I'm Kerry Champion, and in this new season of biggest rivalries of all time podcast,
we take you back to the very first rivalry of the WNBA.
The Comets were the real deal.
I mean, come on.
The Liberty was just tough.
Oh, God.
The New York Liberty versus the Houston Comets.
When we hit the floor, it was hot, heated, fights, elbows, competition, trash talking.
Who is the better team?
People live, but numbers don't.

The stair, the backdrop, shades of 2024 off of you, Darvish.
Absolute cinema.
Vibes. It's a vibes, come to a live, brand new postgame edition of Dolly.
Dodgers territory. My name is Alana Rizzo. My friend, my cohort, my compadre is Clint Pesias.
We are here to take you through this game three of the NLDS. I told you. Clint Passeas,
take it away. No, I want to talk about Edwin Diaz first. No, no.
Keith Tober is here. We are in that wonderful time. The leaves are changing. You got it. You said a
sweater weather over there.
in mass.
Keektober, whither.
Keektober is fucking here.
Two run Homer, two nothing Dodgers there in the fourth.
Going up against Chris Sale, the guy who's never allowed a Homer or a hit or a run in his life against the Dodgers.
At least that's how it felt entering the series.
The Stair, the Bat Drop, Shades of 2024 off of U. Darvish.
Absolute cinema.
Four hundred and six feet.
It goes into that left field there at Truis Park, 17th career, Bamba, his 12th, in a Dodgers uniform.
Guys, sound off in the comments.
Share your Kike Hernandez love.
And to you, I throw to you, Alana, he has to be in the lineup every day.
I have said that, Clint Paseas, since the dawn of time.
Yeah.
Kike Hernandez, I don't care if he is old for the regular season.
There is something about the bright lights, the big city, the big stage, the postseason
matchups that Kike Hernandez comes alive.
And again, he finally gets his start.
We were wondering, Clint, you and I and Catherine Wu, who is in the clubhouse right now,
and we'll be doing all of the things that she's supposed to do on the athletic, check her out,
read her stuff.
She's amazing.
we were wondering why Kiki had not been in the starting lineup prior to today.
It's game three.
He's in the starting lineup.
He gets the Dodgers on the board with a two-run shot.
I told you, I don't know a lot of things,
but I know that Kiki and October just make sense.
It's real.
It just makes sense.
It doesn't matter who was on the hill.
It doesn't matter the handedness of the pitcher.
It doesn't matter.
Kiki and October are.
are synonymous.
And here you go.
Yeah.
You get chills just thinking about that.
This is the NLD.
Man, I love postseason baseball.
I should reiterate or rephrase that.
I love when the Dodgers win in the postseason.
I love that version of it.
But never a doubt.
Yeah, there's still one more game the Dodgers need to win in this series.
And after that, there's still eight more wins.
But this was a big win, too.
To kind of, you know, I guess be always,
Like, they always had Chris Sale on his toes.
Like, he never had a chance to get comfortable.
Yes, in that the first few frames, there were points where he was absolutely dominant,
but they still got some guys, you know, some ducks on the pond.
They were still making him work.
I think he had, like, what, 42 pitches through the first two innings,
and it was like 62 through three.
Like, he was throwing a lot of pitches.
They were making him work.
Of course, a couple of times, Shohei, down in the lineup,
hitting fifth for the first time since 2020, first time ever as a Dodger.
The game comes to him a few times.
But it felt like there was a lot of tension on the shoulders of the boys.
That Kikei Hernandez, Homer, just kind of, everybody's show.
I mean, it blew out my voice.
Like I said, I was telling you before we went live, I was screaming in the living room.
I'm saying, that's what I fucking told you.
Like, absolutely losing my flippin mind about that.
I want to point out, foop in the chat saying, job's not finished.
Or at least there was an attempt.
No, but, like, celebrate this game.
For sure, but we're 75% of the way there, right?
Like you figured, I mean, that if you could take one, at the very least, you force a game five, right?
Like, that's all you're trying to do.
But if the daughters can, I mean, this was a massive, massive hurdle.
Chris Sale, Hall of Famer, in my opinion.
Okay.
So if you can get through Chris Sale on regular rest, he's feeling good.
Walt Weiss did not want to have him, you know, go on.
rest in two, you're not getting the best guy you can.
So he said, rest him up.
That's why there was a bullpen game in game one, game two,
Griselgo's in game three.
It was a beautiful, beautiful game.
And again, I will maintain until the day I die that Kiki Hernandez must be
in every single post-game lineup, period.
end of story. I don't care who's on the hill. I don't care if he has a single hit in the regular
season. There's something about October that makes Kikei shine and they did it. He did it again
today. Yamamoto, phenomenal. Chris Sale, not horrible, but that's what you need. You need, you need,
you know, whoever's going to capitalize on a mistake or whoever has that special little
gift in October. And Kiki Hernandez has that gift.
Yeah, it's a different
Pulse when you're talking about
Kike Hernandez in the box there.
Even that first at bat for him
was really, really good.
You could see that he saw
sail,
seesaw sail, very, very well.
And again, like, he steps up in these big moments.
We understand it was still just a one-one game
or series entering this game.
Even if you lose, you have
two more chances to try to win two games.
Dodgers have had their backs against that kind of wall before.
But, you know, with him, again, it's just the pulse.
It's just the fact that the game does not speed up for Kikei when it gets to the month of October.
It really is, it needs to be studied.
It really does.
So it needs to bottle it up, right?
Study it, bottle it up, like seal it, sell it, right?
I mean, he is a different breed when it comes to.
bottle it up of Kiktober.
Like there's a marketing opportunity here, I feel.
And you know what?
That was nice.
Good for Kike.
Like this was great.
There's a lot of things that we could talk about.
I'm just grateful that they went on the road.
They figured it out.
Again, this was not an offensive juggernaut,
but we knew that it wasn't going to be with Chris Dale on the hill.
And I'll take a three to one.
We thought it was going to be close, Clint.
We thought it was going to be close and it was.
And that's fine.
And Kiki with the two-run shot, taking advantage.
What a great game.
Like, what an opportunity to feel good about going into game four.
And you know what?
That's the beauty of this is that, let's say they tie it up.
Then you're coming home for game five.
I personally do not believe we will need a game five.
I think the Dodgers shut it down in game four.
But what a great game.
I feel much better today than I did.
Yes.

Yes, sometimes we even talk about just everyday mundane situations in our lives, like the cool Uber driver we just had.

destroyed. I'm Jackquist Peace Thomas and on this season of the Black Lit podcast, we're outside
asking some of the custodians of our stories, teachers, and our modern day writers why?
They don't want a whole bunch of little elevators, Michael Maxes and Martin Luther King's running
around. They want to build children who have no empathy. That's really the ultimate goal.
We want books that don't make white kids feel bad. So is the war on literacy and information
or our ability to connect.
You want people to know how sexy reading is

It could be an escape.
It could be entertainment.

the only real question is,

And I felt good yesterday, too.
I took a lot of heat on the internet for feeling as confident as I did in this team, in this series,
and I will maintain it even further.
You got to their ace.
And, you know, if after game two post-game, you know, I had asked you, like, is this a big blow for the Dodgers losing what, more so the Braves winning at Dodger Stadium, what was supposed to be a Chris Sale for a game for them, instead.
they have to go to a bullpen game.
Now, they win that.
That's a massive amount of momentum for them and kind of a sucker punch for the Dodger.
Now, you throw it right back in their face.
You beat their ace.
By the way, we talked about this a little bit late last night on my All-Dodger show and probably
not enough over the last few days.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto's pretty fucking good, too.
Yeah.
You know the thing about Yoshinobu Yamamoto, that's so unbelievable, is probably we don't
talk about him enough because he's so steady right yeah he doesn't have ridiculous highs he doesn't
have clunkers he doesn't have any outings you're like what the fuck yeah he's just this yeah
and that's exactly what you need in an ace and again to your point the dodgers beat the braves
ace tonight the dodgers have an ace going every single day and we know glass is starting tomorrow
and that's great and I love it and all the things.
But we're very fortunate to have so many aces in the rotation.
But if you can get to Chris Dale, and he did not pitch badly, the man did not pitch badly,
he gave up three runs, that's not a horrible outing, he just didn't have any run support.
And that's a testament to Yoshinovo Yamamoto.
So again, on paper, in the flesh, and all of the things, the Dodgers are a better team.
And I feel very confident as I did yesterday.
I told you it was going to be great.
I told you.
We'll get into the chat and everything with everybody.
Obviously, we feel that we deserve a little bit of a victory lap in this one.
But again, job is not finished.
This is one you enjoy.
Okay, Toby.
You enjoy your spoils now.
And then you get right back to work.
You get right back to work tomorrow because that is an important game.
I don't want to have this game and have this series return.
to L.A. When they come to L.A., they are there for vibes. They are there for, yeah, I would need
Teres Scoobble. We're not, no, no, the series is we win tomorrow. The Braves are done. The Braves are done. I'm
calling it right now. What is it? 919 Eastern, so 619 in my hometown, my home state,
uh, that the Braves are done. They will not win tomorrow. Yeah. Um, let's get into some
conversation here. Let's get into some of the chat here. Uh, E. B in the chat saying Yomo,
Yamamoto should be game one starter in the LCS over Scubel period.
Terrick Scubal had himself a fantastic start for what it's worth, you know.
I mean, it's this, but the pattern has worked.
The pattern has worked.
Scoobble, Snell, whatever.
Snell's going to bounce back.
It's going to be fine.
Scubal, Samamoto.
I don't mind, I don't mind Skoble going in game one at all.
To that conversation.
You know, obviously Dave, the team took a little bit of,
of a blowback for having Blake Snell start in game two.
Maybe this was the plan all along, making sure you had your ace against their ace,
knowing that in all likelihood Chris Sale was not going to start in that game two.
The problem is, okay, but think about this for a hot second.
Blake Snell had a shitty outing.
If Blake Snell has a good outing, like Blake Snell's outings typically are in the postseason,
we're not even talking about this.
We're saying like, oh, yeah, that was obviously like how it was.
supposed to go. It was drawn up that way. It makes total sense. Everybody has an off day,
you guys. It doesn't, you know, sometimes it just doesn't work out. It didn't work out for Blake
Snell in game two. It does not mean it's not going to work out for game two in the NLCS for
Blake's now. Like, sometimes shit just goes south. It is what it is. Yeah. Yeah.
I'm really appreciating the chat. A lot to, really a lot to keep up with there. Hugh Hardyman,
or Hardiman.
Oh, I love this.
The question is who sits for Kikey to start?
You and I were talking before.
I don't care.
Anybody.
The whole team.
The whole team can sit.
It's got to be Tommy Edmund.
It's got to be Edmund, right?
For me, it has to be Tommy Edmund.
And that's no slight, that's no disrespect to Tommy Edmund.
But you need a spot to play Kike Hernandez.
And Max Muncie is also, you know, having a really good postseason when he's allowed to play.
Tay Oscar Hernandez.
Exactly.
Exactly.
When he's allowed to play.
I am not sitting Kike.
I am not sitting Max.
I am not sitting Freddie.
Like, I loved, we can get into that.
I don't even know where we are in the rundown.
I honestly don't know.
We're not.
We're just talking.
There's no run down.
Only Zool.
The fact that they've moved Shohei down to the five spot.
In what universe?
In what universe did we ever think that Miguel Rojas, who I adore,
I adore him.
In what universe did we ever think that
Migi Rojas would be protecting
Shohei Otani in the lineup
in a postseason game?
No universe.
No universe.
But I loved the move by Dave Roberts.
You're not going to bench Otani.
You're not going to keep him out of the lineup.
Obviously, he is struggling mightily
because of the bicep, because of whatever the ailment is,
you move him down in the lineup, you have a Miegy Roe protecting him, Kee-K starts.
I freaking loved it before the game.
I love it even more now.
Yeah.
I do wonder if that's going to be the plan, you know, first time now in the series of Dodgers
facing a right-hander to open the game, to start a game with Tyler Mali tomorrow.
I wonder what the plan is.
I really appreciated Mookiee at the start of this game as well, just getting some barrel,
trying to keep that ball fair, and he did.
You have to wonder if that kind of roll and tumble did anything to affect Chris Sale in the first inning.
But you saw Mookie kind of trying to work, trying to get in in Chris Sail's head a little bit.
Like it's Mookie of old.
Mookie has been a spark plug for the majority of his career before Shohay came over here.
I wonder if Mookie now is kind of the permanent lead-off guy, and maybe Shohay is somebody who's batten fourth, fifth, sixth for this.
team until he gets right. And I will. You know what? Go ahead, sir. I apologize. I liked show
Hayes at Bats after the Kikei Homer. He ended up taking a walk. More competitive, right? More
competitive at Bats. Yes, he did. Because I'm telling you, moving him down in the lineup,
as much as Shohay wants to be the man, he's a human being. So maybe moving him down and having him
fifth in the order, I don't care who's protecting him. Maybe he's like, I don't have all of that
pressure on me. Yes, the man is a unicorn. Yes, the man is the face, not only of the Dodgers,
he's the face of the sport nationwide internationally. He's still a human being.
So the fact that maybe he didn't have all of that pressure on him, his at bats got better as the
game went on. Don't tell me that this was not a good move by Dave Roberts. We knew that
Shohei was not going to be benched. Does Shohei deserve to be benched? Absolutely freaking not.
Is Hoseway DePaula better than Shoah? Obviously not. But it doesn't mean that Shohay doesn't
need a breather. And I think this might actually jumpstart something in a positive way for Shohay.
But be a presence, right? Like, Clinton, be a presence. Like, be a former, like, okay, for example,
Aaron Judge is on like one leg. He's hobbling, right? They've kept him off of the Wild Card
roster. They've kept him off the D.S. roster. They might actually be going home after tomorrow,
maybe perhaps right but if aaron judge is in your lineup and he's in the box whether he's 50
percent erin judge he's still a formidable presence and i feel like that's what show hey is but
you also have to make sorry i was i was i was told that i was uh i couldn't be heard so i was
messing with my my microphone you can no i think i don't think the people want to hear you but my point
is like if
like Shohei is in there,
he's a,
he's a presence,
right?
And he's a 58 time MVP.
Like we know what this man can do.
Yeah.
But you take a little bit of the pressure off of him.
I loved this move.
When the,
we were on foul territory today.
And our boss,
Mark Weiner,
sent us a Slack message that said he got moved down the lineup.
I was like,
this is great.
This is great.
This is exactly what you want.
Show Hey is not the Dodgers.
Okay.
He's a massive piece of the Dodgers,
but he's not the Dodgers.
move him down, take a little bit of pressure off, and see what can happen.
It was great.
Yeah.
It was great.
And this is the thing, you know, we talk about Dave Roberts and how good he is at kind of
having a feel when it gets to this time.
And people get so frustrated, so annoyed with Dave during the regular season because
he will ride with these guys and he will ride with them to the point of pain for everybody
else at times.
But he trusts his dudes and he trusts.
when he sees something not right.
And he kind of led that on pretty early when in this series,
even before the series technically started when he was talking to reporters.
And we talked about, like he said Freddie looked really good.
We got to talk Freddie in a little bit, by the way.
He said Freddie looked good in the by week, the workout and all that kind of stuff.
Shohei, he was a little less positive about.
So he sees it.
He mentioned before the game, even Shohei was kind of tongue-in-cheek saying,
you know, maybe you should bat me seventh or something like that.
They are in alignment.
I think Shohei at some point realizes it's not about, like you're saying, it's not about
the team or not about him, it's about the team, it's about the greater good, it's about
winning another world series and all that because that third ring for show is a lot more
important than a fourth or fifth or 16th MVP.
Yeah, I mean, do you want to be a dynasty?
I mean, it's not just, okay, let's put this in a little bit of a perspective here before we
move on, because we do have a lot to talk about.
about, but let's put this in a little bit of perspective.
It's not just about a loss in this postseason
if the Dodgers get bounced.
There's so much more writing on this series.
This is the end of a dynasty, or it could become a massive dynasty, right?
So you're thinking about it's not just the end of a great year
where you win 100 games and obviously you're a perennial contender.
When this is the first team since 99, 2000, 2001,
to repeat,
it is unbelievably difficult to do.
But yeah,
either way.
Whatever the hell it is.
Okay.
The point is it's a very difficult task to do.
To repeat in a world series.
And they can do that.
So there's a lot more writing on it than just losing in the postseason.
Yeah.
I don't think there's ever been a back-to-back-to-back winner in the National League.
right? I mean, the Reds won twice in the 70s. Not three times. Not three times. And again, in the American League, as we discussed, the Yankees, as Clint just decided to correct me, because he's an asshole. I'm sorry. I knew how people were going to be in the chat. And also, I'm sorry, I'm now seeing the chat where people say my audio was low. I don't know what happened. It looks like it sounds better now. But I don't know people are going to be in the chat. Like, what's wrong with you, lady? You don't know anything about anything.
if you got one year off, you know.

One final thing before we come back and glaze Kike some more.
I was hanging out with our friends.
That's a weird way to set this up.
I was looking with our friends on Kalshi before the game,
and that's one of the things I do when I'm prepping for the post-game shows,
is I'm going to look and see, all right, who's hit a homer sort of thing,
what are the numbers looking like?
The percentage chance of somebody hitting a homer.
Kike had a 9% chance over on Kalshi to hit a homer heading into this game.
So if you put $5.5 down, you win, what is it?
53.
53.
Where did you go?
53 77.
I'm not saying that I did that.
I'm not saying that I did that.
But you guys could do that too with our friends at Kalshi, by the way.

Public opinion sets the line. But you know
what, Alana? And thank you.
Kalshi, public opinion was wrong because I always knew, you always knew Kiki was hitting a homer.
I would love not to toot my own horn or pat myself on the back, but what did I say,
what did I say on our show with you and Katie yesterday?
I said, I don't care.
Kiki must be in every single host season lineup.
And he continues, continues to prove me right.
That's it. That's it. I don't know a lot of things. I'm wrong a lot. I'm wrong a lot. But in Kiki, I trust. I'm sorry.
That's what we want. We always want Kikei, long live Kike Hernandez. Do we want to talk any more about Yamamoto, how good he was? Ten punchies tonight over seven innings, career high in postseason strikeouts there. He's fantastic. He is an ace. And the fact that you're able to kind of pocket your ace until the third game of the series.
is pretty fun.
Following him,
Tanner Scott gets the eighth,
works around that,
I think it was a two-out walk.
Really,
really good challenging
at bat there to Matt Olson
to punch him out to end that threat.
And then Edwin Diaz,
obviously I joked at the start of the show,
we're going to open with Edwin Diaz,
but it was a kind of,
you know,
fuck around and find out time for Dave,
and he gave him the ball.
He trusted their $69 million closer
and,
you know,
worked around a lead off double.
But see,
that's why I
and Dave I trust
nobody knows his players
better than Dave Roberts and it's funny
too because I was hosting Fowel
territory today just an opportunity
to fill in for Scott Braun
and AJ Peersinsky
gave so many flowers to Dave Roberts today
about just how he's such a good
manager and I do I trust
I trust in Dave I obviously I
trust in Kike but he knows
his guys right and he said in this
moment in this moment which is a massive moment clint it wasn't like the daughters were up 27 to 1 in
in a massive moment edwin diaz comes in and gets the job done and you and i and katherine woo
had talked about towards the latter end of the regular season it seemed like edwin dyes was
getting his groove back just like stella he was getting his groove back and dave put him in there
and he did a great job right this is this is the the makeup that you
you want you want Yamamoto for seven flipping innings oh my goodness and then you turn it over to
tanner scott to get the eighth and then Diaz for the ninth you only have to use two relievers
like oh my gosh what a blessing for this team like everything worked everything worked out really really
well it wasn't a laugher the offense did enough because you finally started a dude that is
just great in the postseason i loved it this was a good game this was this makes me feel
really good and I felt good coming into the series. I never doubted the Dodgers would win it.
And obviously with a two to one advantage, it just feels that much better.
Yeah, there was somebody in the chat earlier as well. I apologize. I didn't star the message,
but somebody saying like, you know, tomorrow you throw the kitchen sink at them. You have a very
rested bullpen. Both Scott and Diaz did not work too hard. And even if like Edwin Diaz,
you know, they have a safe situation or something tomorrow.
Dave doesn't need to go to him.
You have all those options.
You got a Roki option who admittedly did not look good in his first appearance this postseason.
But you got a Tanner Scott for the ninth.
You got Edwin Diaz for the ninth.
You got Alex Fessia for the ninth.
Evan Phillips, who has closed games for this team.
Again, there's a reason entering this postseason, and we'll stop talking about this.
And we will look ahead to tomorrow's game.
And then we'll hang out with the chat for a little bit and all the super chats and stuff.
But there's a reason that we had this.
kind of cockiness, even to ourselves, entering this postseason.
We know this is a very good team.
We know this is a team that doesn't have the holes that even the last two years had,
where they didn't have a bullpen last year, didn't have a starting rotation before.
23 did not have a starting rotation.
22 did not have a starting rotation.
21 didn't have a starting rotation, and they fell apart.
Like this team was a complete baseball team.
And a concern for sure, still the offense.
They still only scored on home runs.
You'd like to see them find a number.
other way to add, you know, to chip in some, some runs.
But I'm not going to sit here and complain when the Dodgers,
you see the top right of that screen says 3-1, Dodgers win.
I agree, 100%.
Like, listen, it's just get whatever it takes to get the job done in that particular game,
you do it.
This was, I feel like this was such a good bounce back from game two.
I felt a lot of people were incredibly discouraged about game two.
You're on the road.
Yamamoto did great.
Kike was great. Dave pushed all the right buttons. It was not. It was a very good defensively played game. No errors. All of the thing. I can appreciate what this team did. And I'm grateful. I know it sounds stupid. I sound like a, you know, like a hallmark movie, but it is what it is. I love this team. I also am grateful that on deck presented by the Fox 1 app. Thank you guys for being a part of our show.
MLB on Fox is streaming on Fox One. We've been talking about it all.
Had to do that.
I had to make it.
I had to make it fancy.
I get it.
The postseason, you guys, it's here.
And we have your front row seat to the wildest walk-offs.
Lights off pitching and clutch plays all playoffs long.

dot com. So thank you so much, Fox One. Yeah, well, here, here is the, the important part, the full part of
the Fox One segment. We got a game tomorrow, another one, game four, chance for your Dodgers to
clinch the NLDS and give themselves a nice couple of day rest before facing the winner of Braves and
Padres. Sorry, Brewers and Padres, it will be the Brewers. Let's just be fair. I hope so. I hope so, right?
There's some devil magic working against the Padres in that series.
And deservedly so.
Don't call our old team dinosaurs.
That's what we learned there.
But yeah, the game tomorrow, once again, on FS1.
We don't know whether or not Joe Davis will be on the call.
If we'll have another Kenny Albert and John Smoltz game.
But we know Tyler Glasnow gets the ball against Tyler Mali.
Yeah, so that's Tyler versus Tyler.
Joe Davis, please, rest your voice, sir, because we need you on the call.
Yeah, so Kenny Albert always does a great job.
But yeah, I mean, you got to save it right for the important games.
And the DS not important because we know that the club, the squad, is getting past the DS.
I love this.
Tyler versus Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Gladys down going up against Tyler Mallee.
Yeah, I mean, whatever.
I mean, I, whatever.
It is what it is.
I'm excited about this.
I do think now having one game three is a massive, massive coup.
If you will, even if it goes back to L.A., which I don't think it does, I feel very confident about this series.
I also feel very confident that the brewers are going to win tonight and just sweep the potteries,
even though they're going back to San Diego.
So there you have it.
Yeah.
I feel good with Glasnow tomorrow.
Also, because, as I just said a minute ago, the Dodgers bullpen is fantastically set up to take down anything.
Let's say, Glasnow.
So rest.
Yeah. Ready to go. If there is a Glasnow stinker, which I'm not anticipating, and even a stinker, I mean, like he can't get deep into the game because he has like 12 punchouts over the first, I don't know, like four innings or something. You know they have coverage and that is a great thing for this team to have. And I'll mention it quickly again. If you guys want coverage of this game, it is on the Fox 1 app. It's streaming there. Go check it out. Never miss a moment stream now. Start your Fox 1 3-day free trial at Fox 1.com.

All right, final thoughts.
We got friends in the chat hanging out with us, sharing some thoughts about this game.
We got Raoul with a 499 super chat.
We appreciate Raoul.
What do you got?
I know.
Well, no, no, no, we'll read this, but I also want your opinion on Miguel Rojas exiting
with the back issue.
Maybe we should trust the Dodgers front office having Yama in game three.
He was the stopper.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't think you can go wrong in any order, honestly.
Like, our starters are so good.
Blake Snell had a clunker.
It is what it is.
But he could easily have been, he could easily have gone out there and, you know,
and thrown a seven game, a seven inning shutout.
Like, yeah.
We are so blessed with the starters that we have.
Yes, do I trust in our front office?
A thousand percent.
But like, Blake's knell just had a shitty outing at a bad time, but it is what it is.
Yeah, it happens.
We know it happens in this game.
I'm not worried about Blake Snell.
He started his postseason fantastic last year and then ran into the,
struggle bus in the World Series. I'd rather be the other way around this time around where he's
absolutely nails in the course season. We had some help by the way from when my audio was going out
and I apologize for that to everybody. But Nancy B. Sorry, Nancy B. Nancy Brown sent us a $2 super
chats and your audio is going. And she's a producer here helping us out. Don Davis for $2 saying
it's going to be great like Alana. It's going to be great. It's going to be great. It's going to be great.
It's going to be great. Don Davis, 56, 33. It's going to be great. It's going to be great. It's already.
great. It's going to continue to be great. It's going to be great.
Nancy and John, thank you. Benny,
five dollars, love Dodgers territory, go Dodgers. We appreciate the love, the support there.
Caesar, giving some love, Caesar, or sorry, $999, super chat.
Alana was on point with her prediction and Hernandez starting in the lineup. She is the best.
And how much did you pay him to send that nice message about you?
Less than $999. Okay.
It's a good deal. It's a good deal.
I made money on the transaction.
Let's just say that.
Deltres, if I'm saying that wrong, $10 says Buenos Dias.
Yeah, I love it.
He's back.
We're all back in our good graces, right?
He's in our good graces.
That's all he had to do.
The same with Kyle Tucker.
You knew all it takes was just doing something in the post season.
Tucker hits a homer in his first outing.
People forget about the regular season, don't they?
Like, if you make a massive, massive move in the post, it's like, oh, what?
I don't care.
that you couldn't hit a fucking water out of a boat.
You're fine.
Fine.
We got, so I'm going to end with Richie.
We have one more before, also from Nancy.
Is Richie, like, complaining about fluffy clothes again?
No, no, but it is the one.
I was going to say, I was proud of everybody in the super chats that we have read for
spelling your name correctly.
But Richie, of course, did miss an end.
We're going to get to that in the second.
But Nancy, with another $2 earlier in the show, saying,
Freddie making a point in Atlanta.
It's another big storyline we didn't really talk about.
Freddy's return to Atlanta.
I will say this, though.
Freddie has been back to Atlanta since he became a Dodger.
And it's like this whole, like, and I agree with you, Nancy Brown.
I love you to death.
You know that I love you to death.
But I do think like that whole narrative is like everyone's kind of a little bit over it
because he has been back.
We were wondering if he was going to get a standing ovation because it was the postseason.
Although Atlanta fans appreciate him and love Freddie.
they want him to fail only in this series, right?
Because they love the Braves more than they love Freddie Freeman.
So I think we're kind of like past that whole situation.
Matt Olson has been wonderful for them.
It actually was, it's been a good deal for both.
It's been a great deal for Freddie Freeman.
He's been unbelievable with the Dodgers.
Matt Olson, who is also a Georgia, well, Freddie is a California native,
but Matt Olson, who is a Georgia native,
has been unbelievable for them.
So it's like, it's the best of both worlds for both.
players and both teams. Now when Freddie goes into the Hall of Fame, it'll be interesting to see what
cap he wears, but I do believe it'll be a Dodger cap because that's the most recent and more
World Series titles, obviously, with L.A. So there you have it. I was looking for an L.A.,
but I have them all far away. No, I can appreciate like the whole thing, but I think everyone understands
now like it's a business, Freddy's over it, Matt's been great, all the things. Both sides really won.
The worst part of that.
And that's what you want, right?
You want, like, it wasn't even a trade.
It was a free agency thing, right?
Exactly.
But they both won.
Like, Matt's been great.
Freddy's, like, really been successful.
Like, it's okay.
And got two more rings.
And he's gotten two more rings.
One other thing, though, I would like to bring up with Freddie is, more importantly,
bro is hitting.
Bro is hitting.
Four hits in this series.
He's been so good.
Could be five without that home run robbery.
Shout out, Maricio.
Dubon, starting in left field, robbing a homer, moving to shortstop to end the game.
Freddie, just chipping in little things along the way.
He had a walk in there as well.
And, you know, just you can never, ever, ever count out Freddie.
Insert middle name Freeman.
You really can't.
So that's something.
He's using the whole field.
Because you saw that almost Homer went to left and then he pulled job.
Another one that actually was his homer.
When he starts to use that whole field.
Freddie locking in.
Freddie Freeman is everything you want in a baseball player.
He's also everything you want in a human being.
Yeah.
He just is.
He's just that dude.
He's just that guy.
And good for him.
And good for Matt Olson, too.
It was a really good decision and opportunity for both guys.
So the two other things quickly, and then we will get out of here.
But you had mentioned the Miguel Rojas injury.
it doesn't seem like it's as bad.
I was more worried about an oblique the way he kind of grabbed at his side and came out of there.
It seems like a back thing, right?
Yeah, that's what the team announced.
Yeah, the team announced during the game that it was a back issue.
That says left, lower back soreness started when he slipped fielding a ground ball.
By the way, what's up with that slippery ass outfield and grass there and a truist watching you guys?
But yeah, he aggravated it on that swing.
back thing. Hopefully it's something where it's, it's treatment and he's remains available because,
you know, obviously if he has to come off the roster, he wouldn't be available for an NLCS. And then
there's a whole thing, but you've got to have Migy Row active on this roster. Even like when he's
hurt, he's still just such a weapon defensively and put together like honestly really good at bats
most of the time, except for the, when he had the bases loaded following the catcher's interference
from Showay. First pitch fly out wasn't a huge fan of that. But hopefully, you know, prayers up for
for Miggie Rowe because that would be a terrible way for his, potentially end, like, end of his
career.
How dare you?
How dare you?
Potentially.
It's not his end of his career.
The Dodgers are going to the World Series and it's going to be great.
And he's going to be fine.
They're just going to like, give him a much.
Well, that's also assuming he's healthy for a World Series run, you know?
Anyways.
So we'll monitor that.
I'm sure we'll have more information about that later on.
If you guys want more information that,
maybe comes along the way.
The boys are live also right now over on my All Dodgers YouTube channel.
I won't be going there, but they're all hanging out.
And we have our final super chat.
Like I said, from Richie, 499.
He said, I am happier than a lot of knowing she'll never, she will not be making a
divorce man cave appearance and says stick a fork in the Braves.
Bro, if, Richie, Richie, if the next time, I promise you this, the next time I go,
no, I will, I promise.
No, I will.
I will.
Because I don't want to have to look for.
another co-host because you've been abducted.
Wow. I mean, is he a psychopath?
No, he's a really nice guy. I'm joking.
All I was going to say is the next time I go to L.A., I will go to the, I will go to the
man cave. That's it. That's all I was saying. I'm not saying I'm going by myself.
I got $5. I will have reinforcements, but I'll go.
I've got $5 that you are not coming out to L.A. and driving all the way the fuck out
to Dvor. That's not true. If I, if I spend more than like four days, I'll go.
I mean, yeah, I will.
The next time I go to LA, I promise you, I promise you on dogs.
On dogs.
That's real.
Well, hey, you know, my birthday is next weekend, so you can come out, well, hang out, watch Dodgers win.
41, you old ass.
I wouldn't have done it.
If I had my say about it, I wouldn't have made it to 41.
But here we are.
Dodgers are just as healthy in this as I am.
I would argue they're not healthier than me.
Dodgers win.
