Auto Parts.
I started accepting myself.
That's a shift, Sean.
I had a lot of similar issues.
I thought I was ugly growing up, too.
I didn't even look in the mirror for 10 years.
Yeah, it was bad.
I would go to school with toothpaste on
my face. I didn't even know. By the way, I love that. I missed with my toothbrush and I
brushed my cheek instead of my teeth. Wherever you guys are watching this show,
I would truly appreciate it if you follow or subscribe. It helps a lot with the algorithm.

Truly means a lot.
Thank you guys for supporting, and here's the episode.
All right, guys.
We got one of the craziest stories I've ever heard of on the show today.
Barry Shore.
I went on his show.
It was amazing, man.
Thanks for coming on.
Good day, beautiful, bountiful, beloved, immortal beings, and good-looking people.
Now, Sean, wonderful Sean Kelly, how can I make the categorical statement that the hundreds of thousands,
maybe even millions of people that are watching this are all good-looking?
Because by definition, if they tune in to see this digital podcast hour, right,
it means they're always looking for and finding the good in life. That's the definition
of a good looking person, looking for and finding the good. Right. Positive mindset, right? That's
everything. To be positive, purposeful, powerful, and pleasant in the world is a key to living well.
And you do, Sean. We live well in the world, don't we? We do. Because we love life. We love it. But
that mindset shift happened for me probably at 24.
When did it happen for you?
Interesting you ask.
In my particular case, it was the age of 16.
Okay.
And I'm 75 now chronologically.
So thank God I've been, not only did I do the shift,
and by the way, I got to tell you something.
It's the title of my latest book, O Shift.
I've been working with people for more than four and a half decades.
And 97.2% of all the people I work with, they drop the F in shift and the other stuff happens.
So you got to be careful with your F's, John.
So yeah, the shift took place.
And the genius of the shift is, as you know, is that now you get to work with it regularly
and to build a plan.
It doesn't just happen
and goes away right it happens and now the work begins and now you can live day by day and grow
yeah i think it's important to be aware of your thoughts rather than have your thoughts control
you oh absolutely that's the reason i'm here with sean kelly, yes, we are sympatical and we're sharing this with the world. Yeah.
And we're here today, by the way, to cause a shift in humanity, a shift in the energy of the world.
I'm making a very big statement because we're going to learn before our time is up today how to love dog poop.
Really?
We're going to learn to love dog poop and we're going to shift the energy
of the world. How do you like that? Is that a big promise? That's relatable, man, because I pick up
my dog poop every Sunday and I used to dread it. I used to hate it. And now I ground with the earth
while I'm doing it. I don't mind it as much. It's definitely a mindset shift. Right. And now we're
going to learn how to love dog poop. Oh, so that's another step.
Let's hear how I'm going to get there.
Well, you're going to hear it later.
Okay.
We'll save it for the end, guys.
So what happened to you at 16?
It was a realization that I wasn't ugly.
Everybody goes through teenage years.
Yeah.
Girls, boys, everybody has angst, right?
Called teenage angst.
And I was shrinking from myself.
I didn't find myself particularly attractive.
I had a cousin who was very handsome.
And girls flocked to him.
And they came up to me and said,
can you introduce me to your cousin?
And it was great.
I said, what about me? I didn't say that. What about me? And it was great. I said, what about me?
I didn't say that.
What about me?
So he was handsome.
I was regular.
And at some point, I realized I had talents that other people didn't.
He certainly didn't.
And I began to not dislike myself.
And that was the shift.
I said, oh, wow, Barry Shore.
That's cool. You can do that. And that was the shift. I said, oh, wow, Barry Shore. That's cool. You can do that.
And people liked it. So it wasn't that I was accepted by others. I started accepting myself.
That's a shift, Sean. I had a lot of similar issues. I thought I was ugly growing up too.
I didn't even look in the mirror for 10 years. Yeah, it was bad. I would go to school with toothpaste on my face. I didn't even know. By the way, I love that. I missed with my toothbrush and I brushed my cheek instead of
my teeth. Yeah. I feel like it's common though, because you see your friends getting girls,
you see your friends in social circles, and you feel like you're kind of worthless sometimes. Yeah, so to be able to appreciate me, that there's something here about,
and we're doing this because we love every single person who's listening here.
The reality of what we're talking about today is that every person makes a difference.
I call Sean a madman.
Why?
Because mad stands for make a difference see when we talk
about we weren't he was on my podcast now i'm here i'm talking about the three fundamentals of life
which are number one life has purpose and when you lead a purpose-driven life number two happens
that's a good number two you go mad you make a difference in life you lead a purpose-driven life
you make a difference in life right yeah and the third is to uncover the power and the secrets of everyday words and terms.
I'll give you a simple example.
Right now, maybe a million-plus people are watching this or will be sharing it on TikTok or something,
and that's all carried over the Internet, right?
If you ask anybody, what does WWW stand for?
It says it's over the Internet.
Factually speaking, they're correct.
But in our world, Sean, in the world of world of people watching www stands for what a wonderful world and one of the greatest
words that you ever learn to internalize utilize and leverage in your life is smile look at sean
kelly when he smiles what yeah because smile stands for Seeing Miracles in Life Every Day.
Seeing Miracles in Life Every Day.
And I am privileged and privy to be able to see miracles,
because you know my story, and I'll even tell her if you want me to.
Yeah, please, because some people don't know your story.
Okay, so it's...

Story about me, and I tell it because I encourage people to find strength within themselves.
So imagine if you can.
I'm now 75 years old.
This happened 20 years ago. I was 55.
I'm standing in the morning completely healthy
and hearty, able to leave tall buildings
in a single bound. And that evening
I'm in the hospital, totally,
completely paralyzed, my neck down.
And it was not an automobile
accident. It wasn't a spinal injury.
It was a rare disease I never heard
of the day before. Took over my body
and rendered me quadriplegic. Quadriplegic means nothing moved from the spinal injury. It was a rare disease I never heard of the day before. Took over my body and rendered me
quadriplegic. Quadriplegic means nothing
moved from the neck down. Couldn't communicate
by blinking my eyes. Wow.
I was 144 days in the hospital.
I was in a hospital bed in my own home
for two years. I couldn't turn over by myself.
I was in a wheelchair for four
years. I had braces on both
my legs from my hips to my
ankles. Big things I carry around for years.
And that was progress. Thank God today, I'm able to be vertical and ambulatory with the help of a
seven foot walking wand right here. And I'm a tripod, not a biped. I can't walk up a stair
by myself. I can't walk up a curve by myself, But I've helped 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
But you hear my voice.
Positive, purposeful, powerful, and pleasant because of this one word.
Smile.
Seeing miracles in life every day.
And the ability to do that, no matter the circumstances,
is what really makes a difference in life
and enables every single human being to make a difference,
to contribute, to do something to benefit.
I've got to tell you a quick story, though.
My eight-year-old niece comes over to me a few weeks ago, and she says,
Uncle Barry, Uncle Barry, can we spell smile, S-M-I-E-L?
I thought about it.
Smile, smile, sounds the same.
Why not?
I asked her, how come?
She says, because then it would stand for seeing miracles in everyday life.
An eight-year-old.
But what was she doing?
She was creating the kind of world she wants to live in.
Now, you know this, Sean, because we've talked about it before.
Create stands for causing, rethinking, enabling all to excel.
It's the rethinking.
It's that shift in perspective, right?
And when you do that, now you can let in the six most important words you'll ever utilize, learn, and leverage in your life, which are choice, not chance, determines your destiny.
How you choose to respond in any given situation will not only choose your path in life, but the trajectory.
And this is really critical.
I mean, let's take a look at you. You've had stuff happen. You told me your father didn't just pass away. He committed suicide. How you chose to respond and not go into depression
speaks a lot about Sean Kelly and how he came out of it. And how he's flying high.
How he's making a difference in the world.
Am I right?
Yeah, and I think five years ago,
I probably would have went into depression
with the mindset I had at the time.
Right.
It's too easy, isn't it?
Yeah.
It takes work.
It's a four-letter word ending with K.
So, you know,
you got to be working on these things.
You asked me when it happened for me.
16.
Well, I've been working on it now for the past 60 years.
And it gets better.
That's what life is about.
Life is a great acronym.
It stands for living inspirationally for eternity.
See, when we realize that we're not here just for now,
and I'll have fun at the moment, right?
Yeah, that's nice.
But what are you doing to live for eternity?
Because your actions make a difference in the world, don't they?
Right.
Your kids, your grandkids.
Well, God willing, people have kids and grandkids.
Right.
And we know something about real life.
Everybody knows that if you speak about things,
but you don't act that way,
you're not going to make a difference in the world.
There's a great quote from somebody named Dr. Albert Schweitzer.
You can look him up, everybody.
Dr. Albert Schweitzer, he said,
example is not the main thing in influencing others.
It's the only thing.
We lead by example.
Am I right?
Yeah, we do.
It's the key.
How you respond in any given situation,
how you choose to live life in a positive, purposeful, powerful, pleasant way.
This is really critical, again, to learning how to love dog poop and learning how to live life to
the full. I got to tell everybody, I use a lot of four-letter words. I even use the four-letter F-U word.
I do it for the shock value, and it's fun.
Now, the four-letter words that you and I use, Sean,
because we live in the world of the positive, purposeful, powerful, pleasant are
love, life, hope, free, gift, play, pray, swim, which we'll talk about.
And the four-letter F- u word is fun fun f u capital n
capital n now some people watching say hey barry shaw funds only spelled with three letters not
in our world our world's well f u capital n capital after this interview and you see your
family and friends you want to point your finger and have a twinkle in your eye and smile in your
face say f you everybody but add capital n capital n so we're talking about so i was watching sean You want to point your finger and have a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face and say, F you, everybody.
But add capital N, capital N.
So what are you talking about?
So I was watching Sean Kelly and he had on Barry Short.
He wants to teach the world to F you.
Capital N, capital N.
Have fun and live life with purpose.
Am I right?
Yeah.
Purpose is important.
It's everything.
Yes.
It's a key to living well.
Yes. It's a key to living well. Yes. What I'd love to do, with your permission, because I know we have a short time together,
and I really appreciate being able to do this. I want to talk about shifting the energy of the world right now.
From where we are, we're in a studio in a place called Las Vegas, Nevada.
The world needs and is asking for positive,
purposeful, powerful, pleasant
energy. Am I right? Yeah.
We can do that right now, Sean.
Let's do it. I'll tell you how we're going to do it.
Okay, here. I'm going to hold this up.
Actually, you hold that one up
and I'll hold this one up, right? Hold it up
to the camera so everybody can see. It keeps smiling
card and has a smile
card. On the back of that keep
smiling card that Sean's holding up has a
wonderful discussion of
the value of a smile and how it doesn't
cost anybody anything. It's good to give it away
and it's wonderful. On the back of this
card reading S-M-I-L-E
it reads
seeing miracles in
life every day. Wow!
Pretty cool.
So here's how we're going to shift the energy of the planet, Sean.
This card, the Keep Smiling card, and this card, and a number of others,
are available on my website.
May I mention my website?
Yeah.
It's BarryShore.com.
B-A-R-R-Y-S-H-O-R-E.
BarryShore.com.
Go there. There's a lot of wonderful free stuff
what I'd like you to do is go to the top of the page
and you can click on the keep smiling button
from that keep smiling
button you'll be able to go to a site
where you can send out for free
that keep smiling card
or the smile card and a number of others
no cost so I'd like
people to do how many people watch your show?
Millions of people.
Well, let's take
10 million people watch the show.
10% of that is 1 million.
10% of that is 100,000.
Let's take 1%
of the listening audience. Watch this.
We're going to shift the energy of the world
with 1% of your listeners and
watchers. 100,000 people.
Go to the website.
Click on the Keep Smiling.
You can send to five friends.
No cost.
It will take you all of, what, two minutes, three minutes?
Just go in there, chink, bing, bing, five people,
and send it out on a Monday because it's Monday.
Who doesn't want to get a Keep Smiling card on a Monday, right?
Yeah.
And then go back on Thursday and send it out to five more people
who doesn't want one for Thursday because they're coming up to the weekend.
Now you have 100,000 people sending out 10 cards in a week.
That's a million cards in a week.
Not cards.
We touched a million people with a positive, purposeful, powerful message.
Do that for 10 weeks.
That's a million people a week.
That's 10 million people, right?, powerful message. Do that for 10 weeks. That's a million people a week. That's 10 million people, right?
Now watch this.
10 million people, 10% of those will say,
this is cool.
I can send out cards to people and touch them and say,
did I tell you how much I appreciate you?
Now we have 10% of those 10 million.
It's a million people.
And they do that twice a week.
That's five.
That's 10 million cards in a week.
10 weeks, that's 100 million people.
Jeez.
And now the third iteration
is only now 10 million.
We'll touch a billion people.
After three times of just doing this
and that starts with 100,000 people
watching your show.
Wow.
It will touch a billion people.
We'll shift the energy of the world
sean wow that's impressive i like how you broke it down is this and it it will take it doesn't
take you'll invest a few minutes of your time twice a week every no need to complain don't
complain don't blame and say the energy is off. Make a difference.
Right?
Go mad.
Absolutely.
So that's what we want to do.
We want to shift the energy of the planet.
Let's do it.
I'm all about that.
I'm all about energy, man.
And that's why I mentioned it.
The reason I'm here today is because we are energy.
Right?
We're sharing it right now.
We're on frequency.
Yeah.
And the beautiful thing about AM and fm is all about frequency modulation
amplitude of energy and making sure that we're together and doing things that's what your show
is all about the reason i'm here is because i love what you do thank you you hear me i love what you
do now with your permission because i know you wanted me to talk about this um you said barry
can you can you give us some practical things
that people can do in addition to shifting the energy of the world
just by going to BarryShaw.com, keep smiling, and send them out.
So I prepared three things that people could do in their own life
to make a difference.
Ready?
Yeah.
Number one, BLAB.
BLAB, I like acronyms.
BLAB stands for breathe like a baby.
So what does that mean?
So when I usually I'm talking to audiences out in the real world and such,
not that there's not real in the world.
I recently did a show.
We had 1,172 people in the audience.
Wow.
And I'm talking about breathing.
I said, how many people
here breathe every hand went up because hello i'm not breathing i'm not alive i mean what about
breathing by the way i know inside stuff about sean he's he's into deep breathing now and oh
yeah great technique so i'm talking about what people do regularly is we call shallow breathing
just to stay alive what we're talking about with Blab, breathe like a baby,
is babies breathe into their diaphragm.
Now, when I talk about diaphragm,
99.2% of the people I ever talk to
have no idea how to spell it or where it is in the body.
Okay, we'll talk about tummy breathing.
That's what we'll call it that.
When you breathe in deep through your nose
into your tummy like a baby does and then let it out slowly through your mouth,
if you do that four times in a row, just gently,
you will shift the energy in your own being.
Wow.
Four times?
That's it.
It takes 94 seconds.
And I teach people do it before noon and once afternoon.
I do it almost first thing in the morning and before I go to sleep.
Before I go to sleep, this is what I do.
And it will shift your energy in such a way that you'll be calm,
you'll be listening, you'll be able to communicate better with someone else
or even especially yourself.
So breathe like a baby.
That was one practical.
Number two, you're going to love this, Sean,
because you're going to do this with wonderful Ariel.
You ready?
Yeah.
Skip.
Skip.
Did he say skip?
Skip.
Now, girls like this usually more than guys.
But imagine you're walking down the street with Ariel.
I urge you to hold her hand, which you're going to do anyway.
But all of a sudden, they say, Arielle,
let's start skipping. Half a
block. It will shift
your energy, Sean, because
you'll start laughing together.
And when you have laughter,
you have the ability to communicate on a
higher level. Am I right? Yeah.
Laughter opens you up, right? Opens you up.
So you skip
just, again, half a block.
Now, if you don't have somebody else,
skip by yourself, everybody.
Skip.
But if you can hold onto somebody's hand on the right,
and even better, hold onto another person on the left,
and oftentimes, I have two grandsons,
so I do this now.
I can barely walk because of my situation.
So I can't skip anymore, but I urge them to skip.
But if you can skip and hold on to somebody
on your right and your left,
and now three people are skipping,
I'm telling you, you will shift the energy
of these three people,
which makes a difference in the world.
Skip stands for seeking kindness,
improving positivity.
How do you like that?
I like that.
I used to skip a lot as a kid.
Well, you skipped school.
Yeah.
Yeah, that too.
No, I think skipping is really fun, man.
Yeah, skipping, because look, walking is a wonderful thing.
I can barely do it, and I'm glad I am honored that the good Lord said,
you can walk a little bit, Mr. Shore.
I don't have to be in the wheelchair all the time.
Walking is great.
Running, okay, I can't do that.
But I will interrupt myself and tell everybody,
I learned because of my situation of getting back some of my upper body strength.
I can't get up from this chair right now by myself.
But I learned through aquatic therapy how to swim.
So I'll make the story very short.
I could barely move anything in my body. I now
swim two miles a day, six days a week. And I've been doing that for 14 years. So I'm going to put
this in perspective. We're now in the year 2024 and in the month of April. So in the month of
February of 2024, because I write down every half mile, mile, two miles that I've been swimming over the years,
I just broke 9,501 miles.
Wow.
That's a wow.
Why?
Because when I do a little video, 55 seconds,
and I post it, I'm not swimming for me,
even though it helps me be healthier.
I'm swimming for all the people in the world who say,
I can't.
I can't.
Yes, you can.
I was a quadriplegic.
I'm now swimming two miles a day
hey i have to wear paddles i use a snorkel i have this special stuff in my leg who cares i swim
now i promise everybody to learn to love dog poop let's hear it okay
this is going to help shift the energy of you and the world.
So we love acronyms.
I said there's three things that we talk about
that will make you happier, healthier, and wealthier.
Life has purpose.
Go mad.
Make a difference.
And unlock the power and the secrets of everyday words and terms
when we find the positive. So dog poop stands for doing of good, power of one person.
Doing of good, the power of one person.
Let's unlock it.
Everybody has heard of Gandhi, Mandela, Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman, Mother Teresa, big names, big people.
They made a difference in the world, right?
One person.
Here's the amazing thing, Sean, and I can prove it.
Who created you?
My mom.
The good Lord.
Yes, well, your parents.
Yeah.
The good Lord.
You were created.
The good Lord gave you the energy to be strong,
purposeful,
powerful,
pleasant,
positive, right?
You have the same power,
the same energy,
the same ability
as a Gandhi,
as a Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa.
Never doubt it.
All right.
Never doubt it.
You have that energy.
Power of one person.
When you're oriented to, as you said, mindset, doing of good,
and you recognize in one person, but doing in good,
reach out to a friend on the right, a friend on the left.
Those two become four.
Four become eight, 16, 32, 128.
There's nothing in the world that can stop that energy.
We create a tsunami of goodness, the power of one person.
So when you walk by dog poop now, you have to pick it up.
You're going to laugh and say,
I love dog poop.
And Ariel is going to say, what are you talking about,
Sean? Barry said, you know,
when you do this and you practice
it, we make a difference in the
world. Nothing can stop it.
No energy. Nothing.
We are on the side
of good. Doing of good?
Power of one person. Love it. Doing of good, power of one person.
Love it.
Power of community, right?
Yes, absolutely.
Because now when you're talking about you, your girlfriend, your fiance, and other people,
like-minded people, wherever they are in the world, giving out keep smiling cards, sharing
positive, purposeful, powerful, pleasant energy. Guess what?
We make a shift.
And that shift makes all the difference.
That's all that's needed right now is a shift.
Shift stands for something happening inside facilitating transformation.
You hear that?
That's shift.
Something happening inside facilitating transformation.
Think about it it act upon it
make a difference
a lot of people need a mindset shift
because they're programmed growing up
watching the media, watching videos
watch this media
watch these videos
listen to Sean Kelly
listen to Barry Shore
but even better than listening, action
when you walk by dog poop from now on say I love dog poop Tashawn Kelly, listen to Barry Shore, but even better than listening, action.
When you walk by dog poop from now on, say, I love dog poop.
What are you talking about?
Well, a smile.
Go to BarryShore.com, click on the smile, and send out those cards.
It doesn't cost you anything.
Yes, it does.
It will cost you a shift in your own mindset.
Do that, and know that when you're doing that and sending it to friends,
that you're making a difference. You're touching another human. You're bringing benefit into the world. Is there anything
better? No. It's a great feeling to be able to help someone. Do you ever feel any stress?
Can we talk about stress for a little bit? Yeah.
I love stress. Really? In my book, The Joy of Living, you deserve it.
By the way, which is available for free.
People can get it as an e-book.
Absolutely free.
Go to BarryShaw.com and you'll see where you can get the book.
Okay.
It's an amazing book in the sense that it's not information only, which is great.
And it's not inspiration only, which is wonderful.
But you know what inspiration does after a while, right?
It's
transformational. So in their book, in the book, I talk about there's two kinds of stress. There's a
positive stress and a negative stress. We need a positive stress to keep ourselves up and erect,
and that's what building muscle is about. When you go to the gym and you work out or swimming,
swimming is you're pulling against the water and such. So there's that positive stress.
But let me tell you what stress stands for.
Again, I love acronyms.
Stress stands for stomach-turning reality,
enabling self-sabotage.
Ah!
Do you know what happened?
Oh, I might have lost my job.
We might lose the house.
The kids are going crazy.
The country's falling apart.
There's war in the world.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
So that's stress.
Now, a lot of people either keep it inside, which causes worse stress,
or they do what I just did, which also makes people crazy, right?
Now let's shift.
Remember shift.
Keep that F in place.
And let's look at the Barry Shore approach to stress.
You ready for the Barry Shore approach?
Let's hear it.
Stomach turning reality.
You're right.
You may have lost your job.
You may lose the house.
Your cousin Dick commutes suicide.
Kids are going crazy.
There is war.
There's stuff going on.
Enabling self-success.
Self-success, that's right, because let's go back to those six words we talked about
before. Choice, not chance, determines your destiny. Lots of stuff going on. How do you
choose to respond? If you choose in a situation and say, this is tough stuff, what am I going to
do about it? I'm going to listen to Sean Kelly and Barry Shore.
I'm going to find the positive, the purposeful, the powerful, the pleasant.
I'm going to read something that's going to influence me for the good.
I'm going to learn to love dog poop.
I'm going to skip.
I'm going to breathe in a way that's going to give me calm.
When you do that, stress is going to turn into
enabling self-success.
And I've been through a lot of stress, Ron.
I bet.
I mean, to stand up in the morning
and be paralyzed at night,
that's a whole different world.
Yeah.
I was just protoplasm.
I couldn't move.
Couldn't do anything.
What about income?
What about home?
My wife had to take care of everything.
My son would do stuff.
That's a lot of stress.
Big time.
Yeah, that's powerful.
I love that.
Barry, any final words or messages you want to get across?
Yes.
I urge everybody to understand that the definition of a winner
is taking action.
Listening today to Sean and Barry and saying,
well, that's great, I love it, and then go on to the next thing,
that's distraction.
Take action.
In other words, go to the website, BarryShaw.com,
send out Keep Smiling cards,
and urge your friends and families to do
the same thing. Get a copy of my book, Learn to Love Dog Poo. In other words, make a decision,
go mad, make a decision, take action in life, and you will see that you'll be happier, healthier,
and wealthier. Sean and I guarantee it. Beautiful. All your money back. I love it, Barry.
Thanks so much for coming on.
Thanks for watching, guys.

Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds.
Recently, I asked Mint Mobile's legal team if big wireless companies are allowed to raise prices due to inflation.
They said yes.
And then when I asked if raising prices technically violates those onerous two-year contracts, they said, what the f*** are you talking about,
you insane Hollywood a**hole? So to recap, we're cutting the price of Mint Unlimited from $30 a
month to just $15 a month. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch. $45 upfront payment
equivalent to $15 per month. New customers on first three-month plan only. Taxes and fees extra.
