You're all right, all right.
I don't do much.
You want it in metric or an imperial?
My little, eh, me.
Yeah, let's just let us do its thing.
I'm so light.
I'd blow away with a strong wind.
Always, wait a minute.
A cool guy would absolutely run into the sleet store.
That way, Timmy, I'll turn around.
I want to see who's talking.
Is there anything we could do to help you out?
This is like the crowd control spelt.
Oh, gosh.
This is clearly a spell by probably red.
I think I've seen this before.
I think we have more incoming potentially.
Be on the lookout.
The dice are not loaded, my friend.
Welcome back to Dice Shame.
This is Season 2, Episode 189, The Belly of the Beast.
MVP this week is Chocolate Randy.
You love Randy, you love chocolate.
Now, Chocolate Randy is available at all stores.
Well done, Chocolate Randy.
You're this week's MVP.
All right, should we play some D&D?
Yeah, let's do it.
Make sure you get up on it because you're kind of quiet.
Me?
Get up on it
Yes, Nick
Get up on it
It's actually
Get up on it
But I'm not going to be that
You know what
Are you think no one ever has said get up on it
You're right
In the song
Alex
I say it all the time
Get up on it
Maybe you forgot because you're so old
I didn't mean that
Get up on that thing
I can get up on it
And down on it
Simultaneously
That's right
I've seen it
I've seen you get up
up on it and down on it.
I'm a woman of many talents.
Yeah, you is.
And many foot sizes, apparently.
Alex just wants a segue.
That's all he wants.
Harlan,
I was thinking about your mom's feet the other day.
Okay.
Your partner's feet.
Is this how this conversation starts?
No.
All right.
No, listen, I, I need boots.
And it's the right season for it because I feel like if you go into a store right now,
they're getting rid of all of their winter boots.
100%.
Yeah.
You're all in.
Do they do that still?
You're just throwing them away.
So I feel like.
They're practically giving them away.
Come on down to Al's booting porium.
They say I'm crazy.
Crazy ass.
Crazy for savings.
I bought every boot in town.
I'm going out of business.
We got two lefts.
We got two rights.
We got cowboy boots.
We got them all.
I mean, if it was like that, I would be there in a snap.
Right.
Yeah, why don't places like that actually advertise like that?
Because I really would buy from places like that.
Me too.
I think advertisements need to come back around.
We sort of, you know, we went past that place of like fun advertising.
Then it's just, now it's just fucking bullshit AI shit.
Go back to a guy yelling on the street telling me to buy stuff.
We still have that cash for gold guy in Toronto, that local guy who's like.
Oliver.
Oliver, yes.
I'm the cashman.
Early aughts was like.
Yeah, the early odds.
Yeah.
Early aughts was perfect time for like getting like memed local television commercials.
Oh, yeah.
Sorry, anyway, you went into Crazy Al's boot and porium.
No, but I feel like I should.
But then, yeah.
You'll never leave.
The savings.
They'll grab you and not let you go.
Well, I was shoveling the lane this winter and my foot kept getting wet.
And I was like, okay, that means it's time because there's a hole in my boot.
There's a hole in my boot.
Life is difficult in the guthrales.
It is.
Some winners we didn't even have boots.
I don't like shopping to the point where my clothes get holes in them and I'm like,
fine, I guess I'll go.
And but.
That's just because you breed moths.
Listen.
Honey, it's all the moth breeding.
I keep telling you this.
It's a calling.
We understand that it's your passion, but come on.
She's obsessed with moths.
It's too much with the moths.
Stop letting them sleep in your drawers.
And I will say this.
Cartoons made me think Moths
were going to be a much bigger issue
than they turned out to be.
Oh my God.
Moths and Lava.
I really thought this was going to be a common thing.
Mons Lava Quicksand was another one too.
Piranhas.
Quicksand.
I thought every cabinet I would open
if I haven't been in it too long
with just Moths would just be...
The Bermuda Triangle.
Yeah, all these things.
None of them happened as much.
Sorry, I keep a chart.
So what about your boots?
I was obsessed.
I was obsessed with the Bermuda triangle when I was little.
Wait, obsessed how?
The real Joe is still there.
I wanted to go.
I loved thinking about it.
I didn't ever do anything about it,
but I would sometimes just imagine what it would be like to go into it.
Is it a perfect triangle like a prism made out of fog?
And once you enter it, there's no going back.
Funny, I've thought about this too.
Did the sailors just go in and they're so disoriented?
They just end up sailing in circles,
for years.
Wait, wait.
It's actually...
And where do they go?
There's...
Have you guys researched this?
I mean, I don't want to...
This is fun to do the speculation.
If you are interested...
Oh, but they found it.
Well, I mean, they have an explanation.
Who knows if it's actually the real one.
But, um, anyway, it's...
Aliens.
It's really interesting.
It's aliens.
It just turned out to be aliens.
Everyone was like...
One of them...
Oh.
The aliens didn't tell us that they were doing that.
I thought it was Atlantic.
I thought it then, Nick.
What's the truth?
Truth.
Um, I'm gonna fuck up the details.
So I definitely.
so I definitely encourage you to look out for or to like to look into it yourselves.
But I believe it has something to do with like either the salinity of the water or something to do with like the buoyancy.
Oh, the boy.
Maybe it's currents or something.
But there's something like meteorological.
And so boats sink more easily or they don't.
I'm going to.
So there is a scientific explanation is what you're saying.
It's not just speculation.
I think what Nick's trying to say is it's very something you should look up.
And very interesting to read about.
And just to Joe's point of having these things that we thought were going to be more important as children and Bermuda Triagal, absolutely being one of them.
Man, was it underutilized?
Like, they made fucking action figures out of everything.
Where the fuck was Bermuda Triangle the TV show?
Like, I was expecting this thing.
Bermuda Triangle, man.
But it was everywhere.
I mean, if I could go back in time, I would totally make the 90s.
No one was capitalizing on the Bermuda Triangle crazy.
That's what I'm saying.
Right?
Well, actually, there was a Bermuda Triangle man, but he got so lost.
Nobody ever saw him again.
You know what I mean?
We had fucking street sharks.
We had like, like, craft skateboarding street sharks, right?
Yeah, and Czech cereal had a video game.
Why the fuck didn't Bermuda Triangle have something going for?
It's because corporate exacts thought they knew what kids were upset with.
Often they were right, but some, like, they didn't really plumb the full depth.
There's an alternate world where Bermuda Triangle, the TV Shep.
show was all of our greatest hits growing up.
And I'm sad that seven-season show didn't exist.
I think because it's kind of morbid, right?
Maybe they knew that it was...
Oh, yeah, they don't capitalize on morbid things.
Yeah, who does that?
But it's also, I mean...
It's also like, it could be like Narnia-esque, right?
Where, like, you're crossing over into another place and it's, yeah.
Like HR Puffin' and stuff.
Exactly.
One day they were going into the...
Hell yeah.
You know it, Tim, right?
It's about a little boy in a magic flute.
I do.
my dad showed me the show as a kid to like give me an idea of like this was we've we've definitely
talked about this before uh somehow both knowing hr puff and stuff man harlin showed me the other day
and i was like what the fuck is oh it's like a drugged out 70s tv show it's so you know where
you heard of that right harle yeah yeah she you know born in the six i guess that's what you
watch as a kid speaking of your mom yeah oh speaking of my mom she's got the exact same size
His feet is me.
Why?
So you get free, Amy down, quality boots.
She keeps dropping off all kinds of shoes.
And listen, this lady's got some real taste.
Yeah.
This is, I thought you were going to say she's got some real feet.
Let me tell you, this lady's got some boots feet.
None of these fake feet like you find today.
No, no, no.
She's all foot.
All foot.
He'll smell good.
You know the old lady that lived in his shoe?
She ain't got nothing on my mom.
She got nothing on my mom.
Three kids and two of them are on this podcast.
You know,
yeah,
that's true.
I have a very similar relationship with my brother-in-law.
Oh,
yeah.
My wife's brother and I have like the exact same size shoe,
the exact same size physical structure.
But he lives like downtown and buys like brand name stuff.
So I like,
I have like Nike's never ever would have bought a pair of Nike's.
Like I have.
That's why you're so stylish.
Like designer clothing that I would never have thought about buying in my life.
And yet you were the same sweatshirt on the screen.
I was going to say, you're tugging the shoulders of a hoodie that I think we gave you.
This is the Chronicle Brewery.
That's a brewery that we.
Harlan used to work at.
Game out of lives.
So they made some bespoke batches of beer.
It's even funnier.
So it was literally, it was a friend's birthday.
This is maybe half an hour from us.
And a friend's birthday, he was like, hey, there's this new brewery by me, and they have a dodecahedron or whatever on it.
And they were like, should we go check it out?
I co-seedron.
Whatever.
They're like, excuse me.
Actually, the Liga-Hedon's 12-sided.
And I was like, I was like, oh, that's, we should stop by there.
And we went in, and I introduced myself to the guy, and we started talking.
And it was such a good connection.
They ended up making, yeah, an Invictus Limited Batch Beer called the Ignorant Farmer, which to this day, they still run.
We named a beer of theirs.
The guy who does all the art for malevolent did about half the labels of their beer.
That's very cool.
Because they were like, we love your art, how do we catch it?
I worked there for about a year after I lost my job before Malevolent started.
I was serving beers and working in the back.
And they basically gave me a job to work some extra hours to help out.
That's so cool.
You started running trivia night there.
And I did trivia night.
You were a quiz master there for like a year and a half.
Chronicle breweries.
Chronicle brewery.
Anyone's in the Bowmanville area?
And Oshawa.
They have their location in Oshua.
That's true, actually.
Well, I might be moving to Canada at some point because shit's crazy in the U.S. right now.
I encourage you too.
We got lots of room.
Come on up.
So much better here.
Laughs.
Speaking of crazy, crazy Al's shoes and porium is open 24 hours a day off I-95.
Come on down.
And that's why we're going to go right in a dice shame after these paid advertisements.
Oh.
I'm looking to re-org as my property.
Who could I call?
What?
Somebody?
I don't know.
No, it's funny.
This way.
Sorry, I kind of wanted to see what happened.
I can't yes and that.
I'm only going, pardon?
What?
I was thinking I should jump in as the guy this character is talking to, but I also wanted to see what was happened.
I apologize, Alex.
Same.
Same.
Oh, yeah.
Sometimes perpetuating the gag and jumping in.
is as fun as watching it slowly
feral,
slowly, spiral out of control.
That's like one of Alex's
cannibalized soul.
FAMISDICs.
Literally.
My entire life I've known him,
he has this amazing ability
to tell stories that ramp up
in energy and then just
stop, dead.
And if you haven't seen it already,
you will see it.
Because you'll just do this,
whew-h-h-oh.
You're like, that,
oh, that was the,
okay, cool.
Speaking of,
abrupt endings,
shall we play dice shame?
I mean,
let's play D&D.
Absolutely.
Absolutely. Absolutely.
Round two.
The lever underneath the crimson prism that red had pushed into the up position
flicks back down.
And the brightly colored red light that floods this hallway fades.
At the top of this round, it is now Red's turn.
Red, you and Temeel are in this southern area.
Looks like we need to throw those crystals at the same time,
but we'll deal with these stupid giants first.
Right.
I'm going to take out one of these methods if I can.
Just hang here. I'm going to come right back.
Okay.
Red moves his turn up to the corner to peek around the edge.
Does he see any of these flying creatures?
You do, yeah.
Just protruding from the edge of this sleet storm,
you see one of these small elementals.
Its form is almost blurry.
It's like hard to sort of pin down its exact location.
phase-shifty?
No, like made of elements in such a combination
that it's almost like emitting like smoke or steam or something.
And what that means mechanically is,
Red, if you are planning an attack roll,
you're going to have to make that with disadvantage.
Oh.
Red stares down this creature,
not of flesh and bone, but of mist and smoke.
I am going to cast Hunter's mark.
It's a bonus action.
So basically, again, I mystically mark it.
I'm going to deal a 1D6 extra when I hit it with a weapon.
And I have advantage on wisdom perception or wisdom survival checks I make to find it.
Cool.
Now, I'm hoping that might not outright negate it, but offer some sort of a benefit.
However, I won't be attacking it this round.
I think for safety, Red is then going to spend his action to move back to where he was behind Temeel.
Okay.
So you run forward, you mark this method as you.
your quarry mystically and then you retreat terrified.
And I think as I appear behind, as I, as I stop behind to Meal, I sort of tap her on
the shoulder and I say, look, whatever it is, it is.
And I'm just going to sort of describe it.
Now, again, not to fully aid Tamil, but I want to give sort of the best advantage I
can for when it's her turn to sort of hit this thing.
Again, it may not negate the disadvantage, but maybe it can offer some sort of, you know.
Yeah.
I mean, it's Timile's turn up next.
What do you say in the six seconds that you get to sort of...
I mean, you know, I spent a second on it.
I looked at it.
Did it look like it had any weak points whatsoever?
Were the eyes more tangible than the rest of its body?
Did it have...
You know what I mean?
Like...
No, it was...
I mean, it was flying, so watch out for that.
Look, the thing is going to move back and forth a little bit jutter.
Aim for center mass if you're doing any sort of distance.
And if you're throwing that bad boy, trying to get it square in the center.
That's the only way you're going to have to have to be.
have a chance at hitting it. All right, but do you want to engage it here, or should we try to
meet up with the others back towards the room we came from? It's a straight shot hallway, and Red's
looking down. You know, it's pretty tight. I feel like if we just wait until it turns that corner
and hit it, I think we're going to have a better shot at taking it out. And what's the range
on your weapons? Oh. She's asking her, she's like, she's kind of like limbering up a little.
My range is like 600 feet, like 700 feet.
Like I could hit anything from anybody.
We're good.
Oh, right.
Wow.
I'm just saying, I'm just saying.
Listen, I don't do much, but I hit them far with a bow.
That's my thing.
You want to admit trick or an imperial?
You do plenty.
Okay, I think then.
I work in kilometers.
Let me just look real quick.
Cool.
But can that offer any sort of, I mean, not to negate the disadvantage, but maybe offer
So I think I'm not, I think I'm going to try to buff you and move you above the table instead of trying to hit this thing.
Oh.
Now.
Okay.
To give us both a little bit more distance.
Sure.
Do we want to, how, I, okay, mechanically, I don't know anything about Mephits.
You seem to be scared of them.
Are they really powerful?
No, no, no, no.
Let me tell you why I love Mephits.
It's because they're these little, these, these little creatures.
I got to have some as pets.
In one D&D actual play that I've heard, someone was using Steam Mephits, like employing Steve Mephits to power.
a fucking like steamboat down a river.
I mean,
they're just like,
yeah,
they're just like cool little crazy.
I just,
yeah,
they're cool little guys.
But,
but it's interesting.
The reason I was kind of
now waiting for you to attack
is because I'll just go next round.
But if you want to pull back,
is it because they're dangerous?
They're not dangerous.
It's just I'm looking at the length of this hallway
and being like,
if we want to group up with the others,
then while there is still some obstruction,
while there is still a little bit of clearance,
this would be the time to try to make those moves.
That was all I was thinking.
I'm not really, I'm not scared of these things.
I was just thinking about positioning and how I could be as effective.
Well, then, yeah.
Well, I mean, if you're open to the idea, I can just kind of get us closer to the others.
Let's do it.
Let's get as far away from this thing as we can.
All right.
Joe, I'm happy to make like an athletics check or anything like that.
Would using my action for dash allow us to travel the full dash action?
Or would one of those dashes kind of count as like carrying?
or like one of the actions count
is actually doing the grapple.
I mean, grappling is an action
in terms of like a contest
when we're talking about like two combatants
like...
You can pick me up, I won't stop you, I don't know.
I'm picturing him up like carrying a bride
across a threshold, you know what I mean?
Like just like scooping him.
Yes, please.
And then running down the hallway.
Red's got like his arm draped over your shoulder.
He's like baby's.
style. So when it's not a contest, I don't think we need to really invoke the rules of grappling.
Great. I want to know how strong you are. I want to know how heavy red is. Red is like birdboned.
He is so light. I've always thought this. I always thought he's like elven in his like construct,
the way he like walks on the snow. I picture you pretty skinny. But like what what is your equipment
vibes? Are you in like full armor? What's I totally forget what your armor. I'm in. I'm in.
studded leather armor
studded leather
and there's like magic
and I have a bow
I'm so light
I'd blow away with a strong wind
sure what's your strength
my strength is
I only have a plus one to strength
but I have a plus 10 to athletics
I have expertise
in athletics so it just depends
what it is that you want me to use
and athletics is strength
I hear you
it is a strength check yeah
yeah yeah
here's my ruling
I'm gonna say
bonus action you can pick red up
Hell yeah.
And then you can use your movement in action.
I'll take it.
As you would.
Upies, upy.
So generous.
Love you.
Sure.
Yes, absolutely.
So 60.
Red's just like moving his hands, open and closed and allowed you.
Uppies.
Uppie.
Upie.
Okay, so.
Moving an actively resisting character halves your speed,
but Red is like actively permitting.
So that doubles your speed.
Great.
Imagine.
He's also got his feet on the ground kind of pushing.
Yeah.
No, no.
We're good, we're good.
Great, okay, cool.
Yeah.
Did you eat an onion bagel?
Yeah, Dorn gave it to me, I swear.
He was moldy, I'm sorry.
Did you get that?
Ew.
Fabulous.
All right, it's Wim's turn.
Wim raises a hand in the air towards where the meteors are orbiting her head.
And you see they change from being this, like, flaming sphere to being encased in ice
and behind them they trail this frosty ray
as they travel in orbit around her head.
Cool.
She turns her attention back on the steam method that she can see.
She is going to curl one of the meteors towards it.
Each creature within five feet of the point where the meteor explodes
and must make a dexterity saving throw.
That is an 11, which fails.
Nice.
So it's going to take fucking minimum damage.
Ew.
That I rolled two ones.
Every little bit helps.
That sucks.
She's going to throw another one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She gets to do two per turn if she wants.
Two per turn.
14, I believe also fails.
Yes, her save DC is 17.
Nice.
And that is, I'm using a different dice.
That's the third one.
Oh, dice shame.
I mean, so I'm using these gorgeous,
metal cherry blossom
die.
Pretty, really really pretty. You mean
the ones that are shaming you are
cheap, ugly dice.
Well, these were gifts, so I'm not
going to shame them. Well, that's what he's saying.
He's saying pretend it's another one.
He's shame his sentence to Patriots.
These cheap fucking
and they smell so bad.
There we go. These aren't even dice.
Four and a six.
The cat's hers.
The second
The second meteor explodes hardly on the Mephet's body.
Takes a total of 12 points of damage.
And it like spins in the air with the force of the explosion of these meteors against its form.
But it's still alive.
I think Wim is going to sort of duck back into the room just to get out of its range of sight.
And with that, it is with its.
turn.
Wait, did Wim have to roll with disadvantage too?
Wim was forcing the creature to make a save.
She did not roll an attack.
Okay, good to know.
Perfect.
Wim was playing the game, Harlan.
You know?
Wim read the rules.
Sorry.
Red's like still not getting down from your arms, by the way.
And Shabiel's not actually putting you down.
So every time she turns around is just like everyone, everyone's shifting.
It's a really tight room too.
That way, Timmy, I'll turn around.
I want to see who's talking.
All right.
Hold on.
All right, Widdid, what's up now?
Does Wittitt had clear line of sight across the hall to the south
to see Wim and the others coming around the corner, or what would he see?
Yes, yeah, you can see Wim for sure.
Maybe you see, like,
maybe you see, like, the end of Timiel's javelin and Red's feet or something.
They're just starting to come around the corner.
So if you're particularly astute, you can tell that they're coming on down.
Plus, you can hear the constant.
constant jibber jabbery.
I look over there in confusion for a moment, and there is this moment where Witted is considering, like, do I rush in and try to go after this method recklessly close to the fog?
Do I even fall back to escape?
Like, no, I'm with others.
And seeing that he's still got them on the other side, he can now hear kind of gathering to the south, he's got Duren right behind him, he's going to fall back to where Duren is.
for a moment there's like a flicker like a lighter of flame and he goes,
no, shakes his head and switches to like thunder pulses on his gauntlets as he ready's an attack,
but only if anybody comes around that corner will we get to punch anybody, I think.
Nice, nice, nice.
Nice, good call.
When a creature enters the spells area or starts a turn there, it must make a dexterity
saving throw on a failed save of a false print.
Sleet Storm.
You old so-and-so.
You old storm and storm
Yeah, let's just let us do its thing
Let it cook for a little bit
All right, it's the giant's turns
You hear some muffled, heavy thumps
And cursing in the giant tongue
If we were putting a soundtrack to this
It would probably be something like yakety sacks
And nothing emerges from the storm.
Do we hear any falling again?
Oh yeah.
Yep
The sleet storm was a good call
It's fabulous
Yeah no brilliant
That is coming so handy
So many times
Yeah
Red
You understand Giant
I believe
Yeah I think we did does too
Yes
Yeah
You hear one of them go
Did you just drop your sword
Another one goes like
Shut up
I'll make him
The first
method that's in the southern
hallway sort of closest to red and to meal flits down through the corridor and then seeing the two
of you at the end of the hallway it sort of ducks into the alcove where the crimson prism is and
stays out of sight loser what a fucking the method that whim had smacked with a couple of meteors
flies east on the catwalk toward where it saw
Witted disappear around the corner.
So that's its move.
I don't think it can hit you with a range attack.
I would like to just point out I had envisioned Witted whipping around the corner
such that he is out of sight and then readying those like thunder gauntlets for punches.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I think it's going to like size up whim across the catwalk.
And then it's going to sort of chase you down, Witted.
And it hoves into view around the corner, sort of ready to like make pursuit, not sure where you are.
Knock it, it's block.
You have an opportunity to pop off that ready to action.
100%.
As it comes around the corner, Witted even does a little bit of a fist pump with the other arm as his punching arm.
That Henry Cavill.
Absolutely.
Very much.
Very much.
He's going for the haymaker punch and then a jab from the second thunder gauntlet.
He gets, since he readied an action, he gets two attacks because he gets two with his attack action.
So I am going to swing the first thunder gauntlet punch is going to be.
It's obviously that these are very like root encrusted and extra augmented versus the rest of Bessie.
And you're rolling with disadvantage as well.
These are plus two thunder gauntlet weapons.
No!
I rolled a natural one.
You can't make me do any worse than that, Joe.
I can roll all day.
You'll never get a worse roll out of me.
Wow.
Yikes.
Yes.
Shame, shame, shame, shame, shame.
Shame, shame, shame.
Shame, shame.
I can feel it's learning, it's lesson.
It's responding positively.
Yes.
Ah, yes.
Absolutely.
Roll it with disadvantage.
Oh.
There is a way.
Okay, come on, fingers crossed.
Hey!
It's made to be a 16 plus 11 is a 27 on both dice.
It's a way to persuade the dice, yes?
Completed.
Oh, no.
That do I dare.
You're a little shame, eh?
Oh, the Jedi trickery.
My little, eh.
The dice are not loaded, my friend.
I will take you an gun to.
So my first haymaker goes wild over this thing.
and then I just do a quick like rockem sock and robot like peteen and there is this weird sound of like almost coins jingling as the hit as the fist shoots out and just clocks it right in the nose.
Nice.
I love it.
It's head pops up.
I love how all of a sudden Bessie has like this arcade vibe.
Yes.
Because it's magically powered, a lot of shenanigans and silly things that shouldn't happen with your old technology end up happening with Bessie.
I love it.
I love it.
It's like the personality, your personality.
It's very like arcane vibes, I feel like, for the technology.
14 damage.
Wow.
All right.
With that, Bessie literally pummel's this flying elemental to death.
Oh, man.
It explodes in your face.
So, Witted, you have to make a dexterity saving throw for me, please.
Oh, no.
Yep, Mephits.
It do be like that.
Oh, yeah, this is the thing about them.
Oh, right, right, right.
They do explode.
I'm taking the full hit on that.
That was only a six.
Okay, you take six fire damage as this creature.
But you're fire resistant.
I am fire resistant and my shields are fully charged.
I have ten temporary hit points right now,
so you see the blasts go off,
but my shields just become visible for a little bit,
like in this almost like segment of the flames that are cut out.
and I am down to seven temporary hit points.
Fabulous.
Amazing.
I need to make another save for the method that remains within the sleet storm.
Oh.
Pray for Mojo.
Uh, yeah.
Are you Mojo?
Jojo.
Guys, pray for Mojo.
Jojo.
Hojo.
She's talking yourself in the third.
Jo Jo Jo Jo.
Mojo, Jo.
Nope.
It falls down.
So.
Stupid.
Let's go.
I'm rolling this storm.
CLEET storm.
With a seven.
Sleet storm.
Half of its movement to stand up and then half of its movement to try to escape.
Oh, no, there's another one in the in the sleet storm.
Shit.
Oh, more second to manage this second method.
Do you know?
Eight.
God damn it.
Yes.
Wow.
Wow.
This is like the crowd control stuff.
Yeah.
That's a good one.
We like that one.
It's good dice for us.
It's a good dice for us.
Roll that one when you're rolling for them.
Doren, it's your turn.
Yeah, so Doren's like perspective.
He watches,
Witted, like, kind of run around the corner towards him.
And there's this moment where he can't even get words out.
He's like, oh, what do you see out there?
And then before he can even finish the sentence,
this like Moffat.
whatever they're called, turns the corner.
And Doran watches.
Oh, wait, no, it's handsome.
The Moffets were a band, though, weren't they?
Yeah, they were.
Very good, very good.
And then, yeah, so Doran Watches
we did sort of destroy one of these things.
Whoa, that was explosive.
What was that?
What's going on?
I think we have more incoming potentially.
Be on the lookout.
I think we could hold this position easier than charge it to that,
any gestures at the store.
Yeah.
Yeah, and Dorn now kind of approaches the doorway where Witt it is and looks into this, the main hallway area seeing this sleet storm going on.
Yeah.
Yeah, maybe I will just hang back.
And then he looks across and sees Temeel and Red sort of around the corner there.
And, of course, Wim.
And I think, I think Doren hollers across.
Is there anything we can do to help you out?
Yeah, keep your voice down.
He only saw us.
Okay.
He says in a yelling hush.
The Giants only saw me and to Miel.
And they can't see anything in the sleet storm.
So now Joe's like, she just wrote down,
now I can attack both.
Underlined.
Got a lot of stuff run down on my little board.
Any suggestions or otherwise there's really nothing I can do
except for wait.
Not exciting, but I would say wait.
Yep.
I think I'll do that.
Or charge into the sleet storm.
So that you too can roll, decks save.
You can't say that to...
Thanks.
Thanks, Joe.
I appreciate your suggestion.
Can't say that to Alex because he will do that.
Don't you want to be a giant slayer?
Stop it.
You're appealing to his toxic masculinity.
I was thinking a cool guy would absolutely run into the street store.
Stop appealing to it.
Run back and forth.
A real man.
Yeah, you want to go around?
You know what that is.
Maybe I will.
That's a pincer movement.
Strategy's not fun.
Yeah.
I think Doran turns to
win and he says, you know what? Instead of standing here, I'm going to double back and wait for this.
This is clearly a spell by probably red. I think I've seen this before. I'm going to double back
down that hallway and maybe I'll take an advantage of coming up from behind them while they're
heading towards you. They probably heard my voice. Well, be careful. Oh, always. And he turns around and
shuffles back down the hallway towards the crystals where he originally was. Dorn, stop shuffling.
Fabulous.
It's so loud.
It seems genuinely worried about Duren,
and as he goes around the corridor,
does this like double take back,
seeing him like heading really an aroundabout way to the side way,
but like heading towards danger.
And he says under his breath as though it has just occurred to,
but always, wait a minute,
and he's like peeking around the corner,
getting ready to keep holding this position,
but also wondering like,
If something happens to Doren, I'm not going to see it.
And he's starting to get very nervous about that.
The closer we are to danger, the farther we are from harm.
Hmm?
Hmm?
It's from the Hobbit.
The Tolkien's hobbits, you know?
How many tokens were they?
J.K. Tolkien.
All right, Doren, you run shufflingly along the corridor, making your way west towards the heart of the storm.
Yes.
And in his own mind, he says, without any trademark or copyright, the closer I am to danger, the farther I am from harm.
Very good. Very good.
Wow.
And Red says, I don't know, half of you, half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you, half as well as you deserve.
You know, I can't help but feel.
like reading the names of the Patreon supporters is becoming longer than the episodes themselves.
So, I'm gonna try something a little different here and use some magic.
