Ah, that's a good question. Do we want to go in skullduggery style?
Overees?
How many fingers or toes or whatever do you need for me?
Well, say no more, say no more.
They're probably going to be at this for a while.
Wow, what a strange name.
It is a lie.
What were you guys talking about?
It's not that bad of a deal.
But you're not getting a mint.
We're here for information.
Let's suppose I die.
You know, like really killed, you know?
Head off.
All.
How am I supposed to know that you are,
actually do bring me back.
Welcome back to Dice Shame.
This is Season 3, Episode 4, Leader of the Pack.
MVP this week is Oakley, who's been enjoying the lore and laughs, but is over the moon
about the audio quality.
Thank you, Oakley.
It means a lot.
You are this week's MVP.
Thanks, Oakley.
All right, should we play some D&D?
Yeah, let's do it.
Yahu.
I had an interesting scenario with clapping recently, and there was a kid that was clapping my hands.
It might have been my own kid.
I'm trying to remember the exact situation.
Wait, I can't remember.
No, it might have been my nephew.
I can't remember.
It doesn't matter.
My kid?
It was a kid.
No, different nephew.
Because recently there was like parties and stuff.
And I noticed that they were clapping their hands together and squeezing.
really tight. I was like, oh, that's, I didn't say anything. I just, like, observed this. And of course,
the clapping conversation went through my mind. I thought it was kind of funny. I was like,
holding their hands together. Like, do you clap your hands and let them apart? Do you clap and keep them
together? Or do you clap and crunch them together as tight as you can for whatever reason?
He's got a lot of anger at the world clearly as a young little toddler.
Showing people you mean it. I think they were laughing at the time. So I think it might have been a good
thing, but...
That kid's parents
are like, why is that man staring at our child
now?
It's like, that's interesting technique.
That's a...
Hang on.
I like that.
I'm sure it was...
Instead of clenching your fists in rage,
it's clapping your hands in anger.
It just like...
Kids were in conversation.
I noticed that one kid was like, you know,
really...
Ah, whatever.
It was wringing his hands.
So, clap, squeeze.
Yeah.
Squeeze every time?
Like, what's the frequency of class?
No, no, no.
I think it was just like one clap.
And it was like...
Oh!
They were like, ah.
Maybe they caught a bun.
Hold on.
Is it a clap if you only clap once?
Well, a clap.
Yeah, of course it is.
Is it a laugh if you just laugh once?
If you go, ha ha ha, ha, ha, ha.
Yeah.
It's the style of laugh.
So you count one clap?
I would interpret them differently, but I think you can call them both laughs and clas.
Yeah, like if you're at a, if you're at a concert, is the amount of clap, is it directly
proportional to the talent or enjoyment of the product.
Like, is only one clap, like, not very good?
Like, can you imagine?
It depends on hard you squeeze afterwards.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I appreciate that it wasn't the best intro idea.
Oh, that was an intro idea?
Well, I was going to say ovulations, but it's not ovations.
Standing ovations.
Standing ovulations.
Standing ovulation.
Oh, wait.
I do have long ovulation.
Hang on.
Okay, so you know how, you know how when you're, when you haven't eaten in a while
and you get a little testy, we call that hangary.
I don't have never know, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Hangary.
Yeah, hangary.
Yeah, I've seen some people talking with all of the kind of like summer heat waves and everything
kind of going through the States and, you know, around the world and everything,
I've seen people being like, what do you call it when you're angry just because it's hot?
What's the word for that?
Like hangary, but for hot.
Yeah.
Well, it's not, it can't be hangary because it's hot, works.
show isn't that hot is that's right c h a ud is french for hot okay so there could be a canadian version
where there's like shod d'nrie ches et re chengri how fancy
shangri actually changri no what is it what's a good one you got one i mean i don't
i don't have a good one the only one that i could think of and i wish i had looked at the comments
of um of those posts was um having a temperature tantrum
That's good.
I was going to say I have hate rash.
Hate rash is good.
Temperature.
Hate rash.
That's good.
I like that.
Hate rash.
Yeah.
But I don't have a rash.
I'm just mad.
Hate stroke doesn't sound as good.
Hate stroke.
No, that's better.
That sounds like a movie with Charles Bronson where he goes around killing people in the 70s.
It's hate stroke.
It's funny.
I was like, oh, I have a thing for an intro tonight.
I was like, well, I won't.
But then Alex did it anyway.
And I was just going to say, I'm just going to say as an unpopular opinion,
I feel like teas should be labeled more expressly for decaf versus calf the way that coffee is.
Because I have a lot of tea.
And like to, it's like a fucking puzzle to try to figure out what tea has caffeine in it.
And you're like, oh, and like, oh, camomere.
That's a flour.
That's not tea.
He doesn't have tea in it,
but it's like camamil tea.
Well,
does it have tea in it?
I got to look at the fucking ingredients.
Just like put decaf on it or whatever.
And I don't like that.
I feel like I don't get why coffee has a pass to be like,
you never,
ever pick up a cup of coffee without it expressly being like,
oh, this is decaf.
Even if someone's filling you up at a restaurant,
they're like decaf or caffeinate,
but they don't do that with tea.
I got an argument to this because you don't drink a cup of tea
and then start bouncing off the walls,
you know,
like to do with coffee.
You do that.
I like drinking tea.
tea, there's more caffeine in tea than coffee.
I think that's a myth.
You're a myth.
I don't think it, your face is a myth.
But I do actually.
Good arguments, guys, good arguments.
I feel like I've heard that there is something, there is some either compound or chemical
or something in tea where the caffeine.
Does tea have more caffeine than coffee?
No.
Brewed coffee generally has about double to triple the caffeine of a standard cup of tea.
Fair enough, it's a myth.
I'll tell you this.
At least you looked it up.
Caffeine doesn't stunt your growth.
That's correct.
Yeah, but did you know that?
Yes, I did.
Because your son did.
Well, to be fair,
are you calling Alex out on his child's ignorance?
To be fair, he came home and was like, that's a myth.
He said it.
He said it.
Probably right.
He came home from being over here and said it was a myth.
Well, he came home on time.
I guess if you're talking about it, it was from your house.
It was really funny actually because your kids came over and I said,
did you guys want to pop?
And they said, well, no, we can't have caffeine.
It will make you short or whatever.
It'll stunt your growth.
I said, I don't know if that's true, is it?
And then I checked on Google in front of the kids.
And it said, no, this is a myth.
And then I said, how much caffeine can a kid who's nine have in a day?
And they said, it's safe to have this much caffeine.
So I said, you can have a pop, just don't tell your dad.
Yeah.
I think, to be fair, though, I think he heard that at school.
And I've just never, I've never really challenged it.
And he's never been like, doesn't it, dad?
and I like, I've never corrected him.
I've never thought too much about it.
Can I also just say?
Your son also told me that tea has more caffeine than coffee.
He probably did.
I think I had that argument with him.
Wow.
It's actually his fault.
That's hilarious.
Learn it.
I wish that tea were more explicitly labeled as to whether they tasted like bullshit or not.
What?
I don't know.
Some tea just tastes like dut.
Did I already share this that when I pick out my, when I go for the Earl Grey.
Yeah.
It says in Canada it says,
Tay, Earl Gray,
Tee.
Right?
It's like the translation.
That's how they're sort of like in the U.S.
Because they don't have to repeat Earl Grey.
They just put.
Right.
Yeah.
But every time I see it,
even though it's got the accent,
I don't know why.
I go,
ah,
the Earl Gray tea.
The Earl Grey.
Oh,
like that's pretty funny.
Instead of Taye Earl Grey tea.
What is chai?
Also,
chai means tea,
doesn't it?
Yeah, yeah.
So like chai tea is Titi.
Chai, yeah.
That's true too.
What if it says Tay,
Tai,
tea.
That it's T.
The Chai Tee Tee.
I'm not saying, you know how sometimes you just kind of want to like, like, take the
blanket off and shake it out and like straighten it again just to get, because your
feet keep sticking out the bottom.
I just want to do that with the whole T enterprise.
I just want to be like, okay, let's just, let's just consolidate.
Let's just make it crisper.
Let's just make it cleaner.
This is what tea is.
This is what, this is all.
Everything here is catching.
You're taking away the mystery, though.
They're literally packing it in Poland.
They'll never know if it's caffeinated or not.
When I make tea, I am in such a rush.
I am making tea because I got stuff to do.
I'm like, oh, you're thinking of the wrong drink, Harlan.
All right.
Should we play some D&D?
Yeah, let's do it.
A rural druid, little more powerful than a hedge witch,
makes her way through the neighborhoods of Waterdeep.
Her eyes wide and quiet marvel.
The incense and burning of offerings are exotic in her nose, wafting from temples dedicated to God's unknown to her.
Children scream happily to each other across the road in a language she doesn't understand.
Someone is hawking from a fruit stall.
His produce is dewy and fresh, and a full third of it is completely foreign.
A marvel to her.
She lingers, thirsty eyes on the plump flesh, eventually picking through her pouch for a copper and sitting on the nearby steps,
of some kind of public building, enjoying the sun on her face and the sweet, sour taste of a ripe berry.
Past the temples and the children and the fruit stand and the druid on the steps, our heroes march on,
into the castle ward of Waterdeep. Two blocks ahead of the others, Doran Iron Fist and Wim,
the sorcerer girl, are deep in conversation, catching up on all they'd missed in the time they spent apart.
And that's the reason I no longer clean my toenails using the head of my axe.
Are you even listening to me or just focusing on where we're going?
Whim signs absent-mindedly towards you, and how does Ork Splitter feel about that?
Well, I'm glad you asked. I actually haven't gone there with Ork Splitter.
I don't think it would be appropriate.
He kind of puts his hand to the side of his mouth.
But that might be a story for another time.
Looks like we might be here
Where are those two?
She nods
And then looks behind her
To see Red and Timiel
Catching up through the crowd
Sorry, we had a little bit of a detour
Sorry about that
What were you guys talking about?
Something interesting, I'm sure
Oh
Wim shakes her head and draws a finger across her throat
No, no
Oh
I think we covered all of the different
Type of hygiene you could do with
Different weapons
Oh
Oh
How weird
Red says picking his teeth with an arrow.
Anyway, so here we are.
The iron the manatomancer or something or other.
Yes, we stand in front of a tall, impressive building.
It is carved from dark gray stone.
The front sort of like walkway garden area is dominated with a bronze sculpture of a twisted tree.
And there is a bronze sign above the double-distance.
doors that say the Chavere Horticultural Society in Service of Resurrection and Immortality.
Oh, that's a mouthful.
Doesn't really roll off the tongue.
That's why I go by red.
Whim signs, so what's the plan exactly?
Ah, that's a good question. Do we want to go in skull-duggery style?
Poke around. Do we want to go in, you know, bows of blazing?
Or somewhere in the middle?
It's not clear to me exactly what we're dealing with here.
It seems suspect, anyway, the way that they were trying to sell it,
and also the way they're recruiting.
But if this is a legitimate religious thing,
I don't know that bows are blazing is the right move.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Well, if they approached us with earnesty,
is that a word?
earnestness?
Hmm.
Mm.
If they approached us earnest,
then I suppose we can do the same for them.
You know, doesn't mean we can't break off from the pack and poke around their undercarriage.
That came out weird.
Joe, are there other people kind of going in and maybe out of this building?
Not currently.
Okay.
What do you say, Doran? Play it upright?
Admittedly, I forget quite honestly what we're doing here.
That's all right, buddy.
That lady came into the bar and offered us assurance, remember?
We give her a piece of our finger.
If we die, they come back.
We think it's suspect, and we want to wet our beaks a little before we go back out on the high seas
and thought this might be a nice warm-up adventure.
Dorn start hikes up his pants.
All right.
Let's do this.
We'll start small.
Kind of gives Red a little wink and, you know, rubs his hands together.
It'll get us ramped up for something a little bit more bloody.
I appreciate that.
Thanks, Dorn.
It claps you on the back.
Tamil will lead the charge. She'll walk up to the door and she'll just let herself in,
hold it open for the others, and start to make her way towards, if there's like an obvious front desk or someone who looks like they're a concierge of sorts, then she'll go to them.
Very much so. Inside, you find a large room. There are woven tapestries hung from the top level.
There's like a gallery, I suppose. There's a front desk with two people.
people sitting behind it, flanked by some tall stone carvings. To the right of the front desk,
there's a staircase leading up to that second level, and to the left, a set of double doors.
There's also a woman standing around in the lobby, kind of just like pacing and looking
grumpy. Behind the front desk, the receptionists, you presume, a dragonborn and a,
human woman. Red follows Tamil in and looks around marking the woman sort of pacing around the
front area heated and sort of walks over to her. Everything all right. You look angry. I'm sorry,
who are you? I'm red-handed Robin. You're one of the admin. No, no, no, no, no. I'm red-handed
Robin of Red's Rovis. This is my best friend Doran and my best friend Tamil and my best friend
whim. She looks over Red's shoulder at Tamil approaching the receptionist.
pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Yes, it is.
Can I help you?
Help me, no. You're the one that looks, you know, a little grumpy.
Everything all right?
I should say so. You're not here then as clients of this fraudster.
Well, as a matter of fact, Red Sir looks at Temeel.
Yeah, so Tameel catches Red looking over and will do a very inelegant detour, like heading to
for the desk to these receptionists and then just like veer to the left.
90 degrees.
Just like a full 90.
So.
Sorry.
I just.
I wouldn't be here detract him from this legitimate business if they would handle my case appropriately.
You used air quotes.
I did.
I'm Cordelia.
And I'm here to resolve my father's claim.
And I'm being given all.
kinds of trouble. She raises her voice a little bit to sort of reach the reception desk without
specifically addressing them. Are they refusing to revive your father? They said that my claim has
already been received. She looks away blinking her eyes, tears welling. My father passed
away in an accident. Three ten day ago. And I came to Waterdeep to submit the claim.
A hundred gold is no paltry sum
And they are telling me
That my claim had already been submitted
Two months ago
Two months ago
That my father is already reincarnated
But that's impossible
I won't leave here without him
When you say it's impossible
Is this because you
Your father has been in your presence
In the intervening time?
Yes.
Yes.
Interesting.
Over Rarie's, the party will hear.
So Rary's telepathic bond is still running.
Oh, I thought you're saying ovaries weird.
I also thought that.
Overies?
Overees.
They can do this to a person where they make her kind of crazy.
She's hysterical.
First of all, look at her.
She's absolutely hysterical.
Rary's telepathic bond.
It's called Rary's telepathic bond.
So over.
Right.
Over the telepathic bond.
Maybe we can rename it.
I like it.
Overeys.
Overees, you hear.
Perhaps a changeling?
Is there some obvious explanation for how a person could be reincarnated and then still be walking around?
I mean, there's a thousand things I don't know about magic.
And a thousand more that I'm sure are still yet to be learned.
Who knows?
Maybe it is legitimate, and there was two of them walking around the world.
And out of the telepathic bond, Red says to Cordelia,
sorry, so you're dead. He did this.
Did he lose a finger or a toe or what?
Yes. He gave, I think it was his left foot, one of his toes.
My left foot, right. Okay.
And you say three, ten day ago he died,
but two months ago they say he was revived.
According to their files, she shoots an angry,
glance over your shoulder at the receptionist.
Okay.
All right.
Well, look, I mean, we're here as kind, helpful, famous adventurers of Red's Rovers,
happy to, you know, look into this.
I'm sorry, I don't have any money.
Oh, well, never mind then.
Oh.
Red turns around.
Red.
Huh?
This is something that we are curious about as well.
Well, one of their agents came and tried to sell us this life assurance as well.
And we thought it sounded strange and were curious if it was legitimate.
So it would not be out of our way to look into this.
I mean, as long as it's not out of our way.
Exactly.
I'm not getting paid for it.
Well, if you want my advice, don't waste your money.
I think it's at that moment you look over and Doran's like looking at a pamphlet.
He looks up at the person of the desk.
He says, so if I decided to go with 10 revivals from pure and complete,
death and save the 15%? What kind of premium am I looking at? How many fingers or toes or whatever
do you need for me? There's no additional material cost, but you do have to pay. It's a slightly
discounted fee, of course, but it is a monthly. You'll see here is the price breakdown, and she
slides another pamphlet across the table towards you. Very complicated. Right, right. Look, listen, lady,
If you're not going to pay, sure, if we find your dad in between us and solving this little thing, we'll bring him to you.
Where are you staying?
There's a tavern just down the road.
Whoa, wait.
Not Trollsculpt tavern, is it?
Yes, I was staying at the wandering night, but they put me out.
Oh!
Well, say no more, say no more, of course.
We'll help you find your daddy.
No problem.
I mean, he's dead.
But we'll get to the bottom of whatever mystery this is and help you out.
A client of troll scholars, a client of Reds Rovers.
I had no idea it had such a reputation.
We're working on it.
Well, thank you.
Did anything happen two months ago with your father that could have resulted in his death?
Good question.
Thank you, Red.
Not that I can recall, he has a dangerous job.
He's a tour guide in the Knife River.
Abtly named. How'd he die?
Well, he died at work.
He stabbed to death in his hotel room.
He was like,
but as far as I can remember, two months ago,
he came back from work just fine.
Nothing at all was the matter.
Is it possible he died and was brought back,
but he was too embarrassed to tell you?
What a ghoulish question.
Ghoulish, you're talking about life and death here, lady?
Goolish line is way back that way.
We all knew about the deal, about this life assurance policy that he took.
He would have no reason to lie.
And besides, the people who he would have brought on these excursions,
they would have seen if there was some kind of misadventure.
Right, true.
Must they all died.
No, you're right.
Do you have records of who it was he was taking on these tours if we needed to cross-reference them for any reason?
I suppose I could send a raven.
What does he look like?
You know, in case we see him walking around ourselves?
Well, I've been told that I look quite a bit like him.
She gestures, she has, like, flaming red hair in ringlets and, like, green eyes,
kind of burnished bronze skin.
Fits in with the rest of the crowd.
Flaming red hair, green eyes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kind of normalish?
Normally, he's about six feet tall.
Um, his name's Marcellus.
Marcellus.
Marcellus Frost.
You got red hair and your last name's Frost.
That's funny.
Like my fur's old red.
My name is red.
That's not funny.
You don't get it.
Don't worry.
Yes.
You get the irony.
Correct.
Cordelia, I apologize for another goodish question, but do you know where your father's body is right now?
Yes.
We buried him.
My mother and sisters and I.
Here in Waterdeep?
No, we're not from Waterdeep.
We're from Amphale.
All right, all right.
Well, we will let you know one way or the other if we're able to find anything.
It's not clear how long we're going to be in town, but we will do our best.
Yes, you'll note the charge on your bill.
I'm sorry?
The charge. It'll be on your bill. Don't worry about it.
It's all covered.
I don't have money to pay.
No, no, what I'm saying is, what I'm saying is you don't need to pay us.
Because the charge will be on your bill.
Right?
No.
Red light looks at Temeel.
No.
Okay.
No.
Well, fine.
Whatever.
But you're not getting a mint.
Doran enters the scene.
Seeming like he's completely sold.
And he's like, guys, you know what?
For a thousand bucks, I can get saved 10 times.
Actually, it's not that bad of a deal.
That's what I was saying.
Haven't you still got some gold left over red?
Well, we could go on this adventure.
No, we're getting stiffed left, right, and center from people that don't want to pay.
All right.
Whim signs, what finger are you going to give up?
This one, and he holds up like a tip of his pinky.
No, not Pedy.
What, think about it, ten times?
Get rid of Edgar or Sal.
Pedy's got too many memories, darn.
Remember when you slammed him in the door?
I thought I asked you to stop naming my fingers.
Timul turns to Cordelia and says,
they're probably going to be at this for a while
so we'll let you know
thank you
that's Samantha
Red, stop naming them
she takes her leave of you and heads
up the staircase towards this
second level seems like there's
a like a seating area sort of beyond
where you can see yeah
look I'm just saying we don't have to charge her
but we're not going to be making any money
if we don't you know get a little bit of gold
for our efforts
Red do you haven't have an idea
how much one of these policies
She's in cost.
$300?
How did you guess that?
It's at top of my mind.
Hey, can I say something for a second?
I wish you would.
A quick detour, which is hilarious.
Today I was on a walk with Henry,
and we were just walking around and chatting as boy chats do.
And no joke, he pulled a me on me.
And I was like, finally enough, a quick depression segue.
We're talking about how expensive it is in the U.S.
to, like, do anything in a hospital.
And I was like, I was talking about like how I'm going to go see the doctor and it's free and it's great.
And that's why I love Canada.
And I was saying, have you any idea how much it is in United States to give birth to a baby?
And I used, you know, Marie.
I was like, if we had to give birth to Marie in the States, you know, how much would be?
He goes, a million dollars.
One million.
I was like, no.
But that's, that's, that's, it is a lot.
10% of that.
Or like 30,000.
But it was really funny because, because again, he like totally cut the wind out of my sales too.
I was like, it's like, it's like a million.
So yeah, Cordelia heads upstairs.
Tammiel will resume her course to the reception desk.
Mm-hmm.
Red will join as well.
Wim follows along.
Hello.
We're here for information.
Here, grab one of these.
I've been reviewing it.
He slides over a pamphlet.
I hope you weren't negatively influenced by that young woman.
She's deeply troubled.
Well, it is hard not to be a little worried, especially my friend here.
Doran is considering
taking out one of your multi-resurrection
policies. That's right. And to hear
that someone was,
if you'll forgive the pun,
stiffed,
thank you, Red. Out of one of theirs.
That is quite
good. Oh, thank you. Thank you.
Goolish, really.
Yes, it's one of those days, I suppose.
Well, our policies
are of course
confidential, so
I can't divulge the
specific details of that young woman's father's policy.
Suffice it to say that we concluded our terms of the agreement.
And really there's nothing for her to be upset about,
apart from, of course, her father's untimely passing after the...
After the...
Knife River?
Yes, after a terrible incident, I suppose.
At Knife River.
Yes.
I believe that's just off of the desert.
and river, a real actual river
in Fyroon. Of course.
We've been down it. Yes.
And listen, I
don't buy her for a second,
Red says, sitting leaning next to Temeel.
Between you and me,
nice lady who works here, I think she's
full of shit. I think what you guys
are doing is a up and up,
upstart. I believe you're through and
through, and Red gives a wink to Temeal
away from the woman.
Well, in that case, if you're interested in
making a purchase, I can of course
Uh, uh, uh, pencil you in for, um, an intake meeting if you'd like.
Well, hold on, let's not rush.
I've got some questions too.
Please.
Dorn sort of looks up from his pamphlet.
Anything at all.
Now, let's suppose I die.
You know, like really killed, you know?
Head off.
All.
She appraises your adventurer's gear and nods sagely.
Yeah.
How am I supposed to know?
you know, for real, that you actually do bring me back.
Because, oh, and this might be something that's lost on you,
maybe not everybody poses this,
I'd be dead, so I wouldn't have any real way to know.
Yes, of course, that is distinct truth, yes.
So sage.
If you are willing to peruse these testimonials, you can, of course, see for me.
For yourself, the fabulous news.
Before I was alive, I died.
Thank God, I'm still alive.
She gestures to the reception desk and presses like an arcane sigil on the center of the desk,
and there is like a flickering of light and the head and shoulders of a dwarven man.
Similar age to yourself, maybe 150 years old.
And he's...
Well, there I was on a very dangerous expedition with my family.
But my mother had the foresight to take out a bespoke family insurance policy
with the good folk of the sanatorium.
There is a terrible, painful business, I can tell you.
And that rock slide that wiped out my entire family was a bitter tragedy.
And he holds up his hand, and he's missing a pinky finger.
And he flicks it.
Fortunately, they managed to scrape up enough of me at least.
Here I am, pale and hearty, with a beard as long and early on them serious as the day I was born.
Seems pretty legit.
Would you like to see another?
Yeah, sure.
And a human man.
Oh, not this one.
Red whispers to Tamil.
I killed that one.
Next, next.
I was minding my own business on the road
when all of a sudden this terrible fox monster.
No, not this one.
That's probably the next one, yes.
I think, yeah.
I used to kill people for money.
Yeah, and there's like a variety of testimonials
that you're able to sort of cycle through different people
explaining the different terrible ways that they died
and how grateful they are for the services of the Thanatamancer
and it seems, you know, legit.
Look, this all seems pretty legit,
and we are excited through and through,
but I got to be honest,
we've been around the block a few times.
I really think we would be sold
if we could poke around back there, you know?
Maybe walk the halls.
A tour?
Yeah, see how the meat is made, so to speak.
Yeah.
Come on. And Red gives her the old red eyes.
Well, it's not strictly permitted.
Oh, but surely you can make a subsection, exception. What did I say?
Well, if perhaps you have some time, we could schedule a meeting for this afternoon.
Oh, I'm sure we could do it right now. And Red's like leading closer with every like half word.
So he's like weirdly close?
Roll a persuasion check.
Thank you.
She starts getting that cat, bra.
Roll it good.
Not great.
What'd you get?
14.
Oh, okay.
Could be worse.
I would be willing to take you on a private tour upstairs to our tapestry collection.
It's very interesting.
And she waggles her eyebrows at you.
Did the tapestries already die?
Well, there's no.
life or death in a tapestry, I suppose, unless you're thinking of the flax that they're woven.
Yo, no, I'm not really interested.
Does this seem like an offer she's making just her red?
No, she's making the offer to everybody.
But additionally, she's like pointing at something that you could go and walk and look at yourself.
Oh, okay.
Like that's where that other...
Like, do you want to see the tapestries?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, I can show you this that you can see.
Yeah, exactly.
ovaries, overeraries.
You hear Tamil go,
I think even if we just walked around
and got a layout, an idea of how big this place is
and, you know, where upstairs,
entrances and exits might be,
it could be helpful.
It also might give us a little more information
to then push her father.
Red responds in ovaries,
Righto.
And then in real life says,
all right, that sounds lovely.
Like he's getting something,
out of her.
Yeah.
Even though it's just upstairs and unguarded and just like the hall.
I think a special tour, just us three, just us four would be very interesting.
Thank you for that specialty.
He gives a wink and he slips a copper, like the lowest form, like, like, and slides across.
That's for you.
Chansy, I will be taking these fine folks on a tour.
if you don't mind watching the reception desk.
And he's like, yeah, okay.
Thanks, Trotsie.
I'm not doing another voice.
I don't feel like it.
Yeah, let's go with person.
Let's go with person see what's up there.
And then we can reevaluate.
So this older human woman gets up and sort of like sorts out her stuff.
She's so tall.
She's...
What are you, seven foot, eight foot?
Ten foot more.
She's like one of those folks who's got all the stuff
at her office desk.
She's got like the footrest and the warmer for her thing.
And she's got like her special glasses like rest on a chain.
So it takes her like a minute to get like sorted.
And then she like finally sort of shuffles out from behind the desk.
Right this way.
What was your name again?
Oh, me.
Name.
Name.
My name is name.
Amy
Amy!
Amy!
Amy!
Wow, what a strange name!
And she takes you upstairs
to the tapestries.
You know, I can't help but feel like reading the names of the Patreon supporters
is becoming longer than the episodes themselves.
So I'm going to try something a little different here and use some magic.
We would like to thank our Patreon supporters.

Bye bye.
A rural druid.
God damn you.
Sorry.
You couldn't.
Nick and I at the same moment.
As I said it.
Have you heard of his other work?
The urban fervor?
Sorry, Joe.
