Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Lori Siegel, and this is mostly human, a tech podcast through a human lens. This week, an interview with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. I think society is going to decide that creators of AI products bear a tremendous amount of responsibility to the products we put out in the world. An in-depth conversation with a man who's shaping our future. My highest order bit is to not destroy the world with AI. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. Ready for a different take on Formula One? further than No Grip, a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted
Starting point is 00:00:37 series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F1, including the astrology of the current grid, the story of the sports most consequential driver's strike, and plenty of other mishapshack scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, gumster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to No Grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ten shots, five, City Hall Building. in the City Hall. Somebody tell me that. A shocking public murder.
Starting point is 00:01:09 This is one of the most dramatic events that really ever happened in New York City politics. I scream, get down, get down. Those are shots. A tragedy that's now forgotten. End of mystery. That may or may not have been political. It may have been about sex.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Listen to Roershack, murder at City Hall on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Dodger fans, I'm not. trying to downplay your concerns. But six game sample size, we have 150-ish to go. Every team in baseball history has slumped. And welcome to the Thursday edition of Dodgers Territory.
Starting point is 00:02:00 We are your crew, Alana Rizzo, Katie Wu, Clint Paseas with you in the house. So psyched that you guys are with us. Please rate us five stars. Like and subscribe to the Dodgers Territory podcast on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your pods. And of course, on YouTube as we try to make our way to 20,000. And subs. All right, let's get to it, guys. Let's get into the big ticket. All right, Katie is in D.C. because that is where the Dodgers are going next. They have completed their first home stand of the season. They lose their first series as well. Katie, what was the pulse of the clubhouse after the game last night? They're not playing today, flying to D.C. But what was the, what was the pulse? What was the sense that you were getting of the guys? So I was not in the clubhouse yesterday because, because Beat Rider travel took a red eye to DC and made it.
Starting point is 00:02:57 But I can't say the vibe in the clubhouse overall is what you do expect it to be. There's just not a lot of panic right now. And I get it, Dodger fans. I'm not trying to downplay your concerns, but six game sample size, we have 150-ish to go. Every team in baseball, in baseball history, has slumped. It does not help that it's starting
Starting point is 00:03:19 in the first week of games. So it's kind of the only sample size that we have. But to sit here and say like, Mookie Betz, Kyle Tucker, Shohei Otani, all these guys are not going to hit is just not true. So I would say everyone just kind of like ready to go. They're ready for an off day today. You know, you have a young inexperienced national squad on the road
Starting point is 00:03:42 and to maybe like get right before a big World Series rematch. But I don't really think there's any concern. Just a kind of a sense of like, okay, it needs to be better. but no one's really pressing at this point. Yeah, Dave said yesterday after the game, you know, we said before the game, something. You know, they're getting pretty close to finding something after the game. I think we'll get our groove.
Starting point is 00:04:03 You got Dave and the Dodgers trying to get their groove back, unlike, not unlike Stella, but, yeah, the offense definitely has been a struggle, bit of a shock to open this season. Katie, you mentioned really the top of the offense, the top of the lineup. I got some numbers. here we'll throw up on the screen top of the order 17 for 90 it's a 189 average if I did my math
Starting point is 00:04:26 right which I'm bad at math but hitting 237 as a team they're pretty middle of the pack the on base feels low for this team the slug feels low for this team it also feels like they're striking out a whole bunch they're kind of not but um you know alana this is just this is not the um the start we were expecting after the Kyle Tucker edition after you know a healthy full healthy offseason for Mookie and Teo and all that like we talked about. And same with Freddie. Your thoughts. This is the last thing I'll say about this.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Stop with the panic button, everybody out there that's freaking out that the Dodgers are four and two. It is okay, you guys. It is okay. I was talking to some of the folks that have played this great game of ours. The worst thing that they can do right now is that cliche that you always hear about pressing too much and trying to be the hero and stepping up to the plate with nobody on base and trying to hit a five run home run. That's the last thing that this team needs to do.
Starting point is 00:05:19 What they need to do is work the counts. They need to get on base. They need to play small ball. I know that that is very cliche. But work the counts, force the opposition to throw a lot of pitches. Draw that walk. Don't be afraid to draw that walk, guys. Don't be afraid to be selective in terms of the pitch selection.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Wait for that pitch to hit. Wait for your pitch to hit. Get a dude on, bunt a guy over, draw the walk and pass the baton. Nobody needs to be the hero. And that's the beauty of this team is that there are so many heroes. And at any given moment, up and down the lineup, Andy Pahas, man, he's been the offense, right? For the Dodgers so far, it's like anywhere up and down the lineup, it will click. And they always say, another cliche, winning is contagious, hitting is contagious.
Starting point is 00:06:02 And I think that they're going to be fine. Obviously, a day off today. Then they will start a series, as Katie mentioned, against the Nationals before taking on the Toronto Blue Jays, all on the road. I'm not worried about this club in the least bit. You know that they're going to get it going. Dave said as much. to find their groove. Freddie was like, calm down. It's the first week of the season. I'm okay with this. Another thing I don't want to hear anymore, Clint, and I'm going to tee you
Starting point is 00:06:28 up on this because you so wonderfully put this in our rundown. Is it too early to have a World Series hangover? Stop. You know what you do with that? The hair of the dog. You just go right back and drink again. My bottle is empty. Yeah, I'll take this first. I'm interested in Katie's thoughts because this is the first time been around being around a winning ball club for a little while with all due respect to St. Louis Cardinals. But yeah, people are obviously going to, you get into panic mode and you try to find excuses. You try to find what's the causation for the Dodger offense being non-existent right now? Well, they just won a World Series. Is there a hangover?
Starting point is 00:07:07 Do they not know how to deal with this? Well, they better because they just did it. And I felt in my bones coming out of spring training all through spring training. Like you saw a sense of motivation. I think going back to back is one thing. You do have that maybe a hint of the World Series hangover. But we're talking about trying for a three-ped here. These boys know what the F they're doing.
Starting point is 00:07:31 They know how to get it up for a season. They understand that, yeah, 162 is a lot of baseball. But wins matter as much in April and March as they do in September when you're trying to not coast into the postseason, but at least not have a hectic sprint through October or sorry through September into the postseason. To the question, is it too early for World Series hangover conversation? App so fucking lootly. It is way too early. Six goddamn games into the season.
Starting point is 00:08:05 But at some point, you can throw anything at, you know, throw any shit out a fan. It might stick. It might hit. I guess you don't stick when it hits the fan. I'm not worried. at the wall. I think you're supposed to throw it at the wall and see if it sticks. And then if it doesn't, then it hits the fan and then it starts going like this. That's what happens when you slam those cliches together. It hits wall. It hits into the fan and then goes like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Right. We're not there yet. Right. We're telling. We got vibes. We got a hotel room. We got, we got, we got, we got, uh, the old exposure here. We got Katie's bed made because she just got in. So we're in a good spot. This was a this is not how my hotel usually usually is. You guys can't see what I've turned into the laundry corner already despite being here for 10 minutes. So, uh, but yeah, what are your thoughts about that, that kind of conversation? Because, you know, you're a lot more, uh, nationally, um, national than we are. I'm sure you're going to get some people in the DMs, getting some conversation trying to be like, oh, what's wrong at the Dodgers? You show up. They suck. Like, what do you feel? Why are you putting that on her? That's not. That is a fear of mine.
Starting point is 00:09:13 It's the internet. It's what they do. But, no, I, I, it's six games. And again, I don't want to diminish fans because as a fan, it's kind of your right of passage to overreact. We have 162 games and every baseball team's guaranteed to lose at least 60 games. And in those 60 games, every baseball fan acts like the season is over. So I understand.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And I get the angst, but really there's not a World Series hangover. And I think, if anything, these guys because they've just won two in a row have even less maybe there may be less likely to panic because they know what it takes to bounce back and slums are going to happen again let's take freddie freeman for example he had a lot of loud outs a lot of morning track power a lot of barrels and not a lot to show for it until the ninth inning last night that's not sustainable for freddie freeman that those are going to fall those are going to drop mooky betts is going to figure it out showy o'tani is going to figure it out to asker hernandez going to figure it out so
Starting point is 00:10:13 I wouldn't say it's a hangover. It's just baseball. It just gets compounded because we don't have any other sample size to look at. I mean, for as bad as the Dodgers offense collectively has been, I don't think it's been bad at baths or a bad approach. I think there's been a lot of situational hitting. And I think that's how they won their two games or their three games against the debacks. So no, we don't need to panic. I get why. I get why fans are. But again, six games, two series. They're still four and two. The pitching is. been really solid. I'm sure we'll get to that. Let's all take a collective deep breath and maybe the Washington Nationals can fix this. I mean, honestly, it's so silly that we're even talking about this. The best, the teams with the best record in baseball are five and one. They've won one more game than the Dodgers have. Like, it's enough with this already. And to Katie's point,
Starting point is 00:11:01 I wanted to expand on that just a little bit. Blake Harris tweeted this earlier about the fact that, yes, it is a very small sample size, but it is ugly, right? Otani, a 167 average, Tucker, 174, down the line, bets 136, Freddie 208, Will Smith is at the Mendoza line, Muncie, 286. He looks, you know, he looks, okay, fine, whatever. So far on this season, at 238 average for Teosca Hernandez. Andy Pahas, 429. Let's give him some props, too. But honestly, you know that those guys are at the top and the middle of the heart of the
Starting point is 00:11:31 order for a reason. Guys, we're four and two, like calm down a little bit. I mean, it's just, it's silly to think that this team is not going to produce. And again, you know, it's a, it's a. It's a good timing of the road trip, Clint, is it not? Yeah, I really feel like this team, you know, winning breeds chemistry and all that kind of stuff. But this team really gels when they are together on the road. They'll go out.
Starting point is 00:11:58 They'll probably be, well, not probably, they will be in D.C. tonight. They'll grab dinner. They'll have plenty of drinks. The tequila will be flowing, you know, courtesy of Miguel Rojas. And they'll start to feel all of that pressure. All of that weight come off of their shoulders. I mean, this season opened with opening day, banner raising, ring ceremony, Kershaw is still hanging around.
Starting point is 00:12:23 They also need to figure out who they are without Clayton Kershaw. I don't think this is a situation where Kersh is, or the lack of Kersh, is causing any of this or leading to any of this. But there was a lot of pomp and circumstance, and combined with the expectations, there's just a lot of noise. Now you get on the road and you get to just be yourselves. You get to be the Los Angeles Dodgers, and you go and take advantage of the Washington Nationals on the road. And then you pay a visit to the Toronto Blue Jays next week.
Starting point is 00:12:52 And I'm sure that's going to get the, it's going to get the blood pressure going a little bit again. It's going to get the heart racing, if you will. So I'm excited. I think this is a perfectly timed road trip. And I have a note about this. It is fine. It is. It's a good time to road trip.
Starting point is 00:13:07 But also I know we say that we can write the ship, the ship that's not even broken. with the Washington Nationals. Let's not overlook them, though. Let's not let this be a trap series and then lose two of three to the Nationals before we head to Toronto, where you know they're circling, especially the Blue Jays fans and players are circling that already on the calendar. All right, much more to come on Dodgers territory with myself, with Katie, with Clint. First award from our friends at Fowl. This episode is brought to you by Fox One.

Fox One, streaming now. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind.
Starting point is 00:14:24 And now, I've got my own show. If you're tired of lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies, available on all TSN platforms in the IHeart Radio app. All right. Say some words. So I wanted to say some words. I'm sorry, I missed your notes.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Yeah, you're not paying attention to Slack, which is really the commander-in-chief of our show. And Clint chooses to pay attention to it when he wants to. So I said, Clint, why don't you tee up Katie on Shohei Otani in the injury? So I'll go ahead and do that. So anyway, Katie, I know that Sho-Hay-O-Tani was kind of, you know, shaking his hand, shaking his arm a little bit, shaking his right wrist after his last at bat.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Adrian Medina posting this on the Twitter sphere. And Dave Robert said, I don't know. I saw that too after that last strikeout. So I'll get a report from Thomas Albert after the session. Thomas Albert is one of the Dodgers trainers. Katie, any more in terms of that? And anytime you think of Shohei Otani and injury in the same sentence, Dodgers Nation, their heart stops.
Starting point is 00:15:32 I get it. Mine too. I understand. But no, no news. And I think no news is good news on this front, but it's very rare for a team to have news on an off day anyway. So that will certainly be the first thing that we asked Dave Robert. it's tomorrow morning, National's home opener.
Starting point is 00:15:46 So we'll have hopefully some clarity soon. I think in showy's case, obviously much better to be safe than sorry. So we'll see how it goes. I do think it's interesting that Dave said, hey, I saw that too, and that they are going to go ask about it. But I'm big on the let's not panic until we have to. And also just kind of in general living in a different kind of world. So I will see.
Starting point is 00:16:12 But is it a concern? Yes, just because it's Shohei. But we'll have more clarity on what that means for Otani. Hopefully nothing tomorrow morning. All right. So there were some, nope, forget it. Now I'm talking over you. So there were some acquisitions, if you will, guys. The Dodgers acquired left-hander Jake Eder from the Washington National. So I guess he doesn't have to go that far in exchange for cash considerations. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred right-hand or Jake Cousins to the 60-day injured list. So that is one of the moves that the Dodgers made. Another move, guys, and Clint, you can talk about this. They claimed right-hander Grant Holman from the debacks in order to make room for Holman on the 40-man. The Dodgers transferred right-hander Gavin Stone to the 60-day injured list.
Starting point is 00:16:57 And that, to me, of all the things, is the headliner for this. Yeah, 100%. I mean, this is somebody we were just talking about on Monday as well. A guy, even before the show, we were talking about, you know, somebody like Gavin Stone, River Ryan, guys are going to need as they look to bridge the gap with the starting rotation. But Gavin Stone, obviously, he had his one start in spring training looked really good, and then the shoulder started barking on him. I've heard different things, different people feeling that it's worse than it is,
Starting point is 00:17:26 but right now the organization seems to have a positive look on it. Katie, obviously, you got an update about that. We'll get your thoughts in a second. but all as we know is he's basically at like the start of spring training. So best case scenario, what are we looking at? Like a month away, Katie, something like that, probably a month and a half before we could start to see Gavin Stone, maybe even head out on a rehab assignment. Yeah, I think that's what's interesting.
Starting point is 00:17:54 I agree with you, Alana. That's the takeaway here is moving Gavin Stone to the 60 because it just gives you a better timetable. I haven't seen any notes on if that's retroactive. I will follow up on that. But I think that just goes to show where. he is and they're going to be so cautious with him and River Ryan coming back from these major surgeries. We talked to Dave Roberts about Gavin Stone earlier in the homestand and he said he had
Starting point is 00:18:14 been throwing, but I believe it was off flat ground, nothing close to a bullpen yet. So kind of hard to estimate what that looks like because it's not just a regular ramp up. You know, he's already been shut down once and that's a shame because his one inning in spring did look pretty promising. The change up looked good. But again, they're going to be cautious. Same with River Ryan's usage. He's not throwing in Oklahoma City right now. He's logging some SIM games in Arizona just because he's coming back from such a big surgery. So not great news for the Dodgers pitching depth. I know we talked a lot in spring about how much they have of it,
Starting point is 00:18:47 but that's the thing. You have enough pitching depth until you don't. So all eyes are who threw another bullpen at Dodgers Stadium, still targeting around mid-May, end of May for his return. But we might not see Gavin Stone for a little bit. All right. So that led me to this question for you, Katie. Any, well, I guess it's a two-parter.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Any update on Blake Snell and also moving forward with the off day today and then the three game set against the nationals in D.C. Is that rotation plan, she and Glasgow and then have you seen enough of Sasaki to not have a piggyback backup plan coming out of the bullpen like for maybe a long man, like the Robleski situation, although the first time that didn't work out. so well. Yes. So let's just a quick touch on Blake Snell, not a lot of just again, the bullpen and there still isn't a definitive timetable or time like specific date they're looking at. But again, mid-May, end of May seems to be the most likely option. Blake knows his body. He's a
Starting point is 00:19:48 pro. He's been around in good spirits around the guys the last week or so. The sooner they get him back, the better. But they certainly won't rush him because you need a healthy Blake Snell. You just, you don't need just Blake Snow. You need a healthy Blake Snow and an available Blake Snell, especially in the second half. So we'll see more about that. But you make a good point, Alana, about Roki Sasaki and the kind of hybrid six-man rotation. And we knew this is coming.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Dave Roberts had been advertising this since before spring training started. Justin Rebleski was going to take at least one or two spot starts. That's going to happen in this next road trip. They are going to go unless something changes before tomorrow morning. She and Glass now Sasaki against the nationals. We'll see some version of Robleski. and then Otani, I believe, is supposed to take the last start of that Blue Jays series that stacks, similar to what they did last year, stacks Otani up to pitch right before scheduled off day.
Starting point is 00:20:39 The team is off again next Thursday. I do agree that I don't think we've seen enough from Roki Sasaki to not have Robleski in that piggyback zone for him. And you risk yourself being exposed because this is a stretch of six games where the Dodgers don't have an off day. And if something goes wrong with Sasaki, you don't have Roblesky to come in. And yeah, I know it didn't necessarily go well. I think he was one pitch away from a completely different line.
Starting point is 00:21:07 But this is where it can get a little dicey with how the Dodgers are going to really prioritize resting and recovering Otani. And giving these starts to other guys, Sasaki has to step up because they don't have a break glass in case of emergency plan with Robleski if he's going to take that spot start. And this is where it gets really tough for Mark Pryor and Dave Roberts because you can't script outings for these guys. Emmett Sheehan also didn't look particularly strong. Again, I don't like to overreact to one start. But if they need length, Justin Rebluski is their guy, but they need Justin Robleski to take a start against the Blue Jays. So I'm interested to see how Mark Pryor, Dave Roberts, navigate this out.
Starting point is 00:21:44 What is sort of like the break case, you know, break glass in case of emergency plan if they need to bring up some either length or another starter? Who do they kind of have ready to go? That will be my first question. Well, my second question. The first question today will be about Shoah's wrist. The second one will be, how are you going to cover the innings? And look, we can sit here and talk about it, and this is what makes baseball so fun.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Sasaki can go out there, and, you know, I still don't think they're going to let him go through a third time through the order until he proves a little bit more consistency. But he can go out there and give them some length and she can have a much better result than last time and log more innings. And this is no longer that big of a concern. Right now, though, based on their first two starts, you know, three, three and a third for Emmett, Shee and four for Roki, you still need guys to cover innings. You have some guys that can go in, you know, I think minus Tanner Scott's performance yesterday. He's looked a lot better. Alex Bessias looked strong, Will Klein.
Starting point is 00:22:39 So there are options. But if one of these guys is unable to really match their innings and you don't have robust available, that's where I think it gets a little dicey for Dave Roberts and his staff. Katie, if you and your counterpart there with the athletic Fabian Ardaya talking about Cho Hay's next pitching outing will likely be the last day in Toronto. You mentioned that he also, Dave Roberts did, reiterated from last night that Robleski will start one of the games, as you mentioned as well. Why do you think, or not why do you think, but the usage with Otani and the Dodgers operating conservatively. I mean, this is a plan that has been, I would imagine, in the works for a long
Starting point is 00:23:17 time, right? Like they knew what they were getting, having him come off of not pitching it all last year. What more can you tell us about just that consistency in that plan of being conservative? Well, this is the first time that the Dodgers have had Otani as the full season two-way player and they'd like to keep it that way. The last time Otani gna gnached over, I believe 23 starts came in 2022 with the Angels. So they have to be conservative with his usage. And this is something that I think Otani is also on board with. He mentioned after his start earlier in the week that in 2022, it felt like a heavy workload, high intensity. He felt a lot more loose, a lot more easy this spring. Didn't feel 100% that way in his first start, but certainly
Starting point is 00:23:57 an improvement. And it's all about keeping him healthy. Because again, this goes back to kind of the lack of options right now that the Dodgers have in their rotation. You need Shohei Otani in the rotation. And that's something that he takes very seriously. When he is pitching, that is his prime focus. He goes into another gear, another level. And I think he wants to prove that he is still one of the most, one of the premier pitchers in the National League. And to do that, you have to be smart about when they use him. He's coming off his second significant elbow surgery. These are all things the Dodgers have to take into consideration,
Starting point is 00:24:29 and they will be very cognizant over how they use him because he is a two-way player. You know, resting every pitcher and giving them the best runway and the best recovery plan, especially in April where pitching injuries are statistically at their highest, that's important. But you add in a whole other dynamic with the two-way hitting lead off. He's not going to take a day off. They're going to have to build in rest days. that's something that's just smart baseball.
Starting point is 00:24:52 And I think Otani sees that as well. It just does complicate things a little bit as Blake Snell is on the IL and with Robleski needed to kind of cover some innings here. That's why I think there's so much, I don't want to say pressure, but a little bit of pressure on Glass now to pick up where he left off this spring, on Roki to figure it out, on Sheehan to better establish that velocity because you don't want the Dodgers to get to a place where they can't cover innings. They've already said the way that Otani pitches is not going to change their plan.
Starting point is 00:25:19 could go out and be lights out. They're still going to give him extra rest days, which means other guys in the rotation also have to step up and go longer while also being cognizant of their own health too. It's complicated, you guys. It's complicated. Well, on Max, or Max Muncie on Fowell territory said that regardless of the fact of how good of a hitter Otani is, he loves pitching. He just, he wants to pitch. Like, that's what he enjoys doing more than even the offensive dominance that he has when he is at the plate. All right, let's get to last looks and talk about Up. Starting point is 00:26:25 Wouldn't you know it? Michael Schumacher is also a Capricorn Sun, Cancer Moon. The story of the sports most consequential driver strike. We have one man who, upon hearing that he was going to be fired, freaked out, and apparently climbed out the window of the bathroom. And was Daniel Ricardo's illustrious F1 career, a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both? He started getting all this attention, and he maybe started to start to be.
Starting point is 00:26:49 to think I'm bigger than this. I'm better. And plenty of other mishap, scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, and I'm mostly human. I go beyond the headlines with the people building our future. This week, an interview with one of the most influential figures in Silicon Valley, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. I think society is going to decide that creators of AI products bear a tremendous amount of responsibility to products we put out in the world.
Starting point is 00:27:26 From power to parenthood. Kids, teenagers, I think they won't need a lot of guardrails around AI. This is such a powerful and such a new thing. From addiction to acceleration. The world we live in is a competitive world. And I don't think that's going to stop. Even if you did a lot of redistribution, you know, we have a deep desire to excel and be competitive and gain status and be useful to others. And it's a multiplayer game.
Starting point is 00:27:49 What does the man who has extraordinary influence over our lives have to say about the weight of that responsibility? Find out on Mostly Human. My highest order bit is to not destroy the world with AI. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. I like that you know my foundation more than I do. So this is an opportunity, guys, to bid on... I have no idea why it's missing. Anyway, I'll tell you about it.
Starting point is 00:28:23 It's okay. Four field level seats. as well as parking at Dodgers Stadium for the April 13th game. The Mets are coming into town. The mighty Mets are coming into town who have a worse record, I think, than the Dodgers. And you get four field level seats
Starting point is 00:28:40 right behind the on deck circle, parking at the stadium and every single cent goes to dogs in need. Anita Olson, a tremendous supporter of Guidry's Guardian Foundation and a massive Dodger fan has donated this package. Again, every single cent goes to dogs in need. 32 auctions.com. slash April 13th. That is where you create a free account and then you can bid highest bid wins
Starting point is 00:29:03 the tickets. So the auction ends on Monday the 6th and then the game is on Monday the 13th. Okay. Thoughts for the road. The Yamamoto bobblehead doll was one of the coolest bobbleheads I've ever seen. And Katie, you have one. You saw it in person. That is just awesome. And she didn't steal one for us. I'm sorry. I tried. No, I was afraid I was going to yell that if I asked for another one. But, no, it's, I got a lot of flack last episode for not having any Dodger bobbleheads, even though I just moved here. That one's literally front and center on my desk. It is so cool. I loved the whole theme night. One of the best bobblehead ideas I've seen in a while. So 10 out of 10. If you have one, consider yourself lucky. It's like one of my favorite things right now. Alana, what about your, what is your favorite like all-time bobblehead? I feel like we've talked about this before. but maybe it's changed. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:57 The Yoshi one was pretty cool. I'm not a huge bobblehead collector. I did like the, I have it. I did like the Ice Cube one when he came in two years ago after they won in the Cadillac with the, with the trophy. I thought that one was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Scott Braun sent me this one of Clayton with his left arm. We can't really see it, but his left arm on fire because, you know, he used to just throw heat. Clayton did. I'm not a huge bobblehead person, but the Yoshi one, if anybody, if anybody has an extra,
Starting point is 00:30:24 I mean, by the way, they're going on the black market for a bazillion dollars already. So people go there and they get them and then they try to sell them, which is annoying. So if anybody wants to shoot one to Clinton and I, you let us know. My favorite, one of my favorite theme bobbleheads was the Oral One Kenobi. Oh, that's cool. That was, they do great, great work. Of course, also back there blurred out, I got my Alana Rizzo bobblehead. Yeah, I mean, that one really is worth millions.
Starting point is 00:30:52 You should put that one in a safe, really. It was a bobblehead of me above my head right there. Oh, yeah. I got that one going. Shout out. Switchy and DeVore. You guys cursed me a little bit because you said I had too many cardinal bobbleheads. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:31:06 That's fair, even though I only had three. But one fell. So rest in peace to by Paul Goldschmidt MVP, now beheaded bobblehead. Oh, my goodness. We put the hex on your stuff. Sorry, Goldie. Hey, we got a couple of seconds here. The other thing I wanted to bring up
Starting point is 00:31:25 that's in this lore of people collecting things and paying a lot of money for them later on, the cup. We have not talked about the stupid cup here on the show. $75 it started out as, and you could refill it as much as you want one day, and then the Dodgers got a bunch of shit about it, and then it was lowered to $68.99, so $69. And you could bring it all season long, which just sounds nasty. You know what a pain in the ass that must be, though,
Starting point is 00:31:53 to remember every single time that you have to bring the stupid tumbler with you and then like carry it through and like I mean I love the tumbler but I'm not paying $70 to $75 and then have to remember every single time and you only can refill it with soda like if you could refill it with like something else. Tomarne then we're now we're talking about tea. See I knew. See I knew heen on the rib or something like I mean $75. God bless you. I knew I understood why she fit in so well with us, Riz. She went to the Morg first.
Starting point is 00:32:27 Yeah. Obviously. I'm on the road, guys. I'm on road mode. And by the way, a final, final thought for the road. Happy upcoming 30th birthday to Katie Wu on Saturday. Katie will be 30 finally. Welcome to the third floor, kid.
Starting point is 00:32:45 On Saturday. So everybody wish Katie a happy birthday. Be safe out there in Crazy D. and then we're back on Monday. Yeah, that's the plan. We're back on Monday. Okay, guys. And the Dodgers are going to sweet.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Okay. Just going to sweet. Why not? All right, sure, sure. All right, Dodgers Territory Shop.com for all of our cool stuff, you will not find a $75 mug on there. This is one of the most dramatic events that really ever happened in New York City politics. I scream, get down, get down. Those are shots. A tragedy that's now forgotten. And a mystery that may or may not have been political.
Starting point is 00:34:55 That may have been about sex. Listen to Roershack, murder at City Hall, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your. podcasts.
