Good evening, gentle listeners, all watchers, and welcome to Distractable. This episode, Beaver Loving Bob takes the lads to task over their own hometown. Woeful Wade gives bad news, dies, slap someone, talks turds and toilets, but knows his arts and towers. Multinostraled Mark doesn't know Sonny, but succeeds in slang.
Starting point is 00:01:40 From automobile events to Unhumbled Humble. Ha ha ha ha ha's. It's time for Cincinnati Gypidy. Now sit back and prepare to be distracted. and enjoy the show. Hello and welcome back to another episode of Distractable, the last podcasts you see before your car goes tumbling into the ravine. That's right.
Starting point is 00:02:08 This is the podcast that causes you to wreck your vehicle. Allegedly. I mean, we don't cause it on purpose, but facts are facts, man. I'm your host. My name is Bob. I am hosting because I won last week. I'm joined, as always, by the two competitors for today's episode, who will be competing to host the next one. And of course, that would be Mark and Wade.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Ooh, yeah, yeah. You ever seen a three-headed grim reaper? Three-headed, three-sived grim reaper. That's distractible. Not the head on his shoulders. Huh? Nothing. A three-headed, three-penest, three-sived grim reaper?
Starting point is 00:02:44 Remember, watch out. Two arms, two legs, three heads, three other heads. Two belly buttons for some reason. They each have their own little cloak as well. Yeah, yeah. Just two, yeah, two belly buttons. You got to balance it out somewhere. It's one nose.
Starting point is 00:02:56 but six nostrils. Ooh. You'd hate that. Why would I hate that? Isn't that the holes? That's not enough holes. That's not enough holes. How many holes does that have to be?
Starting point is 00:03:06 More than six for sure. I've never, never counted. If we're going to show Mark increasingly more holes, please like, oh, that one. Oh, one. One, two, three, four, five, six. You think you have that phobia
Starting point is 00:03:18 and you go into like your therapist's office. They show you a video where it's just like, one, two, and the doctor's just like, eight it's eight for you you look scared at seven but eight definitely did it uh there's something something i'm gonna host a
Starting point is 00:03:34 small talk let's do small talk i was immediately gonna just jump into the thing but this time i have breaking sad news the distractible mascot is being removed uh bucky's decided that it was too close to their logo and we can no longer have the distractible mascot this is probably satire unless i didn't even know we had a mascot now that you've put that out there We're definitely got a cease and desist email coming our way. What would be our mascot, would have been our mascot? We drew it. Oh, the fridge.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Uh, yeah, didn't we draw it collectively? The fridge with the shards of glass? That's it. Yeah, that is very beaver-esque. You shut your mouth right now. You're lying. I would never lie to you, man. I'm a...
Starting point is 00:04:17 Oh, I'll do it again. I would never lie to you, man. Slap yourself. Oh. Damn, that was allowed. Ooh, that's a good one. That wouldn't hurt a little, yeah. It's a tortoise in the hair for this episode.
Starting point is 00:04:29 All my funny is going to be spread out. Mark's the hair. Yeah. Wait, no, no, I'm the tortoise. You can't make Wade be there. That's so rude. No, but my analogy doesn't work the other way around. It does if you keep losing.
Starting point is 00:04:41 If it's the tortoise and the webbit. Okay, that makes more sense, yeah. I don't have a carrot. I don't know what else rabbits do other than have carrots and fuck. That's it. Those are the two rabbit things. The comprehensive list. This is completely unreal.
Starting point is 00:04:55 You know how like, so I used to have a rabbit And like whenever rabbits run, They just kind of like poop as they run So they leave like little trails, little poops. I went to check the mail and right across the driveway. It wasn't a rabbit, but it was a deer that had done the same thing. There was just the trail of turds.
Starting point is 00:05:10 It was really gross. Deer turds are a whole other scale than rabbit turds though. Yeah, but the way they plop in like the little pattern I was like, this reminds me of my rabbit, but like on steroids. I can see the connection. My news, Buckees and. deer poop. Got anything else going on?
Starting point is 00:05:25 You want to talk about or is that pretty much cover it? You know, rabbits? Anyway, there was this deer. You know pigs, right? Anyway. No, man. The last week we've spent doing like, you know how you keep a house clean.
Starting point is 00:05:39 You have to go clean rooms and stuff. But like every now you do the deep clean where like you go extra above and beyond to like get every milk and cranny. We've been doing the deep clean. And I spent five hours cleaning bathrooms yesterday, like five hours straight. and Molly has like little makeup kit things where it's like you know different brushes and cases of makeup and stuff
Starting point is 00:05:57 I went and I took each piece out and individually dusted and cleaned it and then I cleaned each holder and stuff and then went through and cleaned the light fixtures and literally everything else and I'm so sore the bottom I've never had the bottom of my feet hurt so bad I guess I should have worn like some kind of shoes or something while doing it you gotta wear your house shoes man yeah I didn't I was just barefoot on tile and uh I'm feeling it today I'm feeling it That's it. I cleaned bathrooms. That's been my life for the last week. I don't know how, but somehow for me, that deep deep cleaning is on some level it's like really relaxing because you just sort of like zone out and get really into doing. But also on a higher level, it's like my fucking nightmare because I'm, I'm terrible at like being careful and paying attention when also I'm zoned out doing the same thing over and over and over again. And I'll just like not clean a whole, I don't know, like I'll be in the bathroom and then not clean the mirror.
Starting point is 00:06:51 and then come out and be like, bathroom's done and Mandy looks in and it's like, fuck it's not. Try again. For me, it's different. I start off and I'm really focused and I'm like putting all this effort in. But like just like with games and other stuff, like I'll get like three quarters of the way done. And then all of a sudden my brain's like, all right, we need to be. I'm done.
Starting point is 00:07:07 I'm done. We're done. We're done. We got to speed along. And I've like forced myself to finish. I don't know. I'm like that with games too. I'll play a video game like nonstop for like a week.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And then I'll get almost through the game. And I'm like, all right. Well, can't launch that game ever again. Time to move on to something else. I don't know what that is, but I have that where it's just like, I've thoroughly cleaned 90% of this bathroom, just a little bit left. Couldn't possibly no, please, they'll make me finish. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:33 A weird pick of not wanting to finish things, but it's done. I did it. Good job. I have some jokes for that. I'm not going to say them. You hate points, felt you? Yeah, you could get points. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:07:44 It would be crass, and I'm not crass. Oh. I'm not going to do it. I am. I cleaned poop all week. and then I walked across poop on the driveway. I've got poop everywhere. Not my own, well, unless.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And then the cat, dude, I kick, so I ran out to grab food before we start recording, as you guys know. Coming back down the stairs, our cat pooped on the stairs again. I almost stepped it on the way to my office, so I had to clean that up. Yeah, but he's old. Yeah, that's understandable. He always does it right in my path. I think it's intentional.
Starting point is 00:08:10 I think he hates me. Isn't that just how cats are? Don't they generally kind of hate you, even if they like you? They also hate you? I hear, I think a lot of other cats do this, but he also is a thing will he'll cut you off when you're going
Starting point is 00:08:21 up or downstairs specifically like he's trying to trip you. Lexi does that but I think she's just tiny dog who has no spatial awareness because she's mostly deaf
Starting point is 00:08:30 and going blind slowly. I think his is intentional because he was holding a knife while he did it. Interesting. That's a strong sign. In the mouth or duct tape to the paws?
Starting point is 00:08:40 Nah, the hand. The hand. Sticking straight out of his butthole behind him for safety. Where his hand is, yeah. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Haven't had a cat in a while. the butt hand his human hand an awful image all of these have been awful images yeah that's that crossed the line though man come on I sure hope this small talk gets animated oh I'm sure it will
Starting point is 00:09:03 anyway good small talk Mark really did share a lot of the points with weight on that one but sometimes you're the generous one you know so that's okay that's me that's what they call me anyway guys I have a game for you today that I am tentatively calling easy
Starting point is 00:09:20 Jeopardy Uh-oh No wait I got bad vibes This is a thing that a person online made On the website Jeopardy Labs.com It's just trivia
Starting point is 00:09:31 It's just Jeopardy It's a place where you can go And make your own Jeopardy games This one is called Cincinnati Jeopardy Oh come on. It's so unfair I haven't been there in years
Starting point is 00:09:42 I don't even remember that city It's okay Mark I don't know much about my own town anyway either So I'm fucked It's fine. It's fine. There's only 12 questions. Remember when we were like talking about all the incredible things about Cincinnati? Come here and we didn't even hit like half of the things at Cincinnati.
Starting point is 00:09:59 We're all from here and didn't remember any of them. Oh, my good. Don't worry. Don't worry. It's easy. Where are my notes go? All right. I guess I don't get to have notes. I'll take other notes. That's fine. It's easy. And there are only three categories. Would you like to hear today's categories?
Starting point is 00:10:17 Yes. Mm-hmm. You don't have a choice. I don't know why I asked you. Okay. The first category is Sincy slang. Then we have headquartered here. And then finally we have things to do.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Can I write those down? Yeah, that's probably not a terrible idea, actually. And you may pick for one, two, three, or four hundred point dollars. Four hundred point dollars, got it. We're usually dollars on the show, aren't they? Wait, what was, there were four, right? Things to do Cincinnati slang? No, there was three.
Starting point is 00:10:47 There was three categories. Three, okay, I've got those. I'm going to flip my coin of confusing sides. Today, weighty is the lady. And that is a lion. Aye. I don't know if it's going to focus, but it is a lion, which means Mark gets to pick first. You have control of the board.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Easy jeopardy. Easy. I looked at the questions. I know you guys got this. Uh-huh. Okay. Uh, can I call you Bob? My name's Bob.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Bob. Can I call you Bob? My name is Bob. That's, that still works here. Yes. Uh, thanks, Bob.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Can I get headquartered here for 200? I don't know what the strategy is for picking like numbers that don't begin at the beginning, but I just want to do. I don't have anybody. No, no, that was just the regular sound. Sorry, I forgot.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Oh, oh, okay. I thought that was the daily double. I don't want Shepardy enough to know. There's no daily double. There's no daily double. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Okay. All right. I was about saying. We're just answering the question that we select, right? We're not beeping in. Do we have to answer in the form of a question? You may steal if the first person gets it wrong. Sure, that's fine. You have to answer in the form of a question unless I don't notice.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Good caveat. Mark, headquartered here for 200. The answer is this privately held Cincinnati company makes drinks that boast, quote, a full day supply of vitamin C. What is, what is angry orchard? Wait, do you have a guess? Can you repeat the question?
Starting point is 00:12:26 This privately held Cincinnati company makes drinks that boast, quote, a full day supply of vitamin C. What is Sunny Delight? Oh my God, that is correct. Damn, it's in Cincinnati? The Sunny Delight Beverages Company
Starting point is 00:12:42 is a Cincinnati company. I couldn't think of the other orange juice. I could only think of sunny. I was going to say the other one. I was just banking that Angry Orchard had a non-beard division or something like that. So that was just a guess? Yeah, it was the only orange. I couldn't think of, is it called simply orange? Is that the one I couldn't think of? I mean, Tropicana, simply orange. I literally could only think I was like, I think that's orange juice. The only way I could think of a Sunny Delight because the song came into my head. And also like, they don't grow oranges in Ohio, so it would have to be a non-orangell. sense. It makes sense. I just didn't know that they were headquartered in Cincinnati. I thought I was
Starting point is 00:13:17 a shoe in for that category. What a lucky guess. That's that's two hundred dollar points for Wade. Wade, wait, you have control of the board. Damn it. Uh, let's go headquartered here for 300. And the answer is, manufacturers and markets, umbrellas, gloves, rainwear, rubber rain boots, and other weather-related accessories. Oh, it's not skyline chili. As the host, I'm not supposed to give clues, but I will say this is a very big brand, but also you guys have no fucking chance. I didn't know this was a Cincinnati company. What is Lou Lill Lemon? Mark to Steele.
Starting point is 00:14:00 What is Brooks Brothers? The correct answer is totes isotoner. Oh, that was my next guess. Oh, my God. totes, isotoner? Toots as in storage totes and isotoner as in isotoner gloves. Which is a big brand. Is it? Is it really?
Starting point is 00:14:26 It is. It is. Why haven't they advertised on distractible? Well, that's a good question. I was ready for the answers to be skyline chili, gold star chili. Oh, who no. I told you guys, this is cissy stuff. This is real easy.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I'm a fake fan. But it's fine. And you know what? I'm not going to subtract points from your score like they do on real jeopardy. You just lose control of the board for getting a wrong answer. So Mark, your choice. I think our strategy was wrong. I got to start on the easiest ones.
Starting point is 00:15:03 I'll take headquartered here for 100. Yes. So I can get a single dollar. The United States largest supermarket by revenue. and the second largest general real retailer behind Walmart. What is Kroger? That is correct. All right.
Starting point is 00:15:21 I'm on the board. Yes. Good one, Mark. Good one. See, I knew you guys had this. It's still my turn, right? Yes, yes. All right, give me Cincinnati slang for 100.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Oh, damn it, he is smart. I am smart. Phrase often used when asking someone to repeat themselves. Oh, in Cincinnati, yeah, it's please, right? What is please? that is correct all right yeah because yeah I know there's many stories
Starting point is 00:15:49 where people from since anywhere like I guess it's probably a nearby region have people misinterpreted it because like a job interview or something else like didn't hear something they go please I still find that confusing it does not happen a lot at every time because for anyone who can't envision it
Starting point is 00:16:04 you'll literally be like hey I'm looking for the bathroom like whatever you're in a store's I mean like hey excuse me like where's the bathroom and the person just like at you, it is like, please? Yes, please. Please, I'm looking for the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:16:17 I'm sorry I didn't use the magic word. Help me. Yeah, yeah. It's just, I don't do that. I hear I'm sorry more often than not when someone wants you to repeat something. I'm sorry? It's like, oh, okay, I'll tell you again. No way, you're not real Cincinnati.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Yeah, Mark's real Cincinnati. That's why he is control of the board. That's why I got control of the board. Oh, damn it. Go headquarter here for 400. No, no balls. No, no balls. I got done.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Thanks to do. for 100. No! Alright. God damn it. I'm never going to get another point. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and delicacies of all kinds await you in this historic farmers market in the heart of the city. Oh, you should definitely know this one. Oh.
Starting point is 00:17:01 No, it's not, it's not called, uh. I said 100, right? You heard that, right? A hundred. Please, please. It's really close to the University of Cincinnati, where we all lived close. buy there and did attend. The Dan, what is the Danbury Dollar Saver Farmer's Market?
Starting point is 00:17:20 Ah. So close, but that is incorrect. Wade, do you know this one? I've been there. I was there like two years ago. Is, okay, I've got to guess. I don't know if this is the one you're referencing.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Is it Finley Market? What is Finley Market? That is correct. Now that I hear the name, yeah. That makes more sense. If you don't actually go there, I get why, like, I don't ever think about it, but it is, that is a pretty, like, big thing. I think Molly's parents wanted to go down, so Molly and her parents and I went down a couple years ago. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Wade, with a lucky guess. I mean, with an answer, he knew. We have control of the board. Let's go, things to do for 200. I'm going to use Mark's strategy. Uh-huh. Oh, it's a long one. I mean, you got this.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Uh, with 80 or so galleries, art lovers can stroll through dozens of galleries, works spans, 6,000 years and feature pieces from renowned artists such as Warhol, Vangal, Picasso, Rembrandt, and Gainesboro. Special exhibitions are offered year round. What is Cincinnati Art Museum? I fucking ain't that that's correct. It's actually correct. It's called the Cincinnati Art Museum, yes. It is called the Cincinnati Art Museum. Damn it, I knew that one. Then I have have locked into two of these. Oh my god. Oh, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Oh man. Don't worry, I got 200 bucks. Oh man, don't worry. Mark, I don't have them getting any more. Unless it's called Cincinnati Answer Something. It's a very convenient one. It's good. Oh, things to do for no wait, hold, yeah, you know, I'm gonna go balls.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Things to do for 300. Answer is. During football season, this is one of the hottest spots in town. The city's below. Lovett Bengals play at this facility that's located just west of the Great American Ball Park and just one block from the Ohio River. The stadium spans 22 acres and has 65,535 seats. What is Paycor Stadium, formerly known as Paul Brown?
Starting point is 00:19:28 I'm going to check this right now? Yes, that is correct. Be real awful if it wasn't currently called Paycor. Oh, you're thinking of the Crypto.com Stadium. I was thinking that might have changed, but yeah. Like I was like it's it's the cracking crypto bro Whenever dome now but I actually don't know how long it's gonna be called Paycor I know they signed it like
Starting point is 00:19:49 What two years ago do you get borough signed but I don't remember how long the thing was that well that's what I was thinking is I was kind of thinking it's gonna change at some point here I'm both like come on that's a three hundred dollar question and also well I didn't know what that was so Yeah, that's that's tough luck because Wade only knows that because he's a big football fan I buy tickets to go there yeah Yeah, yeah and only one of of you co-hosts a sports podcast, and I think we both know who that is. Me, right? It's me. What is who is me? Things to do for 400. Can I call you Bob, too? You can call me Mr. M.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Mr. M? Things to do for 400? Yeah. This building, once the tallest in Cincinnati, was erected Giggedy in 1931. The Art Deco building houses Tower Place Mall and a hotel. Spectacular views from the observation deck. Oh, I've been here too. What is big, big building? Man, I hate that that's right. Oh, yeah. Obviously, that is incorrect. Mark, do you know this one? It would be really bad if I didn't, given that my wedding. You didn't happen to host anything in this building in the last year, did you? I know we were just there.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Man, Mark's in more trouble than just what Cincinnati is. Hold on, hold on, hold on. He's just walking through his mind palace, trying to locate the correct information. What is the Netherland Plaza? Ooh, sorry that it's incorrect. That better not be. That may be what that area is called, but the building itself is called the Karoo Tower.
Starting point is 00:21:45 I hadn't heard of that. I don't know what that is. Yeah, I don't know that I knew that name. I feel a little bit better. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is all about. All right. All right, all right.
Starting point is 00:21:55 I don't know. What's the Netherlands Plaza then? Is that just the... The Netherlands. It's a country, Mark. It's a country. Right, right. Okay, you're right.
Starting point is 00:22:04 I got them confused. When you first get to the country, you go to the plaza, then they let you head. It's part of the Karoo Tower complex. It's the Hilton Cincinnati. Natty, Netherlands Plaza is the historic Art Deco Hotel located inside the tower. Okay, all right. Makes sense. So I feel like people can give me a pass on this one and I can lose.
Starting point is 00:22:25 You totally remembered it. That just wasn't helpful to you in the game itself. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah. What was it called? It's Carew. Like, you know, whenever you're on a plane, you have the flight crew. Funny joke, Wade. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Yeah, there you go. Mark and I were just syncing it up. All right. Okay. Balls. headquartered here for 400. In 2007, this Fortune 100 company changed its name from Federated Department Stores to this iconic name.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Int, they announced in February they will be closing their downtown Cincinnati headquarters. I don't know how up-to-date this is, so it might not be this February that that was announced. What was the old name of it again? Federated department stores. Okay, so it's kind of be a department store of some type. What is Coles? I'm sorry, that's incorrect. Wait, do you know this one?
Starting point is 00:23:20 I know this one. Oh, wait. What is Papa, Pa, Pa, Pa, Pop, Pop, what is... What is... Danor? What is Sears? I'm sorry, that's incorrect. The correct answer is Macy's.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Macy's was headquartered in Cincinnati? I thought Macy's was older than that. I did not know that either. it's always a New York thing to me because Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I thought of Macy's. Like, no, Macy's is much older and not Cincinnati. Oh, Buh.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Wait, Macy's, it was only called Macy's starting in 07. I think the stores were called that, the parent company. Oh, that's what threw me off. I was like, no, there's been like a Macy's Day parade for like 100 years or something weird. So like, no, it can't be that. That was the first apartment store I thought of it was like, nah, can't be that.
Starting point is 00:24:09 A hundred years or something weird. Fuck! I was like, that'd be so stupid. but if I said Macy's. Oh, I think I broke this role in the last time, but since everyone got that wrong, Wade, you get to pick now because I was doing that before.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Oh, I was going with, yeah, we've been doing it. I think we've been doing it that way. Okay, good. Oh, Cincinnati slang for 300, right in the middle. Oh my God. Nicknamed the Big Mac Bridge for its resemblance to McDonald's Golden Arches. Oh.
Starting point is 00:24:37 There's only so many bridges down there, so, you know, I'm sure you know all their names. Yeah, it's like you just told me the name of it. I should just repeat what you said. But that can't be it. It was the actual name of the bridge that is nicknamed the Big Mac Bridge. Yeah, yeah. Well, when you're walking around down there, people are always like, you know, go down.
Starting point is 00:24:54 What is old yeller? No. You have to have a gun on the bridge. You go to the middle of the gun. Look at the water. We're going to bind the shed. It seems like a bridge nobody would want to walk on. Mark, do you know?
Starting point is 00:25:11 I only know one name. I don't even know. know if there's a bridge, but what is the Brent Spence? That's the big highway one. Ah, shit. Oh, shit. What is the purple people mover bridge? That is a different one, and I don't think that's this one.
Starting point is 00:25:25 The Big Mac Bridge is officially known as the Daniel Beard Bridge. Never heard that in my life. I would have never guessed that. Well, no. Famous Cincinnati. He's the reason we have beards. All right. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Mark's choice. How's that slang? I don't know. I don't get these. Oh, God. Well, you had to know the slang to then get the, because the answer was so easy. Everyone wouldn't just know the answer, obviously.
Starting point is 00:25:52 I'm balls. I'm balls. Cincinnati slang for 400. The shortcut for ordering Cincinnati-style chili with spaghetti, raw onions, kidney beans, and cheddar cheese. Is there another name for this? I'll say it again? This is the shortcut for ordering Cincinnati-style chili with spaghetti,
Starting point is 00:26:11 raw onions, kidney beans, and cheddar cheese. I'm like the way that I would order it is pretty short as is why would I need a shortcut this is this a trick are you tricking me what the fuck is that your answer do you see doesn't do I seem like the kind of a guy who would trick you I honestly have what's the fuck I don't know what is a five way that's correct it's a five way oh kick I was about to say it like what the fuck that was for 400 Daniel Beard was three I was like that's the only way I know it and it's like, I was like, this really short. So it probably that. Well, but right. That's the shortcut because if you sit down and go, I want a way with onions and
Starting point is 00:26:55 and beans and cheese. Like if you say all the things that you want, you'll still get it. But it's called a five way. That's the shorthand for it. Yeah. Yeah. It's a five way. Yeah. I just can't believe that's a 400 question. That's why it felt like a trick to me too. I was like, well, no, it's a 400 question. There's, I think that was honestly, I think that was, honestly, I think that was the idea because if anyone from Cincinnati was answering it, it would seem like a trick. Because you're like, oh, that's only called one thing. There's no other thing. I was trying to think of Gold Star, like, called it something else. I'm like, I don't know how else I would order that. Like, give me skinny with the fixings. Like, because with the four way,
Starting point is 00:27:30 you have to pick onions or beans and you have to tell them. Okay, all right. So still mine, right. But there's only one left on the board. Choose carefully. All right. Last one. Daily Double. Come on. 200. Sintzy slang for 200. Pepsi and Coke are known as soda to most of the world, but in Cincinnati, this slang term reigns supreme. What is pop? That is correct.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Which is funny because I don't call it that. I think I call it soda mostly, but I guess that's wrong. Soda Pop. I say both. I usually just say which one I want. I like never say pop. Saying pop sounds weird to me. I feel like I said pop more when I was younger.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I think I say soda more now. I can't believe Daniel Beard was sandwiched between those two. That is all of the questions off the board. Let me just double check here. Mark, we won. I feel good. We are Cincinnati still. Yeah, right?
Starting point is 00:28:26 We definitely didn't miss a lot of those. You missed four of them, which is one third, and I did say this was easy, Jeopardy. So, of course, we have to keep going until you're able to answer all of them correctly. Oh, fuck me. What did you think I mean? What I said, Easy Jeopardy? Oh, no, what's the bridge name?
Starting point is 00:28:47 Oh, no! I thought you're being nice. You only missed four. You only have to remember a couple things, really. Oh, no. What do you get two? The other one gets two? You're all done.
Starting point is 00:29:02 How hard could it be? And I told you the answers. I told you it was easy. I have, oh, God damn it. When will we learn? When will we learn? When will we learn? I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Mark got the last one's correct, so I guess Mark has control of the board. Unfortunately, in my final jeopardy, you don't get to pick. You have to answer the question that I give you. Okay. Mark, uh, headquartered here for 300. This company, manufacturers and markets, umbrellas, gloves, rainwear, rubber rain boots, and other weather-related accessories. I forgot about this question.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Oh, what, oh, I, oh, what is totes and insects? Insex. Interlopers. Totes and impressionables. Totes and e'en. Out. Not out. Oh, fuck.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Tootsin in and out. Ah, so close, so close, but that's not it. Wait, do you know this one? You just say no if you're sure that you don't know. What is tote meal? That's incorrect. Oh, of course the answer is tot's isotoner. Everybody remembers that.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Of course, isotoner was on the tip of my tongue. All right, Wade, you get to answer, things to do for 400. Oh, no. This building, once the tallest in Cincinnati, was erected in 1931. The Art Deco building houses Tower Place Mall and a hotel. Spectacular views from the observation deck. We were just talking about it. We talked about it a lot because Mark was surprised he didn't hear that name because he knew the other stuff about the place.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I made my Netherlands joke. What is Kuru Tower? That is correct. I would have gotten that. I want to point out I would have gotten that. I would have gotten it. I would have gotten it. Yeah, Mark looked like he knew that one too. I only got there because you two spit like a few seconds like trying to pronounce it. I was like, what was that thing they were saying? Kuru, Karu, Kauru. We were pronouncing it fine. You were the one pronouncing it weird. Kroo. All right. Mark, you get to answer. Headquartered here for 400. In 2007, this Fortune 100 company changed this name from federated department stores to this iconic name. Hint they announced in February of some year that they will be closing their downtown Cincinnati
Starting point is 00:31:36 headquarters. What is Macy's? That's correct. Bizar. Bizarre. I was surprised at the ones that you guys got right, because I was thinking some of these would be really funny. The Macy's one, I was like, they're going to remember that. That's super weird. That's an interesting fact about Cincinnati. Wade, you get to answer Sincis slang for 300. Nicknamed the Big Mac Bridge for its resemblance to McDonald's Golden Arches. What is Daniel Beard?
Starting point is 00:32:05 That's right. You can tell my comment. confidence level with how quiet I spoke. I knew Daniel, but I did not remember beard. I remembered my beard joke. I couldn't remember Daniel for sure. Well, man, between you two, you guys had that one completely locked down. Oh, it's Mark's board again. What board?
Starting point is 00:32:27 What, what? Oh, actually, we should swap because you got... No, no, no, we should stick with Mark's board. Don't ask me that question. Don't ask me that question. You're right. It's Wade's board again, because there's one question. we still haven't gotten right. Wade, headquartered here for 300. No, I've already forgotten.
Starting point is 00:32:47 This company, manufactures and markets, umbrellas, gloves, rainwear, rubber rain boots, and other weather-related accessories. I told this answer to you two minutes ago. What is Tote, Underbooth? Oh, man. So close. So close. I'm sorry. That's not correct. New from Nespresso. Blend wellness into your coffee routine with a coffee plus range. Infused with functional benefits.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Choose the coffee you love with added B vitamins. Like coffee plus B12 to help support immune function. And coffee plus B6 to keep your day moving. Or go with the flow and choose ginseng delight. Our new double espresso with ginseng extract. Whatever lies ahead, don't change your morning. Let your morning change you. Starting point is 00:33:44 Got one idiot, right? What a dumbass. I'm kidding for memory. In this case. Mark, I told this to you two minutes and 30 seconds ago. So really, you get a little bit more of a break than Wade did. Uh-huh. Yep.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Uh-huh. Toats. Oh. And interstellar. I'm sorry. That's incorrect. Don't tell us the answer, Bob. I think I got it.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Oh, my God. This is the final question. So, uh, I'm just going to let you go back and forth. I'm sure that Wade has this. Wade, do you need me, do you want me to read the clue again or do you have it in your head? No, no, no, no, I got it.
Starting point is 00:34:28 They have umbrellas and boots and they are. Yes, yes. Totes, isotopes? I'm sorry, that's incorrect. Oh, God, damn it. My turn? Are you sure? Yeah, Mark.
Starting point is 00:34:41 Yeah, Mark. Do you have another guess? You're allowed to listen to each other's guesses and see if that helps. What the fuck? In. It's in something, right? Oh, man. Yeah, they're in Cincinnati.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Oh, that's funny. Toots and... Isotaner. What is totes and isidonor? What is totes and isotoner? That is correct. I'm going to just pretend that. you had a hiccup in the middle there because the answer is totes isotinor.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Oh. Oh. What is totes isotoner? Nah, I already justified giving it to Mark. Oh, they'd get so much more business if they were toots iso. Isobo. Can I look up Toots Isotone or do you have any other questions about it? No, you can look up whatever.
Starting point is 00:35:26 That is, that is the end of the Jeopardy. We have successfully answered all of the questions. Easy. Like I said, it would be from the very beginning. Weird. Weird. So there's an Isotoner.com and then there's a totes.com. But they're a company, Toots Isotinor.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Yeah, they're sort of branded as two companies. But Isotoner like gloves and outerwear stuff is like a pretty big, like it's in Coles and Macy. Like it's in all the like department stores and stuff. I have heard of Isotoners as like a nationwide brand previously. I don't know what totes. Is totes literally like storage totes? Or is it like gloves and shit? I don't know anything about that.
Starting point is 00:36:03 It's just a name for the boots and stuff. Toots brands includes other umbrellas rubber footwear ponchos I don't know if Iso toner has a different one Oh You put easy in the name I should have known 20 easy questions I knew it and I still didn't
Starting point is 00:36:20 I still didn't get it It was right there They have nice looking flip flops on the Toats website See oh and they have hats Look at that Sunny D in rum Yum yum Yeah I was a little surprised you got Sunny D right off the rip
Starting point is 00:36:33 I was hoping that one would go to the That it was the only vitamin C product I could think of the name of. And it was only because the song came in my head. I mean, honestly, you guys did really good. I was hoping that, like, we'd end up with, like, six-ish mists. And you did better than I expect.
Starting point is 00:36:49 You only missed four of them. I guess I should have had more questions. I was afraid that was going to go on and on. But it's going to have to be 50 easy questions next time. Oh, oh, oh. You're 12 to 50. Look, but if I do it, I'll tell you at the beginning. This is 50 easy questions.
Starting point is 00:37:05 You can take notes. You can write stuff down. It's totally fine. I'm sure you won't get bored halfway through and stop remembering to write stuff down and still have questions you'll never remember the answer to. I'm sure that won't happen.
Starting point is 00:37:16 I'm sure. I guess the game is, what the game is. I was thinking that'd go a little longer. This might end up being a little bit of a short episode, but that's fine. Sometimes you got smart contestants.
Starting point is 00:37:27 That's fine. Dense, dense of funny. Really, really funny. The funny per minute is huge. So you gotta end it quick. Our ratio's going down. There's no funny from here on out. You guys earned points for.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Oh, Mark, Mark earned points for. Slap yourself. Can I call you Bob? You got Kroger, please, five-way, pop, Macy's, and Tote's, isotone, are correct. Wade, you earned points for, you would hate that about the holes. You burned Buckees, because take that. Was that the shocking part? And also your shocked escalations of your reactions.
Starting point is 00:38:01 Then you got Sunny Delight, Finley Market, Sincerect, Art Museum, Pacor Stadium, Karoo Tower and the Daniel Beard Bridge. Correct. Making the final score, 10 for Wade and one, two. Oh, nine for Mark. It was closer than I thought it would be. Hey, I still got a chance. Wade did really good in the small talk,
Starting point is 00:38:20 but you guys were very competitive with the trivia stuff. Just a little unfair that he got the slap. Oh. Oh, God damn it. I didn't mean to do that. Well, I was just thinking, like, I slapped myself, and he got the point. That hurt.
Starting point is 00:38:34 But I, you know. Okay, so... It was the delivery, though, because you were to stay there, and Mark just went, slap yourself. And you did. Let's see if it is. Okay, so either I get a point for slapping myself, or he gets two, he gets an extra point for me slapping me? Well, decide exactly what happens if we have to.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Right now, the flip is about the slapping yourself point to situation. I want heads. I got the lady. That's heads. Oh, I got tails. Oh, I got tails. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Oh, thank God. Nothing happens. We almost have to give Mark extra points. Fair enough, fair enough. Well, the score is 10 to 9, and it's time for the wheel. Wheely wheel gets the grease. That's what I always say. Yep.
Starting point is 00:39:18 And, of course, we're going to have three bonus spins, because why wouldn't we? That's what I'm talking about. How could we possibly not have three bonus spins? That's what I always say. How about, uh, knew the most trivia. That'll come up a line. Yeah, that's pretty obscure. Oh, I got one.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Said my name in the episode. That does not always happen, but today, Mark did ask what he should call me and decided to call me Bob, which I do appreciate. All right. I said it again later, but it was his joke. Said Bob first in this episode. Okay, so every episode we got to be eating, drinking, making callbacks. Say Bob, I got it. The host has a real advantage here.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Why would I say my own name? I'm Bob, Johnny's always by my co-host, Mark and Wade. Oh, that's true. I do that every time, unless I don't. We got 122 options here. I'm sure nothing bad will happen, especially not to me. Actually, Baltimore gets it first. That's true.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Oh, that is true. Ah! Spin number one is sudden death. It's a tie. Five. I guess that's it for the spins. That was easy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:39 No more spins need to happen. Now we need to go to the winner's wheel, which is currently at 10%. 10% of 360. Wait, I could do this. Does it increase in the beginning or the end? I can't remember. I think afterward, right? We add 2% after the spin is what we've been doing, right?
Starting point is 00:40:58 I don't know. I can't remember. Because we spun it not too long ago and it was 8%. You spin, then you add so it. It's more for the next person. Because we added after the spin I did. So yeah, it's after. Yeah, it was 8% for you.
Starting point is 00:41:11 And now it's 10%. That wouldn't happen, he said. No, no, no. Okay. Oh, so I'm talking about. Mark. Mark wins, baby. I knew it.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Oh, feels good, feels good. Feels good. Feels very good. Well, it feels terrible. Mark wins, and everything is fine because it's not a one-man show. Holy fuck. All right. That means I had a note this down. It is now 12%
Starting point is 00:41:42 Noted, noted, noted, noted Mark Wins is written in the book. Wade, loser speech. I had this in the bag. I went through all the different phases of being shocked Slap myself. I knew some good trivia, but fate hath decided that today would be unfair and I can say that word safely now because I accidentally already used it. So unfair unfair. That's it. That's it for me. Yeah, it only happens once. You're good. It's in the Constitution. So It's basically God's rules at this point. One easy win. My episode. Thanks, loser.
Starting point is 00:42:16 Mark, winner's speech. Wow. Fate really loves me and me alone. The world conspired to allow me to win, and I take that. I will humbly take that and unhumbly take this win. Both is how I feel right now. I deserve it, and I don't, and I'm okay with that. Thank you, Universe, for smiling upon me like you have every day.
Starting point is 00:42:40 of my life. For listeners, I'm thumbing up. Oh yeah. No, yeah. He's thumbs up. He's thumbs uping real big and big smile. For viewers, I'm thumbing down. He's double thumbing down. Thumbsing down. Thumb Downsing. Thumb down. Thumbsing down. I think it's Thumbop pie. Thank you for listening or watching, no, listening to or watching this episode. I'm just shocked. I was sure it was going to be a one-man show. I could feel it. But then the universe was like, no, no, we like Mark. And they did what was right. So congratulations.
