BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. What on, everybody? It's your boy, DJ MC Jag, and today I am Bonie M. I'm with your boy, DJ, Steve, where are you at, baby? And this is officially the first episode of our 170-plus venture where I feel like I'm just a spectator
Starting point is 00:03:30 and I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the show because holy shit did DJ Jag bring it today. I'm going to say right off the top that you're going to want to watch the YouTube episode of this because full costumed up, full attempting to battle the people on screen. We got DJ Jag over here. And that is, of course, because we are the DJs.
Starting point is 00:03:53 I'd like to spin it, mix it, throw it back, and dissect it. And ladies and gentlemen, this is, This is a DJ Jag Passion Project And I'm gonna let him have the floor About three years ago I fell in love with a man Now I know that's weird to say
Starting point is 00:04:11 Especially with I have a girlfriend of five years And I am heterosexual I fell in love with a man Why? On Instagram A guy was dancing Like I've never seen before A guy was showing what true freedom While you're dancing is all about
Starting point is 00:04:27 And I realized his name And Boney M. Now, I've been DJ in 20 years. I thought I knew my disco. I thought I knew. But for somehow, some way, and you've said this before, it's amazing how music can, you can miss it. You miss a whole genre. And Boney M. How did it? And Boney M was one of the most popular bands from 1976 to 1980.
Starting point is 00:04:50 They lasted 10 years to 86, but their last six years were, you know, they fell off. But, 976, 1980, Boney M in the U.K. was damn near number one. every year. And I had to just bring this episode, dress the best I could like Boney M, but also prove that I'm better than Boney M, okay? I got this man beat. I'm going to show you today, Castle. He's good. But I'm better. All right. All right. At this point for the listening audience, I feel it's important that I let you know that right now DJ Jag is wearing full Boney M. cosplay with a Zeus Baird. Rasputin.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Rasputin beard. There you go. A full on Afro. Boni M. Afro. And a Superman cape. It's not Superman. It's not super. This is just a red cape. It's just a red cape. I didn't have anything else. Because that's what Boni M is wearing in this video. Which again, you're going to need to see the video of this. Guys, I'm going to be battling him.
Starting point is 00:05:48 There's a video behind me. It's also going to be Castle. Zoob doing me, then him, in certain parts of this episode. You're going to want to see this episode. It's going to put some work on the editor. But I've been practicing my moves to battle Boney M for, I think. He really did. Like, he came in. Like, as he was doing it, I was like,
Starting point is 00:06:06 you're actually nailing the exact moves that he's doing. You've been putting time in on the choreo effect. Every shower for the last month and a half. He's watched this guy closely. I've fallen three times. Very hard. And I had a flag football game the next day. You know what?
Starting point is 00:06:23 I didn't care. I came for you, Bonie. All right, so let me try to like a strange some backstory on who this group is because right now we have Right, before you do Lusting and his hunger for power became known to more and more people The demands to do something about this outrageous man became louder and louder You know what there's some times where you got to appreciate what life brings you whether it be a best friend or a podcast, a scenario that brings things together.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Or all three of those. All the things that, like, put you in a position where you're like, I just didn't even enjoying the show. I love that what my viewing pleasure is experiencing right now is this. By the way, you look fantastic too. I like your glasses, the disco chain. Yes. That's pure gold, by the way, guys.
Starting point is 00:07:42 I had to come a little discoed out because you were going full out. So I was like, I got to meet you at least halfway. So I'm, I'm. Oh, you, yeah, you black eyed peas did for sure. I kind of got like a disco producer who might dabble in porn directing in like 1977. Oh, And you've already, You wrote the contract all for you too.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Like this is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you're like, Just sign it, baby. You're good. Yeah, No, you'll be a star,
Starting point is 00:08:08 you know. And I know I'm dicking you over in the end, you know. I have so much hair going through on that. On camera and off. Yeah. I know, dude.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I don't know how you do it. He gave me a fake mustache to wear and I was like, I'm not going to be able to talk in that. So I let the. fake mustache go but I'm good this is a fun experience what were you about to get into though you had some good
Starting point is 00:08:27 stuff but I you're sorry I had to break it down with I wasn't expecting that part of the song which kind of sucks because it was just some guy talking about like and then Rasputin lived forever and it was do that anytime you need to if you ever feel like I need I'm talking yes two seconds too long
Starting point is 00:08:43 jump in there put the music back on and jump in and just in case you're missing the video Justin every single time the music plays is jumping up and doing full cosplay dance. Badly against... You must see the video. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:08:57 If there was ever an episode that you needed to check out the YouTube channel at Wright Castle, dissect DJs, check us out. By the way, did you know? I'm just going to get into this right here, because this is crazy. Rasputin was actually a famous 1900s... He was a Russian. Yeah, he was a Russian, and he, you know, he did some fun things, but he didn't do what I do. I don't get on the headphones.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Hey, don't break anything. I'll be impressed if we could get through this episode without breaking any equipment with all the movement you're doing right now. We'll be fine. All right. So for those of you that might be completely in the dark, I'm certain that you have seen Boni M on like pop up. They've been popping up on like Instagram reels and like TikTok in the last few years because they're this group that's like three women that sing. And then they have this insane maniac that's just there to do outrageous dance moves on the side. And I've seen one of the popular memes I've seen with them is,
Starting point is 00:10:22 all right, you can start a band, but you have to bring your brother with you. That's one of the go-toes I've seen with him. And that's the guy that Justin is putting his all into monoccurring right now. Do you guys see where he's wearing this behind? Show him on the video, too, if you can. Which part? Him with a beard. That's where it comes from.
Starting point is 00:10:42 All right, so that's why he has a Zeus beard, because this guy randomly shows up with a beard in this one. So just so you know, that's where I got this from. All right. You told me that you did some research into what this group is. Explain like who they are. Okay. Boni Am is a put together group in 1976 with three women didn't really give me the information that they were from because I was focused on Mr. Bobby Farrell?
Starting point is 00:11:05 Farrell. I'm going to say F-A-R-R-E-L-L-Farrell. Bobby Farrell. Because you're the truth. Yeah, exactly. And he was a DJ. Hey, wonder why I like him so much. He was a DJ prior to it.
Starting point is 00:11:17 They found him. They saw him dancing behind the DJ booth, and they were like, yo, we got a group for you. You're going to lead something. He was like, I don't sing or talk, though. They were like, we got you. So when they made Boney M, all the guys that you see where it's supposed to be him
Starting point is 00:11:30 or it's a male singer or talker, because he really doesn't sing, it's never him. That's a backtrack. He didn't start doing his own tracks for Boney M until like 1982, and they were already way past their due. So all this stuff is some other. producer. Now that pissed me out.
Starting point is 00:11:47 I was hoping he'd be... It's not like they're singing, though. The guy's like... There was a certain man in Russia long ago. That's all... But why can he just say that? He has to lip sync that shit? He has to lip sync that, yeah, every time. So the only thing he brings to the group is these fucking robotic, awkward dance
Starting point is 00:12:03 moves. Robotic? They're fluid. They're fantastic. What is wrong with you? It looks like he's got like about with hives at the same time. Like, there's like some fire ants like at his pants. I disagree. And those people saw him doing that behind the DJ booth and they were like, that's our guy. We need
Starting point is 00:12:19 this guy on our team and he needs to be the superstar and you know what? Because of that, we're still talking about him to those days. So maybe they were right to do it. Yeah, the voice was Frank Farron who was one of the, basically you in this situation. He was the guy that wrote the contract and then worked him for all their money until about
Starting point is 00:12:35 1981. And then he finally was like, fine, you guys can have the name. But before that he was the, you know, so it's basically the same thing that happened in Millie Vanilla. I'm looking at Mr. G. G.P.T. over here. He's telling me some additional facts that I wasn't unaware of. He's my homie. So Bobby Farrell, guys.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I fell in love with him. You've seen him. Castle, there's another thing. There's another, I know we went through that one, which is about a Russian random Russian group, but there's one song that you and I went to college with. Do you remember by chance the song Barbara Streisand? Do you remember this song? Who can forget? Duck sauce, baby.
Starting point is 00:13:09 How do you know? Just give me the beat. Go. Boo-woo. How's it start, though? Let's start. It goes, Barber Strisand. Go. Yeah, yeah, you got it. You got it.
Starting point is 00:13:21 So check this out. That's a Boney M. Jim. Let me show you. Let me show you right now. I'm going to turn this show up. Let's hear it. Did you hear it, Steve?
Starting point is 00:14:17 Are you kidding me? That's the exact same song. Is that not the exact same song? Min's the Barbera Streisand. So that's all they added in that song? Dude, want to hear this shit? Listen to this shit. You're going to play the Barber Shrizen version?
Starting point is 00:14:29 Watch this. Yeah. Let them all. know. All they added was Barbara Streisand. That's all they added, Steve. There's a little bit more
Starting point is 00:14:53 of a pronounced bass. Yeah, yeah. It's a house base of now. Yeah, yeah. But get out of here. Everything else was taken. It's crazy. I've talked about this
Starting point is 00:15:00 so many times before, but every time I hear it, it's worth bringing it up again. The way that music, it gives you songs that you didn't know existed ever before. I literally just brought it up
Starting point is 00:15:12 on one of most recent episodes when I talked about how, which one was that? Barber Strife. saying oh when we did the uh what top uh hot girl songs of 2026 and somebody redid uh i can't wait and i was like that's something that's been happening for years we had a bunch of songs we're growing up or we didn't know what the original song was until we were much older and they were like oh shit that song was always existing in the 70s and then we never even knew it there you go there it is for you
Starting point is 00:15:40 even though we knew that song had like sort of a 70s vibe to it it was the exact same song Doug sauce just took it and just added, Barberstri-Sat. I cannot tell you how much. Justin's like jagged movements and like his robotic, like he's really embodying this Boney M guy. Like I've fucking loved me. Starting point is 00:17:45 BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. I love it, dude. And, yeah, you just, as we were taking a break fixing, getting our cameras adjusted, I just, I told him, I said, God, I love this. I love this Three girls dancing and enjoying themselves And then the guy You gotta go hard though
Starting point is 00:18:06 This guy Bobby you gotta go hard This guy puts in heavy work Look at him go Look at him go Like he's jogging in place He does not take a moment off But that's why I say
Starting point is 00:18:17 I think this is just like They would go to clubs Do a quick three minute performance And as all you just got He's had to go hard for three minutes Nights paid for He's making his money And then he just had to
Starting point is 00:18:26 Oh Look at this little like That was my favorite move that he's done right there. He kind of does, he did like a, it was like, it was like a robot penguin.
Starting point is 00:18:36 It was moved up and then he did like a little like a spin move. Look at him. The combination he has of making like a cool move work with also at the same time looking like he has zero like game plan as like what the next step is. Like it reminds me of when we've seen like people that we know like get like really fucked up on the dance floor that just think they're killing it. And they're just like in there. they're not used to dancing and they're just like,
Starting point is 00:19:01 they don't know what the next step is and they're just kind of like, uh, doing this one now as long as I have a fun, it's trippy, it looks good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they got to be smiling and enjoying it.
Starting point is 00:19:11 As long as it's it's like, he's killing it. Yeah, like he's doing his thing. You got to appreciate the confidence and the commitment to the execution, you know? Absolutely. Now, I had many jams.
Starting point is 00:19:22 We had many more jams. I'm referring to me as Boneyham, of course. We had many more james. For this episode, he is, Bonie J. Bonie J, A, G, whatever.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Although I've had many, yeah, whatever, I had many hits other than these three. I had to narrow it down to these three. Now, you've heard Rasputin, you've heard, got to go home. My final track I want to introduce to all of you is very simply the song that put us on the map. In 1977, this song, Daddy Cool,
Starting point is 00:19:55 was one of our main hits, and we did it on a new television program, And from that point for the next two months, we were the number one group. The coolness with which you stop your erratic dancing to then sitting down and like hitting like the button to like mix out. And you'll hit like a transition out like, nah, no, all right, let's talk about it. It's my favorite. There's a lot of things that are my favorite of this episode. That's one of them.
Starting point is 00:21:17 But the other one is definitely like your motions. The way you embody this guy. Look at this guy. Look at this guy. I'm telling you, Steve. You've seen him, like you said, the brother. I was like, I was beyond like, that's funny. I was like, wait, who is that?
Starting point is 00:21:31 Who is this man? Who is this man? Free that is one with himself and able to just go. Mr. Boni M. Mr. Bobby Farrell. Is he the reason that they're Boni M? Do we know that? Do we have any reason? So they were coming up with a group in 1976,
Starting point is 00:21:46 and they just were, the name of the group was going to be Boni M. And then he ended up, it was really the group, but he ended up, people thought he was Boni M. because of like the guy taking over and yeah you would think that right so I mean let's be honest the other three girls are all just kind of like faceless background dancers
Starting point is 00:22:03 singers at this point even though they're actually the ones that are making all the music happen like that's stop you for a second that was a good time out that was good that was good a reason to inject dance into any conversation
Starting point is 00:22:53 I've ever been a part of and you should do it again it stopped the music stops Oh wait, it's back on. I don't know. He took off his headphones. Wait, it's playing in different speeds and it stopped again. It's not playing.
Starting point is 00:23:23 There's no music. There's no music. Listen to your headphones a little bit. That's the problem with you throwing your headphones. I don't know, dude. It stopped. Would you hit a button? All right, dude, so I've shown you.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Brought Boney M to your... I like to think that we've made an enormous step and handshake from the 70s to now in which we took what has been just a meme to modern day pop culture where they see this funny group dance in 30 second tidbits where they're like, what is this guy on? Look at this guy go. And we've done a little bit of educating as much as we could. Apparently the reason they're named Boney M is because they decided that's going to
Starting point is 00:24:38 to be their name. And the reason they got Boney M. Dude in there is because they saw him DJing and they're like, look at that dude's coked out erratic, robotic movements. I think he wasn't. We need that guy on our team. I'm not doing that and I'm killing it. I can see why he wasn't, why he wouldn't be on. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:24:55 He has the dance moves of somebody that's like maybe taken a pill or something that they were like, whoa, I wasn't expecting this much, but now it's taken over me and now I'm just like, but it's also incredibly possible. that that's just how this guy dances. Like, I don't want to judge whatever there. The fact is it is the reason that we still remember this group. And it's probably, it was a good move to bring him in because the music was good. And this girl group, just being like a trio of girls singing a good song, it would have got lost in the shuffle.
Starting point is 00:25:28 But bringing this crazy dude on stage and like only am, although the music was good, right? That's what I'm saying. I just said that. The music was good. And it just brought it home. Bringing this guy on stage is the reason that actually they became like a spectacle look at and we still talk about him to this day. What was his name Bobby? Bobby Farrell.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Bobby Farrell. I hope I'm saying it correctly. F-A-R-R-E-L-Farrel. What is Bobby Farrell doing today? Bobby Farrell unfortunately passed in 2010 due to a heart failure while he was in St. Petersburg, Russia. So he really took that whole Rasputin thing to like the next level. Man, he went, he went to the place. He lived the gimmick.
Starting point is 00:26:09 He was like, I got to experience. And he was, unfortunately, he was saying that he had, he was short of breath from the previous performance, and that rarely happened to him because he had been doing it ever so long, but they were like, oh, okay, we better get some rest. And that night, his heart was, whew- The visual of our logo popping up in front of this guy as he dances is one of my favorite things in this show's history.
Starting point is 00:26:33 He finally came to it, man. Like, this is what the DICEK DJs were always, It's a peak. The immediate stops. Usually Justin likes to have his, like, transitions out. But, like, I, for one, appreciate the immediate stops as he immediately goes back to trying to sit down and, like, readjust all his gear and put the headphones back on. Don't forget I'm Boniam. Again, if you're not watching, every time he drops the music back in, he stands up and does his Bonium dance moves.
Starting point is 00:27:15 And it's a must watch. I cannot stress that enough. So how do we, what do we? I want you to rate. Boney M. Slaps and snaps on the songs you've heard and the lead dancer that you just saw. Give me your slaps and snaps. Out of five slaps.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Boney M receives. If I go to five, will you get up and do a 15 second straight of Boney M activity? Castle. It would be an honor. Dare I even ask where you stand in the slap meter with Boney M? I have to because I have to. That's what we do.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I mean, Castle, did you really have to question? I told you, I fell in love with this man. Turn off our logo for a second. Look at him. Look at this guy. Bobby. Bobby Farrell. He's coming in a room.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Look at that. Look at that. Look at that. So how many slaps? How many slaps? First ever six slapper gave it to it. Bound, pown. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Drop the beat!
