DeProgram with John Kiriakou and Ted Rall - Iran to US: Timing of War and Peace Is Not Up to You | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Episode Date: July 29, 2026Conflict reporter/writer/cartoonist Ted Rall and political analyst Jamarl Thomas deprogram you from mainstream media every weekday at 9 AM ET. Today we discuss:• Iran’s foreign ministry said Iran ...would not allow Washington to determine "the timing of war and peace," as Trump claimed the Islamic Republic had requested negotiations and mediators sought to revive the collapsed interim deal. Also, the US military said worked with Saudi Arabia to kill at least 20 members of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq.• The Trump administration wants to channel asylum seekers directly into deportation proceedings. In the past, asylum seekers who entered the U.S. legally or were never charged with an immigration violation had the opportunity to apply for refuge in an office before a trained asylum officer. The officer could refer them to immigration court for removal proceedings if they were rejected, or allow them to continue proceedings and potentially get on a path to obtaining U.S. citizenship. 450,000 cases could be transferred directly to one of the Justice Department’s immigration judges. It is possible that many asylum seekers will be deported without a chance to be heard.• New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration has published a searchable online database listing the names and addresses of property owners who could be affected by the city’s new pied-à-terre tax. You're watching or listening to Deep Program with Ted Rall and Jamarral Thomas.
It's Wednesday, July 29th, 2026.
By the way, if I disappear, J.T, that's because we have serious rolling thunderstorms where I live,
and the power has been on and off.
So it doesn't mean I hate you guys.
It just means that I've died.
Well, although I may have died, but that can only happen.
It will happen at some point.
But yeah, right now, that's probably more likely.
It's just the power to the worst conclusion.
That's where I always go.
It's a fact.
It's from my childhood.
So, okay, so there's stuff going on with Iran.
The war seems to be spreading more into Iraq.
The U.S. and Saudi Arabia have both been bombing Iraq, because, you know, why not?
and Trump wants to channel people who seek asylum,
who currently have their own asylum immigration court system,
he wants to get rid of that and send close to half a million of those cases
directly to immigration courts where they may or probably will not get any hearing at all
before they're deported.
Obviously, this is going to go through the court system, the regular court system.
Last and maybe least, Zohran Mamdani, mayor of New York City,
He has published an online searchable database of all the people in New York City who possibly
will be subject to his new Pietater tax for people who own homes that are worth millions
of dollars and for whom that's their second home in New York City.
He wants to hit them up with taxes.
If you have a comment or a question, please like, follow and share the show.
But if you're watching live on YouTube or Rebel, please put your comment into the live chat.
Producer Robbie West will put that up, and we will get right to it.
And, of course, we'll talk about any news that you want to talk about.
All right, so are we, I'm trying to think, oh, Q&A show.
That's one more thing you guys need to know about.
That's at 12 noon today.
My fault, it's going to be only 30 minutes today.
So try to be on time if you're planning to check that out live.
That's 12 noon.
It's sort of an ask us anything.
You can get a question from, you can answer a question.
You can ask a question to Jamar, Robbie, and or myself.
Okay, am I leaving anything out?
I don't think, I don't think so.
What do you want to talk about first, J.T.?
Let's start with Iran or Iraq.
Well, let's say the war, the expanding war.
Right.
I'm fascinated by this.
So I was sitting there trying to figure out, okay, this is very weird.
And I don't know if the U.S. media is talking about it for strange as it is,
but it was very strange what took place last night.
In fact, when I do the show,
later today, I'm going to go further into it.
So real quick, hold of a thought, JT.
We are not live on YouTube.
I'm trying to figure out why.
Oh, right.
Well, I'm saying the thing says zero on YouTube, which is weird.
Okay, that's not good.
In fact, even the Rumble numbers are weird.
Usually those are like at 100.
Okay, let me see.
Oh, error not found connecting.
All right, let me disconnect YouTube and then reconnect YouTube.
And it'll probably just create a new stream.
For YouTube, it may.
Here we go.
It's connected to YouTube.
Robbie, can you check on that?
And if it's a new stream, can you put in the metadata and all that?
Yep, I will.
Thank you, sir.
All right.
So if you're just joining us on YouTube, we are having a few glitches this morning.
Rumble Studio didn't want to talk to YouTube.
today, but I guess they're talking now.
Steve hasn't apparently.
Still at zero.
Yeah.
Oh, we started a new stream.
That'd be.
Okay.
There we are.
I think.
I see two people in YouTube.
That could be.
Yeah.
Okay.
So good.
There it is.
Proof concept.
It's a new, it's a new stream.
Yeah.
There we are.
Proof of concept.
There it is.
There it is.
There is.
All right.
So the Iran thing is weird.
The Iran thing is strange.
I haven't necessarily heard people talk about it as odd as it is.
So you ended with a situation where Saudi Arabia gets attacked,
meaning their infrastructure gets attacked.
The oil fields are burning.
In fact, they were burning for like two or three days,
in which case they ended up shutting the largest oil fill down.
Saudi Arabia turns around and attacks Iraq.
They say Iraq hit us.
This is outrageous, and we're going to respond to it.
Now, the PM popular mobilization force said, that's not us.
We didn't do this.
Now, under normal circumstances, when the attacks are made, people own it.
Like, they were just outright saying, we did this.
Like, they want the publicity for the attack.
Well, the popular mobilization was, it's not us.
We didn't do this.
This is not us.
Saudi Arabia turns around and hits Iraq.
So Saudi Arabia and the United States run attacks all across Iraq, killing.
I think 20, wounding untold tens of how many evers.
But this is very strange.
Now, Iran responded to this by hitting a base in Jordan in response to the attacks that the U.S. made on Iraq.
The U.S. claims that Iran, quote, surprise attack them, which is outrageous, which is pretty astonishing, considering they're in a war, right?
The whole war is a sneak attack by the United States.
Yeah.
And so the turnaround to be like, Iran surprised to attack our base, but we knocked down all of the missiles.
We're sent come.
We're getting even.
We're getting even like with them.
We're having this.
This is retaliation strength.
This is, I mean, it's insane, right?
Just the language of it is insane.
That's so.
They claim that they knocked down all of the attacks or the missiles that Iran fired at the base in Jordan.
social media showed that one or two got through, even though many of them were intercepted in the sky.
All of this is very strange.
And the fact that Iraq is saying, we didn't do this, and this is an escalation, it's very weird.
It's very weird.
The only thing, my conclusion from it, and there's a weird angle to this, Ukraine has been running terror attacks all across the world.
Their forces have been caught in, apparently in India.
There was the attack on Iran in the Caspian Sea.
And apparently Iraq is saying that they caught terror suspects from Ukraine in Iraq also that owned up to the fact that they were out of Kiev.
I'm wondering is something else going on here?
Like, are we just fundamentally missing something that's an undercurrent?
Like, for example, the attack on the Iranian tanker seems to be a way for Ukraine to get to cross the wars, cross streams.
And it's something happening in India and all these other countries where Ukraine is running some kind of terror network that is trying to, let's say, fuse the wars in a way that gets America involved in both wars directly.
I don't know. There's something strange going on, though.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it could, or it could be something.
something as straightforward as just obviously the U.S. and Saudi Arabia do a lot of shit together.
This is just one of those.
This is, you know, obviously one of the after the big aftermath of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq is that Iran ended up having a lot more influence there than they ever did before Saddam Hussein was overthrown.
And so this is just like, well, you know, these are these Iranian-backed militias that were rolled into the Iranians.
rocky regular army, kind of similar to the model that we saw in, you know, in Afghanistan,
where warlords had their militias rolled into the Afghan National Army.
That worked out awesome.
But anyway, I think, yeah, I mean, this is one of those stories, like I would just like
to continue to follow, but I don't really know yet what it means.
I mean, what is clear is that everything is spreading.
I mean, God, it's like at this point, like how many countries are involved, right?
I mean, Israel, the U.S., Iran, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan.
I'm at six now.
Lebanon.
Syria, sort of.
Syria.
Iran attacked Syria also.
Yeah, Syria.
So Iraq.
So we're at eight now.
I know I'm forgetting something.
Oh, Oman is kind of peripherally involved.
because they're involved in negotiating.
The Iranians say that Oman's the only country
they're talking to about anything.
It's about figuring out how to ding,
how to charge tolls on the Strait of Hormuz.
So, oh, and the Houthis, right, Yemen, that's 11.
So the, yeah.
And then of course,
Oh, Ukraine, 12.
And Ukraine.
12 countries, right?
I mean, at this part, you know,
this is kind of World War,
2.5. Yeah, agree. I mean, what it means is that the U.S. is not getting out the war. I mean,
the reality of it is, it seems that going after the Iraqi groups is a way of trying to.
Well, it seems to be a way to mitigate Iran's influence in Iraq. Basically, the U.S. doesn't seem to be pulling out of Iran anytime soon.
It just redirected the attacks, believing that, I don't know, I guess it's going to get some kind of gains,
if they escalate, that they're worried about to populize the forces, or let's say the pro-Iranian
forces in Iraq getting more involved into the conflict. Also, you know, the Houthis things or
the Ansar al-Athing is also interesting. Closing the Red Sea puts that much more pressure on the
U.S. It also makes it clear, though, that Iran is looking at the groups in Iraq as being part
and parcel to the war. Otherwise, they wouldn't have responded. I mean, it's not like the U.S.
attacked Iran directly this time Iraq.
they attacked Iraq. Iran responded to an attack or forces in Iraq. That is wild. I mean, I guess my point is, yes, the war is expanding. And we're getting clear what seems to be fronts that are forming. Otherwise, why attack these forces in Iraq? And why would Iran respond to the fact that these forces in Iraq were attacked? Also, Antwera Allah, taking the Red Sea and going after ships in Red Sea obviously puts more pressure on the U.S. because that's no longer an
outlet. And that's not entirely true. Boats or ships seem to be taking their chances.
And like if you're looking at the shipping data, boats seem to be taking their chances with
every so often ships getting hit, which chills the other ships that are running behind it.
But no, you're right. But these don't have quite the same level of control over the,
over the Red Sea as the Iranians have over the Strait of Hormuz. I mean, the Iranian control
seems basically total.
Like if they want to hit something, they can.
That doesn't seem really to be the case with the Houthis.
I have a question for y'all.
Where does Turkey fit in all this?
It's a no-no ally.
It's increasingly an enemy of Israel.
They're concerned about the Kurds.
The U.S. is trying to get the Kurds to have an uprising in Iran.
The Turks are not going to allow that.
So if Erdogan actually has to make a choice and pick a size that straddle in the fence,
like he has wanted to do, what do y'all predict he would do?
Will he side with Israel, the U.S., or will he side with Turkey?
Because depending on how this thing goes, he's going to have to make a choice.
He has played both against the middle in a way that is unparalleled.
Like, he, God, man, he, when I say Erdogan is a snake, and he's looking out for Erdogan.
If he has to make a choice, I don't think he's going to choose the Kurds, if I'm being honest.
I mean, like, for example, when he's very transactional, right?
And usually he looks out for Turkey and Erdogan.
If it's between, I don't think he's going to be able to go back on the idea of Kurds being terrorists.
And, you know, there may be a division in the way that he deals with the U.S. on this.
Like, for example, when Trump goes and offers him, hey, we'll give you the F-35s, we'll give you what you want on this case.
Okay, he's going to accept that.
Now, what is he accepting it for?
Well, he's accepting it ideally with the idea of pushing Giulani to do something
Jalani may not necessarily want to do in regards to using the terrorists on the border of Lebanon,
or, for that matter, even an invasion of Lebanon.
The Kurds thing, though, seem maybe a bridge too far on this one.
I mean, I could be wrong on this.
It might be a bridge too far.
The U.S. may use that, but they may use it without Turkey, if that makes sense.
Meaning, if they're pushing, the reason that Iran is,
been bombing those border regions is because they've been going after what they consider to be
people that the United States may use for their own ends in regards to the quote ground force
that Donald Trump was talking about. Well, I don't know if Turkey is going to be in on that.
I don't even know if they would agree to that. But I don't think the U.S. needs Turkey's agreement
to it if that makes sense. But take, give me your take. Your take may be better.
I totally. I don't have much to add to that. I totally agree. I mean, I mean,
You know, it's hard to know what Erdogan's long game is, though.
But look, it's interesting because Turkey is both a buffer state and a major power, right?
Like, in a sense, you know, it's the center of pan-Turkism,
which has this outsized influence throughout the Middle East and Central Asia.
But on the other hand, it's also kind of, it's squeezed between Asia and Europe.
You know, it's sort of squeezed between NATO and, you know, and Putin.
And it's kind of like – and so the traditional role for a country like that is to try to – it always has to play both sides against the middle.
I mean, that's how you survive if you're a Korea or an Afghanistan or a Belgium or any place that's sort of traditionally between great powers and, you know, Pakistan, someplace like that.
So, I mean, I think this is about Turkey at a crossroads.
I mean, is it going to become India a regional superpower or a half superpower?
Or is it going to sort of fade into the dust?
And I mean, I think that the fact that the Islamist aspect of Erdogan's coalition is pushing him more towards like obscurity.
It'll be interesting to see what a post-Eyuan Turkey looks like.
I think he's a canny dude, but I think if you're looking at big picture, great power of politics, I think he's fucking up.
Really?
Yeah, yeah.
I think he should be exercising more leverage against Israel, for example.
You know, he talks a lot.
He has a good game.
But, you know, imagine, okay, game changer.
Imagine if he said, oh, I'm going to help defend Hezbollah in Lebanon against the IDF.
Or, you know, I'm going to invade Syria directly, you know, because I can't have this unstable force on my border.
Or something.
You know, make a move, bust some sort of move in favor of the Palestinians.
I mean, take some pressure off, take some pressure off Hamas or Hezbollah or Iran.
I mean, that's a play.
If I were him, I'd be thinking about that.
I'm sure it's crossed his mind.
I feel like he's being overly cautious in his old age.
I mean, Erdogan was instrumental in knocking over Syria in order to get influence.
I know, but that was a mistake.
That might have been a mistake, but he did it.
And he worked with Israel to do it, meaning he was calling then Yahoo, Hitler in one sense,
and then working with Hitler to knock over the government of Syria.
I mean, and from his point of view, he does have influence in Syria, even though the influence may be indirect.
I mean, it's very possible.
Syria has also gone, has gotten strange, right?
It used to be under the Assad's, right?
If you got, if you took Syria, you got Lebanon for free.
Now it's almost the other way around.
I mean, Syria is so weak.
Yes.
It's so fucked up under Jalani.
Which is the point.
Right.
Which was the point.
Which is not good.
Which I don't know if people like Erdogan or Netanyahu understand is not good to have along your border.
I mean, I think they're playing the gambit or the gamble that somehow Jalani can consolidate power.
And I suppose that Erdogan and Nanyahu are both looking at Syria as further, you know, ground where they can make enrols.
I mean, the reality of it is, though, is Jilani is not an actor of his own making.
Correct.
And Erdogan's influence in Syria is pretty extensive at this point.
A lot of pernicious fuckers all collecting together.
Let's do some comments.
Man Child 5000, thanks for the dollar.
Rich New Yorker problems are kind of like whatever.
How about, well, yes, but there are reasons to talk about that, and we will.
How about the wasted time and energy getting Dr. Fauci to spill his old COVID diary
bullshit. There's got to be more important matters of hand.
Well, okay, important or not, we talk about the news, whether it's important or not.
If we only talked about the important news, we'd be talking probably just about affordability
all the time, and climate change, which we do talk about.
So I was just looking, I'm sure you saw this, Fauci is testifying right now, and he's been
taking the Fifth Amendment when asked about the origins of the COVID virus.
Why is he taking it?
Like, God, man.
Makes poor choices.
He makes poor choices.
And some of the choices, I am less hostile towards him on.
Like, for example, that one of, you know, I used to have Malik on my show.
And Malik used to bring up.
Well, Fauci lied about the mass stuff.
That's true.
And it's like, it's a difficult choice.
I mean, because ultimately what they wanted Fauci to do was to trust the American public
or trust the public in general.
Because what they brought down to is this.
And it's a ethical issue, I suppose.
But it's an ethical one based on real world phenomena.
So you know, as Fauci, the moment that we'd say that this is a pandemic and everything else,
people are going to rush to get masks.
And they're going to basically deplete the mask that are in the stores and everything else.
And they're going to do it in a way that may hurt hospitals, clinics,
et cetera. So if I'm Fauci, what do I do in this moment? Do I go out and tell people truth,
or do they'll go out and tell people the mask don't matter? And obviously, Fauci came out and
made the argument that masks didn't work or masks didn't matter, only to turn tail later on and
point out that mask, do that type of stuff. Well, now that we can, now that we have masks
for you, they do matter. They do matter. Right. What do you do with that? Do you trust the public?
And do you be honest and say, take a Star Trek approach, it was like, look, the reality of it is that we need people, we need clinics and hospitals have masks.
We don't want to deplete the population and supplies, so it's okay to go get them, but please don't overindulge.
Or do you do what he did and just say, they don't matter?
He should have trusted the public.
Really?
And like for me, it's a slam dunk.
And here's why.
First of all, it's not like the United States is, you know, rationing is unprecedented in the U.S.
I mean, there was rationing during World War II.
You can go to a flea market and buy the old ration coupons from, you know, have them still.
There was gas rationing when I was a kid during the OPEC oil crisis in the 70s.
You know, people have rationed before.
I think the other thing is, man, you got nothing.
when you're like nobody'd ever heard of Anthony Fauci before and he goes he becomes the COVID czar
and you only get one chance to make a good first impression and he made the first impression he made was
he's a lying piece of shit right because he said something that made no sense whatsoever got ratted out
right away and his credibility went straight into the toilet so you know I mean and let's face it it never came back for
many, many Americans, right?
So,
came back to me. Yeah, I mean,
you know, even the origins, like
him lying about the origins.
Yeah. Yes, he's, I mean, and so
now here he is like saying, well, I'm not going to
you know, I mean, and he
claims that he still now believes
it came from the wet market. I, I guess
we're back to the bat and the bang, and the
Pangolin theory. Although
the intelligence community for whatever
it's worth has concluded that it
was, you know, actually escaped accidentally
from the lab in Wuhan, China, right?
I mean, look, it's not like the Chinese were being nefarious if that's what happened.
It's just a fucking accident, and it could have happened anywhere, and nobody suffered more than the Chinese, right?
So, you know, we were big idiots in this whole thing.
Every way we handled it, like blaming China, refusing to let our scientists cooperate with Chinese scientists who had the on-the-ground information that our guys needed.
So, and then, you know, this whole thing with the masks, I mean, it's a fucking embarrassment that, you know, as soon as this happened, we didn't have warehouses like in the last scene of Indiana Jones full of masks that just ended up on people's doorsteps delivered by mail for free the next day, right? That's how this all should have played out. I mean, and it's not like it wasn't predicted. I mean, yeah, this happened 100 years ago. But also, George W. Bush, hardly a super genius. He committed.
commissioned a pandemic, you know, a pandemic awareness commission that put out a report in the closing days of Bush's presidency.
Bush told Obama, listen, this is really fucking important. It's going to happen. We should be prepared.
Neither Obama nor Trump did dick. And so, I mean, it's, I mean, I don't know. Like, yeah, no, Fauci, absolutely. It is, it is the Star Trek. I mean, you know what is. It's the aliens thing.
Do we trust the American people with the truth about aliens?
Well, clearly, not only can the American people be trusted with the truth about aliens,
they don't seem too much care.
Not yet.
But I think, honestly, they could have just been, I mean, I think people pulled together.
Look at how New Yorkers pulled together after 9-11.
If everybody kind of just understands, listen, we fucked up, we don't have enough masks.
We're going to go into hyper-production mode.
But right now we need them first and foremost.
for our first responders and medical personnel, please don't, it'll be literally anti-American
for you to go out and buy Amazon and N95 masks. And by the way, if only you could tell Jeff
Bezos not to allow that, right? I mean, there's a way to do that. There was rationing.
And look, you know, we didn't, I mean, we didn't do anything about like trying to, you know,
prevent these scarcities from happening. Out in the Hamptons where I lived,
There was this notorious story.
This woman went to Cinerrella,
which is the local big grocery store in East Hampton,
and she bought every single piece of meat in the store and left.
And she stopped by PC Richards, the hardware,
the home appliance place,
and pick up a bunch of giant freezers to put them all in
and basically took all of the meat from all of the Hamptons,
all for her own fat, gross, highly proteined cell.
And like, I talked to the store manager after this happens.
And he goes, looks at me with this big, dumb moo cow look like, oh, what are you going to do?
I'm like, you're the store manager, right?
And he goes, yeah.
I go, so why do you let her?
Well, she had the money.
I go, well, she had the money when you cut off your own dick and, and swallow it.
I mean, you look at his thing wasn't for sale.
You could have just said, no.
Like, no, you can't do that.
other people need this lady no but it's not about you know this probably better than i do the
capitalistic system is not about what people need it's about what you can sell right but in a
national emergency that's where socialism shines speaking of speaking of selling uh we have hit a new
milestone we are number one on rumble in politics right now we are number fucking one wow
This little show right here on Rumble.
For y'all watching, seriously, thank y'all.
This is huge.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for that news, Robbie.
It's a privilege.
It's a privilege to do this with you tomorrow.
And, you know, even at peak Kriaku hype,
we never got past, I believe, number eight.
So.
Seriously.
Yeah, maybe number six, maybe.
So, yeah.
Well, it's enough.
All right.
Well, thank you, Rumble.
And, of course, most importantly,
thank you to the Rumblers for tuning in.
And of course, we love you guys on YouTube too.
And sorry, you guys had some trouble reaching us this morning.
But I think that's all fixed now.
I posted the revised link on socials.
So that should be out and about.
Okay, so let's do some more comments here.
Farjajas, the U.S. and South Africa attacking the high holy city of Karbala that's in Iraq during these religious days is a bridge too far.
It is.
Agreed.
Yeah, it is.
Oh, and by the way, I agree with you about the Fouchy thing.
They should have just, you should have been honest with the American public on that.
I agree.
I would have also, what are the chances of this lie working?
It didn't work, right?
So that's the thing, right?
You have to weigh, like, you're putting, your credibility hangs in the balance.
And then, you know, on top of that, you're not, for a lie that's not even going to fly?
Yeah.
No, I agree.
To me, it was really easy to sit, an easy call, and they made the wrong.
one. Oh, I don't know, but easy a call.
Maybe that says something about me.
Maybe.
But I do agree with you.
Yeah.
The artworks 88.
We wanted cheap gas and mass deportations, and all we got was another stupid war.
Well, we're probably going to get some mass deportations.
Anna Mandarake, how is that, Israel is the aircraft, is the aircraft carrier, Israel is the
attack dog nonsense going, Jamaral.
How long has it been since Iran attacked Israel?
What do you mean? I don't understand the reference.
Yeah, so basically, Israel is our dog, I guess, is the argument, you know,
and problems have been since Iran attacked Israel.
Right. And the U.S. has effectively isolated Israel from attacks, meaning you haven't seen
any more attacks from Israel on Iran either.
True.
It's just been backed out of the war, the fight.
Yeah, yeah, that's, that's right.
I mean, I get why the Israelis aren't attacking Iran.
I don't really understand why the Iranians are not attacking Israel.
Israel, yeah.
I guess from their point of view, they don't necessarily want to have both being under attack,
meaning they want to focus their concerns on what they consider to be the main issue.
And what that is is basically destroying U.S. assets in the region.
I mean, at some point, if you remember, many of the attacks that were taken place from Iran to Israel,
was being blocked by all of these Middle East states, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, etc., intercepting
the stuff that is coming from Iran.
Well, at this point, those assets are being degraded and destroyed.
If indeed it comes to a point where Iran starts attacking Israel, where they're going to be
very, let's say, much less assets in the region that's going to be able to defend Israel
from those attacks.
So, you know, if you're looking at it, the U.S. has been bringing its forces from various other
countries that were being hit in those countries and been hunting.
Husbanding, husband, husband, is that right?
Husbandering.
Okay, they've been putting those forces in Israel itself.
If any attacks from Iran are being leveled at Israel,
that's going to be hitting a line of American assets.
Yeah.
Up of hitting Israeli assets.
I mean, look, just because they haven't necessarily had direct conflict recently,
doesn't necessarily mean that this stuff is still not related to Israel.
Totally. True.
Okay, so let's see.
If you so, thanks for the dono.
we must be afraid of the Islamo-Kami furry trans conspiracy.
Trump is in on it.
You know, I'm glad that if you so, I'm assuming he's a he, if I'm wrong, I apologize,
brought this up because, you know, this is one of the big talking points for the right,
is that the left is in bed with radical Islam.
Now, the thing is radical Islam is an enemy of the left, right?
Whenever radical Islam is in power anywhere, they round up socialists and commies and send them to camps or just execute them.
They are, the ideology couldn't be more different.
I mean, first of all, they're religious zealots.
People on the left usually are radically secular and anti-religious.
I mean, there's maybe some, I don't know, that's a, if that Venn diagram is very, doesn't have a lot of overlap.
And I don't understand why it flies other than just sort of, you know, it's sort of like Christopher Hedges, Islamo-fascism or whatever.
You know, Islam is its own thing.
And yet there's always this effort in the American political debate space to merge it with, you know, stuff that already exists.
You know, like this is, I don't know, it's the cannabis Islamic, you know,
like what?
It makes no fucking sense
if you think about it even half a second
and yet they persist.
I mean, it must
focus group decently, I would think.
Well, they're trying to,
I think,
I think what they're doing is taking the fact
that the left says,
hey, we don't like the fact that Israel's
making a genocide with
Hamas and the left
are one to one.
I think they're somehow making that weird
transition. It's like, well, if you don't like genocide, then you're obviously pro-Islamo-fascist.
It's like, what? What do you get that from? Like, meaning us not necessarily wanting kids and
women murdered, it's not necessarily the same thing as being attached to any particular
religious denomination. It's just weird. It's not that. As a creature of the right, I can tell you
what it is, because, well, I think it's a lot of it has to do with the human condition. If you bring in a lot of
people whose culture and religion and language is completely foreign from yours. And it's just a big
wave. It's not just a drip. You're going to have, you're going to have that pushback from
from the native population saying that why these people here? These people are odd. They're different.
And then what will happen is that the left will try and say, well, you're being xenophobic.
You're punching down. You're not being welcoming to the other, which is true because, well,
that's usually how these things kind of play out.
That's why the
establishment is able to kind of go in and push us in.
I've been called an Islamist supporter myself as a fundamentalist
Christian, which is insane.
Mondani should not, for example, my opinion,
Mandani should not go to the 9-11 Memorial.
He shouldn't be there. They don't want them there. He shouldn't go there.
But because I say that we shouldn't be genociding, you know,
people in Gaza, I get called an Islamist.
But to answer your question, that's how they're able to do this.
If you question whether it's a good idea to import a crap ton of people who do not share your beliefs, your history, your culture, and historically actually been an enemy of your civilization, then the reaction of the rainbow flag carrying a note left, it's like, hey, you're being hateful.
That's where the connection comes from.
that makes sense if that's i mean if that's true then that's all sorts of groups of course this
like that that would be um Hispanics so they'd be Catholics but they don't do the um the
commune communist catholic coalition they don't do that oh they're working on it's i mean they're
working not like under the last pope i mean he's called the first commie pope and all this other stuff
I mean, no, I mean, that's the, that's the rights version of identity politics.
You know, me, I look at things from a historical lens and then from a class and economics lens.
Whereas Republicans, they'll just say, you got to be afraid of these people because they're different.
And then the DNC is just like, look at these racist white people over here.
They're being xenophobic and racist.
And that's how they're trying to, that's how they're playing the different classes against each other.
It gets the benefit of their own combination.
interests. It's just identity politics by another means. That makes sense? No, I get it. I mean,
it is identity politics, but Donald Trump's the worst kind of pain. It's identity politics.
I mean, but that's how you wrap up Islamo communism. It's so it's retarded, but that's seriously,
that's that's where it comes from, at least on the right. Yeah, but it's Catholic communism.
Like, I know you said the Pope and they call the Catholic. Communism makes more sense.
Well, you got to remember, I mean, you know, the United States is less religious now than it's ever been in this history.
Like when John Kennedy was elected president, the concern was because he was a practicing Catholic was that he would take his orders from the Pope because the Pope is the vicar of Christ.
Well, then, again, that kind of goes back to authority.
Who has to higher jurisdiction, God or the State.
If you're a Catholic president and you believe that the Pope literally is the mouthpiece of Christ, if he tells you to do something, you kind of sort of
I got to do it. I mean, that's where that comes from. Unless the church has a military.
Well, they've got their Swiss guards with their cute uniforms. Thanks for the $10, the dead
meme club. Do you all know anyone who got drafted back in the day during the Vietnam War?
If so, what was it like to them? I have a feeling I will have many friends who have to go fight
for Zionists. Yeah, I know one friend of mine,
guy named Carol, we used to play chess in the barbershop.
And he said he initially went into the draft board saying he wants to be drafted
and he wants to fight in the military.
And I forgot why.
There was some reason that he did this.
And then after well, he was like, f that.
He had not to be drafted.
He was arrested.
And then they put him into Vietnam after they put him out of June.
If you're willing to go to the draft board, it's better to just enlist back then.
And like, you know, it would maybe suck a little less.
Maybe they'd send you to Mannheim.
Maybe you could become, you know, Radar O'Reilly's, the supply clerk in West Germany.
But, yeah, no, I knew.
I mean, when I was a kid, the draft was still going on.
And obviously, I was way too young.
But I remember asking my mom when I was like nine, am I, you know, my mom,
am I going to have to go to the war?
And she's like, yeah, probably.
And I said, how long has this been going, war been going on?
She said, oh, since before you were born.
I'm like, what?
And then she, because of course, she was French.
So for her, it was definitely going on for a long time.
And she said, and I was like, oh, well, I have to go.
And she always, she's like, yeah, you'll have to go.
I'm like, what?
I could die.
She's like, yeah, that could happen.
And then, like, years later, she's like, oh, I would have totally sent you to Canada.
I'm like, you lie, bitch.
That's totally not what you said at the time.
And I was paralyzed.
I had a friend who lived up the street from me.
This was the weirdest thing for me.
He was, he turned 18, and then he vanished.
And I was like, everyone's like, hey, what happened to him?
What happened to Mark?
And it's like, mm-hmm.
And then, like, I went to the post office to mail a letter for my mom.
And I see an FBI wanted poster for little old Mark on the bullet board.
He was, you know, because they used to, you were a wanted man.
by the FBI if you were a draft dodger.
Right.
Like you were up there next to, you know,
people who were, you know, in the SLA and stuff and Robben,
so they, I was like, but Mark, I hope they don't catch him.
Anyway, he went to Canada and he never came back.
He, after the, after the amnesty, that was it.
But, you know.
I don't blame him.
I don't blame him.
I mean, he's on the land, like you're running from the law.
I mean, and it was wild, Carl, I think they enlisted before the war started.
And then when the war started, they were like, F this, we're out.
And at that point, they went in to try to explain to the enlistment officer, like, look, we just, in fact, both of them, it was Carl and another guy who did this, and they were trying to get their story straight.
And apparently, the first guy went in, he was just like, we're scared, we didn't want to fight, et cetera.
So when Carol went in, he was screwed.
Like, you have to play, like bone spurs or like, oh, man, you know, I am so gay, man, penises, can't get enough of them.
I just want to slurping this up.
I can't wait to get over there so I can fuck all the guys in my platoon.
Right.
I don't want to fuck a Vietnamese man too.
Yeah.
All the guys, I'm so gay.
Return the whole army gay.
Then they might go down.
They went with the whole thing.
We were scared.
We're scared.
In which case, they shipped directly to Vietnam.
Yeah, being scared.
I mean, they were like, they didn't care about that at all.
They were like all the more reason to send you off to be to the meat grinder for nothing.
of fucking stupidity.
But now I remember they had these,
I'm going to look these up on YouTube.
I bet they still exist.
But they had these crazy black and white live broadcasts
at an age when colored TV had become the norm.
And these dudes with old-fashioned, like skinny lapel, skinny ties, buzz haircuts.
They had a tumbler like it was the lottery drawing.
But it was like a Shirley Jackson type lottery.
And then they would draw.
And if memory serves, and I could be wrong.
about this. They had that they were okay we are now drawing from people born in
1955 and so if you were born in 1955 and there was like a I don't know if they
had the piece of paper had like January 14th or if it said like 14 and that meant
the 14th day of the year but whatever they pulled out and they'd be like we need two
do birthdays this time so you know and then they would post them like you were born
on one of these two days you have 30 days to report to your selective service office
It was the most terrifying thing.
And then at the same time, like on the evening news,
they used to give the death count, the official death count,
which was always a lie, you know, right at the same time as the stock market report.
So they'd literally be like, today down Joe's industrial average,
down 14 points in light trading in Vietnam, 14 North Vietnamese dead and two Americans.
It was like that.
that's amazing
that's amazing
that is just
Jesus
and I may we never return to that
we're we've gone too far as it is
okay
digital design
and innovation
I don't get some of these takes from Ted
it happens like once a week
where he takes a fringe position
and JT is too polite to get him
to shut up about it
what's the French position
yeah can you specify
which one you're talking
talking about here? I know exactly which fringe position. It's about Israel. Is the United States
Israel's attack dog or is Israel America's attack dog? I didn't take it a position today.
Yeah, he didn't take a take on that one. I just passed on the question. Yeah, that's what it rolled
right on through. I don't know. Oh, man. Okay. I mean, I'm sure. I'm sure. You can take a position on
this. I mean, tell me if I'm being too polite, I want to know. Just for the record on that,
If that's the issue, I agree with J.T. We've talked about it before. Totally. I mean, I think you disagree, Robbie. But I think the U.S. runs this relationship and the U.S. can end it anytime it wants. And it's the U.S. is the boss here.
How many U.S. military veterans are India's really Knesset and wearing American uniforms in the halls of power in Jerusalem? The answer is none.
Here we have Brian Mast.
I mean, it's only nine million people, though. I mean, it's only nine million people.
That's what makes it more insulting.
Well, it is also.
It's sort of like there's a Scott, okay, but, okay,
think about Scotland and England, right?
Clearly, England is the, the U.K. is the boss, right?
And there's a Scottish regiment in the British military,
where they all wear their kilts and shit, right?
And they play bad vibes and blah, blah, blah.
And they're all like the janitor character in the Simpsons, right?
Like, they're that guy.
But how many regiments are there,
in the Scottish army of British, you know, of, you know, traditionally English dudes.
None because the boss is, you know, the boss has, like, you know,
the boss has people from the empire.
Okay, digital design, he, he's correct on me.
So it was about the masks.
He said that, is that he made it out to be a conspiracy instead of just a bad choice.
about Fauci and the masks.
Oh.
Well, it was kind of a conspiracy.
Yeah.
Oh, you don't think it was a conspiracy.
No, I think it was a conspiracy.
Yeah, I mean, it's well, it's, I mean, they admitted it, right?
Basically, in the corridors of power, they realized there were not going to be enough masks.
They wanted first responders to get them.
And they were two approaches.
They could either ask everyone to be nice and not be a pig and use masks that were needed.
by first responders, or they could lie to the public and say, oh, yeah, you know, masks aren't that
important and they don't really do much. So, you know, don't even bother. And they decided to
that's what they did. I mean, and they even knew it. That's not a fringe position. That's a mainstream
like New York Times, you know, it is literally a post position. That's a CNN position.
I mean, in my opinion, Fauci should have been arrested for murder and executed because he is
responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of American people. He knowingly lied to the American
people. I'm Team 10 on this. He should have came out and said, okay, I'm going to give you the cold
heart facts of life. Here it is. And just lay out the cards. Yeah, the American people aren't
that scummy. I think most people were self-policing. I mean, if we'd got, if we'd, if that word had
gone out, nine out of ten people would have been like, you know, anything from my.
country and then there's always the pig and if you saw the pig at the store people
be like hey what the fuck are you doing the store itself would have just said we are only
going to sell one to each customer yeah or the store would have been like I'm sorry can I see
your ID that shows that you're a first responder yeah I mean like meaning there were many ways to
do it Foucher pick the worst that's just why yeah yeah and hope we don't get caught which you
guys always get caught I guess the question question is if it happens
And again, do you think they would do something different?
Oh, God.
Such a good question.
No.
I don't think they would either.
I think the incentive is what's the most effective course of action in the moment.
And it's hard to kind of, it's kind of hard to see it on the other side of that, if that makes sense.
Like, meaning when you're in a position of power, I think those decisions are more difficult than us talking about it currently.
Well, I think, honestly, the biggest fucking problem we have with,
our political leadership is that none of them know anything about precedent or history.
And so, like, I mean, if you think about the gold standard in crisis management is the way
that Tylenol responded to the tampering, you know, incidents in the, I believe this was in the
70s. It could have been the 80s.
I was 80s.
Okay, so it would have been the 80s, early 80s.
Anyway, the point is they had a choice of how to handle it.
the way they decided to do it.
They didn't try to slough off responsibility and say,
hey, it's not our fault, which it wasn't their fault.
But they could have absolutely said that, but they were like, look,
we're just going to focus on, we're going to tell you everything we know,
and we're going to tell you what we're doing about it.
We're going to recall the entire thing.
We're going to eat a big, like, fat, like financial loss.
We care, all we care about is American staying healthy,
and we'll keep you posted.
And they did.
and things went slowly and they were like, we're sorry, we're having, I mean, the point is they kept everyone informed.
And Tylenol's brand, obviously, became a trusted brand again.
Yes.
I don't think, you know, if I were Fauci, I don't think he thought about that.
I don't think he thought about, like, you know, transparency is the way to go here.
That's what, you know, people, that's what people want.
It might be what people want, but what people want and how people behave might be very different things.
Well, there's always going to be pigs.
I mean, if you're in legal, right.
And let's be honest, the idea that, look, I think some of this stuff is imperial point of view.
And what I mean by that is, it is very difficult for the U.S. to kind of just admit we don't have enough of X.
We can't do Y.
We can't, you know, like meaning we have limits.
And by, if I would have came out and says, look, we're like any other country,
where people like anybody else, we're not exceptional.
and pursuant to such, we have limits.
Meaning, it's kind of, I don't know if you've watched a movie,
whereas like they put on glasses and you would see the truth of things.
They live.
Yeah, they live.
It's that, like what you communicate to people is not entirely exactly what people get,
to get, to get from the communication that you give.
Hey, could you please not just use these things because first responders need them more,
so let's don't be pigs effectively okay well that means by definition that you have
lack of you don't have enough of something you're missing something i don't know i get the sense
that they're working on a different logic set than we are yeah but they're not making the right call
i mean true you know um even for themselves their logic set is off this is the whole macdemeanor
thing rational rationality is not always rational and it's like well if you're like well if you're
looking at it from a certain point of view, then no, it's not. Right? Right. But my definition,
that means it's not rational. I don't think, yeah, I mean, I think we, as we were talking about,
like, you know, he didn't, McNamara didn't, wasn't rational. You know, he think, he thought he was
rational. I mean, we all think we're rational, right? I mean, the guy, the homeless guy
punching at the air in the street thinks he's rational. He doesn't know better. I mean,
it's a funny thing about sanity. Okay, a couple more things than we got a couple stories to talk about
here. John D. Cackelfeller is correct here. The masks were useless for the average person,
especially in 95s. You really need to be fit tested for an N95 to work. And I think it's supposed to be
tied on by someone else, right, who knows what they're doing. They're supposed to be behind you.
Like you see, you know, doctors and nurses helping each other. I mean, we didn't know what the
fuck we were doing when we did get N95s. And if there's even a little gap, it's useless.
Yeah. Some people were using, I mean, some,
some of it was even more ridiculous. They would use like bandanas and they were like
when the chairs wrapped across my face. I had the bandana. Yeah. Yeah. It's like not too
And like the cloth ones that were like had corporate logos and stuff on them. I have a
Ramon mask somewhere in a drawer. I do when I was traveling I think I had like two different masks
and I was um because I was freaked out about getting COVID like I was me too. I was a maniac
on the COVID stuff my audience hated me even that. I was a maniac too. Uh,
And we can get into all that another time.
Also, Frazmataz, question for both of us.
Why is Trump so nice to Fauci?
Fauci, the Rat King, killed Roy Cohn with A-Z-T.
Is Trump grateful for his handler getting aced-a-Z-Ted?
I mean, it's true that Fauci has been around a long time.
Also, what we never talk about is Fauci's, you know, investments in the medical industry, right?
I mean, these are very rich man.
And it's, I mean, this is a major conflict of interest.
He's like a Dr. Pat Sun Xiang type.
He's a he's an entrepreneur.
He's not just like a kindly country doctor trying to like do his best and figure out what's going on.
I mean, he's a big businessman.
Yeah, he is.
I mean, Fauci is, he's becoming a very controversial figure.
Yeah.
I mean, let alone aid stuff.
Oh, God, the aid stuff is terrible too.
Yeah.
Although, I mean, my take.
I mean, I don't know. I don't know enough about AZT. I just remember that it cost a fortune and barely worked. But it was that transition to where today we have PrEP, which is truly a godsend. You know, but. Okay. So, all right, quickly, let's dispose of this Mamdani story. So, Mamdani basically is still trying to push for this pietater tax. Governor Hokel, without whom he can do nothing.
Now says that she's open to this idea, right?
So that means it's got momentum.
And as part of this, one of the city departments just posted a public database.
You can look up people like Cynthia Nixon and see where their home is or more accurately,
where their pieter is.
A pieter is placed, is your secondary residence in a city.
I don't even know why.
If I were a billionaire, I wouldn't want a pita ter.
I just want to stay in hotels every time I visited somewhere.
I don't need to have my old second set of sweatshirts, you know, waiting around for six months for me to happen to roll into down.
I can bring my clothes with me in a bag.
I don't understand.
You can't be in one place at one time.
Like hotels are wonderful.
Why not just stay at a beautiful hotel for like a fraction of the money that you'd pay for a shitty second apartment?
But anyway, the point is, rich people are different.
All the people I know of homes are like, they're terrified.
Oh, someone's breaking in or what if a pipe is breaking and I'm not there?
I mean, it's a headache.
But, all right, anyway, the point is there's this search.
And the reason I brought up the story is because, look, I don't give a shit about the privacy rights of rich people.
But I thought, I mean, they're complaining they're being doxed and something bad could happen to them.
And God forbid something should happen to a rich person.
But that said, don't we all deserve that same right not to have?
the government publicize our data.
Like, it sucks that you can find where people live
and their phone numbers on these databases,
all these companies that sell this shit,
public data online.
That shit should be illegal.
Like, it's like basically, like,
it's a boon for stalkers and abusive husbands.
Like, it should just stop.
You had me fallen out laughing about the searchable databases.
Like, I don't give a shit about their privacy rights.
I don't think we're,
people are different than everybody else. I think any random person who is given a billion dollars
behaves in very similar ways. I just think they do. I don't think they're special. I don't think
they're different. I think they behave differently because of the money, not because anything else.
Meaning there's nothing else in this process other than you have more money and you're a person.
Go have fun. What do you do with the money, right? I got to be honest, if I had a billion dollars,
I wouldn't mind a villa in Portugal.
That's a second hole.
Like on any random day, I can take my helicopter and go to Portugal to hang out.
So I get why they may want to have a different address apartment,
but that is secondary to the point of whether or not they should be taxed for it.
God bless him.
Mbani go out, go forth and be fruitful and, you know, do what you got to do.
I do think on some level he is trying to assert dominance.
Yeah, interestingly. That's what this is about. This is about the power structure. I'm not afraid of you.
I'm not afraid of you. Hell, we're going to tax you. We're going to tax your second villa. And then
how do you argue against it? It's very difficult to argue against it. It's like, wait a minute,
you're taxing my second villa. What do you mean? It's like, I only have two.
Yeah, I might have to fire my matri d. Yeah, what am I going to do with that? Like,
you're asking me to not have two places. Huh.
of God would allow such a tragedy to occur.
Yeah.
I do think that to majority of people who are basically just living paycheck to paycheck.
All I could say is I want privacy rights for everyone and I want the rich people taxed to death.
Yeah.
Okay.
Except for the fact that that money's all going to like, you know, kill brown people in Israel, I mean in Palestine and stuff.
So that I'm not into.
The Zola Rosa thinks for the $5.
Did the U.S. run out of weapons?
Amen to that.
They did. Thanks for bringing up. Yeah, they're running out of weapons, right? I mean, that shit is hilarious. I mean, the military industrial complex is not only evil, but incompetent.
I mean, but they didn't, they weren't plan long-term wars. They were planning like going after terrorists and caves. Not like long wars of a metric warfare.
Yeah. Speaking of that, did you see, I dropped a link out if y'all saw it or not. The Houthi is, I'll keep.
taking around charging a toll at the streets of Babel-Mandem.
I saw that.
I saw that.
They're feeling themselves a little too much right now.
A little bit.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, like they're trying to hone in on the Iranians' glory.
It's like, yeah, I mean, you know.
It's like, there's always a, also.
There's always that pipsqueak who wants to like, who needs more attention, right?
Yeah.
I mean, listen, the small is got paid a bribe to let ships go through without getting
attacked by pirates.
The Houthis is a little bit more sophisticated than that.
Well, there's that.
Yeah, they're not sandal wearing pirates like the Somalis.
Like, these are, I mean, they're launching ballistic missiles and drones.
I'm putting Robbie back in whether he likes it or not.
Deportations.
So what do you think about this Trump plan to not allow political and other asylum seekers
access to a hearing and just deport them anyway?
Well, deportation law is pretty clear.
to the first safe country that you're able to go to once you're leaving, you know, the war zone
of it is that you're in. Like, you don't get to just keep on going to you find the country that
you want that. That's a feature of international law that U.S. has signed on to.
If you're trying to flee Venezuela, then Mexico arguably is, uh, or Colombia is the first safe
countries you're able to go to or Panama. Like, you'll just keep coming to you get to the welfare
state of your choice. That's the hell winner. That's not how.
refugee law works.
So I take it you're okay with this.
I can't say I'm surprised, but.
Yes, send them all home.
But I think everybody deserves a hearing.
That's all I got to say.
And it's not the American way.
Great. Let me be the judge.
Oh, I think you, I think you could be.
You could just call Trump and I think they would make you a judge.
You might not be hard enough on illegal immigrants, though.
And Manch, Manchelt, I do not hate migrants.
I don't hate migrants.
I don't know why people you should say, Robin,
You just hates these people.
Are you?
Do you hear you?
It's like, I don't know why people think that.
Do you hear you?
No, listen, I am.
Like, have you ever played these takes back?
Of course I have.
No, I edit the videos.
Where do you think they're getting it from, Rob?
