Hey, you! Come over here! Sit down!
So, you've missed that on the first season of Dice Shame, eh?
Don't want to go back and listen, eh?
Well, I can't blame you. Well, here's what you missed.
In the realm of Fé Rune 4 adventurers headed to a town called Nightstone.
There was me, red-handed Robin, a Tabaxi Ranger with a cheery disposition.
Kralov, a human grave cleric with mysterious origins.
origins. Dora and Iron Fist, a Dwarven fighter with a past filled with war and strife, and
Jack Page, a wizard from water deep with dreams of living a simple life as an archaeologist.
When we arrived in Nightstone, we found the residents gone. Large stones had been dropped seemingly
from the sky. It turned out cloud giants had come and stolen something called the Night Stone.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, where are you going? What are you doing? Sit back down.
Sit back down. Come on. It's a good story. Trust me.
Just, just, just listen.
After that, while travelling, we were picked up by a giant floating cloud castle,
the owner of which was a cloud giant named Zephyros.
He told us that he had been speaking with extra-planner entities, basically gods,
and that we were part of a great reordening.
See, the ordaining is basically how the giants all get along,
the system in which they are ranked, more or less.
Storm giants at the top, then cloud, then frost, fire, stone, and hill.
But their god, Anam, the old father, decided to forget all that and threw their whole giant world into chaos.
It was up to us to figure out how to reorder the giant kind.
After a hill giant battle at Goldenfields told us the seriousness of the problem,
we headed to Waterdeep to seek out a dragon expert.
After all, dragons had thought giants before, and they may have some sage advice on how to defeat them.
There we met Jack's boyfriend, Torin, and his tavern, the Copper Cup Vest Hall.
This dragon expert led us to a wise green dragon named Claude Gilematar
who told us to watch for a frost giant that wears a skull of a dragon on his head
he would show us the oracle at the spine of the world
and speak with them about how to best solve this old problem
Oh come on I'm getting to the best part
Just look what do you want I'll buy your drink okay
Look sit down free free drink for anyone who wants to hear my story
Come on, sit down
Get one over here
Yeah yeah yeah okay
Oh
Oh
Oh
drank that so quickly
Okay
You have to wait now
Let me finish now
After that we tackled the first challenge
The Hill Giant Stronghold
It was an awesome battle
Which we ran away from
But we came back swinging
And after defeating their chief
We found a strange magical conch shell
Meanwhile we had learned that
Kralath had come from a sect called the Knights
of the Eternal Order
And he was like a thousand years old or something
His soul was trapped in a cave within the Grey Peak Mountains, and he was unlikely to ever be whole without it.
Doran, the skilled blacksmith, revealed, but not to the party at first, that he had lost a number of men under his watch, and that he felt guilty about it.
Red, that's me, had a mysterious number of dealings in the city, and afterwards was tracked down by my estranged daughter, honeybee of the meadow.
Finally, Jack, after failing at the hill giant's fort, summoned an imp, which caused a great deal of mischief for the party.
In the high forest, I...
Hold on one second.
Shut up!
I'm telling a story!
Sorry about that.
In the high forest, we attended a lovely wedding
and met a giant slayer named Quinn,
who gave us some handy magic items
to help us defeat the giants.
Some troublesome dwarves in the nearby town of Jalanthar
were ruining the countryside in the name of killing giants,
but before dealing with them,
we spotted our frost giant target and had to leave.
This frost giant, harshnag,
led us to the spine of the world,
where we spoke to the oracle,
and were tasked with returning a number of giant relics that had been taken.
A dragon airship took us around Fyroon as we collected the artifacts,
but it was destroyed when that great nightmarish creature attacked us,
killing our friend Kraloth, who was revived by a cursed shield, he carried.
As the party recovered from that scare, we met Jack's mom in Silvery Moon,
found out that Kralth was now undead and learnt that red,
that's me again, was an assassin.
Sorry about that.
And that I had originally been hired to kill Doren, but I changed my mind.
Oh yeah, and I've been having these really, really weird dreams.
With a bounty still on Doran's head, we returned to the Oracle with the items
and were told the four locations around Fyroon that housed the giant strongholds.
And after a short respite at our base of operations,
Kralath removed the curse and passed away.
We met a new party member named Mari, who's a lovely water person,
and we returned to Waterdeep to plan our next move.
Well, that's where you come in.
Season 2 of Nice Shame starts.
Well, this Thursday, give it a listen.
I'm sure you'll like it.
Martender, another bear!
