Thing I told you that I never would
I told you I changed
Even when I knew I never could
Know that I can't
Find nobody else as good as you
I need you to stay
I need you to stay
I get drunk
Wake up
I'm wasted still
I realize the time that I wake
You can feel the way out
If you can't be right
Yeah
I do the same thing I told you
Everybody
Who's the die sick
What's in the building?
What's going on, everybody?
It's your boy DJ MC.
Jack and your boy Castiti.
What up, Steve?
All right, so apparently this...
Wait, what do we do, though?
We are the DJs that like to us.
Mix it.
We're back and...
Dissected.
Don't fuck with us.
And we got to dissect some...
Hiddleroy.
And some Bieber.
Apparently, Justin Bieber also jumped on the track on this one.
because yeah i keep hearing this jam uh spinning around all the neighborhood you know so like we
gotta gotta get into it gotta get some of the lyrics some of the uh beats some of the everything
about this song stay with us as we uh dissect stay please can you stay i know that the instinct
as soon as we jumped on the track to be like oh we're dissecting this song and you were
expecting to just hear it has been like oh let's skip this track like we don't want to hear this
fuckers like dissect some shit but like you know what stay stay with us stay all right so this first
line repeats itself many times throughout the song so luckily the song repeats itself so we don't have to
go through the lyrics too much but out the gate it goes with i do the same thing i told you that i
never would i told you i'd changed even when i knew i never could know that i can't find nobody else
as good as you i need you to stay need you to stay hey all right what just happened all right so what i'm
hearing from that is he wants to just say whatever the hell he needs to do to keep her,
right?
So he's telling her things that she needs to hear and he wants her to hear, but he knows,
like, you know, it's not probably going to happen.
You want me to change.
This motherfucker's out here partying on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday and Monday.
And he's telling his girl, you know, I am, you know what?
I won't party on Saturday and Friday no more.
I won't do it.
And she's like, all right, well, if you do that, then I'll stay.
And he's like, that's what I'm talking about.
That's what I need.
I'm trying to commit to you.
I'm trying to show you different reasons as to why my ass is going to stay here.
And I'm trying to commit to you by showing you that Fridays and Saturdays are your days.
And what does he do the next weekend, Castle?
He starts partying on Wednesday.
He starts partying on fucking Wednesday.
Exactly.
And he just goes all the way through the week Sunday.
And maybe he like does it like to tell himself like, all right, if I start on Wednesday, then I'll like be burnt out by Friday.
And then I could take a break off on Saturday.
He's trying to plan ahead.
No, you fucking more.
But it just makes the turn of all the much more real.
Everybody just keeps one of the guy.
Like, yo, did you see that Wednesday and Thursday dirt up?
Let's give it going.
And also, there's this new jam called Stay that we all need to party to,
and you need to fucking get down with.
And, like, yeah, keep busing that shit out in the parties.
And then they're like, hey, JP, isn't there just a song?
Sing it.
Sing it, motherfucker.
And he's just got to keep it going.
Real quick.
Can we talk about the beat real quick?
Beat is good.
I love the beat.
The beat gets you by.
It kind of got like an 80s sort of like.
That 80s feel?
Like that,
Yeah, a little bit.
It feels like a beat that would like come in about an hour,
25 minutes into like an 80s like rom-com, you know?
Okay.
Like right in the guys just like hits that point.
Last 20 minutes.
Last 20 minutes.
I really got to like, I got to go for this and I got to like do make all these moves to
like, yeah.
And he's got to run around town.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And he's got to do this thing.
And he's got to like go talk to like the wedding stenographer.
And he's got to, like, talk about, like, what their thing is.
And then he goes to Burger King.
What the fuck?
Okay.
I don't know.
We're on different pages there.
But, like, yeah.
The point is, he's going to, like, different people that he's got to talk to.
I said wedding sonographer, which is definitely not a thing.
You know, it's combining a wedding with, like, a court documentary.
And either ways.
But it's, like, yeah, like, you can just imagine him running around town.
Like, somebody, like, that really needs to, like, make a change happen.
High energy beat.
Yeah.
So I appreciate it.
We haven't actually even addressed the song yet, which is something we've got to do sometimes.
So we are doing Kidleroy with Justin Bieber stay.
I thought we said that earlier.
You didn't say that shit.
We forget?
I think so.
Well, if we did do it earlier, you just got a double dose of what we're doing.
Like anybody needed us to remind them what song this is.
The song is everywhere now.
All right.
So with next verse, and this is what we were talking about.
This man, we were saying that he's doing a bunch of, he's partying from Wednesday through Sunday, if not even Monday, right?
And he clears it up.
this next sentence.
I get drunk.
Wake up.
I'm wasted still.
Stop.
Stop.
Castle.
If you're getting drunk
to the point
where the next morning
you wake up
and you're still wasted.
Now, I'm not going to say
you're not still buzzed
or slightly intoxicated
or even hung over
and have that feeling.
We've all had that.
But if you're still wasted,
you got fucked up last night.
Like, you were going there.
Fucked, fucked up.
On a Wednesday,
like you went hard.
Like you went Don Julio
mixed with a little bit of fucking Jim
Beam, top it off with a little bit
of Tito. Tito? That's why he's keeping it going though.
That's like the whole like hair of the dog.
It's like all right. You know it? That's why
it goes from Thursday to Sunday.
Because this motherfucker just drinks, wakes up
and he's still wasted. And he's just like, do I got
something else important to do today or should
I just like keep feeling this vibe?
Well then he realizes right away. He realized the time that I wasted
here.
I feel like you can't feel the way I feel.
Oh, I'll be fucked up if you ever can't be right.
He says if you can't be right here.
He'll be fucked up if she can't be right here.
Well, my man.
Strange threat.
Strange threat.
Yeah, you're almost saying like I'll kill myself if like you leave me.
Well, don't be a bitch.
How about you stop being a bitch traditionally?
I'm going to keep drinking myself into an oblivion.
If you leave me.
So.
Which, okay.
I gotta be honest
You already said you're not gonna change earlier
If there's any girls listening
Who that last line kind of like brings
Familiarity of
Get the fuck out of that
Get the fuck out of that
You're listening to the DSEC DJs
And we're telling you right now
We're gonna be your psychiatrists
And if your man is telling you
No I'm gonna get better
Still is drinking
Wakes up wasted
And then says like
If you don't come here right now
I'm gonna get even more fucked up
Get the fuck out
Yeah, I'm out.
I'm out.
I'm out.
I'm out.
I'm out.
I'm out.
I'm fucking up.
I'll be fucked up if you can be right here.
Oh, whoa.
This man,
this man is a drunk that's lying to his woman about him wanting to change.
And if he doesn't change, he's just going to get more fucked up.
Whoever the fuck this is.
Kind of an easy out.
This is a bad relationship.
Get the fucking out of this.
Are you kidding?
There's a song sometimes about like a relationship kind of on the rocks or like a broken something or other where it's like,
Oh, man, like this sounds like, I don't know what you're supposed to do.
It's on the fence.
This is easy.
You can go one way or the other.
This is, are you fucking kidding me?
This is second grade and math easy.
This is 8 plus 6 equals 14.
Yeah.
4 plus 4?
Yeah.
Get the fuck out.
How about that?
All right?
Reggie, we're going to call this guy, Reggie is fucking up your life.
And Reggie needs to go.
All right.
Well, let's see what the Leroy kids.
or Kid LaRoy has for us in the next verse because maybe he redeems himself.
Hopes are not high, but let's hear what he's got.
All right?
I'm giving you another chance, kid.
Hit it, Steve.
That's it.
Honestly, don't beat.
Actually has a great dance feel to it.
But the meaning behind this fucking song, are you kidding me, dude?
You are doing nothing to give your part to this relationship.
He is literally saying, I'm lying to you about me fixing myself.
I'm going to be shit if you leave.
Like I get drunk, wake up, I'm wasted still.
Wasted still.
I told you I changed even though I never would.
know that I can't find nobody else as good as you.
Give me you a compliment and realizing that nobody in this world is better than you,
but he's still fucking going to drink on Wednesday.
Like this guy is fucked up.
This is a fucked up, but whoever wrote this.
Oh yeah, now the words of the song are very much that of the,
I'm going to tell you what I need to tell you to keep you here.
To keep you to stay.
I'm kind of a train wreck and I'm into that, so I'm going to keep it that way.
Watch out for drinkers.
Watch out for these drinkers.
I'm going to let you ride you along the train tracks.
As long as you're going to ride him for
And I'm going to do it.
Did I do?
And I'm going to do me.
True, true.
Get off the fucking train, Melissa.
He does say, though.
Leave Reggie alone, Melissa, and get off the train
because this man is drinking himself
and he ain't going to change,
even though he said he was going to.
That's the couple name of Melissa that you're like.
That's the couple's name of this.
Okay.
Is that like a wedding and you DJ?
No, I mean, that would be ironic.
I don't know.
I wouldn't want to.
That would be a terrible thing.
No, it has nothing to do with any of my couples that I DJ.
All my couples are happily married and very happy.
All right, well, the Bieber verse gets into a little bit more of a serious tone that I feel like should be addressed while we're doing it.
Okay.
He says, you're the reason I believe in love after he says I miss your touch.
It's been difficult for me to trust and I'm afraid then I'm going to fuck it up.
Ain't a way that I can leave you stranded because you,
ain't never left me empty-handed and you know that i know that i can't live without you so baby stay
so to me that was the whole him saying something to keep her to stay like you were saying earlier
say what you need to but at the same time i also get a vibe of that where it's like a person who
is inherently like sort of a fuck-up who just like i don't know how to actually fix myself
but the main thing that I want to make sure I do is not fuck up what I have with you.
That's kind of what I get from that.
Because that's the one thing that he has going that works.
You know what I mean?
Can I get deep here real quick?
I'm getting deep with that.
That was, but this is my dad.
Oh, shit.
I didn't realize you can get that deep, dude.
No, run with it.
Run with it.
If you're down, if you're down.
You don't need to.
You don't need to.
But, like, you want to run with it.
Oh, man.
I told you I was getting deep.
Yeah, no.
That's it.
That's all I didn't talk about.
I think that was the perfect little,
okay.
You know?
Yeah.
That is exactly the...
No, but I actually do think that that verse right there speaks to something that a lot of people probably have dealt with.
People that deal with alcoholism, people that maybe deal with, like, some kind of, you know, addiction.
And it's like, yo, working on me is a little bit harder for me to deal with, but working on you is a priority.
and that's actually what I want to make sure
that's my number one priority
and maybe that will then lead to them
me fixing me, you know?
That's kind of what I feel like
that I got from that, you know?
Are you crying?
Are you crying right now?
Okay.
Oh, okay.
Oh, okay.
How many claps?
How many claps?
You made this episode
going on a comfortable direction
and we get it.
It's a Justin Bieber song.
It's a Justin Bieber song, okay?
can you pull yourself together
we're not going to let of Justin Bieber's song
I'm okay
I don't really know where this episode is gone
honestly trying to steer it in the right direction
but okay
Justin
Justin literally just lugied all over his laptop
laptop yeah he just like onto the keypads
you might want to clean that before it's fine
it's fine dude it's not
how many slaps it's
snaps, bro.
Give it to me.
Did I give,
what is this song called again?
Stay.
There was two slaps.
Oh,
that was two slaps.
A slight third slap.
I think it was three slaps.
It was a weak third slap, though.
The third slap was like,
two slaps, a week, third slap.
And then two steps,
put a second one.
I just want to let her know.
The delayed second snap as I was doing it,
Justin was looking at my hand as I was bringing it
towards the microphone with a one eye,
Browry is like, really?
Are you going for another step?
Are you really going to?
I definitely intrigued.
But that's the thing.
Okay, that's a great point.
This song intrigues me because, like, on the surface, it is just kind of like an upbeat,
like modern song.
They're just kind of like, oh, it's just like the latest Bieber song that, like, people
like.
And, like, I like the fact that it has sort of this old-school 80s sound to it.
And so that alone gives it like two and a half slaps to me.
Then when you kind of listen to it, I actually think it is sort of a message that can
kind of provide something to a lot of people that are actually going through some legit
shit that they want to listen to it and they want to actually like consider like what it
can do for them.
I'm not saying that it provides answers or responses, but I think it does touch home
into like people that are like dealing with things that are beyond their control to be able to
or they they perceive as they're beyond their control and the one thing that actually like they feel
like it is within their control that they need is the relationship so i do respect that part of it
that's where the second snap came from and that's where the third slap came from the first snap
that was hey that was pure magic okay just just happened that way i can't i can't explain
any other way than that.
But that's where I'm going to stay.
I love you, Dad.
You just really give the same answer as me again?
Yeah, but I added a really depressing.
A weird maniacal cry laugh at the beginning.
Why does it feel like every time I go first,
you just do the same thing as me?
And you try to give it an explanation.
That's not true.
It's fine.
I don't care.
It doesn't matter.
This song doesn't matter enough for me to actually like...
We don't need to stay on this song.
longer longer. Yeah, we don't. Okay, let's get on to something else at Jim, right?
A little more uplifting, a little more levitating. Yeah, although this one had the
energy of it. It just, like, was about more of a... I know, but I'm trying to, like, segue
into our Nix. Oh, should we levitate? Let's levitate. Nix!
