This is exactly right.
Double Elvis.
When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands.
I vowed. I will be his last target.
He is not going to get away with this.
He's going to get what he deserves.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.
On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Your husband is not who you think he is.
Your body is not what you thought it was.
Your identity is formed by a secret history.
I'm Danny Shapiro.
And these are just a few of the stunning stories
I'll be exploring on the 14th season of Family Secrets.
He kind of shoved me out of the way and said, move.
And he went out the front door and he jumped in a car and drove off.
And that was the last time I saw him.
Listen to season 14 of Family Secrets, starting May 7th,
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
This season on Dear Chelsea, with me, Chelsea Handler,

My first thing is always, can you think of anything else that you can do?
You'd rather be disappointed in.
Do that.
David O'Yello.
I love this podcast, whether it's therapy or relationships or religion or sex or addiction
or you just go straight for the guts.

Just a touch to get you through?
Yeah, me too.
This is the podcast that comes after the podcast.
Welcome to Disgraceland, the After Party.
Welcome to the Disgraceland bonus episode.
A little thing we like to call the after party.
This is the show after the show, the party after the party,
the bridge to get you from one full episode of Disgraceland to the other,
the backyard to dig into the dirt.
On this episode, we are talking about, among other things, our new full episode on Jane's Addiction, this week's rewind episode on Juice World.
And of course, your voicemails, text, DMs, and more.
And as always, a whole lot of rosy.
All right, discos, let's get into it.
All right, guys, this week in disgrace land, like I said, at the top, brand new episode on Jane's Addiction.
Groundbreaking, confrontational rock band from Los Angeles.
if you were not around back in the 80s and 90s,
and you weren't there for Jane's Addiction to hit your radar,
sort of show up for you in your suburban bedroom there,
while you're comfortably ensconced with your Metallica and your guns and roses,
and then all of a sudden, what the hell is this?
Jane's Addiction! Are you kidding me?
There was nothing, nothing. I mean nothing like them before.
And, you know, when you're a kid, you get a record by a band,
I remember this with the cult.
I got the cult's electric album,
and I was like, this band.
Oh, my God.
They're the next Beatles.
The next stones.
The next doors.
That's actually who they were, the next doors.
They were just, that album in particular,
was just knocked, blew me away.
And then I saw them live.
I actually saw them open from Metallica.
And they were awful.
They were not good.
And they just kind of had this rep as not being good live.
It was the opposite with Jane's addiction.
It was almost like when they were coming for that first time,
where I was able to see them,
I don't know if it was the first time they played in Massachusetts.
It was at this roller rink?
No, not a roller rink.
It was like some small auditorium in Fitchburg, Mass.
I can't think of the name of it now.
But anyways, they just over-delivered as a live band.
They were unbelievably good.
Just incredible.
And then I saw them later, about a year later, I think,
on the Lollapalooza tour and just also great then and they were kind of over it by then they were packed
in that was their last tour they were done after that jane's addiction were just one of those bands man who
just you didn't expect them you didn't know you wanted them and when you got them you didn't want to
let go and they were gone almost before they even seemed to get here it just happened so fast um for us
on the east coast anyways of course jane's addiction led by singer perry farrell much more than a singer
just guy's an artist, he's an impresario, he's a multi-hyphenate, he's just an incredible creative
person that we're lucky to be alive at the same time as this guy. That's how good Jane's Addiction
are, and that's how much of a contribution he's made, obviously with Lollapalooza, porn or for
pyros, everything the guy's done and continues to do. And of course, we cannot forget guitarist
Dave Navarro, and that's kind of, you know, Dave is sort of the forefront of our episode
on Jane's Addiction.
We talk a lot about the true crime connected to Dave,
connected to the murder of his mom.
We don't spend a lot of time in the episode digging in
to sort of the place in time that Jane's addiction inhabited,
alongside bands like REM, the Pixies, the Cure,
all that kind of college stuff that was percolating
before Jane's Addiction,
and that Jane's Addiction took from the left of the dial
and just like jammed it,
down the throat of the mainstream. It became what we now call alternative rock. And it was a new
thing. And Jane's addiction were at the vanguard of that. And of course, Perry Farrell in Lollapalooza.
They're only around for a short period of time. Like I mentioned, you know, in the early days,
it was that first album, the had the live cuts on it, live version of Jane says, rock and roll,
the Velvet Underground cover. Then, of course, the nothing shocking album. And then ritual,
daylo habitual my goodness my goodness great music 617 906 666 636 38 the jane's addiction hit you when
you were a kid does jane's addiction connect with you now are you new to jane's addiction are you like
what the fuck is this jane who's this jane's person that this guy's talking to me about right now do you know
nothing about jane's addiction but want to know more 617 90666 638 hit me up i'll tell you where to
start all right it's not it's not been caught stealing it's mountain song okay maybe three days you know you know what it is it's
Ocean Size. If you've never heard a Jane's Addiction song before in your life right now,
go listen to Ocean Size. And then call me 617-90666-66-3-8 and let me know what you think about it.
Let me know what you think the greatest rock band of the 1990s is. All right? I know a lot of you're
going to say Nirvana. I know a lot of you're going to say Pearl Jam. I don't know that I would say
either of those bands. I'm putting Jane's Addiction very high at the top of that list.
617-9066638. I know what I think. I want to know what you think. So hit me up.
voicemail and text.
Tomorrow, okay, we've got a rewind episode in the feed
on Juice World.
This is one of those guys, you know, what are you gonna call him,
emo rap, hip hop artist, he's just kind of like all over the place.
Young artist died way too soon, developed this global audience,
also developed the attention of the FBI.
You're gonna hear about that in the episode
and his sudden tragic death.
All right, so to recap, that's a brand new episode
on Jane's Addiction, plus a rewind episode on Juice World,
all in the Disgracedland feeds this week.
I don't know if you're following us on Instagram at Disgracelam Pod,
but we've been doing these little mini 30 to 60 seconds stories over there,
some of the highlights, some of the holy shit learning moments from the episodes.
If you're not following us, get over there at Disgracelam Pod.
Check us out.
We're putting those videos on TikTok as well, also at DisgracelamPod.
And we've started populating the YouTube channel once again.
DIY, gritty.
I'm into it. Get over there.
If that's your chosen place to consume content, we are there as well.
We're also on X. We are everywhere at Disgracelam Pod, all right?
617-90666-6638 voicemail for the old school 617-90666-6638 text for the new school.
Disgracelampod at gmail.com to email me.
Let's do an email right now.
From Marty E. Subject is Hanoi Rocks and New York.
York Dolls, Jake, you might consider doing a podcast about Hanoi Rocks. They were the band that Guns and
Roses got the term, Welcome to the Jungle from, via the song, Underwater World. Of course, you know that
their drummer, Razzle, died in Vince Neal's infamous drunk driving accident in late 1984.
The band were known for their decadent ways. They were one of the first Western bands to play
behind the Iron Curtain and were very influential on rock and roll in the 80s on both sides
of the Atlantic. You also could do a lot worse than to do one about the New York Doll.
for far too many reasons for me to write here.
Keep up the great work, Marty E.
Marty, love the email, dude.
Yeah, I'd love to do one on Hanoi Rocks,
as you kind of alluded to there.
We did do a Vince Neil episode,
Maltly Crew episode, and we got into the death of Razzle in that.
And I've known about Hanoi Rocks Forever
with bass player.
One of my old bands was obsessed with them.
And would love to get into it.
Just want to let you know.
we did, however, cover the New York Dolls. You can find that episode in the archive. Let's do one more
email here. This one from Chris Wolcock says subject matter, the worst taxi driver. Hey, Jake, loved
the NXS episode. You really nailed it. And even though I knew a lot about the subject, you and your
team managed to unpack more knowledge. Yes, a lot of Australians think that Michael died
from autoerotic asphyxiation, I guess because it's impossible to imagine someone with so much
could want to take their own life. But it's just an image. A screenst
shot of someone's true reality.
It doesn't matter how rich or how famous he was.
He still felt pain like the rest of us, perhaps more.
Just a sad, sad loss, a total disgrace.
Cheers, Chris.
Chris, thank you for the email there, dude.
I appreciate that.
It's reminding me, you know, this, the response for the NXS episode from you guys
has been incredible, really, really moving and validating to us here at Double Elvis.
And it just, it's occurred to me, you know, this, this Michael Hutchins in excess subject has been one that you guys have been requesting for a long, long, long, long time.
And for whatever reason, it just took us a while to get into it.
And we did get into it.
And it just said, the response has been overwhelming.
And I'm kind of like, oh, shit, man, I should, you know, there are a couple of these subjects that you guys overwhelmingly have been asking for.
Scott Weiland is one of them.
I'm not the biggest Stone Temple Pilots fan.
I didn't grow up liking them at all.
And it just doesn't appeal to me.
They do now, I guess, musically, but the subject matter,
just not something I'm too too interested in.
But we dove in and we put our backbones into it.
And I'm pretty happy with what we came up with.
So that one's coming soon.
Another one, it strikes me as one that you guys have been requesting a lot of similar terrain
to Scott Weiland is Lane Staley from Alice in Chains.
we'll be getting into him soon as well.
So I'm going to try, I'd like to think I'm pretty responsive to the subjects you guys want.
I tend to lean a little more heavily into the stuff that's interesting to me at the moment.
And that is usually more obscure names.
But I'm going to try to dig more fully into the artist that you guys have been clamoring for.
And that tends to be some of the bigger names.
So be on the lookout for that stuff next year with the upcoming new episode.
off the top of my head.
We've got one on the clash.
We've got, I don't want to give it all the way.
We'll do a more formal unveiling somewhere soon.
All right, so disgracelampod at gmail.com
for the email 617-90666-6638 to get at me on any subject.
I'm going to take a quick break back in a flash.
There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games.
You get stupid games.

I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their
own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he
deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or

week I sit down with the true crime writers behind some of the most compelling true crime

Remember when you'd walk into your local video rental place and there were always those two employees behind the counter arguing about movies?
Well, that's us. I'm Millie de Cherico.
And I'm Casey O'Brien. And now we're arguing about movies on our podcast.
Dear Movies, I Love You, from the exactly.
Right Network. Can I say something about the Criterion Clause? Go ahead, dude. They're letting too many
people in there. Okay, that's another film, grape I got two. Sadly, that rental place doesn't exist
anymore. It's probably a store that sells running shoes. Or an ice cream shop with an extra
P and an E at the end. So consider us your slacker movie clerks in podcast form. I would like to
establish a timeline of the moment you figured out who Channing Tatum was. Every Tuesday, we

Listen to Dear Movies I Love You on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, guys, we are back.
I'm going to do some DMs here before I get into the voicemails and the text.
Just want to shout out to at Todd Kitta on Twitter for the amazing, amazing zombie Elvis art that he put together.
Uh, really cool stuff. I'm going to be sending this out myself soon, but I just woke up to this
yesterday morning and love the fan art, especially this, Todd, great work. I'm excited to show you guys.
Also, want to, uh, shout out here, Nan Humble, who hit us up on Instagram and she's got,
you know, we, we've been talking about pet dogs and our pets, our dogs, and you guys have been
sending the dog photos. And I love it and I'm here for it. But, uh, Nan sent in the pictures of her two,
pet goats and their names are Miles and Coltrane and, you know, one is a little more accessible
than the other. That's how she put it, which I thought was really funny. I also want to shout
out Spencer Lau. I think that's how you pronounce his last name, sent us his band's album.
The band is called Heat of the Night and the album is called Wait What and Nine songs. Pretty Good
Good Stuff. Checked it out. It was into it. So that's Spencer Lau in his band. Heat of the Night. Check that out.
if you guys are interested in that.
Also, shout out to my guy, Matt Surly Camera, on Instagram.
I was talking about this book.
My friend Tiller hit me to the other day, Rolling Thunder Logbook.
It is Sam Shepard, the playwright and author, who I absolutely love, follower of the fourth way.
And Sam, of course, is famously on the Rolling Thunder review tour with Bob Dylan,
and he published this Rolling Thunder log book that is way out of print.
You can get it digitally, but that's not fun.
And I got a pretty cool book collection here, and I try to keep it all hardcover.
The cheapest hardcover of this book that I could find was about $500.
But like I said, shout out to my guy Matt, who hit me with a $54 version of it.
So pretty stoked about that.
Check out the Rolling Thunder logbook.
If you guys are interested in that Dillon stuff, you'll dig it.
Dallas Marie 0401 writes in, love your shit, keeps me entertained at work.
work, working laundry, and sometimes housekeeping at Hilton Garden Inn.
Keep it coming.
Love you from North Dakota.
Guys, I love all the messages at Disgracelam pod on Instagram, Twitter, excuse me, X.
Hit me on YouTube.
TikTok.
TikTok.
Oh, God, I got to tell you guys about this.
If you're on TikTok, wait a minute, hold on, let me find it.
So, yeah, if you're on TikTok, I came across this the other day.
So this is what's going on.
We noticed that our Taylor Swift episode was, that was released way back in the beginning
of 2022. We noticed yesterday that it was creeping up the charts again, made it into the top 10.
We're like, what the hell is going on? So I go on TikTok and I find that this, you know,
Taylor Swift, Swifty superfan was talking about the episode and directing her audience to go check it
out. And from there, and this is what I found. I found there's this really nice woman on TikTok. Her name is
Her handle is at Sandra underscore the Rican princess.
Don't blame me.
That's literally her handle verbatim.
And she's on there just reading the Disgraceland Taylor Swift episode and then adding commentary.
And it's, she's lovely.
She's got an incredible voice.
And I'm just here for it.
And look, if any of you all want to just go on to TikTok and start reading Discraceland,
go for it and tag me at Disgraceland pod.
and I will hype the shit out of you
because I think it's fucking awesome.
All right.
At Disgracelampod on TikTok
at Disgraceland Pod on Instagram and X.
Let's do some voicemail 617-906-66-663-8.
This voicemail from the 970.
7-0.
I'd have to say, listen like thieves is a great album for NXS.
I did like Tick as well,
but I had Listen Like Seves
and I played it so much.
I love that album.
Great songs on there.
And yeah, that's about it.
Love your show.
Love the episode.
Keep doing what you're doing.
See.
Dylan, what's up, man?
I love listening like these as well.
I hope I didn't give the impression that I didn't.
I probably gave more hype to kick just because there's more hits on it.
But they are both great.
They're both great.
I think I like kick more.
I think I like the tunes on it more.
But I don't know.
I don't know.
I take your point.
All right, let's check out this voicemail from the 505.
Beginning.
It's a just.
Hey, Abby.
Thanks for the call.
Appreciate you.
Guys, just so you know what Abby's talking about,
I floated the idea of combining all of our content into just the disgrace land feed.
So basically, bad land subjects and disgrace land subjects in just one feed.
And there's a lot of reasons I'm thinking about doing this.
Let me know what you think.
Abby seems to be forward.
this would open up just focusing more, more on icons in general from cross disciplines,
not just music, not just actors.
We could do athletes like we were doing in Sportsland earlier.
We can do poets.
We can do the beat writers.
We can do classical composers.
I'm just, I can tell all of your interests are as varied as mine are.
And I'm never not going to be music first.
I am so music focused.
And I think even if we were to do this,
a lot of the episodes we would actually produce
that weren't necessarily on music subjects
would still have a heavy music focus.
For example, the Steve McQueen episode
that we just put together for Badlands
has a lot of music in it.
And it's just what we do.
It's our first gear, our second gear,
our third gear, our fourth gear,
and our fifth gear, and our sixth gear,
if you're driving my car.
So that's, yeah,
that's what we're thinking. Abby Stoke that you're into it.
617-90666-663-8.
Interested to know what you guys would think about that.
If you haven't chimed in, let me know.
Send me a text. Send me a voicemail.
Also want to know what you guys would want in terms of content, new content, stuff that you
don't have from me yet.
I'm thinking to do it on a Patreon.
And this is not something where you'd have to subscribe, like when I went
exclusive to Amazon, you had to download that app and it was the only place you could get the episodes.
I'm talking about net new content, special content, exclusive content for the super fans,
for the super disgrace land community, the discos, thinking about doing, I did this on Instagram,
I floated out some ideas, thinking about doing ad-free episodes that you could access
through the subscription, thinking about doing, I kind of want to do a sleep, like a nighttime
podcast like just a real short one just something the something that's kind of my version of
of noir perhaps fiction that is uh just scored in a really kind of moody moody way and i would
perform it in a real kind of lo-fi low-key voice that would hopefully lull you guys to sleep
um that's that's something that i kind of want in my life from from one of my favorite
podcasters. I don't know who. So that was an idea that seemed to get a lot of traction,
surprisingly. I didn't think it was going to. So those are the two main offerings that we're
thinking about from the subscription side. Also exclusive merch. Oh, by the way, we have some new
merch right now. Go to the website, disgracelandpod.com. And yeah, we got some new zombie Elvis pins
and restocked the zombie Elvis shirts. And I think we got some double Elvis shirts to the cool
double Elvis logo. Those are going to go fast. We're going to clean those out by the end of the
year and then we're going to do an entirely new merch run coming up at the beginning of
2024 so if you want those items those three items the pin is back in stock you can nab that
and then i'm going to have some new fresh stuff for you beginning of the year and perhaps
uh we'll be doing some exclusive merch uh in patreon or in whatever subscription service we end up
going with so that's what i'm thinking let me know what you think let me know what you want
i don't want to i don't want to waste time doing anything that you guys don't want so hit me up
617-906-66-6638 voicemail and text.
Let's do some texts.
Oh, by the way, I've been talking about how I'm going to hit more voicemails and more text and respond to you guys.
I think once a week on Instagram, I'm just going to pull out the phone, start listening to voicemails,
film myself answering them to you right there.
Okay, I'll be able to bang through boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, a whole ton of them, all right.
So keep an eye out for that.
I think I'm going to do this today when you're hearing this.
I think I'll be doing it on Thursday.
All right.
We'll see how long that lasts.
Let's do some text.
619 writes in,
Hey, what about an episode on Ramstein?
No idea if there's anything scandalous about them.
But God damn, they rock.
You know, I get a lot of requests from Ramstein.
And I don't know, I don't know if it's, there's a crime there, man.
But there's usually always some dark way in.
So I'll check it out.
423 writes in, Jake, my man, this is Jeff.
texting from the 423.
but I'm from the 706.
What about an episode on Mozart?
Was he a fiend that his wife, Costanza,
labels him of being in the movie Amadeus?
Just watched Amadeus.
I think I mentioned that to you guys.
Hey, I'm thinking about this.
I can't decide if I want to do Amadeus
or if I want to do Bach
or if I want to do someone even more obscure.
I got real close back in the day.
Right when I launched Disgraceland,
I got real close to doing an entire series
on composers.
I was going to be called Decomposed.
You can't steal that.
And it was basically going to be disgrace land, but for composers,
we're going to do it with WNYC in New York.
Like I said, I came real close,
and the disgracelland blew up,
and then I never did it,
but I've always wanted to do,
get into the composer stuff,
because some of it is so dark,
and I'm just, I'm interested in it.
I want to know more about it.
All right, so the 303, I love you guys.
The 303 writes in,
your after-party discussion
about combining disgraceland and bad lands
inspired some creativity.
Here we go.
Quote,
the stories from Double Elvis are insane.
They tell stories about Charles Manson,
Big Lurch, and Marilyn Monroe,
all with the same podcast host
because Double Elvis makes great podcasts.
Unlike a lot of other podcasts,
those aren't great podcasts that use
preset loops from a Melotron.
Jake plays us those loops
because he can't afford the rights
to the number one songs in America.
And why would you listen
to a second-rate true crime
and entertainment podcast?
if you don't have to, because Double Elvis has the number one true crime and music podcast on the
internet. I love you 303. Love the creativity. I already got an idea on how I would handle those A-Blockes
if we do do the combination. We'll see. All right, Mary writes in, have you thought of doing an
episode on Shane McGowan? There's a lot to unpack there with all of his arrests. And I heard that
he just passed away today, 1130. What a loss. He was a great songwriter. Keep up the good work,
rockerola. We have thought about it. And, and,
We almost did it this year in time for Christmas.
And if you're a Pogs fan, you'll know why that's relevant.
But we didn't do it.
We ended up doing a Mariah Carey one in time for Christmas this year.
And now I'm kicking myself in the IRS because Shamagon just died a couple days ago.
And, you know, Mariah Carey can't compare.
I do love what we did with that episode.
Also, we got a Diddy episode coming up next week.
I should talk about this real briefly.
We covered this Diddy story,
not the one that's been going on,
not the one that just hit today
where he's accused of gang raping a 17-year-old girl
and not the one about the RMB singer Cassie
that was settled a couple weeks ago.
This, our episode, goes way back to the 90s
and the whole nightclub shooting debacle
involving Diddy and Jennifer Lopez.
And it's more of a, just the story of Sean Cohn.
there will be a heavy disclaimer at the head of that episode.
And then we'll get into all the other allegations.
And however this plays out, we'll get into it next year in a subsequent ditty episode, I'm sure.
So when you're like, what the hell is this ditty episode even about?
Now you know.
All right.

Check, Discreaceland at Disgraceland Pod, I think on Thursday.
So if you're hearing this on a Thursday, that's today.
I want to be doing more of these voicemails and more of these texts in there.
Take a quick break back in a flash.
There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.
a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed. I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.

I'm Kate Winkler Dawson,
host of the Wicked Words podcast. Each week I sit down with the true crime writers behind some of the
most compelling true crime stories and discuss their years spent investigating and why it still matters.
He sees his father coming out of the woods with his hands over his face, and he knows something
happened. His father just grabs him and says she's gone. She's gone. These are the cases that
leave survivors, families and the journalists who cover them changed forever.
Working in national television, it'll push you to your limits,
and you'll end up doing things you never thought you'd do.
You know, you look back at it and you're like,
I can't believe that really happened.
Join me and step inside the investigation.

Remember when you'd walk into your local video rental place
and there were always those two employees behind the counter arguing about movies?
Well, that's us.
I'm Millie de Cherico.
And I'm Casey O'Brien.
And now we're arguing about movies on our podcast, Dear Movies I Love You, from the Exactly Right Network.
Can I say something about the Criterion Clause?
Go ahead, dude.
They're letting too many people in there.
Okay, that's another film, Grape I Got Two.
Sadly, that rental place doesn't exist anymore.
It's probably a store that sells running shoes.
Or an ice cream shop with an extra pee and an E at the end.
So consider us your slacker movie clerks in podcast form.
I would like to establish a timeline of the moment you figured out who Channing Tatum was.
Every Tuesday, we dig into the movies we can't stop obsessing over, from hidden gems to big screen favorites.

66638. That's how you can hit me on voicemail. That's how you can hit me on text at Disgracelam Pod.
You can hit me there as well. I want to give you guys some music recommendations, what I've been listening to.
Just the, you know, the most honest way to do this is to just go through my listening history here.
And I've been listening to a lot of air lately. Just the album Moon Safari because my five-year-old is obsessed with it.
My five-year-old, I had air on in the car, and he just got sucked in immediately.
And the first thing he said after just listening for about five minutes straight was,
Dad, I want a keyboard.
He's five.
So he's got a keyboard, but it's one of those keyboards that has like eight gazillion presets in it.
One of those cheap ones you get.
And it's just, I found that those are just too distracting.
I was like, I'm just going to get him like a vintage electric whorlitzer or a Rhodes piano or something similar that he's just,
He's just forced to contend with the notes on the keyboard.
So I might do that.
I don't know.
He's still listening to Air.
He requests it every night.
I bought the,
when my wife bought the record for him,
but when he goes to take his shower every night,
he requests that I play air on the speaker in the bathroom.
So he can wind down.
It's just, it's hysterical.
He's into French pop.
He'll be smoking cigarettes by next week.
So if you guys have kids,
kids anyone has kids this is what i was going to ask anyone has kids and um you got him playing keyboards piano
or something early on hit me up 617 906 666 666 3 8 let me know how you did it all right my son my youngest
i can tell he's he's very musical and uh i want to uh i want to i don't want to force him in any
direction but he asked so i just want to you know want to be there for him also i'm still because i
watch the killer spotify is telling me i am still obsessed with the smiths this is true listening to a lot of
Smiths listening to the graduate soundtrack, which if you're following me on Instagram,
you will know why.
Listening to the new Queens of the Stone Age album, Not So New, it was released earlier this year
in Times New Roman.
Awesome record.
I'm loving it.
One of our listeners is in this band called Dark Shores, and he made this record.
It's this real kind of chill, moody, instrumental stuff.
Hold on a second.
The album, excuse me.
Yeah.
Yeah.
the album is called
Night City and
the artist is called
Loop de May. This will give you a taste.
It's good. I fucking dig it. I've been listening to it a lot. Thank you.
I don't want to get sued, though, so I'm just shutting that shit off.
What else we got here? What else have I listened to? Bach, Bing Crosby,
Pixies Tromp Lamont. Yeah, Pixies Trompeamon. We were talking about the 90s,
191. That might be my favorite record of the year. I think it's
also my favorite Pixies record, and I'm pretty
sure that none of you are going to agree with me on that. But yeah, that is what I'm listening
to. You guys are going to be listening to Juice World tomorrow when we rewind it and we drop it
in the feed from our archive. We originally released our Juice World episode on April 19th,
2022 as part of season 9. I believe it was our 100th episode. I do. I think that's true,
which reminds me. I have a bunch of 100 episode posters that I should probably give to you guys.
This is how we described the episode in the metadata when we released it.
The loss of emo-wrapped Trailblazer Juice World is one of the most sudden tragic and graphic celebrity deaths in recent memory.
His adolescence experimenting with bold beats, prescription pills, and lean set him up to become Gen Z's new spokesperson.
His music helped hit the reset button on popular music, transforming a once bubbly genre into an all-consuming wormhole of depression, tension, and heartache.
But his music earned more than just a goal.
audience. It also drew the attention of the FBI and going off book here. That's what we focus on.
All right. So also, timeline-wise, this is relevant because it was tomorrow December 8th back in 2009
that Juice World died at the age of 21 when the private jet that he was traveling and landed in Chicago.
