La, black, black,
Lasette,
DJs.
All right, sole decision week in full effect.
What's going on, everybody?
It's DJ MCJG in the building here with Cali Castle,
keeping the week rolling.
A lot of letters in that name that you just dropped right there.
Seven.
It's a license plate, sir.
Should make a license plate then.
No, I don't have the money.
It is sold decision week,
and once again, I'm so glad we can give this group some shine
because they are a low-key overstep group from, I don't know, probably the mid-early 2000s, I'd say.
So, yeah, actually, air-to-2000s.
I'm looking at it's about 2000.
A little bit of a slept-on group, which is part of the reason that I've carried them on all these years.
Because if I always had a marching group of teen girls going, that's my favorite too,
then I would probably back off it a little bit.
But I didn't hear that as loud.
Not as loud as the NSYNCs or the Backsheep boys, you know.
Huh? Huh? Huh?
That's me waking up to this whole decision
And being amazed by this group
Because this is the second song
And out the gate, they come with it
And the lyrics say, I gotta, let me see something here
Let me make sure it doesn't go
There it goes, it's going again, stop
If you want my love, help me heal the pain in my eyes
Now, getting deep really quickly
And it's in a dreamy
Sorry, that was in head
That's our next song we're getting into
You don't even want to know
DICEG DG is always sticking ahead
But right now, in the first lyric castle, if you want my love, help me heal the pain in my eyes.
I never actually realized that's what they said right there.
What are they saying?
What do they mean?
What are they talking about?
Help me heal the pain in my eyes.
That kind of actually sounds like an insult.
It's like you're looking at something that sucks.
That's what I'm taking it as.
The whole time I'm here, I'm like, wait, what did you just say out the game?
Like, say something as your first sentence.
Unless the pain in their eyes is just like they got some cataract surgery.
trying to recover from or something.
Okay.
But, um...
All right.
Well, let's keep then continuing on.
Oh, it's kind of crazy.
I've been drinking baby.
I've been thinking.
I've been drinking.
Right?
Wait, wait.
Does your lyric say, I've been drinking, baby?
What's it say?
That's definitely no words.
I've been thinking maybe.
Oh, thinking.
I just, the play symbol's right word.
So I just kind of guessed.
I kind of hoped.
It sounded like an interesting remix.
If you wanted to like change up with the whole thing was,
Sorry, yeah, so that's my brother.
But basically, yeah, he's this girl's on his mind.
Okay, girls on his mind.
He's been crazy, but still not explaining the pain in his eyes,
which could be many things.
Does he have pink eye, right?
Does he have dry eyes as the allergy season?
Or does he have, is it more theoretical,
and he just has a pain,
and he doesn't want to look at a girl because she hurts him.
The pain in the eye thing is still throwing me for a little.
Or maybe she's just a sore sight for her eyes, you know.
Not really the easiest on the eyes to look at, and he's just trying to get over that.
He's like, yo, I kind of love you, but can you drop a couple?
If you want my love, help me heal the pavement, like, put some makeup on, what you say?
Like, do yourself up a little bit?
I don't know.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't think that's where that sounds like that.
I don't think that's where they would go with this, but they're leaving.
You're leaving it up to X.
I got it.
I got it.
You want to write poetry?
You're going to leave it up to the reader to determine what you're trying to say, and that's what we do.
As extreme as it needs to go.
That's how we dissect.
First you say you want me.
Now your memories hold me.
Why don't you just give me a shot?
All right.
So what does he mean by there?
You know what?
I feel like this is actually the continuation of Fated.
Because that was like them kind of being like, yo, what's the deal?
Are we this or something going on?
And now they've kind of inched into it a little bit.
Now they're taking steps.
But now it's kind of like, but I don't know.
Are you saying this song and Fated?
are connected?
I think so.
Are you connecting these two?
They absolutely are.
Oh my goodness.
Do I know how connected they are?
Both music videos begin with the other song playing at the beginning of it.
Remember how music videos is to do that?
Just to like get the other one out there a little bit.
And in this one, I still remember the music video.
It's faded as the alarm clock and he hits his alarm clock.
And then he wakes up and for some reason as a bunch of girls screaming outside the room.
And then he goes to like let his other homie in sole decision know.
and he's playing n64
which is perfectly what dates
this whole time period as to why it's awesome to me
the fact that the music video starts with them playing n64
I'm in
it's all got a boy George
culture club feel to it no
yeah are you getting that because no I never got that
but I don't know
I don't really I don't really feel it
it yeah I'm gonna
maybe we should have a culture club week
maybe not
I'm just saying we're making too many weeks
at this point all right
You just got to like stick to individual bangers every now and then, all right?
Soul decision, got a week.
But I'm telling you.
I forget.
I don't know what Boy George song I'm talking about, but there's a song that sounds just like this.
And everybody that's listening that knows the Boy George's song.
They're like, I know what song are you talking about.
They're probably yelling at me for not knowing and I'm a DJ.
But whatever.
I'll tumble for you.
I can't be that one.
It's a good song.
That's not the one I'm talking about.
But it's a good.
Oh, I know what you're talking about.
I'll come up for you.
you it's uh what is it something about hurt me right that's the clip we're talking about that's exactly
what we're talking about editing ladies i hear it now i hear it got it got it got it okay so but seriously
that's what i'm getting from this and then from the lyrics again you're combining this with the other
song yeah let's just carry it on as this is the story that soul decision is telling first you say
you want me your memories haunt me i thought i had someone that i could fall in love with someone who could
treat me right so I tried to be kind I thought for sure I'd make you mine but something's weighing
heavy on my mind or it's actually just weighing up on my mind and we don't know what that is yet but so
he's having issues in the relationship he's the end of it he wants it something's on his mind again
something's tripping him again I will continue the point that I made in track one of total decision
week very realistic storytelling here because like you have that sort of like I don't know I feel like
is there something here should I make a move and then you do and you're like
Oh my God, are we starting a relationship?
And then there's this weird feeling like, oh my God, we're actually getting into this.
We're going for it.
And then I feel like...
But you have your doubts.
There's a point where you're like, but wait, why does it feel like this might not be the right move right now?
And like, you know, like that's...
Why does every Tuesday and Thursday she'd not be able to hang out with me because she apparently has to go to dinner with her friends?
Quotation.
You know what I mean?
Quotation.
Like, what is that?
And a question mark.
Can I not meet these friends?
Yeah.
Who are these friends?
No further explanation has ever given.
and your quote and quote friends.
Something's on.
I don't know.
We just added all that to the story,
but you know what?
It makes it juicier, so stir the pot.
Let me let it play.
Now we can stop it.
This man continues to doubt what's happening in this relationship.
He keeps asking for a sign.
What's a sign?
Help me heal the pain in my eyes,
which, again, he's not explaining.
Does he need to go to the doctors?
Does he need some vising?
I think he just wants a sign.
What of the sign he's been looking for this whole time
is that eye test you got at the doctor's office
is that like, okay, name the letters on the screen.
It's always E. Why is it always E?
It starts with E.
He's always the first one.
The big E at the top.
Because if you mix E with B, your eyes are fucked up.
That's why they put that there.
Oh.
That makes sense.
Not an optometrist.
You might.
I know you want me now.
If you want my love, why don't you tell me?
Because I've had enough of plastic people wasted my time.
So I feel like he's asking.
her to show him signs of which she's probably already doing but he's too oblivious to because
he's been hurt in the past and he's like whatever just show me another sign um i just bought you a
lambourgini uh show me another sign i have very much doubt that that was a sign i bought you
you know imagine whatever none of those things happen in the story i bought you uh groceries last night
i bought you this key chain yeah i bought you groceries i bought you fours i bought you all the drinks
last night that we went out with. I paid for the night.
Shit.
Show me another sign. You know, this guy just can't get enough of the sign and it's
ruining the relationship. There might be an element of paranoia that's based
off of his previous relationships.
Somewhere maybe he's been burned in the past.
Maybe she's being like too perfect and he's not sure he's trusting it.
I don't know. It's hard to say. But again,
everything's very realistic in this thing.
He's not writing lyrics that are not relatable, I'd say.
All I got to say is ladies, show more signs.
You know?
Let's see it.
Do you got a yield in your backpack there?
Show us four sides.
Just if you do like you're showing enough signs.
That is a good point, actually.
Show some more.
Because you know what?
A lot of times girls like to think that mind reading game needs to be on point and they rely on that.
Stop relying on mind reading game.
Show us a sign.
On behalf of all men, don't assume mind reading is an ability that us men have because I assure you.
This guy was out with other guys.
Right?
That one jumped out of me too.
Who are these other guys?
Now, are you going to gay bars with your gay friends?
That's one thing.
I've had that in Paris.
It's like still a little bit like, still a little bit.
Why do you always got to go with the-
What are you doing?
What is that about the gay bar that you enjoy so much?
Yeah, I don't get it.
Okay.
Yeah, why are you going to other guys?
Like, is she not inviting you when she's going with it?
Like, if you're invited, you didn't want to go,
and then she went with the other guys.
Like, you're supposed to come.
I'm not going to hold my life for you.
I get that too.
And then there's the girls who just kind of are like a guy's girl.
All her friends are guy friends.
And that's just like who she usually hangs out with.
And you knew that when you started dating with her.
And you said at the beginning you're like, yeah, that's cool.
She hangs out with guys.
That usually means like she's cooler to hang her out with.
She's not as like girl or girl.
You'll tell yourself while you're trying to like get into the relationship.
Like, yeah, I can work with that.
But then as it happens and you go along the relationship and she's like,
I'm going to go out with Tony on Wednesday.
And me and Bruce and Josh are going to.
gonna hang out on Friday.
And then Anthony and his some friends are gonna like, uh, do a whole thing.
I'm going over to their place on Saturday.
And it's like, hold up.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
You drop like eight names on me right there that I'm not having a hard time even picking up.
Okay.
That has a lot of names to be dropped on.
How many guys do you actually need to be like continuing to go.
Let's be honest.
Let's be honest.
Let's be honest.
If a girl, this is a sign that she's giving him.
If a girl is still down to continue to hang out with multiple different groups of guys
or whatever she's doing, even if she's not being sexual with them,
the simple fact that when you're trying to get into a committed relationship
and then move on to having kids and marriage and everything like that,
it then needs to be a little bit more of it's me and you,
we're a team and everything we pretty much do.
In my opinion, there's some relationships that you go party,
and I go party my people, it's almost open to whatever.
She seems like if she's going to get a committed relationship,
if that's what she's already been giving off,
and this is what she's doing,
She's going to want to keep open relationships with many different men.
He seems like he's frustrated by it because he's putting it in a song that's stopping him from being like,
yo, I'm clearly not okay with you hanging out with other guys.
A song called, they're out of crossroad.
A song called, ooh, I think it's crazy.
Yeah?
And you're saying she is giving him a sign.
She's giving him a sign that it's just.
It's not the sign he wants.
It may not be how she likes relationships.
It may not be she's looking for the one-on-one, me and you let's take over the world.
She's looking at the, you're my companion.
We're bone at night when we're home after we shower and stuff.
But every once in a while, I'm going to go hang out with my group of guys.
You can do what you do.
And that's how we're going to run things.
Some relationships are like that.
I'm one that if I'm going to get a committed relationship, that's not how I'm looking at things.
We're teaming up.
We're doing this together.
All I'm saying is I need a partner and crying with it.
Some people don't mind the open relationship.
We're still parted with our friends.
You do you, I do me.
I think that's where they're splitting here.
He wants more of the one-on-one, me and you take over the world relationship.
And she's at the, I'm down to be your relationship.
but I'm partying.
Like, this is what I do.
That's where I think this is hog is at.
I think I think crossroads is that.
I agree with that.
And I think that the difference maker is,
if you're down with her to hang out with her friends,
the fact that it's like always a group of guys,
a little bit of red flag.
Not necessarily.
A little bit of red flag.
Pretty giant red flag.
Not necessarily because you don't trust her close guy friends
that you've met and you know
and you're like, yeah, that guy's cool.
It's because you always know there's some little lingering
homies that see her.
And they're like, oh, what's up with Charlotte?
There's always the home.
There's always the one that's trying to like toss something that way, you know?
And you never know when the vulnerability or something at that night.
And we try to trust, but you know what?
It's hard, ladies.
It's hard to know that.
Just recognize that.
That little mother fucking creeper is going to be there.
There's always the little creeper in the fun.
Waiting for that moment.
Waiting for that second.
Just to jump in.
Or not even waiting.
Maybe sometimes they just come right through with it.
And just like, yo, by the way.
Yeah.
I'm Jake.
I'm Jake.
Yo, I'm Jake.
Go, what's good, though.
What's good?
I gotta be honest
This beat is great
You know what else is great?
This guy's voice
It sounds
I gotta be honest
It keeps reminding me of like
It sounds like this
Whoever this band is
Mixed with Boy George
And George George
He does have
I was just thinking
That after you said that right now
He does have a twinge
Of Boy George in his voice
And that's a great voice
It's a strong like
Yeah
It's almost too much
Like it
You ever get a artist
That's just like
No you're trying too much
To be like this
Like it sounds too much like this
Like have a little twang
to yours like if you have a little hand just gonna give me your side i'm gonna just like country maybe
nah i'm gonna disagree because i feel like your voice is your voice if you sing a certain way
and that's what brings out your best vocal don't curb it to try to be like well i don't want to
sound like this guy i want to sound more this way like no that is your voice and you lead with that
when you're a singer sorry that other person took it the other person took it the other person took it
already yeah but you know what you went gold double platinum and you know what else that guy had he
He painted his whole body.
He dressed like a woman and everything.
You're a version of that voice that maybe some people that didn't want to wrap their arms around Boy George are more like, all right.
Well, you know what?
I like I like I feel like you're, are you just disrespecting Boy George Culture Club and the style that he represented?
Are you kidding me right now?
I am not disrespecting anybody.
I'm merely stating there's probably a lot of people that wanted to get behind Boy George.
based on his vocals,
especially we're talking about the 80s.
Let's not forget this, okay,
that then would see the look and be like,
I don't know if I want to, like,
be outwardly vocal about my fandom of Boy George, you know?
I got to be honest,
I was going to say yes,
because I agree.
This fucking style sucks.
What was that?
What were they doing in Boy George and Coles Club?
Have you ever seen Tumble for you in the videos?
Yeah, there's some weird stuff going on.
But you're right.
Okay, but beyond that, like I said,
the beat's good.
He's singing about some deep stuff.
It's connected to the last song we did during
Sol Decision week. Next chapter, connecting it to two
once again as only the dissect DJs can do.
It's just bringing you some new music.
So if you don't have Soul Decision on your playlist,
put these two on.
I gotta be honest, I didn't have it, but I got them now.
Put them on there, get them going.
We're going to finish the track out.
Let's give Soul Decision the rub, y'all.
Soul Decision, finish this out.
I like a Soul Decision.
You guys have grown on me.
That's what we do here.
the D.D. Factor. We find you some
artists that maybe y'all weren't fucking with
and you know what? You might have to fuck with now.
I think you do. But real
quick, in that song, and he was
at the end, he started talking about he doesn't want
somebody to cheat on him. This man was hurt.
Yeah. This man was hurt in his past.
He's got some demons. He's trying to overcome
and maybe that's getting in the way of this new
relationship. But I just would like to say
about that last ride-out. That shit
was the shit, y'all. I love that right out.
They have great guitar rift.
Great instrumentals in it.
And here's the funny thing.
I think the reason that it was perfect order that we went in is
Fated comes in hard.
It's a great jump on the beat kind of song.
And then when you want to talk about a good ride-out on the back-end song,
ooh, it's kind of crazy, gets it.
And I always love when I'm listening to it,
and I'm going to run, I'm a skate, whatever it is I'm doing,
and it hits that last ride-out.
It just puts you in a good place.
And I noticed this time, he keeps saying,
I've actually always noticed it,
But as we're going with the story, he keeps throwing in there at the very end.
I've had enough.
So I think what we come in the conclusion is, from the beginning of the story,
longtime friend, he's thinking it's about time.
Maybe we cross the line.
They do.
They start to date.
He gets into a little bit.
She realizes she had a lot of long time.
A lot of dude friends.
A lot of time friends.
A lot of, yes.
And they're all hanging out.
Yeah, exactly.
He gauges it hard.
He thinks it's kind of crazy.
But ultimately when it comes down to it, he's like, I've had enough. I'm out, actually.
It was a good experiment.
I'm glad we tried this.
It was worth an effort.
But you know what?
I'm not going to, like, go ahead and devote two to three years of what is going to probably
be a continual merry-go-round of just like heartbreak, chaos, stress, a lot of anxiety.
You know what?
I've had enough.
And the last word of the song is...
So we saw the beginning of him beginning to see the love of the first.
friendship that he had, crossed the line, told her he loved, was into it, as they tried to gain
a relationship.
He then realized that she had many relationships with many different men.
Maybe he was the only one sexual, maybe not, but he was definitely disconcerned with the many
different relationships she had.
He tried to let her know, she continued to go party, and you know what?
He had enough.
Do I got that right, Castle?
That's it.
Wow.
That's the story.
Dysack DJs in full motherfucking effect.
Did it again!
What we do, dissect.
D. D. D.J.
Well, rate this song, then.
How many slaps you giving it?
Slaps and snaps.
Oh, we gave a just short of five slaps.
I wanted to give it five slaps.
Four slaps and a snap.
Man, you know what?
I'm feeling instant regret.
Why?
I don't know.
I feel like you deserved five slaps.
I just only took out five slaps.
I don't think it's epic and never.
I only took it away from five slaps because I didn't want to give
all a Soul's Decision Week, five slaps.
But you know what?
I kind of feel like it deserves it.
Just because it's my crew.
We made a rule already that...
You go back on your shit all the time.
We made a rule.
Remember after that?
We were like, can't go back anymore.
I don't recall saying that.
I'll let it stand.
Because we never made that rule.
I just made that up just to try to stop you.
Oh, fuck it.
Oh.
Oh, it's super delayed five.
I snuck that fifth slap in there.
You did stick it.
You heard it.
You heard it.
I tried to stop them.
You listen to me and talk it over.
with myself, but, dude,
Sult Decision is my jam.
I love those two songs.
I have for years.
And they always put me in good moods.
Both actually, that song, low-key,
I've been playing Fated since I was in, like, high school.
Ooh, it's kind of crazy.
I more recently had joined the playlist in the last just several years,
so I'm more on that one now.
So I would be wrong for me to give Faded five slaps
and then not give it.
It's kind of crazy five slaps.
You both get five slaps.
Salt Decision Week.
Let's go.
All right.
I'm going with.
three claps bunch of snaps good song i i counted about 13 snaps a bunch of snaps good amount of snaps
just multiple snaps just great song so old decisions a great group they're in my play this from now on
why it's not a five it's not a classic nobody's heard of it they got they got to reach a whole other level
to reach a five and why it's not a four uh faded was just a little bit better now faded was just a little bit
better here's my counter to that play that very beginning not right now but play the very
beginning of that song when you're just like in the mood to hear a jam maybe you're feeling a little faded
solaceousine stuff and then you're just like i just want to hear a good opening beat the way this song
the way this song opens the beat comes in it's just like almost like you could see a light shining
as the clouds open up the sun shines through and you just realize i'm about to experience
something epic that's what i get from this song so go ahead and play
it then.
So it's a fucking epic beginning.
Yeah.
It's an epic beginning.
Go ahead and give another slap.
Give it another slap.
All right.
All right.
It gets another slap.
It gets another slap.
It gets more slaps for me.
We both gave it a delayed.
We gave it a delayed.
He gives it five.
I give it four.
He brought it to the table.
He introduced me to
so decision and I'm so proud of it.
You're welcome.
And we dissected the fact that
faded and what was the name of this one?
Ooh, it's kind of crazy.
Oh, it's kind of crazy.
Are connected.
Fated is the start of it.
Ooh, it's kind of crazy.
The end of it is the full relationship of this man and his friend.
It's amazing.
And the music video has them playing N64.
So anybody that grew up in our generation just has to appreciate that.
That's worth of the snap alone, I think.
I don't know.
One more shout out to my man's team for going ahead and throw on the request out for Soul Decision.
You're the only one that gets Soul Decision like me that I know.
Shut out.
I feel like Jay over here.
He's starting to get it.
He's coming along.
He's coming along.
I'm a fan.
When's your next concert, I'm coming.
We coming.
DICEG are coming.
Next!
