I think it was more of a distraction you were thinking about, right, Nick?
Did you say no?
He had red hair.
Back me up, right?
This is going to be an easy fight.
Shit!
Well, now that you mention it!
Oh, no, I'm just spotting you as you joan.
I wouldn't even know where to start.
Yes, I think so.
Fire Giants aren't really.
And we're here, and we're here.
I'll come with you.
Sorry, buddy.
I just wanted to pitch just a little bit.
Look, look at this.
There wasn't anything here.
There wasn't anything.
now they're except this.
This is not a good place.
Welcome back to Dyshame.
This is Season 2, Episode 149, Into the Fire.
MVP this week is Zyke 87, who is on episode 50 of season 2 and said,
they don't really have a question, but every time they hear us talk about.
about pork cullis, they keep waiting for us to say pork cutlet. So here you go,
Zeke or Zeke, pork cutlet.
Pork cutlet. All right, shall we do this?
Yeah, let's play some D&D.
Woo!
Deep under the mountain of Iron Slag.
Reds Rovers infiltrates the bowels of the full.
fire giant dungeon. Together the party creeps across the vast forge chamber, a pool of molten iron
between you and a fire giant in an adjacent chamber. He's got his back to you. You can only see
that he's like doing something. He hasn't seen you yet, but you've spotted a fire giant here.
You could tell Wittit had been looking to like start floating up and like veering over to like,
let me just look down that hallway.
And when you read had specifically been like,
we should stay extra quiet moving this way.
That's the only reason we did settle down
and sort of like hovered just an inch off the ground next to you all.
As soon as the Giants there,
he's huddling with the rest of you.
Like, oh, uh, oh, uh, oh, uh, did, uh, did Rosie to have company?
Yeah, let's stay quiet.
I think our back is to the sky.
We're 250 feet away.
We have passed without trace.
I think we continue laying low and moving along the farthest wall.
Stay low, keep moving.
Agreed.
I agree.
As you flit between these huge pieces of equipment, these big smelters, taking cover where you can,
the fire giant sort of turns halfway towards you still doesn't seem to be noticing you.
And you see, he's got this big fucking clipboard in his hand.
And he's like doing sums on it or like tallying something.
And he's like looking at the wall and looking.
back down at the clipboard.
Wait, he's looking at the wall like there's a clock there?
No.
Oh, I thought what you mean.
Look like he's looking at that clock.
No, he's looking at something on the wall that you can't see.
Oh, how funny would it be, though?
It's like a sundial.
He's like, oh, I wish I could join the party, but I have to stay here looking at my clipboard
while all my friends are eating yak folk.
This sucks.
Yeah, and as you pass by this room, he, he,
diminishes from your view
and you continue creeping.
Doran, after seeing that sort of looks
at the others and I think we're all thinking
the same thing gives knowing looks to keep an
eye out in the other rooms, especially the one
coming out. Knowing looks
indeed. Knowing glances.
As you would expect
in a giant's
forge such as this, there
seem to be huge tables
where swords are being
prepared in
molds.
Cast swords
Much like
All weapons are made
I do love that it's four swords
And he had a clipboard like one
Two
I lost
God this is going to take all night
I hope they cast
All of their weapons
This is going to be an easy fight
That's right
As Red is passing
These forges
That are smelting the fallen
Iron
this is what's being fed by the iron slag carts from above?
Correct.
Okay.
Yeah.
But there's no active iron slag being dropped into them.
No.
So the smelters, although they are hot, they're not actively pouring out more molten iron right now.
It's just like a pool, a hot pool.
Put it this way.
The knives on the map are like red and glowing as if they're currently being poured.
They're not.
right now.
The knives?
The giant knives.
Oh, this is cutlery.
Oh, this?
That's why.
These 15 foot long blades?
This is another huge misconception.
And I hate to be the, you know, but they should expect people playing D&D to be looking
into a little bit of blacksmithing, you know.
I mean, slag is just the leftover waste from the iron.
It's what you scoop off the top before the molten metal pours out of the bottom.
Right.
So the slag is elsewhere.
You're reading Wikipedia.
you freaking liar.
Yeah.
But I already knew that.
I just wanted to double check with us.
I just went slag.
That's, that's...
The ore goes in the smelters here.
I hate to break it to you, Alex, but also fire giants aren't real.
Wait, it is actually going to explain how this all works, and it makes complete sense magically.
He explains fire giants actually rely on their stores being forged through the very magic of aura farming.
The more badass you are about it, just objectively the better, the quality of the
medal as a result and so the greatest fire giant weapon of legend was said to be just a dude
got angry one day picked up some bolted metal and threw it on the wall and it just turned
into the greatest sword it's just vibes makes perfect sense to me the science of vibes you guys look
over and the fire giant's just looking at all of you like what these guys i mean back me up right
he nods yeah yeah well seems to make more sense than what i was saying
should we just proceed yes in the same way kind of darting between these smelters taking
cover past the third one up to the door yeah that says yeah i'm going to carry forward your
stealth checks from before because nothing exciting has happened in between if you guys were like
i'm going to sing a song then there'd be like a new stealth check well now that you mention it
when they get to the door tamil might turn back to doran and say doran you have blacksmithing
knowledge you come from a line of of you know excellent blacksmiths and weapon smiths yes what's
What's the best way to gum up the works of a forge?
No.
Did you say no?
Yeah, I said, oh.
That would be so.
Can you imagine? No.
Nope.
And why haven't you said anything about the way they've been blacksmithing?
It's so wrong.
Well, I suppose there's a couple different ways.
You can get the alloys and the metal wrong, and it completely ruins the batch.
You can lose your heat, and that'll completely slow you down until you're able to.
to get it back up.
Are there ways to ruin the equipment, the smelters, or some other thing?
Something that would cause a distraction or...
Best way to do that would be to somehow quench the fire that's heating all of this.
And Doran sort of looks around and throws his hands up in the air and is,
I wouldn't even know where to start how to, you know, if I'm blacksmithing and my fire goes out,
I'm pretty much done until I can get it going.
And that's all I'm saying.
how do you how do you end the heat in this place but as you pass by the third and final room off to the east
again you see there is no blacksmithing happening at these blacksmith stations these rooms
are where the molten iron is leading and there are places where swords would be made there are
anvils here but there are no smiths at these smithing stations just one bean counter off in the
south i think it was more of a distraction you were thinking about right nick yeah you know like
starting a fire except not a fire because they're fire giants but you know causing some sort
of plausible destruction in your workshop to draw people out i love this like juvenile
pitch of like the five of us being like
yes start of fire stuff run run run
run like there's like a tiny little
insignificant fire in the corner of like
a little bugs surrounding yeah
Tamil will walk up to the double doors
to the north and she'll do the same thing
with the kind of
listening at the door trying to peer under
maybe it won't work this time but you got
to give it a shot
yeah roll perception
19
there are some very far off
maybe sounds of
talking or clattering.
It's hard to tell, but probably not
like in the next room, like maybe the room after
the room after that. Yeah. But so it's not like
dead silent, but it's also there's nothing
happening directly on the other side of this door.
The nature of the chatter that I can hear though,
plausibly a group of people feasting, group of giants feasting.
Not like the base,
booming of a
fire giant voice. Actually, it's more
trouble. I can hear voices, but I don't think they're giants.
Bizarre.
All right. Reggie, and Red looks directly at Widdid's arm,
and he kind of puts his hands on his knees.
Reggie, when you scouted ahead, did you see what was on the other side of this door?
No, I don't think we got a glib spied here, unfortunately,
but hey, Reggie, hey Reggie, and I scratch my arm a little bit and a panel opens up
and Reggie peeks out.
And I turn to red, he's shy because you're trying to get him out right now.
He knows you're trying to talk to him.
Come on, come on, buddy.
Sorry, buddy.
I, I just, I just wanted to, uh, patch just a little bit.
He's just used to only be talking to him.
Oh, well.
I didn't realize they could be shy.
I programmed to be shy.
I did, yeah.
Aw, win it.
That's so good.
Start rubbing the back of my helmet like the...
As long as we don't hear voices on the immediate other side of this door, I suppose this is a way forward, right?
I think you're right.
I mean, yeah, although this is the armory or talking to the guy with a clipboard.
Nerd.
Wait, actually.
And Red looks back towards the nerd, and he says, you know, he is alone.
I wonder if there is an argument where we get the drop on him and question him.
Maybe that's an easier way to find out about Duke's alter.
where Duke's Alto is, where we could get Duke's Alto alone,
and hell, if we could get it out of him, maybe a layout of this place.
What's dirty about clipboards?
Oh, sorry, that guy had glasses.
Clipboards are cool.
Red looks at Witted, who has glasses.
Giant.
He had red hair.
Was he cool or not why?
I'm very unclear right now.
No, nerd's a cool thing.
It's like, you know, how it's hip to play D.E.
indeed. Good.
Timuel's nose starts bleeding.
Red, do you want to
get the drop of him, capture him, question him, and then
kill him? I guess I just
didn't consider the fact that if
there is a fire giant completely
alone, we now have a new
option, which is
questioning, and we have
done it successfully before in the past
with, I believe, the hill giants,
where we ended up finding one
alone and learning some information about it.
Moog.
I wasn't even thinking about Moog, but yes, yeah.
But I could also try to probe his thoughts.
I just want to be careful not to, you know,
overdo it and not be able to listen in on Duke Zolto's mind.
Look, I'm not saying it's a great idea.
It's just something that I popped into my brain and I realized
is something we should at least decide not to do if we don't want to.
You know, Tamil, you kind of strange.
struck me with an idea there. You should listen in on his mind. He turns to red now.
How many times have we come across someone that didn't want to be where they were, didn't want to be what they were doing, and they were very willing to give it up?
Well, maybe it's been only once or twice. But hey, we've definitely come across that situation before. You never know.
Hey, once or twice is more than none. Exactly. Maybe you could peer into his mind. Have a little listen. Maybe he's stuck here. He doesn't want to be here.
Don't have a point.
I mean, he also is away from the celebrations with a clipboard.
Yeah.
He might be ready to give up as much information as he can't.
Well.
Let me have a quick think.
Red has expertise in giants.
Can I roll to see if it's within sort of the system of fire giants to have, you know, are they extremely loyal?
I know they're very military-based.
I know they're very, you know, regime following.
but is this even something that Redwood
know is a possibility or would he be like
no no these are like you know drones
and they always follow the king type vibe
listen I think just like people
with free will
giants are going to be different giant to giant
what do we say? Are you sympathizing with Nazis right now?
Differences between people
are greater than the differences between kinds of people
if that makes sense like they're individuals right
so I don't know this guy might
love clipboard and not like maybe he's antisocial and he doesn't want him.
Cliport's taking a beating in this hole.
But maybe.
I love clipboard.
I don't know.
This is my wife.
What I'm trying to say is I don't think you can necessarily draw a generalization about whether he's happy to be doing what he's doing or not.
Then you pass my test because that was secretly a test I was giving you.
Wow.
Red, I think you're right.
I think that right now we're operating at a deficit.
of information and every
corner that we turn, every door that we open
could have something unexpected that will halt us in our tracks
so getting as much information as possible is a good idea
and Doran I'm I think you're right too
peering into his mind trying to see if there might be a weakness
a way to convert him we don't lose anything except a spell slot
a what? Sorry I blacked out there right now my nose is bleeding
Doren looks up at you and nods as he's as he's as he
he's drawing um as he continues to draw this map of of iron slag in his journal he's been making
notes along the way okay iron slike has an r and it's just i y oren it's not iron slig
iron sorry it's because my i'm non-wrotech so it's it yeah all right well then let's let's
uh why don't tamil and i get close so that tamil can use my pass without trace but it doesn't
risk everybody getting close and and possibly you know no offense to erin but being
loud. What do you mean?
Now listen, I'll stay here
and I'll hold the door. In fact,
Wittitt, you can stay here with me.
I agree. I'm not the... I guess that's what you're saying,
Red. Yep.
And Red signs to Wim, you're in charge.
Whim goes, yes!
The little fist pump.
As they walk away, I think
Doren turns to Witton. It's like,
you know, you really have me
reconsidering getting some kind of
animal or pet
or something with that little thinking machine of yours.
It's quite the interesting companion or tool or whatever you call it.
They're both.
Reggie and I have been together since the very beginning, really.
He was, what of my first inventions?
He's been modified heavily since then.
And he seems to poke his head out and he kind of likes you, Doran, you think.
He's curious and climbs out onto the edge of my wrist.
Yeah, Dorn kind of does one of those little finger.
winks.
Hello.
Whatever, I don't even care.
Red says he walks away with Timu.
You have so many pets.
And I wanted more.
As they're kind of moving away, I think
Timil will lean into Red.
Here's the sticky wicket.
I have to be within 30 feet of this giant.
Oh.
So we're going to have to get pretty close.
Is it as the crow flies,
or do you have to be in line of side?
I have to be able to see him.
Fuck.
Okay.
And I can just peer around a corner,
but we've got to be right.
up there.
Okay.
All right.
Let's, like, hey, we'll give it the old cold.
It's try.
Worst case scenario, we'll improvise.
Right.
And Red and Temeel slink forward.
Yeah.
You pass on the western side now of this pool of molten iron.
And even though you are protected by this fire immunity potion, you still feel
the effects of being so close to such a high temperature.
Like your hair almost starts to fry a little bit from it,
but you are unmarred currently,
and you hear just the sizzle of the air all around you
as you move south.
You're going to have to hop over these channels of molten iron
in order to pass.
Hell yeah.
Let's hop.
We're great at it.
Are you kidding?
Yeah, so would the acrobatics check or what would you like?
I mean, it's only like a five-foot channel.
I think with a running jump, you can just do it.
But honestly, and you're not going to take damage if you land in it because you have resistance.
But I think it would just be a mind fuck probably, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, Red's like really tentatively at the edge of the lava.
He's like, okay, I'm going to do this one.
two and he like goes to jump but his like toe dips into the lava and like tamil you see it
but red doesn't and he's just yeah timil clenches for just a second and then when you seem fine
what what's wrong it's just a little tense that's all your toes like all plaque
it's like charred timiel doesn't want to alarm you yeah maybe it's but i mean you don't want to
yell right now so it doesn't hurt it's passive the trace it's not silence how do you know your toe your
high resistance is like a nova cane right now you get to be feel that one later oh boy
yeah yeah yeah whoa cool and then yeah we stealth up to the edge so after the first jump
whitted had almost been gliding over like no do do do and then seeing you guys jump across
is like all right your call and you got across but the next time he does try to swoop in and
almost just grab red by the armpits and guide him across and plant him on the other end but in a
kind of like, but you're doing it yourself kind of way.
Like, it's obviously he tries to almost be like, oh, no, I'm just spotting you as you jump.
Like, Widdid is carrying red and like, Wididd's looking at where they're landing.
And red is just like the doughy eye looking like at like two Witted, just being like, you know, Jasmine looking at Aladdin.
And you like, thank you for carrying me across, Witton.
That's good.
I love that you tried really hard the first time and the second time you're like, oh, this is fine.
And the third time, you're just like, Carrie.
Take me.
When you get this attitude, he immediately ejects this, like, wire out of his wrist.
You could hold on to this, too, if you want, just trail behind.
No, you hold me.
And you can tell, it's trying to, like, push you a little bit, like, to create more space,
and you're, like, cuddling up more.
Nah, uh, like, my arms go tighter around you.
It's okay with it.
Stop pushing.
All right.
And we're here.
And we're here.
And I plant you with the other end.
Fine, but you can't.
throwing me back. Oh, okay. Oh.
Careful.
And you arrive to the corner around which you know a fire giant is standing.
Meanwhile, Doran turns to women and says,
So, I guess we're just the strong and silent types, eh?
Wham nods at you.
She points at the door and she signs,
what do you think is beyond this door?
Mm.
I don't know about you, but my curiosity is,
peeking as well and he kind of puts his back into the door and sees if it moves at all just based on
pushing it i mean it doesn't but that's because the handle isn't isn't turned and then
whim like you look over at her and she's got the glimmeriest fucking eyes in the world and she
nods at you like real slow like are we doing this oh no dorin's like got this grin that comes across
his face and he just nods and pushes a little bit more and kind of points up to the handle.
Can you?
She scrambles up on your shoulders and puts her feet up.
One of them is on your head and one of them is on your shoulder and she's like balancing on you.
He's like got a foot in his face.
He's like, we'll just take a look and we won't make much of her issue.
She reaches her skinny little arms up and pulls down on the hand.
handle and the latch is free. You just have to push the door. Make a strength check. There's
like a big click. Can't leave them alone for one second. Seriously. Yep. It's a 22.
Watch our plan's success beautifully and they fuck it all up. With your effort, Doran, the door
begins to slide open. Back in the south of the room, we have wided Tamil and
and red, plus Reggie, obviously, looney-tunesing around the corner of this wall, you can
almost hear the heavy breathing of this massive creature on the other side of the wall.
As soon as I get eyes on him, it's just like a shot out, this detect thoughts.
I just place it on him for those surface thoughts initially, and then we'll most likely start
to probe deeper, but I just want to hear
in his brain what he's thinking, expecting
it to just be, one,
two,
yes.
No, no, no, no.
One.
See if you could check his bath.
Yeah.
What numbers are you seeing? What numbers?
So, yeah, Tamil,
you cast Detect Thoughts on this
Fire Giant
with a clipboard.
And you
So hear an inner monologue interrupted halfway through a sentence.
Into battle.
I only hope that I can feel the heft.
Feel the weight of it, as is truly meant to be.
Then the glory will be mine.
And my brothers, and my sisters.
We will feel the rain of blood come down.
And it will be a day of honor
Does he seem nice?
Just like...
Death. Death. Death.
Temeel turns around to Red.
Let me listen. Let me listen to it.
No, no. This is a dead end.
We should go back to the door before Doran tries to open it or something.
All right. And Red like looks back in the direction and sees Doran like opening the doors.
Oh, duh.
Motherfucker.
Shit.
Yep.
Whim and Doran,
the door opens wide enough
to permit you to enter
into the room to the north.
What do you do?
Doran's sucking in to squeeze through
the sliver of the door.
That's how little...
You're squeating through it?
Yeah, we're going in.
Jesus Christ.
Yeah, of course.
We're heroes.
I mean, red bolts back to the door.
You can't.
Right now you guys are listening
to detect thoughts right now.
When you look back, the door's open and we're inside, I feel like.
Doran, you and Wim, us, you and me, we are on the other side of this open door and we behold a massive quenching tank.
This must have been where Tamil's party met their age.
End.
Oh, yeah.
Doesn't seem like there are any creatures, any movement in this room, but you do hear more clattering
and you recognize goblin voices.
I can tell that from anywhere.
That's a goblin, Wim.
Wim's eyes go wide and she points where?
Like, where is it coming from?
And Doren sort of points in to the room.
She grabs your shirt from the back.
and she starts to pull you back through the door,
just as the other party members return.
We all, like, collide in the threshold of this door.
Wim spins around on our heel and catches sight of your face.
Wimmy!
She points at Doren.
If something happened to you, I don't know.
I don't know what the hell I would do.
Be safe.
Doran.
You should know better, Doren.
When he points at Doren, listen.
I can hear goblin voices in there
And it sounds like maybe some more
Some more metal clanging
Maybe some more collection of weapons or tools
Shall we move up and peer around those corners
And he kind of points up into the room
Where it looks like this short hallway ends
Yes, together
Don't listen, sorry, I just wanted to peek
And as we move in concert
Through this door
into the cistern level. Tamil, you are hit by the memory. You know this room. You know that to the
right, that's the kitchen. Those are the goblin sounds that's happening. You remember hearing
those sounds very distinctly as maybe one of the worst things in your life ever happened to you because
this is the room where it happened.
When Tamil passes through the doors,
she's a little bit flustered because the detect thoughts.
She really was hoping that there would be some sort of ally
that they could make in a giant,
but this guy is a bean counter
and is really gung-ho with the let's-kill everything.
And so that's disappointing.
And I don't think that she even realizes where she is.
So when she moves through the door,
and she lands her eyes on that large pool,
I think she just stops and she's just staring
and not moving for very unusual amount of time
and is just like frozen in place for a moment.
Come on, Tamil, let's keep going, let's...
And Red sort of sees what you're looking at.
Oh.
Oh, oh.
I...
Uh, I'm sorry, yes, it's, um, the, the sounds you're hearing there, they're from the kitchen.
It's, um, that's where their goblins are preparing the food.
Right, well, um, what do we do?
Red looks to like, Witted.
He's looking for the cold, calculated Witted.
He's like, I can't separate myself emotionally from Tameel because I care about Tammil.
Witted, tell us what to do.
Wittid takes a step forward from,
behind or he'd been kind of coming in through the door and has this slow back and forth
exchange between what Tamil's looking at and how Tamil's reacting.
Tabil, I don't pretend to know what's going on.
You're reacting to this place.
And I suspect it's not because of something we're seeing, but because of something you're
remembering.
As you're saying that, I think that because even she,
She was just casting to take thoughts.
Maybe there's even a little bit of that residual kind of, you know, like psychic output that swings back your way as she turns to look at you.
And that memory that she shared with you, I think, comes back to you in a way that you would begin to also recognize this room and maybe even start to feel that residual anguish that she was sharing before.
Oh, and he starts to rotate the helmet around, almost like now his arms are coming up.
And you can tell it's not that he thinks there's actually going to be an attack.
He's scared the way you're scared.
He's tense the way that you cannot be comfortable in this room.
And he doesn't like this feeling, you can tell.
And he starts to stammer.
I, it was here.
This is where they kept you.
This is where you were.
This is where I was in the armor.
I told you I was trapped.
This is where you were trapped.
Oh, I don't like this feeling.
Tabil, I'm so sorry.
I'm sorry for what they did to you.
And he's now reacting worse than you, Temeel.
He's starting to almost, you hear this like pneumatics going down in his legs.
And he's starting to curl up a little bit into a ball in the armor, kind of.
I'm so sorry.
This shouldn't have happened to you.
I think Big Sister, Inns.
instinct kicks in at that moment and she turns to wit it and she says, no, you couldn't have known, you didn't understand me.
All right, look, this place is full of bad memories and violence and evil and that's what we're trying to stop.
So we have to just keep pushing forward.
So let's just, let's push forward together, shall we?
And she'll extend like a hand out to you and your little curled up ball.
he he looks at you as the hand of the armor reaches out
and then you see from inside the neck his hand reach out
almost like he's reaching and then he just taps the edge
and nods the helmet comes up and clink shut
and then all of a sudden when he stands up he's standing taller
literally at the joints like he's extended a little bit
and you realize it's almost like this as he almost puffs out his chest
and immediately goes into kind of a pretty everyone and he's using the armor voice everyone this is not a good place we are not going to become trapped here we are going to keep moving let's follow tamil she knows what to do and he's kind of walking bodyguard style next to tamil now
fuck yeah that's awesome i want to give you guys a shared inspiration
Separate from your individual inspiration
That you guys can choose to use together or separately
But it's like a Tamil and witted combo
Oh my gosh
We're going to have to come up with some sort of shenanigans
Some sort of like shared shenanigans
Yes absolutely
Yes that's for
Good job guys
Following your lead
All right
Oh
As you continue your way
into the room, you recognize that there is something different from the last time you were here.
And it is, as one of the escapists told you, the pools have been drained.
They were filled through these spigots in the wall that are from like mountain springs.
Mountain juice.
Yeah.
And then as you were told, like, your party was dropped, like the cage was dropped in, but you didn't see the bodies or anything.
So these are the drained quenching pools.
I think Tamil starts, like, she takes a step forward towards one of the pools, knowing that they're now drained.
And she stops.
And she says, if I, if I see something down there now, I don't know that I'll be able to stop myself from pursuit.
doing that.
Look, we may have
came here for Duke Salto, but this is just as
important. Do what you have
to do. I mean,
you know,
if it's just bodies
down there, if it's just bones, then
it's what I was expecting anyway, so...
Doran sort of grabs your bracer
and I'll
come with you. Thank you, Doran.
Wouldn't want you to lose your balance.
So, Tamil
will walk right up to the
edge of the pool over which she saw her party dropped and she will peer into the depths.
You look down into this stone basin, now dry. And at first, you see nothing. But then you catch
sight of something small, something metal, at the bottom of this empty cistern.
It's about 10 feet, 15 feet deep.
Go for it.
All right.
Tamil will jump into this pool relatively stealthily, and she'll go try to retrieve whatever
that metal thing is.
Your feet crunch against the sandy bottom of this.
empty stone vessel and you hear your footsteps echo at you from this like amphitheater and as you approach
you recognize the crushed figure of a little metal spider. Tamil goes over to it and she
picks it up
she recognizes it
and starts looking around
for any other evidence
any other
remains or anything
there is a great
in the side
area of this cistern that would allow
water to sluice through into some
underground tunnels
but apart from this
little metal spider you don't find any other evidence of anything and as you cradle it in your hands
you don't know what's going on with it but one leg waggles just a little bit
Tamil's heart is racing she just she stands up she starts like rushing over to the edge
she holds out a hand to Doran to be lifted out of the pool and then she'll kind of
Gather everyone around.
Look.
Look at this.
There wasn't anything here.
There wasn't anything in there except this.
Whim signs, what?
What is it?
She shows it to Witted.
Well, let's see.
What are we looking at here?
He's being very ginger and gentle, both with Temeel and with the item.
Can he make an Arcana check?
Yeah, absolutely.
That'll be a 21 in all, plus nine.
Nice.
This remarkably elegant, although crushed, piece of mechanism is what remains of a beautiful clockwork homunculus.
Wait, well, this, but wait, this doesn't make any sense.
Is this a relic of your old, was this a possession?
Yes, my sister.
Oh, goodness.
My sister, Kalia, she was very gifted like you.
She built all sorts of little things like this.
This was one of her treasured possessions.
Wow. What do you think it means?
I don't know, but it was the only thing down there,
and it's possible that she left it if she was able to escape.
It's possible she's alive.
Yes, I think so.
Witted, if you fix this, assuming you could fix it,
could it locate Tamele's sister?
I don't know.
The helmet opens up and he's leaning out.
The arms of the suit are still holding the homonculus,
but tools are already starting to pop out of them
and with his own hands, but I've got to dab well try,
and he's going to start putting it together with the mending spell
and whatever tools he can use.
use here. It's at that moment that you hear the clattering sound of a pot falling to the
ground. And as you all whip your heads up to find the source of the noise, you see a goblin
standing in the entryway staring at you.
All right.
Now I'd like to just thank our wonderful Patrions.
And what I've done is I've just created a list here.
Let me just pull this out of my...
Okay, here we go.
Thank you to Lita J.

Thank you again for listening, and I guess you'll hear us again soon.
What's a nice way that we can pull out of this? Well, I had a question about the spigots, like,
Can they be turned on?
Maybe.
That's not a good way to end the episode, though.
Okay, never go on.
No.
It's one of the worst.
Maybe we've been turned on those spigots.
I love that.
I love that everyone's like huddled around having this really touching moment.
Can we fix it?
And then Doran's like, hard cuts.
The spigots.
The spigot.
The spigot turns.
We probably proceed.
No, go ahead.
No, no, you.
