Eat your master Kurola
Uh, no
Yeah, give us the insight
Yeah, it's really creepy
Keep your eyes down
She shouldn't have had access to a weird
How did she?
Uh-oh!
Finally!
Well done, Wimmy!
Two around the rock.
I can't really see them right now.
We've brought you big, ugly, white hairy beast
Nice.
That was suspicious.
I love a buffet.
Join us, join us.
About time.
Once again, the cover of like a dragon magazine
right there, the dwarf
just picking off the Eddie's head.
Fully, fully.
Welcome back to Dice Shame.
This is Season 2, Episode 165, heads or tails.
MVP this week is A.K. Trash Panda from the Discord,
who's finally started Dice Shame.
They may only be on episode 6, but they'll be hearing this in no time.
Thanks, AK Trash Panda.
We hope you enjoy.
you're this week's MVP.
All right.
Should we play some D&D?
Yeah, let's do it.
Woo!
You!
You stand in the middle of the arena of Al-Hamor,
monsters on all sides of you,
the crowd awaiting your move.
Tamil, it's your turn.
Uh, question, Joe.
Do you think that I have,
of sight on the goblins that are high that kind of like scurried away from behind then went
behind the rock that are taking cover yeah so tamil you are sort of in the southern area of the
arena and you are face to face with a terrible white furry monster who's been taking swipes at you
there are as you said some goblins behind like a rocky outcropping just to the east of you
that sort of dove there after being attacked by your party,
they both took the hide bonus action as part of their turn.
Okay.
You are going to have to roll to perceive them as like part of your turn
and then we can see whether you can see them from where they're at.
All right.
I'm going to roll to perceive the goblin that's, let's say, the most exposed,
whichever either one of those is.
Yeah, probably the southern one.
Yeah. I rolled a 14.
No, they're both pretty covered by this rocky outcropping.
All right. Then not being able to get eyes on either of them and kind of trusting that her fellows are going to make good choices and, you know, not lose track of any enemies on the field.
Tamil is going to take a swipe at this Yeti in front of her with Static, who is currently in.
in lash.
I've missed static.
Yeah, me too,
because we've been so sneaky recently.
Does a 27 hit?
Whoa.
Yeah, yes, yes, it does.
I was like, I'm pretty sure a 13 hit the last time.
If it doesn't, we've got a problem.
Yeah.
Yeah, for real.
That's one of those things you just say with passive aggression,
does a 27 hit?
Yeah, and then the GM's like,
Uh, no.
Actually, no.
Try again.
Nope, you're good.
Okay, that is 14 damage on the first hit.
Yes.
Nice.
And she'll whip back around another 27 to hit.
Nice.
Does that hit?
Does that 27 hit?
The 27 that did hit before also hits this time.
Amazing.
16 damage that time.
Nice.
And then as a bonus action, I would like,
to use my defensive flourish.
So I rolled a six on my
bardic for my defensive flourish.
My AC is now 27.
Oh, wow.
So I'm just gonna, I'm gonna hunker down
and just prepare for any incoming
hits from this big furry motherfucker
in front of me and any little
piddly pop shots that these goblins
are gonna take until I can get my eye on them.
Fabulous.
Awesome.
Okay.
Good job.
Very good.
Nick, sorry, what weapon is this
that you're wielding that was like
you're hitting with these 27s?
It's static.
So I get a plus 10 to hit.
It's a javelin, and it's also enchanted.
It does extra damage.
It does extra lightning damage, and then it also does extra, extra lightning damage if we're
fighting giants.
It's a javelin.
That's rad.
That's so cool.
When she uses it, when she wields it, these arcs of lightning kind of travel down her arm.
They almost seem to like kind of originate from her like center mass and then travel
out her arm into the, into the weapon, uh, when she swings it or when she throws it.
Oh, so cool.
That's got a real, it's got a vibe.
It's got a vibe.
It's got a vibe.
It's got a vibe.
No, I wouldn't take Thor, but yeah, I love it.
I love the idea of her just whipping this weapon around.
Yeah.
This is the javelin you call static.
So sick. Pretty fucking sick.
Carilla's voice is magnified over the clamor of the crowd and the battle sounds.
She paces back and forth in the host booth.
ranting as scathing commentary.
Ladies gentlemen, humanoids of all kinds,
yet surely bearing witness to some of the most outrageous
combat maneuvers of our age here in the hallet, walls of Al Hamor.
I'd say, look now as Tamil the deceiver
brings the lightning jabbling down on his hungry yet.
She has consumed the creature.
Again, I say, an outrage.
Red, from your perch up on top of this ruined,
archway, you see Tamil just exploding in these like volts of electricity as she faces down
against this opponent like one-on-one. To your north, Doran similarly is facing off against the other
Yeti. As Wim is sort of just tucked away underneath this ruined archway that you're standing
on top of, Witted's like hovering off to your left side, just sort of diagonal to where you are.
What do you do?
Red Seas, Tamil, take sort of a defensive pose that he's seen a few times.
He's watched her do this defensive flourish.
Because originally he was kind of like, oh, maybe I'll take it that Yeti, but he sort of strikes it off.
There are five goblins around me.
There are.
Three to the north, like two to the southeast.
Are any of them not completely in cover?
So you can roll to perceive all of them.
So I would do a role, please, for the Southern group, as well as a different role for the Northern group.
They're all, like, hiding.
But you can, as just a free action, see if you can find them before.
Northern group, it's a 12.
Okay.
Southern group, it's a 20.
Dirty.
You don't see any of them.
Okay.
So they're all fully in cover.
Yes.
Okay.
Additionally, I would like to know if I recognize that creature.
Can I roll maybe a nature?
You definitely can.
Yeah, give us the insight.
Mm-hmm. All right. So it's a 14.
Cool. Yeah, Red. Maybe you don't know this creature precisely, but maybe you know, like, a relative from, like, Mastika.
Like, this is, like, the snowy version of, like, a desert version that maybe you're familiar with.
It's a jetty. I love that. The hot J sound.
That's right. That's right. Oh, cousin of the jetty, a Yeti.
Definitely some Farronian explorer, like, that's a desert yetty. It's like, that's nothing like.
yeah you crazy that's nuts i would say critically important piece of information that you would kind
of discern from this 14 is that there is like an elemental component to this creature like you
know the desert version would have maybe like affinity for fire or like like dirt yetty but
this is like a snow version so anything that you want to extrapolate from that i'm going to
let you imagine that red knows but with a 14 i'm just going to say something elementally potentially
happening here okay does red know that the dirt versions have any sort of range whatsoever
dirt version um the the range is mostly this like weird like gaze that it's been directing
first at dorin and then at tamil red will just shout out keep your eyes down these guys
eyes got a mean stare.
Yeah, it's really creepy.
Give your eyes away.
Additionally, I just realized this, but
goblins are humanoid. I have
advantage to roles that track them.
Would that apply to trying to find them?
Sure, yeah. Why not? So I'm just going to roll one more
die for each group if that's okay. Please do.
The top ends up being
a dirty 20. Yeah.
And the bottom group ends up being
a, well, lower than a 20 that I rolled.
So I still don't see any?
The top group of three, you can perceive now.
I would say they're probably in half cover still, just to give a bonus, but you can definitely target them, no problem.
Excellent.
Because with my sharpshooter ability, I ignore half cover.
Fuck me then.
So I am going to fire at one.
Red just stares at, like, one.
He just zeroes in staring at these sort of movements to the north.
I love it.
He's got his bow drawn ready to go.
And the minute he sees just a little shoulder of green.
pop out, he fires.
Fabulous.
Beautiful.
Ooh, a dirty 20 to hit.
Yeah, you do.
Excellent.
This will be the one to the northeast.
24 damage.
Yeah, red.
What does it look like when you just entirely pick off this goblin?
The arrow catches it on its shoulder and makes the goblin do a full 360 spinning in the sand.
And as the cloud of dust settles, you just see the body decimated.
A spray of goblin blood just across the sand.
Sand.
And Red will fire again directly to the north of him at the other one in half cover.
With a natural one.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
I am going to shame this die.
Oh.
It's been a while.
It's been a minute.
Finally.
Shame, shame, shame, shame.
Shame, shame.
Shame, shame.
Shame.
Shame.
Shame.
Shame.
Drops.
Done.
Fuck out of here, die.
Uh, yeah.
Finally, that feels so good.
shaming a die right now and then.
The goblin hears the scream of its companion just to the east
and is alerted to your attack and manages to just kind of dodge right out of the way
as the arrows zips by just mere inches over its head.
Good.
And Red will just holler out to Doran to the north
and sort of do his best to describe where the other two aren't hiding.
Like one sort of on the east side of the rock to your north and one directly across.
Trying to give him maybe a bit of an aid if he tries to perceive.
Mm-hmm.
Very cool.
Doren, sort of looking into the gaze of this creature,
looks over his shoulder back here, red.
I'm not so much worried about the goblins over there.
I'm worried about this creepy fella.
Keep your eyes closed.
And that's my turn.
The portcala's that you had entered the arena from
had closed behind you when you arrived.
And now it begins to creak open once more.
I'm picturing a scene where there are like these underlings, these like these men with chains that emerge from the shadows and they're like dragging a creature and you hear like a draconic scream through many throats as dragged out into the cloudy gray light of the arena.
The mammoth serpentine body of a hydra is revealed.
A hydra.
This is something that you have all heard of from legends.
Unmistakable with its five heads atop these long serpentine necks.
And these heads are all being pulled by these handlers into the ring.
one of the heads like snaps back
and the chain is like whipped up into the air
as the handler holding on for dear life
just gets like snapped out of midair by one of the heads
and like another head grabs the legs
and like rips the handler apart in front of your eyes
and gorgeous, like that's lying down.
Wow.
At least it just eight.
A hydra?
I've always wanted to fight a hydra.
Good.
The hydra moves forward.
forward into the arena and then get stage fright because of all the people.
Yeah, yeah, there's too many eyes on him.
Runs back into the tunnel.
Make it roll performance check.
He shrinks back into the corner.
I got to say, I only think I was 20 feet in the air and I know that that's not enough high to be.
Oh, man.
That's called bite distance.
That's within bite distance.
Yeah, the Hydra charges up into the arena, dragging its handlers behind it on the chains.
Most of them let go and sort of scurry off to the safety of the stands and the portcullis like drops and lowers behind it.
As it charges out, it sees almost on a platter, this Tabaxi standing above the arena.
It's very clear who it wants to bite first.
Bring it on.
And then, like, gorgeously arrayed to the left and right.
We have, like, a floating gnome and a really tasty-looking human sorcerer.
So the Hydra is going to have its choice of targets.
Very exciting day for the Hydra.
They're just thinking, oh, sharkutery.
Yeah, exactly.
I was going to say, I love a buffet.
Totally.
I'm going to make five bite attacks.
Woof.
The first two are going to go off against Witted.
How do we feel about a 19 or a 17 to hit you?
Okay.
Prefer lower, if you'd be honest.
Going to be close.
Ideally, if you said two and three.
No, okay.
With my armor class of 22, I will be blocking both of those attacks.
I feel like knocking one back.
But then the other, he's just chewing on the armor,
and I'm barely holding on against that 19.
There's like a terrible sound of these sharp teeth against the iron shoulders.
It's like trying to work its way through.
Nice.
Defensive protocols.
The next two attacks against Red.
Bring it on.
A 20 hit you.
A 20 does hit me.
Okay.
Red, you take 10 piercing damage as this hydrant bites into your leg.
And the second attack is only.
Only a 15.
Damn it.
No, it doesn't hit.
Why couldn't have those been reversed?
I have multi-attack defense.
So my AC would have jumped by four after the first attack,
which means I would have missed it if those were reversed numbers.
Stupid Hydro.
She knew that.
The Hydro?
Yeah, the Hydro is like wading and then the other head struck.
And like, yeah, they're like, it's like Colbol.
Let's just check their player character cheat again.
With a 12, the final head misses Wim as it tries to attack her,
and she just kind of like somersaults out of the way really quickly.
Nice.
Get out of here, Wim.
Get some distance.
That's the Hydra turn.
Welcome to the Arena Hydra.
Dang.
Very excited about this.
Welcome Hydra.
Bo, Hydra that's taking swings at Wim.
We've brought you goblins.
We've brought you big, ugly, white, hairy beast.
Let's welcome Hydra.
I think Tamil is genuinely flattered.
by the fact that Carilla
has brought in a whole
hydra, a whole ass hydra
just to fight her and her friends.
I think that she's like, okay, well.
We saw this damn fight and it was a fucking gnome
against a fucking bald human. What the hell's
going on? Yes, we certainly seem
to have made an impression.
Keep your wits about you.
Doran, stop drinking your wine skin.
Witted, it is your turn.
You saw Witted, like, doing some
calculations very heroically, like,
like he was going to turn to the north and like help on the other front now that like they
dealt with some of the goblins to the south the moment the hydra entered the battlefield
he turned and realized that he had indeed miscalculated a hydra she shouldn't have she shouldn't
have had access to a weird how did she and like sees you didn't have all the variables accounted
for exactly he's like I thought I accounted for trade routes and like seasonal uh growth cycles
of Hydra's in my calculations, but clearly, and not only is the Hydra reflected in the visor,
I feel like he turns, and it's Carilla, who is reflected in his visor and her laughing face,
and he thinks to himself, I had no idea she hated them this much, and turns back just in time
to see, like, the Hydra heads coming for him.
He's like, Iron Man, like, trapped by this big Kaiju monster, and his reaction as he's
breaking free is, as
he's calculating a new route,
first to just start
punching, it seems. And it looks
like initially a very just desperate
move. He's taking the
armored fists, but as
he's rearing up even for that first
punch, like a sort of
sparkler going off. There's a
snap, and then another snap,
and suddenly there's all this
lightning coming off
and a sort of like
wall, wom womom, womom,
shield of.
of thunder damage that he's going to punch twice
against this creature.
Nice. Awesome.
Hell yes. Wow.
Thunder gauntlets, they are my main weapon
and they are part of my arms.
I get to attack twice with them.
Oh, right. This will be a 24
against the hydrant. Yeah, that'll hit.
That does it.
Something's so fun about a little guy with big fists.
I mean, I know that they're on Bessie, but like...
And as like the thunder comes on,
seems like magically the fists have gotten bigger like a little bit of pop-eye energy going on as
he's like and and I don't think it's a one-two punch either right now because he's caught up a little bit
it's just a boom and a boom with the same fist this 24 will be a hit for 10 points of thunder
damage all right and then the second fist will be another 24 oh amazing and that will be a total of
eight damage. Unfortunately, I sort of just
scratch on that second attack
and it's a little bit of a whiff, but
my minimum damage is eight.
Excellent. Well done.
Amazing. Every little bit counts.
And then just before my turn
ends after my action,
I kind of did the fists
because I'm going to be doing a bonus
action spell.
Yes. It's one
of the best spells I have
and I pull it up at the beginning
of the session just to be like, what is
spell do again? And I thought, oh, I won't need this unless there's an emergency. But I read the
spell just in case, and now I need it. It's a hydraper. It's a hydra. Exactly. I need this
spell. And it's the perfect spell right now. Witted starts shouting. And as he's punching
with one arm, with his other arm, he's trying to reach over himself and press a big red button
on the inside of his suit. And he's going, come on, come on. Emergency Rock.
Rockets, activate, yes, voice protocol approval.
And all these little, like, voices and messages are saying, like, we haven't fully tested this.
This is a new prototype.
This is not fully testing.
He's like, approve, approve.
Emergency jets override now.
And suddenly these rocket boots, just as a bonus action, so it's like the last bit of his turn,
activate and shoot outward.
This spell is called a Shardillon Stride.
It is a third level spell.
and it I had to look this up because I could not remember what this did
a charlatan's like a famous dragon so it's like you get billowy flames of a dragon
blasting from your feet granting you explosive speed for the duration your speed
increases by 20 and when you move within five feet of a creature or an object that
isn't being worn or carried it takes one D6 fire damage from your trail of heat
a creature or object can take this damage only once per turn yes so I will
be hitting this Hydra for 1D6 damage as I then
jettison myself like,
Biu, away from this Hydra as quickly as I can.
Oh, hell yeah.
Fabulous.
Wow, what a great.
And moving doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
That's a badass.
Look at you.
That's about the best spell you could have picked.
All right, how much fire damage am I taking?
Just 1D6, so it's just a little splash at two points of fire damage
against the Hydra, as I, in a rather cowardly way, do,
like zoom away, but I think I only move like 40 feet away so I can zoom back.
Am I cowardly to reposition?
I don't think it's cowardly, yeah.
Yeah.
I love it.
Yeah, we're not meant to stand in one place on a battlefield.
Never weakness.
Great job.
I'm burning through spell slots.
I'll say that.
You see like the power levels inside of his suit going down, but that'll be my turn.
The alternator's running hot.
It's like a power back up, power back up.
Fuck, yeah, good turn, Tim.
Yeah, well done.
Nice.
Dorin, you are up.
I'm within a couple feet of this gangly monster.
I think Doran's going to...
You are right up against him, yeah.
Yeah, so I've gotten right up close to him,
and I think what I'm going to do,
I've been looking at my maneuvers more often,
and what I'm going to do is a normal attack roll,
and we're going to see how this turns out
because I've got some backups here,
which I just realized.
So first attack is going to be a 29 to hit.
Yeah, absolutely.
Perfect. So 12.
points of slashing damage.
Mm-hmm.
And then I'm going to use my great weapons masterfeet for this one.
21.
Yes, 21 hits.
33 slashing damage.
There you go.
Doren, what does it look like when you best this Yeti?
Yes.
Dorn, like, brings the blade across the yet his shoulder.
And he sees the soak of blood,
touch the white hairs of this beast,
as it kind of gives this eerie, creepy gaze
that's just really actually been haunting Dorn
for his last few turns,
and he brings his axe back up with sort of an upset fury
and just lobs the head off of the monster.
Yeah, it's terrible visage, like rolls from its shoulders,
and it's like lying on the sand in front of you.
I love the idea that the head, like, lands behind the rock
to the north where the goblins are.
It just rolled in like they see the head
And they're like
And it's huge body
Falls to the ground in front of you Dorian
And they have to roll dexterity
The head of the Yeti takes them out
Once again
The cover of like a dragon magazine
Right there
The dwarf just taking off the Yeti's head
So to finish off my turn
I think
You got 25 feet
You'd be between both of them
and I think you got like a 360 attack, don't you?
He also has a mobility feat.
I'm not sure.
That's what I mean.
So mobility will let him move 25 feet, so he'll get right between those two goblins.
Yeah, I think I'll end my turn off.
I don't know.
What do you guys think?
Take a vote.
Should I be out near the goblins or should I be down near the hydra?
My vote's goblins.
I think Timil's distracted and would have no opinion.
If you're kind of looking up like,
and I would actually see you there, I'd be like two around the rock,
almost like I'm encouraging you to go there.
And I, because I think, if anything, I feel like I'm telling you like, yeah, go there, deal with them and be further away from the hydra.
So we can kind of like, he's going to like try to pu-poo this guy from further away.
Yes.
So the looks from Witted and then the assessment that Doran makes of what's going on with the hydra and the other beast, he decides to go north to the goblins.
Yeah.
Nice, nice.
Excellent.
Good job, Doren.
It's the Yeti's turn to the south.
that is being staticked by Temeel,
harried by the javelin's power,
it casts an evil glare up over Trial's shoulder at Red,
who is standing on top of this archway.
Red, I need you to make a constitution's saving throw
against this creature's gaze effect.
So, okay, if Red knew that the gaze was dangerous,
and he sort of warned the others to averture.
hurt their eyes.
You are being targeted by the Yeti.
It targets one creature it can see.
Okay.
It's not a looking thing.
Yes, that's right.
What am I ruling?
Sorry?
A Constitution saving throw, please.
I'm going to use my inspiration.
I don't want to whiff this.
Constitution.
16?
You save.
Oh, my God.
So all you get is like a yucky glare.
Fuck you, Yetty.
The jetty is a scarier.
Dejectedly, the Yeti then swipes twice at Temeel reproachfully with a 16 and a natural one.
Oh, my God.
Timil, does a 16 hate you?
No, my armor class is currently 27.
Be beautiful.
Yeah.
Cunk.
It breaks.
Nick said with a straight face.
Your expression's hilarious right now.
You're like, no, it's 27.
Yeah, only a natural 20 would have hit you in this instance.
So you're doing pretty fine.
So this Yeti, like, having failed to impress Red with its terrible glare,
just rears back and tries to pin to meal down to the sand and, like, savage her,
but you're just too fast, and it fails to connect.
My poor Yeti.
Poor Yeti.
It's not his day.
Really?
Doran, as the two goblins see you coming around the corner of the rock, they turn their attention to you.
One of them moves up closer into your space and the other one heaves its scimitar back and both of them try to slash out at you with their weapons.
What say you?
A 10 and a 20, I believe both of those miss you.
They do. Both miss.
Excellent.
And unfortunately for this first goblin to the.
north he uh swings and misses and i use my repost fabulous repost be a 13 points of damage yeah you
kill the goblin nice yeah doran you just that's all i was looking for you just that's all i
wanted guys i'm being super reasonable guys i just wanted to kill the goblin you cut it in half like
starting at the space between the neck and the shoulder and like diagonally just shearing through
leather armor, weapons, everything.
Oh, he won't come back from that.
I think Doren's like playing it up too.
He's kind of looking around the crowd almost as if this is like mopping something up.
He's like, I've got to do this before I can get to the hydra.
You know, he's sort of given this ask that he's way too, this is way too easy for him.
The crowd roars in excitement and bloodthirst.
Up in her stand, Carilla casts back and forth, absorbing the changing.
energy from her patrons trying to change tactics.
Ah, yes, how exciting.
Doran Ironfist, a minor celebrity to be sure lands a heavy blow.
Is the tide of battle shifting?
Could these desperate underdogs possibly stand a chance against the muscular monsters
of the door?
Seeing the demise of its companion or, I guess, a coworker, the other goblin that missed you,
seeing the demise of his lover,
The other goblin that was just beside you who missed attacking you
will take the disengage bonus action
and runs across the arena to get some cover underneath this pillar that's fallen down.
So it's like hiding underneath the pillar.
Not officially taking the hide action, but gaining some cover.
It's Wim's turn.
Wim has got these six meteors.
hovering around her head and they're making this like buzzing humming sound as a bonus action
she is going to expend two of these meteors and streak them towards the hydra head that it
closes to her um that's like snapping at her as she's like rolling around in the sand these
meteor just like explodes against the hydra i think tamil kind of sees whim
winding up with these meteors, and she's seen something like it before,
maybe not exactly, like exactly how Wim does it,
but remembering from a previous encounter that they might,
that her meteors might explode a little,
I think that she would wave her arms and she might shout, she might shout.
Wim, if those have an area of effect,
I wonder if you might be able to shoot them at those two little fuckers
hanging out behind that rock.
I can't really see them right now.
Yeah.
I mean, it's,
Just towards a point that she chooses and not a creature that I choose.
So there's no issue with her just targeting a space behind cover.
Like, because if it hits a surface, right, which the rock could potentially be a surface.
Yeah, okay.
You don't have to if you don't want to.
Just a thought.
We'll kill them eventually, I'm sure.
Yeah.
So through the snapping jaws of the Hydra, Wim catches sight of Temeel across the battlefield,
giving her these directions.
And as these meteors are like whizzing around her head,
She nods at you once and then points with a strong arm back towards this rocky outcropping on the southeastern side of the Coliseum.
You watch as this meteor just like whizzes around her head and then flies across the battlefield.
It travels like almost 60 feet and then it hits the sand and it almost like nothing happens for a second.
And then you just hear this like boom!
And it explodes.
Both of these goblins.
Yeah.
We hear the Will X scream, which is a Wilhelm scream that Alex did forever ago.
I have like a stock, Alex version of a Wilhelm scream.
That's amazing.
Oh, beautiful.
We got a nine and an eight for our dexterity saves.
Nice.
And they each take two D6 fire damage.
Oh, come on.
It's like going to a goblin.
birthday party
I went to one once
it didn't end well
I killed my wife
oh yeah
and then
slaughter the ball
after that
you hear that explosion
you don't hear anything else
ever again
from those goblins
nice good call to me
oh thanks win
well done winnie
it was like a splash of blood
from behind the rock
yeah yeah split
with a 12
the hydra also fails
Hydra.
Hydra.
Hydra, no.
There's some little girl in the crowd
that's like cheering for the hydra.
She's got a little hat on
that's like it's like the top of a hydra head
and then she's got like two little heads
hanging off the sides.
She's eating a hydra suckle.
Yeah, yeah.
Hydrocycle.
We were like that that was suspicious
all the hydracicles for sale.
Yeah.
We should have seen this coming again in fairness.
Yeah.
Hydra weak, it says, all over the stands.
That's good.
Two for one, Hydra fights.
The Hydra takes 10 more fire damage, and with that, its head like withers up and falls off one of the heads.
Nice.
So it's got four snapping heads, but the one has withered up and fallen off like a dead head.
Wait, this is a five-dra?
I thought it was a three-dra.
I missed that.
Me too.
It's not a tri-dra.
Yeah.
It's a five-headed high-tailed.
We did it calculated for a tie-dra, the top.
This is a high-five dra.
That's good.
Not a high-five-dra.
No.
I've heard of these.
They're nasty.
We got its thumb out.
Up in the stands, there's like this cheer of people going on that are screaming,
Hydra, Lodra, really glad we know Jha.
Nice.
They've been rehearsing this all week.
They're not wearing shirts and they're holding up posters that say Hydra.
They have Hydra-related sheds.
Although, to be fair, I think the crowd is pretty clearly on the Hydra's team right now.
For now, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
We're the heel.
So that was her bonus action.
Nice.
Wim is now going to just disappears in a cloud of sand that is.
like blown up all around her and with that
like a huge boom sound reverberates and she
directs this energy towards
the Hydra making a constitution saving throw
couldn't have taken me with you. Pretty constituted. A 14
nice. That's not going to do it.
Yes.
Eat it, Hydra.
This thunder can be heard from up to 300 feet away. It's pretty
fricking loud.
The hydra takes 25 thunder damage.
Nice.
Wim starts her own version of the wave in the audience.
And as that happens, another head like seizes up and like falls off the hydra body.
I'm suddenly getting a much sadder picture here.
This poor hydra.
This is like a zoo held hydra that was like in the basement.
It's like old and withered.
They've got hot spots.
Like pale flesh.
Born in captivity.
It clearly doesn't want to be here, but it's just being told to.
Yeah. Abused.
Join us.
Join us.
Someone's crying over this thing.
Eat your master carula and we'll free you.
Wim reappears in a space fucking as far away as she can get from this creature.
Smort.
Wim reappears under the shadowy rim of the seats of the Coliseum, way off to the east.
side. She's a spec
relative
to everyone else's positions.
Not that far, but she's far enough away
that she can hopefully have
some vestige of safety for the next
round or so.
As the
final monster enters
the arena.
That's right.
About time.
Behind you.
A Severnra.
More and more heads.
The rest of the hydra
The rest of the hydra
Bucke
All ten of them
It's another hydra
It's a baker's hydra

Have a great one
And see you around the battlefield
The portcullis that you had entered the arena
From
Had closed behind you
When you arrived
And now it begins to creak open once more
Someone stop it
We're not ready yet
What's this bird sitting here?
Fireball!
We're not ready actually, Joe, can you
Hold them off?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, it's funny because when a DM is like trying to do like a big dramatic opening or like, or like a villain monologue to me as like the player's mentality, it's like, well, if you're describing this big long thing, I should be able to interrupt you, right?
Joe, the minute you said portcullis, I was like, no, like, no.
I was like, surely we sealed all those by now. It's like, no.
