Starting point is 00:00:05 Dicex No, yo, it's the Dicek. Diggas. We got out before Justin could hit that high note, because you know that it was coming. If we got to that point in the song, Justin's definitely going to jump in and do that. But he will. He still will.
Starting point is 00:01:19 We'll get that. That's what we do. It is the DJs. I like to spit it. Mix it. Throw it back and dissect it. Diceg DJ. What's going on, DJ Jag.
Starting point is 00:01:32 DJ Castizi? And we're going to do something crazy. Today we're going to get into actually two different songs that have a very similar beat. The first one being human nature. It's not even really like similar beat. It's literally like they took this song and then we mixed it. And that is one of our favorite groups from the 90s. S-S-S-Double, U-S-Dubble, U-V-V-V-V-S-S-Double.
Starting point is 00:01:54 You, the V-E? I can't sell who week. Anyway, yes, we're going to go over these two songs. We're going to combine the two. So it's going to be human nature versus right there. Let's go. And so far, I've got to. To be honest, Michael?
Starting point is 00:02:09 And it's really like, yeah, they just use that sound bite. And I even remember in the music video, I just watched it recently. Like, they go to Michael every single time that little part comes up. So they were very aware that, like, yeah, this is a tribute. It's catchy. It's catchy, right? We hear it. You're talking about human nature.
Starting point is 00:02:29 That's human nature, bro. Now, through dissecting this song, I wanted to try to understand Michael's version of what human nature is or what human nature. or what human nature could possibly be. And I'm hoping that I get a understanding of that. However, it seems like so far, from the first couple of verses, Michael is going into his normal poetic read between the lines of what I'm trying to say. Michael throws some poetry sometimes. Yeah, he gets into it.
Starting point is 00:02:55 You know, I'm not a poetry. I think we talked about this. You like being straightforward. Just fucking tell me what you want, bro. Throw it at me. I don't need to. Well, a song called human nature, like, is going to be a little poetic. I got to feel like.
Starting point is 00:03:05 I mean, I guess, dude, but. Let's figure it out. Our work is cut out for us. It could have been, honestly, if you wanted to talk about human energy, you could be like, you got to eat, you got to shit,
Starting point is 00:03:16 you got to fuck so you have some kids. If you don't, you're going to die. And therefore we go live alive. And then, you know, that's actual human nature because that's all, that's the basics of life right there.
Starting point is 00:03:32 You got to eat, you got a shit, and you got to have some kids. You're going to die if you don't have kids? No. but the human race will. Other people have kids. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:03:41 If you think about yourself as an isolation, and let's say Adam and Eve, let's say Adam and Eve, like, didn't have kids. Would we be alive? Yeah, because Adam and Eve is bullshit. Are we going there? We discussed this in another episode. Yeah, because Adam Eve had had kids,
Starting point is 00:03:59 and then their kids had to have kids, and that means their kids were having kids with themselves. It doesn't make sense. Where did Adam and Eve come from? And two people died up. The brothers kill themselves And then what they're... Yeah, I don't know that part of it.
Starting point is 00:04:09 It's a whole. Episode two of the three things we got to talk about podcasts. If you want to hear further thoughts on me and just, you know, and talking about Adam and Eve. Yeah. Adam and Eve, we're not fans, clearly. Well, it's just like, it's a bullshit story.
Starting point is 00:04:21 That's not a thing that happened. It's not where we all... It was like, eat the apple. All right, I'm down. Fuck it. I mean, I was told not to... A snake talked to him, really? That's where...
Starting point is 00:04:32 Serpent. That's what we're all, like, hinging our, like, hopes on, like, where the human race began. Okay. Anyways, continue. Yeah, so the game plan is we want to figure out what exactly Michael Jackson is speaking in this, like, very poetic song. Yeah, so here we go. It as human nature.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Looking out across the nighttime, the city winks a sleepless eye. I love it. Yeah, her voice, shake my window, sweet seducing signs. Size. Size, that's what I said. I just said it wrong. Yeah, but like, I actually. he never knew he says that right there and I love it actually sweet seducing
Starting point is 00:05:10 sighs because a sigh is like all like alliteration when you're bored I love alliteration you know this uh it's like when you're bored so that's what he's hearing he's also genderized the city as a her so there's that man I you know I'm trying to read this over as we're sitting here and I I am not a poetic person I don't know what he's getting after that I just don't I don't know what the fuck he's talking about it's looking out across the night it's nighttime he's in the city the seat the seat the City wings a sleepless eye. I love the city wings a sleepless eye.
Starting point is 00:05:40 What the fuck is he talking about? I don't know, but it's a great line. That's a great fucking line. I just love it. I love it. I'm guessing that, my guess on that is that the city, like, you're trying to sleep, but it's like, you can party if you want to. Yeah, I know. I mean, it's like, I got to think one of the, the city is sighing at you.
Starting point is 00:05:57 A sweet seducing sigh. It's like, ah. You want to come party or you want to just be asleep? Kind of bored right now. You want to get out? You want to get out? Come on out to the city. And that's where he takes it because then he's,
Starting point is 00:06:06 says, get me out into the nighttime. Four walls won't hold me tonight. Great. That is great poetry. I like that one. I'll be honest with, no, I don't like poetry, but that line is good. That's great. For walls won't hold me tonight.
Starting point is 00:06:22 And then he follows it up with, if this town is just an apple, then let me take a bite. Like Adam and Eve took the bite of the fucking apple. Right. He's like, I'm not. Holding anything back. All right. No risk here. Like,
Starting point is 00:06:38 let's... Town is an apple. I'm eating that shit. Which, of course, means, like... He's got to be talking about New York then, right? Big Apple.
Starting point is 00:06:46 I thought you were talking about... He was talking about a girl earlier. No? Why don't know? I'm not sure. No, he's talking about it. He's basically super poetically saying, like, I'm going out tonight.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I'm going to get out and rage. I'm raging tonight. And he's talking about New York City because he's talking about this town is an apple. They call New York the Big Apple. He's going to take a bite. If this town is an apple. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:05 All right. So we're in New York, about to party. Bye. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And if they say why. Why? Why? Tell them that it's human nature.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Wait, what a random response to tell somebody? At the same time, if they told you that, you'd be like, oh, shit. This guy's got shit figured out, man. I guess it is. Oh, shit, this brother's deep. Our human nature is to party. We're supposed to party. That's deep in us.
Starting point is 00:07:29 That's actually a great answer. If you were out and some, like, random-ass girl was like, what are you doing out here? tonight and you're just like it's human nature baby why why does he do it that way tell him that it's human nature no tell him that it's human that's the next line says why does he do it that way i know and tell him that it's human nature that's the line after that but that's them asking the question of why does he do it that way and he's just coming out to the phone he's telling him and he's telling him it's human nature if they say why why why we still have yet to hear him say that why part and it's one of my favorite But at the end of the other, why, why, why, why?
Starting point is 00:08:08 Does he do me that way? Who is he, and why is he doing you that way? Does he do it that way? He's talking about, he's talking about, to me it says, does he do me that way? Oh, see, this is our lyrics doing different. I'm still on genius. I'm always genius. I'm always something else.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Team genius every time. A-Z lyrics. Yeah, okay. I think it's A to Z. That makes more sense. No, this A-Z lyrics. Does he do me that way is what he says, because I'm hearing it right now. Does he do it that way?
Starting point is 00:08:32 Well, listen. Do we do it that way? Listen, listen. All right, Michael, you tell us. They say, me. And can I just add that this is not a good look for Michael, given, like, everything that we know about his fucking history. Does he do me that way?
Starting point is 00:08:55 Does he do me that way? It's not a good look for a guy who's famously been brought to court for potentially deadling some little children. So, like, I don't, I don't know. I don't know. I mean, this song was made in 19, allegations. Allegations. Nineteen-82, so, like, you know, he had a whole.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Allegedly. I say allegedly. We get brought to court. I wonder. Say the word. Say it. Allegedly. There you go.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Say now we're clear and we can't get sued. You're welcome. Yeah. Whoever fucking regulates that bullshit. I just got to think that that was a question that was asked.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Occasionally at Neverland. Rich. Why does he do me that way? Yeah. Why did he do me that way? It's getting awkward. All right. The flies have stopped flying.
Starting point is 00:09:38 They're like, I don't even want to be here anywhere. Good. Good. chill back this is the real when you're going to break down some mic are we dissecting mike
Starting point is 00:09:47 I'll let this go for a little I'll let this go for a little while because we have to remember we have two songs we have to get through so let this point play for a little bit here we go let's get it Michael sing it he goes reaching out
Starting point is 00:09:56 touch a electric eyes everywhere so watching they say he goes that away and then when he sings
Starting point is 00:11:00 I didn't know what I thought he was going that's not what he does? No, he says, that way it was. That way it was. That's what he's singing when he goes, That way. That way. All right. No, we heard you do it three times. We're good. Don't do it again. Please don't do it again. All right. Uh, farce You gotta push balance. It's like nobody wants to hear you say it at third time. I was saving everybody. Pam did. Verse two literally begins with reaching out to touch a stranger. Mike. Oh man. Mike. We could talk. We love you to sit down
Starting point is 00:11:41 We love you, dude You're trying to be on your back right out Like a lot of my dancing Who's come from you, sir There's a bad line There's a lot of bad lines In the song Reaching out to touch the stranger
Starting point is 00:11:51 Electric eyes everywhere Electric eyes everywhere Has always been lying I like actually Because it just gets me What do you see when? I just think it means that like Everybody around Wherever we're at
Starting point is 00:12:01 We're living in the moment And we're like here for it Like we're excited about Like what is happening At this instant Yeah, that's right I like that. See that girl. She knows I'm watching.
Starting point is 00:12:15 She likes the way I stare. I'll be honest, most girls don't like when you stare in an awkward, like, continuous. You know, you got to do like a little quick look. If you would have, she likes the way I glance. Glance is the key. Glance is the key. Staring gets weird quick. Stair and gets weird quick.
Starting point is 00:12:32 This becomes like a stare off. Here's the thing. Very, very super thin line about. whether or not staring becomes creepy or wanted. Because, like, if you and somebody are, like, really, like, suddenly you're, like, catching eyes and you're, like, staring at each other across the room, and you're both, like, oh, shit, it's on. It's on.
Starting point is 00:12:51 It's on. More than five seconds is still. Yeah, but, like, even then it's weird if it's, like, more than five seconds. Yeah, but, like, look away and then come back. Yeah, yeah, like, well, I think this just has to turn into conversation or something. You know, we can't just keep it upstairs. Yeah, you got, like, swingers it and go over and talk to her. Right.
Starting point is 00:13:05 And then, you know, she'll tell you about her acne courier. But, yeah. They'll give you her a number and then you rip it up as you walk into the good chances. Is she looking? No, she's not looking. Oh shit, she just looked. She just looked. Yeah, staring in general.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Like, if your game plan is to sit there and just stare, like, don't make that a regular thing, Roddy. Don't make that like your go-to move. Like, hey, what's your game plan tonight? I'm just going to sit in the corner around. Do a lot of staring. I'm going to stare at this girl down. I'm a good stare. You see these eyes?
Starting point is 00:13:35 You see these eyes that I, uh... No, she likes the way I stare. Keep staying. Yeah, no. Don't do it. Michael. And she knows I'm watching. It's actually
Starting point is 00:13:43 viably worse, possibly worse, than reaching out to touch a stranger. But both lines, just bad lines. Like, Michael, can you clean this? Can you bring this back together? Well, I'm going to take it back to the fact that he's talking about
Starting point is 00:13:55 going out, looking at the city, and ready to party. He's basically talking about the city and he's telling the city. Right. And then... I'm ready to party.
Starting point is 00:14:06 And then what's... Like, I think you're looking at it as him talking to a girl. But I think he's referring that. So the original line is that, yeah, he's looking at it, go out and party. If the city is just an apple, let me take a bite. Let me take a bite. About him going out to the city.
Starting point is 00:14:18 But now I'm looking at this is like now he's out there and he's reaching out to touch a stranger. No, let your eyes everywhere. He's talking about the city. Like the city's a stranger. Like if you want to go poetic with it. Well, then what is he talking about? So see that girl, I know she's watching. The city's watching.
Starting point is 00:14:32 The girl's the city is watching. And he's staring back at it. This is all the city. He's like, I'm coming to fucking. Because you made it less creepy. Yeah. Only because the rest of the song goes into like looking, he goes back into looking out. Yeah, he goes back into the initial line here in a second.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Because we let the play the song play out. So anyway, what is he saying then when he goes, ah, because mine doesn't have that. That way. That's the way. What's he saying? That way it was. That way it was. What?
Starting point is 00:14:59 I don't know. We got to listen to it again. I want to know. But anyway, I'm going to go ahead and say that this song is talking about him going out to the city. No, it is. To enjoy itself. And it has nothing. to do with a female.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I don't know of reaching out and touching a stranger. Because if you were like touching somebody randomly and you're looking at her, you start staring out her, it gets weird quick, right? So I don't think he's doing that, but if you're touching the city and you stare at the city, can you imagine you be on the top of like the Empire State Building and you're ready to party night, you're like touching the air, like, I'm going to fucking get you. And it's like, and it likes it. It's like, it's got to put it.
Starting point is 00:15:27 It's party. Michael, here's the thing about Michael. I think that is actually like the way he games it in life. Michael Jackson and music video mode is like the smoothest gamer ever, but I don't to get transfers to regular life. Which, by the way, recently I was in Vegas, some friends, and we literally spent the last night,
Starting point is 00:15:45 just watching a bunch of Michael Jackson music videos all night. And it's the same story. Every Michael Jackson video is the same story. Are you ready for it? You ready? Hit me. All right. Mike, he's a smooth criminal, right?
Starting point is 00:15:58 He's chill. He's cool. But there's somebody that wants to get him. There's somebody that has it out for him, whether it's a mafia, or it's like these random, like, little thugs. He's gangsters. Somebody always wants to get them.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Egyptian people. Yeah, yeah. Right. They're literally beheading people. And do you remember video or Magic Johnson's like a feral and shit? You remember? And so it ends up like coming to a head. Like he becomes a standoff and Michael wins every fucking battle by merely just dancing out of it.
Starting point is 00:16:28 He just solves it with dance. There's even one when a young Wesley Snipes, I can't remember which song it is, but Young Wesley Snipes is like thug that he's like kind of battling with. and after Michael does this whole dance He's just like... Yeah, it's bad, no. I think that is bad, yeah. And he's literally just like,
Starting point is 00:16:43 hey, are you pretty cool? Like, that's literally like, he literally acknowledges just like, that was a dope dance. All right. I'm gonna let you live. I'm gonna let you go.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Like, yeah, literally, like, he just dances his way out of everything. That's how Michael Jackson solves his issues, music video wise. Legally speaking, even Thriller, even Thriller, he got all over there.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Thriller, it's zombies. Yeah, he's almost attacked by zombies. And he just joins him, dance his way out of it. And then it'd be, comes a dream where he's actually like in a dream but he's not and he's like actually like still a zombie and like yeah we discussed thrill before all right michael finish us off and then we want
Starting point is 00:17:17 to get into how much uh sw uv decided to rip as much as we love it rip this complete song and just put the exact i want to hear if he actually says can we get to that part where he goes what were you saying i wouldn't listen to the rest of the song does he say that that away the way it was i really but in a very high pitch let's hear it let's hear it i'm a listen the way it the way it So essentially he's, why are people asking him why he's going out though? According to my version of the story, he's going out tonight, he's going to see the city. And then random people will be like, why? Why?
Starting point is 00:19:26 And he's having an answer to them like. Because it's human nature, dude. It's human nature. Just fuck you. Just fuck you. Stop asking him why he's going out. You know what you figure out what the fuck you're doing. Because fuck you, that's why.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Whoever the fuck is asking him why the fuck he's going out. Being in my business. Yeah. Stop asking why? Why? First of all, why ask twice? Fuck whoever's asking him. This whole song,
Starting point is 00:19:48 he's going out of the city. He has it in a poetic way, and you keep asking him why. I want to fuck you. So he says, looking out across the morning, now it's morning. The city's a heart begins to beat.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Reaching out, I touch her shoulder. Again, Mike, I don't know if you're like being poetic. How do you reach out and touch the city's shoulder? He's about to get coffee. Hey, I'm dreaming of the street. He's dreaming of last night when he went out in the streets.
Starting point is 00:20:15 No, I think he's actually just talking about what he's going to get into. This is like the day, get up, walk around the city. It's a good, like, walking around, like, the city's alive kind of song. City has life. You're part of it. It's got its heartbeat. You keep randomly touching it for some reason. You're touching its shoulder.
Starting point is 00:20:33 You're reaching out to a stranger. As long as you're in it, you're touching it. I think that's what he's trying to refer to. That is a rough sentence to say. It's rough. I'm trying to be giving him the best end I still didn't hear the part where he says like That's why or what's coming
Starting point is 00:20:47 It's coming I wanted to save that for right now Alright so mine says It says why Oh why that way Yeah Yeah I respect it Alright
Starting point is 00:21:31 Something's wrong One of our lyrics is on I gotta say Wait what is your say again Go away Yeah yours is wrong Your shit Yeah
Starting point is 00:21:40 Your shit's wrong I like how you attach so much value to like to some random. These are my lyrics. Some random as good research. And your shit has to be right. It's competition at all times. Like whatever random. Why is yours got to be right?
Starting point is 00:21:53 Why is yours going to be right, bro? Because it sounds right. That's what I go off of. If my shit's not wrong. I did sound good. It did not at all. All right. You know what I love that Mike does at the end there though?
Starting point is 00:22:04 Stop, stop. I know you're going back for it. And I just fucking, you're over it. We've all heard that too much. I like that Mike I'm gonna hear for another song in a second I know like save it for that let us what's Mike trying to say
Starting point is 00:22:17 he later gets to a point where like all right you're like singing along with the lyrics of a song right but then like they're the same throughout the song so by the end you stop like saying the lyrics and just start being like tell them that is that tap tap down right
Starting point is 00:22:31 I don't know I like like he literally stopped saying words and he just like starts like dancing around with it with his fucking lyric I think it's fun. Like that he does that. He does that a lot of songs. And you enjoy that.
Starting point is 00:22:45 He just starts like scatting instead. Yeah. All right. Now let's hear one of the best remixes that I can recall. Honestly, I thought this was the original song. And then I didn't know, like human nature was the original,
Starting point is 00:22:58 which happens to a lot of music. Yeah, yeah. You hear like, which is actually a trip when that happens because like there will be a song that you've listened to for years. And you were like,
Starting point is 00:23:07 and then randomly. Yeah. Randly, you hear, like, on, like, driving home on, like, 94.7, the wave. In fact, that Pitbull did another song. You hear that, like, this song was actually made in 1977. You're like, whoa. Yeah, Pitbull, you made a song from back then. That song.
Starting point is 00:23:22 I mean, you're throwing Pitbull on it, and that just immediately adds a stain to it that I'm not even trying to. Like, you know, like, P. What episode was that? Episode was that? Episode. I don't know. I don't know. He's a guy who, like, constantly, like, made me.
Starting point is 00:23:36 For example, more many more problems is a combination of, like, three different songs. songs that I heard at three different times. I was just like, oh, shit, that's that part. Oh, there's that part. And I think that's always cool to realize, like, oh, there's a piece of this song that I've always listened to that actually existed for years. And I just never knew it. And that's the beauty of music is that, like, there's a never-ending playlist of stuff
Starting point is 00:23:59 that you can listen to. No, that's what's frustrating about music is the fact that I think I just found an original version. And it's like they literally just remade the version like SWV did in this one. but this is a great example. This is actually the original that I knew to be honest with you until I listened to the entire This is a masterclass of how to remake a song
Starting point is 00:24:17 And like as I said in the music video They had Michael Jackson in it so they gave him proper credit And uh yeah By the way pit bull discography Episode 50 Where Pipple just completely sucks Shit all over that motherfucker Because he just completely takes everybody's beat
Starting point is 00:24:33 Why here is shit on Pipple It's in episode 50 Fuck Pipple But yeah Tell us S double Double-double-U double-fib. Right out the gate, that's the exact same song. No, but it's got a dope hip-hop beat to it.
Starting point is 00:24:56 You're right. You hear it now. Stop it. Look at the song play, please. You're right. The hip-hop beat. It's fucking kills. Adds to it a little bit, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:26:19 Yeah. No, it adds to it a lot of it. Yeah, no, SWV absolutely is putting on a masterclass of how to remix the song. And like I said, give proper attribution to Michael, and everybody knows this is a human nature remix. By the way, this was created in 1993, so it was in, 11 years after the fact, good amount of space to give time to, like, let that song breathe, and then bring it back at that point. Like, think about, some that was made, like, what, 2010 at this point, like, that's it.
Starting point is 00:26:46 That's ready to, like, come back a little bit. Yeah. It's kind of weird, but. Yeah. It's weird to actually think that that's, like, the same amount of time. All right. Real quick. That's what to say from listening to the lyrics, which we're about to go over really quickly here,
Starting point is 00:26:57 a lot more direct, a lot less poetic, a lot more what I enjoy. and that's why I find this song to be much, you know, more up my alley because the Michael song was talking about a city obscurely that we weren't sure because he was touching the shoulder of the city and you were like, wait, dude, you're weird, come on, calm that shit down. The city gives you a wink, though, what do you know? It's weird stuff, but this one just tells you exactly what it's going to be like this. Lately, it seems to be some insecurity
Starting point is 00:27:24 about the way I feel the way I want to be, but you know it's with you. No one can do. to me and like you do the things you do oh the things you do to me all right so she's basically just saying
Starting point is 00:27:37 she's just telling her guy lately you've been feeling a little insecure about our relationship but I want you to know you're mine yeah I'm in this that's basically what I'm getting from this is that what's your kind of understanding of it
Starting point is 00:27:50 yeah the things you do to me never to be mistaken long as it's love we're making it's gonna be some rain gonna be some pain like that this is my kind of poetry too yeah a little bit more direct but you know exactly what she's talking about like you know telling you what it's going to be
Starting point is 00:28:08 it's going to be some rain going to be some pain well when people say rain oftentimes I feel like they're like saying it like it's a bad thing but like I like a little rain every now yeah well it's going to be some bad times they're going to be some pain but as long as she knows some rain every now time will show their love will grow and she will know that the love will be right Anyway, yeah, dude This is my kind of rap
Starting point is 00:28:32 This is why I like this so much She's basically saying Her and her man are together If they have any problems They're going to work through it And they're going to stay together As long as she knows Their love will grow
Starting point is 00:28:43 And their love will always be right here I mean this is Dedication song right here This is my shit Yeah While woman lets me know No matter what I fuck up doing shit
Starting point is 00:28:54 My dumb ass like spent too much money on some stupid shit that I wasn't supposed to spend money on. You know what? She got my back. If she does that shit, I got her back. True relationship status right here.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Something Castle and I have been searching for. For that. I'll be right here. That's a type of shit. S. There's a reason one. You double V. V.S.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Double double. You. The V. First of all, what a great way to get over your group name because like you remember that shit forever. You always hear that.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Like literally when I hear Human Nature by Michael Jackson, I start going, S-Double. U-D-B-V-B. S-S-S-Double-U-V-B. What's actually crazy is he only says it like twice, but it feels like that happens way more in the song. That's the only part I sing on it. Yeah. Every time you start hearing it, yeah, he does at the beginning and does it right there.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Here's the thing. Human Nature, great song. But they take this and, like, they just like up the end. They like turn into hip-hop beat. They make it better. It's a tough task to make the song that actually is that classic actually sound better with a little bit of a hip-hop beat to it. I agree, man. All right, real quick, let's get in these lines.
Starting point is 00:31:55 To love some don't believe in. That's just what I'm giving. I'm going to keep it strong. I'll be holding on to you. No one can do, mean like you do. It's true. Okay, so going back to one episode, if you're going back to one episode, if you're going. giving it to it right
Starting point is 00:32:15 you guys can get through some shit am i right castle like the cat was banging paula opposites attract yeah paula was banging the cat even if you're opposite even if they were like completely off the cat was giving it like according to you know again this one also has sort of like a people don't believe in us but like where it's us against the world it's almost like the last track is going into this one goes into this one yeah they try to be like we're opposite track and then they're going nicer into it you know yeah yeah hey hey hey you know what it's like why are you with that guy you're so opposite from You know why?
Starting point is 00:32:43 Love will be right. Because it's human nature. Human nature, yeah. You know what? You don't get to pick who you fall in love with. You can't do it a little bit, I guess. You know what I mean? Like, you don't get to pick who just kind of falls into your life.
Starting point is 00:33:00 And sometimes you're just like, well, I think I'm, I think this is where it's going. I've got to take this ride right now. This is the roller coaster I'm on. And I'm here to ride it because she'll be right here. Man, me and cast on 100% thought S-S-S-Double-U-B happened way more in the song I thought it happened like throughout it These few times
Starting point is 00:34:01 Or at the end I thought He said at the beginning, right? I think so Not as prominent as the later version of it yeah He said it once at the beginning and then once at the end Man, what a good song. That song gets me happy vibes No matter how I look at it All right, so
Starting point is 00:34:16 Time to make tough decisions just to know. I'm trying to say which one's better? You can only have one of these songs in your life. Which ones you enjoy as an all-around piece of music and art? Which one do you go with? I'm going SWV. Wow.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Going SWV. I like the way, but it's more of a joke. Whereas right here has a certain feel to it. And it's a certain feel to it. You could dance to it a little better. And I don't know, man. And it's almost the exact same song. Just an additional beat that helps you to dance to it.
Starting point is 00:34:59 I'm into it. I'm going to go ahead and say as much as it's weird, because I would think the Michael Jackson version would usually top or the original version. Usually it would go the original, yeah. But on this one, man, no, they get it just enough. You said it gave enough time and made it prominent enough in the video, gave him his due diligence. in the video.
Starting point is 00:35:22 I'm going to go SWV, man. Love will be right. Next question then. Is this the best remake of a classic song ever? I don't know. I'm putting in a spot with that one. It's hard to like him. There's so many.
Starting point is 00:35:38 I didn't have a list in front of me. Should have done that little research before. For now. Stop of your head though. For now? I think it's right. Until later. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:49 I can't come home. You know what? I want to say more money, more problems on it. all right well see that one i now you're putting me on spot i don't know any classic ones so i'm just gonna say it's too hard of a decision i just okay well so mo money more problems biggie mace and p ditty uh back in around like i don't know what like 96 that was my favorite song for years like that was it like i actually remember going out of my way looking for that song on a CD i bought p ditty's album i bought p ditty's album
Starting point is 00:36:17 signed biggie's album that i didn't actually buy that was the that was missing but like i literally found it on a CD mix called Ultimate Dance Party 1997 I think and that was it was track three on that one that was where I finally found it because that was how we had to find music back in the day all y'all Jen Zier's listening or whatever the fuck that joke we wanted a song back in the day we literally had to find it on a CD and when I learned like I said earlier the combination of that mix beautiful yeah amazing job by Sean Diddy Combs and sometimes the way that we find songs
Starting point is 00:36:51 is as random as he did that, whereas we listen to what Castle said or what I say, and we're like, we should dissect that song, which I found, we just found our next one, sir. Are we doing my own money more problems? Are we getting into it? Oh, man, I don't even know I can handle it. Oh, let's go. But before we do that, got to slap this one out. We got to slap, what we're doing, both of them combined, or are we doing, which?
Starting point is 00:37:10 Actually, real quick, I didn't ask you which one are you picking, because you gave me the pick. All right, I'm going to cheat. I'm a cheat. I'm going to cheat. I love the combination of the two. I've heard them mixed before where it literally goes back and forth because I do think SWV You cheated, you cheated, bro
Starting point is 00:37:29 You didn't give me the fucking thread off. They made it better beat-wise. I mean, I can more dance. I'll dance to SWV's version. But as like a piece of music, I think I just got to go with Michael in it. I think like his lyrics, like listening to him sing it, I would rather hear him sing it than them.
Starting point is 00:37:46 But they're great. They're both so good. Honestly, like I said, possibly right up there with the best remixing of like taking an old song and turning into something new but still sounds like the same like this is as good as you can do Masterclass by SWVE
Starting point is 00:38:00 and this is why we all still remember the name SSWW UVVV SSWWWB That's my SLAP That was your rating out of five Four slaps out of five Four out of five and of course the
Starting point is 00:38:23 SSWWU double BB because that's you know That's this, that's his song. What you're giving it? What's you giving it? It's the combination of both human nature and. You're doing the combo. Okay, what do you give?
Starting point is 00:38:35 It's got to be the combo, right? And it is? You know what? I can't back off what I just said. Like, it's literally an amazing song that was then made even possibly greater. The combination of the two. That's something that, like, we never see. How often do you see an amazing song then made even greater?
Starting point is 00:39:06 And the remix just, like, adds to it. I'll say this. Tell me if this makes sense. If we were just doing one or the other, I wouldn't have given it five. They both songs, as they stand alone, are just shorter of five-slepper-meet. But the combination of the two, the fact that you got... Right here is the combination of the two, but you're talking about... No, it's not, though.
Starting point is 00:39:27 It's not, though. Combined the two. Honestly, I've heard the songs remix together, and it is a fucking fantastic jam. And like that, for that, like I'm saying, the whole body of work, the fact that Michael put this thing together, great poetry great work on quincy jones or just another fucking banger that came off the thriller yeah dude's thriller just go listen to it someday like fucking non-stop killers then this group comes out 11 years later possibly makes it even better like it's just like a it's just music at its best this is what we fucking listen and music for recording room they were like are we really just
Starting point is 00:40:02 gonna are we really just repeating they're like yeah it's gonna be a banger it's gonna work And they really put SWV on the map. Yeah, and they did, right? Can you name another SWV song? Yeah. I guess I'm waking me. I know that was your job. Anyways.
Starting point is 00:40:21 All right. I think it's time because I'm all about money. I'm all about problems. And it's time to get in our next episode because we're done here. Let's combine them both. You ready? Next!
