Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, listener. Hello. We've been sitting here waiting for you to turn your phone back on, and now we're back into reality. Did you know that we only exist when you hear us? That's not true. Stop making up silly fibs. It's actually not the truth. Also, when you look at us, those two times, the rest, back to nothingness.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Don't. When I was... Don't say that. I kind of All children think that at one point Right Only if you're kind of Like
Starting point is 00:01:05 Background character Oh And a child knows that kind of Well I certainly thought that a lot What did you think? Like that nothing exists Unless you were interacting with it Yeah
Starting point is 00:01:19 Well it's true Kind of Kind of That's crazy That's crazy But that's good At least you exist It means if I stop watching, I don't know, Tom Cruise films, then he ceases to exist.
Starting point is 00:01:34 And you're doing that right now. Without even trying. Well, now, you're invoking his name. Oh, true. I do want to get to know Tom Cruise, though. Why? I want the cake. He's a ass.
Starting point is 00:01:46 We've already discussed this. The coconut cake that he sends out to people for Christmas. Oh, yeah. Christmas. The Cruz Christmas cake. Hello, everyone. My name's Zelda Moon. Hi, everyone.
Starting point is 00:01:58 My name is lazy Susan. This is Daddell. Everyone! Our Wicked podcast where Our wicked podcast We discussed everything that happened in the magical world of Oz.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Yes. This week we'll be diving into the Wills. The 1984 classic starring Dana Ross. Get on down. Get on down the road. I haven't seen it. I don't know if it's from 1984 either. What do you mean you haven't seen it? I haven't seen the Whiz.
Starting point is 00:02:29 What do you mean? You don't like Diana Ross? I didn't say that. You don't like Joy? I didn't say that. You don't like scary people on roller skates? Oh wait, is that return to us? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Return to us. No, no, no, no. It's the Whiz. Isn't that the same thing? No. Okay. Anyway, fuck. This is why we have the podcast.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Our weekly podcast. About the weeks. Sorry, you go. We've got to get out of it. here first. Where we talk about a range of fabulous topics, sometimes, the land of ours perhaps. And from those topics, we pick the best of the best
Starting point is 00:03:07 to put into our doomsday bunker because indeed, once death has come to everyone and we experience a apocalypse level event, the bunker is all that will remain. That's right. Including Rebecca Romaine. Of course, we have our amazing producer, Matt, who is driving our space car as well
Starting point is 00:03:27 and seems to be... Clicking a pen. Well, I think he's got an oil heater on. Oh. And the oil is starting to heat up. And now all I can hear is the drip, drip, drip of boiling hot oil. I'm just practicing some... What are you going to say, Matt?
Starting point is 00:03:41 What sort of disgusting depraved thing is going to exit your mouth about that? Shut up. I'm not depraved. See, already with the harsh words. Is that your kink? No. What are you talking about? Matt, would you like to say hello to the audience? Hello.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Hello. Thank you. That's all we need. None of this kind of misogosh that gets us constantly blackballed in the world of podcasting. Blackball? Shut up!
Starting point is 00:04:07 Wow. Matt? Those words have impact. Yeah. Think before you speak. Okay. So it's been a wild week. Zedda, how are you?
Starting point is 00:04:16 I'm good. What's happened? What's happened? Okay. So, listener. Tell me what happened. As you... Tell me.
Starting point is 00:04:24 As you know. I need you to tell me. We are getting ahead of ourselves because Lazy's going overseas. So we're banking them up these episodes. That's right. So we're mere a few days ago. X-Men 97, season two came out. The first three episodes, oh, it's good.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Oh, it's really good. Oh, shit, it's so good. First episode, focused on the future, where Apocalypse is at his peak. kind of, or ready to return, but also it's, Apocalypse is an ex-man villain. Of course. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Storm conjures the solar flares from the sun to charge a ship or something. Of course. That was pretty cunty. And she has a high ponytail now. What about that? Did she have low before? Well, no, she was not really one to tie it up. Yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:05:26 And now it is. So that's pretty good. exciting. I'm glad I waited 20, 30 years for that. And then, so that was great or whatever. It was a very like cable centric episode, which like cable's great or whatever. But no, I don't know. You watch the TV. What? That's when you're watching cable. Then episode two focuses on the present. And can you get ready for this? Because the intro, like the episode starts and you're like, okay, cool. Now we're going to be like, back at the core timeline where they're trying to rescue the X-Men who were like
Starting point is 00:06:03 sent into the future, sent into the past. Not days of future past, of course. And then the intro starts, but what's this? It's all been redone and it has a slightly more electronic beat because the present day for this season is going to be focused on X-Force, like the X-Force team. And the whole intro is redone for X-Force and it's fucking sick as. do you know what I want to say after I watched maybe three minutes of the show the other night at yours? Here we go.
Starting point is 00:06:35 If you knew that there were other moments in time that you could go to as an ex-man, obviously you're a fighting team that has incredible abilities, they go to the future. Wasteland. Terrible things are happening in the future. And they're like, get me back to New York. Are you not a hero for all time? Well, they help there. They did help. We didn't watch the whole episode.
Starting point is 00:07:03 They did help. How much? Why are they trying to get home? Frigin Rachel Summers was there. Can't they stick around and solve problems? They're fine. But also Rachel brought them there. Obviously, they're not fine.
Starting point is 00:07:14 The whole place is a fucking shit show. But that's why they need them there. They need some cleaning up. And at that point, once you know... You watch three minutes of a three minutes. Anyway. And then... What's you know?
Starting point is 00:07:28 that there are places that need you more than New York City in 1997, it is incumbent upon you as a hero to go to that place and help them. They did. That's why they left cable behind. Why are they not leaving them all behind? And then, in the present day in X-Force. One guy. What?
Starting point is 00:07:49 New York doesn't need 10 X-Men. Oh my God. One guy, they're leaving them one guy for their shit whole planet wasteland. Jubilee has this whole moment set to Verucasol and it's so Kunti. It's amazing. And like the timing, like, obviously there's a lot of like ice parallels and everything. Obviously. Obviously.
Starting point is 00:08:15 But, oh, it was just so fun. And Polaris turns back to the good side. But even that, oh, it was just all so fun. And then the past episode, episode three, to catch up with, you know, Rogue and the other ones that got sent back. Where is she? In the past, in Egypt. Doing nothing to abolish slavery? Well, actually, no, directly trying to abolish slavery.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Because they're back in Egypt when they're like, well, I mean, there's slaves around. It's ancient Egypt. How else are they going to get those fabulous pyramids? Exactly. But it's at like the dawn of apocalypse. because Apocalypse was born back then. Yeah, I saw that shitty X-Men movie. Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Oh, God, it was so bad. What fun! They were amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Extremely dense episodes. There is just, like, so much going on. You actually can't look away.
Starting point is 00:09:14 But so fun. And can you believe that at the end of the last season, Magneto pulled all the adamantium out of Wolverine, and then this season, in episode one, he's like attacking people and all of his stupid bone claws are snapping off that would really hurt and they grow back of course how did he pull all the adamantium out of him well adamantium he was metal you think he would have done that a while ago he could have done it at any point and so why did he do it now because um warvery had a philosophical different view and was going to kill magnino in a bubble I thought they were always against each other no it's much more complex than that
Starting point is 00:09:53 Oh, Magneto, I don't think there's any coming back from that kind of behavior. It's more of like a will-day-wain-it-were-than-one-the kind of thing. Yeah. Wow. There's been more tension with Morphe and Wolverine. Do you think it's going to happen? No. But I wonder how they'll address it.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Because they've only had really, like, one scene together, but it's of morph friggin, like, melting into, like, Wolverine's eyes. So tragic. He's, like, staring at him longingly. Oh. Yeah. But Wolverine doesn't swing that way. Wolverine has no idea.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Oh. You know in the comics there's this like, like low-level story of like, like Wolverine and Cyclops being in a three-way with Jean. Oh. Because they're both obsessed with Gene. Yeah. But then like Scott sometimes is with Emma. But that's different. Why is that different?
Starting point is 00:10:47 Because Wolverine would never hook up with Emma Frost. Oh. Obviously. Obviously. So wait, they are fucking? No, well, there's like, there's just a lot of, like, tension. Do you think the world would be able to handle
Starting point is 00:11:02 if there was a whole Wolverine gay subplot? Yeah. Do you think they'd be into him sucking and fucking? Yeah. Because there are, like, a lot of Bogan straight boys that have Wolverine tattoos. Yeah. And it would suddenly mean they have a gay guy tattooed on them.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Well, bisexual. Oh, sorry. It's not the day of his ability. I mean, one of, one of Wolverines is it his son Dakin he's bisexual he's hot yeah right yeah but not Wolverine not explicitly okay but you never know I don't know yeah okay horny anyway so that's been great that happened to me this week watching those three episodes amazing um um oh oh it's like an eventful time oh my god I was like when the X-Force intro came on I was like sobbing on like out
Starting point is 00:11:51 I don't think you need it to share that Some things you can keep for yourself I'm so excited I was so cool What? That's cable! But it should be Xavier As I've seen 5,000 times before Raising his little wrist
Starting point is 00:12:14 And then Apocalypse in place of Magneto Wow Because you know different stakes in the 90s I do love it When people change their opening theme songs Without telling you Yeah, it was super fete. Like, Buffy.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Yeah. Oh, it was really fun. Yeah. Anyway, did you watch anything this week? I mean, did you do anything this week? I had a delightful time, as you might have known a few weeks ago, was the Melbourne magician magic week. Of course. And Melbourne Magic Week, I didn't know what's happening.
Starting point is 00:12:46 And I also don't really often engage in the dark arts of magic. but Ms. Sheridan Sky invited me to go and see tickets like, you know, go and see a show Abrake a dickhead which you might have seen advertised if you've been on Facebook marketplace at any point recently
Starting point is 00:13:07 because it feels like that's where that sort of show should live just more in a side banner and had I only taken that and just left it to live there as a show so we went in And there are just like sometimes where you live in a city, you know, years and years and years, but you seldom, you know, visit some places. And the place where Melbourne Magic Week was happening, I guess one of the hubs, one of the festival hubs, was the downstairs auditorium of a city hotel just up near like the Melbourne Uni KFC area.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Oh, yeah. And we went in and this place was. lit like the sun. It was a lit. A liddy. And there were stressed out looking people running around the pull-up banners that had hastily been printed and designed. Well, they'd lost their doves for the show.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Yes. Well, no. Had that sort of kind of whimsical chaos been happening, I would have been so impressed. However, this was not the case. This was just regular misorganization kind of or disorganization kind of stuff. So there was people in T-shirts hastily made pull. up banners of AI art of a rabbit being pulled out of a hat. And then all the banners for different magicians who are doing shows.
Starting point is 00:14:32 And let me tell you, there is nothing like a banner for a magic show. Such raised eyebrows. Sometimes one up, one down. That's a good one. I think that is the standard. But yeah, so this room, and we're getting kind of like, pushed through this building that like the easement doesn't make sense because like everyone is going everywhere there's a lot of people who have come into town for this and by that of course I mean like
Starting point is 00:15:06 absolute pogans coming in for the magic show and I was like I have I live in this city and normally if I go somewhere I will recognize someone I didn't recognize a single person yeah I'm like who are you We're about, and magician is like the inverse, like, dark version of drag. Mm-hmm. Because it's like a kind of useless skill. It is so fringe that it doesn't really matter. It's quite eccentric. But, like, there are really good versions of it.
Starting point is 00:15:35 It does happen in Vegas. But, like, you know what I mean? Like, it has this weird cult small following. And this is, like, I was stepping into the alternate universe. Oh, God. And there was really, yeah, we're getting forced down these stairs. They had a little kiosk before we went to go and see Abrake Dikhead. Why has it called that?
Starting point is 00:15:57 Oh. And then they were serving hot chocolate with marshmallows and rumbles. Rumbles? And so the Kujan said, I would like a hot chocolate, got a hot chocolate. And it was literally like school camp hot chocolate, like three scoops of powdered thing with water. and it was just like watery, watery chocolate. Ew. Like, water with this slight smack of cocoa powder to it.
Starting point is 00:16:28 You know, Nesquick? Yeah. But did I talk about Nesquick a couple weeks ago? No. I had Nesquick a couple weeks ago. But when I stayed at my brothers, the following morning, I had strawberry Nesquick. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:16:44 It was like, I mean, kind of a blast from the past, but also I reckon across my childhood, we probably had like three cans of Nesquick. Like, it wasn't in constant rotation. Yeah. That was Milos job. Yeah. But Nesquick is so fucking weird.
Starting point is 00:16:59 It is weird. It just, like, it's not like, like any other flavored milk. No. Version of things. It's weird anyway. It is weird. Yeah. And that rabbit?
Starting point is 00:17:10 I don't like that. I wouldn't trust that rabbit. No. He works for Nesley. They're all evil. Evil. Um, so then Kodd, and was like, can I, the guy behind the kiosk was like, do you want some much sugar in that?
Starting point is 00:17:21 Shout out if you want sugar. You're like, in the hot chocolate, do I want a sweet beverage? No shit. And then they're like, actually, I will grab just a spoonful of sugar. He pulls out a giant bag of sugar. And then pulls out a little teaspoon. He's like, how much? And then we're like, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Wait, this is like a catering company? This was like, I guess the hub of the, the annual magic festival. This was their hub kiosk where people could get like a beverage or whatever. Yeah. Anyway, so then all of that's happened. We go into the show.
Starting point is 00:18:03 Yeah. Which was running late. So we're all packed in, squished on top of each other, uh, waiting to go in. And like the way that the easement walk is like when people leave the show, like they all have. have to push their way through a crowd of people that are waiting for the show.
Starting point is 00:18:22 And then there's like an accessibility ramp that they've set up. But by virtue of how badly this space is designed, this giant metal ramp is now in the center of a staircase. So it's like people are kind of vaguely getting forced to trip over this metal ramp. It's like every part of this is a nightmare for every single person involved. and then we go in and the guy, the abracadic head, the eponymous abracadic head,
Starting point is 00:18:55 gets up on stage and it starts, this is like the trial show. So I don't want to discourage you from seeing the abracadic head if this is your, I don't know, wait, it's still available? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Well, not by the time of this. But I could go? I think you probably could. I don't want to. I think you should. Really? I mean, yeah. But this guy gets up and he's done like a, I think you can tell like what's happened in contemporary fringe shows or whatever is that they have to have like a meaning or a story.
Starting point is 00:19:27 And so he's like, this is me when I was 11 years old starting to do magic. And then he puts up a picture of himself starting to do magic. And then he does like when I was 12, the biggest magic trick I ever learned was typing in 580808 on a calculator and turning it upside down. And it said boobs. And we're like, oh, that's so nice. And then he just, like, goes through his life. But, like, picking up and dropping this concept that it's about the narrative of his life. Because obviously nothing has happened except he started doing magic.
Starting point is 00:20:02 And then he continued to pursue that. And then now he's here in a conference hall of a shitty hotel in the city. And judging from the giggles, I think Matt would enjoy this show. Oh, it sounds great. But the thing about all the magic was, it was impressive. He had some amazing close-up magic and emphasis on the fucking close-up. Because it's a 300-seater room. You can't see shit.
Starting point is 00:20:31 And he's like, now sign this $5 bill. And I'm going to quickly change the $5 bill into a $50 bill. And then he snaps at three times. And you can't see what the fuck is happening. There's no, like, camera with a screen? What? You'd think. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:47 You'd think. All the sound cues were late. Everything was weird. And he was like at one point, he's like, could we get a cordless mic? Can we get a cordless mic? And he's like talking to the person off stage. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:00 And he's like, oh, my wife has disappeared. Where'd my wife go? My wife is meant to be helping me tonight, but she's actually just not backstage right now. Okay. She's left him. Well, let's keep going. She's gone forever.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I know. I was like, was her mistake in the first place. Well, it was her. opportunity. He's stuck on stage for an hour. So she can finally escape. It's her only time off. The magician's power. But then she, he was like, it was really weird. His whole thing
Starting point is 00:21:26 is that he's got like a nervous, nice guy personality. And then this like weird extra part of him jumped out where it's like, he was like, oh, my sweetheart wife. She's not there. But you could tell he was fuming mad at his sweetheart wife.
Starting point is 00:21:44 And then finally she like, came on stage and gave him something like later on. And you're like, give it up for my beautiful wife. And she gets it right. And it was like, oh. And his whole thing was like dweeby. Like he hot? Okay, so I need you to look at this man.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Tell me his name. Abraka dickhead. Wait, wait. Okay, wait. Last thing I was looking up. Dragons from House of the Dragon. But the Then he gets up
Starting point is 00:22:20 It says no results for Abruca dickhead There must be results for Abraka dighead Did you mean Abra Buckhead? Mine says Liam LJ Jumpperts Liam Jumpperut
Starting point is 00:22:37 What? Jumpverts As in like jump Jump? Jumpberts It should come up It should come up Certainly it's coming up.
Starting point is 00:22:45 Oh, it's a Z. Cool. Anyway, so then we... Oh, no. Hang on, I'm just loading it up. Oh, no. Oh, no. You could have just said no.
Starting point is 00:22:57 But... We saw his entire life. No! We saw his entire life. We saw his entire life. Why does he have a goon bag on his head? It's magic. We saw his entire life.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Abrake a dickhead. He does look like he's a fucking dickhead. We were trying to decide whether he was like... He looks like a Muppet character. Like Christian. He could be 23 or like 43. And he could also be hosting like a Melbourne Drive radio thing. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Oh, sorry, Abricadee. But I don't like this. Anyway, say more. Okay, but Zelda, I'm going to send you something because I think as we had seen his whole life. Wait, why is he wearing high viz for this part of the show? No, that was his old show. Oh, Abrake...
Starting point is 00:23:49 Construction worker. Well, obviously. Obviously. But, okay, I'm sending you... What was the old... I'm just sending you... Magic safe. Oh, instead of work safe.
Starting point is 00:24:04 That's hilarious. There was a moment in his life where he was, I think, someone that was your perfect man. Oh shit, he was hot. Oh no, he was so cute. What happened? That was only five years ago. Got married to that.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Oh, the old ball and friend. Although in this one, he is wearing a fedora. That's the sort of boy you would like to date, I think. No. Is that no? Because that's true that is your destiny? No, no, it's not true. It is your destiny.
Starting point is 00:24:42 I don't think my destiny is to date anyone at this point. Also, oh wait, that episode hasn't gone out yet. I was going to say, why has no one revealed their secret crutches on Zelda? Oh, yeah. Good luck. We've got a long time to wait. We've been banging out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:01 So the show is going on. He gets someone from the audience, which he does 10 times. The show is going forever, and it's incredible. he starts doing this trick where he like does whip tricks you know and he gets someone to hold out a piece of dried pasta spaghetti in front of them like in a thing and then he whip cracks it and then cuts it in half he cut the spaghetti in half yeah with the whip from like a distance like a long spaghetti long spaghetti held out like this you know and then he turns to the crowd and he says do you want me to make it shorter? and then they're like, yeah, make it shorter! And then he whip-cracks it again and makes it shorter. And the diva from the audience, this like sweet autistic man, oh, I love that autistic man.
Starting point is 00:25:59 It's like kind of hamming it up. Yeah. This is their moment too. Oh. This is why they came to the magic show. Yeah. Because one day they will be. That's time.
Starting point is 00:26:10 And then they'll like, do you want to make it shorter? And they're like, make a shorter? And then does it. And like you see him fully snap the whip over the hand of this man. And it was incredible. That's cool. And the show ground to a halt for a second as he was like, oh, are you okay? Are you okay?
Starting point is 00:26:37 That wasn't meant to happen. and he was like oh, there's a rehearsal show everyone and then the guy walked off and he was like, please, are you okay, man? Are you all good? And that was incredible because he just whipped someone.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And then, yeah, there was... That wasn't meant to happen. No. And then the finale... Wait, which part of him did he whip again? His hand. Ouch. I know.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Wipped his fingers off. Literally imagine if he just cut his hand up. I'd have been clapping. But then the final standing He would He would just would sound a bit sloppy But then the finale of the show Was like this
Starting point is 00:27:19 This long form thing where he was like I'm going to pull a card Then you have that card represents a number of digits Then someone from the audience Who's holding a monkey Has to read like just think of five digits And then I'll put them up on the whiteboard
Starting point is 00:27:36 And we do that Why would anyone in the audience be holding a monkey. Because he threw a monkey out into the audience and it just hit a woman in the head and then proceeded to every time it got thrown, which was eight or nine times, mind you. So we're just sitting there thinking like
Starting point is 00:27:52 the show should have ended 10 minutes ago watching this like soft toy monkey throw around the room and he's like, okay, so now you've got to give me 10 random numbers. And the person in the audience is like, seven, nine, zero zero
Starting point is 00:28:11 one and he's like writing it down and he's got someone on the stage she's like now put that into the calculator and plus plus
Starting point is 00:28:19 and then he's like now throw the monkey and then it's the next person and then they grab the monkey and they're like okay now give me eight numbers one and we're like sitting there
Starting point is 00:28:30 and this dramatic music is playing but it's like looping because it's saving it's and then finally has all these numbers and he's like now let's add all these numbers together. And you're like, okay.
Starting point is 00:28:41 And then he adds all the numbers together. Now he's like, that leaves us with this number. And now... Is the fucking calculator about to say boobs? No. Which you'd think. Yeah. Because then it would narratively tie back.
Starting point is 00:28:52 But it didn't. Because by this point, he'd forgotten that he was taking on us on a journey through his life. And so we were just like, in this like weird... In his present. Yeah. And then he went down and he was like, do you remember before when you gave me that $50?
Starting point is 00:29:07 dollar note and we did that magic trick and I was like yes it seems like eons ago and went up that woman and he's like come back up here and she's like okay oh no what no first I'm so sorry before I put this pipe out in the audience with a certificate inside
Starting point is 00:29:23 can you bring that to me and then he opens it up and it says the real answers on the back of the puzzle that's on the like stage and then he goes up under the stage flips over this puzzle that have been on stage and then it says the real answer is on the $50 note.
Starting point is 00:29:39 And I'm like, bitch, if you do not hurry up, like, come on. The magic is dead. Yeah. She died. And then the woman's like, I have the $50 note. And he's like, you're losing them. Why don't you, Valet? Why don't you come up on stage, goes up on stage.
Starting point is 00:29:55 And he's like, can you read me the serial number on the $50. Oh, fucking hell. And then it's like, she says it. And everyone's like, woo, woo. Because it was exactly the number. that had come up after. What is that possible? I know.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Incredible trick, but I can't see the fucking serial number, so I'm not impressed. Yeah. Like, Deva, what do you mean? All of this is magic for when you're like so close. I cannot see the note. How would I be able to verify the magic? You might as well just have people telling me like, imagine if this happened. Like, it's magical for that one woman who's holding the note for everyone else.
Starting point is 00:30:38 I guess we'll take her word for it. So you can't just be happy for that one woman. I could never be happy for one woman. I'm happy for all women. Oh, okay. All women that didn't have to go to this show or be married to the quizzical mist of this thing. Anyway, and then he was like,
Starting point is 00:30:54 we have some merchandise. You can come on the way out if you want to buy a beer cozy. You can buy a... Oh, my God, I thought it's going to be a magic eight ball or something. Imagine if he had magic things. Yes. Oh. A beard thing.
Starting point is 00:31:08 I think that he like at the end was like holding pieces of strings and he's like my life was like getting torn apart many times he's tearing the string and then he's like but now because of the love of the audience and he's holding all these torn up pieces of strings I feel like I'm being put back together and then he unfurls the long string and I'm like oh okay
Starting point is 00:31:31 tear it up tear them apart And then so we went out through the weird haunted back rooms And there is like literally imagine the set from the back rooms Okay Low ceiling Partially turned off lights Partially turned on lights
Starting point is 00:31:53 In the weird back rooms of a fucking conference room in the city That has like I can't even express you Had no ambience It's empty In the middle of this room is a single table with beer cozies and pens and that magician blocking the exit and someone standing there kind of waiting like if you want to get a photo with me in this dark room so we can always remember this time and then I'm like maybe I will for crime stoppers but then the
Starting point is 00:32:31 other thing is that he's like we also have t-shirts you just have to put in the order on red bubble Oh. You mean if I put it in today in three weeks out, I could be an abricad dickhead. Ew! And then we were, it was just... Wow. Yeah. Is he Melbourne-based?
Starting point is 00:32:53 I hope not. I was going to say, it feels a bit like, I don't know that he's doing too much else other than looking up his own name online every couple hours. I think he might be... There was footage of him... If you're listening to this, Aberdickhead, you said it, I guess. If you're listening to this, just know, Zadda would have dated you.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Five years ago. Five years ago. Get the fedora back. I also think there's definitely like a world where, like, you could absolutely have dated a magician. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like if, yeah, you'd be like, oh, that's cute.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Yeah, no, like, absolutely. No, like, sorry. Like, pretty obvious. No, seriously. Like there was a Melbourne magician that it was quite infiltrated with for some time. Yes, quite physical. What I will say is what the tragedy of magic is in its current state. And listen, I'm no expert.
Starting point is 00:33:50 I've only seen three minutes. But what I will say about the current state of magic is like back in the day, like when mysticism was like in vogue, like in the 30s and 20s, you'd be like, you know, then we went to Morocco and found this enchanted orb and I bring it back to you now to show you the secrets of the extra, you know, blah, and people would be really bored in on this kind of idea
Starting point is 00:34:17 that there's like this unknown world. It's from somewhere that's not here. Mummy's cash, and that sort of thing. Obviously, with its own issues. But people were excited about this idea that there's like real magic happening all around them. Modern day magic, everyone's like, it's a trick.
Starting point is 00:34:35 You know what I mean? Like the whole mentality is like, I know it's a lie. Yeah. And so as a result, magicians have to be this kind of like, cucky, like,
Starting point is 00:34:45 simpy boys and be like, is it okay if I do this little trick? Kind of like, there's no, there's no, like, you know, like at least like back in the day
Starting point is 00:34:55 with David Copperfield, yeah. It would be like, Ripley's, believe it or not. You know, like he would, his investment would be to try
Starting point is 00:35:03 and make you believe in magic. Yeah. None of them are trying to make you believe in magic. They're just trying to be like, can I trick you? Gotcha. Yeah. Which I'm like so lame. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Bring back pretending we're going in to see like a magician. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do like a magic spell. Yeah. But all of them are so irony-pilled, and we are the audience, that like, we're not allowed to just be like, I am Zanzibar the Great. Yes. If there was a magician that was doing that shit, I'd be, well, I'd be horrified.
Starting point is 00:35:33 but I'd be also excited. You know? It's sad. I think the same thing happens in drag a little bit. Back in the day, they'd be like, I am the most beautiful woman that's ever existed. And now the audience is like, it's a trick.
Starting point is 00:35:50 That's a murder, honey. Yeah, exactly. Literally. We know you're a man. We know your secrets. Yeah. Yeah. And also if you see a drag queen's show,
Starting point is 00:36:02 they're like, my life has been crazy. but now I've been put back together Excuse me Would you like me to cut your spaghetti in half? Oh sorry I've taken out an hour I mean if you were performing Smashing glasses I want to do it with crack so bad
Starting point is 00:36:23 I think the difference as well is that when we asked the audience for money We just took it and never gave it back and didn't mention it again Like does anyone here have five dollars for this magic spell to work Thank you You know, the person that I took the money from was my friend Bell. And then later she was like, so you got that $5? Did she answer her back? Well, no.
Starting point is 00:36:47 But she did say that. And then I messaged her being like, Bill, do you want to transfer you $5? She was like, no. But I think she actually meant yes. Yeah. Well, you're never getting that fucking money. Well, no one asked me for that money back.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Yeah, was that a stranger? Yeah, I don't know. Cool. But I loved it. There was more money in that crowd to take as well. All right. We could have taken them for at least 25. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:13 And they'd be like, the serial number is 1.025. Wait, does that... The existence of serial numbers on notes mean that every single note has its own serial number? Yeah. That's cool. I think.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Yeah. Or it's in lots. I don't know. I don't know. Matt, do you know the answer? I think every note would be different. God. but that's so many numbers.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Yeah. How? Okay. Just a moment. Oh, no. Are you like to say something crazy? Something stupid. How does money work?
Starting point is 00:37:44 No. How does money work? So, if there's 10 digits in a mobile number and there are. Are there? Yeah. Oh, 4, 2, 5. There's 10 digits, meaning there's, no, that's not how, no, that is how numbers work. That's like one million potential.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Because one million is 10. No. No, no, no. No. No. Anyway, there's a lot. This is some sort of trick. But there's more people in this country.
Starting point is 00:38:22 No, there isn't. There isn't? Then 10 digit numbers. Is it? No, bitch. How's it? How do you don't run out of mobile numbers yet? Or maybe my question is actually when, what happens when we do?
Starting point is 00:38:36 Oh, that's a good question. Matt? Are you sure we haven't run out? Well, so a million is a seven-digit number. Seven digits. Oh, six zeros, not nine- zeros. Sorry, I was thinking about nine zeros. Oh, we've got ages. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:38:51 I wasn't. But I'm glad we can put that to bed for you. Do you know, when I started doing like my dragon voices many moons ago, oh. I was like, okay, well, obviously, I want to set myself up for a long, time because I can't be going changing how many zeros I put in front of you know like am I doing like three digits for my invoices like zero zero one or am I going to do four or am I going to do five digits because I can't I can't get to your invoices just going up forever
Starting point is 00:39:27 yeah you're not resetting them at the end of each financial year no oh you're like this is my it's like L to D life today kind of thing. You don't have to put zeros in front you can just... No, no, I do. Because then it's planned out. The spacing on my invoice.
Starting point is 00:39:46 So when you get to the end, you're going to like finish drag. But, yeah, but... My soul is free. How many zeros did you put? I actually can't remember up, but it was a lot. I think it was four.
Starting point is 00:39:57 I think it there four digits. Hang on, one moment. Anyway, but that was a real... You know, that took a lot of courage. How many gigs is that? How many invoices? Well, she's up to three. Okay, I'm checking.
Starting point is 00:40:08 The very last invoice that I've sent is invoice number 95. Ah. Oh. I did five digits. It's invoice number 0-000-095. Just in case I do, what the fuck is that? 100,000 gigs. 99,000.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Yeah. So, you know, I've got a while. No, that's that six. So it would be only 99,000. 99,000. Look, six. Anyway, I'm not going to run out. is my point. And that makes me feel quite comfortable.
Starting point is 00:40:39 I'm just a bit worried. You've only ever done 95 gigs? No. Like, since invoicing on this new model. Okay. Yeah. And the moment was that like last week? You got this new one? No. When did you get it?
Starting point is 00:40:55 Like, I've been doing invoices like this for maybe like four years. 95 gigs and four years is fine. It's pretty good. Yeah. She's a gig pig. Actually. I didn't know you were doing like that. Oh, Princess Diana would have turned 65 this week
Starting point is 00:41:11 Oh, God Can we start the show? Yeah, we've been talking for 45 minutes already. Sorry much. Oh, well, this is a near one-hour episode. Yeah, we've got to zip through. I'd like to apocalypse. Apocalypse, go ahead, home.
Starting point is 00:41:26 And sorry, listener, I won't be doing a apocalypse-themed apocalypse. The mutant apocalypse. I won't be, no, I'm not doing that. A gigantic celestial being has made a trip to Bunnings. Bunnings, man. And she's bought a pressure cleaner and sprays it directly into the planet. And it does what I'm scared. Pressure cleaners will do if it sprays accidentally on my toe when I'm washing down the asphalt or whatever.
Starting point is 00:42:02 And burst through. Mm-hmm. Is that possible? Sure. Yeah. It cuts her hole. Yeah. So that's what happens.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Cool. Well, what a great apocalypse. Okay, shall we head on to the first round? No need to discuss it. Yes. Don't you ever think about that? Pressure cleanser is so full on. They're not powerful enough.
Starting point is 00:42:24 There are, like, water lasers that they use for things. How do lasers etch out of rocks? Did you see that Willem Defoe video? If someone etching Willem Defoe's face into a rock, but it was just with a laser? Lasers are very powerful. traded beams of light. Where did the rock particles go? They were obliterated with heat.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Yeah, but there's no visible vapour or like crumbs. Grums. Magma. Okay. Answer me! It's time. You haven't seen the Willem Diffo Rock video.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I'll send it to you. Oh, please do. Hello everyone and welcome back. This is going to be our very first set of things we're deciding between what will go into the doomsday bunks. Now, our very first category here today is which resident of Springfield
Starting point is 00:43:31 will go into the bunker? Obviously, we'll have to find someone to play them in the bunker. But yeah, Zelda, have you seen the show The Simpsons? Simpsons. Yes. Oh, so cool. I have. I like it a lot. Some of my favorite characters, the Cat Lady, throwing cats. Um
Starting point is 00:43:55 Who else do I What? Um I think that I like the bear in Mr. Burns's office Yeah Yeah that's a good one Uh
Starting point is 00:44:07 What's this fucking rock Wait have you seen this Are you looking I'm just on my angry eye No No that's fine I like Agnes Skinner Yes
Starting point is 00:44:16 Seymour Who are you talking to down there? Can I just say something of that actually Yeah You know when ex-president or whatever it was moves in across the road? George Bush. Yeah. Like, okay.
Starting point is 00:44:32 That building wasn't there? Yeah. We've never seen, like, there's not enough real estate for a plot of land for that to happen. Yeah. We've spent 10 seasons building up our knowledge of this small town. Honey, they change it all the time. Yeah, but that is so egregious because it's like opposite the house. The canon of that street needs to be respect.
Starting point is 00:44:53 No, I think it's cartoon. It's cartoon, baby. Is there a world where I didn't like the rock video and now I can't find it in my liked video? For those of you listening, Zelda's trying to find Willem Defoe being caused by a laser out of a rock. Yeah, it's amazing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Yeah. I like Marge Simpson. Oh, yeah. I think she's a really lovely woman. I like her jokes. kind of the most. Did you ever go to like a house back in the day and they'd have like a framed picture with all the Simpsons characters bundled in together?
Starting point is 00:45:31 I kind of coveted that image. I'm just... But then I also didn't want it because what happens when the next episode comes out? Well, then my post is outdated. I don't like that. You don't like that kind of idea. Yeah. You kind of feeling.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Matt, do you have any favorite Simpsons? I like the little old man. It gets run over all the time. Hans Moleman? Moll man. Yeah, Mr. Mulman. He is good. You're gay for Mo Man.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Yeah, Matt's gay for Moorman, everyone. Help me. What is his voice like? Help me up. That's all right. Oh, yeah. Down I go. Do you know all the Simpsons' voices?
Starting point is 00:46:13 Do I know them? Oh, I found it! Oh, my God. 4.8 million other people have found it. How about that? I can imagine this being a thing. Wait, I like the iguana. Jab, Jub.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Patti and Selma. Do you know, I really, I think that their lives early on is something that I like and relate to the most. Wait. Just two twins who live in like a shitty apartment with like an iguana. Yeah. That's fab. And they all have those like fabulous. Remember when they try to get Marge ready to go out and she like, they put on her clothes?
Starting point is 00:46:48 Yes. They're like absolutely too big. Yes. with a giant rack. And, yeah, I love that. It's relatable. Can I help? I'm watching the engraving happening.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Okay. Yeah. Just why it's humming. It's, God, it's taking a second. So, listener, you could go to engraving COF on Instagram to find this laser video. But look, there's no dust particles.
Starting point is 00:47:13 There's nothing. Just his face slowly emerging in a haunting fashion. Well, I'm glad we did it. It's fucking cool. You know what? you could do next, fill that with silicon and then get a little, a little, will them? So, Zelda, Springfield. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Where would you like to go? Oh. I stay on track with me. Jub, Jub, that's good. Oh, that's what I was going to say. There is no way that a organization such as like Vic Rhodes Springfield would allow siblings to work in the same branch. Oh, you don't think.
Starting point is 00:47:49 That's an HR nightmare. can't do that. I reckon they would in Springfield, though. But they, well, maybe they would, but they shouldn't. No, definitely. But a lot of things seem to be going wrong. No partners. No relatives.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Do you not allow that to the Shelbyville branch? You don't allow that in your store? No. What if people become housemates? Yeah, then that's the loophole. That is? Yeah. And then they can live...
Starting point is 00:48:12 You actually can be housemates, but it's not great, is it? Why is that? Because what are you going to go home and what are you going to talk about? about work. Yeah. And like... You worried that the workers might rise up and kill you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:26 Worryed about rebellions. No, it's just not... It's just not good. Mutinies. They'll have bargaining power as a block. Like, do you think it's good that Vibe and Coco live together? Yes. Oh.
Starting point is 00:48:39 Well, it gives them bargaining power. Is that seriously a policy at your work? You can't hire people who live together? No, you can live together. But it's just like... But it's frowned upon. It's not the best. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:50 But you can't work in the same store as your relative. Really? No. But that was also the same at other. Like I used to work at H&M. Yeah. You couldn't. And that was so messy because fucking everyone in that store
Starting point is 00:49:03 started sleeping together and dating each other. And it was like, you come. But everyone, can I? They're like next generation. I don't understand why people are shocked. When people who work together and spend all their time together start developing attraction and start dating.
Starting point is 00:49:20 Yeah. Of course they're going to. Yeah. What do you mean? This is where they're spending 90% of their lives. I know. They're waking lives. They should be stooping.
Starting point is 00:49:30 Yeah. You know? It's weird that we just have made that a cultural taboo. I mean, obviously it gets messy, but it's like life v. messy. Leave it up. With Viva. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:49:47 With Viva bignado. I like Bell. the woman who runs the Maison Derrier. Sticking together is what good muffins do? Is that that one? No, that's where Marge goes on the run with. What, Bell? Bell, the woman who is the madame
Starting point is 00:50:05 who runs the like brothel in town. Yes. At the Maison Derrier. We put the spring in Springfield. I mean, listen, I also like my favorite all-time character from The Simpsons is Mr. Burns. Uh-huh. I love that Mr. Burns. I just love his life.
Starting point is 00:50:31 I like his sleeping hat. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, can we do Mr. Burns, but when he's flying in the dream, hovering above the bed? Yes. I do like that. What about when he's glowing at dark in the, in the dark? I bring you love.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Amazing. I can't remember any of this. You don't remember that? I watched all of the Simpsons when I was in high school, whatever. And people talk about quotes and stuff from The Simpsons, and it's like a black hole in my mind. Like, everything has just disappeared into some sort of deep, dark recess. I think it's also, depending on what part of your development,
Starting point is 00:51:16 this came into your brain. because I think for a lot of people like us It was like three, three years. Yeah, we were so young that it's just like engraved, yeah. You know who else I really like? It's Kang and Kodos. Yes. I love those guys.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Well, they're actually gals. Oh, true. Famously. My sister. What about? Selda, do you think that? You have this energy. You know what Simpson's character you remind me of?
Starting point is 00:51:47 Oh, my God. is like... Who is it? That gal. They're like... Ruth Powers. Yeah, but... Wait, isn't that the mom of the one that...
Starting point is 00:51:55 That tears butts hard out? Yeah. Yeah, who goes on the run with Marge. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'd love that. Thank you. Yeah, that's very...
Starting point is 00:52:03 Thank you. A bandana wearing woman. Uh-huh. I should wear more bandanas in drag. Is this me? The Forgot... The cursed Frogett person? It also comes with three...
Starting point is 00:52:18 Froggut. The Froggut has potassium. Something, something. What do you think of Bart Simpson? What do you think of Bart Mania? Oh, I don't need any of that. What do you think of Nancy Cartwright? I almost bought her autobiography the other day.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Almost. What stopped you? It cost any amount of money. But it was, I was, oh my God. When I was having my haunted trip through, my dad has now become the resident of a small town. And so we used to be able to. glide through the small town. Did you say president or resident?
Starting point is 00:52:51 You wouldn't know the difference by the way that people talk to him. Oh my God. But because he's doing like, you know, local radio. And, you know, back in the day when this like was the town where we would go on vacation during like the school holidays and like it was really, you know, we were just, we're out of towners. So we didn't have any kind of responsibility to the people of the town. Now that my dad has been living there for now six years and does the local radio and and stuff.
Starting point is 00:53:19 We walk and can't fucking walk a step without people be like, Bill! Bill! And then just talking at him, these men, all these retired men who were so bizarre. So we went into the bookshop. And I was just trying to eye off some various secondhand books, including this Nancy Cartwright autobiography. It was secondhand and used to wouldn't buy it.
Starting point is 00:53:43 No. And it was from the year 2000. So she didn't even know how much longer she was going to have to be. do this fucking shot. Yeah, wow. 26 years. Yeah. And so I was like, I really want to know, because she's crazy.
Starting point is 00:53:56 Yes. She's fucking crazy in a way that like, I even just the start of the book, she's like, back in the day I was sitting on my couch and I was like eating Captain Crunch out of a ball and I couldn't find like an acting job, but I was sitting in my gym jams all day. And I was like, I know exactly this woman. Yeah. This like 26 year old woman who is eating. Captain Crunch and sitting in her gym jams.
Starting point is 00:54:20 And she's like, now 15 years later, I'm sitting with my family, and I say to my husband, pass the Captain Crunch, as we watch myself on a cartoon, The Simpsons, all together. I'm like, ugh. Well, that's such a Bob. That's a Sancho Bob sound. So many people through my life have... Yeah, that's good. When he steps on that, Rake.
Starting point is 00:54:46 I love it. Many people through my life have made two comparisons of the various sounds that I make. Yeah. And it's Jubaka and also Dr. Hibbitt. Yeah. I love Dr. Hibbid. I don't know. What about Mojo?
Starting point is 00:55:04 Mojo? Pray for Mojo. No, I've lost you. Oh! Fake fan. Mojo, the monkey. Is that Krusty's monkey? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Maybe. Yeah. You know? Oh, yes. This slovenly monkey. In a diaper. Yes. Incredible.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Yeah. I also love Lionel Hutz, attorney at law. Oh, yeah. The sad ones are like, yeah, the Phil Hartman characters, because Phil, obviously, was dramatically murdered by his, wife. And so they had to retire Lionel Hutz and Kent Brockman. Oh, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Yes. Jesus. Why did she could do it? Wow. So do you know there's like a comedian? How do you know the answer to that question? Is he doing this? Well, this is the reason that, okay.
Starting point is 00:56:05 So you know the comedian Andy Dick, who's recently been spotted around the streets of L.A. having like a meth overdose. So, gosh. Andy Dick. Andy Dick. Yes. And we know Andy Dick. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:15 So Andy Dick. was yeah, gal about town, famous coke addict and was on news radio or something, or Spin City or something. And he ran into Phil Hartman's wife. This is like the kind of fake reason, but she was in recovery, manic depressive who used to have a coke addiction.
Starting point is 00:56:38 He saw her at a party and was like, do you want some Coke? And then she got back onto Coke, it spiraled real fast. she was already struggling with her husband's success, with like kind of, she was an actress as well, but not getting as much work. She's no Andy Dick.
Starting point is 00:56:55 Well, yeah. And then she started having quite intense, like manic, psychotic episodes. And then, and they had kids together. He had gone out that night to some sort of party, came home. And then when she was having, an episode. She had a gun that she'd gotten. I think it was a gun. And then got inside, he and her had a fight. He was like, whatever, you stay up and, you know, do whatever the fuck you want, went to bed, he went to sleep. She came into the room and shot him to death. And then
Starting point is 00:57:39 the kids were still in the house. And she had locked herself in the bedroom. And then the police came and then she killed herself in the bathroom. Oh, shit. Before they were able to get in. But yeah, and then from that day on, I think it was John Lovitz. You know, like John Lovitz who plays, obviously in Rat Race, but also played The Critic in that episode of The Simpsons. Hmm. It stinks.
Starting point is 00:58:10 It stinks. You know. So, anyway, John Lovitz. ran into Andy Dick at a party and confronted him and grabbed him by the collar and was like, you're the reason. Phil Hartman's dead, you fucking piece of shit. Oh my God. And Andy Deck never kind of seemed to recover from this broadly held opinion that he was partially responsible for the death of a beloved comedy sweetheart.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Yeah. And now he's like lolling out on the street and pissing himself in L.A. Because he's really addicted to man. Yeah. Crazy. That's crazy. L.A., honey, it's got a dark heart. You love stories.
Starting point is 00:58:52 So does Rupol? I just saw that Storytime episode that they did on All-Stars. Oh. There's no, we watch that together, and it was not good. Drag Queen shouldn't tell story. Drag Queen's story time?
Starting point is 00:59:04 Cancelland. Not for the children's sake, for hours. Yes. Anyway, so I want to live in Simpsons. I love Simpsons' Hidden Run. What a fun time What about that three-eyed fish? Good times
Starting point is 00:59:19 Mm-hmm But yeah I think I'm happy for it to be I mean Snowball too I'm happy for it to be cat lady If you want it to be cat lady That feels
Starting point is 00:59:28 Very in keeping with the world Of the show Yeah And some cats Yeah of course But they'll immediately be eaten Well of course Should be throwing them sadly
Starting point is 00:59:41 Into the oceanarium Yes Cool. Crazy cat lady. You're in. All right. We'll be right back. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Hello and welcome to us to discuss. Now. Now it's time for us to discuss. which of the invitees from Taylor Swift and that other guys Travis Kelsey Wedding! Taylor Swift just had a wedding a few weeks ago and obviously we're huge Swifties
Starting point is 01:00:35 We love the Suzuki Swift And she had it inside of Madison Square Gardens Madison Square Garden which isn't a cube at all. Like I love in that Futurama episode. Oh, yeah. With Madison Cube Garden. And it looks like a cube on its kind.
Starting point is 01:00:59 Yeah. Anyway, imagine getting, like, married at Rod Labor Arena. Not my favorite. So they had a thousand attendees, ranging from a list celebrities and business moguls to Kansas City Chiefs teammates. The wedding generated massive public interest with giant outdoor billboards outside the venue
Starting point is 01:01:19 displaying just and T and T, like just T&T married, you know, like AT&T? AT&T. Given Swiss reputation believing hidden details and a work, many fans anticipated a reputation or lover aesthetic for the actual wedding stationery. However, for those looking to emulate the pop stars event style, various digital platforms, offered customizable, swiftly themed stationary options. Isn't that fun? Why the fuck would you want to replicate?
Starting point is 01:01:49 someone else's wedding. I mean, we're all replicating someone's wedding. So Zelda, if you were a celebrity of this kind of level, Taylor Swift, which I think is just like the most rarefied thing. Yes. What would you be doing for your wedding? So we,
Starting point is 01:02:10 so Lazy and I briefly discussed this yesterday. And I said, I don't know if I said out loud, but I meant to say like, coma. like obviously. And just fly everyone on a thousand people to late Como. But then also that's a bit of a tragic cliche
Starting point is 01:02:26 and not everyone wants to see me in Princess. I'm a dollar cosplay being married. To a magician, no less. Dressed as Anakin Skywalker. Oh my God. I don't actually want to do that. I do want that dress though. It's fucking beautiful.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Not that one, but the purple one. You know the one. I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. But I love it. And then I said, They could have gone to Niagara Falls. Yeah. Which, like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:55 You must go to Niagara for your honeymoon, right? Yeah. But I don't think they'll be doing that either. No. They'll probably just go to some private island. Yeah. Yeah. I just think there's something about, I mean, obviously they built a giant set
Starting point is 01:03:13 inside of Madison Square Garden, which looks like a castle. Wait, what? Yeah, there's no photos. It's been completely NDA to death. But I'm like, I don't, okay, so it's like your wedding has a thousand people, including some of the most powerful business folks, like, operating in, you know, like the Disney executives and stuff.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Yeah. And it's also this like top secret. No one's allowed to know anything of the details of what happened inside of this wedding. Yeah. which I think is really interesting when it's like, well, is it an intimate affair with just your friends and family? Or are you inviting every single famous person ever, every single person working in the industry, all of these people connected to fame and attention seeking? Yes. And then being like, now no one pay attention.
Starting point is 01:04:11 Don't look. Yeah. Stop. Yeah. We're just at Madison Square Garden. Like, it just feels a bit, like, hollow. This idea of, like, this faux modesty or something. Like, not faux modesty, but this, like, we deserve our privacy during our special day.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Here we are in the centre of New York, and we've invited a thousand of the most attention-grabbing people possible. Yeah. Are you fucking getting me? Well. Yeah. Okay, so I'm looking at this, like, shortened list. Yeah. Selina Gomez.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Zoe Kravitz. Ed Sheeran. Kimmila Cabello. Cabello. Cabell. Jack Antonov. You know? Machine Gun Kelly.
Starting point is 01:04:55 No. Lina. Dunham. Which is weird. Harry Stiles and Jennifer Anderson reportedly received invites but could not attend. Harry was invited? Bradley Cooper. Hugh Grant, Dakota, Johnson.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Ethan Hawke. Paul McCartney. Tom Hanks, Emerson. Travis Seles. Sal Cells. Who the fuck is Travis Selcy? Selky? Selky?
Starting point is 01:05:21 Travis Selke's teammate. Yeah. That's nice. Patrick. Wait, this is the sport people. I don't know this. Oh, close friends. Swift Childhood, best friend Abigail and Anderson Barard
Starting point is 01:05:36 and model Carly Closs. Carly Kloss. What a name. I'm looking hair up first. How do you think it would feel to be like, you know, Taylor's primary school? friend that still gets brought along to these events? Like, can I have some money?
Starting point is 01:05:52 I think that's what it would feel like. Like, certainly she could say that all night and someone's going to say yes. Do you know who would say yes? Lena Donov. She would like, can I have a million dollars? Carlycloth is gorgeous. She's a model. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:07 She's a... I don't know. What do you think about that list? So what has come out recently from the wedding is that people will quite shocked and outraged by something said in one of the speeches, which was allegedly Lena Dunham, kind of like, gay, go on. And she said, you know that football, like American football is just men, what is it, men reenacting gay porn. Oh, Jesus. And saying this too, like a really famous football player. And I was like, amazing. And apparently, like, everyone was
Starting point is 01:06:43 being like, oh, that's not really appropriate for a wedding speech, which I'm like, you'll ask Lena Dunham to give a wedding speech. But then Taylor Swift was like, that's my crazy friend. Yeah, I like it. I don't actually like anything about this. She built a giant castle. But I can't even see the castle.
Starting point is 01:07:07 I just think that's... I feel like a child again. It doesn't exist if I can't see it. I just imagining like, I don't like the whole thing of her kind of construction of the American myth like her ideas like I'm a country girl I have like country hair like you know gorgeous wavy beachy waves I sit on my like back porch playing my acoustic guitar that my granddaddy gave me and like one day I meet the jock the team captain yeah and it's Travis Kelsey and he's a big hunk of meat but he's also really. really stupid, but we love him for that. And he whisked me off. And then for my wedding, it's like, we don't get married at a real castle because America
Starting point is 01:07:53 doesn't have castles because we're a land without history. But instead, we get married in, like, the thin veneer, hastily procured castle inside of a basketball court. Yeah. And set it up so I can still feel like a princess. That's America, honey. There's nothing to like about that. Be cool like Lana Del Rey and marry a crocodile man.
Starting point is 01:08:19 The swamp wedding. Yes. There is that picture of Lana Del Rey in her wedding dress, sat next to her now husband, Truthless Joe. Yeah. On a fucking swamp boat. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 01:08:33 It's incredible. I want to go on one of those swamp boats. You've got a giant fan that pushes it along. I want to do that. Get the gators. That's what I want to do. Lana's coming. Do you think Lana was there?
Starting point is 01:08:47 I wonder, I don't think so. Isn't, doesn't Lana write her songs or something? I don't think so. Do they have anything? Do they hang out? Isn't that the thing? What? Isn't that why she went up when Taylor Swift won that award?
Starting point is 01:09:01 Oh. Lana Del Wary was there? Listen, you tell me. Hang on. You're the swiftologist. No. You're that brick a dickhead. Lana Del.
Starting point is 01:09:12 no, look, okay, here's what I think. Let's put in Jennifer Aniston because she wasn't able to go. She was in the bunker. Okay. I think that's nice. Just so we can have the Rachel haircut. I just... Could we just take the haircut?
Starting point is 01:09:29 We're just taking the haircut. Do you know what she gave out as gift bags? No. Boxes that people have to open, but like they don't have a strap. So people like were carrying around... You didn't have like the toilet paper carry handle? No. No.
Starting point is 01:09:43 Would you like to hear some of Travis Kelsey's tweet? Not really. Okay. Happy Easter to all. Hashtag, shout out to Jesus for taking one for the team. What? What year is that from? 20-10.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Didn't say ha-ha? Elypses, ha-ha. Before his NFL fame, Kelsey used Twitter like a diary. Some of his most bizarrely mundane and goofy tweets include, I just gave a squirrel a piece of bread. Wait, that one's good. Up at Olive Garden with Papa had to grab the fetichini
Starting point is 01:10:19 with the chicken Alfredo. Hashtag schmacken. Smacking? Smacking? Smacking his lips? You ever eat a burrito at a modest mouse concert? It's wild, man. Why is he taking notes from sure?
Starting point is 01:10:43 Isn't that fun? That's actually fun. And a lot of those words were also misspelled. Can we put in the Rachel haircut with like those quotes surrounding it? Wait, here's the extended version of that squirrel tweet. I just gave a squirrel, spelt wrong, a piece of bread and it straight smashed all of it. I had no idea they ate bread like that. Ha ha ha, hashtag crazy.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Wait, that's fantastic. I want to marry this guy. Ooh, girl, suck me like an electric eel. Ha ha. MGMT, electric feel has been playing in my head all day. And then underneath that said, ooh, girl, suck me like an electric eel. Suck me? Shock me.
Starting point is 01:11:39 Yeah. You clearly didn't have it playing in your head all day. No. Wait, those are fabulous. Yeah Can we put in a squirrel Eating a piece of bread She wasn't invited to the wedding
Starting point is 01:11:55 Taylor was jealous Yeah, it would have been too Hashtag crazy She didn't want anything crazy Just a giant fake fucking castle Oh my God I don't know What are we doing
Starting point is 01:12:06 The Rachel The Rachel haircut Yeah We have to have confirmation That she was actually there But yeah I'm happy for No she wasn't able to attend But she was invited
Starting point is 01:12:15 Oh, she didn't go. No. Oh, she, this is terrible. Oh. I don't think we can have that. Huh. It's got to be people in attendance. All right.
Starting point is 01:12:26 Well, then I... All right. We can't do the squirrel. We can't do the Rachel haircut. Why do you want me to get from this topic? I mean, listen, I want you to be happy, and I want you to start planning your wedding. Can we put in one of those stupid man tweets then? I hate it when my phone is about to die.
Starting point is 01:12:45 About to go go-kart racing. Ha-ha. Hope I fit in the cart. The moon looks crazy tonight. I'm a chill out here for a little and just visualize my success and vibe the scenery. Oh, oh no. IMA?
Starting point is 01:13:06 What do you say? Oh my God. IMA. I'm a I-M-M-A. Chill out here for a little and just visualize my success. and n vibe the scenery scenery spell wrong. No, no.
Starting point is 01:13:21 Okay, well, went from class to therapy. Now I need some hashtag Chipotle. And then I'm off to check out my new apt. Too mad right now. Can't find my phone. Either somebody got me for it or I just misplaced it. But either way, I'm
Starting point is 01:13:38 phoneless right now. Nap time. Damn. My birthday's tomorrow. And I don't got shit to do. Hate this feeling right now. Ethan Hawke? I like Ethan Hawke.
Starting point is 01:13:53 That could be good. The question isn't how you stop us, because frankly, you can't stop what's supposed to happen. The question is, which one of us are you going to shine? Who's Claire Kittle? Claire. Kittal.
Starting point is 01:14:13 You're still looking at tweets, aren't you? I feel like if you want to be a cheerleader, you have to pass a beauty test. There's too many ugly cheerleaders out there. shaking my head. But is it shaking my head or SMH? SMH. Suck my hole.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Ha ha. I just caught myself judging every person that walked past me. Whether they were ugly, fat, funny looking, sexy. Ha ha. I'm tripping. What the hell? Did you learn something?
Starting point is 01:14:44 Just that I don't want to hear anymore. What do you think they're doing, hanging out? Like, what do you think they talk about? What do they talk about? about um what do they talk i don't know how much downtime chat they have i don't think she has any time to talk yeah like i don't think they're chatting about like what do you want to do this weekend no there is no weekend like there's no weekend uh like they probably just debrief about their
Starting point is 01:15:14 careers yeah he tells her stuff about like the the players on team team and she talked about the logistics of the next tour or like I'm away for four months recording in the studio or something. And like what do you think of this? Like I can't listen to I can't listen to that right now but I whatever. No I think he's like what do you think the world that Alfredo means kind of thing? Oh yes. And then she's all like when do you think they're going to run out of phone numbers? And then she's like okay hon I'm just going to I've got to go I've got to I'm going to just hit the gym and swim and then I'll... You're just subtly comparing to you and Zelda's relationship, aren't you?
Starting point is 01:16:00 I do not want to be the evil tailors. You think that she's hitting the gym and swim? But yeah, I think it's that kind of unnerving thing where I think she's just like got a vision of who he needs to be. Yeah. He does that. She never has to spend time with him, but still gets dick down. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:20 And then kind of gets to go and do it. anything else. Yeah. It's kind of great. I don't know. I think she would also be obsessing over like things that people. I think she'd still be thinking about Blake lively dragging out all her tweets in court and stuff.
Starting point is 01:16:35 Like I think she really obsesses over like any perceived slide. If someone didn't hug her when she walked into the room, she would be like fuming about it weeks later and would be talking about that. Do you think someone with such fine hair could really hold others to that stand? Such fine hair. So thin. Do you think she wears a lot of the extensions? Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:58 Just to fill it out. There is no volume to be seen. I saw a man last night on TikTok who brought in this frazzled woman who'd been bleaching her hair and putting like extensions in it herself. And it was like all falling out. Like alopecia style. Oh, okay. But I don't know that anyone was acknowledging that something very bad was happening to her scalp. They were like big patches.
Starting point is 01:17:21 And he was like, we're going to. lift with a really nice low lift. Oh my God. It's like Brad Mondo or something? There's someone Brad Mondo adjacent. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he was like taking out her extensions. And like, you know in Requiem for a dream, where she dyes her hair red and it's like flayed out. He did that to her hair. And it's like thin wisps of hair.
Starting point is 01:17:42 Yeah. And then he's like, now don't worry, we're going to lift this. But I did some tests and it's okay. It's like a really like calming bleach. I'm like, there's no such thing as a fucking calming bleach, you psycho. And then he like bleaches it out and he's like doing that thing where they put their hand beneath like a weft of hair and like shake it slowly to kind of show how silky and like The hair is just falling but he's doing that with like a wisp of like Skellington hair like the tufts of hair left on a corpse and he's like lifting in it is just kind of staying in one place like catching the air and but it's like isn't this beautiful? Beautiful.
Starting point is 01:18:23 And then he puts in the, like, extensions. And, like, the scalp is, like, fiery red from where the bleach has obviously had a huge reaction. He puts in, like, all these wefts. Yeah. And then it turns out, and, like, you can see the wefts because the hair is, like, so fine. Yeah. That it's, like, a window. You can just see.
Starting point is 01:18:44 But it does look, like, you know, a wig. Like, it looks like a big amount of hair just barely hanging on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then it turns around and this woman was so like 30 something Baybana who I don't know. Like she needs like a dermatologist immediately instead of this terrifying person who's like bleaching and then adding extensions to the hair but like insisting that it's good for the hair. Oh no. Crazy. I don't really like breadmondo.
Starting point is 01:19:17 No, no. But I would. Of course. He's fucking hot. Of course. I think he would be like a great top. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Isn't he, didn't he come out as bisexual? I don't know. Yeah, I thought he was dating a woman for a while. I, I, if I was a woman, I couldn't, I, I couldn't go to him to get my head done, knowing that he would put it in. Knowing that he could potentially want to do that to me. Yeah, no. That feels like a violation of like the dynamic. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:49 Your hairdresser needs to be gay. Especially, but like if they're gay and he is gay, but like if he's now by, I wouldn't, I don't trust. I don't trust a bisexual. No, that's not what I'm saying. I don't trust that bisexual. That's good. It's important to specify. Because he's also like sneaky and evil. Yeah. So like just another thing under his jacket of lies. You know? Bisexuals are lying to us. Just that one. Okay, that's good. Brad Mundo, you're on blast.
Starting point is 01:20:19 Don't you think Yeah, I mean Like I think that there's a kind of manicured LA mentality that really freaks me out That like, I don't know I don't think that vulnerability exists in a place like that He's also just so smug And about what?
Starting point is 01:20:39 Yeah What, you can do the hair thing? That's like that's cool I can lift up wefts of hair and shake it around So it falls slowly Look at this, it's beautiful You look amazing. And he's so judgey.
Starting point is 01:20:52 I mean, I understand that the whole concept of his show is that he judges other people's hair attempts. Oh, honey. But like, I don't know. Yeah. And then when he's impressed, he's not that impressed. Not impressed enough? No. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:07 Do you think your, where do you fit on the spectrum? Are you easily impressed or are you far too pessimistic? By hair things? No, just didn't lie. Oh. Oh. Well, no, it depends. because very strange things can delight me.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Yeah. But then quite impressive things, I'll find extremely boring. Like fireworks? No, I like that a lot. Oh, well, then what else could possibly be impressive? Well, I'm not impressed by Taylor Swift building a castle. I don't think anyone should be. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:36 Anyone could do anything with the right amount of money. Yes. Build a castle? That's the thing. I like to see a unique perspective, like a built skill set executing something who... If she built it herself. I would be impressed. Of course.
Starting point is 01:21:50 I don't think she, I think she, like, glanced at the pictures. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You know? Like, she's got people that handle that. Ugh. This is the thing, though, like, the thing about getting that wealthy, having that much control, is that, like, you're not going to be able to attend to every aspect of your, like, what you're creating. And that's just not fun.
Starting point is 01:22:12 No. You wouldn't have time to sit in your backyard and build the castle. No. So then, like, what's it? the point. Yeah. You're outsourcing it. Yeah. I also am just so sick of rich people not knowing what to do with their money. Building a castle is kind of like the sort of thing I would like. Yeah, but like, build a castle house because now it's gone. Yeah. Like a castle for three hour ceremony, that's evil, actually. I wonder where that's going. Like surely it's been donated to like the local
Starting point is 01:22:41 kindergarten or something. Donate it to the, um, Melbourne Magic Week. Because let me tell you. They didn't decorate anything in the foyer. Why didn't they put up plush red velvet curtains? Yeah. Oh. There was no, like, um, magician's assistant in like a little cocktail outfit and a top hat. No, there was a sad wife. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Yeah. For some of it. A sad wife who looked like she was at one point a gal that was invited on stage and was like, you know, got him in his cutie pituity era. Do you think that's where they met? Yeah. Oh, God. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Oh, okay. So what thing from this wedding? Do you know what energy this guy had? Yeah, no. Abricadee. He had the exact energy of that, if you know, listener. There's a YouTuber called Jazza. Who does, like, art stuff.
Starting point is 01:23:38 And he's Australian, and he used to be Mormon. And he's got this, like, really PG-cookie-cutter vibe. But there is, like, a dark, misogynistic, weirdness to him. Extremely so. You know his brother. Yes. He's like a lapa.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Yeah. His brother has this like medieval channel where he like talks about the logistics of like, you can't actually draw a sword that's sheathed on your back. Yeah. That's not like not actually possible because that's not how sheaths work. The sword's too long. So I love those videos. But he is evil.
Starting point is 01:24:12 Like he is a misogynist. Yeah. Like it slips out in almost every episode like some of the, weird comments that they make. So, like, that whole family is cursed. Yeah. I just don't. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:24 And there's a way in which people who present themselves as cookie cutter clean, then when the mask slip happened, it's just so much worse. Because I was, like, saying this later, I'm like, if you were, like, presenting as a bit of, like, a CAD musician and, like, a bit of a piece of shit was your onstage persona. Yeah. And then you look back and you're like, my wife's gone. Oh, fuck.
Starting point is 01:24:51 Yeah. Yeah. I wouldn't be like horrified in the same way. But it's this like presentation of being like one of the good guys. Yeah. Who's the sweetie pie who like that whole stick of like, I treasure my wife. And like anything baby wants, baby gets. Oh.
Starting point is 01:25:09 And then their mask drops. Yeah. And it's like your version of liking your wife is to treat a like, quote, her, oh, little princess. Oh. But it's actually just like a way of patronizing her and keeping her, like, contained inside of, like a really small version of what she's a large piece. She doesn't actually need to do anything to make her happy other than maybe respect her.
Starting point is 01:25:32 Yeah. But like... Respect her time and don't force her to stage manage for you. Ew. Yeah. Oh. Anyway. Oh, yuck.
Starting point is 01:25:43 So we can't put in the hair cut. I think we should put in the squirrel. Hey, eating a piece of bread. That's crashed out crazy. Maybe Travis Kelsey and the squirrel. Okay, yeah. Can he have, he needs to be recording some of these tweets. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:02 In the bunker. Yeah, I agree. So can he have maybe some of the merch. You said there was stationary. Yes. Yeah. He can have some of Aprica Dickhead's merch to write down his tweets as we don't currently have.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Yeah, and put them into a tweet box. Yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. Wait, can the tweet box be like a birdhouse? Sure. That's cute. Yeah, that's great. Okay, so we're going to put in a bird house.
Starting point is 01:26:29 Oh, I can't wait to see what other birds get in the bunker. Okay. And it's got like a little round hole at the front and the little stick coming out. And he has to pop the tweets in there. And I think he just thinks that that's where tweets go anyway. Absolutely. Current day. What's he wearing?
Starting point is 01:26:47 like a rugby outfit? Well, or like clothes? American football, yeah. Yeah. Can we, can he be wearing that new Captain America skin from Marvel Rivals? Which I was forced to look at the other day. Lister last time when Lazy came over, the first thing I did was show are all the new skins that are out in Marvel Rivals. Because they're all so horny.
Starting point is 01:27:10 It's ridiculous. But pretty good, huh? Yeah. Sure. going to send you a video of this skin. Oh, sick. And with that, we'll go on to the next. Hello, listener.
Starting point is 01:27:35 Hello, and welcome back. Our final, very important topic for discussion today is which thing off the vision chips menu gets into the bunker. Okay. Six dollar chips. Do you like a six dollar chips? Well, it depends. Six dollars in one shop is not the same six dollars in another.
Starting point is 01:27:52 I find it really stressful, can I say? Eating only yellow things. Well, that, I actually can't even contemplate now as a grand dam in her 30s. Having a night of fish and chips, the way that you feel after that is not correct. Heavy. I just like, how do children do this? How? But the, there's a few mystery items that show up on fish and chip menus that I'm like, we have, because a fish and chip is largely centered around.
Starting point is 01:28:25 anything that can be put into a vat of oil will be okay. Like that's, the cuisine is established by like anything that is fit to fry can go in. So we have the chips. We have the fish. Yeah. But then it's like, what is it? The chik, chik, chikor roll? Oh, chikor roll.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Chikar roll, spring roll, deep fried marsbar, pineapple fritters. Fuck, what are the other freaky ones? Dim Sims. I really miss dim sims. What is it, crab stick? Crab sticks, fuck. That's a bad time. Is that deep fried or is that just a...
Starting point is 01:29:09 It is deep fried, isn't it? Yeah, they'll put like a batter on that. Is that just mushed crab put into a stick shape? Yeah. But it's not even crab meat generally. It's just like a misk seafood paste that there's been like reconstituted into a stick. And do a stick.
Starting point is 01:29:27 Yuck. I like that they have pickled onions, but I'm like, when you give me a whole pickled onion, how am I enjoying that with my meal? Like it's its own little appetizer. Yeah. But like that's weird. It's like a good chaser. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:43 But I'm like, you have a chip and then you just put a whole onion in. We don't, I've never had a blooming onion and I'm really upset about that. I'm upset too. Like, because apparently there's a little. world where you can get an onion that's been cut and battered and then fried. And Mamma Mia, that sounds fucking good. Now, there's also, like, this, like, iconic thing that happens where they do, like, a veggie burger, but it's always the shitty...
Starting point is 01:30:10 It's the shittiest of shit. Veggie burgers. It's so shit. But it's, like, interesting that they've always offered that. And a veggie burger doesn't have to be shit, but from a fish and ship shop. It's always going to be. And they've never updated it. No.
Starting point is 01:30:26 The whole world has changed and they have never updated it. And that like thick slab of patty that like, I feel like I've had it and it's still like frozen in the middle or whatever. Yuck. Have you ever had a corn jack? Often. Really? Yeah. You go down for a corn jack.
Starting point is 01:30:43 Corn jack is actually fucking sick. Explain the corn jack to the people at home. Okay. So it's creamed corn. Creamed corn. In a cylinder of. Uh. Skin.
Starting point is 01:30:55 batter batter yeah but like what is the batter put on because you can't just put batter
Starting point is 01:31:00 on cream corn and make a cylinder but like what is it because there's no pastry involved does it does it flat out
Starting point is 01:31:06 like a goo what the creamed corn like you could squeeze it out like it's just cream corn inside what who thought of this
Starting point is 01:31:16 it's really delicious though I'm realizing it's actually if you like creamed corn of course it sounds very sexual
Starting point is 01:31:22 which I do Matt what did you say Squeeze the cream corn out of the tube of batter It sounds really sexual That sounds like someone's... Matt, not everything Is like that Look, I'm just telling it how it is, right?
Starting point is 01:31:42 I think that sounds like someone Was like, how can we make the horniest meal ever? Yeah. Okay. Oh. This is saying, Today Chico brings you everyone's favorite snacks in an easy take-home packs like chico corn jacks.
Starting point is 01:31:58 They're sweet corn kernels coated in a delicious crunchy coating, which you can oven bake at home. Well, no, that's not how you're fucking having it. It's an iconic Australian frozen snack made with sweet corn kernels in a golden, crispy deep-fried coating. They are pretty... But how do you fucking... How do you do them? Hmm. That is wild.
Starting point is 01:32:20 I didn't... What do you mean cream? Well, none of these people are saying cream corn, but... How are they making these? Oh, it's like a, almost like a dim-sim. Hmm. The kind of skin. The skin.
Starting point is 01:32:36 God. A golden, crunchy casing filled with sweet corn kernels. Perfect on the go. Because it has like, you pop the little, like, each end is so deliciously crunchy. And then you get one at the start, obviously where you start eating it from one end. And then you're rewarded at the end of the corn jack. With the other end. It's deliciously grunchy.
Starting point is 01:33:01 You know? Okay. What about a potato cake? I mean, I love a potato. That's one of the things I'll still go down for. Yeah. Like, even more than chippies. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:11 Oh, yeah. I just love, it's like, we're done. It's incredible. But there is a departure point that stresses me out at the fish and chip shop, and it's a decision that you often feel like you have to make too soon. Oh. Where they're like, do you want chicken salt on that? What is chicken salt?
Starting point is 01:33:26 I don't know, but I love it. What is it? Don't answer. I don't know. It's just like a herb. A herb? Yeah, it's not got chicken in it. Right?
Starting point is 01:33:36 It's like the tree that the leaves for chicken twisties come from. I'm not joking, bitch. Am I about to look this up? I don't want to know the answer. Anyway, so then, but then the chicken salt goes on and you can't have chicken salt with tomato sauce. You what? You can't have chicken salt with tomato sauce. it's a clash
Starting point is 01:33:58 the two flavors hey I've been living my life carrying around this guilt since I was 17 years old what chicken salt is a savory umami packed Australian seasoning what a descriptor originally created in the 1970s
Starting point is 01:34:15 for rotissory chickens despite its name it's traditionally vegan or vegetarian it is a bright yellow blend of sea salt garlic powder onion powder paprika celery salt and often MSG No chicken?
Starting point is 01:34:29 What the fuck? I've been saying no to chicken sold in front of people in case they question my vegetarianism for years. Diva. You've got to live your life, Seldom. Free of judgment. No one would ever judge you. Yes.
Starting point is 01:34:44 You've been judging me since I said that fucking mobile number thing. Have you been thinking about that? Yes. Yeah. I can't wait for this episode to go out. What? That's a million. We certainly have more than a million before living in this country. Wait, so what's ten digits then in like the biggest number?
Starting point is 01:35:05 What's that? It's a million, billion, trillion. But a billion is like how many zeros in a billion? Or is it ten? Yeah, see? Yeah. No one's producing those answers. It's very confusing.
Starting point is 01:35:20 I'm not a mathematician. No. It's billions. Billions. digits is billions? The largest 10 digit number is... Oh, 1 billion. 9 billion, 99,99,999. Okay, so we got a while.
Starting point is 01:35:39 We've got a while. Well, that's good. That's like my invoicing. Yeah. You know, like we've got a while. You should have put 10. 10 zero, isn't it? You really should. Yeah. Think of all those.
Starting point is 01:35:49 But, you know, like, also who decided? Like, how long numbers would be? I don't know. Because a pat on the back for them, that's foresight. But it's really actually only eight digits, because the first two numbers are always zero four. Well, they're just the area code. You know, but that's, imagine if it was only eight digits. And then two of them were the area.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Then you'd be down to six digits. You know? Yeah. There's still had 99 million, 99,99,000. Oh, that's good for us. People. Wait, only 99 million. Aren't there like 7 billion people on the planet?
Starting point is 01:36:24 Yeah, but that's in Australia. This is why you have the area code. Yeah, well, you know, and the country code. The population do be growing. Do you think that Australia will surpass the billion people? I don't think we have the infrastructure. Hopefully not too soon. Sometimes I can't even fill up my tram as it is.
Starting point is 01:36:47 Zelda's running for office. No, we already have enough beastie girls running for office. We can't do this to the world. Okay. Oh my God. Fuck me. Okay, so a potato cake is fucking sick. I think it could, like, I mean, I, it isn't very adventurous, but I do believe that the potato cake is kind of beyond.
Starting point is 01:37:13 But you can't get, do you think you can get a potato cake in America? I don't know, but you know what sucks? Go on. A potato cake isn't properly cooked. Yeah. And you know what else is awful? When, like, the batter, like, slides off the, when the potato cake and the potato inside is not one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:32 But it's clearly, too. I hate that. I hate that. Oh. I also am just, like, a bit confused when some people are, like, they make them fresh. Like, we make them fresh in store. Yeah. I'm like, I'm sorry, but you don't need to make this gourmet.
Starting point is 01:37:47 That's fine. It's completely okay for this to be shit. Yeah. And, like, I want it to be. That's why I don't eat it very often. And when I do every five years, it's like a random weird treat of gluttony. But if I'm then being forced to eat like a homemade potato cake, that's not the gluttonous indulgence than I was seeking. What about the, so you can get onion rings, nuggets, Kransky.
Starting point is 01:38:13 Kranski? Like a hot dog in batter. Ooh, Kranski is so thick. Imagine just fucking chewing down on that thick slab of meat. That's so awful. So horny. Sorry, Matt. What?
Starting point is 01:38:25 No, Kransky is horny. What is horny about Kranski? It's a thick pink slab of meat. It is. You can get at this, Svlarki. If you can deep throat it and it retains its shape, it's a horny meal. If you can deep throat it, then so many things just became horny. Because you're a big old fucking throat goat.
Starting point is 01:38:49 Well. mini spring roll chicken schnitzel fillet hamburger in batter sausage in batter hamburger in batter hamburger in batter what about a deep fried mars bar
Starting point is 01:39:03 what the fuck is that I don't get that I have had a few of those in my time what how does it okay well actually no I think I know the answer because when I worked at Polly Chinese restaurant we would do deep fried ice cream yeah and you would like have frozen
Starting point is 01:39:18 the ice cream in batter and then you would just drop that into like the hot oil so that just the batter would fry. Yeah. So like it was the ice, it was all still like it was frozen. Because if you just rolled ice cream around in batter and then put it in, that wouldn't work. So yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:39 So then. So what? The Mars bars must be pre-battered and frozen and then dropped in. Well, Mars bars have a little bit more to them than ice cream. but also they do melt entirely. So by the time you get your... Well, melting my fingers before I finished it. No, but by the time you get your deep-fried mars bar,
Starting point is 01:39:58 it's like goo inside batter with like a nougar caramel. Is it good? It's obscenely delicious, but also just like you will die. Yeah. No one... Chokes your arteries straight away.
Starting point is 01:40:12 Yeah. What about deep-fried banana? Yeah. The banana fritter. Banana fritter. That's fucking delicious You used to get that at the end of like Dinner Out at the Chinese restaurant
Starting point is 01:40:26 Yes, yes I don't know With ice cream I don't think fruit has any place in dessert Sorry I don't Get out of here I don't want fruit You just want chocolate
Starting point is 01:40:37 I want chocolate sweet You know cram-fresh I want you know nuts have a place in dessert Wow Nuts over fruit Absolutely Peanuts A dark roasted peanut
Starting point is 01:40:50 With some caramel Snapping Vanilla Dairy Caternobles snapping Caramel snapping Caramel snares I mean like
Starting point is 01:40:58 I'm just trying to think about When I've been electrified By the addition of fruit to our dessert What? Fruit salad? Not yummy yummy, yummy Like fruit salad for dessert
Starting point is 01:41:09 Fucking kill me Yeah, it's so watery It is watery It is disgusting Where does all the water come from? Most of the grapes. I thought, actually, I think I, what's that sound?
Starting point is 01:41:23 What are you doing? Wait, what is that? Is that a corn jack? I wish it was a corn jack. No. I actually feel like a cornjack right now. No, you don't. Are you talking?
Starting point is 01:41:33 You have a pasty in your pocket. I'm saving that for later. Stop looking at that. Okay. That's enough. I think, but it's what, what do we need to preserve about the Australian culture?
Starting point is 01:41:47 Chicken salt. chicken salt. That is Australian culture. Apparently. Well, that could be on something. I don't think it's, it lives by itself. Yeah, well, it could be... You could put it on a potato cake. A potato cake with chicken salt is very good in a brown paper bag that's sopping wet with please. And it has the window to weight gain. Yes. And I think the world... And now we're in the Simpsons. And I think the world needs to remember that.
Starting point is 01:42:11 Like, when the dark days are here. Yeah. I think potato scullop. I think potato cake is better. name. It is. Yeah. Potato cake is the Victorian way. Because potato scallops is like,
Starting point is 01:42:24 Sculletot potatoes. That's a whole different ditch. Yeah. I think they're pretending that they're like. Potato scallops. Yeah. Yeah. Because that's fucking delicious.
Starting point is 01:42:34 If you get it right. Cheese, cream and potato. Yeah. In an oven? Yeah. With a crushed, crunch top. Good. Delicious.
Starting point is 01:42:43 They're about to open a bluishy fish and chip shop around the place from my house. And I'm a bit worried. Wait, out, where, what? They're about to open. They have gone, Jacks? I don't know. Because they have very, like,
Starting point is 01:42:57 luxe, inner north, designs, like, sense. Have you been to hunky dory? No. Fish and chippery? No. There's like a chain of, well, maybe there's a chain. Oh, there's at least one.
Starting point is 01:43:10 If there's, like, booge adjacent fish and chip shop. And I've been there many times. I fucking hate it. Yeah. they why have you got many times oh because it's like near a work thing so it's like convenient or whatever okay um but it's like yeah it's like healthy fish and chips oh um but like big big bowls of like i don't know i get like a falafel bowl thing but it's just i just don't like it they do
Starting point is 01:43:40 good potato cakes but also the chips are two the chips are somewhere between wedges and like traditional fish and chip chips yeah that's not really that's not really always better. I also just don't think wedges are actually part of fish and chip culture. No. Even though they are delicious. Oh yes. They're not part of it. No. That's too much seasoning. It's not a fission wedge. Yeah. For Australian culture. Yeah. That's too much. Okay, so potato cake with chicken salt. Yeah. Sick. Congratulations, potato cake and chicken salt you're in. Also today we have a squirrel. A what? Do we do a squirrel? Oh, no, we put 10,000 things in.
Starting point is 01:44:19 We put that stupid man in with a squirrel. Travis Kelsey. And some of the Abrakeekhead merch for him to write. The tweets and put them into a bird house. Yes. And then we have the crazy cat lady and a couple of cats. From the Simpsons. Eleanor Abanathy.
Starting point is 01:44:39 Hey, you looked up the name. Yeah, I do. Good job. That's good. That's good ledger maintenance. Okay. And we'll see you all next week for another exciting. episode.
