Starting point is 00:00:05 Love you, Craig! Pass that deep. He's DJ. Are we going to stop this before? This real quick, because this beat... It's Craig David Week. Craig David Week, man. And he just comes with beats.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Like, you can't get mad when you hear it. I mean, I don't sound to give it justice, but you know what I'm talking about, man. It's an amazing cross between, like, a smooth guitar and a beat. It's just not overpowering beat, but it's like doing stuff. Great composition right here. Just right off the bat. Let's just admire the composition as we move forward. Craig David Week.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Craig David. On my way to see my friends. You let the colorble blacks way for me. Oh my God, there's a lot to unpack here. Oh, my God. There's a lot to unpack here. take in, but... So much.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Because he was about to go, Take him in a Mac, no. No, that's the thing. It's like... I don't want to stop it. We had to, because he was getting to. It's hard to stop it, Craig David, Jam. But we had to...
Starting point is 00:01:28 What was he talking about? Because we gotta dissect. On my way to see my friends, who lived a couple blocks away from me. Oh, oh. He throws so much shit out there in each line. He's literally like telling you a story, as he does. It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:01:40 So he went out to see his friends. He walked through the subway. It was about a quarter past three in front of me. So the beautiful honey, with a beautiful body. I'm going to stop trying to sing Craig Devin. I like it, dude. I like you.
Starting point is 00:01:52 You get on too. I see what you're doing, Craig David brings that out of people. It does. Okay, so he's seeing a girl with a beautiful body. He asks for the time. Nice little intro. Harmless.
Starting point is 00:02:01 It's a good enter. Non-aggressive compliment. It's a little obvious, but. A little obvious, but like, you know what? If you're a smooth like Craig, it's good entry, you get away with it. And this is the part that I'm glad I actually had the lyrics because I never, as you used to listen to the song,
Starting point is 00:02:14 figured out what time she was saying. A six-digit number and a date with me tomorrow at nine what i gotta i'm looking at the lyrics and i'm not even understanding what he's saying she gave him a six-digit number oh wait i missed a line and it's actually a great line how'd you what oh okay castle hang on you're dissecting is not dissecting correctly right now let's go sir she asked him for the time and he said are you ready for this best line i'm stealing it it costs her name so if she wants the time he needs to know her name beautiful she it's gonna cost you your name though i might use that frame line no i can't say that i can't i can't use it but i might but i won't
Starting point is 00:02:56 a six digit number and a date with me tomorrow at nine wait a six digit number oh because he got her number is that what that means no it's seven digits wait how many digits is that like england thing did i even mean yeah do they use like military time i don't know i don't know the point is it's fine it's better than saying it was four o'clock And she was like, cool. Tell me what just have? Did she decline? No.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Didn't she might? I don't think so. Damn sure. Where did they're so she'd keep? Where'd they sewed the hair? Wherever the hell. I don't know. I believe it's Madagascar.
Starting point is 00:03:59 guess guy there you go i used to listen to this verse and then kind of sing but not knowing what i was saying he's going over this conversation he had with a girl in a way that now he's explaining it to his homies that's how it's like i'm reading it as which means that the previous line a six-digit number and a date with me tomorrow at nine was how he responded to the time fucking smooth smooth and she didn't decline and they said didn't she mind i don't think so she didn't seem like Here because he gets into something. Was it for real? A damn show.
Starting point is 00:04:31 What was the deal? A pretty girl aged 24. Real quick. I was asking the question, if this was the same girl from Fill Me In, he just said she's 24. We finally got an age. Between 22 and 25.
Starting point is 00:04:43 This is the same girl from Filming Inn. You think this is where it began? Maybe. Yes. All right. He met this girl on Monday, took her for a drink on Tuesday. Not yet.
Starting point is 00:04:52 And he met her on the way in the neighborhood to his friend's house, which is close by. As you walk through the subway. As you walk through the subway, but it's close by. It's like right around the corner. It's in the area. This is before Fill Me In.
Starting point is 00:05:05 So we're reading this in the wrong answer. No, it's fine. We're doing like the prequel. It's a prequel. It's a prequel. Sometimes it's more fun to do that way. Which, by the way, I never seen Monsters Inc. And I just watched the second one.
Starting point is 00:05:18 And that was the prequel. What is that? Monster's University? That just happened. I feel like I was supposed to watch it in that order anyways. It made more sense to me. Anyways, a little sidebar. Cinnamon Queen.
Starting point is 00:05:27 It's the next question, Cinnamon Queen. His friend, he's explaining this to, weird line of questioning. Like, if you were telling me about a girl that you met, I don't think I'd ask, so was she king. I'd be like, was she keen? What the, what? Does that even mean? And then you followed up with Cinnamon Queen. I'm like, what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:05:46 Was she like red hair? What are you talking about? Speak in actual sentences, Josh. Because then he responds with, let me update. So he doesn't even really answer that. He kind of dances away from that question. Then the guy says, what did she say? What conversation?
Starting point is 00:06:03 Can you imagine this actually being an actual conversation? Because it doesn't really track. I don't know. It works in the song. But he says she loved her rendezvous. She asked me what we're going to do. And he said, Monday, took her for a drink,
Starting point is 00:06:16 and I'll say, that was a dope week. It's a good week. It's a good week right there. So he met this girl on Monday. Yeah, it's good start. Took her for one drink on Tuesday. So they might, like, after work real quick. We're like, let's be it real quick for now.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Let's start with a bottle of Moet for two. I was wondering. That's a bottle. You could call that one, I guess, if it's in a bottle. Either way, they went home Tuesday. We're like, I'll see you. Bye. It's a gracious.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Maybe had a kiss or something good night. It was a nice start. I feel like that would have been included in the song if it was. Okay, so just like, I think, oh, it was had fun. It was a little bit of a head nod. You're so cute and let's see it. Okay. And then they were making love by Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:07:08 So somehow the Tuesday, nothing turned into Wednesday. All right, we get jumped up a notch real quick. Real quick. Yeah. They went from zero to 100. And on Thursday and Friday and Saturday. That's a four straight day bender. First of all, do these people have a job?
Starting point is 00:07:22 Are they, they must be on quarantine? They maybe have a daytime job. I don't know. Daytime job, they met every night. These are every nights, yeah. It could be done. With that, if they do have a daytime job and they made love Wednesday through Saturday. They're already like living with each other.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Why did they just chill on Sunday and not make on Sunday? Would they bored? Because they just did. Four days in a row. Yeah, give me a fifth. give me a fair. At a six. The first week.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Oh, let's get it. We already did four days. Let's keep it rolling. Let's keep it rolling. You know what I mean? No. I don't know. It's kind of one of those things where it's like, do you want to like just over saturate?
Starting point is 00:07:56 Absolutely. And now you're setting a precedent that it's like a six, seven days a week, seven days a week. Well, we can always talk about that. Like remember that first week that we like, you know. Yeah. And it's never that good. Friday and Saturday and we chill on Sunday. You know what I say?
Starting point is 00:08:09 And then you follow that up with it. And you remember how it's never been that good again? You know? You got to. pace yourself, you know? You gotta like work your way in. So four is okay. Five's just a little too much. I think they could have taken a break on like Thursday, you know? Like just chill. Like, hey, you know, hey, Friday's still available.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Well, I'll see you on Friday again, you know? That last line said, because I'd be getting mine and she was looking fine. She'd talker, she told me she'd love to unfold me all night long. That last line said, she'd love to unfold me all night long. What? What are you laundry? What do you unfold? How long it takes to unfold?
Starting point is 00:08:49 Yeah. Like, once you're unfolded, like... No, I don't know. I guess it's a little deep. I mean, I see what she's trying to do. She's trying to be like, let's do this all night long and I'm going to unfold you, but once you're unfolded, you're kind of... Are you talking about, like, he was, like, sleeping?
Starting point is 00:09:01 She's trying to, like, unfold, like, wait. All night long, though? It's like... After about 10 minutes. Got work in the morning. You've also had me up last six to seven days in a row. We've been up for four days. It is Sunday.
Starting point is 00:09:14 work on Monday. Stop trying to unfold me. That I'm talking about. This is the dangerous precedents you set when you initiate the first week when you met her on Monday. And then you go Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Then you chill on Sunday. And by the way, do you think he chilled with her on Sunday? Yes, that's part of it.
Starting point is 00:09:31 I mean, I feel like that's part of the whole. Yeah, that's what it sounds like. I mean, obviously could have been like. That's what I mean. He could just chilled by himself. I think he said we chilled on Sunday. We chilled on Sunday. We'll check on the second first.
Starting point is 00:09:41 He says it again. We'll double check that. All right. Is there anything else in that line that we need? need to hear that there was some good smooth lineage but like it's just him being Craig yeah Craig being Craig yeah I love the way you kicked it from the front of the back
Starting point is 00:09:52 you flipped it hope that you care because I'm a man will always be there I'm not a man to play around baby because the one night stand isn't really fair when the first depression got when you don't seem to be like that
Starting point is 00:10:08 because there's a need to check there'll be plenty time for that from the subway to my home and it's ringing off my phone when you're feeling All alone I got to do It's just call me, call me
Starting point is 00:10:23 Monday Okay, there is a line that definitely stood out there Tell us Endless ringing of my phone So we're already discussing About how you jumped from meeting this girl on Monday To Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday A Friday, Saturday we chilled on Sunday
Starting point is 00:10:39 And then into the next week It doesn't sound like there was ever a break taken That's just how life goes now On top of that now we're throwing Endless ringing of my phone Turned stalkers real quick. Remember how I said You need to set up certain precedent
Starting point is 00:10:52 You gotta kind of like ease your way in When you give the girl that you met on Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday through Sunday Now she's endlessly ringing your phone You've now brought in a life mate If I know she's the one I mean he's talking glory They were together Wednesday through Saturday
Starting point is 00:11:10 It wasn't like they were bored It obviously was good So if we're kicking it on Sunday Unless she doesn't want to, of course. I'm gonna go ahead and make a love for five straight days. Castle, I'm sorry. He does say that he loved the way she kicked it. From the front and back, he flipped. He was getting it. Yeah. No, I mean, it's good. So why not do it five days? He's enjoying it. I see your point, but I don't. You know what I mean? I just feel like when you bring in the
Starting point is 00:11:32 endless ringing on my phone and that's where it's like, initial red flag. That's a first red flag. Like, this is all chill. I'm loving every day. But the endless ringing of the phone, the fact that it refers to as endless ringing of the phone, that sounds like. What if he's saying a ring in her phone though that's not what it says I'm looking at their lyrics but maybe he's leaving that part out I don't know I doubt it though let's hear what they're doing again all week I think I know what's going definitely we chilled they chilled we chilled on Sunday yeah him and her sure yeah sure chill on Sunday that's got on Monday took before a drink on Tuesday
Starting point is 00:12:24 by my count now that's three weeks without a day off four weeks three four You're right, because they said it's twice. Okay. Four straight weeks. Is it just one week? This is only seven days. The name of the song is seven days. I don't think it's seven days times, seven days time, seven days times seven days.
Starting point is 00:12:37 I'm hearing it as an unfolding story and I've gone four weeks now. But like, I guess if we want to keep it in the boundaries of seven days, this is a great seven days. Seven days in heaven. And they chilled on Sunday and they probably like. I just question what the next several are like. Well, this is where the parents came in and they wanted to be filled in on what was happening. And they got a knowing really quickly because in the first week they were gone all week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:59 She was being all respectable. She was staying out till 12, but now this guy's got her until 4, banging her Wednesday through Saturday, and the parents are like, can you fill me in? This happened pretty quickly. Yeah, who's this guy? Who's this guy? Why is this happening?
Starting point is 00:13:11 Can you just meet him on Monday? Yeah. And he took you for a drink on Tuesday. We were all happy for you because you thought you met a guy, and we haven't heard from you since. It's now Sunday. And the jacuzzi's on. He clearly likes the endless phone calls.
Starting point is 00:13:38 You can't get her off her mind. This is clearly, you know what this is? This is the epitome of, honeymoon stage right here. Honeymoon stage. Like the first week he met this girl and he just wants to see her every day. She's filled the same way. Great place to be.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Let's not even beat her out of the bush. Definitely great place to be. Could lead to great things. Now with the parents she has. Now with the parents she has. That's going to make it difficult. They're going to need to be filled in. Craig had a week.
Starting point is 00:14:23 It's worth telling his friends about. And can I just say this? Continuing on the notion that we've been on all week here on Craig David week, which I think is only going to be a one-time thing because I'm pretty pretty sure these are the only two Craig David songs I know. One time, Craig David. We've got to get all the Craig David's out of the way in a week. But he deserves the whole week because, like...
Starting point is 00:14:50 These two songs are epic. They're so epic. And again, going along with what we were talking about in Fill Me In, he's so smooth about how he goes about it. This whole song is literally him bragging to his friends about how he's been banging a girl all week. But he says it in like a smooth, classy, you know, story as old as time kind of way where he's courting this nice young lady. and they took it to the next level
Starting point is 00:15:11 and then they couldn't get enough of each other. Like, it doesn't, like, think about how many people you wouldn't trust telling you the same information we have. Like, bro, we've been banging every day. Like, there's so many people that could not be trusted to tell the story. Not articulate. No, and you just be like. No passion behind it.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Yeah, I hear you. And just like getting into details, you're like, you know what? I don't really, I'm good, I'm good. So real quick, if we can chronologic this real quick, so he meets his girl on Monday at a subway. Smoothly, meets her number by asking for the, she asked him for the time. He finds up with the cool line to come through with.
Starting point is 00:15:43 He says, yes, it'll cost you your name. And then they get off and ride. You were about to jump over the smooth way they initiated. I agree. And I'm glad you pulled me back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why you're my boy. Next.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Somehow he's, David is my boy. Sometime on Tuesday you go out for a drink. And it's only a drink. Yeah, but it was a bottle of moet. Okay. So it was like a... No.
Starting point is 00:15:58 I mean... He said a bottle of moot for two. I'm not going on the lyrics. Okay. So he took a bottle of moot for two. And then on Wednesday, I think this Wednesday is the beginning of Fill Me In's Chronicle of the parents starting to step in because they go Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. He takes it probably to a club on Friday, maybe even Saturday. They don't say that in the seven-day song,
Starting point is 00:16:18 but he takes her out. The parents see it all week. And then by about Sunday, that's when the parents are saying the fill me in part and are saying, why is the jacuzzi and stuff? You know what I'm saying? So I think that's the chronological here. I noticed there is a good amount of missing info on what happened on Wednesday. They go right to making love, but there's nothing, like they definitely, there's a big Tuesday to Wednesday after. There had to be on some sort of date. wonder was Wednesday the night that he showed up at her place where she was wearing like the black lacy gown that was it that's what i'm saying that's where that picked up that's with the jacuzzi it's actually really good that we did this in in uh craig david week order because otherwise we would be all over we'd
Starting point is 00:16:54 be lost we would know the chronicles and i didn't even realize these two songs were related but they are and then the parents by sunday are getting in them and that's why they chilled on sunday because on saturday the parents got in her for coming home at four you're not leaving you're not he was like all right we chilled on sleep and he was like all right we chilled on Monday. Yeah. That's exactly what happened. Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I mean, I love being a die-sec DJ because I get to find out from my hits of my life how exactly these songs are correlated and related, and I... And then we get to piece it together for all y'all. And now you can listen back to these songs
Starting point is 00:17:28 and know the story that were... They're unfolding for you. Now you know Craig. Craig is one of those guys who put this together for two reasons. He one wants to make someone that sounds beautiful, but he also wants you
Starting point is 00:17:38 kind of be able to piece it together going away. Like he wanted somebody to read these lyrics. Just that whole explanation as to how he gave her the time and everything, that would go over your head the first time you heard. It went over my head, the first several times I heard the song. And now I'm looking back on it. I'm like, dude, smooth back and forth, bro. You know what? Yeah. These aren't my slaps of the song. I'm going to go ahead and just break the the pod for a little applause break because my man Craig's all over the place. Which brings me to this question. What the fuck happened to Craig David? How come these are the only two songs you
Starting point is 00:18:09 really know about him. I feel like she had the tools to just keep this shit going. I'll tell you exactly what happened. When Sunday, when the parents finally approached him and they chilled, they killed him. And he wasn't even able to make a song about it. He died. That's like
Starting point is 00:18:26 seven days. Fill me in. They killed him. There's the end of Craig David. That's why you never heard from Craig David again. The parents that he was, the girl that he met at the subway, that was 24, and he bended her throughout the week. Sunday, they were over it. And he killed him, and that's why Craig David, you never heard from again.
Starting point is 00:18:44 This was a dark turn of Craig David. Craig David got murdered by the girl in both of the songs, fill me in, and seven days from their parents. Yeah, well. On that Sunday after he, they chilled. Just the lesson, as much as you might be super into the girl that you're into currently. You know, give her parents a once-over, be like, are they going to murder me on Sunday? If I make two fantastic hits, They're still going to kill me on Sunday after making this.
Starting point is 00:19:13 I don't know if it was so much about the fantastic kids as it was the banging through Wednesday through Saturday. Not coming home until 4. Leaving the jacuzzi on it was probably. The dad was probably pissed. I mean, that's high energy. You know how much that costs? Electric bills.
Starting point is 00:19:26 You're obviously not paying the bills for that. All right. Well, Craig David week. Thank you, Craig. Thanks for giving us two bangers in a seven-day stretch. And we're sorry you got murdered or whatever happened to you. But that is it for Craig David. I send DJs.
Starting point is 00:19:40 dissected every possible song we can of Craig David because we don't know another one. We don't know any. I'm ready for Craig David to make a 2020 comeback, though. 2020 comeback, Craig. Come back, Craig. I'm welcoming it.
Starting point is 00:19:50 We need, hey, music these days needs poetry and lyricism like this. Before we move on, we forgot. We almost forgot. What are you rating this thing? That was a hard four. Hard four? I extended harder on the four than a three. It's really honestly the same level with, fill me in.
Starting point is 00:20:10 But I gave that, you know what, five? So on this one, I'm going to kind of, you know what, four. It's a nice balance between the two Which I think is exactly what I'm going to give it And I think you'll agree It gives it a good So the same thing Snowflakes
Starting point is 00:20:27 Four claps And a bunch of snowflake of snaps That's right Because that's a good song And the two are connected I want to give it a little more But it just doesn't reach that five mark But the fact that we found out
Starting point is 00:20:39 Both of them are connected Makes me love this song even more And I just want to appreciate you Thank you Craig Rest in peace Craig David is definitely still alive. I'm pretty sure the parents killed him. The 24-year-old daughter's parents.
Starting point is 00:20:55 For transparency purposes, I'm literally going to just be able to the name Craig David. I heard this. This is a well-known fact. It's an urban legend. Okay, I'm looking at pictures. He looks like he's aged well. He's aged 38. He's still alive, yeah. Okay. You know what? I feel like he's one of those guys who's probably been killing it in Europe ever since.
Starting point is 00:21:14 but these were the only two songs they really like let come into America and they're like all right for this out we're going to let you come in we are at the mercy of what they play for us I blame myself for not going out of my way to listen to more Craig David over the years because I haven't you know he's probably I'll be honest I'll be honest I probably
Starting point is 00:21:30 won't and now that we've done this I probably will I'm going to tell myself that way I'm going to tell myself that that's cool Craig David thank you for your week I think it's time Cass you ready I think it's time to move on in the next week next
