Hey folks, Jack here from Disseminate with a quick announcement.
I'm really excited to be able to tell you all today that we have a new series coming soon.
For long-term listeners since the inception of the podcast,
you'll know that we are focused on recently published work from a variety of conferences.
But inspired by a blog post titled The most influential database papers by ryan marcus
we are going to do a series on exactly that the series will feature interviews with the authors
of some of the most impactful work in the field of databases over the years we'll talk about the
story behind some of their most impactful work getting them to reflect on the impact it's had
over the years as well as getting their take on current trends in the field. The series will be titled the High Impact Series and will be
differentiated from the normal Cutting Edge episode with a nice new shiny gold logo you can
probably see in your podcast feed now. And yes, don't worry, we'll still be making the Cutting
Edge episodes as well, so stay tuned and keep looking at your podcast feeds for those.
I'm also really excited
to say that we have a sponsor along for the ride with us and that sponsor is palm tree
palm tree are the developers behind raftery the open source temporal graph analytics engine for
python and rust raftery supports time traveling multi-layer modeling and comes out of the box
with advanced analytics like community evolution, dynamic scoring,
and temporal motifs mining.
It's blazingly fast, scales to hundreds of millions of edges
on your laptop, and connects directly to all your data science tooling,
including Pandas, PyG, and Langchain.
So go and check out what the Pomtree guys are doing
at www.raftree.com, where you can dive into their tutorial
for their new 0.80 release.
We're going to kick the high impact series off by talking to Ryan Marcus himself so stay tuned
for that and keep checking new podcast feeds for that and we'll see you all next time for
some more awesome computer science research. you
