I'm not willing to say that right now he should be over Anthony Bond.
I mean, we were just praising Anthony Vonda for the fact that he led the league and wins.
And now you want to get rid of him?
Good evening, everybody.
Welcome to Dodgers Territory on the special edition here.
It is the post game edition.
That is Clint Paseas.
He is doing all the work, directing, producing, grapicking, all the things that he does.
I'm Alana Rizzo taking you next, taking you through the next 20, 25 minutes,
something like that for a good win by the Los Angeles Dodgers,
an opportunity Clint to get the sweep tomorrow.
6-2 is the final.
Jack Dreyer gets the win.
Ryan Feltoner takes the loss.
But you know what?
I like the offense that showed up today, 10 hits,
and the Dodgers reached base about, what, 20 times?
I'll take it.
Yeah, Dodgers did what we hope they would do against the Rockies.
It's a good feeling win.
Bottom of the lineup contributing,
taking some key walks in there.
You got some key knocks, guys hitting with runners and scoring
position and it wasn't all on the home run ball go so guys sound off in the comments let us know how you're
feeling about this dodgers team like the video subscribe to the channel we're trying to get to 10 000
subscribers rate and review the podcast and the platforms and i think i've done all the all the things we
need to talk about but yeah nice job on the marketing there uh you mentioned it wasn't all by the long
ball but will smith is looking pretty pretty pretty great well smith has had a really nice start to the
2000 and 25 season looking at the numbers right now.
He's batting 367 tonight, Clint.
Two for five.
He had the three ribbies, the one strikeout, but who cares?
He looks really good.
I don't know what he's done differently, but he looks really good.
Appreciate that from your catcher.
You don't always get a lot of offense from your catcher, but Big Willie style is getting
it done.
Yeah, Smitty doing things, good things for this team.
He is producing with runners in scoring position.
We'll talk a little bit more about Will Smith later on in this game.
But yeah, he was a big key to this Dodgers win, has the big hit,
the three-run Homer in that four-run third inning.
Seven Dodgers come to the plate in that third inning, which is just good.
That's fun.
Chris Taylor, dead or sorry, not dead, not forgotten.
I miss one key word in there.
I mean, that's a big one.
A couple of runs driven in, one RBI, and then another run scored.
on the double play makes a nice play in center field to help out his boy a land in knack and uh you know
chris taylor quietly capitalizing on some opportunities uh when he gets in the lineup just like last
year but yeah story of the game will smith three runs batted in um max munsey we got to talk about
munsey a couple walks in there don't forget uh tommy edmund i mean that might be more of a uh i
I understand that Max Muncie was driving in all the runs, but Tommy Edmund, my word, tying a career high, four hits tonight.
The last time he had that many in one game was back in 2003.
So a couple of years ago, May 15th, almost exactly two years ago, Tommy Edmund is just a beast of a human.
You know, you look at the guy.
And in terms of stature, you're not thinking, you know, that maybe he's a guy that's going to drive in a lot of runs or get a lot of hits.
But he's just a ball player, man.
He's just Tommy tanks.
But today he just did it, you know.
He didn't do it with the long ball, but that's okay.
I mean, you're coming in.
Yeah, a couple doubles.
I'll take it.
He's just, he's been a really, really great addition to this Dodgers team for hits tonight.
I appreciate it.
Freddie Freeman, reaching four times, the two singles.
He also had two walks.
And Max Muncie, the two walks, four walks and a hit by pitch in this series for Funky Muncie.
So everyone kind of getting it done at the top of the order.
And it's good to see.
It's good to see the offense come together and obviously support the pitching staff.
Yeah, bottom of line.
up like I said putting in some work
they go I think it's two for eight
in this one three walks in there you mentioned
Muncie with the two walks
and he now has four
walks and a hit by
pitch in the last two games
which is good for
him getting on base because I just talked about
on my show last night
what I need to see out
of Muncie a little bit more is
his two true outcomes
style of play get me a homer
or give me a walk.
That is what he does best
and then try to sprinkle in some singles in there,
but he hasn't done much of all of those this year.
So to see the walk starting to come in there,
tells you he's starting to see the baseball better,
and then eventually we'll start to get the bamba,
we'll start to get the bat drop, and we'll feel good.
Everybody will feel a lot better about Max.
Also, quietly, Andy Pah has a single a walk in there,
playing a nice right field, showing off, showcasing the arm.
Yeah, BC said it right at the same time in the chat.
pen sanity, giving some love in the chat as well to Muncie for no strikeouts.
You got to, you know, let's give Max Muncie the clap there for no strikeouts.
We appreciate it.
But, yeah, just good stuff overall from this Dodgers lineup.
Still not perfect, you know, show hey, maybe you can see a little bit more out of show hey
when he does get some opportunities with runners in scoring position.
He hasn't capitalized.
He's 0 for, I think, 0 for 4, over 5 with runners in scoring position when he's.
come up this year. He did have a few ducks on the pond. No, one for five or something like that.
But anyways, uh, today, see the Dodgers win without showing. Yeah. I mean, today show Hey was
oh for four. He did have the walk. He had two strikeouts. Betts was oh for five today. He left three on
base. So 279 average so far for mokey bets over the course of the season. But in, in show he's
defense, he hasn't had a ton of people on the bases ahead of him. Um, but that was that was not the
case tonight and he didn't necessarily capitalize. Shohei left five guys on base tonight. So he's
batting 280 for this season. He's pressing. Swings getting a little long. It happens. He had a couple
hits last night. Just missed a what, a five hit game in game one of the series. But, you know,
I like when they can win without Mookie and Shohay providing all of the offense. I like when they
can win without those guys at the top of the order, providing all of the offense. I also like when
the Giants and the Padres lost.
And I think both of those teams lost.
So I think we gained some ground today.
So that's a good thing.
That's a good thing.
That's a big guy.
I'll start this month.
Padres versus the Cubs is the NLCS.
Corteur has that to say.
So hit that thumbs up for Dodgers picking up ground in the NL West.
Yes.
What is your position on Landon NAC tonight for an inning?
Four in an inning.
Four innings.
I can't speak.
It's 116 in the morning in Massachusetts.
Hit that thumbs up for an entire place.
Four hits, two earned runs, two walks, and two strikeouts.
65 pitch is not a bad outing in terms of efficiency.
Do you think you got the hook a little early?
I think the reason he's pulled that early is one.
He didn't have a great game, had a fine game, gave the team and Dave Roberts what they needed in an outing like this.
But he was struggling, struggling getting first pitch strike.
it was not landing that did in what three of his five innings the lead off batter reaches base
but overall just leaps and bounds better than that Washington start doing what he's supposed to do
I like what we saw out of land and knack maybe you give him a couple more maybe you try to get him
through that fifth inning try to to have him earn a win not that that means a whole lot
especially when you're talking about a you know random middle reliever or a taxi up and down
type of a pitcher or whatever.
But, you know, solid outing.
Four to third, four hits, two earned.
You maybe want to see him secure a nice Dodger lead because he did give up those two runs
immediately after the Dodgers scored four in that, what is the bottom of the third.
So not very good at, you know, holding, was it keeping the lead there?
I can't think of the phrase that people would usually say.
Yeah, holding runners on.
Yeah, holding the lead, you know, trying not to let the other guys score.
A lockdown, he shut down a inning right after the Dodgers score.
But that's just being nitpicky.
Give me what he gave this team.
Give me that, what NAC did.
Give me that just about any day.
You know, and he also cleaned up a lot of stuff in between his last outing
against the Washington Nationals and the bullpen session.
So it looks good.
You know, he looks better.
I mean, all you can ask for from guys is improvement throughout the year, right?
I mean, and hopefully.
He hopefully he continues to make the improvement.
As you mentioned, three of five lead up batters reached for the Dodgers pitching staff against.
You know what?
But the point is the fact, four and a third gave up four hits, two weren't runs.
I mean, I think you're going to take that any day of the week.
All right.
And look at that.
That ERA all the way down to 727.
Oh, that still hurts.
That still stings the nostrils.
That's all right.
He's got time to continue to bring that down.
All right, much more to come here on Dodgers territory as far as the post game show is concerned.

That's ODOOO dot com.
Let's give the Dodger bullpen some true classic.
How about that?
Because they earned it tonight.
They're good.
And again, Landon Neck, we talked about it, four and a third innings.
He did a nice job.
But Jack Dreyer, somebody here on the chat said that,
Dreyer over Bonda.
Come on, guys.
Like, I mean, it's just, it's a whole team effort, you know.
But Jack Dyer looked good tonight.
I mean, had an inning in two thirds, obviously, the one walk.
But he had four punchouts.
I mean, his ERA on the season, 0.75.
I'll take that in a heartbeat.
And then you have obviously Kirby 8s who got himself into some trouble there,
but was able to work out of it, get out of that jam.
And then you have Alex Vescia, of course.
And then Garcia, who, I mean, that guy was like fouling off pitches at the end of it.
Yeah, we were sitting here very frustrated.
I was like, good, Lord.
But I mean, you know, give him some credit, too, for fighting up all of those pitches.
But they got out of it.
And, you know, Luis Garcia, 6.52 ERA.
But, you know, sometimes this guy comes in in some garbage time.
It wasn't a Tanner Scott saved situation.
But again, you save Tanner Scott.
And that's kind of what Luis Garcia's role is.
So I'm going to take it.
Yeah.
You know, got to give big props to this, to this Dodgers bullpen tonight,
getting the job done for covering four and two-thirds inning,
scoreless relief from the guys there.
huge, huge stuff from Jack Dreyer.
I do want to talk about him more in a little bit,
but I was kind of surprised to see Kirby Yates back out there.
He did throw 22 pitches the night before,
did not quite have it on Monday night at Dodger Stadium,
look to be struggling a little bit and kind of a little bit today,
just fighting it, fighting the split-finger command.
But, you know, he battles through it,
walks, like you said, walks that tightrope,
avoids the damage, Alex Fessia as well,
works around a walk and gets the double play.
to see Max Muncie get a ball of third throw the ball of third complete a play there and then
yeah I I went in on my show last night about Luis Garcia and he's not long for this team you do
have Evan Phillips rejoining the club at some point so the roster will get better the team will
get better but he's doing his job yeah good on him doing his job covering a kind of almost
garbage time inning but also I mean it was only a four run lead so that can evaporate pretty good
But yeah, huge props to the bullpen.
I would argue a bullpen is my player of the game because I do want to get ahead a little bit in that.
You come up with your player of the game, but for me, it is the bullpen, and I'm going to focus in on Jack Dreyer
because Jack Dreyer has been an absolute revelation for this team.
And there is a conversation to be had a little bit about Anthony Bonda, our buddy, when you talk about space being needed on this roster.
But Jack Dreyer over his last seven appearances is from my buddy, Blake Harris, 11 innings.
no earned runs, just one base hit and 15Ks overall on the season.
Batters hitting 0 79 there, 3 for 38, and he has been really, really good.
Some people in the offseason kind of questioning why the Dodgers put him on the 40-man
roster.
This was the, I think the one dude they protected from the Rule 5 draft.
And once again, Dodgers showing they know how to find talent, they know how to refine talent,
and Jack Dreyer very, very, very good, the rookie, very good for this Dodgers bullpen early in the season.
I love how your player of the game continues to change because first it was Will Smith and then we said it was
Tommy Edmund.
All of them.
And now it's a bullpen.
He was always going to be my player again.
Jack Dreyer, I had a graphic.
He was always going to be my player.
Oh, okay.
All right.
No matter what he did.
Even if he shit the bed after the fact, you wouldn't use that graphic because you made it.
No, I mean, I love what Jack Dreyer is doing.
You know, 4Ks are.
the inning in two-thirds.
That's what you want.
He's been a nice addition to this club.
No question about it.
And again, every guy has a role on this team.
He talked about Luis Garcia not being long for the season.
He's not, but he still did what he needed to do tonight.
The last thing you want to do is to get it into a safe situation and have to get Tanner Scott up.
You know what I mean?
And you waste him for tomorrow in an opportunity where this team can sweep the Rockies.
I mean, it's good to see these guys come in in the roles that they're supposed to do.
and get the job done.
So yes,
Jack Dreyer has been great.
I'm not willing to say that right now
he should be over Anthony Bond.
I mean,
we were just,
we were just praising Anthony Bonda
for the fact that he led the league and wins.
And now you want to get rid of him?
Stop it.
I hear,
you're so fickle.
I didn't say it.
I'm just,
I'm just saying what we're off thinking.
You said there's a conversation to be had.
There is a conversation because at some point
you do need to have the best players
when they are available,
when they're healthy.
You know,
Michael Copac is going to be in that bullpen
when he's healthy.
Evan Phillips is going to be in that bullpen when he's healthy.
And eventually not everybody gets to hang around with the team, despite the fact that we want.
I don't see Bonda going anywhere.
I don't see Vessia going anywhere.
Definitely not Vessar.
I see Louis Garcia go in someplace.
Yeah, that's your first guy.
He's, straight to the moon.
People, by the way, loving Jack Dreyer in the chat.
Appreciate you guys hanging out with us.
We do need to get.
We also have recency bias, too.
And yes, he's been really good.
It's a post game.
That's what we're supposed to do.
Yes, okay.
I do want your player of the game, but first, I want some thoughts about Chris Taylor from you because, you know, CT's one of your boys for sure.
I'll tell you what I have.
I have the conversation about Chris Taylor.
Yesterday on our show, we had Jerry Harrison, Jr. on Dodgers territory on Monday afternoon.
And I asked him, yes, yes, you were.
And I asked him, I said, is it time for the Dodgers before, way before the deadline, right?
As we sit here on April 16th, I said, is it time for the daughters to go out and get a true center fielder?
Because there's all kinds of conversations still coming up with Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox.
Obviously, the guy hits for a lot of power. He can do something for that offense.
But Chris Taylor does not, of course, get a lot of playing time anymore.
Is Chris Taylor the answer for end-all be all?
No, but in the opportunity that he had tonight, he played well.
And that's all you can do if your CT is when given the opportunity,
show why they still should be, you know, including you in the conversation.
Do I think Chris Taylor is the answer at centerfield?
No.
But I, you know, he did the most of what the opportunity that he was given today.
I still think that the Dodgers probably need to go out and get a true center fielder
if they're not going to play Tommy Edmund in centerfield.
Yeah.
What I like out of CT today, he does make a nice,
diving or sliding play in centerfield, saving, landed knacks baking there early in the game.
It's good to see that because this was his first start in center of the season.
And it was a little bit of like a throwback Thursday for me because obviously we saw,
especially in your tenure covering the team there, saw some really good seasons with Chris Taylor
in center field 2017, of course, leads off that World Series against the cheating Astros with
a homer.
2018 played a lot of left field, played a lot of center field for the team as well.
I'm not saying he's any sort of answer, but what I do appreciate is, yeah, like you said,
taking advantage of the opportunities.
Same like he did in the second half of last season, you know, we can't dismiss the fact that
he did hit over 300 or around 300 in the second half of last season.
We're talking cherry-picked opportunities getting him in the lineup.
But if Dave and this front office know how to use Chris Taylor and, you know, otherwise,
I've seen online people clamoring more so for him.
hey, you know, let's bring up Hess on Kim.
He should take Chris Taylor's spot.
And I've seen a couple of my friends arguing against it online because you're not
going to bring up Hess on Kim to pick up three at bats a week.
You know, if he's coming up, he needs to be your everyday center field there,
your everyday second basement or something like that.
And the Dodgers aren't ready for that yet.
Dave is not ready to go that route.
So if CT can keep just doing the little things when he gets these opportunities,
hey, he's three for 12 hitting 250 on the season.
We'll take it.
We'll take it.
Yeah, I also think, you know, because there's a question here, Steve Saldivar, asking us in the chat,
why would the Dodgers get a true center field or when they have Tommy Edmond?
Well, because Tommy Edm is our second baseman right now.
And I know that we have a lot of guys that, you know, can play second base.
But the point is, He's on Kim is not the guy at second right now.
He needs to figure out some things in AAA and get as many at bats as possible.
I like that.
As many at bats as possible.
Yeah, I mean, that's what you've got to do.
So, you know, Kim is not the answer right now at second.
Tommy Edmund's our best second baseman.
So you got to figure out what the deal is in center field.
And we don't have a true, we don't have a true center fielder at the moment.
All right.
So my player of the game, I still think it's, I know Will Smith had that big blast and he's had a heck of a season.
But today, as far as player of the game, for me, it was Edmund.
I mean, the guy, we, you know, we've nicknamed him with the moniker of Tommy Tanks.
Because he has some, he has some pop.
But, you know, four for five tonight.
opportunity to increase his career high if he would have gotten another hit in that last
at bat he's just been an all-around really good player for this team so tommy edvin is my
player of the game uh we have two more players of the game coming up and then we'll get out of here
soon enough but we do have to hear from our friends scott brawn and todd fraser once again about

dot com. Big thank you to our friends at Arena Club. Thank you to you guys for helping support the brands that support us and the Fowel Territory Network. You guys keep making more content happen whenever you click those links and do all those things. So thank you there. So Riz, let's talk about what's coming up tomorrow for this team for all of us. Things to watch on Wednesday. Dodgers go for the sweep. And that's what we wanted against the lowly Rockies. I think that's the biggest thing. When you have a team like the Rockies, and again, no disrespect. I mean to these guys. I mean, this is.
is an organization that has been an influx for quite some time. And I think, you know,
the whole thing with Chris Bryant has blown up in their face. They don't have, you know,
something like that. They don't have, they don't have the roster that the Dodgers have. But that
being said, you have to beat teams like this, correct? I mean, you have to have a team like the Rockies
and if it was the team that was going to write the Dodgers ship, I'm all for it. But yeah,
bring out the brooms, as court the crusader is saying, I mean, these are the teams that you
absolutely have to beat. If you want to win your division, especially as well,
well as the Giants and Padres are currently playing.
And that's what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for them to go out and get the sweep.
I'm also looking at Clayton Kershaw, making another rehab start, right?
Or making his going out on a rehab start, which is going to be a global A, Oklahoma City.
That's awesome.
Good for them.
Good for him.
And then I'm assuming what are you watching, maybe the pitcher going tomorrow.
Yeah, Bobby Miller making his 2025 debut.
That's something pretty good for him.
I guess good for us.
I don't know.
We haven't seen Bobby Miller.
at the big league level for a while.
And last year was a bit of a disaster so far in the early goes of his short, you know,
small sample size at AAA Oklahoma City.
He's been fine.
He's been very solid.
He was pulled early in his last start with kind of the, you know, wink, wink assumption that
he would be making this start.
So it's not really breaking news to say he's going to be running out there for the team.
But, you know, being, you know, coming up and helping this team lock down that sweep
before day off and taking off on another roadie, that'll be huge.
And CPC in the chat says offense needs to score 10 runs.
Maybe we need to go that route.
One other thing you guys can look forward to, I'm going to be awake, bright and early in the
morning, joining my buddy Marcus Grant over on ESPN, LA, the YouTube channel 830am with
more Dodger talk as we lead into hopefully a sweep.
Yeah, my thing with Bobby Miller, just to touch on that for a hot second, is I just hope
that Bobby Miller gets out of his head.
head. And what I mean by that is I think last year, so many of the things that happened to him
negatively, I think he was just mentally, whatever was going on with him was not, he wasn't in
the right head space to have to pitch at the big league level. And a lot of it was because of
necessity, because of injury to the other, you know, starting pitchers. But hopefully there's
been some maturity and some growth. So he can just go out there and got and do what got up to the
big leagues to begin with and not have everything going on, you know, in between the ears.
that is messing him up.
We cannot say goodbye to you guys, of course,
on this post-game edition of Dodgers territory
without talking about the legacy of the late great Jackie Robinson.
Of course, today, well, yesterday, April 15th.
For you yesterday.
Yes, for me yesterday.
Jackie Robinson Day is celebrated and recognized all over Major League Baseball.
And the Dodgers, of course, in particular,
a very important day for this organization
as Jackie broke the color barrier
with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
And there was a nice, you know, ceremony, if you will, today in the centerfield plaza.
Karim Abdul-Jabbar was there to give a talk to both the Los Angeles Dodgers as well as the
Colorado Rockies.
Nicole Whiteman, who is in charge of the Dodgers Foundation, was out there as well.
And it's always been a special day for this organization.
And I love the fact that, of course, everybody wears 42.
So thank you, Jackie, for everything that you did.
And, you know, you don't have to be a person of close.
color Clint to understand what Jackie is meant to this game and to this world. I would just like
to have your thoughts as well about, you know, Mr. Robinson's legacy. Yeah, well, the good thing
about wearing 42, you do that so they won't be able to tell anybody apart. But, you know, again,
this is a massively important day for baseball, for the world. And obviously, we are in an
ugly climate right now, not to make this some sort of, it's not even political. It's human rights.
It's, you know, not being dicks to other people, not treating people poorly.
That's what Jackie stood for was civil rights.
It wasn't about, hey, I want to be the first black man to play baseball.
It was like, no, I want to do this.
So everybody of any color after me can go play baseball, can go work at McDonald's.
Everybody can drink from the same goddamn fucking water fountain.
So people just be better.
That's something Dave was trying to articulate when kind of facing some tough questions from media before the game.
Just everybody treat each other better.
It doesn't hurt you to treat people better.
Yeah, I've had many conversations in my time with the Dodgers with Magic Johnson, with Rachel Robinson, with Sharon Robinson, just about the legacy of what Jackie did.
And again, you can't forget what Mrs. Rachel Robinson has done either.
Yeah, absolutely.
Shout out to Sal in the chat for bringing that up as well.
Oh, absolutely.
Keeping that legacy going.
No doubt.
And, you know, I know for certain that as a woman in this industry and as a Cuban, Italian, I mean, I was born in the United States, but my mother is an immigrant, I wouldn't be in the position that I'm in if it wasn't for Jackie Robinson.
You know, so we have this industry or this country.
This world is forever indebted for the sacrifices and the abuse that Jackie Robinson
went through just to play the sport that we love to talk about.
So yeah, just happy Jackie Robinson Day, everybody.
And as Clint said, you know what?
Continue to treat each other well.
And Clint and I will be back on a fresh new episode of Dodgers territory on Thursday,
our normal time, 12 p.m., Pacific 3 p.m.
At a reasonable time for you.
At a reasonable hour.
All right, guys, thanks so much for being with this.
Make sure you like us, subscribe all the things.
And we're going to go for those sleep tomorrow.
Go, Dodgers.
Let's sweep it. Let's go. Bye.
