There's plenty of air, ultimately.
Who's going for the key?
This is the World War Chamber.
Gap! Get me out!
Hey, Reggie, where's this?
How do we deal with Dor?
I like where you're going.
This room would be pitch black.
Do we have the beads?
Wedged in here, aren't we? Not a lot of ways out.
Sort of like...
All going into a pita.
It's so stupid, but simple.
Just know we should originally.
Some of us are here to play D&D.
Get it. Go.
Set it and forget it.
That seems like it's within 500 feet.
Yep.
The hypotenuse of that particular deadly triangle.
Oh, this is enough.
fucking Matta Archimedes over here.
Pythagoras.
They call me Pythagoras.
Yeah.
Look through your fucking telescope, you nerd.
Oh.
Who's he triangulating?
Welcome back to Dyshame.
This is season two, episode 158.
Go with it. MVP this week is that one Candyman. They've posted in our discord saying
they're partway through season two and adding some lighthearted joking about Alex's being
able to remember his character's abilities. Look, Candyman. Is Alex the most reliable
rules or names rememberer on the show? No. But that only makes him more endearing to the fans
and the other players at the table. And I'm glad you love him for it, just like we do. So thanks for
Hanging out with us this week,
that one Candyman,
you're this week's MVP.
Who's Alex?
All right, should we do this?
Yeah, let's play some D&D.
Yeah.
Woo!
Deep within the heart of Iron Slag.
giant fortress. Red's Rovers is ready. With a hero's inside of the portable hole and Reggie
widd's homunculus turned invisible, Red's rover's plan is now in action. We hear the skittering
rattle of Reggie's mechanical feet as he enters the gas pipes feeding the fireplaces. The sound marks
his passage through a long segment and then bouncing down a level, catching himself in mid-air
by unfurling his mechanical wings, and then settling down for the final creep through the pipes
into the rear of the giant fireplace on the north side of the great feasting hall.
Reggie pauses just for a moment to choose his trajectory carefully, almost reminiscent of his
creator in terms of mathematical calculations, and then he takes off like a shot.
Still invisible, careens through and around a line of goblins, carrying dishes and dirty plates away from the tables.
A narrow mist there, he's forced to redirect his trajectory away from an ogre carrying a steaming cauldron and heads underneath the feasting table.
Over the stinking feet of fire giants, and then he turns the corner of a bench to find himself face to face with a hellhound curl up where it's been getting table scraps.
but the hounds slavering jaws and quivering nose snarl the smell of Reggie.
It's blazing, coal eyes searching for him, but Reggie's already scooting away,
dodging a plate full of yak folk that's knocked to the floor by a carousing giant,
and then he's off to the shadowy corners of the far side of the room,
where the dark corridor looms, and beyond the war room,
safely bringing the heroes to their next destination.
Reggie opens up the portable hole
to see the five of us
desperately gasping for breath.
Red inside hasn't breathed.
He's like been holding his breath.
There's plenty of air ultimately.
I didn't realize how moist it wasn't here.
A circle of light opens above you
and you see that you have been deposited somewhere.
Get me out.
Hey, Reggie, where's this?
As you all climb out of the portable.
hole you find that you have been deposited in the hallway in front of the war room whose door
has been left thoughtfully ajar for you by Zaltember. Yes. All right. This is the war chamber.
Go, go, go, go, go, go. Quiet now. Inside. Can we hear voices inside? Seems to be empty from what you can
perceive in the few seconds that you've been standing here for. Red takes the portable hole.
back up and slides inside.
Cool.
Floating and after them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's a bilingual podcast now.
Oui.
Oh, it's so.
French.
All right.
Tamil's going to look for, like, all of the options for cover.
Like, what is there in this room that they could conceivably and, like, reasonably hide well behind?
I'm so glad you asked.
Yeah.
Um, I don't know how to pronounce this word because I've only ever read it or,
Possibly just given a run at it.
Trebouchet.
Basalt.
Basalt.
I always said basalt.
Yeah, basalt.
Bath salts.
A basalt table sculpted to look
like a fountain of black
fire dominates the center
of this room.
Bare marble shelves
jut out from the walls
at heights of 10 and 15 feet
along the side here.
And there are
three large
what is it called
basalt
scons
thank you
three large sconces
some of us are here to play D&D
Harlan sorry
she closes her
thesaurus
three large
sconces light to the room
with like this beautiful
warm light
apart from the shelves
and this big table, there is only one other feature in the room.
A giant-sized sculpture, maybe a set of armor in the far corner of the room that's just hanging out.
So that's a negative on places to hide?
So that's like, unless you want to do kind of ring around the rosy situation around the table,
it seems like you're going to, I mean, maybe you could hide behind the statue.
Does it look like the table opens?
Is it like convenient storage for toys and stuff?
Definitely not.
So the base of it is solid.
It's not like four legs or anything.
Correct.
And then, so if I go over and I examine the statue, stealthily,
is it a statue or is it armor?
Is it a hollow inside?
You move over to this armor,
and upon examination, it appears to be solid iron.
Witted followed right behind Temeel heading towards that armor.
Yeah, I'm staying there with you, too, Tumil.
Nice.
All right.
I think maybe one or two of us could hide behind this armor.
Does it seem large enough that that's true, Joe?
I would say sort of one on the north side, one on the south side,
could easily tuck yourself in behind the grieves of this statue,
but probably not everybody.
Would we would it possibly be able to make an arcana check on this armor to see if it's magical in any way?
Yeah, absolutely.
Go for it.
12 looks fine to me.
12, yeah.
I mean, you don't recognize like the make of the armor or anything really specific about it seems mundane to you.
Although you do notice that there is a gem.
embedded in the forehead of this statue,
a shiny red ingot.
Although it's pretty high up.
It's like maybe 20 feet off the ground,
so you can't get a great look at it from here.
There wasn't a, you said it was solid iron,
no way to get inside it in any way, the armor.
Is that right?
Not that you can see, no.
No one has hallucinary terrain per chance, do they?
Good question.
Nope.
Because if we could make
the back wall
appear like two feet
closer? I don't think it'd be
noticeable and we could just stand behind it.
Like it would be a fake wall. You know what I mean?
Nobody has that.
No. I don't have
a lot of illusion.
Can you upcast greater invisibility to
target more than one creature? I think
invisibility yes, but greater
no. Yeah. I don't think because
it doesn't have it yet. I believe. Yeah, I could
use my meta magic
to twin it.
have enough sorcery points for that?
When you cast a spell such as Charmed Person
that can be cast with a higher level spell slot
to target an additional creature, no, so I cannot do that.
Because it's only affecting one creature,
and that's the criteria. So you should be able to
twin it to two creatures. And then it's just
a question of whether or not, because it costs
the number of sorcery points equal to the level
of the spell, is that right?
Yeah. To twin it?
Unless, if it's greater, that I can't twin.
So the text of twinning
the spell is that it has to be a spell
that when you can upcast it, you get to add additional targets.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah, I didn't know that either.
Yeah, I mean, you know.
Wait, is that, uh, 2024 rules or is that, uh, legacy rules?
I believe it's legacy.
This character sheet I set to legacy, but I'm also not a whiz with D&D beyond.
So, uh, confirmed that the thing that you just read where it has to be able to be
upcast, that's 2024 rules.
Old, old rules.
The, the text is when you cast a spell that targets only one creature and doesn't have a range
of self.
spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spells level to target a second creature.
So then that should be fine, ostensibly, right?
Red wants to roll knowledge on fire giants.
Great.
To remember, and I'm sure this is the case, but do they have dark vision?
They are his favorite enemy.
He has advantage to learn information.
I have 17.
And I'm sure this is the case, but I want to just be sure.
From your recollection, fire giants do not have dark vision.
Okay.
There's no fireplace in this room.
What if we snub these torches?
This room would be pitch black.
Well, we should at least make it dimmer, right,
so that you can use your jumping about ability.
Well, if they can't see us in the dark,
I mean, look, they can come in here and just assume no one lit them,
but they would have no way to see in here.
There's only a brazier out in the hall,
and once the door shuts, it's pitch black.
Would you have a conversation in a room that was pitch black?
Or would you try to light one of the sconces?
I think they would try to light all the skunks
But all we need to do is get the key and leave
Fair enough
And everyone else can see in the dark
I don't know if I can see in the dark
It's so stupid but simple
Like me
Oh you're not
Okay well
Dot dot dot dot dot
I think what you mean to say is it's so simple
It's brilliant
Right though?
Like we don't need invisibility if they can't see in the room
And if they don't have dark vision
I like where you're going
I think there's a play here.
Like, I think we should leave one going or have all go out at the same time once they enter the room.
The problem is if they're all out, is going to be like, what the hell is going on?
What was he going to do?
Tell someone else to light them?
The kid knows something's up.
The kid's going to be like, get in here, Dad.
Like, if anything, it works to our advantage that they're out, you know?
Like, what are you scared?
He gets in the dark.
Literally, we could all fucking accost him at once and take the key and run.
Considering they have to go into the room to reignite the light,
at least, that seems to be the situation that certainly puts them within our line of engagement.
Right?
I mean, it seems obvious in a way, but I mean, hell, Occam's Razor, you know?
Just take out the lights and maybe...
Tamil, can you see in the dark at all?
I can actually see very well in the dark, as I remember suddenly.
Oh, that's good.
Not only can you see, you have like super vision.
Super dark vision, yeah, devil's sake.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not a problem here either
Edwitted, who's a gnome that you kind of know
would be able to see in the dark
Has his helmet slammed down
And like the
Like night vision goggles
Like he has some augmentations even from the armor
Yeah, that's probably why Doran didn't ask you
He's like, noms are also bottom
Or subsurface dwellers
Exactly
I mean is there any reason not to do it
There is no reason not to try it
Do we have the beads?
Oh, we absolutely have the means
Whim?
Whim pulls out a triangular fire opal that shines in the dim glimmer of these braziers,
and she snaps her fingers and walks around the room, and as she does, each of the flames is extinguished.
That's the opal of the old room.
I found it in Jack's stuff in his chest upstairs.
Oh, Jack.
I saw many times light and extinguished flames.
wicked. Still like a fresh wound. Oh, grow up. It was like 20 episodes ago.
We should probably still not just be out in the open though. And also, if we get separated for any
reason, who's going for the key? What are the other specifics of this plan? Yeah, yeah.
Just in the dark. Now we're in the dark. All right. Yeah, but the darks, we all have night vision.
Yeah. And you're right. And Red moves to the back of the large center slab to be away from the light of
the door. Come on over here.
Look, how much can mage hand carry?
Does it make sense to try to pickpocket with that?
How heavy do we think this key will be?
Well, Widded, you'd be the brains to figure that out.
I am curious would Wittuddin know roughly how big a key we're talking about.
That's fair, yeah.
Don't worry.
I've already thought about this.
Frantic Googling.
So much.
Because I could see it being heavier than 10 pounds.
AI is so dumb.
Got to use duck, duck go.
Just get out of that.
A giant key in D&D 5E would likely weigh several hundred pounds, possibly even a ton or more,
depending on the size and material of the key.
That's not one of the key.
I mean, a key is relative to the size of the creature or object.
It unlocks.
For example, a key for a large creature's door would be significantly heavier than one for a medium creature's door.
But isn't this the key to the morning door?
A medium creature's key might weigh 512 pounds.
Easy.
I wasn't even sure what form the key would take necessarily
because it seems almost like a remote activator thing.
It could be heavier than a normal, like just dorky.
Oh, you would know because it's the Von and Dodd.
Duh.
I was saying it was a door.
That's why you're asking.
You're so right.
What would that look like?
Listen, the Von and Dodd is huge.
It is a colossal.
It's a titan.
It's bigger than giant.
The rods are.
of the von and dot are like big.
But aren't these keys
for a door that's meant to let
small folk in to do small work?
This is a power down the Von and Dodd key, right?
It's a key that opens
a door that would allow you guys to
get in and shut down the Von and Dodd
from inside. Okay. Oh.
This isn't an off switch. This is a
door key. I thought it was an off switch.
Okay. I'm imagining
one of those
the key that goes in the back
of an electronic
like toy or something
that's like round
you know what I mean
like one of those
like a clockwork key almost
but giant size
and also Von and Dodd flavor
so like for resetting the watch
kind of like the little button
yeah yeah
I'm almost imagining it to be like
relatively long
like you would
it's like goes in and hits
a switch like on
the inside kind of thing and like pops open a gear. But Witted, you would imagine this key could
probably weigh 60 pounds. I'm afraid this might be beyond the scope of our mage had to
lift off of his person. I have a thought. I have a thought. So we're going to have to make a,
we're going to have to beat feet pretty fast once we have this key. It sounds like it's large
and probably could do well to be shoved into your portable hole as a way of carrying it.
Right. So if I can, it will be cutting it short, but I believe I can make myself invisible and then try to get this key.
And then if I can have the portable hole and shove the key into the portable hole,
I think I can then dimension door back to that place that we saw.
the fire elemental patrolling.
Do you remember how we came into the...
We exited the mines from the elevator shaft
and we came into that first large room that we found.
Right.
I think I can get myself back there.
Whim nods and then she signs
and then demonstrates with an instructive gesture,
what if we slit open the satchel?
And then mine's like everything falling on the floor.
Slit open the satchel, have the portable hole under it somehow.
Hmm.
And we jump in.
She signs it would be easier than trying to get inside the pouch ourselves.
The other option is, you have enlarged reduce, right?
I do.
So we could shrink that key down to one-eighth its size, making it much more transportable.
Let me think very hard for a moment here.
Can we consult my memory?
Oh, okay, yes. It is a creature or an object.
I could, yes.
What if you just shrink the whole giant down?
Well, it can't be worn or carried, so it would have to be removed first, but I was just thinking.
Additionally, I can jump through shadows once.
Basically, misty step.
So I could potentially jump anywhere in this room,
which would be perhaps even easier than Dimension Door to get it to you
who could then open Dimension Door.
Like, if I slit the bottom, grab the key,
and then jump to the farthest corner of the room where you are,
then we could also get out.
So I have one jump, basically, is what we could say.
It just has to be from shadow to shadow.
Wim gestures at herself and then signs, I can also go invisible.
What if we all do all of this at the same time?
And then whoever gets it wins?
It's like rugby?
Yeah.
I'll tell you what.
It's one thing to get the key, but Doren is now walking back over to the closed door,
and he's looking for gaps or anything where Reggie might be able to fit in.
And he's continuing to talk.
He says, but we're still going to have to figure out where to go once we get the key.
And how quickly can we get out?
And how quietly can we get out?
And I'm looking at you, Reggie.
And it kind of looks out withed as well.
What do you think?
So there's kind of two conversations I think going on.
One's like, how do we get the key?
The other one's how do we get out?
Well, Timiel said the dimension door could be the way out.
That's just, would that be for everybody?
No, that would be for me and maybe one other person.
Yeah.
And where does that, how far can you go?
Could you go right outside?
500 feet.
Yeah, pretty good.
Well, actually, this is a really, really big place.
Back to Waterde.
Well, so I think that the place that we, like, entered through the, like, that hallway on the, on the upper level is like, there would be more distance right because I'm angling up a certain amount, but, you know.
It's still probably within the allowable, yeah.
Yeah.
That seems like it's within 500 feet.
The hypotenuse of that particular deadly triangle.
Oh, this is the fucking matthamette.
Archimedes over here
Pythagoras.
They call me Pythagoras.
Go look through your fucking
telescope, you nerd.
Who's he triangulating?
Triangulate a position?
Pythagoram.
As long as people aren't
like chasing us afterwards, I figure
the rest of us could sneak our way
and meet up with Temeel.
I feel confident
Reggie will be invisible for the next hour.
I feel confident that even in a situation
where he is trying to pack us up, as it were,
and get that portable hole folded up again
while a room is being steadily lit up by fire giants,
even in that situation, I think we're covered.
Cool.
I can make myself invisible.
Whim, you are able to make yourself and red invisible.
You, I believe, have a similar ability.
Whitted.
How do we deal with Doran?
Oh, goodness.
Well, wait, I'm right here.
We all look towards Doran.
Mm-hmm.
Well, he could go in the portable hole again.
I was planning on taking cover behind the statue here.
Doored, you're welcome to join, but that's where I'll be taking cover.
Just wondering how we get you out.
So you guys would do the dimension door right outside?
Is that what I'm hearing?
Not right outside.
I would want a dimension door back up to our known method of, hang on, no, because we climbed under the elevator, didn't we?
We don't have a set way to get back up.
elevator except those thousands and thousands of stairs oh but wait a minute red and dorn have seen the
inside of iron slag at ground level right and we walked through that as a party to climb the stairs
that led to the outside then we went inside then we went down again is it not logical to assume
being that we've descended the stairs to the most possible that we are now returned to ground level
you could just zap out to the entrance.
Yeah.
And then how would all of you get out?
Well, if I have the portable hole with everybody,
and then if Wim, Doran, and Witted get into the portable hole
and I hold it and you and I zap through.
Yeah.
That was kind of my thinking is if we're all in the portable hole,
Reggie will take us again and Doran can fit in there as well.
Wait a minute.
Or, or I was even to say one of us go,
you know, keep the stealthiest people back.
Doran's not stealthy
Just suggestion
I go with Tamil
Yeah I mean
In the dimension door
Wait Harlan were you suggesting
That Doran, whim
And Witted all get in the portable hole
You and I invisible
Retrieve the key
Then I bamp the two of us outside
Correct
Ah
Yeah
That's a good idea
Okay
Yeah
That's smart
And we're there as backup
Just in case things don't work out
Yeah
Yeah
I was going to say
The majority of the party
is just on standby right now.
Yes.
I like that idea because then it gets us the key, the conch,
because it's outside of the walls of iron slag.
And I was just Googling to make sure that Dimension Door isn't a astroplane,
which would immediately destroy everything.
We're good.
It would be fun.
That's how's your good call.
I mean, how do we want to do this?
There's a million ways we could get this thing from this guy.
Whim gestures, she can cast invisibility.
Yeah, okay.
Invisibility, nice.
But it would be great.
great just to get it
and go, you know? No, we want to stay for dinner
Doran. I'm about
standby to disable him
if push-cups to
shove, but that's not our
optimal strategy and I can't get that key.
I can get
myself and one other person,
I think, out of the
mountain from here.
If my
triangulation is correct.
Whoa, fucking point
Dexter over here, Jesus Christ.
Red.
What's happened to your voice?
I'm Rouge. I'm Red's brother.
Duren's kind of playing as innate directional skills.
It's pretty much that way.
Okay, hold on. If you could get us out, then I can teleport at least once in the darkness
now that these torches are out, so I could potentially get the key, bamf over to you
if you could get us out, and we just have to worry about getting the other three in the portable
hall, which I could carry, and then presumably all of us tumbling outside of these walls.
safe and sound
Sort of like
All going into a pita type thing
A pita, sorry
Like a pita, like a bread?
Yeah, it's this really foreign bread
Whim gestures
Is that a Dwarven food?
Like falafel?
I think it's in the islands
Yeah, we should originally
So perhaps we all
Crowd into
This, behind this statue
In the dark
Wait for them to come in
And then
Is it greater invisibility whim or quick invisibility that you could cast?
Greater.
Greater.
All right.
If you cast greater invisibility on me and the portable hole is held on to buy Tamil,
because you could then get them in the hole, hold onto it, and get dimension door going.
I slice open the bottom of this bag, the key tumbles out, I scoop it up,
zap over to Tamil as everybody's in the hole, and you whap us out.
Does that make sense?
Red says through pained teeth, maybe, hopefully.
I can hold my breath for a long time, I think.
Good, Doran. That's one nice thing to fucking worry about.
It is, uh, we will have very little room for error.
Error's my middle name.
Wait, I mean, it's not error.
It's perfection's my middle name.
I don't think that would be a good thing there, right?
Where are you going to wait in the room for the Giants?
Well, if I'm invisible, probably.
here behind this big slab.
If I can fit behind this, uh, this, this statue and, uh, Tameel starts shimmying.
Mm-hmm.
How, how much can I position myself?
Yeah, you can shimmy right in there.
I'll hide here, invisible.
Tamil, you could be invisible too.
And, uh, and once I zap to you, you dimensioned oros out of here.
Whim signs, but you would only have one minute.
I only need one minute.
Not, I don't need it that way. You know what I mean.
If they dally outside the room, for example, if Zolto looks at,
then orders someone else to come in
and light these torches. I mean, we'd have to be
very precise on when we cast
the invisibility and how quickly
we move around.
I mean, look, if he opens the door and he doesn't
come in, I'll make it happen.
I'll run towards him. I'll slip up in the bag myself
and I'll zap towards you and cover the distance
of your foot. But I agree
if everything goes haywire, we need a plan B.
We're sort of wedged in here, aren't we? Not a lot of
ways out. Planned B,
I would like to be on hand to potentially
disable as also if necessary.
I do not want him to be able to sound an alarm.
You can tell Widdid's being very urgent about
like, I don't want to go easy on this guy
if push comes to shove.
I won't kill him, but I'll take him out.
Well, you know what? Maybe that's plan A.
Look, you've mentioned a few times now that you can disable.
What if we wait until they come in this room
and the minute they're both in here,
you cast hypnotic pattern.
And regardless of whether or not that succeeds,
Tamil and I are put into action.
I run over there, cut open the bottom of his bag,
or get in there somehow, get the key, zap out,
and we call that our insurance.
It does provide a very convincing distraction,
whether it necessarily it capacities them or not.
It will, however, make it very clear that something is happening,
and Zalta will be, at that point,
privy to some matter of deception, even if he does not understand what.
Yeah, but we only need that moment of surprise.
Granted.
If we light one of the, re-light one of these sconces so they don't have any reason to call
someone else in.
We keep the shadows down.
I can message Zoltember to shut the door behind him.
You can set off your hypnotic pattern as long as we're hidden when they first enter the
room, and I think we can do that by just being behind this table.
Agree.
The problem is if the sconces are lit, I can't jump through shadows.
I can only do it from shadow to shadow.
And Joe has proven to be very prickly when it comes to where shadows are.
What a shadow is?
If he is disabled or not, does it matter if there are shadows?
Will you need to jump?
Can't we just kind of be there with him?
It gives me no out if he snatches me.
Fair enough.
And to put it plainly, if he snatches me, I'm dead.
Because he could break me in half in one squeeze of his fist.
All right.
Okay, there's another factor that I'm just realizing.
Red says, kind of pacing.
What if the hounds enter with him?
They would sniff us immediately.
Yes.
Zalt Ember would hopefully, and he just shakes his head.
You saw him.
How often does he go anywhere without his hounds?
He said no bodyguards.
Didn't say no hounds.
Would I remember if I saw him wandering around?
without um narthor and zarabor not to your knowledge great yeah can someone just really quickly kind of like
go through what we have landed on yes i've got not a readied action but i'm on hand to do the hypnotic
pattern if i can catch them both in it yeah weim is going to cast invisibility on red and
timiel or just red i can actually cast a greater invisibility on myself if we wanted to let someone else
also be invisible, like Wim or Doren or Witted?
I'm probably Witted.
I'll take the invisibility.
I'm not that stealthy.
Is it a concentration for the hypnotic pattern?
It is, yes.
So I wouldn't be able to do any more invisibility.
Reggie would.
And Reggie is currently being covered by your invisibility, which is concentrated.
I'm going to drop that already and take him back on board.
I'm not going to try to keep him invisible right now.
And the way I'm thinking about it.
that if you're surprising them with a hypnotic trance,
I don't know if you're going to need to be invisible
because it might either work or not.
And if it works, then it doesn't matter.
And if it doesn't,
Doran's going to be standing right beside you.
And I'm going to pick you up
and we're going to jump in the portable.
Perfect. That works.
Yeah.
Basically.
But here are the odds, Alex.
It's going to work for some of them is the odds.
The odds are, an almost worst case scenario is
it works for, say, three of them
and not one of the dogs or something like that.
In which case, it'll make sense for Witted to keep holding it,
but he becomes a target if he's visible
because he needs to maintain concentration.
So I would say he should be invisible because
if one of the dogs doesn't get concentrated and attacks him,
because how close you have to be for him, Ignotic Pattern.
It's pretty long range, 120 feet.
That's why I haven't been worried about it.
Okay, cool.
I hit a 30 by 30.
square, so I'm going to hopefully get all of them together, but not guaranteed at this size.
I'm going to stand next to Witted with my hand on him, so when he goes invisible, I can still hold him.
Wim is going to cast invisibility on myself.
Wim is turning red and Witted invisible.
Yes.
And she's getting in the hole.
Correct.
And then.
And then Temeel's turning yourself invisible and she's going to have the hole.
Yeah, so that Dorn and Witted and Wim will all get to her.
Are you guys going to be able to see each other?
how are you going to know where each other are no hold on feeling red is going to go up either
slice the bag or with his kitty claws climb duke's alto and get the key whoa i mean and then the
minute he all he needs to do is hold the key and pop his head and get an eyeball on any other
place in the room.
Imagine feeling like a mouse or larger-sized creature like climbing up your leg, like a little
kitten.
But if I'm quick, or if he's hypnotized, we're good.
Cool.
And everyone's good with that.
In which case, Red might even be on one of the shelves.
That's why Wim was like, where are you going to be?
Yeah.
Like, are you perching somewhere waiting for someone to walk by?
Because I think Red might even like heroically like leap to the bag.
No one's going to see it.
Yeah.
then red will burst towards you run you'll open dimension door and we get out right i suggest that
we run to this corner and that way if all of us just say we're all meeting that corner then we can
bump up next to each other or better yet the place where tamil is hiding behind the statue
okay as long as open the portable hole under the sconce or whatever i mean yeah because the thing
is like you don't need to see so those of you who aren't invisible door and witted you guys don't
need to see any of us. You just need to see
the portable hole so you can jump in.
Yeah. Yeah. So
we can set that, yeah. Set it
and forget it. What order are we
acting in then? Is it Wim first?
Red is going to be
doing his primeval awareness to see
when they start moving. Smart.
Because I can sort of act as radar.
That's not really an action though. That takes a minute.
Agreed. I'm just doing that during the
interim. Excellent. My logic
is if we know they're approaching the door,
then it would be Wim to Meal, Witted.
Wim would cast invisibility on myself and Witted.
Tamil would cast invisibility on self.
Witted would cast hypnotic pattern once they enter.
Yeah.
Then Red and then Doren, I presume.
What's the range on invisibility?
Touch, I think.
It's touch?
Yeah, so you can't be in position,
unless she's in position with you.
Also, keep in mind, I probably won't do hypnotic pattern the first turn exactly.
I might wait one turn for them.
to get further into the room and shut the door and such.
Okay.
If Red is doing primeval awareness for a minute,
like trying to make sure they, like he knows where they are,
then I feel like Tamil would at that time just be pinging out
trying to message Zaltember as well.
Great.
In that kind of like set up phase.
Yeah.
Just being like, the lights are out.
Bring your father into the room and shut the door behind him.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Moving into position.
Whim signs.
Okay, I'm ready.
Good luck, everyone.
see you on the other side.
All right.
Let's do this.
Well, I guess it's time to kill some Duke Zolt, eh?
No, no, no, see.
No, wait, that's not what I'm glad.
We'll explain to you next week.
All right.
All right, now I'd like to just thank our wonderful Patreon.
And what I've done is I've just created a list here.
