Starting point is 00:00:00 The test of being hungry. Will you eat raw cauliflower? I'm not eating cauliflower. Then you're not hungry. Right. When you're hungry, you would eat that. Everything that you put in your mouth is a life or death decision.
Starting point is 00:00:15 Can you imagine seeing Wayne on the side of the road off of a cow? When you see a cow, do you get turned on? A little bit. I mean... of a cow when you see a cow do you get turned on a little bit i mean welcome to the digital social hour i'm your host, Sean Kelly. I'm here with my co-host, Wayne Lewis. What up, what up?
Starting point is 00:00:49 And our guest today, Doug Evans. Yeah, make your move. Doug, make your move. The Sprout King. The Sprout Man. Yeah, glad to be here, Sean. Absolutely. I'm excited to dive into Sprouts, man.
Starting point is 00:01:01 So talk to us about Sprouts. Yeah, basically, I moved. I was doing the whole triangle, New York, LA, San Francisco. And I went to my first Burning Man and I lived in the desert. And I said, I could live in the desert if there were hot springs. And then through a journey, I hallucinated that there were hot springs near Joshua tree. And then I went out on a quest, hired well drillers, geologists, realtors, consultants, and I landed and discovered Wonder Valley Hot Springs. It's near Joshua Tree,
Starting point is 00:01:33 between here and Palm Springs. And so I'm there and I set up my tent, my yurt, and I had a big cooler from LA, from Air One. And after three days, the cooler was depleting. And I was wondering like, what was I going to eat? And I realized for the first time in my life, not only was I in the desert, I was in a food desert. And that's when I had this download that I could eat sprouts. And so these like little seeds, right? These are seeds, like the normal seeds that grow vegetables, broccoli, radish, clover. Where did you get the seeds? These are organic seeds from the Imperial Valley. And so these are relatively local seeds. And when
Starting point is 00:02:18 you take these seeds, this is two tablespoons of seeds, will turn into six cups of broccoli sprouts well in five to six days fully grown fully yeah this is fully grown ready to eat ready to eat so these are ready to eat i can eat these you can eat those right now wow and and that was how does it taste uh it tastes crunchy it has a little flavor of broccoli help yourself and so for me that was so you just grab just like yeah just grab it eat it you know now for me that's a salad replacement okay like i use that instead of baby lettuce it tastes like a little bit of nothing um most water right yeah i'll try, actually, Sean, this is the most nutrient dense, potent food on the planet. Really?
Starting point is 00:03:11 Broccoli sprouts. So all cruciferous vegetables have anti-cancer properties, right? Broccoli has the most. Broccoli, broccoli. broccoli has the most broccoli broccoli regular broccoli but turns out broccoli sprouts are at the stage where they have 20 to 100 times more of these anti-cancer compounds than mature broccoli whoa so these are something that now there's and you can research this and write everyone's so this isn't a hybrid because i heard broccoli wasn't actually a real vegetable it was a mimic that is carnivorous propaganda okay so everything that you go in like all modern day farming has been evolved it's been hybridized
Starting point is 00:04:00 so it's a nonsensical comment but people use it because the whole kind of role and i i i want to keep peaceful but the whole role of the carnivores is to keep you from eating vegetables and all of the long-term studies in every major country every major category says plants are good for you and so that's actually easy to eat right well non-organic plants you don't touch it you yeah i don't yeah i do work organic for sure and one of the other magical things about eating sprouts is you grow them without soil without sunshine without fertilizer and without insecticides pesticides herb, herbicides, fungicides. Like you get the organic seeds, you add water, you rinse them twice a day, and then you get
Starting point is 00:04:54 your own bounty. Wow. Right? And the impact of this, just think about this. Normal vegetables get harvested from the farm. Right. They go on a truck. The truck hopefully is refrigerated, right? So heavy fossil fuel, and you're mostly transporting the water weight
Starting point is 00:05:13 within the vegetables. Then it goes to a distributor. Then it goes to the supermarket. Then it sits on the shelf and it could be there anywhere from one to three weeks. Wow. And it could be there anywhere from one to three weeks. This is fresh and you can eat a fresh harvest every single day. So my whole life for the last 25 years has been all about fresh because there's a life force in fresh. And when you're eating a sprout, you're eating the entire plant organism, the root, the shoot, the endosperm, the embryo. Normal vegetables, they're cutting it. The top.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Right. They're cutting it above the ground and they're leaving this complex root structure behind. So this, you're eating this. So there's now easily 2,000 peer-reviewed, published white papers from the top medical journals, top educational institutions on broccoli sprouts being used for their anti-cancer properties, for detoxifying benzene from the lungs, that if you're exposed to air pollutants whether it's exhaust whether it's benzene from burning chemicals so it can remove that from the lungs what is it okay so what does it actually do inside of the body and when's the best time to
Starting point is 00:06:38 take it like am I waking up am I taking this first thing is it after a workout is it midnight like it's a midday how many times a day am i taking it like yeah so so in my world i like to limit my feeding window okay so you're faster i i'm a faster yeah so i so i my feeding window is noon to 6 p.m yeah that's my feeding window okay so the first thing that i that i do is I drink a lot of water from the time I get up. Yeah. Right? And then I like fruit also. Me too.
Starting point is 00:07:11 So most of what you hear about fruit, the sugar in fruit, fructose and glucose, is wildly different than added sugar, which is a white crystalline powder from cane. So the first thing I do is I eat fruit. Okay. In the morning. At noon. At noon. At noon.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Okay. And then around two o'clock to five or six o'clock, I just start eating sprouts. And most people think of sprouts from Asian cuisine, whether it's like mung beans, right? Or alfalfa sprouts and the hippie sandwiches. But the reality is I'm growing alfalfa, azuki, radish, clover, broccoli, chia, flax, fenugreek, all sorts of lentils, all sorts of peas. And like, you know, people ask like, where do I get my protein? My diet is 100% raw plant-based. So I eat fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, seaweeds, and sprouts. And there's protein in all of it. Yeah. Every single sprout contains
Starting point is 00:08:16 every single amino acid and to form the protein. Wow. Right. So that's another myth. There's all these kind of anti-plant-based dialogues. Another one that you'll hear is like, oh, well, the plants have defense mechanisms. I've heard that one. And the defense mechanism is to defend against an insect. So when we talk about the poison is in the dose, there's not enough of the plant defense mechanism to have any sort of material impact, but the positive impact of that defense mechanism is a hormetic effect, similar to taking an ice bath or doing a sauna, that it stresses the body and the body has to work to respond. The other benefit
Starting point is 00:09:06 of the broccoli sprouts relative to creating the stressors is in autism. So if someone is autistic and they have a fever, it lessens the symptoms of their autism. So, right? I mean, broccoli sprouts, because of these defense mechanisms, create heat shock proteins in the brain, which lessen the symptoms of autism. Wow. That's crazy. Yeah. So, there's a whole kind of litany. If you think about, in this country, the three of us are abnormal, because normalcy in this country, the three of us are abnormal because normalcy in this country is to be
Starting point is 00:09:49 overweight or obese, right? Two thirds of Americans are overweight or obese and sprouts are extremely high in fiber and they are low in calories. So these are the ultimate food for weight loss. Like if you if you should we be eating a day like if let's say i want to because i want to add this to my diet sean you want to add it to your diet i will so what would be the recommendation and if we can't if we if we're not growing it where do we get it like the best place so you can get them in any health food store any farmer's market whole foods has them sprouts has them too sprouts i think sprouts is a little weak that's ironic right i've been to the sprouts and i haven't seen sprouts at sprouts
Starting point is 00:10:33 so i don't want to get that because i know i've seen those at walmart i know i've seen them at you know albertsons but i don't want to buy it from there. Okay. So I think the thing is you buy your seeds. You buy seeds. You get a jar with a stainless steel lid on, and then you grow them on your own. This is just a simple setup. It's a dish rack I got off of Amazon. Oh, you actually grow it in this?
Starting point is 00:10:57 Yeah, yeah. This is it. He pours water in it and then rinses it twice a day. So these seeds don't require water. You don't have to sit them in water. No, no. You have to add water. Add water. So process is you add water, you have to sit them in water? No, no, you have to add water. So, the process is you add water, enough water to fully submerge them.
Starting point is 00:11:09 And in the process of adding the water and letting them soak for eight hours, you are removing the enzyme inhibitors, the trypsins, the phytic acids, and lowering the level of lectins. And you're triggering this seed, which is a plant organism in a dormant state right you're triggering it to explode into life to germinate to sprout and then every day this bad boy increases in size 50 to 100 percent every day and then so if i plant it monday by friday i'm ready to eat 100 wow and what what type of water do you use to grow alkaline i i have a water desalination system so a large scale reverse osmosis system so i'm taking my mineral spring water and i'm removing the
Starting point is 00:11:57 minerals and then that's what i'm using to grow right but i would say um filtered water is good spring water is good distilled water is good you can buy a gallon of distilled water for a dollar and you use that water to clean your fruit as well yeah i actually i like to buy my fruit from the farmer's market i like to get organic and you know i don't want any haters here. Do whatever you want. I don't wash my fruit. Whoa. What about the pesticides on it? I'm getting organic fruit with no pesticides. Oh, gotcha.
Starting point is 00:12:31 And basically, you know, I don't live in this Purell world, you know, where I want to sanitize everything i'm more concerned you know with not having bacteria um than being um having too much bacteria because there's people that record videos of the stuff that comes out of this fruit it's pretty nice oh yeah i i saw that thing that's conventional produce right that's genetically modified that's sprayed with roundup which contains glyphosate wait roundup the stuff that i use from home depot yeah that's glyphosate that is can't i i wait wait hold on i gotta bite my tongue because i don't want to be in a libelous slanderous situation but do your own research go to chat gpt go go to Google and research glyphosate and Roundup, lovely products from Monsanto owned by Bayer. I saw that lawsuit already. I'm familiar with
Starting point is 00:13:35 that one. Yeah. So for me, if you're getting it from an organic farm, we want the soil. One of the other things they talk about is, well, where do you get your B12, right? So in this stage, I take a B12 sublingual supplement, right? But they say, if you're eating meat, right, people think they're getting their B12 in the meat. But do you know where the B12 in the meat is coming from? The soil, right? No. They're giving the supplements to the cows in the feed because there's no naturally occurring B12 microorganisms. In meat? No, no.
Starting point is 00:14:17 In the corn and in the soy that they're feeding the cows. Wow. So they're giving them supplements yeah the largest consuming um source of b12 are are four cowlots and what that's crazy so that's weird so this isn't conspiracy stuff this is just real so so my world is like i want to be in tune with what i'm eating and like i discovered sprouting, like sprouting has been around since the beginning of time. Like there's history of alfalfa sprouts
Starting point is 00:14:51 being grown in Persia 5,000 years ago. They have seeds that they've discovered 1,200 years old that still germinate and sprout. So it's really powerful that the seeds are a living organism they contain a life force and the fact that we can grow these this is like a cheat code yeah but how much of it should we be taking a day like how much i want to add this to my diet so how much should we well i i would say you can eat as much as you want so for me like i'm eating the broccoli sprouts i'm eating you know probably four to eight ounces of broccoli sprouts and how much is that i mean that's about you know
Starting point is 00:15:35 this this much and how many calories per day is up from this is this is the minimum amount of calories this whole thing is maybe a hundred calories. But a handful, a cup of, say, sprouted chickpeas, that's like 250 calories, but 20 grams of protein. So the chickpeas, the lentils, the mung beans, those are very calorically dense. And they're fibrous. and they have the living force in them. So they have the enzymes and they have soluble, insoluble fiber. They have micronutrients, phytonutrients, prebiotics, every single amino acid to form the proteins. and the color are the antioxidants so if you look at like a red radish sprout that red is anthocyanin which is one type of antioxidant the green is chlorophyll another type of antioxidant so this is
Starting point is 00:16:40 very powerful medicine so my download and when I wrote the book, the Sprout book is based on three principles. Number one, sprouts are food. Most people think of them as a garnish. Yeah, I knew. I did. Therefore, I don't even, when the restaurant bring my plate, I'd never touch it. Yeah. Well, it's just, now you have to.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Superpowers sit right there. The cure forever changed. You are forever your own. So the first thing we talked about, Wayne, when I came in about food security, food equality, like during the pandemic, people were worried about toilet paper. They were running out of macaroni and cheese. You couldn't get your cases you know of coca-cola right but for me i'm sitting pretty buying my sprouts and buying my sprouting seeds you know in large bags and buckets you were chilling and i had an abundance yeah and that was the level that when you if you think about it, there are no animals living in nature that are overweight. Like animals manage, even when there's an abundance of food. You could see a lion. It could be with a whole herd of gazelles, and it could go pick off every one.
Starting point is 00:18:24 It takes one. It eats one, it eats it and then it rests. So if we think about our human dynamics, and this was written about by Doug Lyle and Alan Goldhammer in the pleasure trap. But if you think about it, humans want to preserve their energy, right? So naturally lazy present company excluded because you guys take massive initiative, right? But preserve energy. The next one is spread your seed, right? Like pass on the genes, which is why there's intense pleasure derived through sexual activity, right? Because you want to procreate. And then the third is you need nourishment and nutrients in order to survive. And what happens is for most of human life and life on the planet, there was scarcity of food.
Starting point is 00:19:16 There just was not enough food. So people were chucking and jiving and fighting and gathering and food and some hunting in order to get enough calories. Now, in the Instacart culture, in the fast food culture, people can sit and do nothing and get far too many calories. And then there's 500 food scientists sitting in labs in New Jersey using artificial flavors, colors, salt, oil, sugar to trick the brain into overeating. Wow. You had to attack my homestay like that? Yeah. It's just the way it is. I mean, there's the food scientists all over but new jersey you know has a lot you could smell it as you drive through yeah um but basically my my food my food my life is i add no added salt no added sweetener right and no um added oil really so no olive oil no fish oil no no he just
Starting point is 00:20:22 pulls it from he goes to the grocery store he grabs it and he bites it yeah i mean if i want fat right which we need fats i'll eat an avocado okay i'll eat nuts well that's good i'll eat sprouts i'll eat olives but if you think about i'll live olive oil to, it's devoid of the fiber. So you're basically taking 10 olives to make one tablespoon of pure fat. And fat creates insulin resistance. It clogs the arteries. There's all these complications. We don't need more fat. And back to the animal in nature, animals in nature eat when they're hungry, they don't overeat and, you know, they're fighting to get enough calories. And so what I realized is when I simplified my diet towards natural foods that were unseasoned, like the test of being hungry right for me is will you eat raw cauliflower I'm not eating cauliflower then you're not hungry when you're hungry you would eat
Starting point is 00:21:35 that okay you're not hungry you're not really hungry you may have a craving right but we shouldn't confuse cravings with hunger. Okay. So the difference is when you're craving something, it could be out of boredom or addiction. Yeah. Your microbiome, you have five pounds of yeast, fungus, mold, parasites, microorganisms in your gut. Five pounds in your gut. And they control your brain. If you watch Supersize Me, the Morgan Spurlock movie,
Starting point is 00:22:13 under the lens of what I'm saying here, is in the beginning, when he would supersize the McDonald's, he would get nauseous. By the end of the 30 days, he was craving it because they took over his microbiome, took over his brain and made him eat it. Like those two guys are very dangerous named Ben and Jerry's because the ice cream is a perfect engineered concoction of fat, sugar, salt. I love ice cream, but I can't eat anymore. It's too sweet.
Starting point is 00:22:53 It's mucus. It creates mucus in my body. I switch to acai now. I do acai. Yeah, well, much better with acai than eating the cow pus. Yeah, I can't do ice cream at all. Well, 60% of humans, Americans, are lactose intolerant. But realistically, I mean, can you imagine seeing Wayne on the side of the road f***ing
Starting point is 00:23:19 off of a cow? No. Right? When you see a cow, do you get turned on? A little bit. I mean, can you move turned on a little bit i mean can you move over i mean so so the appealing for for dairy like cow milk is designed for a baby calf yeah baby calf to turn into 2 000 pounds like that's what it's designed for. The entire hormonal structure.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Like breast milk is so, like if you think about the connection between a baby and a mother, that when the baby's lips touch the n***a, the formula of the milk that a human mother is producing for the child will change based on what the baby needs based on the time of day wow so that's where like we're in a society right now over 30% of births are scheduled cesarean births. Like they want to get the baby out and they'll cut it open,
Starting point is 00:24:33 they'll pull it out, and that way the doctor can go home on time at 5 o'clock to eat its dinner, right? Natural birth, you know, could be in labor for 24, 40 hours, right? And, you know, so everything is a push towards using drugs, epidurals, using cesarean. And then, you know, I want to get back to leveraging appropriate technology, but then also being as natural as possible. So if you think about, in my philosophy, everything that you put in your mouth is a life or death decision. It's very clear.
Starting point is 00:25:15 And the poison is in the dose. So some of it's not going to kill you right away, but over you know it will degrade the quality of your life and so if you're eating things that are like we have to like there's no way when when when you ate the broccoli sprouts easy you're they're easy but you're not gonna get off on them you got to find other things to get off on yeah other than food. Yeah, but most health, like stuff like that is, the taste is what gets you.
Starting point is 00:25:50 That was easy to eat. You don't taste it anymore. It's almost like I never had it. So I actually, that's what I said, like I'll add that, cause it doesn't, it's not overwhelming. You know what I'm saying? That's great.
Starting point is 00:26:00 And most things that are healthy for you are usually like, you don't wanna, you know, your resistance, you wanna cook it or add seasoning to it or, you know. Well, there's almost some like machismo bravado about smoking, about drinking, about drugs. Yeah, I don't do none of it. Yeah. Well, it doesn't serve you.
Starting point is 00:26:19 It's counterproductive. Yeah. So I'll take a breath and I'll answer some questions. One of the things I really like about your philosophy is there's a lot of people that say you need money to eat healthy, but you basically proved them wrong. This is very cost effective. This is literally under a dollar a serving. Yeah, that's insane.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Yeah, it is. So that's it. And when I think about food equality, food justice, this is what's important. And if we roll back the clock in the 30s and the 40s in America, 40, 50% of people had their own gardens. During World War II, there were victory gardens. And now no one is growing anything. But soil doesn't allow us to, though, in most places. But this is where, this is the ultimate urban farming. I can't tell you, there's now tens of thousands of people living in vans, living in RVs, that are growing their own sprouts. They've got a garden, countertop garden in their RV. Wow. Yeah, this is a game changer because you could grow it anywhere you just need a jar and water jar and water and
Starting point is 00:27:30 what what are the like how long does it take of uh when you start taking it to feel some of the effects or like feel it's fulfilling different about yourself and like what should a person change about their diet too once adding that because i'm i'm a pescatarian i do eat chicken every now and then i don't eat red meat though but you know like if i start taking that today when will i start feeling some of the effects from it like i mean i i think that immediately oh immediately immediately like you're starting to eat things that are high vibrational food like eating a chicken which eats shit and scraps you know like chickens will eat their own like yeah so like like as much as you can replace chicken with you know healthy food like the better you're
Starting point is 00:28:23 gonna feel right okay i got you so what about sean he's he's steak he's got me second guessing my diet right now but i i'm a believer in vibrational energies so does that mean like dark meat have low vibration in it oh yeah i mean basically you know this isn't a political podcast and i just want to think about it that if you there's no humane way of slaughter like the cow wants to live right right and they take the cow and they kill the cow right and when the the you know what the revenge of the cow is? No, heart disease. Heart disease is the silent killer, right?
Starting point is 00:29:12 And the amount of meat that is being consumed in the country today and in the world is destroying the world. Like it takes 1,500 gallons of water to prepare one pound of beef. Whoa. 1,500 gallons. Because you have to grow all that grain,
Starting point is 00:29:37 grow all the plants, feed the cow every single day, until the slaughter. Wow. Right. And you can grow one pound of sprouts with one gallon of water. See, another doctor told us that eating somewhat bloody meat, because it's alive, it's what's good for you. Helps with digestion because it's more rare. So, yeah, I mean, you know, this idea of what I could tell you is when I started to eat plants, because I used to eat everything.
Starting point is 00:30:11 I could still tell you my McDonald's order, right? Two all-beef patties, special sauce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. But I'd have my Big Mac. I'd have a quarter pounder with cheese. I'd have a nine-piece chicken McNugget, I'd have a vanilla shake, a hot fudge sundae, and then if I really, if I had really extra room, I'd have the apple pie. Damn, you got an appetite, my guy. I mean, I like to eat, but also because it's triggering in your brain to overeat more. I couldn't stop.
Starting point is 00:30:45 And with sprouts, I could tell you, I don't as much as like, I'm an overeater. My brother said, if I wasn't eating raw plants, I'd weigh 500 pounds. How many pounds did you lose when you started going sprout route? I lost 38 pounds. Wow.
Starting point is 00:31:00 And then- But as you cut out everything, all right? You just- Oh yeah, I eat clean now. I eat fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, seaweeds, and sprouts. And have you taken a blood test to see if you have deficiencies? Oh, my blood and my body, I'm 57, right? I can bang out.
Starting point is 00:31:18 How many pushups you bang out at, Wayne? I'm not sure, but I can bang out some. 25, 30? Yeah, around there. Yeah, like I do it effortless. Wow. Effortless. That's impressive. I wouldn't even lose my breath. out there wayne um i'm not sure but i can i can bring out some 25 30 yeah we're on there yeah like i do it effortless wow effortless that's impressive i wouldn't lose my breath yeah and you know i run 5k 10k 15k while i'm on the phone like i'm hustling like wow i'm like just moving yeah and i was never like that before like i was I was just behind the desk eating, but when my aunt in 1998
Starting point is 00:31:52 got diabetes, type two diabetes, they amputated both of her feet. Oh my gosh. And then a year later, she died of complications of heart disease and diabetes. Oh my gosh. And you you're 100 healthy right now no anything oh yeah 56 57 yeah you don't even look 57 yeah you don't i don't feel i don't i mean you don't even have gray hairs no and i don't dye my hair yeah so that shows that's that's showing
Starting point is 00:32:17 proof that it's the food wow yeah and you take no supplements or no other than only only be 12 wow only be 12 impressive that's impressive yeah and it's it's just simple and like what i'm what you know what my message really is is that sprouts are this hidden gem and in um in japan do you know how many packs of broccoli sprouts are sold every day how much four hundred thousand so you should move out there and just and they have the longest broccoli sprouts are sold every day. How much? 400,000. So you should move out there and just- And they have the longest lifespan there, right? Japan.
Starting point is 00:32:50 Yeah, yeah. So you can buy broccoli sprouts like in 7-Eleven in Japan. They have 20,000 retailers that sell broccoli sprouts and Japan's a small country. Why don't you start your own brand? Package it up. I mean, right now my mission is to share the message of sprouting and communicate with people. And I'm hallucinating what products would be to create a experience around this.
Starting point is 00:33:22 I love product design. And today, there's no national sprout company yeah i think you should because i don't again it's also asked where do you get it you need to face the company for sure you literally would be the face of the company and i think it would probably do good especially with this message yeah i mean i i love the encouragement you know and i'll take that into consideration yeah no i'm for real like buying some today yeah you have a message behind it and it i mean you're showing proof of it i mean you're 57 years old yeah don't look a day over what 45 yeah you don't yeah gray hairs none i mean
Starting point is 00:34:00 yeah and and when people start younger do you know uh mike posner yeah so mike started the sprout diet mike went raw vegan about five months ago and he's like just off the charts now just like shredded you know ran up mount everest climbed mount everest walked across the country is now doing the wim hof breath. Yeah. And he's eating eight. See, he in his- How does this help with the lungs again? Can you explain that? When you are exposed to toxins- Which we all are.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Right, right. So exhaust, like I went to my car dealership and they got the Prop 65 thing in California because exhaust has benzene in it and you breathe that in. The broccoli sprouts can detoxify those chemicals from the lungs. Wow. What about with people who have post- What is it?
Starting point is 00:34:57 Post- Asbestos. Post-COVID. I know someone- Long COVID. Who, yeah, also suffers. I don't use the C word. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:07 The cancel word is the c word yeah so so basically does it help with that i i believe it does okay and i also like if you think about it the people who were eating like this, right, were at virtually very, very little risk of getting it at all. And then when they got it, they breezed through it. So you wanna have like healthy immune system. You wanna be vibrant. You know, if you think about all nutrition to be assimilated in the body has to be converted into liquid.
Starting point is 00:35:49 So when you're consuming things that are water-based and you chew them well and you masticate them, they go into the stomach, into the small intestine, then into the colon, and you're basically just extracting the nutrients. When you put a piece of fish in your stomach, right? What would happen if you left a piece of fish out on your counter for 24, 30, et cetera? It would spoil. It would spoil. You'd see maggots coming out of it, right?
Starting point is 00:36:16 Maggots, parasites coming out of it. How long do you think it takes for the fish to pass through the tunnel from your mouth through your sphincter? I know it takes about 24 to 48 hours. Meat, steak is seven days. What? Fish is about a day and a half. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Yeah. So you have this decaying stuff going on in your body. Right. Which creates inflammation. Creates inflammation and inflammation. And, you know, like your podcast and you're getting your message out, just have people look at the side effects of like Lipitor and statins. Like you almost can't, like if you're a man over 40,
Starting point is 00:37:01 they're recommending, like you must be on a statin. You must be on Lipitor right which is a cholesterol lowering drug i'm going to ask you a question what fruit vegetable seed or nut has the most cholesterol i don't know i would say i'm my guess would be all of them. Yeah, what's the answer? Wait, none of them. None of them. Yeah, I was going to say, wait, wait, he said seed, vegetable, yeah, no, none of them.
Starting point is 00:37:32 So plants have no cholesterol. None of them, yeah, yeah, yeah. And the body does not need LDL cholesterol. The body manufactures HDL cholesterol, which you need, right? And you can get your omega-3 fatty acids from plants and from sea algae. And everything is just like, did you ever take like a fish oil supplement? I do. I take omega-3 daily. You?
Starting point is 00:38:03 Yeah. I take it daily. Yeah, why? you ever smell that yeah you know why it's rancid what rancid it's gone bad so we're eating bad vitamins yeah yeah and do you know where the do you know where the oh i hate it here. I don't want to burst your bubbles, but do you know where the fish get the omega-3s from? The water, right? No. Where they get it from?
Starting point is 00:38:34 The algae? They get it from the algae. Right. So if you're going to take a supplement, go right for the source. Go right to the algae. What about sea moss? Because I take sea moss. What do you think about that?
Starting point is 00:38:43 I think sea moss is great. So does that have omega-3? It really depends on the algae. What about sea moss? Because I take sea moss. What do you think about that? I think sea moss is great. So does that have omega-3? It really depends on the variety. Okay. But sea moss is less of an algae and it's more of a sea vegetable. Okay. There are others like nori has high EPA and DHA. So you have to go into it.
Starting point is 00:39:03 I'm not a CMOS, I'm not the CMOS king. Stop taking omega-3 supplements and take algae. Or if you're going to take a supplement, get one that's algae-based. But which, I've never even heard of that. So what supplement? Just message me, I'll send you a link link i'm not big on the supplement parts because chia and flax have ala and if you're taking enough uh omega-3 um fatty acids ala yeah and um from chia and flax and you're having nori your my omega-3 levels are perfect love it okay doug it's been a blast any closing comments any advice yeah i, I I feel like I was a little aggressive
Starting point is 00:39:48 No, and we were and I did I just want to say like I accept you guys you eating your chicken Steak it's not a war. I don't want you guys to change like I'm Passionate about health, but you know, I'm passionate about health i'm passionate about health i like it and i want to tell the truth yeah right as i know it as i've experienced it and you're just concerned yeah and look i have a child and you know you look at the planet and you know where where there's so much destruction going on that like i want to just alert people that they can have you know, where there's so much destruction going on that, like, I want to just alert people that they can have, you know, a different experience with the life. And the other thing I just want to say is, you know, you can be into two worlds. You can be in scarcity or you can be in abundance.
Starting point is 00:40:41 And you're already living in abundance. I mean, you guys are young, successful guys, right? You're living in abundance. Imagine making every decision from the place of abundance, right? And so when I look at what I'm going to eat, like abundance of sprouts, right? Where do I want to go? You know, like i can do anything and so if you operate from the perspective of abundance you can be kinder you can be more gentle and most most important just love yourself a little bit more give yourself a break love it wayne
