There's so many interesting things in the mushroom world and there's so many different
mushrooms out there that we haven't even discovered. When mushrooms finally gets to a place,
it's going to be a big golden wave. I was telling you that we still haven't really uncovered,
you know, there's different tryponoids in these different mushrooms that when you put
those in combination and what they make you feel.
Wherever you guys are watching this show, I would truly appreciate it if you follow or subscribe
it helps a lot with the algorithm it helps us get bigger and better guests and it helps us
grow the team truly means a lot thank you guys for supporting and here's the episode
all right guys we got jason craig aka j-rock here today thanks for having me dude yeah i love the
the uh cowboy act not sue man
yeah you know it's just a lot of it's part of the part of the gear man i i just did a partnership
uh with travis austin uh from nashville who i'm really excited to be working with him with
stitched you know we'll get into that but um you know i met this guy um and he had this dream of
creating clothing and you know these custom hats and all these
things.
And when I met him, you know, he was just working at a, uh, a food place that I went
to after the gym and was telling me about all these ideas and, you know, how he wanted
to grow.
And, you know, eight years later, man, the guy's killing it.
You know, he's got one of the most successful hat companies out of Nashville and, you know,
being celebrity clientele.
So I'm like stoked to be working with him.
And it's like
this thing has come full circle so it's really cool to see so the feathers part of the hat
feathers part of the hat so he does full custom i mean like if you wanted it to be the digital
hour hat he could do that you know i might have to look into that yeah yeah i gotta i gotta put
you on because he can fully customize however you want it i mean we've made hats for drake we've
made hats for dave bautista you know like he he
can get super intricate with it so it's really you've done so well i integrated yourself in the
celebrity world i think just providing value is the main thing from what i noticed yeah dude
providing value you know i mean i think as as men we we we have to kind of provide value anyway as
part of like in our dna um but you know through the companies and businesses that I've had, you know,
with different sponsorship deals and other, you know, I've been able to build some, some great
relationships and like you said, provide value. Absolutely. Are you boxing still right now?
I am. I am. I'm always, uh, I'm always kind of boxing. I'm always doing martial arts because
for me, it's like part of my, you know, what keeps me going, you know, my therapy. Um, I started as,
as a kid and as a little kid, you know, um, and have stuck to know, my therapy, um, I started as, as a kid and as a
little kid, you know, um, and have stuck to it. It's one of those things like, you know,
I wanted to master it, you know, and it takes a long time to master something. And, you know,
I'm still trying to master it. I'm still trying to get better every time I go in there and, you know,
uh, 30 something, 40 years later, what's your record, right? Yeah. I've only had five fights.
I've only had five fights. And, and it's one of those things where you know i just started getting so busy in my in my work
on the work side and things started taking off for me that you know trying to get back to get
into pro fights um you know i've looked at the opportunities you know some of these um you know
jake paul has done his thing and started doing those type fights and Nate Diaz and those guys.
So I've looked at just jumping in there, honestly, just for one pro match.
I just want it to be worth it.
But it's kind of like closing out some of that, the years of training and kind of getting into that.
Did you see the Jake Paul fight the other day?
I didn't see it.
I just saw some highlights.
It was a quick one. It was a quick one.
I think he's in the phase where
he's building his record up a little bit, which
he's getting criticized for that, but
everybody does that in boxing. Everybody does
that. Everybody does.
Everybody pads their record early
on to get those wins and have
the zero on the record
to get the fights you want,
you got to be undefeated these days.
So he's padding his record a little bit.
I don't blame him for that.
He's still trying to figure out the big name fights.
Joe, who do you got winning this Ryan Garcia fight?
Ryan Garcia has been acting weird lately.
That's a statement. Butyan garcia uh in general um you know i'm pulling for him to win the fight uh you know all things he's said to this side i think he's just trying to sell it
um but i'm pulling for him uh to win that fight i think it's a tough fight devin's no joke
you know um but it's going to it's a fight I think he needs right now.
Yeah.
You know,
that loss,
right?
Yeah.
Then he lost to a tank tank.
Yeah.
I'd love to see you win.
And I'd love to see him get into the UFC and fight Sean O'Malley as he's
claiming to.
That'd be dope.
You're a UFC fan,
right?
Big UFC fan.
Yeah.
Early adopter,
man,
you know,
cause Vegas is the place
UFC started.
And so back in the day
with boxing,
my boxing coach,
Skipper Kelp,
he was my boxing coach
at UNLV,
along with Chris.
And I'd been with him
a long time.
And back then,
Dana was still working
at the sporting house.
I mean,
and he was training
the Fertittas.
And that's how
that whole thing
kind of happened
with the UFC.
Did he train them? He was training them. I didn't know that. Yeah, he was training them for Tito's. And that's how that whole thing kind of happened. Wow. Did he train them?
He was training.
I didn't know that.
Yeah. He was training them and, you know, kicked them this idea. They loved the idea and man,
they executed, you know, and yeah, it's crazy. And so I've always been kind of close to the UFC
beginning, you know, training with a lot of the guys in the beginning, like Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, like these early guys that, you know, became legends really. And, uh, I I've, I've gotten
the opportunity and, you know, to train with a lot of these guys through the years here because,
you know, it's Vegas has really been fight capital. Absolutely. I always go to fights
out here. They're, they're a fun time. Yeah. Yeah. And now that you got the Raiders and you
got fights on one day and you got, you got like a football game the next day and there's some crazy party every
night, right?
Absolutely.
There's nothing you can't do in Vegas.
Yeah.
It's got everything.
Any upcoming fighters that you think can make a run at that GOAT title right
now?
Um, you know, the Ilya, Ilya, uh, he's looking real nice right now and he's a
young guy.
Um, you know, he's still going to grow and become better and you know how he beat Volk,
you know,
uh,
you got to watch that guy.
Yeah.
I was very impressed with that one.
Me too,
man.
Me too.
I mean,
I thought that it was going to be a really tough fight for Volk,
but I thought he might pull it out and utilize his,
uh,
his crazy cardio,
but you know,
proven wrong.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
You've always been training though.
I saw you in the Marines at 19. Yeah. Yeah. So I've always been training, you know, proven wrong. Absolutely. Yeah. You've always been training though. I saw
you in the Marines at 19. Yeah. Yeah. So I've always been training, you know, um, honestly,
as a kid, uh, had a lot of, had a lot of time, you know, I had some traumas, had a lot of things
where, you know, I was determined to never let anybody hurt me again, you know? And so that's
always been a driving force in my, in my martial, with the Marine Corps, September 11th was what made me join the Marine Corps.
I hadn't really thought about joining before then.
And I wanted to join to help the country.
Well, whatever I could do.
Politics aside, I always say I didn't understand politics back then either.
But I've always pushed myself physically, try to do the hard stuff.
You know, I didn't always know, you know, that doing the hard things would make me, you know, get me to the places that I wanted to get.
But, you know, I wasn't always the most talented in everything that I did, you know, but I did outwork people.
I love that.
You know, and I would just
stay consistent. And again, it's one of those things, if you don't, if it doesn't work,
you know, you just keep going until you figure it out, you know, adapt and overcome. That's kind of
like the Marine Corps motto. And for me, I've always, I've always stuck to that. And again,
I like to fill the room with people smarter than me. I don't have an ego. Like I want to fill the room with people smarter than me. I want to be around people who have the same mindset and the same kind of work effort. And we also get along. I have a no douchebag rule in my companies. It doesn't matter how skilled somebody is. If you don't align with them, it's never going to work out. You can't do a good deal with a bad guy.
I love that. Yeah. You block out anyone that brings you negativity.
Anyone that brings me negativity, it's not for me. And it's not that I have to,
you know, physically remove them from my life. I just keep those kinds of people at a distance
because like, I don't have room for that right now. You know, like my mind is bulletproof to
the point of like, I'm not stopping and I will continue going, you know, until I get to the place that I want to get.
And anybody who's not in that mindset or aligned with that for me is a waste of my time.
And not in a, not in the sense of, you know, personally, like I still, I have a lot of friends, people that I appreciate them for who they are.
But if you're doubting me or any of those things, I just almost ignore it and just keep going.
Yeah, I think there's a difference between doubt and then just wanting to help someone.
Sometimes it comes across like they're hating.
Right.
So there's that fine line, right?
And there's a thing, too, where sometimes when you're driving forward and you're pushing, people see that and they want to maybe be in that. And maybe they're not doing the things that they need to be doing. So it's easy to pitch people having those insecurities with wanting to do the things that they want to do.
And sometimes they see other people doing it and it's not going to work.
That's not going to happen.
And I love proving people wrong.
I love that.
Was your transition out of the Marines a quick process or did it take some time?
Definitely took some time. You know, I put my head down and got right to work. Um, and you know, was, was successful in that lane because
I just, I had the work ethic, you know, I was always a hard worker and physically it was hard
for people to keep up with me. Um, but it was a hard transition in the aspect of acclimating back
into normal life, um, civilian world, you know, after being, after being in the Marine Corps, you know, and
that does take time. You know, there's certain things that you don't feel right away. There's
certain things you do feel right away, you know, nightmares and those kinds of things are prevalent.
But, you know, again, adapt and overcome. I've had things where it really took me, you know, 42 years, right,
of my life to really figure out. I'm still in a growth process where I'm trying to understand,
you know, myself, traumas, how I've overcome those traumas, how I've, you know, pushed forward and
also the next evolution of who I am. When you came out, did they put you on a bunch of medication?
They did. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, I was having those, you know, depression and anxiety and some of of who i am when you came out did they put you on a bunch of medication they did yeah yeah so i
mean i was having those you know depression and and anxiety and some of those issues and they put
me on they put me on a lot of medications that you know for me i just i didn't like it i felt
dead inside um that's the best way to describe it and um i'm like this can't be it you know i was
trying to see a therapist that sort of thing um and doing whatever I could on my own. But, uh, the drugs just weren't for me. Uh, I didn't like it. And at some point, you know, I was with my doctor, you know, he's like, I can't prescribe it to you, you know, at this time, but I've had a lot of success with Vietnam veterans with cannabis, you know, and that's what really turned me on to cannabis. And honestly, in those times of real anxiety and stress, it just kind of took that edge
off. And it's been something that I believe in on the plant medicine side. And I dove in deeper
into that side with, you know, cannabis, mushrooms, that sort of thing, because there's alternatives
out there to these drugs that are really, you you know that are really beneficial that we haven't really tapped into and you know maybe
because that's big formula runs runs the land you know that's a baby yeah yeah right sticking a
mushroom so photo on your instagram you with a giant mushroom in this area i'd love to hear the
backstory on that yeah yeah so i mean as i said you know i've really dived into plant medicine side but you know i am looking you know i'm i'm working on different opportunities
within within that world um and me and dan were uh looking at some of these opportunities together
because uh it looks like we may do something like that in the future yeah um and yeah these these
guys are uh we went to the lab these guys guys are growing the mushrooms and you saw the one it's like, it's literally like the size of my body.
It's really crazy.
But there's so many interesting things in the mushroom world and there's so many different mushrooms out there that we haven't even discovered.
You know, so it's really interesting for me to be ahead of that lane because, you know, if we saw what happened to cannabis you know when mushrooms finally gets to
a place it's going to be a big golden wave yeah it's already decriminalized in a few states right
exactly yeah and there's there's different combinations like i was telling you that we
still haven't really uncovered you know there's different tryponoids in these different mushrooms
that when you put those in combination and what they make you feel um so there's still a lot to
be discovered there and so i've you know really tried to So there's still a lot to be discovered there.
And so I've really tried to tap into that lane heavily
to be ahead of it.
It's changed my life.
Yeah?
Do you microdose?
Microdose.
I've done full trips as well.
I did it in Amsterdam when I was 18.
Wow.
It rocked my world.
Yeah.
I think everybody should do it.
I think we could tap into parts of our brain
that whatever, maybe it's all
the external data that we're always dealing with every single day.
But I think it, it helps us tap into places, helps us tap into spirituality.
You know, it's like, obviously if you're taking it to go to a festival and rage, then, you
know, you have that.
Yeah.
But if you're, if you're, if, if you're in nature and you're sitting there and you're
meditating and you're utilizing it in that aspect, there's a lot of value there too.
So, you know, it's a big world and just trying to uncover it all and help people.
Absolutely.
Have you always been pretty spiritual?
You know, as a kid, I was Catholic.
You know, I was an altar boy.
You know, I grew up like that.
And it took me a long time to come back to faith.
I mean, to be honest, you know, like even with God, like there was a period of time where I was away from God.
I just, you know, the things that I was seeing and the world as is and, you know, all my different, my own traumas and things that I was dealing with, you know, I kind of like lost my faith.
And I kind of lost my way, you know, and I did that for a long time.
And, you know, I realized that it was a big hole inside me and I was doing everything I could to
figure it out. And I went down, you know, every universal path you can with shamans and, you know,
different types of therapists, medians, you know, I was really in search of the better,
you know, figuring myself out. So it took a lot of time, effort and work on my side to,
to get to that. And as I turned the corner, I felt like at one of the times that was like,
it was like this pivotal moment that changed my life. It's like, I felt touched by God.
And I felt, I felt that all these things that I've gone through in my life, all these traumas and everything that I've, you know, I, I, I questioned God on, as I look at it now, it has made me this full man, right? I, you know, I'm, I'm empathetic. I'm, I, I've, I've been toughened up through, you know, understanding, you know, different pains and, and, and, um, different obstacles, building businesses, you know, so it's made me the man
that I needed to be. And now with that change of outlook and the feeling that I have now,
I've never been closer to God and I've never had, you know, my faith has never been stronger.
That's deep, man. Similar story with me. I was growing up a pretty Christian, went to church,
stuff, and then teenage years, went atheist. That was the cool thing to do. And know, and I think it, you know, the self-discovery of spirituality in everyone's life is important. And whether that is, you know,
whatever name you call God, or if it's your, you know, you're just tapping into the universe and
that power, you need to tap into something bigger than yourself because there is something out there
bigger than us, you know, whether we'd like to admit it or not. For sure. I think we all have
an energy, right? Yes, definitely. You can read people without talking about just totally based off feeling. Yeah. You know, I,
I've been a big energy guy for a long time. You know, right after high school, I jumped into
massage therapy, which a lot of people don't know about me, but I went through massage therapy
school. And like, when you have to put your hands on people, you take on energy and you can give
them energy, you know? And, and when I would do my massages,
I literally in my brain, it's kind of like when you're working out, like the mind muscle
connection, when you're working out, like isolating and thinking through that muscle part,
it's the same kind of thing when you're doing these massages where I'm trying to put in good
energy. I'm trying to like work things out specifically. Um, and I just learned a lot
about how you can take on energy, how you can, how you can
give energy, you know, I'm sure, you know, with a girlfriend or something, when they're mad,
all of a sudden you're in a bad mood, you know, right. Like there's these things that happen from
an energy perspective and, and like really understanding it, you know, and like all my
buddies back then, you know, they're too tough to understand energy or care about energy or right.
That's not real real but it is real
you know and i think we've all felt it we've all felt those those moments right um and there's
something more than what we understand 100 you are what you surround yourself with yeah yeah
five closest people you're the sum of the it's so true it's so true i know it's cliche at this
point but i look back at my life when i was smoking weed every day yeah and a loser and broke
and i looked at
who I surrounded myself with and it was those types of people. It's a hundred percent, you know,
and it's like, as you grow, if those people aren't growing with you, then you outgrow them,
you know, or you have to, or otherwise they're going to drag you back into what they're doing,
you know? And then they take it some type of way, but it's really just, you're on a different path.
Yeah. It's nothing personal. I'm just trying to better myself, man. I'm trying to better myself. Like, you know,
nobody else is, uh, is paying for my parents' bills. Like you guys aren't. So like, I need to,
I need to do what's best for me and my family, you know? So, I mean, I think that's a, uh,
a turning point in most people's lives where it's like, okay, like I'm either going to stay in this
mode in my life or I'm going to get up and I'm going to change it and I'm going to do something
about it. Absolutely. You know, I love seeing people changing their life and doing something about it. I always cheer
that on because we've all had our problems, our issues, our things, our setbacks, our wins even,
but just keep going. I think people get comfortable and they're scared to leave
a friend group or even family sometimes. And the comfort is not how you grow up. No, it's the same. And it's the same in business. You know, um, people get comfortable
in certain positions, making a certain amount of money. They got their insurance, everything's
great, but they're not really happy in what they're doing, but they're like, you know, I just
got to keep going like this. But then, you know, 10 years later, they're like, man, you know, I
really wish I would have taken my time to go and write that book, you know, or start that podcast or whatever it was that they, they wanted to do. And regret is,
is a real thing as well. Real. It's very real. I try not to have any, my goal when I die is not
to have any. Yeah. Me too, man. I want to live a life that, uh, I'm proud of, you know, that I can
look back and say like, I did that. I tried it, you know, it didn't work,
you know, but at least I tried it and it wasn't for me because we don't know until,
until we try things. Exactly. Yeah. I try not to have any resentment. Even people that did me wrong.
I just don't try to start inside your body. It's poison. It's a poison pill that's inside you,
you know, and same, same kind of thing. Like I've forgiven, you know, all these different traumas and people who cause those traumas, um, you know, people in my life and bad business
deals, you know, I mean, there's been a lot of those where I've lost a lot of money because of
X, Y, Z, but when I look back on it now, those were learning, those were learning, uh, curves
for me and, and, um, opportunities for me to grow, but also at the same time, letting those people go
and making sure they're not in my life anymore.
Yeah, absolutely.
And business and friendship is a tricky thing too.
Very tricky.
You know, I've done business with friends
and it can be hard.
It can be beneficial at the same time,
depending on what it is,
but it is a tricky scenario.
It's like a marriage.
Yeah, you're risking your friendship.
Yeah.
Pretty much.
You know, I'm with them
more than I'm with my girls. For real. Or with my family, right? Like it's like a marriage yeah you're risking your friendship yeah pretty much you know i'm with them when more than with my girls for real with my family right like it's it's a real
marriage and so you know those don't always if in like we were talking about in the beginning it's
like if you guys aren't aligned um it's going to be tough to to go this that's key if that's where
i messed up in the past because my expectations for myself are so high and i would just assume
everyone else had expectations as me and I haven't worn a line.
And as far as you end up doing, you actually end up doing more work because you can't trust the other people to get things done in the way in which you would like them done.
Right.
So it's almost like it creates more work.
So that extra time, I guess I say it's like slow to hire, quick to fire.
Right.
So taking that time to really align with the people that you're
going to be working with i mean essentially your guys are going to battle who do you want
their foxhole with you yeah you know um and so if you see that problem and it's not what you
thought it was going to be i've sat and i've sat in situations before where i was like well
there's nobody else that's that great right now and gone through those things. But, you know, that's changed my mindset a lot.
And I've gotten a lot quicker to correct those problems.
Yeah. You're crushing it with Stitch. I'd love to dive into that company.
Was it successful from the start? Or did it take some time?
It took some time. I mean, we definitely hit the ground running.
You know, I was like, when i started with stitch i was the the
brand ambassador you know um amen the founder of the company a good friend of mine and you know
brought me into the company you know because i had the relationships with you know celebrities
you know all the nightlife groups you know a lot of hotel executives and that sort of thing and
you know we really kind of wanted to own the Vegas market and, you know,
that was the, that's been the, that's been the thing for, for, for the last 11 years, you know,
and then branching out, you know, so really having those, you know, hotel and different industries
here in Vegas from real estate to anybody who's, you know, wearing suits on a daily, but also just
is looking to get flashed up, we have our tourist market.
And we've done really well.
In 2020, we took a hit, just like everybody else, COVID.
But we had had a location in Miami, in Brickell.
We had a location in DC, in MGM's National Grand Harbor there.
And we had to close both those stores.
Yeah.
It was tough, man.
Yeah, it was tough.
And luckily, you know, Bill McBeth,
who was the president at the Cosmopolitan at the time,
was super cool.
I mean, the way they handled it, you know,
kept us alive, honestly.
And so we took the stuff we had from Miami and D.C.
Once we reopened, it was gangbusters you know we we started we've had our best couple years honestly yeah weather crossing i'm mad whenever
i'm at the you guys are in art which hotel was it cosmopolitan yeah whenever i'm there it's bad
yeah yeah uh cosmo and cosmo is great you know we're lucky to be in there they've done a great
job over the years just you know keeping the the property updated, you know, beautiful. And it's got its
own, um, I love, always love the marketing campaigns, you know, it's got the right amount
of wrong, you know, so they've done a good job there. And so what we did with the Miami, so we
had all the stuff, we had all the inventory, we had all the FF&E from two stores. And so, uh,
Tivoli village here in Summerlin, um, they had an open space and it was like, hey, you guys want to pop up for a month? And we were like, yeah, let's do it. I mean, we had a whole store. We put it in there. It looks, it's legit. It's like a full store. And they're like, man, you guys are doing well. We want to just keep you here. You want to stay? Yep, let's do it wow we still got the other store we have another store now in tivoli and then we also have a private store that we only do private shopping in we call it unstitched
um anything that we put out is you know like it's only there for the season so if it's not
purchased during that season it goes back into the warehouse which we call unstitched
and we do private shopping there so people can go and get brand new stuff for 50 off or or even more
wow sometimes so we have that uh kind of as like a little tool in our tool boat yeah i'm stopped by people can go and get brand new stuff for 50% off or, or even more sometimes.
So we have that kind of as like a little tool in our tool boat.
Yeah.
I'm going to stop by dude.
Let's do it.
I love it.
Yeah.
So you started 19 venues in Vegas before this.
Yeah.
Well,
Stitch,
Stitch came before,
before those,
you know,
and I didn't partner in Stitch until a little later on,
you know,
like I said,
I was brand ambassador for quite some time.
But the other businesses I was working at the same time.
I was in nightlife.
I was working at the Palms.
And I like to say, back when we were winning championships, did a lot of cool stuff there.
Reality shows, VMA awards.
I mean, kind of really built my career there.
And then I went on, started my
own company and then I ended up partnering with Andy Massey. Well, Andy Massey at the time owned
the light group, which was the largest nightlight company in the world. Uh, learned a lot from Andy,
you know, Andy's a very old school guy. Um, you know, it's a, it's a, his way or the highway
type of a scenario. So, you know, you got to move fast there and, you know, um, keep up.
So I learned a lot through that process. Um, you know, during 2020 as well, decimated the food and
beverage, uh, community, um, all of us, right. All the restaurants were closed. All the restaurants
were closed, you know, financially it was, um, you know, probably the, one of the worst times
of my life, spiritually, one of the best times
of my life because I was really tapping in during that time to nature. But, you know, after that,
started a new company, you know, I ended up doing like a structured payout from Click Hospitality,
which was all those venues that I was running for 10 years, you know, back and forth between San
Diego, multiple properties here. But, you know, at some forth between San Diego, multiple properties here.
But, you know, at some point as well, like the 2020 thing, you know, was like a really eye opener for me to do and follow the path that I want.
That's in my heart.
And at that time there was, there was trouble with one of my other partners and it was just
time to, to, to do my own thing.
And so started my own company called ITM in the moment.
And, you know, we've really taken off, you know, diversified projects.
You know, like I was telling you, Weed Maps is a part of that.
So on the cannabis side, you know, this new mushroom company that we're working on, you know, we have food and beverage projects.
We put money into a hotel here in Mount Charleston up in the mountains. So I still have a couple of food and beverage things, looking at expanding Stitch. Right now, we are really honed in on Nashville and doing a project there in the Nashville Yards with a speakeasy, rock bar, something like that. So we're going down the line on that. So I'm really kind of gearing myself towards projects that I really want to be in or something that has giant windfalls. So I'm trying to diversify myself into short-term,
long-term. So I'm playing chess. I'm able to move pieces around the board because as you know,
as an entrepreneur, sometimes things don't always work out. So I'm moving pieces that align with
one another. The businesses support each other in certain senses. Um, and I'm, I'm playing the long game, playing the short game and, uh, you know,
every day at it. I love it. Cause you were all in on hospitality. So when that went to zero,
those COVID years, it must've been a shock for you. Similar to me. I was all in in crypto
when it crashed, man, that was a rough time. Yeah, man, it was all coming back from that,
you know? Um, and you know, I did jump into some food and beverage products, you know, food and beverage, like after COVID, it was hot, you know, for two years, it just was blazing off, everybody could be tough to afford houses, you know, BlackRock buying up all the inventory and,
you know, all this kind of stuff. You know, we've looked at these different solutions, right? Like,
how can I be ahead of, you know, obviously we're in election year. Last time, you know,
we got shut down two years. You know, what happens this time? I'm not sure, but let's just be
prepared for it and to win one way or another, protect ourselves one way or another you know so we've just been going through
a lot of those strategies and have have our our mindset on it and just moving i love it you backed
rfk publicly right yeah yeah so i i really appreciate rfk um i've had a chance to meet
with him a few times i am trying to get, to support our, our veteran ride that we have
coming up, uh, armed forces day. Um, I, I do a event it's Randy Couture's, uh, event. Um, and,
uh, he's been doing it for 17 years. It's one of the biggest veteran fundraisers, uh, in the state,
um, about 500 motorcycles and there's four different stops. And so really trying to get
RFK to come and, you know, just speak to the veterans. Um, hopefully he will do that. Maybe
he'll see this and, uh, you know, but I got a soft confirmation. Um, and, um, also, you know,
those is we're seeing, you know, political, um, prosecution and other, uh, in our world right now,
you know, not letting this guy on our ballot
um you know didn't sit right with me yeah um not having secret service protection doesn't sit right
with me especially looking at his family history um these things are are pretty uh pretty crazy to
me and um you know he deserves that chance you know to to tall. And whether he wins or loses,
he deserves a shot to be on our ballot here in Nevada.
Absolutely.
Is he not allowed in Nevada right now?
No.
What?
He has to get 10,000 signatures just to be on the ballot.
And they're trying to stop him,
and that's in multiple states where he has to push
just to get on the ballot.
Wow.
And he's leading in a lot of categories.
So it, to me, again, is taking another political opponent
and stopping them from going forward.
He's an independent, and neither side like that.
But maybe it takes an independent to come in and shake things up.
I don't know.
I didn't know that you needed 10,000. Is that every candidate or just him uh i think it's because it's he's
independent you know i don't want to i don't i'm not like a political analyst here but um i believe
it's just these independent and the republican and democratic sides are both like no we don't
want we don't want this um so i know it's like that in a few states for him nevada is one of
those um you know he's been out here a few times, you know, doing some rallies, just trying
to talk to people.
Yeah.
I want to see the debate.
I wonder if they'll ever set that up.
I would love to see it too.
You know, I mean, I think at this point we're not seeing any debates between Trump Biden
and RFK, uh, which is crazy.
So this is, this is how we do it guys.
Like what's changed now.
Right. Um, and I would love to see it as well.
I mean, those debates tell a lot of story. That's why Trump won it in 16 debates because of Hillary.
Yeah. And I feel like maybe they're stopping those because they think it's negative
to some of the candidates. I don't know. But is the democratic process you know let's get out there
and let the people hear you absolutely i'd love to see trump and rfk like head to head because i
think they agree on a lot of stuff they definitely agree on a lot of stuff um and i do think that's a
very interesting debate you're right like it's a very interesting debate between those two
um and i would love to see it too man i just i want to see the best candidate who
wants to help this country.
And obviously Trump has gone through everything he's going through.
I'm not happy with being in the wars we're in right now.
I'm not happy with the immigration policies.
There's a lot of things right now that need fixing.
There's a lot of money going out.
We're looking at inflation.
So there is something that needs to be fixed here in our country.
It needs to be fixed right away.
So it is definitely something I pay attention to.
I try not to let myself get too emotionally involved.
That's what they want.
That's what they want.
They want us to be emotionally involved for sure.
Yeah.
But I got to keep my focus on what's right in front of me,
what I can control, but also understand what's going on.
So, you know, again, it does affect real estate markets.
It does affect different things.
So being prepared for those as well.
That makes sense.
When you served, which country did you get sent off to?
I was in Iraq.
How did you feel about that war afterwards?
It's tough when you see this stuff afterwards you know i mean weapons of
mass destruction we didn't find any of those you know when once i started understanding the
political spectrum a bit more um there was definitely there was definitely things about
it that i see that i've read that i understand that don't make me feel great you know um but i
can tell you at the same time that I know for,
for me, I went in there with the right mind and the right heart to help our country,
you know, um, all politics aside, you know, I wanted to help and I was willing to give my life
to do so. Um, and you know, when you see these different political things now and you understand
them, um, you know, they definitely can, can, can, uh uh can mess with your psyche a little bit but i haven't
let it mess with mine because i've taken you know different things from the marine corps good and
bad and used them for my advantage i love that mindset because you came in with the right
intentions you had no idea what's going on behind the scenes no and now when you dive into even
almost every other word comes out of money right yeah who's making money it's who's making money
you know and my dad for years would talk about you know the politics you know really heavily and um i just
i didn't understand all of it you know and then some of the stuff that he would talk about i was
like yeah that's not real you know it's like and then you see these crazy movies where it's like
cia is like selling drugs and like and you realize that there's a there's a deeper game out there
uh in our political world uh deeper game um gain in the government and their dealings overseas and other. So understanding those things now, it just makes me think about why are we in these places we're in now? You know, how do we stop, you know, continuing 20-year wars?
You know, and those things do worry me.
You know, I don't want us to be in another, you know, 20-year conflict.
We just got out of one.
Yeah.
You know, and what do we gain from that?
You know, Afghanistan is now overrun by Taliban.
We pulled out of there, left $3 billion worth of equipment.
You know, what did we do there? You know, and how many guys have come back home and, you know, have had a hard time? You
know, how many veterans have killed themselves? You know, how many families have been affected?
And I don't want that to continue, especially when we're looking at, we got a lot of problems
here in our country that need to be fixed, you know, before we're, we're going and, you know, helping everyone.
And I do believe, you know, we do need to help and we need to be that bright, uh, that
bright light, but we also, um, you know, there's, there's money, there's money that's made from
the industrial war complex.
There's a lot of things that happen in that, that aren't right either, you know?
So, uh, I just want to see something
i want to see our country going in the right direction again great i love that i think this
election is crucial i think it's really crucial yeah i agree we'll see what happens well jason
