I oversee one of the biggest resource center in UnitedHealthcare. I see people walk in my office every day, just like my parents. They have no idea about the health care. I feel like they are my uncles, aunties.
Starting point is 00:01:23 I treat people like family. I'm Brian, and I'm committed to care. Can they hold serve and wait for these pieces to come back? Because I think they can get away without adding offense, but they need pitching. Afternoon to you, everybody. Welcome to a fresh and live episode of Dodgers territory. That is Clint Pisillas. He is the hardworking one behind all of the scenes.
Starting point is 00:02:00 I am Alana Rizzo here on a fresh episode on this Thursday afternoon. Thanks for being here, you guys. We appreciate you very much. We already see that BC has joined the chat. rate as five stars like subscribe all of the things to the dodgers territory podcast on youtube and wherever you get your pods a lot to talk about and we'll just get right to it let's hit the big ticket one of the biggest things clink going into the series is we had both said that we did not expect the matchup in terms of probabilities to be dustin may tvd and at the time justin
Starting point is 00:02:34 rubleski that was not on our bingo card against the podrays the first time we saw them this season it actually didn't end up being that it was dustin may bullpen game which a lot of Matt Sauer, and it was Ben Kusperius. You're big on Kusperius. Tell me why you think this move was made. You know what? I think Dave, he's a smart man. He really wanted to win that series.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Ben Kaspareas gave this team the best chance, best opportunity to win this game. Benny Kaps, I do not know where this team would be without this kid. Well, he's been in the bullpen. He's been in the starting rotation mix. and now moving to the starting rotation. But I loved everything about the move. And it looks like moving forward, Benny Caps,
Starting point is 00:03:19 the starting pitcher Benny Capp's experience is happening. And I know a lot of friends on the Internet are very, very excited about this. Because the kid, as you saw, outside of one inning where the nerves kind of popped up, the kid is nasty. Yeah, you know, and Sonia Chen, who follows the Dodgers for MLB.com with this post here, that the next time he's on the mound, Clint, it will be as a starter. There's no more of Benny Caps coming out of the bullpen. There's no more of these situations where he's the long man.
Starting point is 00:03:46 He's the guy, right? And it makes sense based on the amount of arms that are on the IL. I know you've been high on Benny Caps for the entire season, and now he has an opportunity to show why he should be in the Dodgers starting rotation because it looks like that is where he is placed now with Tony Gonsolin on the IL and so many other guys on the injured list as well. Let's talk about game two a little bit because that is the one game that the Dodgers lost. They won the series.
Starting point is 00:04:11 That's all I asked for. Game two was... You want to talk about that game more? No, I just, I didn't need to address it because some folks are saying that Dave Robert's punted. I don't think he punted. I think it was a calculated decision to, you know, you're not going to win every single game. You know what you have on your roster.
Starting point is 00:04:27 You know what you have on your bench. You know what you have in your pen. I mean, if you're shit in the bed early and you're already down in a massive hole, you know, you know, I'm not saying he punted. I'm saying like, okay, you got it. You have to think about the line. long game. Yeah, I would argue it is a punt because that's one of the plays in the book. You know, I said it on Tuesday night. If we're looking at this game, that game in particular,
Starting point is 00:04:52 in football terms, that is a punt. It was a three and out. And that's fine because, you know, well, at least now in baseball terms, you had to save your bullpen. You had one more game, an important game you're trying to win this series. It's a punt, but every time, you know, doesn't necessarily have such a bad connotation to see. say punt in baseball and with the Dodgers and the expectations. Yes, it was a punt, but yes, it was the right decisions because you saw what happened there in game three. Ben Casperius, for as great as he is, he's not built up to, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:24 starter's workload yet. So they still had to find a way to bridge the gap to the ninth inning. And it worked out. And, you know, a unsung hero, Kike Hernandez in his helmet in game two. But it worked out. Yeah. And it's funny, no, because it did work out. But it's like you see Kike pitching. in a, you know, whether it was a win or a blowout loss when he has the pitching helmet on and some people thought it was funny.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And then obviously in this game against what many are saying is the most recent rivalry, although they started a series with the Giants tomorrow, the most recent rivalry, some people were annoyed by it, annoyed by the move of pitching Kike Hernandez in the sixth inning and having him eat up all those innings. But it's like, you know what? Somebody in the chat just said, too, I call this, you know, saving the arms of people in the bullpen because. the bullpen is taxed because the servers are so damn hurt. So Mr. Classic, that's called Let's Save Our Arms and Steve Tomorrow. Yeah, I don't disagree with them. I think that's what it is. Again, there's a lot going on behind the scenes that we're not 302. They won the series. That was the point of the whole thing. That's all I asked for. But again, to your point, Ben Casperius seems like he's the real deal and he's a starter moving forward. Yeah. This is tough because this is something
Starting point is 00:06:36 he wants. It's something that, you know, some of us have wanted for a little while. But now this takes a very important arm, arguably the best arm out of the bullpen, which has also struggled in its own right. Dodgers have, I think it's a 403 bullpen ERA this season. It does help. They got a couple of adults back with Mikey Kopeck and with Kirby Yates. But you also need Kopeck to return to the guy they traded for last year, or at least the guy he became after they traded for him,
Starting point is 00:07:08 where he had like a 1.6 ERA and was striking everybody. out or whatever, we saw yesterday. You know, the command bugaboo that was bothering him at AAA, it kind of reared its ugly head. Thankfully, Anthony Bonda, who quietly has had a nice resurgence, bailed him out. But if Kopeck can be dialed in, then this move for conspiracy of the rotation isn't going to hurt as much. But like Dave said, he is one of the fifth best guys, arguably, fifth best guys to be able
Starting point is 00:07:39 to take down some innings for the Dodgers. and that's the move they're making. And I don't hate it. I just wish there were two Ben Casperius's. Well, maybe Bobby Miller becomes Ben Casperius. And the only reason I say that is because maybe the mentality of Bobby Miller is better served as a guy that can just take all of that adrenaline and doesn't have time to think like you do when you're a starter.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Maybe it's best for Bobby Miller to become a bullpen arm to where he only has to worry about three guys or a couple of innings or whatever it is. Maybe he's, maybe his mental mindset is better suited for, remember I wanted Dustin May in the bullpen? I'm still not, I'm still not saying I wouldn't, but we can't because we definitely need a starting arms. But maybe Bobby Miller, I mean, I don't know. Maybe that gets him an opportunity to come back to the big leagues.
Starting point is 00:08:27 And he doesn't, like, as a reliever, you don't have time to think. You don't have time to settle in. Just take your best stuff and you hope, you throw strikes and you shove and you, and you pray for the best. For Bobby Miller, I'm fully, fully on board with this idea, because. it's apparent now. It's painfully apparent. I don't want to say I love the kid. I appreciate that he is one of the available arms on the 40-man roster that is healthy. But he's not a starting pitcher. He hasn't been a starting pitcher. He should never have really been a starting pitcher. The experiment,
Starting point is 00:08:58 they've tried it. It did not work right now. His best path to potentially helping this ball club out at the big league level is as a one-inning guy. You offset the loss of Casparius and the bullpen. You at AAA, I'm not saying immediately bring up Bobby Miller and plug him into the big league bullpen, but you put him in the bullpen at AAA because he's got an ERA over five and a half there. His last outing, I think he gave up like 10 earned runs or something ridiculous. It's done. That experiment is done. Bobby, it's time to move with the bullpen. Even if you have to go to your manager and be like, hey, I want to try out for the bullpen because that is your path forward to big league playing time. I would love to see it. And if it does, if it does,
Starting point is 00:09:39 doesn't work out. Maybe he's traded somewhere. Maybe he's, he's released or non-tendered in the off season and he finds a way to latch on with another ball club. But right now as a starting pitcher, he's never going to get a chance at the big league level. Maybe there's a path forward in the bullpen and the Dodgers need help. Dodgers need help there. For sure. For sure. And you know what? I don't fault Bobby Miller for wanting. Let's, who knows if he even wants to go to the bullpen? That's not the point. I can tell you one thing, Aaron Savali doesn't want to go to the bullpen, but that's a whole other conversation and a whole other show. But the thing is maybe if he realize is that's probably my best bet of getting back to the big leagues and having some sort of
Starting point is 00:10:14 longevity there. I have no problem with that. Ask Henley Jansen. He was a catcher. And now he's one of the greatest closers of all time. I mean, ask these guys that are asked to change positions. I mean, and look at, again, whatever, I'm not comparing Mookie bets to Bobby Miller. But look at Mooky who had who was like, mooky didn't have to say he was going to go into the infield, even though he came up as an infielder and then went to the outfield and then came back in. I mean, maybe some, Maybe this is the way to get Bobby Miller out of, in between his ears. Yeah. And just he has good stuff.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Bullpen. For a very short amount of time. That's what you need in the bullpen. And you just need two pitches. That's it. He has too many pitches and none of them are exceptional. We were talking about this, my buddy, Jeff Snyder and I were talking about this last week or something like that.
Starting point is 00:11:01 But back in the day, maybe three, four years ago, Bobby Miller's scouting report from Baseball America, I think it was baseball America, was like, yeah, he was, He has a hundred mile an hour fastball, but his fastball is probably like his fourth best pitch. It's not the pitch he needs to be relying on. Kenley, you mentioned Kenley Jansen. He made a career out of that cutter. Mariana Rivera made a career out of that cutter. Bobby's got a nasty change up.
Starting point is 00:11:25 You know, I made a career out of a change up as somebody by the name of Trevor Hoffman. I'm just saying if you eliminate a lot of the factors, like you're saying between the years, if you eliminate a lot of the factors for Bobby, tell him, go out there, just absolutely let it shove for one inning he could give it every single pitch throw it up you know whatever the high whatever his high velo is on whatever pitch it is throw it as hard as you can please pray to god he locates it but if he can if he only has to deal with three or four batters versus and that's assuming obviously that he doesn't have traffic on the bases and all the things but versus like an expectation of hopefully going five or six innings i think that might be again and these are all conversations
Starting point is 00:12:04 i'm sure the daughters have had i'm sure we're not the first one saying but i think it might be. It's an experiment, Clint, that I am willing to entertain. I'm just laughing at Scott talking about it, or if I'm laughing more at the Noster dumbass front end that you have created, which is amazing. All right, we're going to talk a little bit about trade deadline, which I know I understand it's only June 12th, guys.
Starting point is 00:15:44 But Clint had a good thought about just talking about what this team possibly needs at the trade deadline. As we look at the numbers, it's 41 and 28th. They're 13 games over 500. So many teams would love to be where this club is. But I tell you what, did not think this. But well, actually, we kind of did talk about it. The NLS is the closest division of all of the divisions in terms of teams flip-flopping, right?
Starting point is 00:16:06 Just a half game lead over San Francisco, Clint, in the National League West. They start a series with the Higantes tomorrow. So if you were to wave your magic wand, Clint Paseas, what are the Dodgers needs right now? Yeah, listen, I'm looking forward here to some, I'm calling it way too early trade deadline talk. And, well, after our first segment here on the show, you would assume they need a starting pitcher because they're taking their best reliever out of the bullpen. They need a bullpen arm because they're taking their best reliever out of the bullpen. and you would wonder if they also need to add a bat because we're still not seeing all that much consistently
Starting point is 00:16:42 out of Michael Conforto. Miguel Rojas is having a pretty down year if you're looking at the bench. So there are some trade needs, but of course, as we painfully know, there's a lot of pieces on the injured list. So the question is, can they hold serve until a lot of these arms come back?
Starting point is 00:17:01 On the way back, you do have these arms coming back. Really, so of all the pieces, people that are on the IL right now. I would say there's five that are not coming back. Maybe there's a chance Kyle Hurt and River Ryan can make their way back this year. We know Stone is out. He wants to try to come back, but Stone is out. He had shoulder surgery.
Starting point is 00:17:19 He's done. Evan Phillips has had the Tommy John a little bit ago. You know, he's done. But Sheehan should be coming back very soon. We got Blake Snell, Glasnow, Roki Sasaki. We know Otani could be coming back sooner rather than later. Gonson, you don't know really where he's going to factor into everything. but, you know, from what we're understanding, he's not done for the season.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Then you've got relievers, and, Eduardo Henriquez, of course, Brousdark, Radarol, Luis Garcia. I should have also put Blake Snell, sorry, sorry, what's his name, Blake Trinen on that list as well? But those are all dudes that are coming back. It's like, can they hold serve and wait for these pieces to come back? Because I think they can get away without adding offense, but they need pitching. And I think we're going to learn a lot over the next seven days.
Starting point is 00:18:05 about what they're going to do. Giants three, four more with the Padres before. I mean, yeah, this next week is huge. Starting tomorrow, you can really create some distance against these teams that we're going to see over the next week. But there is a thing, too, let's say everybody comes back. Let's say, you know, we snap our fingers and we got them all back. It doesn't mean they're going to be effective, right?
Starting point is 00:18:27 It doesn't mean that they're going to be immediately able to shake off all of the rest and eat up massive innings and all of the things. You know, I think Snell is probably, as far as the starters are concerned, I have not heard a ton about Roki Sasaki. And that's on me for not digging in and trying to find out a little bit more information. But I've not heard a ton about his return. So I got to figure that out. But, you know, even if Blake Snell and Tyler Glassnow and Roki Sasaki and let's say Shohayotani gets one start before the All-Star break, which I think is stupid, you know, what are the realistic expectations of these guys? in terms of effectiveness, in terms of buildup,
Starting point is 00:19:09 in terms of being able to go deep into ball games, because I don't care how many simulated games you throw. It is not the same as a real life game experience. And I see some folks in our chat, and we always appreciate you guys being a part of the program. Thank you so much. You know, Honeywell, okay, he's a bullpen guy, he's not a starter, trade for Bueller.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I don't know if you guys have noticed and I love Walker, he's not. having a great year. Okay? So I don't know that that's it. Joe Kelly for the bullpen. I don't know. I mean,
Starting point is 00:19:39 Joe Kelly, I don't know. I mean, he's probably still working out. I know he got banned from coaching Little League because of a hat that he wore. I mean,
Starting point is 00:19:45 Joe Kelly's doing Joe Kelly things. You know, and there's what about, so I had this conversation with Ken Rosenthal today on Fair Territory on his show. And I don't know if you guys have heard, probably not because you don't need to be Brewer's fans.
Starting point is 00:19:58 And that's fine. But Aaron Savali has requested a trade because the brewers are calling up their top prospect. he's immediately being slid into the starting rotation. And the Brewers are one, probably the only of the 30 teams that have a starting pitching surplus, right? So Aaron Savali, who is going into his free agency after this season is being moved to the bullpen. He's like, uh, uh, uh, not so fast. I am a starter. This reminds me of Alex Wood.
Starting point is 00:20:24 I am a starter and I am not going to the bullpen because I am a free agent and I need to be going into my free agent year as a starter. Why not? It's an $8 million price tag. Why not sign Aaron Savali? Swinging to trade for Savali, I would say this is where we get back to the whole concept, the whole idea of holding serve. Like I take Blake Snell over Aaron Savali, I take Tyler Blasna over Savali. And ultimately, those guys would kind of usurp him in the starting rotation if everybody is healthy and throwing. I'm sorry, I'm going to use big words.
Starting point is 00:21:02 They would get his job. So he would end up in the bullpen, likely. It likely end up in the bullpen or some sort of, you know, Alex Wood long relief role if he were to become a Dodger. Yeah, he could be the next Ryan Yarbrough. Like, you're here for now. You're here for a good time, not a long time. Not a long time.
Starting point is 00:21:18 And listen. And if he doesn't want to be in the bullpen, like that would be his future as a Los Angeles Dodger because they're going to plug. Is it, is it though? Is it his future? This is assuming. I'm not saying he's trying to find a long-term deal with the Dodger. I'm saying maybe he comes over as an early season rental before the trade deadline.
Starting point is 00:21:38 He wants to be a starter. Maybe they can work a negotiation with the brewers that their daughters are not going to take on the full $8 million deal. The brewers want to trade him. He wants to be traded. So you already have that freaking figure of like it's probably going to be a distraction. He's super pissed that this young prospect is coming up and taking his job. I'm just saying the guy has starter stuff. We need starters.
Starting point is 00:22:02 They need starters right now. But in a month and a half, maybe they don't because... But maybe they do. Yeah, yeah. Again, this is where it's an absolutely awful job that Andrew Friedman and Brandon Goams both have in trying to navigate this and make that decision and make that call. Plus, let's throw this graphic up. There's a lot of other teams that are going to be looking to add at the trade deadline as well. Even right now, you got your buyers.
Starting point is 00:22:30 There's at least seven teams that I identified as buyers there. Tigers, of course, very, very good. Would not hate to add pieces there. We know where the Padres are at. They need some help in the lineup. Giants probably need to fill out their roster a little bit. We'll talk Giants in our third and final segment of the show. You know the Mets are in the mix.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Phillies are leading in the wild card right now. Yankees need some help as well. And then you got, you know, the sellers. Those are pretty much definitely a thousand percent sellers. in my opinion and then your teams that are on the fence that all have some pieces. But those buyers, they're going to want. You know, you don't think the tigers want to add somebody of the ilk of Aaron Savali or whatever. I think there's more competition than just like, hey, the Dodgers want them.
Starting point is 00:23:14 There's a ton of team. Throw that graphic that you so appropriately curated. Throw that back up there. Yes, I think the tigers would like the ilks of Aaron Savali. You know who else might be? And, no, don't throw stuff at the computer guys. but Sandy Alcantra is getting back to form. There's a great article in the athletic done by both Ken Rosenthal and I believe
Starting point is 00:23:35 Eno Serra is talking about it. Or maybe it was just Kenny by himself. But the point is there's a recent article about Sandy Alcantra that an opposing team scouts that he's about three or four outings away from getting back to where he was prior to Tommy John when he like absolutely shoved. And I realized that the numbers where he looked really good were against the Rockies and they were against some other garbage team. I can't remember.
Starting point is 00:23:56 But the point is, He might be a decent rental to for the second half of the season. Yes, I understand that he's very expensive. Maddie Man, Five Dodge is saying that. But he's also, now is a good time to trade him, right, before he gets that expensive and before the Marlins are going to have to pay him. But there are teams that definitely need starting pitching. And obviously, Jackson Job is now on the shelf with, he has to go, he has to undergo Tommy John surgery too. So that stinks.
Starting point is 00:24:25 He was having a, you know, good year, good, good young. Claire. But I don't know. I load up. I mean, the doctors have a way of doing things and work in the system legally. But I'm loading up on starting arms right now because I don't know what the heck is happening with Glasnow and Snell and Sasaki and when Cho Hay is going to be ready and all of the things. Gonsolin, all the stuff. Even Emmett Sheehan. I do want to temper. I feel like I've, as the kids say here on the internet, I've glazed up the Emmett Sheehan dude, a good amount. I don't want people assuming that Emmett Sheehan's going to plug into the starting rotation and, you know, be the second coming of Fernando Valenzuela in 1981. No, he's not that guy,
Starting point is 00:25:08 but he is somebody who is serviceable. He's got a plus fastball. He's got some good breaking stuff. He can give you some length. Emmett Sheehan could, in theory, be this team's Aaron Savali, just somebody to fill in for now and then eventually move to the bullpen where I also believe, much like Bobby Miller we're talking about in the first segment of the show, could, you know, he could really help this team out in the bullpen. But going back to that graphic again, you know, one of the teams I really like looking at is the Orioles, is their ass. They're so bad.
Starting point is 00:25:40 I don't know what happened there. I mean, and don't forget to throw the Rockies on the sellers, even though I don't know there's anyone on the Rockies worth buying. But the point is they're obviously selling to. They won't trade with the Dodgers because, you know, Dick Monfort's a moron. But we all know that. But they will not trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers. But Cedric Mullins, center fielder, could be nice in Dodger Blue. Do we need an outfielder, though?
Starting point is 00:26:03 Do we need an outfielder? Are you punting on Conforto? Like, where is Cedric Mullen going to play? Left field, center field, just as long as Conforto is not in that lineup. Conforto, to me, is not the championship answer for the Dodgers right now in left field. That's just, we're mid-June, just shy of mid-June, and he's still hitting a buck 80 or under? I think we need arms way more than we need office. Oh, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:26:30 So there's a package deal, Mullen, Zach Eflin over there from Baltimore. Rangers, interesting trade partner as well. They got... Oh, Gita Waldie. Lady of Aldi. Bring him home. What is it? I would love that. I've always wanted Maldi in a daughter uniform.
Starting point is 00:26:45 He came up as a Dodger. It was wonderful times. But I wanted him in his prime as a daughter. Yeah, Nate's a dog. Ellis Sheva Jones talking about any of us. Yes, I hear you about the sponsorships, Elisheva, about that we do have female Dodgers fans, too. I get that. So we need sponsors that are geared towards females.
Starting point is 00:27:06 I get that. My girl, I get that. But it's interesting because you're talking about the debacks. Could you imagine if they continue to, obviously, it sucks that Corbyn Burns is on the EIL. I hate that for the debacks and I hate that for Burns. But what if they end up being willing to trade Merrill Kelly and, and, and, Zach Allen. Allen. I mean, like, that would be, I don't think they're going to trade them to the Dodgers. But, you know, that's interesting because I thought this Arizona Diamondback team coming into the season, spending more on their roster than they ever had.
Starting point is 00:27:37 And it just goes to show you. You can spend as much money as you've ever done in your team's existence. But if people can't stay healthy, it doesn't make a bit of difference. Money does not equal championships. We have always learned that. The 22 team should be. be the example of that for when it comes to the Dodgers, how much talent that team had. Money does not buy titles. It gets you into the postseason. I will say that. It gives you a great chance to get into the postseason, but it does not guarantee anything
Starting point is 00:28:09 beyond a postseason birth. And I'm talking first round. Yeah. That's it. Maybe too. And this is a team that's in the N-L-O-S. So it's a problem to try to find a way to even navigate to the post-season as a wildcard when there's so many good teams out there, of course.
Starting point is 00:28:27 It's the most division of all of them. Yeah. So, I mean, that's, that's kind of where things sit with the trade deadline and trade outlook right now. I, I personally think the team is fine standing pat. I do think that will, I mean, ultimately, that's going to be the goal. Andrew Friedman told us that in January. I don't want to have to make any big moves at the trade deadline. That's why he went out and got all these guys, right?
Starting point is 00:28:50 That's like, to your point, that's a great, that's a great point that you bring up, point because this is exactly why Andrew Friedman and the front office and ownership agreed, like, let's go and spend a massive bag on all of these guys so we don't have to worry. We can really fine-tune and kind of nitpick what they need at the deadline, but it doesn't need to be anything massive. So if, in fact, these guys do come back and we really have just little tiny holes in the Swiss cheese, then that's fine. I just don't know where these guys are health-wise.
Starting point is 00:29:20 I just, I don't. Daughters are very close to the vest with that type of stuff. Well, the good thing is they're coming home. And usually when the Dodgers come back to Dodger Stadium, that brings with it a lot of information, the latest updates from the injured list. We know that in San Diego, Blake Snell threw like a 70% bullpen. He felt good.
Starting point is 00:29:41 He's been healthy for two weeks. So getting Snell back in that rotation, I think really just resets everything. Because having Snell and Yama at the top, I feel good. I mean, just mentally getting an arm like that, I think it would do wonders for this club. It would do wonders trying to like piece the Rebleskis and the, you know, Casperius's together and all of that.
Starting point is 00:30:03 I wouldn't take conform. You know what's crazy? Manny Man 5. First of all, that's rude. Second of all, my landscapers just showed up talking about, I want to see if it's conformo. I don't think it is,
Starting point is 00:30:11 but they just showed up. That's not nice. It's a day off. That's not nice. But we'll revisit all of this probably in like two, three weeks, definitely after the Padre series, where the Dodger stand,
Starting point is 00:30:21 where the rest of the league stands. but we are... In the Giants series and then the Padres series? Well, after the Padres Day. I want to see the next seven games and see how everything shakes out because we got three against the Giants and then four more against the Padres. And that's where there's going to be a lot of moving. There could be a lot of moving in the NOS or we just do this thing where we're playing musical chairs, but the Dodgers keep staying on top, knock on desk.
Starting point is 00:30:43 That is the hope for everybody. But this team just needs time and we got about, what, six, seven weeks until train deadline is here. things will be okay. We should be feeling better after the Dodgers take two or three from the Padres. But anyways, that was fun. I enjoy talking trade deadline. That's the happiest time of the year. I mean, we can talk about it all the time,
Starting point is 00:31:04 but there's always things that we want to speak. All right, we're going to finish things up here on Dodgers territory with Clint Pisces, Alana Rizzo, in a moment after a quick word from foul territory. Starting point is 00:34:20 All right, guys, on my dog loving folks here on Dodgers territory, we appreciate this opportunity to introduce you to Sunny. Now, Sunny was left in the high desert, basically the Yucca Valley area by his owner, just left him behind. I guess his owner fell on hard times, and his owner just left his dog. Don't get me started, but that's not the time nor the place. He's a lab healer mix. Thankfully, I was able to get him into a foster.
Starting point is 00:34:42 He's being fostered in Huntington Beach right now. He is going to the vet this afternoon, 3 o'clock California time, to get an overall wellness check and get a appointment for a neuter scheduled. We need an adopter for him. He is a good boy. He's big. He's about 70 to 75 pounds. He's good with other dogs. He's good with cats.
Starting point is 00:35:00 He's good with kids. And he's a love. And his whole world was flipped upside down because he was loyal to his owner for three years. We believe he's about three years old and his owner left him behind. So let's spread the word on Sunny. We definitely need donations as well. And Guidry's guardian.org, it's expensive. Rescue is expensive.
Starting point is 00:35:20 I've never taken a paycheck. I don't get paid for this. It's just a passion project. So please reach out. If you're interested in learning more about Sunny, we always appreciate that very much. All right. So you also have the auction going on as well.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Don't forget, we haven't mentioned that. Yeah, and we'll pump that on Monday because there's about a week and change left to bid. But yeah, there's an auction for four amazing field level seats and free parking at Dodger Stadium for the 4th of July game. So you know there's going to be fireworks, all the things, probably the drone show. Fireworks because they're playing the Astros.
Starting point is 00:35:51 That's right. So you can go boo the Astros, bring your garbage cans, everybody. But yeah, there's four great tickets donated by a Gidreys Guardian supporter and massive Dodger fan. Anita Olson, you can bid. Check it out on my social. It's all over my social, but it's all for the pups. All right. So finally the Giants, Clint.
Starting point is 00:36:10 We were excited about playing the Padres. But now we get to play San Francisco, a team I think is. better this year than we gave him credit for. Yeah. You know, I was expecting them to be better last year and then just injuries kept happening. But we saw, you know what, it feels so weird to credit player of baseball operations Buster Posey. But credit player baseball operations Buster Posey. He's got a fucking great job there.
Starting point is 00:36:36 They made some moves that took a little bit of time to kind of pan out. The Robbie Ray move has been exceptional. Of course, Jung Hu Lee. Being healthy has been phenomenal for this team. The whole league ends. And it's just baseball is better when the Dodgers and the Giants are playing each other and the both teams are playing well. And the Giants right now are half game behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Starting point is 00:37:03 I think they play. Yeah, they have one more against the Rockies. They're playing right now. So we could enter that series either with a one game lead or virtually tied with the San Francisco Giants. So it's going to be a fun three. game series. Giants all TBDs so far, but the Dodgers are bringing out their best, if this is what we call their best, right at the top, Friday, Yamamoto Day at Dodger Stadium, but then you got Kershaw coming off his best start of the year, and Dustin May, who's had success
Starting point is 00:37:30 in his career against the Giants as well. But Giants, I love this. I love when the teams that were fine or good, and it reminds me of the great rivalry, of the, you know, the long time rivalry, even when these two teams were back in New York before both of the teams came west to San Francisco and Los Angeles. So it'll be a good one. All right. So do you have an all Dodgers tonight or you wait until Saturday? No, not tonight. It will be Saturday. But tonight, thanks to the Fowell Territory Network, I'm going to Max Muncie and Kelly Muncie's a wine event. So I'm going to get tow up. Yeah, so yeah, that's going to be awesome for you. It's a charity event put on by Max Muncie, obviously, who by the way, confirmed that there is no rivalry with
Starting point is 00:38:09 the Padres. He said the only rivalry with the Dodgers is the Giants. So there you have it. Enjoy that tonight. I hope they make a ton of money for charity. It's great. Enjoy it. If you're going to drink wine, because you're not used to drinking wine, don't drink and drive. Listen to your big sister.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Just take it a freaking Uber. Okay? Take an Uber. All right. You guys, you let me. Yeah, no, I'm not. I'm sorry. I'm not taking a car that no one's driving.
Starting point is 00:38:34 That's just freaking I can't. I'm too old for that shit. All right. I love you guys. Thanks for being here. Clint and I will be back with a fresh episode on Monday. After a really good series, hopefully with the Giants.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Appreciate you guys being a part of it. Go Dodger. We'll see you soon. Dodger sweep. Okay, bye. Ever feel like your bedroom's shrinking? Don't worry.
