. Anyway, the thing that came up was like from people who were in defense or like not wanting to say that they were transphobic, but just like, well, actually she didn't have her opinion.
Starting point is 00:10:38 And if she was a man, this wouldn't be happening to her. Well, she was a man. She'd be trans. Wow. To which I just, the thing about that that really annoyed me is like, okay, J.K. Rowley. lover or hater, she is the author of a massive fantasy franchise, right? Like, undeniably that is just a fact. And to say if she was a man, she would be treated differently and therefore going in so hard
Starting point is 00:11:15 on her is anti-women or misogynist or whatever, it's like, well, she is existing. and therefore open to critique. Also, the way that she conducts herself actively brings harm to a community, so worthy of critique. But if we are going to say that, like, and then there were comments of like, oh, you know, other men are rapists or, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:45 like domestic violence, all this stuff. And, you know, they don't come at as hard as people come at JK. I'm like, I don't know that that, like, sometimes certainly true, and that's fucked. But if we're going to talk about famous fantasy writers, so it's like one for one, it is her versus J.I.R. Martin and Tolkien. Like, they are the three. They are the three. And Tolkien, famously not online. But I just, that argument is so.
Starting point is 00:12:22 just irrelevant because you are crossing industries and making comparisons that just fit your narrative that cannot provide, sure, give me the transphobic male writer of Percy Jackson or something, but like no one knows who the fuck wrote Percy Jackson because it's boring. Sorry to Percy.
Starting point is 00:12:46 And all that, like, if, or like David Eddings or something, But, like, that is just such a weak, stupid argument, and it really annoyed me. I mean, like, I agree. It's such a bad faith way of, like, shutting down a conversation. You're like, well, what about this? Yeah. And you're like, okay, well, we're having a conversation right now on the terms,
Starting point is 00:13:08 and the terms of this conversation are we're talking about JK Rowling. Yeah. So it's like, what about rapists? And you're like, well, when we're talking about rapists, but you bringing it up here doesn't strengthen your argument that what she's doing is problematic. Yeah. And her incredible privilege of being like a billionaire, so my billionaire, and investing a huge amount of money to destroy, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:33 to destroy the lives and the communities of trans people. Yeah. And, yeah, sponsoring political movements that are going to, like, undermine their rights in England. It's just like, sorry, in Scotland is just crazy. But, yeah, it is, I mean, like, obviously. the unfortunate thing about the misogyny thing is like, there are ways in which she is insulted by the fans that are deeply misogynistic. And I'm like, obviously we don't, we should never undermine our arguments by like, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:11 saying, yeah, deeply misogynistic bullshit things. Of course. Because, yeah, it doesn't help. But the argument still stands. reason that she is getting this kind of level of scrutiny is because she's incredibly wealthy and is using all of her mind to try and bring about the demise and safety of the trans community, which is, yeah, worthy of critique. Yeah. Oh. But fuck me, that HBO reboot looks bad. Yeah, I mean, and going through the little, like, posts that I
Starting point is 00:14:50 saw and the Pierce Week um like quotes from the actors who were like I do not agree with jk stunts I stand with the trans community but I love Harry Potter
Starting point is 00:15:06 okay um because I think what was it it was the director of there's like two two female directors that they approached that have now publicly said like no fucking thank you yeah who are they Alan No. Alan.
Starting point is 00:15:23 No, it was... Ellen. I don't know. Do it. Like, what I love. And it's like, yes. Stick to your morals. Also, like, of course, it's like infinitely more nuanced and we don't know all of these conversations and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:15:38 But it's just so embarrassing to then have these quotes of you out there being like, no, no, I'm on your side. But also, do you know how much money HBO is paying me? Yeah. And what this could do for my career? if more people just stop talking about it. Don't talk about that part. To me, this is so rings of power coded. And I just, we're watching all of this money get spent on something that is like a pale imitation of something that was done correctly 20 years before.
Starting point is 00:16:09 And it's like, you don't need to do this. Because you haven't changed enough to warrant this existing. You're using all the exact same aesthetics. you're using, like, you know, it's really weird. And I just, it's why, like, having just come off the end of, like, House of the Dragon season three, which, I mean, I'm not fully across everything that J.R. Martin has ever said, but to my understanding, he's like, like, so many of his characters are queer-coded or just queer or just gay. Incessity or, like, yeah, like, everyone's representing.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Everyone's there. It's Smash Brothers, really. They literally smash the brothers. Yeah. Well. But to come off, like, we've got Emma Darcy, this, like, now world famous non-binary actor, who, like, unashamedly has presented themselves very publicly as exactly that, which is fabulous. her character in the show
Starting point is 00:17:18 is bisexual so many of those characters like lead characters and their stories are tied to their sexuality and it's just such a and of course then many of them are murderers and rapists and having incest and all their stuff
Starting point is 00:17:35 you said bisexual I don't need to do that it doesn't get much worse than that you're so right but it's like here is the example a fantasy done well. And somehow the Game of Thrones franchise has managed
Starting point is 00:17:50 to not have all of those things that maybe you know, like the broader dude bro population would be like, no fucking thank you. Like the content's so good that they can kind of like turn a blind eye to it or something. Or maybe it's changing people's minds. Like that could be it too and hopefully that
Starting point is 00:18:08 is the impact. Yeah. But it's like to have such a stellar example of queer characters and creators showcased by HBO and then at the same time be producing this other content is boggling.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Yeah. It is crazy. It's just money. Yeah. It's just IP. Everybody is just like all the video games getting their own movies. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:39 All the things are getting rebooted. It's just people are like, what do we have in an IP that we can Great. Again. Which if you're a creative as an actor or a writer or a director and someone comes and offers you the like Harry Potter remake. Like number one, you know you have a really like outside of the industry toxic and overly in control author, which doesn't help for adaptation. Like famously, someone who is writing novels maybe isn't always the best.
Starting point is 00:19:14 screenwriter as she proved when she wrote Fantastic Bees. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then you have HBO Max who has too much writing on it to allow anything to go crazy. And then you have Universal who has a theme park that they're not going to re-theme when the new show comes out. So it's like, what would be enticing except for money to do this when you know that like, okay, what Chilla One look like? Well, it's like, well, actually, we've already ordered five million units. of this specific looking wand.
Starting point is 00:19:47 So you actually can't do any changes. The nobly sticks. Yeah. And you're like, as you go along, you're like, we just can't change anything. Like, oh, we'll do different colored robes for each house. Oh, you can't do that. Number one, the fandom's going to hate that.
Starting point is 00:20:02 We've already ordered all the robes for next year at the theme park. JK doesn't want you to do that. And it's like, it's not an environment that even if she wasn't, this problematic figure would be in any. any way conducive to anything creative happening. Because it's so locked in on all sides. Like you would get that job as an actor and you would literally just be like, now say it exactly this way.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Yeah. Or else the fans, the transphobic, boss or the giant money man will get angry at you. Yeah, yeah. And at the end of the day, you'll probably still get so much scrutiny. It'll ruin your life. Yeah. So it's just like, God. them.
Starting point is 00:20:45 I would never, like, it would just stay away from that fucking poison place until it's over. Like, let it get cancelled. Do you know? Okay, so like, shall we segue to something else?
Starting point is 00:20:58 Yeah, get us out of here. So, some of the new X-Men last being announced. Okay. And that's pretty cool. What do you mean new X-Men? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Well, it's not the new X-Men. That's a different group. You stupid bitch. but this is just the MCU version of the X-Men, which will be new to some, but they're not the new X-Men. So, I'm pretty excited about it.
Starting point is 00:21:26 I'm so excited that there is some relative, like, unknowns. There's no, like, top-tier, like, famoose people. That is fantastic. That's, like, exactly what I wanted. They're all... Oh, no, actually, that's a lot. I, Adam Driver. He's up there, right?
Starting point is 00:21:47 I guess he's being franchised. Lazy's completely disengaged now after I said X-Men. No, I'm listening. Marvel, No! Oh, well, we could talk about it if you want. But isn't that the exact same thing? Is it for the movie?
Starting point is 00:21:59 How is this different from Harry Potter? Because, like, I mean, in some ways it isn't. But in many ways, it's completely different. And that's actually quite, um, for you to say that. Well, tell me more. I want to hear your explanation. Because in, like, there is no one version of the X-Men or Iron Man or any of these characters because since their conception in the 60s, like, Marvel's What If, I think, has just celebrated
Starting point is 00:22:32 like 50 years of publishing. Like, comic houses, in particular Marvel and DC have had the, like, the multiverse structure always of like well we want to like take these characters that we love and put them in these situations but we don't want that to muck up like the key canon story or whatever so like in comics there has always been like the core marvel universe of 616 then there's like the step-sister the ultimate universe and then there is infinite other versions and all of that's convoluted and stupid, but it does set up this allowance for this to be like, yeah, it's a different universe. And they all, like, thankfully, now they all can coexist peacefully. But there was certainly a time where that wasn't the case because the riots were homes by, you know, different companies
Starting point is 00:23:31 and all of that bullshit. But now that it's all returned to the benevolent Disney, we can do things like this and it doesn't necessarily undermine anything else because it's not a hard reboot. It's just like, no, this is in this universe. Yeah. So in universe, it all makes sense. But as the, you know, unwashed masses, maybe it looks like a reboot, but that would be so wrong to call it that. Sorry. Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:23:59 That's okay. Wait, so you're saying, is this, sorry, I missed a little bit of context here. These X-Men. Samara weaving, Emma Frost. That's pretty good. These X-Men are going to be appearing in the Doomsday. Probably not, I would say. They're not?
Starting point is 00:24:17 No, they are. I don't think. No, they are. I saw the trailer. Are they not these X-Men? No. The X-Men. Wow.
Starting point is 00:24:26 The old boys. Yeah. Yeah, the old D-N. Not the new X-Men. No. But that's setting up for the X-Men movie. Maybe. And then we're going to do it all again.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Maybe. But bisexual actor as Scott Summers, quite appropriate. Yeah, like I didn't know Maya Boyd, but casting her to play Storm is huge. She's also a theatre actor, which is very exciting because we are one step closer to our camp. Queen Aurora, very exciting. The dude who they cast as Professor X, that's fine or whatever. Yeah, what do you think about indie Navretti? I'm very impressed by how quickly she got swooped.
Starting point is 00:25:19 She's locked in as famously my favorite comic book character. I think we'll find out in the next film what her kind of range is. Yes. Because I think she was really good in obsession. But I think it's a very specific performance style that allowed her to be really broad. But I think as well, it's always tragic to have a young actor's career cut short and put into... The franchise. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Which I think we're now hopefully getting to the other end of... I was listening to Matt Bellany on The Town, and he was just saying, like, back, you know, 10 years ago, people would get locked into these, the contracts with Marvel. And like Florence Pugh or whatever. Yeah. And like they got her just before kind of her big year of getting Oscar nombed for little women and stuff. And now people are starting to say no to being in Marvel films. Just because the financial payday is not worth the trade-off of like,
Starting point is 00:26:37 The constant, like being constantly on call to be in five of these films. Yeah, yeah. The Florence Pew contract was for five films or whatever. And then also be on the press cycle for like, you know, three months out of the year. And like, da-da-da, which just limits your, like, on the one hand, it makes you a more recognizable actor. So you can get smaller films made with your name alone. But on the other hand, it's like, when are you making these smaller films? if you're constantly
Starting point is 00:27:07 being... Yeah, flying around just being like, oh shit, okay, we've got to go back to London to shoot like,
Starting point is 00:27:15 you know, the reshoot of the final, you know, multiverse of madness. Yeah. And there's a, there's a little bit
Starting point is 00:27:24 of a tendency for them to become like Disney darlings as we see with Ms. Catherine Hahn. Yes. Watching her
Starting point is 00:27:32 be put on that D23 stage. stage as that like woman or whatever is so bizarre but it's very like yeah I think and and I and we're seeing like a lot of repeat actors from like Star Wars into the MCU yeah with um wait what's his name the like that hot guy who's in Starfighter and is now going to be ghostwriter he was in that space movie with the rock not the rock it's a rock alien Ryan Gosling Ryan Gosling Yeah
Starting point is 00:28:07 His name's Rocky Yeah The Rock I really love that movie I watched that the other week I was so cute Love it Oh we should talk about that next
Starting point is 00:28:20 Okay But I'm like Disney obviously can control Disney So it's like It's easier when you're in the ecosystem to populate
Starting point is 00:28:31 In many places Of course Because it's in their interest And yeah, then you see this like sickly reappearances. It's a bit gross. Yeah, totally. I mean, like, for someone like Catherine Hahn, I'm like, it's not like, with Florence Pure, I'm like, we haven't gotten that the work from Florence.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Yeah. Like we have just seen like the surface of like what she can do and where her career is meant to go and she should have like an Emberstone career or whatever. But instead we're like, oh, good. that Russian lady again. But the Catherine Hahn thing is like she slummed it for you know two decades
Starting point is 00:29:11 not slummed but like was character actress Catherine Hahn who like was always iconic but was just you know a friend in How to Lose the guy in 10 days or whatever so it's like her finally breaking through and finally you know the Agatha
Starting point is 00:29:28 Harkness Harkness? Yeah. How did you know that? It's been Agatha. all along. But like her having those breakthrough moments was so like finally this character actress is getting her dues. And so I'm like, just get the bag for a little while.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Yeah. Done your time. Yeah, totally. You've done a shit ton of indies. Like we know what you're kind of, you know. Yes. But yeah, I feel like it's just like yeah, with some like Indy Nevrette, it's like upsetting because like she was just in a really cool indie film.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Wouldn't it be amazing to see three more of those? before she commits to something so big. Yeah. And I'm sure like it's impossible if you've been like an up and coming young actress to like say no. Yeah. Even more for the teen wolf boy.
Starting point is 00:30:19 It's like they've all done TV. Yeah. Like well yeah. You're offering me half a million dollars for the first film and then a few million more for the next. Yeah, yeah. It's like. Please.
Starting point is 00:30:30 So you up to laugh. Yeah. My only issue with her is she's just so short. You keep saying, I saw you post about this. And I was like, Zelda, it doesn't matter. Rogue isn't that short. It's a film. They can do anything.
Starting point is 00:30:50 But she's often flying. They can't put her on an upper box if she's in the air. Have you seen him stand next to six-week-old women? No, I don't watch movies with him. He's so short. he's tall in the films they put him on apple boxes no well yeah that's my only thing although on the stage she was obviously wearing a long skirt to cover her incredibly tall heels multiverse for so long this rogue short get over it there's some things that are constant between the
Starting point is 00:31:17 octoberts um yeah that's my only that's quite literally my only critique of the casting so far we live in a universe of infinite possibilities just as long as you don't defy any the ones that i care about secretly. That's not much of a secret. Okay. Anything else we should talk about? I should love me cover that off. Wait, what do you think about Samara weaving?
Starting point is 00:31:42 She's also so down to clown. Like, the way that she's been dressing for, like, the few press moments we've had so far. Wait, who is she playing? Is as Emma Frost. Who's she? Diamond. Diamond lady. And I, like, I love.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I love January Jones, and I kind of enjoyed her performance as Emma Frost. But it is great to see it. I think, again, we're going to see quite a camp, like, evil version of Emma Frost, which is so exciting. Yeah. And she seems so into the character. It's just, like, perfect. I love Samara Weaving. I love her.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I love her as a scream queen. I really like the Radio Not franchise. Yeah. watched that recently. It was so good. It's so good. It's so fun. It's so weird. And I think she's just got like a, she is kind of giving Margaret Qualley in a lot of ways, like from the substance. Like she's got like a very similar like like huge plates for eyes. Yes, yes. Like screaming and being silly. Yeah. But she's also Hugo Weaving's niece. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. So they could do that, you know. Yeah. She could be.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Nice to the red skull Oh, he was the red skull Yeah, it was quite unfortunate Oh well, at least it wasn't Red Hulk He was the worst president that country was sure Harrison Okay Okay
Starting point is 00:33:15 Oh okay, so Apocalypse Apocalypse Oh wait did I want to say It's your turn Let's just move on shall we Okay, to Apocalypse So So, my apocalypse this week is everyone goes clubbing.
Starting point is 00:33:35 But people... But it's... Choose your own adventure. You either go to the club and you club until you die. Or you go clubbing. And you go into the street and you beat people to death at the club. Oh. And through either path, eventually everyone's club to death.
Starting point is 00:33:52 And the seals get it too? Oh, oh, oh. This is the remix. Is that you? Oh, oh. Oh. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Hey, that's quite good. The poor seals. Yeah. Yeah, I suppose. Like, it's the apocalypse. Everything's got to get clubbed. Hey, I agree. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Clurb. In the club. We're all family in the club. In the club, we all fam. We all fam. Did you see that Jennifer Lopez's on the floor just hit one billion streams? Oh, brave. They will not be the song that's playing in the clip.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Dance the night away. Dan, you're dead and then you're gone. Yeah. If you're a party freak then. Okay. Shall we? Yeah, yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Be right back. Hello, listening. Nasha. We've returned. We haven't said this, but as we are now back recording, you're back in the country, we have to clear out the mailbox. It just... It keeps happening.
Starting point is 00:35:11 It just is... It's full. Also, I do not at the end. Appreciate how much people like give us insights into what they're thinking, what they desire. Yeah. And that's helpful for us. It is. It's a finger into the bloods.
Starting point is 00:35:26 We're turning into like that those late night radio shows where people call in say, hello, Jan. It's Peter here. Oh, I'd love if we had a woman like that calling in. Talk back. You know what? I really don't like about talk back. It's like,
Starting point is 00:35:43 is like, is, the way I'll get it. It's like, or like any calling it on the radio. Also, it's like so glowing and pathetic. I hate it.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Oh, don't say that about our fan. No, not about that. About radio, radio, radio. Oh,
Starting point is 00:35:58 like when people call like 101.1.1 or whatever. It has to be live. But if it's pre-recorded, it's fine. Oh, yeah. That's fine. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I love it. But when you call in to be like, oh, I think that sound was the creak of a horizontal refrigerator lid being opened. Did I win my tickets to see, Katie Barry? Like that kind of shit. You know, like, those chest fridges? Oh, chest friezes. Anyway, thanks, Matt. Now I look stupid.
Starting point is 00:36:32 You're embarrassed her. It wasn't my fault. Whoa. It's like they obviously, or I hope, I hope this is true, that they have like someone curating the calls to be like, hey, okay, you've called in, okay, we're going to, we're going to put you through to Spino in, in, or whatever, I don't know, these people, like in a couple of seconds,
Starting point is 00:37:00 but they're going to ask you this and then, do you do it. Because it's like, hi, we've got Rachel. Hello? Hey. All right, Rachel, what do you think? I think it's the door on a garage. Wrong! And then they cut her off.
Starting point is 00:37:18 You don't like that. I don't like that. That's obviously fabulous. That's not how you end a phone call. Bye. It's not a phone call. I'll enjoy the rest of your day. And yeah, all right, thanks.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Bye. I don't have time for that. They don't have time for that. And that is so crushing. Because it's just like you've got three sentences. and then you are out. Yes, we've done the radio, Zelda. I know.
Starting point is 00:37:40 We know how quick it is. Yeah. You don't have time to do the pleasant. If you don't have time, then you don't have time, so don't do it. Well, obviously, people know what they're getting in for. Rachel knows what she's getting. She loves this show. They usually do some aftercare with someone else, like the producer afterwards.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Thanks, Rach. Call back in again to see what Spinner has to say. Once they mute them on air, they're like, oh, we'll send you a prize pack. Is that true? To be honest. To be honest. Do you know how much advertisers pay for that airtime? No.
Starting point is 00:38:08 That airtime is worth its weight in gold. Okay? So if, you know, Lou Plus or door seals or whatever is spending $50,000 for a national ad filling that airtime. And you're spending the same amount of time saying goodbye to Linda in Rosemont. Yeah. I think you made a mistake. Well, how does... Linda feel about that.
Starting point is 00:38:36 People will just tune out if there's a lot of chit-chat. Linda's feelings are not important here. Although there is a really great quiz on AM radio. I can't remember what station it's on, but sometimes I watch it. Don't say boring sentences like that on our show. Sorry, okay, wait. Listen, um, listen. Don't cut me off, she said.
Starting point is 00:38:57 It's, I'd listen to it sometimes on my way back from the gigs at like midnight. And people call it, and they do have a lot of chit-chat. Zelda, you would like it. Yeah. It's a quiz. So they kind of say like, oh, I thought it was this answer. And then she'll be like, no, sorry. You know, but call again.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Like, good to hear from you again. And nice to talk to you again. Oh, cute. Yeah. See, that's nice. Well, why don't they immediately say, your voice sounds gay? Yeah. Yeah, that's weird.
Starting point is 00:39:25 But anyway, I think that we're so generous. Because you can send in, you can speak into that hole as long as you want. And for some reason, we'll play the entire thing. for some reason yeah yeah we don't screen them no
Starting point is 00:39:39 I got these five seconds ago someone on the someone on Friday night of the viewing party was like oh you someone who was it oh god if you're listening
Starting point is 00:39:50 sorry someone I remember you whoever you are wait who wasn't oh my God what was the center yeah she was like
Starting point is 00:39:59 the other week you um were talking about like drag race quotes and you missed so many fabulous ones. And I was like, oh, it's because it was a speakhole and we hadn't, like, I hadn't thought about it.
Starting point is 00:40:13 But also, even if it wasn't, we don't think about these things anyway. But that's out, that's on us because you're so right. We did forget heaps of good ones. But who can remember in the moment? I dream of one day having like a very like, you and me and Matt all in a boardroom being like, what is the year look like for DTE? And then we're like, okay, so we've got out in turn. this is yeah like John is going to go away he's going to just do some deep research yeah um the
Starting point is 00:40:40 apocalypse what are we doing we haven't done any an apocalypse like this in a while let's put that up on the board yeah we'll have that in feb and then appeal to our younger listeners yeah we're gonna have this amount of social cut downs going out in the fall and that'll be amazing for us and we're doing a big push around awards time yeah and all of that but instead it's just our showing off in the day we're like we don't we don't we don't we don't we don't we don't we don't we drove past a fence today. Maybe we do which fence. And you know what? We're taking the same route here every time. So it's like
Starting point is 00:41:09 which fence? Have we done that? Which gate? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Which letterbox hole. Which slat? Yeah. Which fence paint color? Yes. Yeah, we haven't done that yet. Kind of which barrier to get into someone's backyard.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Which driveway? Yeah. Driveway. Yeah. Driveway. Yeah. The good thing about the speak holes is that your reactions are pure genuine. Like, this is not scripted. This is not scripted. We're just saying this.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Like, you're just listening to things we're saying. It's not scripted. And we're listening to things you're saying. Yeah. And we're just reacting. There's no pre-planning. That is a pretty fucking good segue to say. We'll listen to what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Jordan is tall. Jordan. We know you. We know you. Okay, so Jordan sent in a speakhole on the 22nd And then also send in a speakhole on the 23rd So I think we are going to go ass to ass and go Just listen to it all
Starting point is 00:42:14 Yeah All right, here we go Hello girls And Matthew I hope you're all doing well A short and sweet one I just wanted to know what form of accommodation Is getting into the house
Starting point is 00:42:31 Like into the house What type of living area? The big place. Yeah. Like we're talking like, my mom wants at a tiny home out in the country. We're talking like a McMansion in Turac.
Starting point is 00:42:44 Talking like a little an Anne Frank attic situation. Jesus, Jordan. Oh, like a Joseph Fritzel basement situation. Oh my God. Where is your mind going? What form of home house? Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:42:56 I said this is a good short one, but now I'm just rambling because I don't really know if I'm wording it correctly. but we are not. Hope it makes sense. If not, ignore this and choose a different topic. Love you, bye.
Starting point is 00:43:07 He's in love with us? I just wanted to say, happy 150 episodes. I think we're up to 151 now. God, it's your voice, sir. I feel like we need to reflect on our favorite moments from the past 150 episodes. And mine will always go down. My favorite is,
Starting point is 00:43:26 I think you were discussing which Super Smashers. Brothers character gets in. And you're having the discussion, and then Lazy goes. And then she arrived. She came in from the darkness. She's a beautiful woman who happens to be a little fitness instructor. And then Vilda loses her mind laughing, and it's very funny.
Starting point is 00:43:51 And I would love a recreation of that for 151 episodes. A hundred and fifty years. Thank you so much. Love you both. Goodbye. You're in love with us? God, this is one of those crushers. We did find one of your crushers.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Did we? They were commenting on how they were going to come to the show. Oh, they did too, yes. And I said, what? Why would you just say this unsolicited? Jordan, I think you have a voice for radio. Yeah. I don't think we do.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Oh. But I think that's what makes us unique in this age. Oh. We have good listeners. voice. Do you think? People used to say to me all the time, like, oh, you should do, you should be on radio. Oh, that wasn't because of the voice. I walked right into that.
Starting point is 00:44:40 That's the gaywin from the heart now. The most beautiful woman. That was a pretty good episode. We got Bayonetta, we got Wefit Trainer, and we got Mr. Gamen Watch. That's quite a Zelda moon triumph. Yeah. And for me too. I love that fitness instructor.
Starting point is 00:45:02 And the woman of Blazer, Indy Navrat. She's far too sure to be that yoga instructor. She's canonically quite tall. She is. Fitness instructor. Yeah. She's a, I don't know, she could be short. Yeah, she's tall.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Who are we going to get to play her? Okay. Who would play her? Ariana Grande. But also, like, proportionally, we have no sense of it at all she is. she hasn't stood on that scale. It's the Wii Fitboard. There's stories that people are posted online about,
Starting point is 00:45:37 like, fundamental early 2000s memory, being like a 12-year-old girl standing on the Wii Fitboard and being told your obese in front of your friend's entire family. It's so fun. Why did we do that? I vividly remember getting on that scale, being like, oh, God.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Where's it going to put me? I'm just a tiny girl. It's so evil. It shouldn't have an obese setting on a video game. But also that board, I'm pretty sure the weight limit was like 120 or something, which is not really that high. So maybe it was 130 or 150. But even then, like, I don't know. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Yeah. Get off. You're going to rule. and the we fit board. It's only fun if you're under this amount. I mean, like, I think this generation is obviously giving stiff competition for, like, random, like, ed-maxing stuff in the, like, you know, like, in the world where it's, like, eating disorders are just, like, being completely, you know, spot-lit in the culture.
Starting point is 00:46:52 But, like, fuck me, the early 2000s were, like, so evil. Yeah. Just if you were a young person. coming of age and you were like, oh, what's this Tumblr thing? And then it was like, oh, by the way, this is how you should be anorexic. And then you're like, what's this skins thing? And like, by the way, it also makes you glamorous. And by the way, what are the video games?
Starting point is 00:47:11 Oh, this video game, it calls you fat. Yeah. Why didn't skins make me skinny? You know? Why did none of that work on me? I'm not touching that. I think skins made me think about, you know, op shopping.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Yeah. Yeah. Doing drugs. I hated all the gay characters in skins. That, like, that twink blonde one. Oh, no, he was fine. I think the issue with that twink blonde one was that he was boring. Yeah, he was.
Starting point is 00:47:44 Why was the only gay character boring? Yeah. Yeah. But that effie. Trinket? What? She sent all those children to die. No.
Starting point is 00:47:55 She was so cool. I loved her. But remember that, like, last, last season where, though, like three episodes that featured like older characters. Yeah. You would have loved that in that kind of X-Men way. Yeah, it was okay. I really only watched season one and two.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Oh. I didn't like it once we lost the core players. The core, yeah. Okay. Okay, sorry. So, question is, what a bode. What a, what a bode? What a bode?
Starting point is 00:48:24 Like a, um, a, a triangle style. traditional like 70s tent A teepee? No Oh Like the two poles in the stream Yeah Like you know
Starting point is 00:48:37 Like a little tent Scout tent Yeah I hate a dome tent That is so ugly You don't like a dome No A geodesic dome
Starting point is 00:48:48 No Are you fucking out of your mind Because like Oh you want to stand up Then go outside That's not what the tent's for What about when it's raining Yeah
Starting point is 00:48:59 Lie down cozy in your little sleeping bag. I'm sorry, but what about if we want to have a little chanting circle? You can do that on the floor. In the... What do I want to cross the circle? Or stand up in the centre and make confession. I just think the domes are ugly. That is the most wild take from a woman who loves science fiction.
Starting point is 00:49:19 I do, I do, but I just... I love the traditional triangle tent. We'll then have that outside. You could make a village. When we used to go camping, because we used to go camping every year until I was like maybe 15 or something, probably because of the divorce. But I had like traditional like triangle tent.
Starting point is 00:49:40 Triangle tent. My parents had like the big like family tent that was like a big rectangle. They said that together. Yeah. They each got half. She got the poles. He got the top. No.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Well like mom and dad's room was at the back and then the middle was like if it was raining or if we were playing board games or something. And then the front. that like wasn't with the flooring was like the kitchen kind of thing. A mansion. It was a three room tent. And then my brother who like we were always in the triangle together. But then when he, you know, like, like, you know, aged out of the triangle,
Starting point is 00:50:16 they got him like a dome tent. And I fucking hated that tent. I'm beginning to understand your resentments. It's not about domes at all. It was ugly. That was my issue with it. It was like silver with a red tent. trim,
Starting point is 00:50:29 ugh, whereas my triangle tent was like a gorgeous emerald green. And did you ever get a dome tent? Why didn't want one?
Starting point is 00:50:40 I'm sure you didn't. And as the years went by because my tent was my dad's tent from when he was a teenager. Like, it would leak, but like not because
Starting point is 00:50:47 there was a hole, but just because the fabric was so thin. Like a waxed. Yeah. But it was so cute. And it had like the little window that,
Starting point is 00:50:55 oh, that like old style tent is so cute. I like the old style tents. I remember when we used to go camping without outdoorsy family
Starting point is 00:51:04 friends, my parents had one of those tents that, I don't know, like, tent construction has come a long way in the last, you know, builds itself 30 years. Get real. It's character building. But the way that tents used to be built was like, you'd have all the poles. They were not
Starting point is 00:51:20 like fiberglass or whatever. They were like metal. Oh, yeah. And they would have like little stickers that say like A, B, C, D, whatever. Hey, we're doing the alphabet again? And they would start trying to put up their tent once they arrived in like, you know, the afternoon. And my family friends would come and set up their chairs
Starting point is 00:51:41 and just watch them and laugh. Because they were like, it's incredible to see. Because my dad is so inept at this kind of work. Oh, my God. And he'd be like, fucking Jesus, fucking Christ! And by the time they were finally done in the depths of the evening, putting up this insane giant tent, which would leak and be a piece of ship.
Starting point is 00:52:10 Yeah. And it was like from the 70s. They would, he'd be so on edge that like the entire rest of the vacation would be like tinged with this. And like the cackling of our relatives being like, that's good. Yeah. Oh, that's good. Bill, you've got to put it.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Just put it down. Oh, yeah, that's good. It's amazing. I like it. Okay, so 10's like one option. Okay, but I saw a guy who was making a 10-car garage for a man, and he was making it look like a stone bond fortress, and they put up a bunch of styrofoam on the wall and carved it,
Starting point is 00:52:54 and then added fiberglass out of shell. They didn't have stone available. No, well, they didn't want to use stone because it needed to be, like, full wall as if it was carved into the mountainside. But it was like a McMansion. Oh, yeah. That's fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:08 It's incredible. Was there a white cat? A white cat? No, no, no. Oh, okay. Was Grace Jones there? She might have been, she might have been filming or behind camera. Okay, it's true.
Starting point is 00:53:19 But the man who does this is this Floridian man who does like really ugly renovation. That was really good, Matt. That was really good. Oh, you can't hear me. Yeah. Oh, good. I didn't hear it. But yeah, he's a man in Florida who does these really ugly renovations and things,
Starting point is 00:53:36 but he's, like, so incredibly skilled. Is he hot? He is kind. He's like, show me. He's like, I used to be hot. And then his son who films all the content,
Starting point is 00:53:45 who's like, you know, 26 or whatever, is such a babe. And then, like, they employ all these other, like, friends of the son to work at the company.
Starting point is 00:53:57 And, yeah, I'll show you. I'll show you. Yeah. Show me. Show me. Please.
Starting point is 00:54:02 His name is John Layman Studios. John Layman. Ew. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Oh. Oh, no. I don't know how to find this. I'll send you this. This is someone who makes xenomorphs. He also made a xenomorph. Oh, I'm into this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:24 And then it was the person I said, ooh, too. You don't think that guy is like. Like clearly, formally hotty? Yeah, maybe, baby. Come on, let's be real. Let's be so real. The abode that I'd like to talk about is the elevator. Oh, go on.
Starting point is 00:54:43 A temporary abode. Just during your transition between different heights, like Indy Navrat playing road. And, you know, you get in at the B and you get off at the pH. And that's what I call being that big. You think you're in pH? Honey, I am the pH. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:04 That's called the pH. Balance. Acidic. That's you. I'm not acidic. What do you mean? Are you think I'm in the pH because I'm acidic? That is anti-smelling.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Fuck you. Acidic. There she goes again. In her cockney accent. The crazy thing to say. Do you think I could do? Because I love doing so. Because I love doing a South African accent that I should do Shalise Theron for Snatch game.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Okay, give us five seconds. No, no, no, no, I'm not ready for five seconds. Your Calypso, go. No. Come on. She doesn't have a South African accent. No, which is weird because she's South African. Maybe you could be Chippy.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Chippy. I'm chippy. Sorry. Chippy, the robot. Chippy. Who else has got? famously a South African accent. Oh, why?
Starting point is 00:56:03 You could be Yolandi Visser. No, I couldn't be. Racist and cancelled. No, I don't want to be that. You don't want to be that? No. You'll never make it in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Okay, so an elevator, that's a good one.
Starting point is 00:56:20 What do you think with elevators, do you want a mirror or do you want wood paneling? You know what, David Jones in the city, you get both. Have you been in those elevators? No. They are actually beautiful. They are like untouched by time. They like have the like little circle buttons for the levels and it's all wood panels. I don't think that that's unusual as you think of it.
Starting point is 00:56:43 No, but like like brah. They've got little circle buttons. No. Ye oldie. Fuck. Yee oldie. Yes. It's a beautiful elevator experience except that it's within David Jones.
Starting point is 00:56:59 five elevated fuck okay what a boat makes me feel the most at home um
Starting point is 00:57:06 you know mm-hmm California and bungalow I do like that I like that a houseboat houseboat scares me oh yeah
Starting point is 00:57:15 I don't want to be in a house yeah I don't want to be anywhere near a boat if you had a boat would you have a harpoon
Starting point is 00:57:23 attached to it no or like harpoon on board I'm just waiting for that harpoon to accidentally go off and shoot Vera through a chest
Starting point is 00:57:29 Yeah, and then bring her back to you. Get over here. Did I tell this story on the pod? No, I did. Just that. Your lie about the boat journey. Yes, you did. I'm very condoned and I'm like, I don't want to fall off a boat because I fell off a boat already.
Starting point is 00:57:47 I love a cubby house. Beaten only by a tree house. What about a pillow fort? That's in a boat. I like a pillow fort. floor. Me too. Oh, when I was in high school, my friend, who I won't say because of what I'm about to say next,
Starting point is 00:58:06 used to like always turn my wardrobe into like a pillow fort that we would sleep in and jerk off together. Oh. What? As we go on, we remember. Sometimes the closet is a literal closet. Except only for me. He's like, oh, well, maybe. I mean, he's like married with kids now.
Starting point is 00:58:29 Well, yeah, so many gaming now. Yeah. If he came out, I'd be so fucking mad. You reckon? We couldn't spend our lives together. You would have wanted that? Oh my, absolutely. No, you don't want to be with someone you got within high school.
Starting point is 00:58:45 For him. For him? No. Yeah. What does he do now? He's a butcher. Honey. You're a vegetarian.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Yeah, it was never meant to work. And yet, there we were. Romeo and Juliet. he'd come home spelling of chitlin and... He always fucking stank of meat. Ugh. That was so disgusting.
Starting point is 00:59:07 Was he a butcher in high school? Yeah. What? It was from a line of butchers. He worked there and then he did this apprenticeship. Yeah. And like when I'd go to their house, they all used to make fun of me
Starting point is 00:59:19 for not eating meat. And I was like, jokes on you. I joke off with your son. And why did you say that in the dinner table? that actually that's so funny that's also so insulting for you to go to their house as a vegetarian what you're flying in the face of their entire
Starting point is 00:59:38 like you're basically saying if everyone was like you they would be they would have nothing yeah you would destroy their life I used to buy veggie patties from the butcher so they were catering to me they tolerated me in more ways than one I don't know that they
Starting point is 00:59:54 yeah doing off with this I'm not joking off their son sometimes that line was blurred now that I think about it yeah sometimes I'm scared of you oh I was eating meat Matt Matt this is the issue you always take it to this weird sexual place
Starting point is 01:00:18 Zelda's trying to tell an innocent tree house cubby house story and you're suddenly talking about her gobbling butcher's son meat Yeah Can you just keep it together? Oh sausage It should have been something about a sausage. For fuck sake.
Starting point is 01:00:31 This is why we don't have, you know, a Peabody Award. Yeah. This is over. And don't make any pee and bodies. Yeah, but no, that line was blurred in both directions sometimes. So that's the joy of, you know. Jenkin' in it. Pranking it.
Starting point is 01:00:50 Yeah. Discovering things. What? a head. Actually, okay, so Matt, yes. Do you ever jerk off with friends in high school? No.
Starting point is 01:01:05 No? You've covered this on the park. I know, but like, I didn't believe you then and I don't believe you now, so I'm just going to ask again. Matt wasn't innocent. No, that never happened. Oh, now it sounds crazy. No, it didn't.
Starting point is 01:01:21 That never happened, what you're saying. I heard of that happening in other years. Yeah, we have a whole episode. about this. Yeah, go back and listen. If you want to find out about Matt's boring childhood, can go there. Anyway.
Starting point is 01:01:36 Oh, no, sorry, that was really... Anyway, anyway, anyway. So pillow fort. Not just for the jerking off. Well, that wasn't even a pillow fort. It was made mostly out of wardrobe. Yeah. So, like, this pillow needs to be the main ingredient.
Starting point is 01:01:51 Okay. Well, I've raised some good points. What else can be able to do? Certainly that's enough. Oh, true. What else could there be? What about, um, no, you go. I was going to say, you know, in Kill Bill, that person that lives in that snake's caravan?
Starting point is 01:02:08 I suppose the snake doesn't. There has been a tiny home setup available on Facebook Marketplace. Originally it's listed for $24,000. And when I first saw it's like a little caravan that's been recond into a bathroom, vintage style. It's orange. And it's really cute. It's clearly coming from like a glamping site, but it comes with a glamping tent and a bathroom. And the thing that it's just happened is they've dropped it by $10,000.
Starting point is 01:02:38 And despite the fact that I don't own land or anywhere like that, I feel like I should buy it. I feel like I should buy this and set up a glamping site. I was just going to be my iced coffee. Sorry, Zelda. Were you, did you want something? No, I actually won't for nothing. I wanted this can to be open at all. That can that I bought for you at the 7-Eleven has now been used as a fucking tool to destroy me.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Go on. What's happening with your tiny home purchase? I know someone who won't be invited to the inaugural day. It won't fit in there. Not many will. Indiana Redwood. That's all. You go.
Starting point is 01:03:26 No, don't say that's all. No. I've got to check on the, on Simone, because she's being cancelled right now. Oh, my God, listener. This will have died down, hopefully, by then, but what a crazy time to be on the internet. It's insane. It was out last night. I saw Reese and I was like, you know, everyone in the Philippines is trying to kill Lisa Mann right now. Oh, all too much. Because they had a gaffe.
Starting point is 01:03:56 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Matt, Matt. Matt, Matt, Matt. Yes, yes. Have you watched the latest episode of Drag Race? Yes. Okay. Wait, what?
Starting point is 01:04:04 I'm just saying, be careful what you say. I just wanted to say, Matt, when you think of diamonds. No, we are not talking about this. What color springs to mind? That's all I want to know. No comment. Yeah, thank you, Matt. Great.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Okay. Also, yeah. Yeah. Um, that's, yeah. Yeah. It's hectic. It's hectic. Heckers.
Starting point is 01:04:28 It gets us we save, but... It's transparent all over again. What about a yurt? I love a yurt. Okay. What about an, um... Hmm. What about like...
Starting point is 01:04:39 I love a yurt. What about like, I've bought, I've, actually, I'm a homeowner. I bought an apartment in the city. It's, um, three square meters. Yeah. But it's mine. Well, I love... I love anyone that, that just makes it work.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Uh-huh. But I also, you know that never too small YouTube show that is never too small. Yeah. About the apartment that are never too small. Like the person in Japan who goes to all the tiny apartments? Is that what you say? They do have episodes in Japan. Cool.
Starting point is 01:05:12 But it's people that have like renovated those tiny, tiny square footage homes. Yeah. And they're like living life luxuriously because they put in a ladder and a loft bed. Uh-huh. And it seems pokey. Yeah. Most of these houses seem pokey. but with nice design
Starting point is 01:05:27 you don't notice as much and then some of the houses you're like actually get bugged I'm not living in that what do you think about the phenomena on YouTube of like I bought a Parisian mansion and it has like
Starting point is 01:05:40 50 million views of their like episode by episode renovation of like decrepit thing that I bought I bought an abandoned school in the Japanese mountains for one dollar and like that might be true but like my point is
Starting point is 01:05:55 can I buy that and then make one YouTube video and it will pay it off. Because I'd love to do that. I also feel like those videos, I'm watching one of them, like pretty religiously about this woman in America who bought a school. And I'm like,
Starting point is 01:06:10 this is taking too long. Yeah. Call me up in three years when I can just watch a time lapse. Yeah. Like, come on, hurry up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But also as they're doing the renovation, I'm like, huh, that's okay.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Yeah. Yeah. Actually, do you think I should do the block with Kerchin. Yes. Yes. Sorry, what? I think we should.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Yeah. This is the block. Maybe Matt doesn't think you should. I think that could be a make or break. Like, I think if I was dating someone who was above, like, who was an actual carpenter or trady, which I think the majority of the people on the block are, I would be, I'd get on fine as an assistant to someone who's really got their shit together, knows how to renovate.
Starting point is 01:06:57 Like, I could, I could definitely help. Sorry. Whereas I think if I'm the person who knows more about how to put things together. Yeah. And then curses there as well. That's probably a recipe for disaster. I think, here's the thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:15 You get on. You're charismatic. Yeah. You're entertaining. Yeah. That is all working. Yeah. Your eye for design impeccable.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Well, do you want to know what I, this is maybe. Oh, you go. Taste level will be above all the others. Of course. The can do attitude, the 20 hour days, tick, tick, the finished product will look impeccable. And when they come to inspect, is this environment safe for someone to per semit? purchase and live in, you'll be disqualified from the show. And, yeah, given a giant fine.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Yes, yeah. Because the amount of money that they'll need to do to gut the apartment and make it fit. Why did you add asbestos? Is where that would be the downfall is what I would predict. So week one inspections, I've never really seen the show, but I think it would be like, what have you cut here, Robbie? And I'm like, so we decided that the bathroom credenza needed a bit more razzle-dazzle. And we love Priscilla.
Starting point is 01:08:34 So what we've done is we've added tiny little mirrors. And now it's a mirror credenza in the bathroom. And then we like got a chrome paint. And we put it on the ceiling. It reflects the light beautifully. But we weren't done. We decided to add a leather shower in a black leather and a five-man shower. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:09:00 And then, you know what I mean, Trudy? And then we added three pink flamingos. Just a bit of fun in camp. Yeah, and the floor has been done in a like red plethora. And that would be my new identity and like a Chilean television. We just started to go bunk wild this week. Oh, okay. We turned the breakfast nook into a glory hall.
Starting point is 01:09:39 We turn the kitchen sink into a douching station. So you can flush out your outside before going to the new living space, which is also the fuck palace. But it's got a cheeky disco ball and a black and white portrait of glory gamer. Don't pick that up. That's a color piece of clear hose. I don't need that. It's sharp.
Starting point is 01:10:18 It's really stressed out. Oh, no. Now we photographed Mind Curgents chains and had them replicated in 3D imaging software. And now they're the tap. That'd be pretty good. Yeah. Who is this new person? The block.
Starting point is 01:10:43 That's who I could be on the block. The block rubby. This is the black. But I'd be Rob. Oh, you'd be Rob. I'd call, um, Kay. Rob and Cage. No, I call him K.
Starting point is 01:10:57 Kay. Kay. Oh, you're really, uh, my little sugar baby. Oh. We met on the apps, Tony. Who's Tony? I don't know the host. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:11:14 I'm stressed out. of my fucking fendie shirt right now. I'm up to pussy's bone. And can you, what, what happens when you go on the walkthrough of like one of the other apartments and see how they did the bathroom? This is my talking head. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, I thought what Tiara and John were thinking.
Starting point is 01:11:34 And I, I said, honey, gosh is far. And then it'll be bleeped because this is Channel 10. Yeah, yeah. And like, honestly, I wouldn't even let my dog Tutsi sit in there for five. minutes. Yeah. And then Tootsie would be like, zoom in on Tootsie. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:51 And it would be like giving a, wh-wr-oh-wr-and like scarring away or something. Yeah. And then have you put in your, um, your claws that like Tootsie gets a few talking head moments as well? I'd beholding Tootsie. Oh, yeah. In all my talking heads. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:10 And I'm like, I'm so sorry about Tootsie. She's taking a shit. But I wish I could say this. same. That's my review. You know? Yeah. Okay. Like, oh, the wet space, the drop space. Oh my God. I do want a wet room.
Starting point is 01:12:27 But not the way you think, Trudy. This week is another safe week for us, but I'm still going to pop the Kylie Rose anyway. Oh, he sounds like he's had too many drugs in his life. Yeah. Well, we lived in Queensland for about 10 years. That's where we met. I was living in a high rise there.
Starting point is 01:12:51 Oh, fuck. Lost too many brains cells. Yeah, my septum did coblaps three times. Okay. I was working under Vidalta soon. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Can we just put in like a Barbie dream house and move on? Yeah. Okay, great. We'll be right back. Christ. Okay, welcome back. Vishna, hello. We've composed ourselves. And now it's time for more speak hall.
Starting point is 01:13:47 Speak into my hall. It was completely anonymous. So who knows what this is about to be. but we'll listen. Oh gosh. Hi, Celestial Goddesses and Maddie Real Girl. Just letting Zolda know that I did have a crush on her. And then when she said she hated bald people,
Starting point is 01:14:12 I thought of my bald patch on my head. And I knew it could never work. So maybe you need to lower your standard, Zolda. Love you, bye. Can I just say? Do you hate bold? people? That we don't have a topic to talk about now.
Starting point is 01:14:32 Thanks so much. And also, I don't hate bald people. I'm sorry. Go on. What's all? Do you want a date? Depends on the person. Lower your standards, bitch,
Starting point is 01:14:44 says the person with a crush on you supposedly. Yeah, but also don't speak so poorly of yourself. I wouldn't be lowering my standards. Go on. Because that would insinuate that being bold is of a lower standard. Which is the thing you have explicitly said.
Starting point is 01:14:59 That's not what I've said. And I just want you to know boldies. I love you. It's not true. I love you. Maddie Real Girl loves you as well. Oh my God. Not Maddie Real Girl.
Starting point is 01:15:10 I just was going to skate right by that one. I would be, if I had the option, I would be eating Christopher Maloney's ass right now. And he's been bald for 30 years. So, you know. Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Calm down. All right. So if they've got money yet. okay. That is not why I would be face deep in Christopher Maloney. Eh. So I think you're going for the hottest man and saying that's the exception to your bald phobia. No. Yeah. There are bald listeners that I have had sex with and would like to have sex with. Name them. No. Well, she can prove it. Oh my God. Show us photos. I can, I can say it off air. Let me tell you, listen
Starting point is 01:15:58 I'm not. She hates the bold community. She's always hated the bold community and it's insurable. She's actively trying to take away their rights. Yeah. She's the reason the manosphere has so many issues. The reason all those men are lining up to go to Turkey.
Starting point is 01:16:14 Oh, my God. No. Okay. You got to sleep with three bald men. Have we put a bald person in? Have we put a bald person in? You're so right. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:16:25 Maybe, baby. We have the Grand High Witch. Ah, hey. Bold women, yeah. Okay, so to beef out this section because... I don't think we have to beef out anything. It's fine. Oh, true. We've been recording for five hours. No, there's two follow-up emails from Igilu.
Starting point is 01:16:46 Who sent in the Swamp Hog fanfic that we've read out. And in response to that after the episode, We got this email that said, brilliant. I was crying at Zelda's pig squeal while driving 100 kilometers down the highway. Rather dangerous, really. And then she also said another email after that. It was unrelated that said dragon voices. When you hear Zelda talking about getting paid for dragon voices,
Starting point is 01:17:23 and then in brackets drag invoices, and then she sent a GIF, which I can't share with your listener, but it's of a very hot man saying, yeah, that fits, I think because Dragon Voices, drag in voices. Drag in voices. It would make sense that I would appreciate dragon voices,
Starting point is 01:17:43 etc. Well, I'm glad you beefed out that section. We've both had comedy bits now, you with your thing and my Dragon Voices. Rag invoices Okay Okay well we'll be right back Oh really?
Starting point is 01:18:02 I wonder who had that crush on you Yeah who was that God Who is it? Okay All right Now Okay
Starting point is 01:18:23 Okay Welcome back Hello listener Hi Okay Third and final Speakhole of the day This one is from
Starting point is 01:18:31 Liam Hello celestial goddesses and spacecar driver Matt. My name is listener, and I wanted to first say that similar to previous listener, I also shed several tears at the ending to The Witchy Girls versus the Future. And then I rewatched the episode several days later with my boyfriend and cried a second time. Thank you so much for that. Apropos of a recent discussion topic on the pod,
Starting point is 01:18:55 I'd love to know which Marvel Rivals skin gets into the bunker. Perhaps that means the character wearing the outfit, or perhaps it's just the outfit and the bunker residents can take turns wearing it on some kind of roster system. I don't know, it's your bunker, whatever you want. Anyway, sorry, lazy. I know you'll hate this topic, but if it makes any difference, I've been making sure to log into Reddit each week to give you a down under versus the world runways, a 10 out of 10 in the user-submitted episode polls,
Starting point is 01:19:22 and I encourage all listeners to support me in this mission. There's no prize or anything, but isn't the support of the audience better than $50,000? Probably not, but rigging a Democratic president. is in your favour is kind of fierce anyway, right? Absolutely. Anyway, thanks for the great podcast. Love your content. Thank you and goodbye.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Well, I will be saying my fucking runways have been getting torn us under in that polling. Really? I'm like ending up at like 4.5% out of 10 or like... What? Yeah, I'm like, excuse me. Oh, you could just give me a 10 out of 10. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:57 Thank you, listener. Oh. I appreciate you. Yeah. But I also don't because what you've done to the next five minutes of my life. Say more about this poll or whatever? They just said like in the Reddit, they put up like a little poll where it's like, rank this out of 10.
Starting point is 01:20:15 And for the contestants, it's like rank the contestants. And then for the outfits by the judges, they'll be like, give it a score out of 10. And then they put us in like a ranking order. So it would be like, Michelle inevitably was like, she gets a 6.5. and then Reese gets like a five and then he gets a 4.5 What? I know. And I'm like, I put on nails.
Starting point is 01:20:41 But last week, Blue Hydrangea, obviously, looking like a Sailor Moon villainess. Top the poles. But yeah, I don't know. I think as well, it's like, I mean, make of it what you will, but I think the, I talked about this last week, the issue of I should have just dressed
Starting point is 01:21:00 for carnival every week. because I think a lot of drag race fans now are like, did you not spend $50,000 on ostrich feathers coming out of your back in a giant headpiece? Yeah, yeah. Because if you haven't done that, then you're not doing drag. Yeah. Times are tough.
Starting point is 01:21:18 I'm just too modest. I think, yeah, they're very, very, like, small-scale drag. Yeah. Wow. That's what I thought was meant to be the case. Okay. Okay, so in the effort of, you'll have no idea what I'm talking about. you'll have no interest in looking at anything that I send you.
Starting point is 01:21:39 Here's what we should do. In Marvel, there's so many locations. One of them being the Savage Lands. The Savage Lands is in Antarctica. It is a prehistoric settlement where dinosaurs live freely, and for some reason it's tropical weather in the middle of Antarctica. and you know Mr. Sinister lives there sometimes there's like Sauron famously like half-terodactal half-person
Starting point is 01:22:11 Sauron? Yeah. There's more Johns in the world than just one too, you know? Sauron. Yeah. I love that character. He's a real screamer. But in the Savage Lands,
Starting point is 01:22:29 you're obviously under threat of dinosaurs and then the jungle and etc. So your clothes often get tattie and ripped apart. And there are some really fucking cunty hot Savage Land skins in Marvel Rivals and they are my collective pick of them. Obviously. The most famous like Savage Land costume is rogues because Rogue is a smoking hot babe and her outfit is outrageous. It is literally just shreds a fabric on her naked body. I do like that. which famously rogue has always been hot but reveals almost no skin because if her skin is out then she could accidentally touch someone and absorb their essence so she's you know um covered up
Starting point is 01:23:17 because she cares yeah but in the savage land her god because what she respects god oh right modesty yeah maybe um so that is good there are um for some reason some other, and now I'm just going to send a photo of this. Oh, you know what? As a bonus, there's Magneto there with his Savage Land costume, which is also in Marvel Rivals and a really good pick. But, yeah, I've just sent through that image now. So in Rivals, for some reason, Elsa Bloodstone has a skin and her hair has more volume than rogues, and I'm quite mad about that. But that's, so that's not getting in. Then Captain America has one, but he kind of looks not quite it. Magneto Savage Lent, what? I just have never dissociated more than now. I feel like
Starting point is 01:24:12 I'm in Oklahoma. What do you mean? Magnitos is pretty cunty and his little butt looks great and he's also exceptionally hairy. But rogues, it has to be rogue Savage Land skin. And if you can just look at that, I don't, I'm not saying we put rogue in. That's not what I'm saying. I think we put in these tattered shreds of rogue's costume and a big stick. And it's a costume that people may endeavor to put on. You know who would look great in this? Bayonetta. Why don't you wear this next week in drag?
Starting point is 01:24:47 I would love. Maybe I will. Maybe it doesn't look like it would be that hard to make. No, I actually would love to do this. Why don't you do this? It's just the exposed mid, mid section with like the corset. It's like, it always looks weird. Could you do a double layer, something else?
Starting point is 01:25:06 Like... Like another tattered thing beneath? Potentially. But yeah, that's just the issue. If I had a... You know, if I was a waif, I would wear this. Or if I wasn't hairy. But like...
Starting point is 01:25:21 Well, you have to be Magneto. Hmm. You're going to have to play as Magneto again this week. You're too hairy. Now, you've both looked at this image and none of you have said anything about it. She does look amazing. It's giving like...
Starting point is 01:25:32 What should get? You know. Fuck me. It's giving, um, you know. Yeah. It's giving Rita Hayworth. Okay. Kind of vibes.
Starting point is 01:25:47 Yeah. What else is it giving? I don't know. She's like, not Rita Hayworth. Who is the diva? Fucking hell. Rakell Welch? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Rakell Welch. Is it Rakell Welch? Welch? Yeah. She looks like Raquel Welsh in that film. Fantastic Voyage? No. One million years BC. Oh, I haven't seen that. Is that good? I haven't seen it either. But like, tell me that poster is not the same. Also, is disclosure? No, end of Oak Street. Is that going to be fun? Apparently it's like a really good dinosaur movie. Dinosaurs. I'm excited to see that. Ooh. Check that photo of Raquel Welch. And tell me or not. seeing rogue. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 01:26:36 Absolutely. That's great. Obituary. She's not... Her obituary? Listen, I didn't check the reference. I see. So we're doing that.
Starting point is 01:26:49 Okay. Savage lands. It's time to go to the Antarctic and put on a bikini. See, you were listening. You got it. Thanks, sister. Who was that listener? And why have they decided to destroy my life?
Starting point is 01:27:06 I'm going to start playing my... Here's what I'm going to do. Okay. I'm going to start playing Marvel rivals. Oh. Get really good in secret. And then start playing on servers under an alias. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:27:19 And then Jennifer, reveal to you years later that you've been playing with me the whole time. Oh, God. I haven't told you this because it's going to make you so mad. I've been playing. Um, Fortnite with a listener. No. And he's boyfriend. Listener and a boyfriend.
Starting point is 01:27:40 Yeah. Wow. The three of us are running around. They've been protecting me because I hate the game and it's ugly. So I'm just there for the vibes. You know? What vibes are those? Like, being in a thruble.
Starting point is 01:27:51 I'm having an orj with a listener. No. Oh. In fact, no. Who is the listener? I'll, the one. Yeah. Well, no, I don't know why I'm being.
Starting point is 01:28:02 about it. It's like, it's the one who keeps sending the boost juice vouchers. They're bribes to get you to play. Yeah, but I'm trying to convince them to play rivals with me and it's not really working out. It's not working for anyone, is it? But get this, get this. Would you actually get this? My friend, live, you know, live. Live, live.
Starting point is 01:28:23 Not live, but the other live, like makeup live, not H&M live. Yeah. I have two friends called Live. I've been playing big walk with her. Oh, finally. Which is so cute. And when we were playing the other night, I was like, Oh, Liv, would you ever indulge in playing Marvel rivals?
Starting point is 01:28:43 And she was like, fuck, yeah. And I was like, have you ever played a game like that? And she's like, I've played Overwatch for like years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years. Live, get it together, bitch. So how good's that? Well, no, it's not good. And do you know what is so depressing about that story? What?
Starting point is 01:28:59 My dear friends spend six. years making a glorious, amazing, intimate game about going on a big walk. They put it out into the world. You play it for five seconds with Liv and say, do you know what? Let's just scurry on back and play Marvel Rivals. We are getting so far away from you being the cool indie game player that I have dreamed of. Get real.
Starting point is 01:29:26 Because everything turns into the same Marvel Rivals sludge. That is not true. I've had it. We've been playing that game for hours. And I actually have other people I'm going to play with probably tonight. It's so cute. Listen to, if you haven't played Big Walk, can you get it and go on a big walk?
Starting point is 01:29:44 Yeah. It's so cute. It's amazing. I can't believe how well it's been received. I'm so happy that people love it. It is like a really beautiful experience. Yeah. I highly recommend.
Starting point is 01:29:58 I also hope that the game of the year chatter continues and they win. because I think it'll piss off so many dude bros. 1,000%. And they already pissed them off when they won with Goose Game. Yeah. And I love that it's going to happen again. Mm. Some form.
Starting point is 01:30:14 Yeah. Okay. And you'll be crying that they didn't crown Savage Lands Rogue as the winner of Game Theater. No. No, I'm not that crazy. That'll be next year. So this week, into the bunker, we have Barbie Dreamhouse
Starting point is 01:30:34 Do you want the house to it? We have M. W. The letter. I did say that. You said that. I said it.
Starting point is 01:30:43 All right. All right. What else did we say, Matt? This is the Marvel Rivals. No bald people. What? So why did you say that? Just the Marvel Rivals.
Starting point is 01:30:56 No bald people allowed. That's right. We didn't have a middle category because Baldi rang in. Oh, yeah. Well then All right We'll be back next week
Starting point is 01:31:09 Goodbye We love you Oh Unless you're Hitler and you're listening Then I don't love you but lazy does apparently Unless you're bold Hitler In which case she hates you doubly Just quick
Starting point is 01:31:27 I feel like I've said this before But I fucking hate in like content Or like in inspiration things are blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, you're beautiful and what you're doing is really important. I'm like, you don't know who's reading that. Yeah.
