That looks like a giant salamander of some sort.
Exactly.
Another stupid-looking monster.
Kill him.
I'm risking this for you, Doran.
I mean, there's this.
Why the muscle of Mord?
I'm going to try to make this a little easier if I can.
No, I don't hear anything, really.
You better make it to safety before a ride.
Oh, right.
Just the most shading grin.
Fuck yeah, buddy!
What are you talking about, Dorn?
Come on, Doren.
A 14.
Does not hit.
And a critical hit.
All right, well, I'm going to go ahead and
still rebarves that critical hit.
Ah!
Let's go.
Welcome back to Dishame.
This is Season 2, episode 166, half the battle.
MVP this week is the Brousader from the Discord.
The Broussader says,
just wanted to send some positive vibes.
I've been to 137 episodes in two weeks and can't wait to catch up.
I'm loving every minute of the show.
However, I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of folding boat usage.
What? I've used it a ton.
Thanks so much, The Broussader.
You are this week's MVP.
All right. Should we do this?
Yeah, let's play some dungeons and dragons.
Woo!
enters the arena.
Behind you, Doran, as you wipe Ork Splitter's blood off of the blade and hefter, you turn
to see a monster unlike you have ever seen before.
What?
This is a long-bodied, huge creature.
It has got blue, mottled skin and powerful.
limbs, all six of them with a lashing long tail. It's got like a strangely stupid expression on its
face, like these pale blue pupil-less eyes looking out at you just hunting for food and a wide
mouth full of these beak-like teeth, almost like tortoise-like or maybe amphibian. It's a scary
fucking creature and it is right up
on you. It opens its huge mouth and in a hiss
of dry ice almost
exhales this chill wind in a cone
that is far, far bigger than necessary to
envelop a single dwarf. However, this creature may be interested
in a little bit of overkill. Make a very
important constitution saving through a door.
Come on Doran.
Here we go.
Known constituter.
That is going to be a 15.
Not that great.
You got lucky.
You haven't said the result yet.
That's right.
This usually doesn't work out my favorite.
I have two luck points left.
Let's see what this tap.
What happens?
15.
Let's stick with it.
Are you sure?
When Joe says a very important,
you know it means it would be very bad.
As this chill wind flows all.
around you. You feel your joints, your bones, your flesh seize and freeze and split open all over your body. Your beard is caked in frost and it climbs up to your face. You feel ice crystals inside your mouth going down into your lungs. You take 50 cold damage.
Oh. Yeah. Jesus Christ.
50. I mean, yeah. By the muscle of Morden.
Mm-hmm.
A muscle?
50.
I like it.
Welcome to the arena frost salamander.
Holy crap.
Frost salamander?
Don't Google it.
You're not allowed.
Yeah.
Not until we're done the game.
I guess we know what a salamander would say.
I mean, it looks like a cold guy.
That looks like a giant salamander of some sort.
Couldn't just be a frost salamander.
Another stupid looking monster.
This one hurts a lot more.
Top of the round, Temeel.
I think Temeel's going to send a quick message over to
Red. Hey Redd.
Hey, buddy! You can hear her kind of, even in her
message, you can hear
efforts being made.
Hey Red, I was wondering how you're
didn't you say you had like an arrow
that charms things? How does
that work exactly? Yeah,
which one are you thinking?
I mean, either of these big boys, this
Yeti I think might be down hopefully soon
but if we could get
one of these other things on our side
it could go a long way to, yeah.
Look, charming is risky, but
I could take a shot at the one to the north
and banishing it for one round.
That'll give Doran some time to get the hell out of there.
That's what I'm thinking, at least.
Right.
Okay, I'm going to try to make this a little easier if I can.
Tamil starts whispering under her breath,
and you see this, again, this dark smoke
kind of like falling out of her mouth
and racing faster than you've ever seen to go
towards this salamander.
Maybe she's even saying something like,
you are never as strong as your fire, brethren.
And I'm going to hex the,
the frost salamander and choose charisma as the ability that it has
disadvantaged on.
Nice.
Great call.
Great call.
Okay.
And then turning her attention back to this Yeti, I'm going to use green flame blade,
which allows me to make just a regular weapon attack to any creature within melee range.
And then it'll do some extra damage.
So the first thing I'm going to do is just the regular kind of static.
Does a 17 hit the Yeti?
It does.
Great.
so he's going to take 12 damage and then from the the tip of static this green flame starts to kind of like shoot out almost like a sprinkler and he's going to take just one fire damage but I'm wondering if this thing reacts at all to fire damage yeah as this flame
ignites a patch of snowy white fur you see its terrifying visage royal with a look of panic you can
you can tell despite this being like a monstrosity like the feeling of fear is present and it
starts to breathe faster as it like tries to brush out this this flame on its shoulder
you've frightened it.
Ooh, like mechanically frightened?
Yeah.
Oh, fun.
Not like official fear, but there is a mechanic that is in play here now that fire damage has been applied.
All right.
Way to go to Meal.
Yeah, so she will, I think then staying within the Yeti's threat radius, she's just going to reposition kind of to the south of the Yeti to give herself not cover, but just a little bit more distance between her.
and this hydra without provoking an attack of opportunity.
And that's my turn.
Fabulous. Good job. Red.
Red locks eyes on the giant creature to the north that is frozen Doran to its core.
And with fear, Red says, Doran.
And he loses an arrow that is directly aimed at the creature.
That is a 21?
Yeah, you hit.
And can it make me a charisma saving throw, please?
With disadvantage.
With disadvantage.
Disadventage.
I will make a charisma saving throw.
How do we like a three?
Ooh.
Well done on the double team.
As Red reaches into his quill, an arrow appears in his hand.
It is green with almost like ivy growing over it.
It's a fay wild looking arrow, and he fires it, and it sinks directly into the creature,
and instantaneously it just disappears from existence.
Thanks to Tamil's help, Red turns around, nods to her, draws a second arrow and
aims it at the Yeti, locking eyes with her to be like, you want me to take this thing or
you want cover from the Hydra?
No, she'll nod.
Or you'll see like a thumbs up come from behind the Yeti.
Kill him.
And Red will fire at the Yeti.
Great.
Oh, yeah.
21 to hit.
Yes.
21.
This is not a humanoid.
No.
Does your Colossus Slayer still apply regardless of it?
It absolutely does.
And I'm rolling her.
right now.
Fabulous.
Yes.
24 damage.
Yeah.
As the Yety is like turning around to deal with a fire on its fur and sort of trying to
track the threat as Timil repositions herself around to its rear, its awareness of the rest of
the battlefield momentarily lapses and red.
As you note that, you take the perfect shot, lancing your arrow directly through its spinal
It spasms once and falls over heavily into the dust.
Then Red climbs down from his perch, which I'm going to say is about 10 feet.
You are going to take some opportunity attack.
Oh.
Yes.
Okay, hold on.
Let me think.
And I'm just going to give you a hydra fact.
They're going to be equivalent to the number of heads that are currently active.
Red looks around for a bit of shadow.
Hell yes.
And it looks like half this place is in shadow.
Yes, correct.
There's like a crescent of shadow underneath, like the stands as the sun is not quite up.
Red disappeared.
He slips through the shadows.
Using his shadow stepability, I exploit the shadows and teleport 60 feet away to the unoccupied space that the creature I
banished previously was.
Is this an ability that your armor granted you?
Yes.
And it's once per day, right?
It is once per short rest.
Oh.
And with the final dregs of his turn, Redd opens his bag of holding and just gestures to
Doran and says, grab the potion of cold resistance.
You're going to need it a lot more than me.
So smart.
I know it's an action to give it to him, but like I want to like tell him about it.
So smart.
Cool.
Good.
job. You are up in the business with where this creature will be reappearing very shortly.
It will reappear at the end of its turn.
Correct.
So yes. But I'm hoping Doran can provoke the attack of opportunity or do something to give me some
fabulous.
Because I'm risking. I'm risking this for you, Doran. Take this fucking thing.
I feel like, well, first of all, good turn, Reds.
Yeah. I feel like this hydra has now like bewildered, rid.
of its three juicy snacks that it was just about to eat.
It turns to the next most convenient snack, which is our friend, Tamele.
Hello.
The three heads on the end of these long necks, all sort of pivot looking around the battlefield,
and then all of them come and rest on you, Temeel.
And it makes its way quickly across the battlefield towards you, surprisingly quickly.
for its heft.
We are going to be moving.
Oh, yeah, we got lots of space.
So much space.
For activities.
It's tail thrashing the ground behind it.
This hydra stalks you, Temeol.
And as it approaches, the three heads each lash out at you with a savage bite.
Bring it on.
So that's a dirty 20.
Does not hit.
A 14.
Does not hit.
and a critical hit.
All right, well, I'm going to go ahead and silvery barbs that critical hit.
Ah!
All right, tell me about silvery barbs again.
Maggally distract the triggering creature and turn its momentary uncertainty into encouragement for another creature.
The triggering creature must re-roll the D20 and use the lower roll.
Once you impose disadvantage on the triggering creature, you can then choose a different creature you can see within range.
And I can choose myself if I so clean.
You don't want to choose the frost salamander, though.
No, not the salamander.
The Chosen Creature has advantage on the next attack roll, ability check, or saving
throw it makes within a minute.
Wow.
That's so, oh, not OPE, that's so good.
Yes.
So we're doing a silvery barbs, definitely for sure, on this guy.
21, it turns into.
21 is my AC.
I've just used my reaction to counteract the critical, so he hits.
But the damage dice won't be doubled because of a critical hit.
Yeah, so I think this is still okay.
You, like, halve the damage.
Yep. You take nine piercing damage, Temeel, as one of these heads.
Not too bad.
It doesn't even make it through my temp HP.
Fabulous. I love that. Silvery barbs. What does it look like when you do the silvery barbs?
Tamil's silvery barbs looks different just based on when she's casting it. It's more of like a vibe that then has an effect.
And in this moment, I think that she makes eye kind of.
and maintains it with this Hydra head.
And then she just spits onto the ground.
And the saliva, the little ball of saliva that hits the ground,
in only the Hydra's eyes, just becomes this explosive blast of light.
And it is distracted and it's thrown off of its game.
And then she looks up at Corrilla and she gives just the most shating grin.
and winks at her.
Amazing.
Nice.
Wonderful.
Next up.
I love it.
Witted.
Witted with his rocket boots
propelling his otherwise like hover boots
kind of even further.
He's able to shoot and those kind of like speed runes that gave him long strider that
he had activated.
His speed is now 60 feet so he can race downward,
arcing toward a landing right next to Tamil.
You kind of see from inside his vimele.
He seems to have done some sort of calculation that triangulates his position with the hydra with where there's the empty air that the frost salamander is not currently occupying.
And I'm wondering if I land right there just south of the hydra, is there any way that I can like thread the needle of the ruins there and see where the frost salamander would be about 100 feet to the north, like if it were back?
Yeah. I mean, it's not there right now, but it's a big creature. You can definitely spot, like, through the stomping legs of the hydra, through this arch of the ruined masonry, a spot beside where Doran and Red are standing off in the distance where you know very soon there will be a terrible monster.
Absolutely. Kind of springing off the ground just to make sure I'm lining this up, like, dead center at the hydra.
But you also see, like, his targeting visor sort of lining up with something just behind it that he is calculated the location of.
He starts charging up his other arm, which instead of thunder damage is all lightning damage.
And you see the batteries inside, like, power levels reaching critical, power levels reaching critical.
And he's like, it's now or never.
And he's readying a lightning bolt spell, but not firing it yet.
Okay.
And what's what's going to be your, like, trigger when it reappears?
The trigger will be the instant the Frost Salamander reappears right there.
Fuck, that's good.
It'll be just within range of both creatures.
I love.
I love that.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I needed this exact angle because those ruins seem to have like an archway.
And I'm, like, lining this up, threading the needle right through that archway.
It's extremely satisfying to draw a line through the math.
Exactly.
It lines up so well.
I feel like the Jarvis computer was kind of like, I mean, there's this.
And he's like, whoa, yeah.
Enter, correct.
Like, that's a great position to be in.
I'm going to take a screenshot of this.
So when the episode goes live, I can post it in the chat.
It's a very satisfying 100 foot line.
Considering I thought it was 120.
I thought I had leeway.
I'm like, ooh, this is tight.
I'm just pulling this on.
Hell yes.
Um, lovely. Doran, it's your turn. Red's right beside you. And there was until just very recently, a terrifying monster right beside you as well. What do you do?
Take the cold resistance potion, Doran. It's right here.
Yeah, absolutely. Thanks. And he reaches in and retrieves the potion.
You better make it to safety before, uh, don't you worry about me, buddy. You just warm up and red sort of like patch in the shoulder.
You can see there's like worry in his eyes. Okay.
So Doran's going to use his action, I guess, to drink the potion. Um, would it make sense to get in a bit?
better position or should I just stay right here?
Can you take another hit like that?
I could take one more.
Now you could because you have resistance to cold.
Oh, that's true.
Okay.
So that would be like 20.
You have your second wind as well.
Don't use that a bonus?
Yep.
Yep.
It is.
Yeah.
In fact.
So I think I'm okay.
I think I'll heal.
Second wind lets you heal.
It does.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I think what I'll do is yeah, I'll use that as my action and I will stand my ground
waiting for this thing to come back.
And during sort of, you can see.
see the color come back to his face.
He kind of pats you on the shoulder.
He says, okay, you get some cover now.
All right.
Thanks for thinking of me.
Sorry, and you are using your second win, right?
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
That's going to be 18 points healing.
Nice.
Nicely done.
I'm back up to 72.
72.
Nice.
Okay, yeah, that's a good number.
That's where Red's at.
All right, buddy, you take, you be careful.
Yeah, take this fuck it down.
We've got this.
And look at the crowds, Red, look at the crowds.
towards sort of like you know
I think there's actually like a real
adrenaline excitement about having
everybody watch as opposed to
you know there's some glory here
as opposed to just being on a battlefield
yeah but but they're so quiet
for the sound if like for the sound like
there's no cheering
there's not many crowds at all
there's actually one guy off in the back
that's like heckling you
no I don't hear anything really
it's almost like
it's almost like artistically quiet
like I enjoy that they're letting
the action play out without the sound of it.
Because I hear distinct voices that had been recorded in the
There's a big sign that Carilla's holding up that says silence, please.
Yes.
Silence while the monsters are working.
Silence for the FISC.
They're all thinking.
Don't spook to the hydra.
That's right.
Why are they all saying rhubarb?
Cool.
Doran, that's you.
It is the final goblin's turn from his.
Cowardly position.
I forgot about that guy.
He steps out and kills everybody.
He's got a bomb.
He's going to take a pot shot at Wim.
You,
Motherfucker.
Yeah, he's not a very nice guy, as it turns out.
He will try to hit her with his short bow.
That is a 14 to hit against Wim's 17 AC, so that fails.
All it does really is, oh, he's going to hide as a bonus action.
Why would he not?
that's a fucking bullshit hide roll though
10
all that really happened with his attack
the arrow oh she sees him so good with a natural 20
oh my gosh directs her attention
straight towards him
and the goblin needs to make a
dexterity saving throw as
she hurls her fiery retribution
yeah she
ruins his whole day
by way of killing him, with her meteors.
Explodes his whole existence, limbs, flying everywhere.
Whimslings her second meteor towards the hydra,
who needs to make a dexterity saving throw in order to avoid it.
With an 11, absolutely remains in the firing range and takes.
Wimslings.
Good old-fashioned.
Wimsling. And takes eight fire damage. So this meteor explodes. It's not a direct hit. It's
kind of like right at the Hydra's back end and tail. But Temeel and Witted, both of you see like
pain and it howls and agony as the fire lances up its body. Then sort of seeing the trouble
that Red and Doran are going to be in shortly, Wim picks up her cloak and begins to hustle over towards where
this enemy is going to reappear very shortly, she is going to make her way towards cover
behind these columns, but making her way a lot closer towards the Frost Salamander, where it's
going to reappear. Speaking of which, the salamander apparates in front of Doran and Red,
and as it does, it like shakes off this sluice.
of like white fluid that covers it from head to toe.
Whatever plane of existence it had been banished to,
it was like covered in this like slick, like viscous fluid.
And it just like shakes it off.
And then as it does, mayonnaise plane.
It probably gets lanced by lightning, right?
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
He shakes his head.
and it says ectoplasm, that's bad interplatter hygiene right there.
Uh-oh.
And absolutely unleashes a 30 lightning damage lightning bolt that will pierce through the hydra and burst out of it and go right for the frost salamander.
Um, am I making a saving throw or what's the vibe here?
Yes, dexterity saving throw for both of those creatures.
If they can beat my D.C., they'll only get 15 or higher.
All right.
Frost Salamander hits with an 11, and the Hydra gets a 17.
17 is the number he needed to get exactly, unfortunately.
All right, so I'm good.
Is it half damage?
So half damage for him, in theory, and then 30 damage to the one who failed.
Oh, right.
Tamil and Witted.
I just imagine, like, the camera on your.
faces and seeing this like blue white light just like cast these severe high contrast shadows
on your face as the pulse of lightning erupts from widd's cannon arm and shoot straight through
the hydra like this beautiful arc like gets singed all on its inside as the lightning bolt travels
through its center and then makes its way towards this like gooey.
frost salamander who takes the full brunt of it right in the chest we like see its skeleton for a
second and then regular and then we see it's skeleton for a second and then regular and it takes the full
brunt of that 30 damage as you're ready to action goes off well done it is also the end of the
frost salamander's turn so all it really has time to do is pout about how much damage it just
took before we are back at the top of the order with tamil oh my goodness
Quick question.
How is the hydra looking?
The hydra is not quite bloody mechanically.
Nice.
Oh, goodness.
Okay.
Ooh.
So we still got some work to do.
Yeah.
It's got some weight, some vitality.
It's pretty mad that it just got electrified.
It's a little mift that he got melfed.
Okay.
I think that Tamil is just seeing this eruption of lightning from Witted.
I think there is something that just,
just delights
to meal about
how well they're doing against these
massive enemies. I mean, like,
they're gargantuan. And the
crowd, the opinion of the crowd is starting
to turn a little bit. Like,
the people who at first were out
for your blood are kind of like,
fuck yeah. Like, these guys are heroes.
What are we doing? Like, this is awesome.
Yeah, but not too much reaction. People are putting down
their hydra signs and picking up signs
with, like, your face on them.
Which, like, where did you even get those?
But yeah, and the way that kind of we're all working together and, like, you know, we're like healing, you bring the healing or the cold resistance potion to Doran when he needs it.
And, you know, we do the one-two stuff.
It's just, I think that Tamil is feeling alive in a way that she hasn't since her party was taken captive, I think.
And so she is just going to, like, delight in just the sheer joy.
of this battle not the violence of it but just the strategic martial prowess you know like
working together team yeah team of it she's so excited good juju amazing juju so she's
just going to swing with static but she has like a massive wicked grin on her face
oh yeah we may be goofy motherfuckers but we're giant slayers yeah uh 18 to hit for the first swing
Yes.
That is 16 damage for the first hit.
Nice.
I'm a little on 27s today.
27 on the second hit.
All right.
Absolutely.
Yes.
And that is only 11 extra damage.
Tamil, with these two juicy hits from static, you lance, one of the hydra's heads through the eyeball, and it screams and falls off.
into the dirt and then pulling back you hit a second one straight through the mouth it screams and
blood starts pouring out and as that head shrivels up and falls off we have four like
headless necks kind of flopping around on the ground and one remaining hydra head is just
focused laser eyes on you amazing i will then go ahead and use my defensive flourish
once more
Oh my okay
I rolled an eight
So my honor class is currently
29
And then oh my God
That's amazing
We'll just sit there twirling
static and kind of like
Laughing
She almost looks a little unhinged
But you know
She might also be like
Jovialy elbowing
Witted next to her
You can high five
Whitted as a free action if you want
Oh absolutely
Absolutely high five
And, like, from the lightning, the residual lightning, there's, like, static that, like, jumps off of their hands as they collect.
Just crackles.
So Witted offers you the right hand, like the thunder hand, which is currently in gauntlet mode.
The problem is he's currently got his defensive spells running, and mirror image means he tries to high-five you, and he definitely can't get it right.
All right, red, it's your turn.
Red stands before the giant frost salamander.
Like, I imagine flakes of frost are sort of, like, encrusted.
over the white goo now as it's like sort of kind of crisping over it.
Yeah, it's regenerating. It's cold.
Red is going to disappear.
He's going to use his nature's veil and become invisible.
Disengage from his creature for free without provoking attack of opportunity.
Then I'm going to use my feline agility to move double my movement speed to essentially get
back to my position overlooking the fighting ring.
He's going to scamper back up.
to his top, and invisibly, he is going to fire with advantage at one of the two creatures.
The hydra now has one remaining head.
Correct.
And the salamander looks barely touched?
Yes.
My instincts say to finish off the hydra first.
Invisibly red spins to the south, and he aims down sights at the hydra.
That is tormenting his newfound friends.
He sees the smile on Temeel's face, and that first is worried.
It looks pained, it looks scared, and then he realizes he recognizes this smile.
This is the bloodthirsty smile that he's seen for months on his best friend, Doran.
This is one of his friends to meal, enjoying the fight just as much as himself, just as much as Doran,
just as much as little Wimmy has on her face, and he knows Witted has a smile creaking on his face as well.
And with his own equally bloodthirsty smile, he loses an arrow into the
backside of the last remaining head of the height.
Mm-hmm.
With advantage, because I'm invisible.
Nice.
18 to hit?
Yeah.
Nice.
I'm going to use my Colossus slayer.
Mm-hmm.
25 damage.
Jesus.
And Red will attack again.
Oh, my God.
So much damage.
Yeah, the arrow pierces through the thick reptilian skin at the base of its skull,
but doesn't seem to do, like, lethal damage yet.
25 to hit?
Yes.
21 damage
Nice
thick gouts of reptile
blood are pouring down its neck
but it's still snapping
ferociously at Witted Entomiel
Get them guys and red will remain
invisible until the start of his next turn
Amazing. The Hydra tries
desperately to
survive by
killing this creature that somehow
lightning bolted it?
No. Didn't like that
very much. It's only got the one
ahead. So it snaps once at
you-witted. 25
to hit you.
25 will hit me, but
I would like you to please roll
a D-20 to see if you got
me or if you got one of my
mirror images.
Hell.
18.
Okay, yes, it is one of my duplicates
who gets pop, not me.
But I'm down to two duplicates left now.
Nice. Yeah, these huge
jaws close around an illusion
and just pop.
Does the DC get higher as your duplicates diminutive?
Yes, now that there's only two duplicates is essentially a one in three chance on a D20 basically.
That's so cool.
What a cool mechanic.
It's just like kind of a frustrating thing to have to keep rolling for, but it's like different numbers every time.
I like that.
Fabulous.
That's all that the Hydra is going to do right now because it's, uh...
Sorry, buddy.
You know what, guys?
The Hydra can hold its breath for an hour, so it just decides to start holding it.
its breath throws a tantrum holds its breath yeah exactly
witted it's your turn how badly hurt is this hydra looking now i'm
it's limping along yeah i didn't expect to be dealing any final blow against this hydra but i
think that might be what i need to do here if i'm going to be able to help with that frost salamander
yeah red really brought that within range for you for sure i'm definitely low on spell slots in a
big way. So I think I am just slugging it out with the fists then in that case. Yeah, I think
that's the best move. So I'm going to immediately, almost like I'm trying to get to where I see
across the battlefield, the frost salamander leering and raising itself up against my friends. I'm
like, this thing's almost dead. I got to get through it. He leaps and is going to do one
Fist attack against the Hydra.
Does a 16 hit?
It does.
Okay.
Let's go.
And this first fist deals 10 thunder damage.
Not quite.
Okay.
Okay.
Then after one punch to the head, he's trying to do the final, like, Pacific Rim style
uppercut to this thing.
27 for, let's see, nine damage.
With eight hit points left.
Witted connects with the bottom jaw of the final Hydra head,
teeth shattering out of its jaw exploding everywhere.
Witted, what does it look like when you kill this thing?
I feel like it's not like it is an explosive blow to the final head,
but it's also like because it's one more damage than I needed,
not like I doubled it.
Like I feel like it wobble.
back and forth a lot and he's still like readying with his fist and then sees it like to go to the
left to the right and then boom kind of like the olive off right in front of me and you see the visor
flicker up and witted inside the suit is panting and moving his fists in line with the giant
thunder gauntlets and then seeing he he now has freed up his opportunity almost remembers what he's
doing and seeing that like he's now freed himself up for this opportunity exactly like he
had wanted to do, he remembers what his original task was and launches himself into the air,
trying to shoot across the battlefield as quickly as he can.
He will not quite have enough movement to reach the Frost Salamander and the others in any way.
With 60 feet of movement, though, he'll cross a good distance though.
Fuck, yeah.
Great job, Tim.
And that'll be the end of Witted's turn.
All right.
Doran, it's your turn.
You hear the rumble as this massive hydra hits the ground dead
and you know that there is one enemy left in this Coliseum
and it is standing right in front of you.
What do you do?
Doran squares up on the ice salamander,
circling it kind of and hefting his axe.
All right, you icy beast, it's you and me again.
Freeze me once.
Shame on you.
Freeze me twice.
Well, you haven't frozen me twice, but what are you talking about, Doren?
And then he attacks.
Using weapons masterfeet.
12 to hit.
No, you know what?
I'm going to use my precision.
My precision, when you make a weapon attack roll, you can expend a superior dice and add it to the roll.
It's a really good ability.
18, 26 points of damage.
Yes.
Hell yeah.
Those are the numbers we need.
And then he sort of laughs and he's getting into it.
He can hear his friends kind of overcoming the hydra just south of him.
And that's, he kind of peers over his shoulder.
Orksplitters egging you on.
Yes, Doran.
Yeah, but he, you know, Doran, he looks back and he sees Red up perched on top of this, this thing.
And he says, Red, why don't you take one of those beautiful shots?
of yours.
And he's going to use
Commander's strike.
Sick.
Red is invisible,
but the spirit is there
and Red will,
from direction you don't realize
he is, he shouts back,
fuck yeah, buddy!
And I will take a shot.
It's more badass
because he doesn't know where you are.
It's like the,
like, calling in, like, yeah.
So close to a natural 20.
Oh.
I definitely hit.
Okay, good.
That is going to be a 25 to hit.
Yeah.
Now you're going to add...
Nine.
Nine to this?
Nine.
Fuck, yeah.
32 damage.
Yes.
Yeah.
Like a cannon, this arrow out of nowhere blasts on this creature's back leg and just takes it out at the hip.
Good call, Darn.
Fabulous.
Yes.
Do you have anything else up your sleeve or is it?
You know what?
As an action search, yeah, I'm going to use another attack here.
Yeah, man.
Yes, red invisibly seeing that, it's like, yes, Doran, take this.
fuck it down.
Tamil, kind of hearing red and sensing that this beast might be about to be taken down,
we'll reach out to everybody and say,
this creature seems devastating if it's possible to maybe sort of break it and then,
not kill it, but rather subdue it so that we could bring it to our side.
I think it might be a fun thing to turn back on Corella.
Love it.
Are you sending this to, like, everybody in turn?
Mm-hmm.
Whim shoots a hand up in the air and points down at herself.
Yeah.
Like, I got it.
Okay.
Cool.
Okay.
Great.
Doran winds up and he strikes the creature hitting it with a 17.
Yes.
Nice.
Exactly.
We found the magical AC.
Oh, my God.
Doing 25 damage.
Holy shit.
Nice.
And then one last time.
You know, and now you can see it in his eyes.
He's like, I want.
I want to bring it down.
I don't want to kill it.
Yeah.
I'm going to do this again and add my precision strike.
A 16.
Does it hit, Joe?
It does not.
Damn.
No, I'm sorry.
Thorne pulls back a little too far and misses.
Ever since she got the message from Tamil,
Wim's been climbing up on top of this rubble to vantage point where she can see this frost,
salamander. She reaches out both hands and her cloak starts to billow out behind her. And she makes
as if she's grabbing the creature around the neck from a distance. And she sort of like
wrenches the creature's head towards her from like a space of like 30 empty feet between them. And
she makes eye contact across the distance with the creature. Casting Charm Monster.
Oh, let's go.
Whim is going to attempt to make this creature friendly to us.
It is going to have to try to make a wisdom save.
Does it get advantage because it's hostile to us right now?
It does.
Technically, a 15 fails against her spell save DC.
And a three also failed.
Oh, nice.
Right.
Yes.
Whim.
The creature begins to take a different posture.
It had this, like, hostile stance, and it sort of, like, relaxes its shoulders down
and begins to slowly cross the Coliseum floor towards Wimms.
She reaches out a hand toward the creature, and it, like, moves its body so that it sidles
up alongside these ruins that she's climbed on top of, and she gets on the creature's back.
and rides up towards where Carilla Jetstar
has been spectating the fight this whole time.
Okay, now I'd just like to thank our dear Patreon supporters.
