Starting point is 00:02:03 Let's throw it back to the 90s, Jag. Let's do it! With a little group called Drama Rama from 1995. Wait, wait, hang on. Five, four? No. Holy shit, this is from 1985. Do you know that?
Starting point is 00:02:18 I fully thought it was a early 90s song. I always. I just consider this being a 90 song. So this is blowing me away. I should have looked this up before we started. But apparently it came out in November 1st, 1985. Holy shock.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Okay. Drama-Rama, anything, anything. Anything. Do you remember the song? I do. It is a very infamous or famous karaoke song, so I hear it damn near monthly.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Is it? Yes. Okay. But before we continue, any more we were doing. We are the DJs. I like to... Spree.
Starting point is 00:02:56 It makes it. It's... Rootback. Dissects. Don't forget it. This is DJ Castle. That's DJ Jag. And today we're doing something.
Starting point is 00:03:03 We want to talk about anything. Yeah. Really. And then we really, from that, what I just said, we can literally say anything. You do anything you want? But would you rather do this anything or that anything?
Starting point is 00:03:14 You'll see what we're talking about as the episode continues. Let it play out. Basic concept is, I'll give you anything, anything. Anything. God damn, that drums. I, dude, I fucking love the song, dude. Drum solo is fan fucking tasic.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I'll give you that. The song comes in hard. All right, if you could have anything, would you choose to have free groceries for life? Free groceries. Or free gas? Free gas. For your car.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Free groceries. Question with this immediately comes to my mind. Am I able to buy those groceries or the gas for others? Just for you. I'll say for groceries, Your household. So if like you have like multiple people in your household, they get to embrace the fact that you bring these groceries in. Can I?
Starting point is 00:04:09 But you can't just like then pass them out. Okay. Then I got to go with groceries. Why? Because I can go and just stockpile groceries. I can get a bunch of meats, get a bunch of food. And I'm only driving so far. Although gas, as I'm thinking about it, I can travel the entire United States.
Starting point is 00:04:27 And anywhere I can drive and not have to worry about it and just. roll. Still got to drive it, though. Yeah, I don't mind that. As long as I don't have to pay gas. Yeah, you don't care because you got to drive like two hours. With the economy we're at now, with gas prices at what, $5.50 in California. $5.50?
Starting point is 00:04:42 I wish, dude. I literally just filled up earlier. It was over $6. Yeah, $6.20 where you're at. By my house, it's $5.50, which is that right down the way. But in California, we're the only ones like that. I hope the rest of the United States is still at $4.4.20, 4. Either way, at those gas prices, the fluctuation, but vote is only the,
Starting point is 00:05:01 going to go up castle i got to be honest i'm in a conundrum here stuff on right i'm going with gas i'm going with gas i'm going you have gas for life i'm going with gas i'm going with gas i'm going able to drive never have to worry about drive it would be nice to not have to worry about however though the world's like fuckery hits like the gas prices and you're like that's cool that's everybody else's the problem wouldn't that just make me an evie driver then like i just need what is an evie driver you just don't have you just pay for you don't you pay significantly less to have an evi v car which then you don't pay for gas what is an evy car i'm sorry You're paying for electricity.
Starting point is 00:05:33 You're electric car. Oh, it's electric car. So you're only paying $5.10 for a full. Yeah, you're only paying $5.10 for a fill-up, which is not nearly. Yeah, but then you got to take it back. I'm going groceries. You got to charge those somewhere. Yeah, but they're cheap.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Cheap to charge. I'm going groceries. I change my mind because I want filet mignon. I want ribbyes. I'm saying a bunch of meat. I want bacon. I want chicken. I'm going.
Starting point is 00:05:56 All the expensive shit. Lobster. I'm going groceries. I change my mind. I change my mind. I change a heart. I'm going groceries for sure because, like, I love filling up my fridge with groceries. When I go grocery shopping because I hate going, like, I'll go hard.
Starting point is 00:06:09 I'll hit up, like, multiple locations in one go. As long as I'm out, let's just hit it all right now. There's no better moment that that moment when you get everything packed into the fridge and everything's put away and it's like, boom, mission accomplished. Oh, yeah. And there's a thing about me when I'm in the grocery store where I always start feeling like I'm like a millionaire, where I'm just like, you know what? Yeah, that looks, let's throw that in there too.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Throw that in there too. And then you don't really even think about the damage until like suddenly the bill comes at the end. It's like anybody that goes to dinner at like a fancy restaurant, you're like, yeah, throw that in there. Let's get that appetizer too. Throw it on the bill. And then you're like, well, the fuck is all this. Like, but if I could just go to like grocery stores and happily walk the aisles and just be like, oh my God, that sounds like one of the happiest memories I could ever have of just being like, you know what? Toss all that.
Starting point is 00:06:57 And you know what? I'm going to get two. I'm going to get four. So it's unlimited too. Right? Yeah. Oh, dude. I've got to be honest.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Yeah, I'm going there. I'm actually getting sad that this part of the game is not actually. Yeah, yeah. Fuck it. Let's try it. I'm like, what is? Throw it. And if I don't like it, it's throwing out.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Throw it in the bag. Groceries. Groceries for sure. I would actually argue that I would take this whole concept of getting groceries for life over anything else of like clothes or gas or I don't know, whatever. Anything, anything, anything. Does he say? I say because you married me, we should go over the lyrics a little bit
Starting point is 00:08:20 while we're at it. All right, go into it. But before we do, you have anything you want. A million dollars or ten takebacks. What is ten takebacks? You ever fuck up in your life?
Starting point is 00:08:31 Sure. Have you ever done something? You're like, ah, I shouldn't have done that. Take it back. Ten takebacks or a million dollars. I came up my millie, dog.
Starting point is 00:08:41 You haven't fucked up that much in your life. I mean, nothing like... It's not something you regret in your life. You know, what I regret. I regret not. My takeback is not getting into Bitcoin in 2010. Because had I done that,
Starting point is 00:08:54 now I'm making way more than a million. You see where you fucking up with the takebacks? You see where I set that up or I set you up? It was like, you're fucking up if you don't take back. I'm taking 10 takebacks forever. Wait, but you're using takebacks to be like,
Starting point is 00:09:08 oh, I could go back in time and be like, let me invest in Apple. That's a takeback. Yes. That's not a take back because it was never considered in me to like go invest in like something i saw it in 20 i was like you guys are a bunch of idiots and then you do it because i don't know i wish i had a take back all right give me i feel like a take back is like kind i wish i didn't
Starting point is 00:09:27 say that thing to that person that one time that's that take back too that's a take back wish i didn't like end that friendship i wish i didn't quit that job whatever like there's a lot of ways you're like do takebacks you exactly i feel like you're bending the rules to be there's no bending it's take back no to be like oh i'd be like oh i'd have gone back i would have like done something that wasn't even on my radar. I don't know how that counts. Takebacks. All right.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Well, that's not a take back. That's a go back. I'm telling you, it's my fucking dismay. Yours says, it should say 10 things you could go back in time and do. No,
Starting point is 00:09:59 that's what a take back. That's not a take back. Get out of here, man. Take back. Give me 10 takebacks. He's taking a million dollars. I'm a billionaire. Yeah, give me my millie, dude.
Starting point is 00:10:06 I'm a billionaire at the end of this. I don't need to fucking go and re-litigate every part of life and do that bullshit. Just give me a millie. I'll figure it out from here. I will fly high, That one. What's the lyrics say? All right. Let's get into the lyrics a little bit because I didn't realize I've always, even though it's one of those songs where you sung a lot, I didn't realize that he said because you married me. And I always thought in my mind, this was. This was a guy who was like trying to get with a girl. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And he was like, how do I do that? But all right. So let's go. Okay, what is it tonight? Tonight. So that's like, all right, what the fuck is the problem this time? Say it again. Okay, what is it tonight? Yeah At least just tell me what the hell is wrong Do you want to eat? Do you want to sleep? Do you want to drown? You're supposed to join me on that one.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Settle down! So this is a guy who's over. You take it off now. Oh, yeah. So this is a guy who feels like he's over his partner right now. Yeah, there is. He's a naggy have for a wife. Okay?
Starting point is 00:11:10 He's like, all right, at least tell me what the hell is wrong. clearly like he just walked in the door and he's like I felt like we sang it but didn't have the drums behind it you know okay you wanted you just wanted to give me drum backing yeah yeah you just want me to talk about it yeah as you're talking this just gives me some agro rage to discuss it you're giving me like reverb and everything all right all right this is a guy who's dealing with a significant other he's had his shit with
Starting point is 00:11:42 he's like what the hell is wrong this time I see it in your eye when I walk in the door Please just tell me what the hell is wrong Exactly And he's like I'll give you candy I give you diamonds I'll give you pills Anything you want
Starting point is 00:12:04 He says I'll even let you watch the shows you want to see He's willing to give you the remote And this is in 1985 When it wasn't like it was It wasn't a big deal You could just like watch whatever programming you want it because like, yeah, she wants to watch TV. I'll watch my show at 10 because she'll be asleep. You had the one time to watch your show.
Starting point is 00:12:29 But she wants to watch Oprah. Hey, married with children's on. I really want to watch that, but she needs to watch her Oprah right now. And I'm going to give you, I bequeath you my remote because I married you, married you, married you. And I'm going to give you all that power along with all the diamonds. and the pills and anything you want, $100 bills. He's literally just throwing case at her at this point.
Starting point is 00:12:56 And you know what? Nothing's ever enough. How long do you think these people have been married? At least, you know, this could start early. It's kind of three to 15 years. There's a thing for sure where like, and this goes both ways. So it's not just on like brides and wives out there. But like there could definitely be a thing where like somebody,
Starting point is 00:13:55 once they feel like they got the rock, they're like, oh, I'm comfy now, I'm in, this is my show now. Yep. You're going to do exactly as I see fit and live the life that I want because, like, unless I'm exactly 110% happy at this very moment, you're going to roll over. You're rolling. So, I mean, that feels like where this guy's at. This guy's at the end of his rope, and this could be like six months. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Could be. But he's begging. He's on his hands, and he's just like, tell me what I need to do. Give you anything. Anything, anything. You can't have anything you want, Castle. Yeah. Would you never want to see a doctor again or never want to see a dentist?
Starting point is 00:14:40 Who? I'll say dentist because going to a dentist is clearly because, like, oh, there's like a thing I got going wrong with my team. No, you're supposed to see them every six months. I don't know if you knew this, but. Sure. But you're supposed to see a doctor every six months. But I feel like. No, you're not.
Starting point is 00:14:55 No, you're not. Not until you're 40. Oh, shit. Well, I feel like I have more questions that might come up that I'd want to like casually ask my doctor than my dentist. And if I'm being able to avoid either of them based on like, oh, I have this pain here. You'll have, you know, possibly one of the worst diseases, but your teeth are fantastic. I just might want to ask my doctor some stuff. I know.
Starting point is 00:15:21 I might want to have a conversation like, hey, what's going on with this polio virus that's having a kickback not happening yet? check back in in 2020. I don't know. Yeah, you have, you have something coming out of your anus, but your teeth are white.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Hell yeah, they are. I'm picking, you know what? I'll deal with fucked up teeth. I don't want to see a doctor again. If I don't have to see a doctor the rest of my life
Starting point is 00:15:44 and I'm healthy in my, I'll deal with my teeth. I'll figure out my, I'll go see a dentist. I'll go see a dentist. They'll hook it up. They'll do what they need to do. I'm going,
Starting point is 00:15:53 don't see a doctor. The rest of my life, for sure. Can I give you the real, though? my dad's a doctor and thus kind of my doctor so if I said I don't have to see a doctor I don't ever get to see my dad so I'd rather
Starting point is 00:16:05 Oh you took it to a whole different You made a right turn I see what you did there I'll give you anything Doug I'll give you anything All right give me one You could have anything Anything Would you rather have
Starting point is 00:16:33 Total relaxation for the rest of your being Oh shit or total domination in your field, but you never know it's coming until you end up realizing it. Okay, wait, one more time. Total relaxation or? You end up with total domination in your field, but you don't know it's coming,
Starting point is 00:16:54 so you have to stress along the whole way. You have to, like, work that ladder, and you're like, you're struggling, but then you're going to be like, at the end of it, you're like, okay, I fucking made it. Man, that's such a deep conundrum. The other one. That's basically lazy man versus the handling businessman, but the handling businessman.
Starting point is 00:17:13 It's guaranteed that I'll make it with the second one, right? Yeah, but you don't know that. You just said, at some point, I will. But you don't know that you will. But you don't know when it could come. It could come when you're 100. But it will come. Yeah, I guess it will.
Starting point is 00:17:25 I got to go with that one. Okay. I got to strive and hustle. And hopefully it comes earlier. Yeah. But to just sit back, relax, and to be like, in my relaxation, am I still hoping, like in the back of my mind, like, I should have be doing that, but I'm relaxed. I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:17:42 I just feel like this with what you're saying is it more of a content, relaxed, kind of lazy man who kind of has some goals that they would like to achieve but aren't going to put in the hard work and effort to get to those. So therefore, they're okay with where they are, but they would like to be somewhere else. That's why I'm taking with this. But it is legit contentment. It's not just like, you know what I don't know. Like you're actually legit. You get him really relaxed. It could be homeless and just be like, I'm happy.
Starting point is 00:18:09 And you're happy with it. Yeah. You're just like, I love this life. That's not that my brain. I would like to think that I'd be relaxed and content. I would like to, I would like to be that way. But with the brain where I go, it's the opposite. I have to hustle and then hopefully make and will, according to you, make it one day.
Starting point is 00:18:25 I just hope it comes earlier than later. So yeah, I'm going with that one. I'm going to agree. Crazy, right? It feels like almost like you want to answer the first one. I got a good. combination of the both in life where I like to keep myself at a constant relaxed state and I'm pretty good at it but also at the same time it's like you need that stress that you feel in life
Starting point is 00:18:48 that just feels like yeah you can do more there's more it can accomplish there's more out there to achieve there's more ground to cover and uh if I don't like seek out on a mission to like see what ground I can cover with it how am I ever going to know how will I ever cover that ground I'm with you can have anything you want to do you can have anything you want to do that you want to Castle, you could have, never have to get a haircut again because your hair is perfect. Wait, you didn't do it with a whistle? I had the whistles for the next one. I'll save it.
Starting point is 00:19:17 I have one more that I'm ready. I has a whistle purposely. I actually wrote whistle in it. So you're messing up. Never have a haircut again because your hair is perfect. Or never have to shave again. Well, I can shave myself, but I can't really cut my own hair. so I would take that one.
Starting point is 00:19:37 But like then, can I switch it up? Or do I have to just stuck? You're stuck, dude. Your haircuts stuck with the way you like it, and then but you have to shave. Or you never have to shave and every once in a way to get a haircut, but you're done shaving.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Your face is. I probably, I mean. I feel like your brain is going. Yes? Wait a minute. But wait a minute. Wait, let me just. You know what?
Starting point is 00:19:58 Well, I'm in a forge the situation where my boy Austin cuts me up nicely. He always gives me like really don't haircuts. You guys saw Austin about three episodes ago. He's featured on the Uncut Gems episode. Also an excellent barber. If you're in the South Bay, hit him up. So he really takes care of me in that front.
Starting point is 00:20:14 But I do need to actually take care of my own, like, shaving for the most part. But that's much easier to take care of. So, like, I would just, I would rather just have the hair be, like, settled than I just never have to work. You just shave every once in a while? Yeah, yeah. Because if Austin was gone, I'd be screwed. You know what I mean? And I wouldn't need them for anything.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Anything. Anything. I'm older and I don't play. I found out. Can you go over those last lyrics real quick, man? Because he's talking about her. Dad came in the picture? The dad got brought in ball.
Starting point is 00:21:36 The dad got joined in. Oh, man, you never want to bring family into a relationship. I've done it, and it's always a bad deal because now it's a whole different, a bunch of cards that you're having to deal with thrown into it and have to answer to. What happened? I also love that he throws, I'll give you pills in there. Like, this is a guy who knows his partner. He's like
Starting point is 00:21:55 She likes him He likes him He wants He knows that she wants Like I'll even let you watch the shows You want to see Okay like fuck And you want to do drugs
Starting point is 00:22:04 I got you This is a guy at the end of the rope That is like I will let you Whatever you need to make this work God damn it You don't want to get divorced right now Do you not want to have to like
Starting point is 00:22:14 Split this whole thing up And figure out a whole But yeah let's see if the second Lions give it up I was young I learned a game that love and happiness were the same. Now I'm older and I don't play.
Starting point is 00:22:33 I found out the hardest way. I got wasted. She got mad, called me names, and she called her dad. He got crazy and I did too. Wonder what I did to you. I mean, that's... That shit got toxic real quick, dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:58 This song actually, as you were dissecting, it's a lot more toxic than it was. Like you said earlier, I fully thought it was about a guy trying to get with a girl. And he was like, I'll give you anything. Whatever you want, I'm down. Like, I'll marry me. Please marry me. No, they already married. And they're going through the dromorama.
Starting point is 00:23:16 That's exactly what it is. Drama-rama of their relationship through this. They're getting their parents involved. And he's just like, yo, I'm tired of this. What do you want? I'll give it to you. whatever you want whatever you want
Starting point is 00:23:30 I will give you anything everything just leave me the fuck alone I feel like he's what he's saying am I kind of getting that he never says that in the song but I should be noted we're getting this from one party so we're getting this from his perspective so he's like I can't give you anything enough
Starting point is 00:23:46 you're always going to be like I need more I need this I'm just take take take take good call on the one party side because yeah because then he said I got wasted, she got mad, which is like, based on, so you were drinking, mother. So based on, like, everything else you're hearing in the story, you're like, yeah, dude, she's driving you crazy.
Starting point is 00:24:05 You're like, all right, fucking give me the bottle. Yeah, it gets old. And he's like, I can't take it anymore. I didn't need a night where I don't know, my headphones fell off. You're closer to the mic, though. What? You're closer to the mic, there you go. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:19 So then she got mad and she called her dad. What age are these people, by the way? That's a next question. That's a very teens, early 20s. Yeah, that's some teenage shit. If you're doing that shit in your 30s, 40s, you're fucking up. I'll call your dad. And then, of course, he comes in and he's just like,
Starting point is 00:24:35 he got mad. You're fucking my little girl? Huh? You're getting wasted? She deserves everything. And he's like, that's what I've been saying, bro. I said anything. Anything.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Anything. And he said he got crazy and I did too. Dude, did they get in a scrap? I think the dad and him got in a fight. They got to fight. I wonder what we're reading here. BetMGM is an official sports betting partner of the National Hockey League and has everything for the action on and off the ice.

BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. You can have anything. You can have anything. Castle, you can gain an inch of height. Okay. But you lose an inch on your...
Starting point is 00:26:16 Or the opposite. Can I just say... No, you can't be like, I like what I am. You have to pick one. You're gaining an inch, and I know it's anything, because theoretically you'd be like, I don't want anything, so therefore I won't have. Say it again.
Starting point is 00:26:31 You get an inch taller, but you lose an inch or your. That's what I wanted to hear. Or the opposite. You lose an inch, but you gain an inch on your. I feel like I'm 6-2, so I feel like 6-1 is, like, roughly in that same region. but maybe six three is a whole other world I don't even know about and you got enough to uh
Starting point is 00:26:58 yeah to lose an inch I don't want to lose an inch on that though because I feel like an inch could will like show up more there and maybe it shows up a lot more there with a little extra yeah I don't want to fuck with either one of them but be honest
Starting point is 00:27:14 I like what I am I'm pretty content in both regions I like who I am I like what I am but like I do feel like I just feel like the difference in inch is much more noticeable in the, both from their perspective and mine, and I'll be like, hey. So a little shorter with a little longer, man. I can tell you this, I don't want to be a longer, man. I don't want to be a longer.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Give me another inch. Lose an inch on it. I'm still exactly where I need to be. I'm liking life. So I'm going there. You're always talking about how you can use like another inch in height, though. I need another inch. If I lost an inch down there, I'd still, you know, I don't want to say I'd be like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:27:55 but I'm okay with that inch down there. I'd figure that out. Give me another inch in sports, in height, in life. I'm okay. I want an extra inch in tallness, and you can take an inch if you need to. I like. I like it. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Any other, anything? Because we're pretty much reached the end of our song and drama with the dad got involved and everything. Dad got involved in the song just kind of petered out. Like, I feel like she was about. to get chaotic. Did the music video give us anything? I haven't looked at the music video yet. We have not working it.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Should we try it again? 85. It's just kind of grungy. But I will say you could have anything in life. Yes. If you could have anything, anything, anything, anything. Would you want the experience of being a professional baseball player and hitting a game winning home run?
Starting point is 00:28:41 Wow. Or a professional football player catching a game winning touchdown pass with the toes on the sidelines back in the end zone and everything. Straight up, San Antonio, home. Oh, I like the reference. Yeah. Okay. Or being a basketball game, like an NBA finals game, and you go, hit me with a whistle
Starting point is 00:28:59 right now. Game winning three. Yeah. And you're just like your game was the dagger and it's like boom. This is all like the championship. Yeah, yeah. Let's all say like championship. Or Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Which one of those experiences do you want to? There you go. I got to be honest. Just because of the difficulty and it's apparently the hardest sport and just the, the, the, absolute epicness. All three of them, you kind of reach epicness and to be honest with that.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Just being in the dance. Doing that, it's going to be the day. Yeah, let me smack that game winner, man. I'm not even a baseball player. I'm more of a football and basketball thing. I know,
Starting point is 00:29:34 but let me smack. The pitcher throws it at me, and I, step up, and he is okay. You get to run around the bases, too. Joey Batista.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Yeah, yeah. And then football, game, everybody kind of hits you. With baseball, you still get to do the run around. Like, you get that little extra 20 seconds of like. To me, it comes down to the getting to run the bases, but also the then the stampede at home plate. Stampede. It's basically with the other two.
Starting point is 00:30:12 The other ones will get like the other two. Immediate stampede. It's immediate stampede. They'll be like, let's go. But like the waiting for you to come to home plate, they're all like, oh, let's go, let's go. I might even walk from second to third. Just walk.
Starting point is 00:30:27 I might even walk. Point. And you just point. You just milk every second of it. Yeah. Because you can talk to. Yeah. I'm going baseball.
Starting point is 00:30:34 I'm going baseball. I think baseball too because it's the hardest one to accomplish as like a feet. And it's a game seven. Yeah. Yeah. And like I love the idea of making that trip from third to home. I think that'd be the best part. However, I will point out that you do it in football.
Starting point is 00:30:49 You get that like five seconds for like an end zone dance. Like you get that. No, you don't. They're tackling you at that point. Ten of the Holmes caught that ball, and it was like everybody was tackling. Yeah, but then you stand up. The stampede happens immediately. But then you stand up with the football and you look at the rep and the ref's like,
Starting point is 00:31:02 yeah, I hear you. And then you're like, oh. And it gives you, the NFL gives you five seconds to be like, do what you want to do. They relax the rules a few years ago. And you're just like, oh, you got. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, just. I'd be like a guy. Like a, like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:19 And then you're extended. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like. I'm walking from second to third for sure. I'm walking. I'm doing some shit that nobody's ever done. I might even sit on third for a second. Sit down.
Starting point is 00:31:32 What about just taking a nap? Lay down a third real quick. Is there any time constraints with me getting a home break? Because it's going to be a while. Yeah, I think I'm going. That's a good one, man. I like that one. Because I'm going to give them anything, anything, anything.
Starting point is 00:32:01 I got to be honest. I had one. more, but it's not that good. The years was, that was a good one. That got me hype. The baseball, sports epic ending. I got to go with the baseball. That was a good one.
Starting point is 00:32:11 You got any more? Like, if you got one more or two, let's just hit yours out, because mine, my last one sucked. You could have anything. Yes, what else? Would you rather have the ability to control your exact level of buzz
Starting point is 00:32:24 or the ability to snap in and out of your buzz at any time and get right into sobriety? That's right. So you could be like, for example, oh, I'm drunk at the bar and like I've wasted, but now I've got to drive home. Well, they got to take the second one then. Boom. You got to take the second. But you can snap back in it, but I'm drunk again.
Starting point is 00:32:45 And then you drive home and you're like, all right. The second one just seems like a hyper version of the first one, to be honest with you. See, I take the first one because I love the idea that I could get the exact. We talked about this once before. The perfect word. Where it's like the exact level like, boom, oh, right now. I'm like three drinks in and a shot deep. And this is like right when I'm like, oh, I'm social.
Starting point is 00:33:06 I feel like good. I feel like dancing. But I'm also like not drunk. Yeah, but you can snap into that whenever you want with the second word. Because you don't know exactly how to get to that point with the other one. You could be like, oh, I'm fucking hammer now. I got way too drunk. You can snap out though.
Starting point is 00:33:17 You could be like, I'm sober. But then you're getting sober before any drink. So now you're like back to square one. So I kind of like it when I can control the exact level and I can just like be there. Like I want to be two beers deep. one shot and a bongedog deep and that's where I'm like do the whistle you remind me in college boom that's exactly where I would have and then you just like
Starting point is 00:33:40 stay there right now all night you know what I mean I'll do the second one and like whatever else I do I'm just like no I want to be the second one you just want to be able to snap yeah snap out because you know what my worst times of my life when I've been drunk and then like even if I'm in a good buzz and now I have to wait it's time to be sober whether I'm talking to a cop or an argument with my lady or like there's something i need to be like nope and i'm sober now there is that
Starting point is 00:34:04 terrible moment i i hate what i've experienced or earthquake or tsunami happens you like you start you start talking to like a girl and you just hear yourself you're like you're like you sound drunk and stupid right now like you just like have this like inner monologue that's just like right you sound like you sound like an idiot you sound drunk and you're like no it's cool i know what i'm doing and then you talk more and you can hear yourself and you're like no dude you're fucking stupid and i will have the ability to snap right out of that. So I'm going with the second. I'm going,
Starting point is 00:34:32 but you said you're going to control that so you'll know when it is. So yeah, I, it's funny because I want to be able to snap out whenever I need to. I like, I, I, they're both like different forms of manipulation of like the,
Starting point is 00:34:42 the getting buzz process. And I like the prospect more of just being in the exact area where I want to be and just like stick it there. But you don't even need to like, do what need to be done to get there. You just are there with a snap of a, but you can't get out of it. Well,
Starting point is 00:34:57 is the normal sober. process you would yes you know i'm going second i want to be able to pop out whenever i need to if there's anything i need to do i want to be able to at any point get out of it you do do anything hold up did you just say i'll even let you hear the songs i want to sing did he yeah he said that let's see record scratch i feel like we just hit a breakthrough where as i said we're hearing the story from this fellow's perspective she's so tired of his music dude she's she's tired of this fucking guy who's like I'm a rock star I'm a I'm a song I'll even let you sing the songs I want to sing are you shitting me hear the songs I want to sing you hear the songs I want to sing
Starting point is 00:36:22 you did in your mind is that some sort of treasure like dude look at what more can I give you're welcome I'm letting you hear the songs that I want to sing what else can I give you are you you shitting me that's the one that you land on that was like your final piece of the puzzle Of what you want The end of the song too So yes That's the last one That's the last one
Starting point is 00:36:44 That's the hammer That he drops at the end He's like dude I got nothing out The last idea I have Is I can let you Hear the songs that I want to sing So if you don't want to do that
Starting point is 00:36:53 I literally got in a fight With your dad In the last verse I beat your dad's ass Yeah Things got crazy He got crazy And I did too
Starting point is 00:37:00 He was wondering What I did to you And you know what I did I let you hear The songs that I want to sing You're welcome You're welcome What more
Starting point is 00:37:09 Can you? I give you. But I will say this. You can have anything. You can be a band that has one hit that gets remembered for all time worldwide. Yes. Or you could be the lovable all-time local favorite in your local market in your one town. Fuck that.
Starting point is 00:37:32 Give me the first one all fucking day. For years. And they will, they'll like the statue for you. Give me the first one forever. Give me the first one forever, dude. That sounds fantastic. Everybody knows. But that's the one song that anybody ever want to hear from me.
Starting point is 00:37:44 I mean, your hometown's kind of cool. I guess I could see why, like, you're in your hotel. Like, I'm going to go play a band. Everybody's going to show up like, yeah, we love Jagging the band. Like, I guess that's kind of cool. But, no, man, that one. They fucking. Jagging the band.
Starting point is 00:37:57 There's like 30 of my regulars and stuff. Yeah, yeah. You have a job forever with that one. Yeah. The consistency of that is actually. Give me the one time, go across the country for a year. You want the Mamo number number five? Give me the glue bag.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Yeah, give me the group is in their heart, like one time. The Gautier. Yeah. Somebody that I used to know. Yeah, you want that guy. I want the one time everybody knows me. And I got here at karaoke bars randomly all the time. I'm like, I had a five-year run there.
Starting point is 00:38:28 That was awesome. And then I figure out some other shit that I want to do. Yeah, yeah. I don't want to keep being the same band. I don't know. I can see why the second one is appealing. Yeah. But I'm going with the one-hit wonder.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Because when it comes down to it, are the people that matter most, not the people that are actually, like, around you physically in life. And, like, they all uphold you as, like, this hero type figure where, like, you're a legend. Everybody you see regularly actually. But am I? Nobody else knows you a legend. Nobody else in the world knows me.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Does it matter? But I am a legend if I hit the one hit that everybody knows. Does it matter what the people of Prague think of you or Rhode Island? No, Prague knows me. And they all know me? Yeah, I'm going with that one. Yeah, but they know you as that one song and they may be clown on you for it now. because they're like, oh, whatever happened to that guy.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Whatever happened to that guy. What did you do? That's what you. That's a simple way. It's a simple comeback at all times. Yeah, but then anytime you're on stage, you're all going to be like, play that one song.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Fuck your new album. First of all, I'm done with stage after five years. I'm like, I'm down with that and I'll never come back. That was my thing. And I enjoy it in movies. Which one do you think has more consistency
Starting point is 00:39:30 in making money, like, oh, the second one. You'll make a big bang in the first one. Yeah, yeah. Initially, and then it'll fade.
Starting point is 00:39:36 But with royalties. Royalties. You could like, Big money. Again, even one hit wonders fade, right? Like, it fades over time. You always have a gig for the rest of your life. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:39:47 I kind of want that. But what if I don't want to do this fucking forever, dude? I just want to do a five year. As long as you want to. Yeah, I'm over that. Give me five. Have you ever had, like, a local band in any of your towns that you grew up in where, like, everybody, like, knew of like, oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:58 Yeah, Roman Alexander in Fullerton. Okay. Yeah. I love them, dude. I actually loved him. Shout out to Roman. Still see him on Facebook. He's a, he's a martial arts instructor.
Starting point is 00:40:09 now and he kills it. But I got to say that Running Away song is still in my playlist. Epic fucking song, it's still a song that I use as one of my wake-up songs regularly. So I hear Roman Alexander all the time. I said we clip this and put him in M. M.
Starting point is 00:40:21 M. M.A. who love this. Roman Alexander, Fullerton. You guys had the band. And it was a revolution. That's what it was. The revolution.
Starting point is 00:40:28 The revolution. Shout out to them. Run away. Look it up on iTunes. It's still there. Great song. Oh my goodness. It's a great song.
Starting point is 00:40:35 So yeah. There's stuff like that. Way, good. Yeah. Yeah, dude, I haven't heard that in a while. It's literally one of the songs that uses my alarm clock regularly, so I hear it all the time still. There was a band in Agora when I was in high school that was like the everybody always,
Starting point is 00:40:49 I can't remember their name now. They always talked about them. And I remember hearing people talking about like, yeah, I mean, you know, it's just they are, you get so used to hearing their same songs. And this is original music. Like, I literally were hearing classmates talk about how they were like getting tired of hearing the same songs getting performed by this band that was a local band. that like made all these songs.
Starting point is 00:41:10 This is kind of a cool place to get to. But have you ever heard of the band name Whoisdank? Yeah. I'm not a perfect person. That's the one. So they were actually from Agora 2 and they were like the slight like generation, like couple classes before me. They were the local band that everybody knew.
Starting point is 00:41:32 And so I heard rumblings of like how they had then broken through, which then of course is the kind of thing where it's like, You see that the band that came a couple years previous was able to make it to like MTV and all that shit. And you're like, well, maybe that could be us. But the truth is, usually you end up in segment two. But I'd say appreciate the fact that your hometown loves you. And they know your music. They know your music as long as you're there.
Starting point is 00:41:57 They are ready to give you anything. Slaps and snaps, these. Let's do it. What do you got? Slap it out, snap it out. Drama Brahma. I gotta say, I fucking love this song.
Starting point is 00:42:32 It reminds me of MTV in my early youth. And this kind of like song. Look at this music video. It's all like grungy and black and white with just like random shit being thrown in. You can hear it. And you're always just like ready
Starting point is 00:42:46 to like jump into like a mosh pit. And like, you know, I feel like this is the kind of song that you'll want to hear like once every six months forever and you're going to be satisfied. So with that in mind,
Starting point is 00:42:57 I'm going to give it up. Yeah. You gave it a five. You gave it a five. Dude, Castle never gives fives. What does that happen? You know what?
Starting point is 00:43:11 I did it because I'm like, I'm tired of not giving five. Yeah, you're, I come up short with a four all the time, but like, I don't ever not like hearing this song. And that's,
Starting point is 00:43:20 to me, I always say, that's what it is with a five. Is the song, if it plays, am I going to be like, fuck yeah, let's hear it right now.
Starting point is 00:43:27 I don't ever remember hearing this song and being like, hey, wait, can you skip it actually? That's the true definition I'm a five slapper for me. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:43:36 This guy is willing to give him anything. I'm going to give anything right back. Including my five slaps. Jag. Let me rear it. Before I give mine, are you, were you surprised that the song was not about a guy trying to get at a girl? And it was actually a guy already in a relationship? I think I thought that because he says, I'll give you diamonds.
Starting point is 00:43:56 I'll give you pills. Anything you want, $100 bills. And that always made me think it was just a guy just being desperate to get a girl's attention. because that's the kind of shit that you often hear from being like, oh, what do you want, girl? What do you want, baby? Can I get you diamonds? Can I get you get you $100 bills?
Starting point is 00:44:11 I'll give it to you. Just let me hit. Almost like you just let me hit, girl. So you were simping. I thought he was a guy simping, but it's not. It's a guy who's just sick of his wife's shit and he's just desperate to make it work to where she's even having a wrestling match with her dad in the family living room. And he got wasted.
Starting point is 00:44:28 So, you know, maybe he's held accountable in his own right. I don't know. But I will say if you had anything, if you had anything, would you rather have a lifetime supply of tires or herobo gummy bears? Tires. They're efficient, right?
Starting point is 00:44:49 Yeah, tires. Have you ever had to change tires? It sucks, dude. They're so expensive. Slaps and snaps for me. I'm getting it. It's so good. He made,
Starting point is 00:45:09 I wish it was it, and then I realized how much you did it, and you made it a five, and I'm a lot easier to make five, five, snappers and sloppers it's a great song guys it gets you going slabs dude
Starting point is 00:45:19 I'll get you anything why fight it you all know it we all know the $100 bills part try listening to the song and not like just banging your head and like having the whole room like do it like you know what I mean yeah and I remember this being a favorite song
Starting point is 00:45:34 of our boy Jayway and his band the wrist band speaking of local favorite groups that's what I was going to bring up to yes Jayway shout out to the wrist bands our boy Jayway Mike Moore all these guys that we went to college with they had a band called
Starting point is 00:45:46 the wristbands where they do cover music this was my favorite song that they would perform Bobby Koch on the drums told me he listens shout out Bobby it's a great cover band song
Starting point is 00:45:55 you said you like hearing in a karaoke right so if they're able to do it this song gets you hyped yeah yeah and you gotta perform it well but you know what
Starting point is 00:46:03 you need a little reverb a little just hype a little bit of just like ready to do anything anything anything anything
