Starting point is 00:00:03 It's the Disset DJ, DG, DGJs. Dyset Dijs. There we go. Rough fans, let's hear what you guys got to talk about. Get into it. Baby, relax, sit back and chill. Yeah, let me tell you how I feel. It's all around you been stepping out.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Running your powerful. We make it make it make I wouldn't find out. Woo! Rough-Fand, you boys got into it really quickly there. Is it boys? Do that lyrics in this week? I'll pull them up, right? I kind of started a little late here.
Starting point is 00:00:37 But ladies and gentlemen, we're welcome back. Disec DJ. It's about to dissect. Dicect. No more by Rough Ends. Did you ever know that the band that did this? No, man, I had no idea that this song was done by Ruff End. I would have guessed Montel Jordan or like...
Starting point is 00:00:52 I don't think I would have guessed any of that. I just never thought about it. I remember when this song was playing regularly. It was right around the time I got really into listening to Power 106 and 100.3 to beat. Those were my stations. And I used to listen to it with my boombox with... cassette tape in and then I would hit record on the songs that I really liked. And that was how we used to make a mixtape, ladies and gentlemen,
Starting point is 00:01:13 before the days of internet downloads. I'm really dating myself there, but that's how we used to do it. And it was a jam. This is quintessential. Late 90s hip-hop R&B jams. I don't think this group ever came out with another track. I didn't even know it was rough ends until yesterday. I don't know who rough ends is to this point.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Is it rough ends with a Z at the end? The one guy has a hat like Neil. the other guys have them a do-rag. I don't know who these guys are, but apparently they made it either way. Yeah, they made a jam, though. Like, let's not hate on them for making up track. I'm going to hate on them for a lot of things they did already
Starting point is 00:01:48 with this young lady. And let's hear about those things. Here we go. What did they just say? I mean, did we even... Oh, yeah. Let's hear about the way it said. We almost got into that. I got the lyrics. Baby, relax it back and chill. Just give me a second. Let me tell you how I feel. Okay, so he's about to get into it with his woman.
Starting point is 00:02:03 He's describing what he's about to get into. because all around town you've been stepping now running your mouth about and tell me thinking they're gonna find it now from what I'm reading from this situation he's got his girl he set her down he's like let me tell you something real quick he's like he's digging in because he has some information that this young lady doesn't know he's got some shit on this girl he's saying out the game I've been pulling some insight some info and some intel from all around town and I got some stuff it's behind what he's saying he's got some notes ready to go he's like um number one I saw you would talk
Starting point is 00:02:35 Tyrone around the corner at the deli last Friday. And I asked you where you was at? You said you was at the nail salon, bitch. All right. I think you're better. That's just one. That's one. And he chucks that note cart away.
Starting point is 00:02:47 And he's like, number two. Yeah. So anyways, this guy's got some, yeah. He's got some shit. He's burned at this point. And he's ready to let her. Whoever Michelle or Rebecca or wherever he's sitting down is listening to this, she knows, too. She's like, oh.
Starting point is 00:03:00 She already knows she done wrong. Was it not there for you, truly care for you. I love about that one. I like that he jumps in with the conclusion that I like, you know what? Maybe my love was just too good. I think that was that the problem? That was it right. My love was too good.
Starting point is 00:03:20 I mean, he's like, no, was I not there for you, truly cared for you? He's letting you know, yo, was I not there for you whenever you needed me? And whatever she's doing around town, he's not into. Yeah, and you're right, Castle. That's exactly what he's saying. He's trying to soft blow. He's landing it on a soft blow. But, like, he was just out of too good, right?
Starting point is 00:03:36 No, let's be real. Like, if your love's too good, is she really going to leave you? No, man, if you're slamming that correctly and you're giving them the proper love, not only physically, but all the emotionally and all the other bullshit that goes to a relationship, is she going to leave? Absolutely not. Something this man is doing is not working here. However, he's going to come in.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Or she might just be a hoe. That, I mean, that could be one side. Or he's way too confident in himself, and what he's doing, the attention he thinks he's bringing to the relationship, ain't shit. The fact that he thinks the problem is maybe my love is too good. Yeah, it's like, you suggest that you might be on with that one.
Starting point is 00:04:10 You're a little too cocky, my man. Like, I don't know, you think your dick's big? There's a bigger dick in the, out there. I guarantee it. Or one that's working better. And might be able to slam a little bit more.
Starting point is 00:04:20 So, you know what I do? I buy her flowers. And a recess. Because I love her. A recess. Just on. Moving on. I mean, in four lines,
Starting point is 00:04:41 he gets into it, right? does he lace it with the final things Does he make you want to scream his name Maybe not the first one I bet he's a broke ass These are questions But he probably makes it You don't want to hear if he makes his
Starting point is 00:04:53 I don't want to know the answers these questions Honestly I mean he might laser with the final things And if he does These are- These are questions that he's hoping are rhetorical You know like You always see these presented
Starting point is 00:05:03 In these kind of R&B songs But it's like If you actually took this to your axi And you're like Yo does he make you scream his name though And she just was like Yeah, he does. You just be like...
Starting point is 00:05:14 Louder than you, actually. All right. I didn't think you was going to hit me with that right now. And does he lace you with the fighter thing? She's like, yeah, he gave me a loom for Tom Purst. Remember that one I took to our... Fuck, these no cards are working against me right now. You start just flipping through him.
Starting point is 00:05:28 They hit it from the front to back. I bet he hits front back and then sideways and completely takes it to another ankle. What if she hit you with that? Oh, man. And sideways, my fucker. This sit down is not going as I thought. Does he let you break it down like that? I'm telling you right now, man, you sound a little unconfident, and you're asking too many questions.
Starting point is 00:05:48 A lot of questions. A lot of questions that don't need to be answered. This is one thing I got to be honest. Castle, if you listen to three things we got to talk about, we go into detail about 90s R&B, and you can tell that he's experienced in the R&B talk, and he's just realizing, you know what, there's a lot of this going on. A lot of these 90s R&B songs are kind of one. Go back to three things you got to talk about. We'll bring him on this spot.
Starting point is 00:06:08 We will. We'll get them up there. And guys are just always overthinking themselves in 90s Yeah, just kind of be too cocky Just do you But alright, let's keep here when he's going All right, you should have told me the love was gone I agree
Starting point is 00:06:32 Ladies, if you're done I know it's hard I know it's a bad couple weeks Get done It's way better than just being in a dead relationship Yeah man we know We gotta try to fight it But ladies
Starting point is 00:06:45 we can see in your eyes we can see in the way you're treating us the way you're touching us you're done or lack there of all the above just end it okay next verse never thought you'd do me wrong
Starting point is 00:06:59 and honestly when you get into relationship you never hope that a woman's gonna do you wrong but then he ends with I thought that your love was strong till I saw you in another man's arms all the other previous lines are telling me that you kind of got a feeling that it wasn't that strong
Starting point is 00:07:13 and yet it took until you straight saw her being like, no, me and Tyrone is good now to make you be like, all right, you know what? I got something to tell you then. First of all, rough ends. This is me coming from maybe because I have low income, whatever, I don't care. What are you doing paying for her shopping sprees, late night creeps, and VIPs, and Doe? Like, you're giving this woman, dough. You're giving her shopping sprees.
Starting point is 00:07:47 You're paying for her late night creeps, which I don't even know what that means. This is all your money, sir. What are you doing? That whole chorus kind of comes off as like a shableness. sugar daddy like cutting off that's what he was yeah but late-nought creeps though that's different from all the other things we're all about like hey oh this is some kind of what is late-night creeps castle what do you i mean i would assume it meant late-night creeps with me but if it's not then that's really because then you're how are you going to cut off that like he's he's letting her
Starting point is 00:08:18 know that you're creeping with other people and i'm not paying for that anymore and i'm not i think it's talking i think he's right i think it's all him so no more shopper's me's no more Late Night Creep's with him. No more VIP's with him. No more Doe. And he's not kicking it no more. By the way, sir, after you just explain the other four things, I think she gets the point that you're not kicking it no more. I don't think she's trying to kick it at that point. I do want to point out the reason that this song just got brought to my attention was because I came across it in a meme that pointed out how much it describes our current situation in quarantine life of 2020. No more shopping sprees. No more late night creep. No more VIP. No more, though.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Girl, we can't even kick of no more. And, you know what? You know what? The chick he's talking to has the coronavirus. You're right. You are fucking right. And now we're on the same page. I get it.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Rough hands was talking about a young lady that caught the coronavirus. He's like, no. Shit. Way ahead of his time, dude. 20 years. Don't even stand. Are you five feet close to me? You better stand six.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Get back, bitch. Get back. 12 inches too close. Like obviously. Back up. So you want to have in a nap in the backseat Beaves me that you was all about But I'm having downs Because I see you trying to play me out.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Wait a second. So he, she'd be straight watching him. He's like, yo, I saw you in the backseat B's spilling henny on his lap. He spilled Hennessy? It is Navigator. Do you know? How much you've got to be like craving and spying to be able to catch her in a backseat sitting on his lap? Of a navigator.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Which is guaranteed. Like, there's no way the window. weren't tis. That's not a limo by the way. That's a two, like that's a two seat in the regular SUV, big ass SUV. You can't just be, how are you going to be stupid in the back of that? And she's not only just sitting in the back there with her, but on his lap, spilling henny on it, like, she's well established with whatever she's got going on right now. He saw her at the Ave, so he was on the street, saw her in the nav, the navigator. Yeah, yeah. Which was tinted. I get the vibe. And he's in the back seat,
Starting point is 00:10:29 spilling her hanny on his lap, your right castle, in order for him to see the possibility of actually... That shit doesn't happen by accident. It's not like they were walking around the... It's not like they're walking around the pier and the public hand in hand. Like, they're just in a back seat car and you're just like...
Starting point is 00:10:46 I saw that though? And they're like, yeah. Hennie. Hennie in a back seat. It was clearly henny. Oh, man. In his lap. First of all, sir, if you're getting so close to the car
Starting point is 00:10:54 to see her spilling Henny on his lap... You're creeping. You're being crazy, dude. Like, obviously there's something wrong. She's obviously playing you. It should be done right there. You should be like, it's spreading hell. I'm just laughing on, and now we're done.
Starting point is 00:11:07 And then the song ends. And then I'm moving on. And then a new song comes on because you're moving on. You can't even creep it no more. When I'm probably called a queer with beep, didn't I represent you when I cornered him in the streets? So let me get the keys to the legs and no more checks. And no more hang a baguettes around your neck, babe. Hangin bagel bag, around your neck, babe.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Does that mean like he was hanging like a straight loaf of bread around her neck? What does that even mean? Was that a, is that term for like a, some of, I know. I bet if you urban dictionary begets, it'll tell you. Look at it real quick. Google that it real quick. But I want to go back to the original. But when the brother called you the crib with beef, didn't I represent you?
Starting point is 00:11:45 So the guy that you spilled Henny on called your house talking shit. This guy still represented you like, yo, you got a problem with my girl. And then he called him in the streets. So he, so let me get the keys to the Lex and then my checks. So he fought for you Had your back And then he took your keys back from his Lexus And his checkbook that he gave you
Starting point is 00:12:11 Why is this man giving you So much He's originally giving you shopper's breeze There's been nothing That's Lexuses Checks Nothing in this song has suggested You get loaves of bread around your neck
Starting point is 00:12:26 Yo and I looked it up By the way I looked it up in Nirmative dictionary And the definition is A baguette is a long French bread It can also mean penis in other languages in German. So... You're taking pieces around your neck.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Just for your pleasure. And then, you know what? It gave me a sentence. Man, I will bring a baguette tonight. Woman, what kind of baguette do you mean? That's the sentence they gave me. So either way, I don't know what the fuck this guy's talking about. I love what the last line of baguettes is.
Starting point is 00:12:55 None of these... But everything else, Castle, he's giving shopperts breads, late-night creeps, VIPs, dough. He gave her Alexis, of which... She wants the keys back now. Thank you. And checks. None of...
Starting point is 00:13:06 He gave her blank checks. Who is this woman? How hot is she? And how did she get all this from him? None of the things that he has brought up in the song has anything to do with love, romance, actual genuine connection or bond. It's literally just been about like, yo, I've been paying for all this shit for you. And I've been getting to fuck somebody.
Starting point is 00:13:28 And you're going to fuck somebody else? You still go on fire! I don't know. That... Even as you. You gotta appreciate it as I do. The back darn singer just takes over. He takes over.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Let it go. Let him kick it to the back again. And I will, but like he makes it seem like he's the, he's being wrong. Stop giving out your money, homie! No more, no more. If you wouldn't have gave her Blake checks and your Lexus and shopping sprees. He ain't even kicking no money. Yes, yes somebody else's house is hitting it from front to back. back. Hey, the background singer just makes a song though. He does. Leap singer. He
Starting point is 00:14:38 does. No, is that what it is? Yeah, yeah. This guy. This guy working. Go. Yeah. Seriously, Michelle or Christine or whoever. I like Michelle. I imagine the song being directed like Michelle. Michelle? He gave you Alexis. He gave you blank checks. He gave you shopping sprees. Late night creeps. BIPs and dough. I gotta be honest, the guy that's in the Navi must have a fantastic dick for you and you know what I... And he clearly has henny. You know which song I think is actually
Starting point is 00:15:27 the devil's advocate to this? You ever heard that Jennifer Lopez song? My love don't cost a thing. I feel like this is that. Because that whole song is like... You think you can buy me, Matt? We almost should like do that one in reverse. I don't really want to hear the whole song right now.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I don't know what it is, but you like to bring up J-Lo songs. Oh my God, it's a twice in a row. Shit. Yeah. This is the second time you brought up J-Lo to describe the song. And I gotta be honest, I never thought of J-Lo
Starting point is 00:15:54 as a musical artist or poetic person, but apparently she's... Here we are. She's giving you exactly the information. Because like everything you just threw out of like, yo, he did this for you. He did that for you.
Starting point is 00:16:06 He did that. And all I kept hearing was like none of those things. Those are all like material possessions. Like if there was no connection between this two, like, and that's nothing in the song suggests that there was.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Like, this guy was completely banking on the fact that like, yo, I bought you things though. Does that mean nothing? Like that's all he's got. I'm like for so much. That's all he's got going off of them. Those.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Alexis. Clearly nothing. I gave you everything you needed. He doesn't even suggest that he was giving her a good D or baguette. I don't even think he was given a good baguette. He didn't give her a good baguette. No. And then she found somebody else that she could get good baguette from while spilling Henny in the back of the nav.
Starting point is 00:16:44 This song, ever since I've heard it since I was whatever year. What year was this? 2000. This was 2000? Yeah. I would have thought 97, but any case, ever since I heard the song, I always felt bad for the guy, because the girl did him wrong. The girl is cheating on the guy in the nabby with Henny. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:02 She's messing up on him. But I've got to be honest with you, now that I'm listening this, as in most 90s songs, I'm not taking her side, but I'm also not taking his. Dude, what were you doing giving her so much? You were you? You were you being back? You over-exempt. She knew she had you in the bag, and she found. another dick that was better and bigger
Starting point is 00:17:22 and decided to take your response was probably, yo look, here's a blank check to stay with me. Stay with me. Here's a blank check. Buy whatever you want. Get out of here. And she's like, yeah, okay, I'll take this. Money only goes so far, man. Money only goes so far, man. Money only goes so far. I don't care. Money only goes so far.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Although, there's some women that. J-Lo said it best. My love don't cost a thing, man. We almost got to do some J-Lo, too. J-Lo, J-Lo always solves all you. Right, man. J-lo, we love you. Keep solving these problems for us. Okay, so how many slaps are going to give this one though
Starting point is 00:17:53 I'm gonna go ahead and give it because it explains so much Is that five, five slaps? Four and a half? I heard five. Is that last one a half? It's a little, I don't know how we're gonna do the half Yeah, just, I don't know how we're gonna do the half.
Starting point is 00:18:09 We forgot, you know what? And a, and a click. And a four and a half slap and a snap. And a snap. Four and a snap. I don't know. So the only reason I gave it, it's not a full five is because this guy's a biotch
Starting point is 00:18:20 and he paid away too much. But the beat by hundred. it. The beat carries it. The way he carries at the end and bridge, nah, why? Yeah, that's where it really brings it up to me. Because that's what I always loved about it. No more, no more, no more. I love, I know that you love when the guys at the end of the song, like, gets it. Let it loose on that. That's always where this song gets me going. So, I always loved it without actually really knowing it. So how many slaps do you give it? And snaps. I'm going to give it. Three and a half? I don't know what that was. I was like, three and a half.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Three and a half. Three and a half and a snap. three half snap and a little extra but just under four three and a half and a little yeah just under four between three and a half and a four I don't know this is getting complicated already yeah a little bit
Starting point is 00:19:08 you know you get the gist let's go with slaps I don't give it four slaps I'm feeling four slaps right now four slaps you know why because like when I came across I'll tell you why right now
Starting point is 00:19:18 because I'm on a high in this song because it was one of those songs that I had forgotten about for many years and then I just came up on it yesterday day and when you're on that new realization like oh remember the song that he's a jam to 20 years ago or whatever and it comes back to you
Starting point is 00:19:34 it brings you to a new high like by next week I'll probably want to bring it down a little bit but I'll give it four lapses and it also fits the scenario we're in we're in no more shopping sprees if you take it personally I can't do any more shopping sprees I can't do any more late in my creep There's no VIP for anyone guarantee no VIPs Doe is on its way out
Starting point is 00:19:54 No more dough. With there, there's no currency there can't. And you know what? We can't even kick it no more except Castle and I. We can't even kick it, Doma. Because we have been social distance. We are currently six feet away from each other, everyone, so you know. Standing across the room.
Starting point is 00:20:07 We make sure we keep this sitting there. I can't even give it. I can't even high-fiving. I can't even high-fiving. I can't even high-five them. Although I did drink from your drink earlier, and I'm sorry for that. All right. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:20:18 I already threw it out and burned the cup, so we did. All right. Well, with that, with that, no more, rough friends. you guys for for telling us how much we shouldn't do for women and too much and how much we shouldn't do right now because we can't do shit right now but thank you for reminding everybody that you did exist at one point because you made some jams and nobody remember you for that that was your song ever so with that next
