And I'm like, who is this person?
Welcome to the Boys and Girls podcast.
Arranged Marriage is basically a reality show
and you're auditioning for your soulmate.
And who's judging?
Only your entire family?
I sacrificed myself to this ancient tradition,
hoping to find love the right way.
And instead, I found chaos, comedy and a lot of cringe.

We get the two frontrunners for the nationally most valuable player facing off in the LCS, but
Dodgers got something going here.
Can we just take a minute to dance because we are on our way to the NLCS?
Hello everybody and welcome to a brand new episode of Dodgers Territory.
We are your host, Alana Rizzo.
So Clint Pissius, I tell you what, my friend, we are on the way to the championship series.
We needed to see a blueprint of what happened in game four to go in game five.
It did it.
They won.
We are advancing.
And now I feel like the sky is the limit.
Clint, we did it.
Listen, we had worries.
We had concerns.
It was beat those Padres.
And boy, howdy, did they beat them Padres?
A couple of Hernandez boys going off for your Dodgers tonight, by the way, including Teoscar Hernandez.
But the real hero of the game, I would argue, has got to be our guy Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who, listen, you had some worries.
You had some trepidations about Yamamoto.
But he showed what he was signed for.
He went out there, gave this team a dominant performance.
and going to go meet the Mets, greet the Mets, and hopefully beat the Mets in New York on Sunday.
I have to say, I apologize.
You are right.
I can admit when I'm wrong.
I can say I'm sorry.
I can admit when I am wrong.
And I needed to see something out of Yamamoto.
And he showed it to me tonight.
I was concerned that he had only pitched 90 innings in the regular season.
I was concerned that he hadn't really shown me much.
And he showed me something tonight.
And I tell you,
it didn't matter that it was such a close game.
Everything just kind of felt right.
Good for him.
Good for the offense.
Good for all of it.
Because my goodness, like what a, what a blessing.
And like a, it just, it was like, I am so thrilled.
What a confidence boost to get Yamamoto where he needed to be.
I love seeing Kike Hernandez in the lineup.
So the Hernandez is, if you.
will the kike's they teoskers all of the things this is what happens oh tani oh for four
bets oh for three freeman one for three but teoscar one for three and rike kike one for three
and that's all you needed it was it was two runs that's it but yamamoto did what you needed to do
the bullpen did what they needed to do you guys we're going to the n lcs against the met's
meet the met i i couldn't i could not be more thrilled i'm i've never been more happy
to be wrong because I had picked the Padres in five. I did. I picked the Padres in five. I was wrong.
It was the Dodgers in five. I've never been more happy to be wrong in my life.
Yeah, we got what we wanted here. Hold on. I got to find the right, right button because I do want to get
some chats in here. We got a $20 super chat from how do I, we're learning some things here,
guys. So, so bear with us along the way. But the important thing is the Dodgers, they're advancing.
are going there are some people who had some issues had concerns with this team this team falling
apart i said time and time again this year their pets our pets heads are falling off uh freddie freeman
looking terrible when he was running but the bat is in there for a reason listen hold on wait
where's the bottle for victor for my guy victor the good stuff the good stuff for victor oh wow victor
thanks for participating pop those bottles a $20 super chat from victor like clen's choking but it's
Ghost Bear.
Glad Alana was wrong.
You know what?
Ghost bear.
I'm glad I was wrong too.
I'm glad Alana was wrong about Yoshi and San Diego.
Same.
Same.
I could not be more happy to be wrong in this situation.
Where was that all year?
Right, Maddie?
Like, seriously, like, where was that all year?
Like, it's not, like, I wasn't just making this stuff up.
What a performance.
Like, everything that would, that needed to happen.
And you're thinking like, okay, I need a laffer.
I need a laffer to feel like confidence that they're going to move on to the
You see us. No, it wasn't a laffer. Two nothing's not a lapper. And they figured it out. Yoshinovo Yamamoto five innings. Five innings. Five innings. Five innings. Five innings. No urd runs and two strikeouts. Oh my God. Where is this been on my life? By the way. Can we talk about the Dodger defense in this game? Max Munty turning. You can talk about all of it. Talk about all of it. Of course we're going to get a lot more in into the chat. I should probably put up some some video of the show or or things going on.
there. Look at that. We got Yamamoto showing off, showing out, showing off. Again, showing exactly
what he was signed for. 325 gets one, two, three first inning there. Huge double play later in the
game as well. Luckily, I mean, he made short work of Fernando Tatease in this game, by the way,
beautifully executed turn there from from munsey to to to lux to freddie there and how about this guy
going yard your guy kike frucking hernandez i'm telling you man that's that's the thing i i just
felt like he was like a massive positive cog in this whole puzzle right like i i get it like
He's not the greatest regular season player.
But he also doesn't get the opportunity to play every day.
But there's something that happens when the calendar turns to October.
Like TK.
J.
I know, right?
We see that happy guy on the screen.
But both the Hernandez's to Oscar and Kiki.
I'm just, I'm psyched.
I loved when the lineup came out today.
I was like, yep, that's the lineup.
That's the thing.
And it was a close game.
And it was a close game, but I never felt worried.
Right?
Like it was a close.
It was a tight-knit game.
And I was like, we got this.
And I had not felt that way before in terms of this series.
We felt worried at times.
But not today.
But not today.
I did not.
I didn't.
I didn't.
I did not feel worried today.
I was like, it's close.
It's a one-over.
It was a one.
After Kiki hit the home run, I was like, okay, it's a one-nothing game.
I was like, but I didn't, but I never, I wasn't worried today.
Like there was just something about it that I was like, okay, this is great.
You guys, we're going to the freaking NLCS.
Yes. I told you. I told you this the other day. I said, if we get out of this bugaboo round, we're going to the World Series. And I feel, I feel that.
And listen, when we saw Kika Hernandez, the game changer, the absolute game changer, I think, of the postseason for this team. There's a different aura. There's a different vibe. And we entered this postseason with me talking about aura on this team and this whole postseason running on aura and vibes and good times and hopefully some sunflower seeds.
Kike Hernandez, man.
Like this is, I was talking to a friend about it earlier today.
And Alana, I think you could probably back me up on this as well.
Listen, he knew he had something.
He knew he, we knew, we knew he had maybe a little bit of a budding postseason gene.
We saw it in the 2020 postseason as well.
But then he takes off.
He goes to Boston.
He puts together an incredible run there in that 2021 postseason for Boston.
It's like 400.
I think that's when it became real for him.
he's like, oh shit, I'm, I'm the fucking man here.
I am, I am like the shit.
All of the things people were telling me, this is real.
And then now you're getting him back.
You're getting this opportunity to, to, you know, just let it eat on the biggest stage.
And we said it yesterday, as much as we love, Miguel Rojas.
I'm sorry, Kika Hernandez's got to be in there moving forward.

I think coming out of where I came from, I'm from the Bronx.
I think I grew up really poor.
I didn't know that then because I very much used my creativity to romanticize life.
And I'm like, my mom did a really good job.
job of like you step back and you're like whoa we I don't know how we made it so a lot of my life

Babes, what are you doing?
What? I'm just mowing the lawn.
No, it's blazing hot and dry out here.
Don't you remember? Smokey Bear says,
Avoid using power equipment when it's windy or dry.
Where'd you learn this?
Oh, it's on...

Right. Thanks, honey, bear.
Because remember, only you can prevent wildfire.

Here's all you need to know.
And this is from Sarah, our producer.
Kike Hernandez has more postseason homers than Alex Rodriguez,
who, whatever the fuck, I don't care.
Miguel Cabrera, who I have an unbelievable amount of respect for,
the best, the sweetest right-handed swing I've ever seen in my life for Miguel
and Chipper Jones.
Kike Hernandez has more.
postseason home runs, then A-Rod, Miguel Cabrera, and Chipper Jones.
That's all you need of.
Alexander Guzman, 1999 Super Chat.
Let's go, Dodgers Hernandez-Bignat.
Yamma, no doubt.
Thank you guys so much for being a part of this program tonight.
We appreciate you guys so much on Dodgers territory.
That's the problem.
I love this chat, by the way.
Aaron Edick says you jinx the Padres.
So we thank you for that.
It was all you.
You used your magic for good.
in the boys in blue.
Listen,
I'm the asshole that picked the Padres in five.
I really thought that that was how it was going to go down.
I did.
That's how I thought I was going to go down.
But after they,
what they did in game four,
I was like,
if you could kind of do a blueprint of that in game five,
we've got a shot.
So I'm glad I was wrong.
Listen,
I'm glad I was wrong.
You told us that.
You told us you hope you're wrong.
You were looking to be wrong about,
you know,
your pick,
your professional pick.
The Padres came in hot,
looking good,
had a very good second.
happen. It doesn't matter when you got vibes. You got Dave Roberts. You guys know me. I'm a big
Oh, here we go. Now you're sending him. Never wavered once on Dave Hernandez put the perfect lineup together.
Abolshit. Abol shit. You like, you know that little kid that sits in the in the, in the, uh, you know, the little
have you seen the thing on it on the internet with that kid that's sitting in his like little car seat that's
like a bullshit? That's you. Because you've questioned. You've questioned. You've questioned.
Dave Roberts. Well, I mean, was I wrong? Was I mean, was I wrong too? Because that game was so bad. Like
game three coming off of game two, there was something missing there. And I'm going to say they
needed us to be inspired. They were inspired by us and our tirade after game three. And that's
what put them over the top. So really, you know, Alana, you're in line for your second Dodgers
World Series ring this year. We just got to keep it both.
going boys got to keep it going girls you know it you know what shitty is that i don't i don't get it i don't
get a ring this year because i'm not a part of the senior year but i tell you what this is something
that's so special like what what really stuck out to me about this game plan is that it was close
and i just said this it was super close but i never doubted them there was just a different
confidence there was a different aura i was like we've got this like we've totally got and
this is what we needed to see.
And now I truly feel like they can beat anybody.
Yeah, I mean, Mets are good.
We get the two front runners for the National League most valuable player facing off in the LCS.
So that's one of the best things you could hope for in baseball.
But Dodgers got something going here.
And guess what?
Jack Flaherty also fully rested for a game one start of the LCS.
That's what you want to see.
That's huge.
I want to apologize to Yoshinovou Yombo Yom.
I'm emotive because I didn't think he had anything and he did and I'm proud of you and I'm sorry.
We knew people in the know watching this team every day, which of course you do.
They knew something about that kid. He had that dog in him and we saw it.
I kept talking about that Yankee start we saw back in June or whatever it was before his shoulder disintegrated on him a little bit.
He had it there.
I don't know wrong button, but he had it there.
He had something.
And this is why they signed him.
This is why you give him $325 million because he could.
can go out there and he can give you their a give you an ace level performance yeah it's only five
innings he he gave you exactly um what you needed in this game and i you know shout out credit to the
dodgers i i kind of half reluctantly picked um uh when people are you know posting ideas or
asking the question yesterday on social media do you want it to be flarity everybody really wanted
another bullpen game some people of course wanted yamamoto was like you have to give
him the confidence in knowing like look we gave you all this money we believe in you and it's yeah
i understand it's not just about the money but we believe in you to be our ace for the next decade
plus and he went out there and he gave us an ace but honestly honestly credit to you because
i i just didn't feel that way about him i didn't feel like he was an ace i still don't feel like he's an
ace but credit to you for like really believing him and wanting to wanting him to start and all the
things, but I will say this. This is a team that like, again, it was not a laugh for today.
So it was something about the way they went about their business that I was like, I feel pretty
confident. I feel pretty good about this whole situation. Like what, what Yama was able to do,
what the offense was able to do, which was minimal, but it was enough. And I was like,
okay, they've got it. I don't think that like, I wasn't worried. Like, this is the one game I was
like I was sitting here watching it on the catch. I was like, I feel good about this. I feel good
about the one nothing. After Kike hit the homework, I was like, okay, it's one nothing. You're like,
that's, that's really not enough. But today it felt like it was enough. And then, you know,
to Oscar and the whole thing, I mean, if you look at the box score as we have it on the right hand
side of your screen, it's like one, two, three, four hits. Like that's not it. That's not,
doesn't like bow really well, right? Like four hits in the game. But it was enough. I just,
I did not, I did not feel nervous or.
uneasy about this game. Like it was like a really good confident like a warm fuzzy feeling.
And maybe it was because they were home. Maybe it was because they had gone through all of the
adversity. But they did it. They they flip and did it. And I'm glad I was wrong. I picked the
pod raisin five. I apologize, but they figured it out. And I'm very, very proud of this team.
I say we got we got a couple of super chats. One I'm going to read first for my guy, Kevin
Youhoss, $20 super chat. He says F Johnny no hustle. I'm buying a Kiki jersey and he
He said, Clint, you're my guy, and it's time to celebrate bullpen MVP of the series.
I mean, there's a few MVP's in this series.
The bullpen was electric.
Outside of game, too, did they allow a run in this series?
I don't think so.
I don't think the bullpen, beautiful, magical, Kopeck.
You know, you hope we're going to find out more about Vescia.
Of course, he exits didn't look very good there.
I mean, it didn't look like a terrible injury.
Hopefully it's not massive.
Yeah.
Hopefully his injury is not massive.
But let's get into another one from my guy,
Evan Yuhas as well. He says, oh, that is the same one. My bad. I thought he was just dropping a whole
bunch of money here. Sean Allen with a $1.99 super chat. Nothing in there outside of just good vibes.
He dropped another one as well saying, let's go. A bunch of friends in the chat. My guy,
Albert Gardia in the chat saying signed Dave Roberts to a multi-year million-dollar deal.
I will no longer curse his name. That is the beauty of being a fan, right? It's like fanatics or
fickle being like like they're fickle beings you know it's like that's that's the beauty of being a fan
and that's why i think sports are so beautiful it's like you want dave's head on a flatter but all of a sudden
it's like dave's the man and that's why being a fan of a team is so amazing and that's why being
a fan of a team that does really well every single yeah i agree with you the dudes you know i'm
step the hell up tonight i was i needed that i needed to see that in him and he did and i'm excited and
I'm glad I'm wrong.
Like I don't want, I never want the Dodgers to fail.
I mean, this was, this was a good, good night.
And it was like, I just, I have not had this much confidence in a team in this team for a while.
And it was like, again, like I said before, it was like it was like a very close game, one nothing.
But I just, there was something about it that like really resonated like, okay, this is, this is it.
Maybe Kiki's solo shot is enough.
And it was great and the crowd was into it and it was awesome and here we are and we're about to
We're about to go to the fricking nLCS. This is exciting people. This was the hardest
round to get out of the last three years and they did it. They got out of this round you guys. This is big
There's a there's a special feeling. I think getting out of this round and we're here with you guys
We're not watching the celebration on our phones as much as we would love to be. I
but I'm sure that clubhouse is losing its shit right now.
Mookie, I think that's another one.
Not I think he was another one of those factors.
He starts going off and the whole complexion of the series changed as well.
You know, you take one of those games in definitive fashion down there in San Diego and you come home and it's a pitcher's dual.
Credit where credit is due as well, Darvish, another incredible performance against the Dodgers.
You know what?
Sorry, dude, it was not good enough to get the job on.
But you take, you took the wind out of the offensive sales.
You took the wind out of Fernandem Chattis.
You took the wind out of Maniwachati.
You took the win at a pro far, Chrome with Jackson Merrill, all the things.
I love it.
Take the wind out.
Mother Effers back in a moment after a quick word from A.J.
Prisensky.
Eric Kratz and Scott Braun on heel.
Let's do it.
I almost had it.
I was there and then it went away from me.
I apologize.
I'm ruining all this.
I just did it.

Thank you, Heel.
And we are back.
And we are back.
All right.
So what's the biggest takeaway from game five?
Your Los Angeles Dodgers, my friend, after a really, like, massive struggle in the first few games, are heading.
to the NLCS for the first time in a while.
What gives you the most happiness?
What gives you the most pause?
Well, pause, you know, you still want to see a little bit more out of your starting
rotation.
I mean, granted, Yamamoto goes out there.
He shoves and you hope that's the start of his true postseason career.
But what gives you excitement is, if you look at the last two wins, I mean, yeah,
Shohei got a hit yesterday. I think he got to run an RBI as well, but they did it without
Shohei. Today, they did it without Mooky Betts. They did it with the Hernandez boys showing up,
showing out a couple of, you know, you didn't know if they were going to be Dodgers when
you're approaching spring training. Of course, Hernandez signs in June or July there. Words are hard.
January, he signs there in January. You get, he gave very, very late in the game, you know,
into spring training.
And those are the difference makers.
And as we sat, you know, listening to Andrew Friedman, listening to Brandon Gomes,
it's funny because we're talking like we won a World Series here.
It's still got a lot of baseball left.
You still have a-listing win.
Listen, getting out of the first round is winning an effing world series.
At this point, for the last three years, getting out of the first round is massive.
So now-
This needs to be a World Series or Bust.
This is a World Series or Bust.
I agree with you.
But you can't win a World Series until you get, no, no, no, listen, you can't get into the World Series unless you get out of the first round.
So this was massive.
This was a massive.
I said this the other day.
If they get out of this round, they go to the World Series.
Like, I really believe that.
I'm not even worried about the CS at this point.
So this is good.
Well, you got to still play the Mets.
You definitely still need to play them Mets.
That's fine.
Let's bring it.
Bring it.
Bring it.
Apple, like, people.
Bring it.
Apple people, Tim Apple, we're going to bring it.
I got my guy Richard Flores here.
There's a whole bunch of them.
Sorry, we haven't got to a lot of super chats yet.
We will.
I should also tell people I'm going to be live on my channel after this as well.
So there's going to be more post.
I'm calling it post post-post game.
People call in, leave your voicemails if you know the voicemail number on my channel.
But Richie Flores, so proud to be a Dodger fan.
And this is one of those people that he's a, this guy, I love him as a fan because he's
critical in the right ways.
He's positive when.
other people need the positivity.
Of course, people know Richie very well on my channel as well.
This is a very good team.
Dave Roberts told us before the game today,
he really, really liked this club.
He liked it, then had something a little bit different to it.
And last time we heard him say something like very good about a postseason team,
he was there shouting, this is our year.
This is our year in Texas.
So you got to have those good vibes.
There's something special about this team, Alana.
I agree. This was, I'm so grateful for what happened in game four because I felt like if it was a blueprint into game five, the Dodgers had a chance. And they did. It wasn't the same, but they did exactly what they needed to do. It was perfectly executed. Yamamoto, I'm proud of you. I'm sorry that I doubted you. I still have questions. I still have questions. But the point is you did what you needed to do. I'm so thankful that Kike was in the lineup. The Hernandez brothers came through.
a tune to nothing victory.
I will take it.
They're moving on to the CS.
And I do think that they will be more relaxed than they were in this round.
There's just something about getting out of this round after what's happened the last three years that I think it's just different.
And I'm proud.
And Scott Brown is our boss.
NLCS is going to be lit.
Scott's a massive MET fan.
We're going to have some fun.
Maybe we should get Scott on Dodgers territory this week.
Just throwing it out there.
He's a massive Mets fan.
I'm proud of you, daughters.
I apologize for taking the potteries and five, but you know what?
It is what it is.
This game broke the first drunkers.
Yeah, I still don't want to win the division for the rest of our lives.
I will take the wild carder out the rest of the time.
Yeah, I'm happy.
I'm psyched.
I'm so thankful.
This has been a fun, fun, fun, fun, fun ride.
And the fact that this team is still going,
that means that Dodgers territory will still go.
And we will still have stuff to talk about.
this was a great win. Shades of Vince Lombardi.
Okay, Roach. Okay, come down.
Listen, listen.
Look at that. We also got some love from our guy, Derek, pinstripe territory.
We can see you in the World Series Revenge for 1981.
Listen, Derek, calm down, guy.
You're not going to, like, okay, you're playing the AL Central.
Calm down, bro.
Like, calm down.
I get it that you beat the Royals.
Now you're going to have to beat either the Guardians or the Tigers,
and then you're going to have to take on the Dodgers.
Derek, fine. All right. All right. I am psyched. Good night. I'm tired. What time is it? It's 11.08. Here is the deal. Thanks for being with us. Clint, are you excited? Are you proud? What are you feeling? Like, I need to know how you feel like deep inside your soul. Deep down in my, my cockles and my subcockle region.
Your cockles and your in your cockles. How do you feel? I feel very good about this team. Listen, people know I was, I was hyped about this roster, about this lineup, about,
what they had going for them.
I was hyped about it entering the postseason.
And yeah, after game two, you want to jump off a bridge.
You want to jump off a cliff.
You're feeling a little bit worried.
You're a whole lot of bit scared.
Things didn't get better in game three.
But they had that chance for something to click.
It flipped on everybody.
It flipped on its end.
And when Mookie, like Sarah said, our producer Sarah said in the chat,
when Mookie started hitting, I think that the pressure of the last three post seasons were,
especially the last two, were so heavily on Marcus Lynn's bet, Marcus Lynn Betz's shoulders.
As soon as he got that knock, and of course, we had the false start one night before
with the robbery from Jerks and ProFar.
But the almost repeat play again, that moment, that play, that Homer at Petcoe,
Park, Petco Park all of a sudden getting a little scared. Oh, is Mooky breaking out? That's my moment. That's where,
you know, the tightness in your chest kind of starts to dissipate and you feel good about
maybe this team. Maybe they're not going to win it in four like I predicted, but I did say they're
going to win it in five after they had to go to five games. Yeah, no, you were right. But here's the thing.
We had four hits tonight and they figured it out. Four hits, two runs. They figured it out. And I'm
proud of this team. I'm glad I was wrong and that's the thing right. All right. Wait,
we pinstrap, oh, Kevin, hello, Yamamoto pulling the Uno Reverse draw four on the Padres.
Like, you're wrong. He gets it, but yeah, I know, I know. Sometimes that just happens.
All right. We appreciate you guys so very much. We are going to be with you throughout the entire
postseason of the Daughters. Next up, the New York, Metz, the Metropolitan's. That's
going to be a fantastic series. Thank you so much for being with us here on Daughter's territory.
That is Clint Pastius.
I am Luana Rizzo.
We advance the NLCS versus the Metropolitan.
Thanks so much.
We will be back.
What is today? Thursday?
Thursday?
Today is Friday.
Friday.
All right.
We're going to see you on Monday for sure.
Thanks for being with us.
Clint, do your thing.
Tube in on my channel.
Going live right now as well.
Okay, bye.
Bye.
Then she says,
have you seen a photo of my son?
And I'm like, who is this person?
Welcome to the Boys and Girls podcast.
Arranged Marriage is basically a reality show and you're auditioning for your soulmate.
And who's judging?
Only your entire family?
I sacrificed myself to this ancient tradition, hoping to find love the right way.
And instead, I found chaos, comedy, and a lot of cringe.
