Zelda
Lazy
Team rocket blasts up at the speed of light
Surrender now
Or prepare to fight
Miao
Miao
What? You're Miao
Oh my God
I actually never watch Pokemon.
Meow, that's right.
You know?
Is this a Pokemon thing?
Oh, that's good.
Welcome, everyone.
Do they have a house?
Will they wear weeks?
Do Jesse and James have a house?
Yes.
I think they would have like, like employee accommodation kind of thing.
Like they'd live.
For Team Rocket?
Yeah, like kind of like.
Like the army or whatever.
Yeah, I guess so.
You get like a, like you live in your post.
How old are Jesse and James from Team Rocket?
I don't know.
Okay, they're in their mid to late 20s.
Yeah.
Wow.
They can't afford a house.
I mean, it's a worry because they're going like every second day.
They're leaving home.
Like, you know, they're never at home.
Yeah, but they're in, you know, all around the.
Kento region trying to get Pikachu.
Yeah.
So what?
Famously not a rare Pokemon.
Are they subletting?
Mm.
Yeah.
I wonder if they're...
Couch surfing.
Landlord is aware of that.
Yeah, well, that's it.
I don't think.
And it's like, where are the police?
Do you think?
Well...
Because these two are...
Officer Jenny.
...stalking and harassing a 13-year-old.
Boy.
boy, a little boy.
Yeah, and he's older friends.
Yeah, how old's Brooke?
I don't know, but Brock can get it.
Okay, we've discussed this, obviously.
This is a G-rated episode.
That's why I just, he can get it as in more Pokemon.
Are you okay?
Brock age Pokemon, 15.
Wow, he runs a whole gym and he's only 15.
Yeah.
And meanwhile, Team Rocket, late 20s.
Yeah.
10 years old, Misty is canonically 10.
10, baby.
What do you mean she's running the water?
What a gym at 10 years old?
She can do it all.
That's some sort of child labor thing.
It's not just her.
Star me and Star You as well.
Well, they're also.
Pokemon.
Yeah, well.
It's a team.
Ash Ketchum.
What is his age?
Ketchum.
10 years old as well?
Oh, that's crazy.
Not even 13.
Wow.
Wow.
Another lie.
Sent off to the trenches.
Speaking of child labor,
today we have a child working in the studio.
Yeah.
Ari, would you like to introduce yourself?
Hello?
So Matt has extended an invitation to the school to offer a work experience?
Or how did it work?
How did you end up doing work experience here at the studio?
My teacher actually knows Matt.
Oh.
Yes.
Are they friends or colleagues?
Not sure, actually.
Matt?
We're enemies.
Enemies.
So I'm trying to convert Nari to the dioxide.
Amazing.
Yeah.
Ari, who's your favorite Star Wars character?
There's a bad to say I haven't really seen Star Wars.
Yes.
The youth are getting it.
Amazing.
Amazing.
What a relief.
What a relief to know the world is healing.
Ari, what's your go-to franchise?
Like if you were going to watch something with your mates or whatever.
Whatever.
Well, I don't know if they'll really like it, but have you guys seen Young Royals?
Young Royals.
Wait, the TV show?
Yes.
Wait, is it Norwegian?
No.
Something like that.
Oh, wow.
Yes, I have heard of that show.
It's like kind of like a queer high school drama.
Yes.
Amazing.
See, I like this.
This is not Star Wars.
Is there any wars involved?
Look at that.
Boy's cheekbones.
That's crazy.
Got cheeks.
Omar Rudeberg.
Oh my God.
Quite rude.
Amazing.
Young Royals kiss.
He's kissing.
Hey, there is kissing.
Not on this episode.
It's G-rated.
That's right.
So that's why this episode is going to be G-rated.
We could do PG, I think.
PG?
PG.
Yeah.
R is in high school now.
I guess that's true.
Are you 15 or 16?
He's 16.
Going on 17.
16, you could have been running the Canter region by now.
You could have been in the rock gym after Brock left.
He's aging out of Pokemon, really.
Do you play any video games, Ari?
Yes.
What?
Once.
Yes.
Overwatch.
Oh my God.
That's good.
My, are you a...
Wait, what was that?
And why would you say that?
It's incredible
That's incredible
Who do you play as?
Are you a diva?
What's her name?
I'm an Anna.
Stalker.
On the main
Oh,
Anna Maine.
Anna Maine?
Yeah.
The old sniper lady.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I feel like you've come to the right place.
How many hours have you played overwashed?
Too many.
Go on.
Be brave.
No, I actually can't say.
That's good.
What else?
I would think my parents would.
Like that
Wait, are your parents
gonna listen to this episode?
I hope not.
They better not.
Wait, I'm looking at this
Anna Main.
She is incredible.
She's got a
Gloria's coat
and a sniper rifle.
Yeah,
she can put people to sleep.
Oh,
so Gung Zelda.
Oh, we have fun.
That's called a ribbing.
A what?
A ribbing.
Ribbing?
Yeah.
For my pleasure.
You know, like a joy,
you know, a playful ribbing.
You never heard that term
Ripping?
It's like joshing around
It's like having a jock at your expense
Whilst like on the mic
When I was talking about your lipstick
Yeah
And I was giving you a rib
Even though you'd artfully applied
A beautiful black lip
In a Klaus Nomi style
The audience didn't know that then
So I was meeting them where they were at
To take them on the journey
Experiencing them for the first time
Confronted by it
Exactly and it's our job
To be with the audience where they're at
not where we know it's going to go.
It's hideous.
Yeah, well, that's what I said.
Oh my God.
So, listener Nick, who, you know, I'm coming fast friends with, has just sent me.
Boost voucher?
Boost voucher.
You too could be my friend if you send me a $30 boost voucher three times.
It's $90.
Look, it's gone chicken purchasing this morning.
Oh, amazing.
For a coup, not for a ducat for a ducature.
dinner. Do you know what I was learning this morning on TikTok? Yeah. The harmful like stereotype that
was kind of mass produced in the like early 1900s. Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that.
That that like black people liked fried chicken was because um following the
abolishment of slavery. Yeah. Um, there was like a lot of like livestock that was, like,
livestock that was not available to be like owned by slaves and former slaves how big like you know like big like
ticket items like cows and pigs or whatever but the chicken considered like kind of low
economic value or whatever um that was deemed okay for like a slave or like recently freed slave to
to be in possession of and so that once it kind of came into these people
possession would then be combined with like, I think what it said on the thing was like
East African cooking styles, battering and spicing. And that's kind of where the new, like the new
world's version of fried chicken came from. And so all of these like black women made that their
business. And there would be like, you know, trains coming through this town in the south would like
they, you know, come aboard and sell the chicken, like the fried chicken. So much so that it
became this, like, booming business, and they actually started to get, like, a lot of economic
mobility out of it.
And so the backlash was instead to kind of create all these public smear campaigns that were
like, oh, it's this, like, dirty, cheap food that's, like, really low class.
Oh.
And undermine the economic prosperity of these black women.
Wow.
Isn't that crazy?
Yes.
Fried chicken, apparently watermelon as well, because there was, like, in, you know,
agriculture, like, you know, it was like something that, like, black business owners had success
doing. Yeah. There's growing watermelons. That is wild. And so it's like everything had to be
like disparaged in the pursuit of racism. Um, while we're talking about watermelon, let me just
say. This also has, um, historical significance of course, but, um, the Procopio DLC has come out a few,
but a week and a half, maybe two weeks ago,
where you might traverse as Dido and visit the bubbly basin,
an underwater land.
And they've introduced 100 new Pokemon and all these like underwater things,
but it's all underwater, that's fun.
Two issues with this.
All of the water Pokemon just like mysteriously float on land.
I fucking hate that.
What are you talking about?
That fish can't float in the air, sort of bird.
but they're not so they're like part cowardice because like the mammal
Pokemon can't go in the water like they can't just exist in the middle of the ocean
because they would drown the flying Pokemon can't go underwater
but for some reason the water Pokemon can just float around anyway that's not my story
but they added in like extra crops and one of them is watermelon and it grows underwater
and that's not where watermelon grows.
Well, water's in the title.
Yeah, but that's not quite enough.
What level of real lesson were you expecting from the island where Pokemon make farms?
Just slightly more.
Slightly more.
Just slightly more.
That doesn't go there.
You're a puddle of pink goo transforming into other things.
That isn't happening life.
Well, it happens in Pokemon.
Well, so watermelon grows under this.
I'm not in the Pokemon.
Canonically.
No, actually.
Well, now it is.
Popopia.
Okay.
she's putting the cope
into copropia
I'm trying to cope
okay
what else is going on
oh wait no I had an apology to make
I
was listening back to last week's episode
and I went on my whole
jK like
discussion
and then I kept calling
George R.R. Martin
J.R. Martin
because I was also talking about Tolkien
and no one corrected you either
I didn't get any corrections
I got so many messages about last week's episode,
most of which were saying how funny it was.
Thanks, listener.
I know it was funny.
I listened to it too.
Better than the one before it, I tell you what?
The one before it was a train wreck.
It was so boring, sorry.
You know we lost every single listener we've ever had that week,
and we got them all back?
Yeah.
The, the, um, your monologue about, um, going on.
Oh, no.
Oh, my God, why do I want to say changing rooms?
the block.
What were they talking about?
I have no recollection of that.
It's so funny.
What is it?
It's so funny.
What did I say?
It's you encouraged going on the block and you're like,
oh, so I've changed the breakfast nook into a douching station.
No!
No!
Into a watering station.
That's what the French call a shower.
A shower. Yeah.
Yeah, it was very funny.
I forgot that.
It was very funny.
People kept saying the.
block and I was like, I actually don't know what people do you?
Well, then there was that comment about the alphabet.
I know.
I was telling you the story about the alphabet and you had told that same story to me like
two years ago.
This is like gas leak territory.
It also is like when you're watching like a really long running series like vampire diaries
and then it's like, well, how could she not be immune from vampire by it?
She had the necklace in season one that her grandmother gave her and they've just completely
changed that.
And people finding out new information.
It's hard to keep track of all the things we say.
No.
What we should say is that it's all part of the rich tapestry
and we're just trying to provoke engagement.
Well, also it's like we're in a different timeline.
That was season three.
We're in season five.
Are we?
I think so.
Oh, who could say?
I think I know.
So I can't have done that apology.
Did I have another one?
No.
Who are you apologizing to?
Myself, more than anything.
Oh, that's nice.
It's okay to get next door.
Do you forgive yourself?
It's going to take some time.
George R.R.R. Martin.
Yeah.
So it's Grr Martin.
Yeah.
And jokes rolling.
Yeah.
J-K.
J-K.
And what's Tolkien?
J-K-R.
J-R-R-R.
J-F-K.
J-R.
J-R.
It's crazy that it's George R-R-R and J-R-A.
That's why I got confused, listener.
I think that's on purpose.
He stole it.
I think he was trying to evoke
the lineage.
What about this message that I got from listener,
Andrea?
Water bottle?
We need to have an episode with Andrea water bottle.
Okay, totally get your five thing with maths,
and I'm a math teacher,
and then she said primary, which is haunting.
So what do you think about that?
I don't understand.
This whole monologue last week about how you
add and subtract things.
Well, the primary school teacher agrees with my logic.
It didn't make sense, Zelda.
Yeah.
Honestly, as well, I just can't believe you get so many messages and no one sends me shit.
Oh, sorry.
No one sends me anything.
Okay, and then, and this is my final follow-up to last week's incredible episode, is
so we were talking about the Savage Land in Marvel.
in like X-Men comics or whatever.
Oh, far out.
And I talked about Sauron.
Yeah.
And you were like,
and then...
Sauron was actually a really popular name in the mid-80s.
And because we talked about Magic the Gathering not too long ago,
listener Ben has sent me the Sauron Magic the Gathering card, which is hilarious.
Which Sauron?
Sauron, the Teradaptal.
I'm going to send it to the...
Sauron from Marvel.
I'm actually going to send it.
Yes.
Magic, the Gathering, Wizards of the Coors.
Could you stop?
I know everybody said this.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh, actually...
Are you sending it?
I've sent it, and now I'm going to read it out.
I'll read, please.
So, Sauron, legendary creature, dinosaur, vampire, villain.
It's complex.
Flying, whenever Sauron enters or attacks, choose one.
He's got two moves.
Cure cancer.
Oh.
Oh, no.
dog out there
I know
you gain three life
and turn people
into dinosaurs
what
fabulous moves
anyway
very disparate
sort of
types of
attacks that you can do
also to let you know
listener
it costs five manner
to play
two forests
and three
non-specified
sauron
dino devote
is wearing a loincloth
yeah
which is like
do terradact
need loincloths.
Well, he transfers into an out-of-a-man shape.
Oh.
And then in this image, he's kind of clearly, like, you know, arms to the sky,
screaming to the heavens, long teraductal tongue kind of, and a loincloth.
And then in the distance, there's a set of computer monitors,
and there's another dinosaur man kind of looking around like, what?
Yeah, this little friend of his I'm not familiar with.
I don't think these two are friends.
Oh, you don't?
No, it's like, why are you screaming Sauron?
Yeah, we're in the workplace.
Yeah, I'm trying to finish my work for the day.
Yeah.
It's a Thursday.
I think Sauron's like chatty Kathy in the office.
I just don't think that dinosaurs working on computers is what people want.
Oh, okay.
That's not what is cool about dinosaurs.
Oh, yeah.
It's like working on computers is cool.
But they would be doing that if they still were alive today.
Working on computers.
Yeah.
They have to have jobs.
You know that birds are like the descendant of dinosaurs and I've rarely seen any of them working on computers.
You don't go to the right offices.
Wait, speaking of birds.
Did you see that video I sent earlier of Salma Hayek and her pet owl?
Yes.
How cute.
Oh, she got a pet owl.
Yeah.
She's eccentric.
I hope she takes care of it.
Yeah.
She's married to one of the wealthiest men in the world.
What?
Did you know that?
Who?
Selma is married to the guy who owns the mother company that has like Louis VIII.
Ton, Gucci, everything.
Wow.
So she's like worth billions with a boo.
And how much is the owl was?
Well, I'm sure she can afford to take care of it.
You know what it's funny?
Because in that video she says like, oh, sometimes like, I don't know why she's saying this,
but like I would never put it inside a bag, which like, of course it's a bird, Selma.
But she's like, sometimes it will like hop on to it.
And then it hops onto her bag that I presumed when I watched was very expensive.
But now I realize if it gets little talent scratch marks, well, I'll just throw it away and buy another.
Yeah.
Yeah.
For free.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Freibus.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Oh, thinking about being Selma Hayek, also someone that just like doesn't get in trouble.
Mm-hmm.
She's like so wealthy.
We spend all this time talking about what wealthy people are doing with their wealth.
Yeah.
No one's talking about her.
well we are right now yeah but only in this kind of like cursory oh is your al's talons getting into your luxury handbag
not like why aren't you trying to solve hunger well i don't know if you met me but that's not really my um
mission in there no it's true oh so salma hayak yeah what a gift oh she's so good
what was your first salmahyak experience it was in dogma where she plays um the inspiration
Like sexy goddess.
Yeah.
Oh, wait, maybe it was in Spy Kids.
Is she, does she pop in and Inspire Kids too?
I don't know.
I feel like you're better equipped to answer that question.
She's a mom?
Isn't she the mom?
No, it's different from the mom, but I think she has like a cameo.
Selma Hayek.
Mine was the faculty.
Oh, amazing.
So you waited quite a while before you discovered the powers of Selma Hayek.
Yeah, or at least that was like where it was ingrained.
she was incredible.
I wonder if she knew that billionaire back then.
Plades the character Francesca Giggles,
also known as Cesska Giggles,
in Spy Kids 3D Game Over.
Oh, she has high ponytails.
Wait, Spy Kids.
Ari, do you like Spy Kids?
He's not on the microphone.
Oh, good.
Oh, okay.
He can come over here.
Oh, yeah, come on over.
I've only seen the thumb one.
Yeah, the first one?
Yeah, the thumb-thums are chasing them.
I think.
I also had a nightmare about that.
Yeah, they're pretty terrifying.
I haven't seen any of them.
Wait, is Elijah Wooden in those movies?
He's in number three.
He comes in for like 20 seconds and then dies.
It's crazy.
That's good.
It is good.
It's really good.
Now that, you know, Junie is married to Megan Traynor and they have a kid together.
Oh.
Yeah.
Oh.
That's cute.
Yeah, I remember going to the Calandra cinema to go and see Spike Kids 3D.
And I think it was on my own.
I think my nan was like, go have fun.
And like, set me in.
I got 3D glasses.
Wait, Samaha
it looks incredible in this movie.
Sexa giggles.
Yeah.
She's got piggy tails.
Yeah, with like scrunchies that are, like, glitter fabric.
Like with those little spiky glitter bits coming out.
Yeah.
Oh, that's fun.
Okay.
Okay.
Shall we kill the world?
Yeah.
Whose turn is it?
Why don't we have Ari do it?
Ari.
Ari.
I just put Ari on it.
So.
Ari, how do you want the world to end?
Can we make it a zombie apocalypse?
Yeah.
Yeah, alright, can you give it some spice?
Yeah, you've got to explain it.
Yeah.
Tell a story about it.
How did that?
Um, uh...
Okay, so we're here today and then what happens?
Yeah.
Um, I want to say
a factory
malfunctioning.
And it's like that Vegemite factory down in like the docklands or something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And somehow, somehow that it creates zombies.
Vegemite themed, yeasty zombies.
Yeah, the yeast.
The yeast explosion.
Probably the living yeast, yeah.
It goes into the brain.
Wow.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's dark, Ari.
My bad.
And how quickly does it spread?
How quickly does it spread?
Well, they try and kind of like contain it in the dock lines first, you know?
Well, no one's there.
No one's there to kill, yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
But then one does like, it does get out.
Yeah.
Yeah, Melbourne's the first to go.
Oh, yeah.
That's fine.
We're safe.
Yeah, they're not going to find this.
And so it spreads across the world.
And then our doomsday bunker is the only safe place.
Yeah.
Yes, of course.
Yeah.
Cool.
Oh, that's cool.
Thank you for that, Ari.
Okay.
And with that, we'll be right back.
Bye-bye.
Hello.
Dasha.
Welcome back, everyone.
Now, as we're still coming back from some time away, we've got, the mailbox continues to be full.
Now, I realize I'm rolling the dice with this, because who knows what Leon is about to say, annoying bird.
I am the great Leon, you know.
The professional.
Yeah.
but hopefully it's G-rated.
Oh my God, Leon, please do not say anything.
Yeah, okay.
We all knew this was coming.
Poor innocent Ari.
It doesn't need to hear your...
Yeah.
I mean, Ari's watching that smutty young royals.
Yeah, true.
There's kissing in that.
There's kissing on the lips.
Wait, what is...
Heart Stopper?
Is that...
Should I watch that?
I don't think you should watch that.
Ari's got an opinion.
Oh, yeah?
Okay.
it's nice and sweet, but young Royals is better.
Okay.
Yeah.
What do you think about Kit Connor playing Cyclops?
You what?
Every answer is correct.
Thank you so much.
He's too, like, sweet.
He's a nice, but he's really fit now.
Is he?
Yeah.
Scott isn't sweet.
Scott's a bit of a douche.
Whoa.
That's a French for shout.
Okay, let's play the track.
Hit it.
The voicemail.
Is that what you mean?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hi, Lazy.
Hi, Zelda.
Hey.
And Matt.
How's it going?
It's Leon.
Not that one from Lilight Wars.
Is that what you called?
I agree you made a Laila.
I played that one when I was younger, but I literally cannot remember any of it.
But an actual Leon.
Yes.
So I just thought I'd say hello.
It's not what this is for.
Wait, is that it?
But I just wanted to also.
say congratulations to lazy. I've been watching your troubles overseas. Just watch the pod
with Bob. Fantastic work. I was literally screaming the entire time. When you showed that
photo of Spanky, just pure comedy goal. Thank you, yeah. But yeah, you know, it's a fantastic
trip and really exciting stuff and you're doing really fantastic things overseas. So I just wanted
to celebrate that. And there's so many things I could ask.
Okay. You know, what you've been doing, who you've been seeing, and all that type of stuff.
Interesting. So I think the question I would ask is Zelda, which sexy bisexual that you've got a hot, hot crush on goes in the bunker?
Okay. Bye.
You're really getting on the line there, but I think you kept it quite PG.
Yeah, yeah. And we can continue this as PG.
I think
What bisexual?
Yeah
That's not PG at all
What hot bisexual
That I have a crush on
Okay
Yeah
What?
You can have a crush
On a hot bisexual
When you're 15 to 16
Yeah
I'm observing
I feel like that's the theme
Of most
Most media
For 15 and 16 year olds
Are you, are there any bisexuals
In young royals?
I'm not actually sure
I don't think they are
I don't know
I don't think they're safe
They're hard to spy
Yeah.
It's not the day of visibility yet.
Oh, I thought that one was quite funny.
And how do you know unless they're with two people the same time?
Prove it.
All right.
Prove it.
Well, now we're back in the gutter.
Okay.
Oh, this is so hard because I don't want to expose anyone.
Wait, you're talking from your own life?
Yeah.
Who are the bisexuals in your life?
No.
I've never seen them.
I can't go there.
Although I did message one of them yesterday.
I was like, I'm just going to give it another shot.
Which one?
No, I can't say.
Well, give me a detail that only I'll know.
Sword.
Sword?
Yeah.
That could describe so many people.
No, think about it.
Are they a larpa?
Not to my knowledge.
Do they just carry a sword?
In your universe.
Oh.
That's a good one.
Did he reply?
Not yet.
Okay, we'll see.
But I, from, I actually can't say anything else.
But we'll see.
Who knows?
Oh, that was just so hot, though.
Anyway.
Valet.
Valet.
Okay, what famous bisexuals are there that I'm tantalized by?
Lady Gaga.
Okay.
Sure.
My heart would be kick on her.
yeah i mean like kit conner like it is quite chic that he is bisexual um but i haven't seen him in
anything i don't think it's as common for mainstream celebrity men to come out as bisexual yeah
because yeah it just doesn't it doesn't like your agent would be like if you're bisexual
just play straight yeah because it will damage your career if people think
you're queer.
Absolutely.
Wait, this list is telling me that
Keenan Lonsdale is bisexual.
I thought he was gay guy.
No.
Oh.
Brovet.
Wayne Brady from
Whose Linen is it anyway?
Oh, yeah.
That guy that wears a fedora.
Oh, what a gift.
I don't think that's...
For the bisexual community.
I don't know about that.
Yeah, being bisexual is so much more popular with women.
Celebrities.
Yeah, I think it's definitely less stigmatized.
Drew Barrymore?
Yes, famous bisexual.
What?
Who is she?
Prove it.
I remember so vividly in high school,
my dear friend Vanessa was in love with Drew Barrymore
and found her bisexual advocacy quite important to her development as a young woman.
And every year on Drew Barrymore's birthday,
we'd have a big party to celebrate Drew Barrymore.
And we would have a big party to celebrate Drew Barrymore.
watch a Drew Barrymore film and we'd all come dressed up with something from Drew Barrymore.
Um, Angelina Jolie.
Yeah.
Is Angelina already in the bunker?
Yeah, she is, right?
I'm pretty sure.
Yeah, Matt, could you cross-check that one, so?
Yeah, Matt, could you cross-check that one saw me?
Most bunker-coated celebrity.
Yeah.
She is.
She's an Eddington Red Carpet attendee.
Oh, of course.
What?
I don't know why we had that as a category that week.
Because I went to Eddington,
premiere, I can't.
No, you didn't.
What?
Did you?
Yes.
That's how I ended up seeing Eddington.
I don't remember.
What a time that was.
Oh, that was the one with the bee.
The bee.
The fly.
That's what Emma Stone got attacked by a buoy.
Dress like a flower?
You're going to get bees.
Wait, Alan coming?
Is it bisexual?
I thought he was gay guy.
Well, you never know.
God, okay.
Zelda?
Yeah.
I think you should just pick someone from your personal life.
No
Give them a code name
It's all right
You don't have to tell us who it is
But that is
No
Zelda
They're all so annoying
Do you think any of them
Listen to this?
Some of them
But didn't one of your recent flames
Start listening to this pod
Just like last week
Yes
Hello
How are you?
Are you doing well?
he isn't bisexual though
he's this gay guy
gay guy
gay guys
I mean it's the spectrum let's be real
the Kinsey scale
Of course
Yeah
Um okay okay
Okay okay
Um
Well
maybe purely through code
We'll put in
Um
The sword maker
Okay
Yeah
If you want to know more about that listener
You'll have to send me a DM
Or talk to me about in person
Because I simply can't commit it
to um to the public record correct correct but best believe fuckern smoke show um he's doing he seems to be
doing well i think so yeah yeah but from what i could gleam had recently broken up with his girlfriend
that's why i send him a message there you go wherever you go there she will be hey hello it came up on my
yeah and you'd be like it's my time it's kind of like an eclipse or something you know when people have broken up
start posting again.
Oh, yeah.
It's so the window when someone is fun again for like, I don't know, 10 weeks and you're
like, oh, I missed single you.
God, you're fun.
And then they get into another relationship.
You're like, I'll see you in 10 years.
Yeah.
Goodbye.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you think that, um, no, no, no.
What?
I think that's part of why like generally when people are in their early 20s, like, it is just more fun.
because everyone's single them.
And single them is always more chaotic, more adventurous, more weird.
And I appreciate single them of all my friends.
And I think in a lot of ways, I prefer single them of almost every one of my friends.
I'm probably the most single of all of your friends.
Yeah.
That's why you hang around so much.
Do you know how annoying couple Zelda will be?
Oh, my God, she's the worst.
Yeah.
You haven't had a real taste of that.
No.
No, not really.
I've seen you in like the very early throes of something.
Yeah.
And God, she's a mess.
No, no.
Well, just keep that consistent, just for you, sister.
Thank you.
That's very kind.
Although couple mat, I've only really, only ever known couple, Matt.
Yeah, I think I was already, I just started dating my wife.
My wife.
My wife.
Yeah.
Ari, did you get that one?
Do you know that one?
Ari's too young for that.
Okay, okay, okay.
Well, Leon, annoying bird, I'll thank you once again for this message.
And thank you for your compliments.
I appreciate them.
They go straight into my heart.
Uncle Andrew.
No, that's Andrew.
Let's take a break.
Hello.
Hello.
Welcome back.
Welcome back.
Okay.
I did appreciate that compliment.
I do want to say quickly that I realize this season of drag race, I've not, like, during my season of drag race, I was kept quite a healthy distance from my phone and computer and everything.
Wasn't really checking Twitter.
Wasn't really checking the Reddits because it was not healthy.
because I don't think you need to know
what everyone is saying about you
that's their business, not mine
however
and I love that people talk about the show
however recently
Dawn and Monet
were talking about me
and I didn't see the episode
I just saw a comment of their react
and I'm so glad they're doing a react
because it's actually so good for the show
if people like Dawn and Monet are talking about it
but I don't know
I don't want them to be mean about me
I would like them to be mean about me
I would like them
to just either not bring me up.
Yes.
Or, no, that's it.
And what happened?
I don't know what she said, but I know that Dawn has been disparaging my Luke.
Oh, did you still not look it up?
No, I can't.
I can't.
I can't know that.
Listen, now, we were talking briefly about this last night, but I thought that by now is
no, I could never know.
Oh, that's very disciplined.
Because, like, hate it.
Let them hate, you know.
I presume they're hating.
I assume, yeah.
But it's just like, I just, it's really, I'm like, oh.
No.
No.
But no.
Also, did you know, someone came up to me last night?
And they were like, I thought those were slices of cheese.
Yes.
The internet has been ablaze talking about my episode seven outfit, which is post-it notes.
But a lot of people thought it was cheese.
Which I'm like, that's immediately better.
Thank you for the credit of giving that.
Because I would love to be in craft singles.
Just like your craft singles.
Yeah.
That's cool.
What were you dressed up as last night?
Were you a baby?
Oh, for the live show.
Yes.
I was doing Born to Tribe by Delta Goodrum.
And through the powers of complex thinking, I said, born, what's born?
Babies or the ultimatum?
And so I went for that.
Actually, I should have done the born identity.
Oh no.
Next time.
Then you fell apart.
You fell apart.
Oh, no.
What?
You know.
I haven't seen.
You know that sound?
Yeah, the Moby song.
Yeah.
But, so you were a little baby.
What were you trying to do?
You were trying to drink a drink or something?
Yeah, I was trying to drink a drink.
That was the narrative of the show.
It was about a baby with her mother.
Yeah.
And she feeds her a little drink.
Did the classic head through the arm.
Yeah.
And had a little baby outfit on my body.
And then Zelda, I tried to feed me a drink, but it wasn't right.
Yeah.
So she sat me down at the bar.
She spat it up.
Did you enjoy how I picked up that random receipt and kind of,
Oh, yes, I enjoyed that.
And then put it at the bar and then Zelda went and grabbed some vodka and kept adding more.
As I was like, not right yet for baby.
Yeah.
And then eventually I ended up with a drink that was very real vodka at a very, very high concentration.
Yes.
Why are you feeding your baby vodka?
I don't understand.
I mean, listen, you're an alcoholic already.
Well, it's kind of like, it's a bit da-da.
Like, you know, art doesn't need to make sense.
Like, it's just an idea.
Like, you know what I mean?
Who gives a shit?
Looking for meaning is not valuable in the 21st century.
Yeah.
We're post-structural.
You know?
Sure.
Okay, whatever.
Do you know, it's a baby.
There's vodka.
We're at a bar.
I was just trying to understand what the point was.
Ari.
But perhaps you spend the last time trying to understand and just understand it.
Ari, can I ask Ari a question now?
Yeah.
What's your favorite Dada artwork?
Who's Dada?
Okay.
Lady Dada.
No, okay.
Okay.
Great.
Now,
he wasn't born then.
It's all right.
Hey, what?
We were.
It's all right.
Were we?
I think so.
During Dadaism.
Oh, man.
Always rewriting history.
How old are you?
How old are you know?
I'm timeless.
That's right.
Yeah.
Okay, so we have a speaker.
Another one.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
This one from Lucy.
Now I have.
hazard a guess that I know who this is.
But also, I hope you're keeping it clean, Lucy.
All right.
Dear Celestial Goddesses,
and extra special space car driver Matt.
Greetings.
I'm speak piping once again to see how much I have been enjoying the pod.
Also, I have a new category for your own's consideration.
This strikes dread into the hearts of many parents of young children.
children, I'm talking bookweek costumes.
Oh!
Last year, I spent what felt like years converting an adult women's size bear onesie from the
op shop into the requested Garfield costume.
It was accessorized with a paper mashay lasagna.
Oh.
My son came home demoralized with the following feedback.
It wasn't fun.
There weren't enough other children, aka characters from the comic to play with.
Garfield?
It was too hot and cumbersome.
This year, my kids have chosen a Minotaur costume from ancient Greek mythology
and Epos, the flamebird beast from the incredibly dull and prolific fantasy series Beast Quest.
What I can say is FML.
So I ask you, which bookquake costume from your collective her story or imagined gets into the bunker?
Wow.
book week it is so funny how long this has been like a cheat day because book week like you have kids
going as spider man yeah to book week sorry no I'm not at my book week couldn't agree more just for
the record yeah but you know I think it's like get rid of the books call it costume week oh
what why not no it's book week no do book week as well but I think like
Like there's obviously like a need, there's a desire.
Yeah.
To get in costume.
Yes.
I think that that's why people are dressing up as Spider-Man.
Uh-huh.
And they don't want to just dress up for something from a book.
Yeah.
They want to dress up as their favorite character.
It sounds anti-like literacy, what I'm saying.
But I think the children yearn to be in costumes.
Yeah.
Let them wear costumes.
But why can't they stick to the brief?
Yeah, no.
I think in this.
There's so many books.
No, but I...
And I...
It goes Jesus.
I did it on my book week as well.
I have to say, I came with Chuckie Finster from Rugrats.
And I pointed to a book, a book based on the show.
Yeah.
And I was like, I have a Rugrats book.
Yeah.
My teacher should have slapped the dumb out of me.
Yes.
And said, bitch, that's not a fucking...
It's a TV show.
Yeah.
Oh, Mama.
Why?
I don't think we have Book Week at Stime.
Do you not?
Did you have books?
Did you have book wake, Ari?
Um, yeah, because I, no, I was in a public school for my, like, primary school years.
So, yes, I did have bookwaker.
Tell us about your...
It wasn't a character, but I, like, made my own character.
I was, like, a butterfly, but I, like, I put, like, book pages on my wings.
Oh.
Oh.
That's so cool.
So I was a very creative child.
Yeah.
But not one that follows the rules.
A butterfly.
is weak and covered in books.
Yeah, it's a very literal translation of book week.
Category fraud, something I know a lot about,
because I'm accused of it all the time.
Oh my God, I'm so bitter.
But the children do need to come in book outfits.
From a book, something from a book.
Something from a book.
Original book, not from a movie that's been made into a book.
And not a picture.
a book, I think. Oh, no Harry
McCleary? No Harry McCleary.
Because do you know what I think... There's the novelisation of
Harry Maclary though. But I think what
would be interesting for Bookweek is
for kids
to have to take something written
and interpret it themselves,
imagine it themselves.
Yeah, if you see a picture of it, then you're just going to
copy that. The copying of pictures feels
like the issue. Whereas having
free reign to do whatever you want.
Like a butterfly with books for weeks. Exactly.
Ari, I support you.
I haven't read that book, sorry.
I do think it's funny.
Yeah.
That culturally, despite the fact that statistically a majority of Australians, adult Australians, do not read at all, like would not be reading a book.
People still have a reverence for the physical objects of books.
Yes.
Right?
Yes.
And so it's like when people, people.
see books being chopped up or
pulped or thrown away or whatever
or torn up. People are really
mad. Yeah. And you're like
you know there are so many
books out there that need to be pulped.
Yes. Because they're not good.
Yes. Just because it's been printed
does not make it good. So
absolutely. And watching
Cherry Wallace, that evil witch woman
from the UK,
doing her like
woeful
like mystery subscription box book reviews
of these books that she is never going to read.
And they're like, I mean, bless.
Like, it's actually amazing to be a published author.
But they're all these, like, trash fantasy books that have, like, ugh, like,
like, manga style characters on, like, the inner sleeve.
Oh, it's just so trashyrella.
Yeah.
But these, like, tome books exist that have, like, beautiful, you know, like, foil filigrees on them and stuff.
and it's just for the object
to just sit as a prop in some,
like,
it's grim.
When, how far do you think I am
from getting a book deal?
I want a book deal.
You should have one.
Like, you should.
Like, if you pursued that in 2027,
you would get it.
What would your book be about, though?
I have only one idea.
And it's not for a,
it's not for a written book.
It's for like a coffee table book.
Yeah.
But bear with me.
Okay.
Coffee table book, kind of A-24 style.
Like what, you know, they're gorgeous coffee table books.
But it would be...
They make films, lazy.
Volume one, a documentation of contemporary drag merchandise.
Oh.
Like, it would have, like, keychain stickers from all the drag queens.
Like, just, like, obviously, like, selected.
But, like, when Alaska put out a snowboard,
globe.
Yeah.
You know, like these various items that are so niche and cool, like really good t-shirt
designs, really good, like, thing.
And then, like, it would just become, like, a big toy and I could go around and
collect and photograph, like, the sasha velour collectible pins, like, those kinds of
obscure niche objects.
Because I think the artifacts that are going to be left behind from the Tamisha Eman
sneaker.
Yeah, yeah.
The artifacts are going to be left behind from this era of drag race are really interesting.
and the further we get from the context of the show being like this massive thing,
the more these kind of bizarre little, you know, trinkets are going to stick out.
Yes, yeah.
And have to kind of stand on their own merit as objects.
And I think there's such a funny thing that happens in the trends of like various art styles
that drag queens choose for their merch.
There's like a very, like you can kind of almost picture how a drag queen is going to
put their face on a t-shirt when it's like an illustration.
Yes, yes.
You know exactly what it's going to look like.
On 1,000%.
Yeah.
That's fun.
Yeah, wouldn't that be cool?
Yes.
And then someone could dress up as something from that.
Yes.
A book week.
Yes.
I say 824 because they had an amazing book that I own,
which is like the sort of merch that studios would send out to like campaign for
their film to like industry insiders.
So like the Jurassic Park, you know,
hat that they sent out to accompany the release of the film to get people excited about it and like
they do all these like different creative fun ones to kind of make people excited like within
the industry but yeah i love that that'd be so fun that's fun and then i'd write a harrowing fiction book
yeah what would your book be about zilda well i i mean my like when the time comes and i write my
autobiography entitled Zelda Moon and those who wronged me.
That will, I mean, the story is yet to be fully told.
So I couldn't speak on in just yet.
Still so many bold people to wrong you.
Yeah.
And they're in the process of wronging you right now.
Yeah, they're in the room right now.
Are you?
And, yeah, I don't know.
But I don't know.
You know what I, the book that I'm most looking forward to,
and good God help me,
I hope this hasn't actually happened yet.
But our makeup artist from witchy girls, Sam Pierce,
was putting together like an adult style, like, coloring book
with, like, outlined illustrations of things.
What was the concept?
There was a specific number.
Oh, was it?
I can't remember.
Also, they're not my details to tell.
Sorry, I shouldn't save them because the book doesn't exist yet.
But it's, like, ready to go.
Yeah.
Like that's the next book I'm looking forward to.
Oh, it's going to be so cute.
I have, like, the most harrowing story I think I've heard from a drag race alarm.
Because I listen to her book.
I'm going to let her remain nameless.
But I listened to her book.
And I was like, bitch, this is a mess.
Like it was just not a book.
It was like a series of tweets or something.
And so I was talking to her and I was like, girl, the book.
look what the hell oh and then she was like bitch don't even get me started she was like so i had hired
a comedian ghostwriter initially for the book and when it came back it was so inappropriate and like
was saying all this stuff that like could literally get me in trouble with world of wonder just like
kind of like dogpiling the show and like that sort of stuff yeah and so i went back and was like i'm sorry
we can't use any of this and the comedian was like well i'm not going to
do anything about that.
And then the deadline, and she'd already been, she was like, when you get a book deal,
you get paid a certain amount of money when you get the sign.
And then you get paid a certain money money when you deliver the completed manuscript.
Yeah.
And then you get paid a certain amount of money when it gets released.
And then you get paid your final amount of money, like once you've completed all your
press obligations.
Yeah.
So like by the time you get paid the full sign.
which like, you know, might be like $50,000 or whatever.
Yeah.
It takes you like two years to get that money.
Like you don't just get it up front.
Yeah, yeah.
And so she was like at the point where they're like,
we need the manuscript because we have to have this book ready by blank.
And then she was like, fuck.
And then so she and her friend locked themselves in a room and they both got COVID.
And they were sick as a dog.
And in one week wrote the entire book.
Oh, my God.
based on just conversations voice members converted
and then like written really quickly into a book format.
Wow.
And I mean, this is why you don't trust Ghost Rider.
It doesn't matter if it's Johnny.
It doesn't matter if it's Robbie.
It doesn't matter if it's Danny.
Like it doesn't matter if Nicholas Cage is playing him.
Ghost Rider's not to be trusted.
Yeah.
Even in the new version.
No.
With what's his face from that rock movie?
He's got a skull, flaming skull for a man.
Yes.
I do you think is...
I do you think is the most articulate writer of our time?
No, you need eyes to be able to see.
Yes.
Oh, see, that's limiting.
Famously flammable.
Yeah.
It's just not safe.
So anyway, book week.
Oh, yes.
I think as a competitive person and as someone who could very well craft an incredible bookweek outfit,
I would relish the opportunity to put the other mums in their place.
I think you need to start thinking about bookweek as an opportunity to take the faces of your fellow class mothers.
I say this because it's always the moms and rub their face in the dirt.
And live your victory as your child comes in as a flaming, flaming mythical bird.
Yeah.
You could go as the wardrobe.
From the lion the witch.
Yeah.
Back to the closet for me.
Yes.
How are we going to make this flaming bird that?
So.
Flaming bird.
Okay.
Let's think on it.
Cellophane.
Well, that's, you know, okay.
And like little fans.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think it would be cool if maybe you did,
can you do like a mounted bird on the head?
The child isn't the bird.
The child is the ashes.
And then like, you know, have puppet, you know, puppeteering, you know, of a headpiece.
Can the face of the child be the bird's face though?
Inside the beak.
Mm.
I don't like that.
No, I don't like that.
like inside the beak because what?
We don't have faces inside of beak.
It's like it's swallowed a child.
Oh, okay, no, that I'm into.
And their face is still stuck in this room.
Oh, that is good.
Help me, I'm stuck in the esophagus of this bird.
Flaming and Bert was that in the book?
Like a Pelican.
Wait, I need to send you all this Pelican video right now.
You say something.
Okay, well, Flaming Bird.
I mean, yeah, first thought to celebrate them.
I don't know what's going to survive the day.
We're also looking for something that's easy to put on
and take off.
Indurable.
Do you know what I would do?
You can get on Ali Express or like Timu or whatever the hell like automated butterfly wings
that like strapped to the back, right?
They're like they flap.
Yeah, but they're powered.
So get one of those.
Cut it down to size.
Add on.
And then some of them are you going to have lights in them already.
So you could just like cover them over with some cellophane.
So I would take that.
I would get cellophane, cut it into flame-like strips in various colors,
get four colors at least of like red to orange in that gradient.
And then add on, take some clear, because they're going to be clear,
these butterfly wings, if they're good.
And they'll have lights in them already.
Just extend them out a little bit.
Maybe with some wire or just some clear plastic, like top of where container plastic.
Stick that on to the side, bring them out a little bit.
it can't add too much weight
that's going to be the thing
that's going to stop the motor from working
extend them out
even just like a lightweight
wire like a coat hanger
and then drape them in the
cellophane
like you're going to cut them into little
fire shapes little viz
and they're going to go down over the lights
over the existing butterfly wing
and that's it you're done
honey put them in a little red top
yeah
flaming
yeah
flaming
that's good
Yeah.
Notice you haven't picked up your phone to watch the pelican video I just mentioned.
Well, we're filming a pod.
Well, we can describe the pelicans.
Okay, so listen, I want you to picture a Japanese primary school.
Filled with children.
Horrified by a gigantic pelican that has flown down into the school yard.
It looks like it could consume at least one child.
One child is chasing the pelagin.
They're delighted by this visitor.
Delighted by it.
The pelican could just fly away, but it's stomping around, it's chasing kids, it's being chased by the cameraman.
It's a delight.
It's huge.
It's colossal than children.
Yes.
Yes.
They're playing piano to it now.
It's singing a song.
Yeah.
Ari, what do you think about the video?
I'm kind of scared for the children.
Or the pelican.
I think I'm not scared for the pelican.
I do think the children might beat the pelican to death.
That's always an option with kids.
It's not a pinata.
Oh, it's gone now.
It's over.
Yeah.
It flies away.
It's so charming.
Is this real?
Could that be bookweek costume?
It does look like AI, but it's also very detailed.
No, it's real.
It must be real.
It's real.
Why have we not seen it before now is my question.
Don't say that it's AI.
What do you mean?
I think that's AI.
No, can't I have anything nice?
It's from 1985.
Maybe.
I was before internet, so maybe it's only been uploaded because it was on a video.
Wait, is the Pelican in the reflection of those windows?
That would be a really good tell.
Wait, one moment.
Is this good podcasting?
We know we won an award.
No, this is not good.
The Pelican reflection, I can't confirm if it's in the glass.
Look.
Just enjoy it.
Let's put in the flaming bird costume.
Wait, what was the bird from?
That's from what she is your...
What?
From the interminable beast's...
Oh, right.
Okay.
I'd go as Polgarra.
You'd go as Polgarra?
Yeah, from David Eddings's book series.
I love Polarra.
What's her thing?
She's got a lock of white hair.
She's the daughter of a wizard.
She is, oh, I can't say the C word, but she's...
She's hot with an attitude, you know?
And all powerful.
Oh, she's so good.
She has a sister that's not quite as powerful that has red hair.
Love that too.
Oh, so good.
Porcarra.
Can we pull Porgar in the bunker?
I'm not convinced.
Okay, well, I'll try again later.
But, so what are we calling the costume?
I mean, that was just advice.
We don't have to put that in.
Well, it's probably time to move on.
So, it's not a phoenix.
It is a phoenix.
It is.
We're putting in a phoenix costume.
Yeah.
Okay.
But not from Order of the Phoenix.
Matt, can you put that in?
No one even brought it up.
In Capitals and bold.
Not Harry Potter.
Yeah.
Okay, that's good.
We'll be right back.
Okay.
That's her.
Hello.
Hey, look at us again.
What?
Your favorite.
friends.
Hanging out, spending time.
You know what we're doing so long?
Yeah, she tricked me.
What?
I feel like, she's just looking at a phone,
I presume she's just watching that Pelican video.
I am.
I actually?
No.
Oh.
Okay, okay, okay.
Our final speakhole for the day.
Finale.
Yeah.
It's from Doug.
Of the eponymous,
Doug.
From Doug.
Maybe.
I hate it.
Doug. I hated Doug. Oh, I hated it. Not Doug McLeod, who went to my school. He was great.
Oh. What do you think about, um, Tim Curry being Nigel Thornbrough? Love it. How funny is that?
What a versatile and incredible performer. Yes. We have been robbed. I didn't know that.
Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah. Tim Curry's amazing. Yeah. Um, yeah. Um, yeah. Okay. Well, hello, Celestial goddesses and
space car driver, Matt.
Hope we're doing well.
I am loving drag race down under versus the world right now.
I'm obsessed.
Yeah.
So I'd really love to know out of Art Simone's looks, which one is getting in the bunker?
And out of lazy Susan's looks, which one is getting into the bunker?
That's very kind.
Was this Dawn?
Is this Dawn trying to jerk me?
Fun!
Yes!
Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Well, they're not finished yet, I mean...
Yeah.
So at time of recording, we have but one episode left.
But one?
Yeah.
Okay, I'm going to say my finale look that you haven't seen.
I was also going to say that.
That's great.
You're going to love it.
That's what we're putting in, but listener, this comes out on Tuesday,
and you'll have to wait into a Friday to know the costume we're referring to.
And I'm not talking about what I'm wearing at the panel in the final episode.
I'm talking about what I wear out to bring the crown on onto the stage.
which we have a story for
I'll tell you guys next week.
Ova!
Art Simone, yeah.
I mean, listen, it sounds basic.
Yeah.
But this week, episode seven,
Art Simone was lip syncing against Michelle Maroulli.
Yeah.
Oh.
In a kind of, was it like a,
what does I call it?
The Liquid Satin jumpsuit.
Yeah, had this really thick cording.
I think it's a James Pearting.
Penrose body suit, full body suit.
Oh, really?
It looks like Penrose.
But it's just the most finished, like a superhero suit.
It looked amazing.
And what I will say as well is that Art Simone, after the fact,
because I was watching her from the judging panel,
and I was like, Art's a tiny gal.
Like, but she was getting skinnier and skinnier and skinnier as the time went by.
And I was like, girl, I've never seen you.
so skinny.
And apparently she'd just been so anxious that she wasn't eating.
And then also she wasn't like, there was a lot of fish being served and a lot of like delicious, fabulous,
but things that she was just like not going to eat.
Yeah.
And then, yeah, by the time the second last episode that she was wearing that jump suit,
she was like wasting away, but it did look incredible.
She looked real good.
Yeah, turns out slowly dying, does a body good.
Oh, wow.
It's like kind of the way you need to wear a jumpsuit though.
There's a reason the superheroes are in this peak physical form.
Yeah.
With like out an ounce of body fat.
And what is something that, you know,
I'm confronting about my body.
When wearing a bodysuit by body suit is the poke out of the corset.
Because the corset is doing everything.
it needs to do, but then, like, at the low point of your, like, tummy, where the edge of the
corset is between that and your, like, groin is, like, the edge of the corset. And if you were,
like, it's really hard to, like, flatten that out. Yeah. Unless you, like, tape it down. Yeah.
Which, well, we have a story about that. Yeah. Where my sister was so kindly taped down my
corset one day. Um, but, I mean, that's kind of the story.
we were in an alleyway
yeah
it was for one of the scenes
for witchy girls
oh we didn't even talk about your nominate
were our nominations
hey yeah
oh my god
we're cleaning up
yeah
at the Toronto web festival
we are drizzled in nominations
yeah
and we're doing some category fraud
we have
I was explaining this two last night
yeah
category fraud
Zelda has been nominated for
best
um
actor
Best leading actress in a miniseries.
And I've been nominated for best supporting actress in a mini series,
in a web series,
which hopefully we both win.
I wonder if we get a statuette.
Oh, I guess.
Another step and the staircase to the ARIA Awards.
Yes.
I want to go to the ARIA Awards so badly.
Yes.
And I've never felt that before I decided that's,
the most exciting thing.
But wouldn't it be fun?
Yes.
What are we going to wear?
Oh, something fabulous.
You keep saying that, but you haven't said anything.
Wow, and I might just wait until we're invited.
Ugh, this is your issue, waiting until you're invited.
Okay.
Can we just decide now?
Say it on three.
One, two, three.
Gown.
And this is why you're not going to make it on season five.
Octopus.
Octopus.
You should dress as an Aria award.
Oh.
No, it's the actor awards, sorry.
Oh, for the actors.
Yeah, aria is for the music anyway.
I was like, why are you trying to get it for the aria?
Sorry, sorry, actor awards, actor awards.
Oh, oh, no, we could plan the actor award once.
Because we should go even if we don't get in.
I don't think we're allowed.
No, that's what I mean.
We just go outside.
Oh.
Let's see.
Pick it.
And then we can go to Australia Zoo the next day.
And slingshot.
And we won't be welcoming in and we'll stand outside of it.
Let us in.
And the Warner Brothers movie world
Yes
We'll stand outside
I don't know the coast
That'd be good
I don't want to go to white water world
We're not going there
What I'm going to wear a rashy all day
I don't want to be in a splash zone
No
No
Okay
But do we want to go to Dream World
On the Gold Coast
I just hate the theming
Do you know what I mean
Yeah
Old West town
Piss off
What do you mean?
Wait, which one have I been to?
What was the first one you said?
Warner Brothers Movie World.
I've not been to Dream World.
I went once and I was like,
there was always such a competition back then
of like, are you going to Dream World?
Are you going to?
Which one do you want to go?
And I was like, obviously Movie World.
It has movie.
And then Dream World finally went.
They have the Tower of Terror.
And it's where they shot Big Brother.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So it had all that going for it.
So people thought it was cooler.
but Dream World, yeah, definitely had more rides.
Yeah.
But Warner Brothers had the theming and I get excited for the theming.
Yeah.
Okay, okay.
So Art Simone's jumper that she wore as Jane Turner.
I love that.
So ugly.
You can buy that.
The Fountain Lakes team had it reproduced.
What?
Yeah, they did it for merch.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
Isn't that incredible?
I will buy that.
Yeah.
What?
That's amazing.
Put it in the book.
in the book. Also, arts
Beastie Girl look, I really enjoyed.
Wait, what was that?
Just the one where it was blue, yellow and pink.
Oh, yes, the one she made with the roached front.
Yes, the rouge. That was the two
outfits smashed together. Yeah. Challenge.
The Franken drag, three and one.
Yeah, that one I really liked. But my sister, I simply
must agree with you. The outfit that she wore last night for the
lip sync. And the wig.
Oh, I think I want to get a...
Oh, yeah.
I think that's chic.
I also think, like, it's funny to go in, like, spending all this money on a package,
but then it's just, like, something happens when you're just wearing something very pure and demure that, like, is chic.
Yes, and, I mean, not over-engineered.
It's just like, yeah, this is the good look.
And it's good.
Yeah.
And that's it.
You know, it's not over-egged.
Over-egged.
What?
Yeah, are you saying?
You heard me.
Over-egged?
You heard me.
That's exactly your style, lazy.
Over-eged?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm on the other end of the scale.
But I don't, I'm not in my bodysuit, body era.
You know what I mean?
You wore a bodysuit last night.
It looked great.
Thank you.
Yes.
Wasn't fishing, but like what I caught.
I heard that on the TV last night.
And I thought, let's take it for a round.
Ryan.
Wait,
he's on the,
on the TV.
I was watching,
I was watching Traders
when I was getting ready.
Okay.
And good friend of the pod,
Reese Nicholson said that.
And I said,
ha,
ha, ha,
ha.
That's fine.
I love this season of traders.
Yeah.
Gretel Colleen is eating it up.
Kirby is amazing.
They're finally getting rid of
that awful,
not gay guy who used to be a gamer,
who's very,
like, queer-coded.
And calls everyone darling.
Oh.
Yeah, I hate him.
Okay.
I don't hate him.
Wait, who is it?
I want to look this person up right now.
Oh, what was his name?
And I'm going to instant judgment.
Lawson.
Lawson.
Lawson.
If I look up Lawson Traitors.
Yeah, I think that'll do it.
Lawson Traitors Australia.
Okay, I'm pulling up the first image right now.
I hate this person.
Yes?
Yeah.
He's got little dangly earrings, but he doesn't suck.
Oh, dangly earrings, but it doesn't suck.
Things.
PG.
Yeah.
Sorry.
A chop a chop.
A chop.
It doesn't get much more PG than that, Matt.
That's right.
Can you keep it clean?
Could you?
Matt.
God.
Oh, God.
Wait, this person, wait.
Are they ever going to listen to this?
Maybe.
I don't know what Lawson's doing.
Oh.
Yeah.
Is Lawson really your first name?
He probably couldn't hear this podcast over the jingle jangle of that dangly earring.
Oh.
That ill-gotten, stolen, valid jangly earring.
Yeah.
Wait, is Reese?
still in the game?
Yeah.
That's fine.
And Reese was turned into a trader.
Turned into?
Yeah, because if traders are taken out of the competition,
then they're allowed to, like, convert a faithful into a traitor in the dead of night.
And so they like take you to a small bridge on the property.
Yeah.
By candlelight.
Wait, like the bridge in, um, in Lothloreen?
Sure.
Okay.
And then Reese was taken there in the middle of the night and they were like,
would you like to be a traitor?
Do you get a choice?
Yeah, oh, you can send yourself home.
Your choice is to leave the competition or become a traitor.
What?
That's not really much of a choice.
Yeah, but if you want to stay like honorable.
But of course you take it.
I mean, it's for fun.
Yeah.
Although someone tell that to Kira.
She's behaving badly.
I see.
Kira Knightley is on it?
Yes.
That's crazy.
She'll do anything for any amount of money.
Yeah.
Wow.
I should watch this show
Yeah
You've got to watch the UK one
Okay
With Alan Carr Chettyman
It's really good
Alan Cumming
No
Alan Cumming is the host of the US one
Yeah
Alan Carr was on the UK one
As a competitor
Yeah
That's hilarious
As a traitor
Oh
Which is amazing
Yeah
Because Alan Carr can't lie
Who's the host of UK
What's her name?
Celia
No
Oh she's amazing
Claudia
Oh, this is the woman with those weeks.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And the dark eye shadow and long bangs.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, that's enough.
That's enough.
Pack it up.
Yeah.
What was, what section three?
Have we done it yet?
Like art and ladies.
Oh, the outfits.
Got it.
We did both of those already.
Oh, Matt, stop slowing us down.
You're slowing the show down.
You're the one who's slow today.
Matt.
Me?
Matt.
Me.
Matt.
Slowies.
Peeee.
A bunch of slowies.
A bunch of slowies.
We're actually not slowies.
Thank you.
Quickies.
Yeah.
Wait, what are you going to put in?
We told you.
Arts, your body suit.
Jibody suit.
And wig.
Jum suit.
And that glorious curly girl wig.
Yeah.
And then...
You could put in Spice Girls Lipsink outfit.
Yeah.
And then my finale outfit.
Yeah.
Depending on how it photographs.
I'll be really sad.
We'll revise it next week.
Yeah, if it looks a really jank, I'm going to kill myself.
It can't.
It's like the most standing of Luke's.
Or alternatively, KMS.
KMS.
That's what the kids say.
Oh, right, right, right, right, right.
Or unalive myself.
Yeah.
Okay, so this week in the bunker, I'd love for Matt to review it.
Who remembers?
Yeah. So we've got some sort of secret bisexual crush, the swordmaker?
The swordsman.
The swordsman.
No, whatever.
Swordsmaker.
And we've got a flaming Phoenix bird.
Costume.
Costume?
Yeah.
Not from Harry Potter.
Thank you.
For book week.
And we've also got Arts Spice Girls' lip sync outfit.
Yes.
Viva forever.
And Lazy's final episode look.
Everlasting.
Like the sun.
Live forever.
For a moment.
ever searching for the sun
Oh, for the sun.
For the one?
For the sun.
Thanks for listening, everyone.
Goodbye.
Do you still remember how it used to be?
Feeling whatever.
