Oh, noot too bad.
Attacking its master.
Kill him.
Maybe I have issues my eyes.
I don't, maybe.
Did you just kill your own NBC?
Nice.
Not looking good, folks.
No.
What the what?
I bite.
Oh, that's perfect.
Yeah, well, everyone rules a one once.
Oh, that's right here.
Get over here.
You manifested.
Welcome back to Dyshame. This is Season 3, Episode 8, Iron in the Fire.
MVP this week is Elliot from the Discord who said they've never been a fan of D&D,
but God, Disham has got them so hard, and now they crave to be a DM.
They're going to be running their own campaign, and we are so excited to hear about it.
That's amazing.
Congrats, Elliot. You are this week's MVP.
All right, should we play some D&D?
Yeah, let's do it.
Woo!
So I have a very brief story.
You know, we are.
having these rolling thunderstorms come through
as we've been talking about in the thunder rolls
it was really horrendous this afternoon
but like it also started our
morning off but here's
the kicker like I just had like
a hectic day because not only did it start
the morning off with like thunder
and lightning
very very frightening
and then rain
but then also my son comes in a bed like five
and the the
smoke detector battery
is dead and so it's like
Like every 30 seconds, and blinking.
So I, 5.30 in the morning, I run down to the basement, pull out the bin where the batteries are, like rifle through.
I grab the battery chart, like the battery tester.
I'm like, okay, these ones are in the green.
They're getting towards the orange.
Run back upstairs.
Plug them in.
It's like, okay, it turns green.
Lie down.
Okay.
All of a sudden, I haven't even got my eyes close.
starts flashing red.
Like, no, no, no.
I'm like, fuck.
I thought these matters are good.
I did that two more times.
Oh, no.
Until the point, I was like,
fuck it, I'm getting, like,
my wife went to the gym.
I said to my son,
fuck it, we're going to your bedroom.
We're going downstairs.
Oh, that's funny.
Well, I'm bed and your bed and we can love to stick a lot.
I mean, listen.
So overstimulated.
It's been a week for us too, man.
Like, it has been thing after a thing.
My computer, one of my drives just totally crapped out.
It was a 2 terabyte too.
And I needed it.
So it was like a run to the store, get a new one, get it installed, swap it in.
Then like almost back to back, the furnace crapped out on us.
They had the red tag it.
Yeah, it was leaking.
Yeah.
And then the service guy was like, hey, just so you know, we had like, legally I can't let you use this furnace this year.
Yeah, because it would put carbon monoxide in the house.
So basically they had to turn off the gas to it.
We had to buy an all new furnace.
And then the day after I was like, okay, we're going to relax.
And I went to grab a pop and I realized, and this is going to sound a little bit embarrassing.
But like the, because we keep sodas under the like the bar shelf.
It was never leaking.
Well, no, no, no, no.
Different level of embarrassing.
I noticed like stickiness on the floor.
And I was like, huh?
And I investigated.
And one of the cases of pop that we had bought by accident.
Sometimes the way they label stuff, it looks like it's a new flavor, but it's like a zero sugar or whatever.
We only drink no sugar sodas, so I accidentally bought sugar a while ago.
I ended up stashing at the back, you know, and forgot about it.
Sure.
And I guess one of the pops had leaked, and there was like mold and like the whole.
And it took forever, because it was kind of buried between other cases.
It took forever to like spring a leak all the way out to drip onto the floor.
But, oh my God, it was a nightmare.
And like, just when I was like ready to be like, cool, this will be chill.
and I ended up spending like two hours
like mopping and cleaning
and like the wood is warped
because of the molding and it was just like
and that's just the stuff that comes to mind
there's like, it's been,
that's a lot guys.
Yeah, and then a bunch of stupid niggly things too
like we just got our daughter a new bed
and there was a hole in the frame too.
Like I delivered it too.
A hole?
Like the box spring.
The box spring was ripped.
A hole in the box ripped.
It was just a dumb thing.
The guy didn't want to get it off the truck.
He was like,
come on.
He was like, well, I can't deliver it.
I was like, well, what am I supposed to do?
I can't, like, I've already taken out of the old bed.
Like, I'm not going to be like, sorry, Marie, sleep on the floor, you animal.
Anyway.
She would have done it.
Things are better now.
It's like, not to top it off, but like the same sort of thing.
I'm lying downstairs.
The movie's done.
I'm, my eyes are closed.
I'm just like, I got to go to bed.
And I'm hearing like, bloop.
Oh, no.
What is that?
Bloop.
I'm like, what is that?
If it's not a bleep, it's a bloop.
Yeah.
That's one of my biggest fears.
So I go and I check the water main and sure enough, this shit is like leaking like a sieve.
I'm not talking like bloop.
I'm not talking like drobble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, I don't know how long it's been going like that.
Shit.
So it's like midnight.
I go and I get my plumbing, you know, shit.
I like, tighten it out just enough that like, stop.
Oh, and then earlier in the week, we have a, we have a green bag day where like, you know, all the yard waste.
You know, you're like rake and stuff.
And like you could put that on the lawn on a certain day.
The garbage will pick it up.
I go to pick it up.
And I don't know if this is like in the United States,
but we have these fucking bags, these paper bags that you use.
The bottom falls out.
And the bottom like fell.
So I couldn't put it on the paper bag.
Did you guys like fail to forward a chain letter or like cross a witch or something?
Like what's?
But honestly, it did feel like that.
Like there, it was a series.
Because I also remember the other one.
I told Alex,
but I replaced my thermostat.
And when I undid the wires, they just went, blip, into the wall.
Oh, no.
And I was like, cut a hole in dry wall to retrieve them.
But, like, they were so taught.
So I had to break a hole in the wall lower to, like, fish the back up.
Matt, next week is going to seem like a fucking day at the beach for y'all.
Honestly, the kids are going back to school.
It's going to be the chillest.
Okay.
Well, because the kids have been off this week, too.
So, like, they're home every day.
I've been, like, working between naps, naps and snack times.
snacks and Marie just screaming and wanting to be a baby all the time.
She's the best.
Nick,
thanks for listening.
Oh, yeah.
I hope you had a good week.
Well, you had power outage.
Yeah, shit.
What the fuck happened?
All last week?
Oh, no, no, no, not all last week.
Just, I don't know how it works, but they do blackouts and brownouts if it's too hot.
And sometimes the extreme heat just causes, like, technical failure in, I don't even
know how it works.
But, yeah, we lost power.
My neighborhood lost power.
Oh, I found out.
It wasn't even my neighborhood.
Literally.
I am one house to the end of a block.
And then the next block over in like that direction all had power.
And then it was like the blackout extended further down the other way.
That's funny.
Were people standing on their porch like pointing and laughing at you?
No, not that I saw.
But I mean, I kind of stayed inside for a lot of it because it was hot.
It was very hot.
But, you know, it was.
was a freaking, I turned all the lights on because I had the windows open when I went to bed.
And I turned all the lights on so that with the power did come on in the middle of the night,
the air condition would pop on.
I would wake up so I could close all the windows.
And let me tell you, that feeling at 3 a.m., when the lights came on and the air conditioning was ready.
Oh, I imagine.
You probably had the windows close before you open your eyes.
You just said you were really bored.
Oh, my God.
I was so bored.
But it's okay.
Yeah, it's like, what do you do, right?
I mean, you could read, but you can only read for so long.
Well, here's the thing is I just finished.
You say, like, there's only so long you can read.
I literally just blaze through all of the dungeon crawler Carl books.
But I, like, I finished them, and so I didn't have anything just on standby to read.
But you bet your ass the next day.
I was like, get the books.
Get all the books.
So I have a ton of books I haven't read now.
And I just started rereading dungeon crawler Carl.
So dumb.
Why do brains do the audio books or did you do the?
Oh no, I'm reading.
I'm just reading them.
Did you like dungeon crawler Carl?
It's a huge hit now.
It's a huge hit.
It's one of those things.
I enjoyed it a lot.
I don't know if I would recommend it to everyone because it's very video game coded.
It's very like there's a lot of bro coded.
It's obviously written by like a white guy.
You know what I mean?
Like there's just a lot that you have to overlook.
But I was talking to my friend about this and I was like.
getting it to, you know the movie Pacific Rim?
Yeah.
I actually really like that movie.
Well, this is what I'm saying.
Like, I think you could acknowledge that it's not like a great movie, but it's a fun movie.
Yeah.
So.
Yeah, I listened to the third audio book.
Only the third or you listen up to the third?
No, only the third.
And I haven't really listened to it.
So before Malevolent, I worked for Soundbooth Theater who does all the dungeon crawler
caro books.
Oh, yeah.
So I proofread the third one.
I was the person who marked it for retakes and all that kind of shit.
I remember listening to being like, oh, this is kind of cool.
And like in the credits, even now, because it's become so big, there's a few people that are like,
I heard your name in the Dungeon Carly Carole book.
And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, like, I like proofread it.
I actually, so Matt Deniman wrote another series called Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon.
And that's in an audio book form, and I'm the bad guy in that.
I played literally the bad guy's name is the Canadian.
Jed, the Canadian or something like that.
Well, I'm glad that you have stocked up on books, Nick.
But for those of us who don't have books on the go right now,
maybe we should just play some D&D.
Oh, my God, such a good idea.
Or listen.
I've had enough of your threats.
You are provoking a power that may be more than you can handle.
Prove yourselves.
Accretors?
I knew it was going to turn into something like this.
What the what?
Finally.
And I would like everyone to please roll for initiative.
Okay.
Dun-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-da-da-da.
Okay, so there's a thing that I can do.
Okay, so because I did an insight check within the last hour on this horticulturalist,
because of my new zealous insight, I get to roll this initiative with advantage.
Phenomenal.
So that's what I'm going to do.
Guys, first combat of season three, I'm very excited.
Harlan, what did you roll for red?
12.
Great.
Five.
Great.
Oh, wow.
Whoa.
Okay.
Right?
And I thought, oh, it was bad.
On the outside.
Yeah, you got it.
Nick?
17 for old Tamil.
Look at you.
Nice.
too bad.
Baby Doran.
Phenomenal.
May this be an omen to a baby Doran.
May this be foreshadowing for our season.
He's reverting.
Fred!
Get him.
Kill him!
Phenomenal.
All right.
Nix is blazing with white fire.
They're human skin lying discarded on the floor.
And they're sort of like hovering up in the air, just maybe 10 or, you.
20 feet away from where you're all standing.
Top of the order, we have Temeel.
Okay.
Tamele is going to look at this horticulturalist.
She's going to remove static from her back and rack or shield.
And she'll say, you see how easy it would have been if you'd just been honest from the very beginning.
Now we can really get into it.
And I will cast hex on this horticulturalist.
Okay.
As a bonus action.
Does anyone have a care on what?
the ability that they lose power on is.
I'll take a guess.
Yeah.
I'll do wisdom.
So I will give the horticulturalist disadvantage on wisdom ability checks.
And then I'm going to take a fucking swing at this guy.
It's the 17 hit our friend.
So we.
A 17 does hit.
Nice.
Yep.
Okay.
So that is 22 damage.
I'm going to take another swing.
16, does that hit?
Does not hit.
Okay.
You found the AC.
That is my turn.
That's your turn.
All right.
Yeah, static fucking arcs through the room.
We see like the upper reaches of the conservatory flashing with light as it powerfully arcs and explodes into this creature's shoulder.
22 meaty points of damage.
Wow.
But next up is Nix's turn.
Oh, Nix.
If we can still call them Nix,
perhaps that was just their human name,
they are going to use a fun little spell
that I like to call prismatic spray.
Oh, yes.
Prismatic spray?
Mm-hmm.
Prism.
Like a prison?
Yes.
Yes.
As you watch, they almost refract all of the light emanating from their covering form, like condenses and then shoots out of their body in rage light.
I need everybody to make a dexterity saving throw, considering you are all within the 60-foot cone of relevant areas.
So dexterity saving throw, please.
24 for Tamil.
All right, pretty good, Timil.
20 for red.
Very good.
Pretty good, 24.
Very good 20.
Well, I was expecting less from you, so.
Burn.
I'm a dexterous little fox.
Not looking good, folks.
I got a 10.
A 10.
Not great.
A 10.
A 10.
Wim rolled a seven only as well.
So Doran and Wim fail
While
Red and Temeel succeed
Prismatic Sprine
8 rays of light flashed out from you in a 60 foot cone
Each creature in the cone makes a decks
Saving throw for each target
Roll 1D8 to determine which color ray affects it
Consulting the table
All right so we'll start
With Doran
Because you failed
Harlan can you put some rolling on the table music in here
Dara, da da da da da da da da da da da
Dara.
Doren, you are targeted by a violet ray of light
And on your failed to save
You have the blinded condition
No!
Yes.
Oh no!
So Doren, you have become blinded by this violet ray of light.
It means that you can't see.
You automatically fail any ability check.
that requires your sight and your attack rolls are going to have disadvantage. You do get to make a
wisdom saving throw at the end of your next turn. Next up, we got WIMM. She also failed her save
with a green ray of light affecting Wim. She throws up an arm in front of her face to try to protect her
eyes, but she is affected, unfortunately, by 12D6 poison damage.
Whoa.
Jesus.
Rolling that now.
53.
What?
Poison damage.
Yikes.
Did you just kill your own NBC?
I thought this was a dread peril.
She's got 68 hit points.
Oh, okay.
She's okay.
She's got 15 health left.
Well, all right.
But that sucked really bad.
Yeah, that's sucked.
That's a tough one to swallow.
Next.
Jesus.
Swim!
Yeah, that's a tough.
Poison damage.
Not great.
Does it look like she is poisoned as well as taking that damage?
No, but she does turn an unpleasant shade of green.
That's fair.
Tamil, outch, Tamil, you take 12D6 fire damage, although with your successful save, you
only take half damage.
Hell yeah.
So that is 39.
Jeez.
Man.
Whims damage, that rolled a five, a six, a six, a four, a six, a five, a four, a five, a four, a five, a four, a five, a four, a one, a two, of four.
That's a fuck ton of high damage for her.
Anyway, 39 damage for you, Temeel, that means you are going to take, what is that, 19 damage?
Ow!
Fire damage.
And finally, red, you are affected with a yellow beam of light.
You take lightning damage.
That's pretty good, actually.
Oh, fuck.
54 lightning damage, red.
Oh, my biggest fear.
So half of that, 27 damage, I believe.
All right.
Spicy.
Tell me about it.
And well-crisped.
You probably don't smell great.
Hey!
I resent that implication.
I smell delicious.
The creature then begins.
to move just a little bit away from you guys,
just to get a little distance.
Move south through the room a little bit.
All right, that is Nix's turn.
Red, you're up.
Red fires an arrow at Nix.
I'm going to try to attempt a beguiling arrow.
Okay.
To temporarily enchant the creature.
Enchant me, baby.
So at first I will have to attack.
I will not be using my Colossus Slayer as I really want this to hit.
Although, what was the DC, Nick?
You nailed it.
17.
I'm going to forego damage to try to beguile this round.
Get him.
Beguile.
Actually, I have two attacks.
Red fires an arrow.
It's going to be a regular high damage attack,
and I'm going to use my regular roll to hit first
to see if I can do some damage.
Let's see it happens.
If I do charm, I don't want to hit it.
That is probably going to miss.
The arrow bounces off the wall.
I'm rusty.
It's been a few 10-day guys.
I've got to be honest.
Maybe I'll charm it.
And red fires another magic.
arrow, a beguiling arrow for his second attack. Beguiled.
Much better. That is 23 to hit.
23 does hit. The creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2D6 psychic damage.
So let me roll my normal damage first just to get this out of the way.
Hell yeah. So that's 19 damage. Okay.
And then I'm going to choose one of my allies within 30 feet of the target. I will choose
Tamil.
Uh-huh.
The target must succeed on a wisdom-saving throw, or it is charmed by the chosen ally until
the start of the next turn.
Okay.
So, wisdom-saving throw on Nix with, I believe, disadvantage or...
No, because Nick, not Nix.
Nick is an idiot and did Hex instead of Bade, so this isn't, because if it's saving
throw, then it does not apply.
Oh, no.
I know.
Oh, it's like, how do you play a character, guys?
Apologies.
All right, let's not worry about it.
Straight up and down wisdom.
Here we go.
Guys.
I mean, don't.
That's 26.
Oh, yeah.
Damn.
Sorry.
All right, well, it still does some damage.
And then the prismatic, did it seem, honestly, I was trying not to medigame.
Did Red notice that the attack had some sort of area effect, or was it looking?
Did he?
And I can roll on this if you'd like.
Was there a way he could decipher trying to avoid that attack for next time?
Was it a distance-based?
You know what I mean?
Yeah, this occurred in a 60-foot cone.
so everyone was affected because y'all are clumped up.
Perfect.
So Red then uses his feline agility to move as far and as fast as he can.
He runs 90 feet to the other side of the room, double his movement speed for one round.
Fabulous.
At first of speed, he tucks himself up to a corner.
Fuck it.
If I aided whim at all, if I carried her with me.
So she is going to benefit from the new 5.5 rules in her round, which is going to occur right when you're finished yours, because she rolled a 10 on her initiative.
She gets to drink a potion as a bonus action now instead of a regular-ass action.
Yeah, then maybe Red will just say, Whimmy, get out of the area!
And as he runs by.
Yeah, fabulous.
So Wim just took a fuck ton of damage.
She's not doing great.
She sort of clutches her stomach and rifles through her pouch at her waist and pulls out a potion of greater healing.
Ugh.
Yeah.
Pulls out the stopper, chugs it down.
Oopsie, accidentally clicked it twice.
She only drinks one.
But she does regain 14 points of health.
Nice.
A little beefier.
Better than nothing.
So she's sitting down at the 39 now.
Not too bad.
That's her bonus action.
And then with her action, Wim is going to cast a cone of cold.
Ooh, yeah.
Considering this is a fiery beastie, hoping to use some of that elemental shit.
She unleashes a blast of cold air from her hands, forcing this monster to make a Constitution's saving throw.
That's 15, and Wim's spell save DC 17.
So we're good.
That's 8D8 cold damage.
We're looking at 27 total damage.
Not bad.
Fuck.
Considering this creature is vulnerable to cold damage.
We're going to double up on that damage.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
54 damage total.
And then she's going to use her movement to get the fuck out.
Yes.
GTF.
She moves north.
She goes to Canada.
She moves north.
That's right.
Dorin, you are up.
Unfortunately, you are also blinded.
What are you doing?
and red what's happening i i can't see anything you can't see anything what what are you what are you talking about
i i i've i've been blinded the thing's right in front of you about 30 feet to the southwest so you can
make an attack role against this creature you would just need to do with disadvantage so you can
like perceive the heat coming off of its elemental form you can hear it crackling and making attacks you can
be directed by your and your email and red are both like left no you're other left you're a lot
Damn it, Arthur.
It's right in front of you.
Oh, man.
Guys.
Guys, what?
I rolled a two and a 20.
Oh.
Guess which one I have to use.
You gotta forward those chain letters, man.
You just...
Yeah, it's all connected.
You gotta go.
You're missing them, Doran.
Yeah, you missed that first shot for sure, Doran.
Did you want to take another one?
Your other left.
Wait, left.
No, right.
I'm in right.
Damn it.
Like a foot.
Just a foot to the right.
A human-sized foot, not a dwarf-sized foot.
Now that I'm thinking about, I don't know if I should be swinging wildly.
Don't stand close by.
We're clear.
Swing wildly.
Okay.
A 22 to hit?
That's with disadvantage.
Yes.
Wow.
Hell yeah, you do.
Nice.
22 hits.
That's doing 17 points of damage.
Fantastic.
Oh, I feel like I grabbed something.
I hope that wasn't you, Red.
Whim!
Or whim?
Just kidding.
Just kidding.
You got him.
And Orksbletter being a great axe, do you have extra weapon masteries now?
Yes.
What does that do?
Attack a second creature within five feet.
So it doesn't affect.
Fabulous.
Great job.
Thanks.
Okay.
Top of the round.
Tamil.
So Tamil is going to look back at Wim as she runs over to where our horticulturalist is
standing. She'll look back and she will cast healing word at fourth level.
Whoa.
Wim is going to get back 23 hit points.
Sick ass.
Nice. What's the word though?
The word is...
Is it sick ass?
It's sick ass, she says. She looks back and she goes, sick ass.
Good cone of cold.
And then...
Sick ass?
Doris, what?
Whim, like, looks at me and hands signs.
Did I misunderstand that lip read?
And I'm, and Red's like, no.
Now it was sickass.
And because Healing Word is a bonus action,
so then she is going to take two swings at this mofo with fucking static.
Here we go.
21 for the first one, 26 for the second one.
Marvelous.
Let's go.
Two beefy hits in there.
37 damage to our friend.
Nice.
And that is my turn.
Creature is looking, starting to look bloody.
Oh, okay.
It's Nix's turn.
So Doren, you get to make a.
saving throw to try to regain your sight.
Ooh.
That's going to be a wisdom saving throw, please.
Cheek this time, Alex.
18.
No cheating.
Nice.
Yeah.
Until I die.
Yeah.
Your vision comes back.
Yeah.
During like blinks.
I winks.
There's a double blink.
Double blink.
Very poppy.
No, there's like that creamy stuff.
It's like creamy stuff.
Ew.
Ew.
What creamy stuff?
Yeah.
Why do you say that?
Yeah.
Why do you say like it's normal?
Gross.
You know, that creamy stuff.
Like, you know how when you're blood.
Old man.
Like, eye boogers?
Yes.
Why did I say creamy?
Like, we're all wondering.
Mucousy stuff.
Mucousy stuff.
That's not better.
Maybe I have issues my eyes.
I don't, maybe.
I'm learning that now.
In response to Doren being very disgusting.
Yeah.
Doren's eyes like, yeah, clutter open and he's like, they're all milky and creamy.
I can see again.
Stop.
In response to Doran being totally disgusting, Nix raises their arms to the sky and calls down assistance.
Oh, no.
Assistants.
Two fire elementals come into being.
One on either side, and they will take their turn-in initiative when they have a chance to.
Oh, no.
That's what's up.
Right, it's your turn.
All right.
Let's get this party started.
It's started already.
Who said that?
Whim signs it.
Whim?
I'm busy.
I'm trying to do a thing.
Stop.
Killing my vibe.
Red fires an arrow at Knicks.
Sing true little buddy.
He whispers to the arrow loudly.
It's a stage whisper.
Yeah.
No.
Ew.
What'd you roll?
That was worse than the first roll.
Oh, bro.
It's like not worth it.
It's like 14.
Oh, man.
So embarrassed.
And then for the second one, I will beguile.
I will go with my sharpshooter this time to do more damage, hopefully.
Okay.
That was worth it.
That is a dirty 20.
Nice.
Fabulous.
Hell yeah.
How much damage?
That is a, oh, oh.
Oh.
Okay.
Hachy-machi.
32 damage.
Oh, my gosh.
And they must make another wisdom saving throw.
All right, let's see how that goes.
Come on, you.
son of them.
They're very wisdomous.
Yeah, well, everyone rules a one once.
Oh, one!
Yeah!
Oh, Herman.
You manifested.
Yeah.
You did that with your mind.
I said it, right?
You said it, and I did it.
Yeah, everyone rolls a natural one.
You said.
You freaking said it.
Amazing.
Okay, Harlan, next time, say that I won the,
Jackpot for the lottery.
That's so funny.
Wow.
Shame on you, Purple Dice, first of all.
Shame, shame, shame, shame, shame, shame, shame, shame, shame.
Shame on you.
Whomst am I beguiled by?
Oh, so, yeah.
It would be the same target.
I'll pick that you're beguiled by.
The wording is so odd because most of the time when you like beguile or charm, it's you.
But for some reason with this spell, it's not me.
I have to pick another target that this person then favors.
Did you hit, are you hit Knicks?
Yeah, but a quick detour.
Does anyone know why that would make, like, why is that that way?
I think you can use it as a protective thing on a weaker ally, because an aggressor
won't attack a target it's charmed against.
I think it also makes sense because you are actually dealing damage during the attack,
so it couldn't be you.
That makes sense.
It couldn't be me.
I actually like that makes sense in my stupid brain.
What Nick said too, but I like the.
damage thing because...
Mechanic...
Yeah.
Like...
Okay, so yeah.
Blah, blah, blah, blah.
The target must succeed on the...
Or is charmed by a chosen ally into the start of your next turn.
The effect ends early if the chosen ally attacks the charm target, deals damage, or forces it to make a saving throw.
So basically it is charmed for this turn.
We have an opportunity to talk to it.
Maybe get it to send its minions back.
Charmed by one of your allies.
Who are you picking?
Doren, probably, right?
Why?
He's so charming.
Well, come on.
Wouldn't you want to put that in my hand?
I thought maybe it was like a mechanics thing.
First of all, Doran's not the most interpersonal.
But also, Tamil's already acted this round, right?
Yeah.
And dealt damage and et cetera.
And I guess ostensibly, we're going to go through everyone's turns before it gets back to your turn.
Well, put it this way.
Even if charm works on whoever I give it to next, like Doran, it's not going to be able to act to say, discard its minions.
until its turn anyway.
So really makes no difference.
I'm going to give it to Temeel
because I think Temeel has the highest persuasion
besides myself.
Cool.
Cool, cool, cool, cool.
So this lasts until the start of your next turn,
Red, or until Tameel forces it
to take damage or make a saving throw or something.
Into the start of my next turn, correct.
Yeah.
Oh, that's perfect.
Do you do anything else, Red?
Actually, you know what?
I'll drink a potion of greater healing as well.
I'm down to 54.
Great idea.
Drink up, young man.
your drink. It's a 44 plus four.
4d4 plus 4. The most fun amount of damage to say.
It's like 48, right? 44 plus 4. 44. 44 plus 4. 40.
Ew. 4. 4. 4. 4. 4. 4. 4. E.
8. E. E.
18 points back. Nice. Okay. It's Wim's turn next.
I'm thinking that Wim is going to avoid damaging Nix this turn and instead focus on the fire element.
because there's one directly in front of her and it looks like it's about to strike.
Yeah.
I got a cool spill called eye bite.
Oh, that I want to use, but it...
Let me guess.
Australian.
Eye bite.
Actually, it turns Wim's eyes into like a weapon.
Oh.
Your eyes become an inky world.
Good eye might.
Oh, yes.
Definitely use them.
Yeah, I'm just looking at spells for Wim.
because it's Wim's turn, but I think...
I bite.
Oh, easy, kid.
Just keep your fingers away, they bite.
I bite.
It's really funny.
It's really funny.
Yeah, okay, instead, I think Wim's going to cast Hold Monster.
Ooh, hold that fucking monster.
Wim's going to force the Fire Elemental that's standing right in front of her
to make a wisdom saving throw against paralysis.
This fire elemental
Rolled a two
No
With a plus zero to their wisdom score
Eat it
This fire elemental is paralyzed
For the duration
Which is up to a minute
Concentration
So she's basically took care of
One of these elementals right
Rock and roll
It's too bad William can't speak
Otherwise I could imagine her going
I bite
She
That wasn't an iPy.
She cast hold the monster.
Right, right, right, right.
Do the sign for fuck yeah.
Nice.
Because she knows her and Ork Splitter have been getting along.
Pretty good.
Fabulous, which is great.
And then Wim is, I think, going to probably just sort of back it up a little farther to try to stay out of range of any other attacks.
Next up, the fire elementals act, the one that was paralyzed, just kind of like wiggles in rage.
but does not act.
And then the one that is to the north,
so sort of adjacent to Doren and Temeel,
is going to come into range.
Nice.
They've got a 50 foot speed, so pretty good.
They're not going to target red, right?
They might, oh.
Oh, what are they going to get there in time?
I love how Joe just says it like she doesn't know.
Bring it on.
What are they going to do?
I don't know.
They might do, no.
Well, they might...
There's two choosy targets.
I was going to say, is 20 feet away.
Yeah.
There are two...
Versus 50 feet for one little thoughts.
But you are doing some real arrow damage.
Anyway, the fire elemental hoves over towards Temeel and Doran and then makes two burn attacks.
Burn.
You're so ugly.
You suck and smell bad.
Doren, 21 to hit you.
That does.
And then 14 to hit you with the second one.
So I presume that misses.
Yeah, miss.
Hit and miss.
So the first attack deals seven fire damage to you.
And it ends its turn there, which means that each of you take damage from its fire aura automatically.
Or what?
Orra, you die.
How much?
Each creature in a 10-foot emanation
originating from the elemental takes.
You're going to take six fire damage
just for being around it at the end of its turn.
And another new rule, you start burning.
Oh.
So at the beginning of each of your turns,
you're going to take 1D4 fire damage.
And then if you like,
you can take an action to stop, drop, and roll
or otherwise extinguish your.
yourself, jump in water, et cetera.
Oh, interesting.
But if you do nothing, you're going to continue burning automatically.
They're making it real realistic here, eh?
It's getting a little crunchier.
All these fucking rules.
You know, I can't help but feel like reading the names of the Patreon supporters is becoming
longer than the episodes themselves.
So, I'm gonna try something a little different here and use some magic.
