Season 13 of Dysect begins on Tuesday, February 4th, and we're dissecting Kendrick Lamar's
Mr. Moral and The Big Stepers. Yeah, I made you wait long enough, so I figured I'd just come out and say it.
Hi everyone, Cole here, and I'm very excited to finally bring you what might be the most
challenging and rewarding season of Dysect yet, an 18-episode exploration of Kendrick
Lamar's most complex and misunderstood album to date. And if some of you on Spotify might
have already noticed, Dysect is now a video podcast. Yes, this is what I look like,
No, it's never what you expect, sorry.
But I'm very excited to add this visual element to the show.
As well as seeing me here in my beautiful closet,
I'll also have visual elements like song lyrics sync to the music excerpts,
photos when referencing people, places, and things,
and a bunch of other cool stuff.
Importantly, though, dissect is still an audio-first experience,
meaning I made it a point not to change anything about the show's format.
So if you prefer just listening,
the experience will be the exact same as past seasons.
But what I hope the show now provides is a more dynamic experience.
Listen, watch, or a bit of both, dipping in and out of video when you feel like it.
The video version of Dissect will be available on Spotify and now YouTube, and audio only everywhere else.
All right, I'll see you guys on Tuesday, February 4th for Season 13 on Kendrick Amars, Mr. Morrell, and the Big Steppers.
