Starting point is 00:00:00 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, hey there. Fancy seeing you here. Been a while, eh? That long? Oh, boy. Well, I better catch you up. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:00:13 Sit down. No, sit, sit. Sit. I insist. Right. So, where did I leave off? Well, uh, you remember Jack, the half-elf wizard, right? And Mari, the Wadhajanasi druid.
Starting point is 00:00:27 And my best friend Dor and the dwarf fighter, of course. And, well, you recall yours truly. Red-handed Robin, the handsomest Tabaxi Ranger you've ever bought a drink for. Yeah? Barkie. One more. On my friend here. Well, it all started simple enough.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Find a missing fellow in Waterdeep's dock ward. Easy job, right? Ha! Instead, we uncovered a plot to kidnap a visiting prince from the Moonshaye Isles named Kavin Zathendrick, and stopped it during a fancy noble party. Though we didn't get so much as a thanks from him, that jerk is still out there. While that seemed important, we were itching for the road. So, we headed east to deal with the stone giants.
Starting point is 00:01:08 We picked up a mysterious little halfling named Veranda, accidentally discovered an ancient buried gnomish city called Zozumvoffel, fought an angry lightning-powered metal lizard, and found the hidden mountain city of Slatefeld. That was surviving thanks to the connection to the gnomes. Not bad for a week of travel, eh? Oh, and before we left, we helped Veranda settle things with a trio of hags called the Midnight Carnival, and then she stayed behind while we marched straight into the
Starting point is 00:01:34 stone giant fortress. We snuck all the way to the heart of dead stone cleft, defeated the stone giant ruler, Calithica, rescued a clever little gnome named Ellister Noggins, and I only made one tiny mistake. I touched a magical stone that could answer any question in the world. Sure I thought about giants and how to stop them, but the truth is, I asked the only one I ever really cared about. Who took my ears?
Starting point is 00:01:57 The answer was Mithrin. Whatever the hell that is. Afterwards, well, I thought defeating the stone giants would bring a bit of light to the party, but things only got darker after that. We thought, while we were out in the Great Peak Mountains, we'd fulfill our friend Kralov's dying request and set he and his brother's souls to rest. On the road there, however, dragon cultists attacked us
Starting point is 00:02:20 while trying to hatch the ancient silver dragon Clarion's eggs. Elister died protecting us. But Mari managed to bring him back, although her magic wasn't exactly right. He came back as a Duragar instead of a gnome. He had a tough time with that one. Then we visited Doran's hometown, Scarborough, and uncovered years of lies, corruption, and murder, orchestrated by his own cousin, Gautier Brighthelm.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Doran finally learned that he hadn't been responsible for the deaths of his younger brothers, a lie that haunted him all these long years. Anyway, after laying our friend Kralov's soul to rest, Ellister nearly died again and decided adventuring wasn't quite worth it. Can't say I blame him. We did, however, gain a new companion, a silent girl named Wim. Powerful beyond her years and cursed by the same dragon cult to die young. Don't worry, we'll find a way to help her.
Starting point is 00:03:13 We finally returned to Waterdeep hoping for a little peace. Instead, Jack's love Toren left him. Mari received a terrifying vision of the Shadowfell's impending war, and Doran Wim and I... Well, we wished upon a wishing moon. It was a lovely night. Then came the fire giants. We headed north searching for another magical conch and learned Duke Salto was rebuilding the Voningdard, an ancient giant war machine.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Before we could stop it, disaster struck. Jack was sadly killed. The Vonendod wasn't just a machine. It was awake. And Mari, well, she ran. And just like that, Red's rovers became red, Doren, and in the world. Wim. In the little town of Dead Snows, we met Tamil, a warrior whose entire adventuring party, including his sister, had been slaughtered by Duke Zolto. Not only that, but she had been recruited
Starting point is 00:04:06 by the same cloud giant that recruited us, Zephyros, and, well, she knew what Mithrin was. Turns out it's a local name for an island in the Moonshay Isles. Can't think about that now. together we swore revenge, recruited a strange gnome artificer named Witted Wigwammer, earned the trust of an orc tribe named a thousand fists, negotiated for magical protection against iron slag's unbearable heat, and infiltrated the fire giant's fortress itself. There, we learned the giant's first target wasn't some random kingdom.
Starting point is 00:04:41 It was Silvery Moon, Widdid's home, Jack's home. His mother, Lady Kamara Lailathar, still lived there. With aid from the Duke's son, Zoltamber, we stole the key controlling the von Dodd right out from Duke's bag and escaped by the fur of my severed tail. After that, it became a race against time. We rallied dwarves from Fellbar, uncovered a tower corrupted by the Shadowfell, rescued Chaos Hammer from possession, and found Doran's desperate plan had actually worked.
Starting point is 00:05:11 The Von and Dot had become trapped from the mudslide on the mountains. We climbed aboard the walking fortress, which shrank ourselves down to explore its impossible interior, and discovered its mind, an ancient intelligence was named Najidras. When we finally reached Silvery Moon, we were told by Lady Laylathar that a drow had stolen the city's magical defenses. After hunting her down and killing her, her final words revealed that she was not only hired by Duke Zolto, but by someone connected to the Shadowfell. Whoever's behind all this, they're still out there. Anyway, we defeated Duke Zolto.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Timil got the killing blow, the fire giant. broke ranks, and the city was saved. Afterward, we all gathered in a tavern, finally able to breathe. Witted revealed to us that he made a choice that none of us really expected. Rather than destroy the Von andod, he would give her a new home. Inside Bessie, his fantastic suit of armor, leaving the von and dodded empty shell forever. Then, Elister showed up, having answered our call for help. We toasted absent friends, fallen heroes, and the battle still waiting for us.
Starting point is 00:06:16 because we've only defeated three giant fortresses. The frost giants still march, the cloud giants still scheme, the storm giants still rule. And besides that, it seems like something in the shadows is still pulling the strings. Anyway, don't worry, plenty more adventures to come. On this season of Dyshein!
Starting point is 00:06:43 What's Dyshame? Ah, you wouldn't understand. It's all meadowed stuff. Where's that trick? Party! Hey!
