I'm Clayton Eckerd. In 2022, I was the lead of ABC's The Bachelor.
But here's the thing. Bachelor fans hated him.
If I could press a button and rewind it all I would.
That's when his life took a disturbing turn.
A one-night stand would end in a courtroom.
The media is here. This case has gone viral.
The dating contract.
Agree to date me, but I'm also suing you.
This is unlike anything I've ever seen before.
I'm Stephanie Young.
Listen to Love Trapped on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Nancy Glass, host of the Burden of Guilt Season 2 podcast.
This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families.
Late one night, Bobby Gumpright became the victim of a random crime.
The perpetrator was sentenced to 99 years until a confession changed everything.
I was a monster.

Good people, what's up, what's up? It's Questlove. So recently, I had the incredible opportunity to have a real conversation with an actress and producer, Jamie Lee Curtis, from routines to recovery, true lies, and a certain Jermaine Jackson music video. Jamie's real and raw. And it's something I really admire about her.
I am so happy that I'm the head bitch in charge at 67, that I have the perspective that I have at my age to really be able to put all of this into context.
Listen to the Questlove show on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A lot more things went well than we give credit for, especially coming off of the seven game losing streak and all that.
It felt a lot more doom and gloom than it truly is.
Hey, everybody, it's a brand new week.
That means it is a brand new episode of Dodgers Territory.
We are psyched that you were with us, joining us live on DT.
That's Clint Paseas.
I'm Alana Rizzo.
The first half of the season is over, but we have a lot to talk about today.
Don't forget, guys, like us, subscribe.
Please.
All of the things, raise five stars.
We appreciate you very much on YouTube, of course, and wherever you get your podcast.
Don't forget, support us with merch, the Dodgers Territory.

Dodgers Territory Shop.com. We appreciate it very much. Buy a shirt so we can continue to stay
employed. All right, lots to talk about Clint Fasias. My friend, the first half has come and gone.
The Dodgers have been every bit of a mixed bag. Why don't we talk and go behind the seams?
Let's do it. All right, Clint. So it has been a bit of a mixed bag. They have the best record in the
National League, that is good, right? Fifty-eight and
39, they lead the Padres. Another good
thing in the division by five and a half games.
They lead the Giants by six. Giants are probably
better than I gave them credit for.
They're doing it with the best offense in the
National League by OPS, by runs,
home runs, walks, batting average,
and the eighth
worst pitching by
staff in baseball, by ERA
rather, in baseball. So
that doesn't tell the full story.
What went well, in your opinion
in the first half?
Um, you know, they, they found ways to, to obviously found ways to win ball games.
This team also has been scrappy.
They are, they have been phenomenal when it comes to, uh, come, you know, coming from behind.
As we saw yesterday and talked about yesterday, sometimes coming from ahead to, to win a ball game.
Uh, but they, they battle.
It's, it's an offense that even with some of its issues, like you said, they, they are a
prolific offense.
They paid for that, mind you, in the off season.
They have a prolific offense.
can put some runs on the board or points on the board if I'm looking to piss people off who do watch the show.
But, yeah, pitching has just been not, I think, what anybody signed up for, not what we expected entering the season, but still doing just enough.
And we talked about it in the official first half assessment, which is after 81 games.
I hate this whole – we get two first half.
It's like two Christmases in a divorce.
You know, but I love what the front office has done in finding some scrap heap dudes to kind of plug in and fill in.
Not all of them have been great.
I also love what Dave Roberts has done in keeping people relevant, putting guys mostly in the best spots to succeed, at least the guys who want to succeed or have the ability to succeed this year.
Cough, Cough, Michael Conforto.
We'll talk about him a little bit later in the show.
but I think a lot of things, a lot more things went well than we give credit for,
especially coming off of the seven game losing streak and all that,
felt a lot more doom and gloom than it truly is.
But what's your take?
What are your thoughts on that?
I think the biggest thing is that we could probably have made such a bigger separation in the division
had all of our starters been healthy, right?
Like I'll take five and a half games at the break, appreciate it very much,
but I'd rather have 10 and a half, 11 and a half, 12 and a half,
And I think we probably could have done that had all of our starting arms been healthy.
And we would have gotten some more innings and some more outings out of those guys.
That being said, having all of the injuries that the Dodgers have had were still five and a half games back.
So I tend to look at this as a half glassful type of situation.
And as we continue to talk about the positives, Clint, let's talk about the specific individuals that have had really good first halves in terms of things that have gone well for the Dodgers.
If you were going to pick your MVP, I guess, of the first half of the season, who do you have?
For me, I really love what William Dills Smith has done for this team.
It's weird to pick a non-MV3 as your MVP, but what Will has done for this ball club has been incredible.
Of course, leading the pitching staff as best he can while there are so many different arms.
But most importantly, he leads the National League in average.
He leads in National League and on-base percentage.
He is a running a risk machine hitting 391 with an OPS over 1,100 with runners in scoring position.
You would assume he'd have more RBI, you know, tallied over there.
But I also love how the team has, Dave has protected him as much as he can.
Like, don't get him in the lineup every single day because you need to worry about Will Smith not breaking down in the second half.
But in terms of first half and looking at dudes consistently performing, Will has not had a downstretch at all.
Everybody else has had their ups and downs.
Will has just been a perfect, steady presence and force for this ball club all year long.
And that's why he's my first half MVP.
100% agree with you there in terms of the key that he has been, a 760 OPS.
As you mentioned, All-Star starting catcher enters the break, leading the NL and averages.
As you mentioned, OBP with the war of 3.8, his career high was 4.5.
All right, I understand, guys, I'm not going on a limb here,
but it is unbelievably impressive that my MVP continues to do it year in and year out.
You would think that at some point this man is going to have a little bit of a dead production,
and he hasn't so far.
Shohei Otani enters the All-Star break, leading the National League in home runs.
OPS and total bases, even though, even though his numbers are down from a year ago,
but he's also pitching, right?
I mean, his pitching is good so far from what we've seen as he continues to ramp up and, you know, extend the times that he's allowed to go out there and pitch count and those types of things.
He had a 102 mile an hour fastball three innings on Saturday.
It's that slow, methodical buildup that the Dodgers are doing.
In five starts, Clint, he's thrown nine innings allowed one run on five hits.
Okay.
He struck out 10.
He's only walked two, and he's smashing the ball.
So I get it.
Duh, obvious answer.
but it's pretty impressive that he did it perennially.
Shohay Otani is my first half MVP.
Now, this is where it gets a little bit interesting, right?
So if I were to ask you, Clint Paseas,
if I had to quiz you on who had the third highest war among the Dodgers this season,
who would you have thought that would have been coming into the year?
I mean, if I didn't know the answer already.
Cheater McChederson.
We have it.
We have it in front of our faces.
If I did know the answer already.
I'll tell our audience that, man.
I was trying to make you look smart.
I don't like to pretend I look smart.
No, I seriously would have said somebody probably like Freddie Freeman just because of it's Freddie.
He's an MVP, perennial MVP candidate and a run producer and all that kind of stuff for this team.
So I definitely would have said Freddie.
Shocking to find out, it's Andy Pahez.
Dude has been an absolute, you know.
He saved himself from a trip to the moon with an incredible turnaround hitting somewhere around, what, 320 since the first two weeks of the season or something like that.
Run producer, 285 on the season.
The fact that he was able to get back up to 285 and being honest to God, all-star snub at this point,
the Dodgers would not have 58 wins if it was not for.
the turnaround of Andy Pahez.
No question about it. And again, I was one of those that was buying him as ticket to the moon,
first class ticket to the moon. Actually, he probably would have been in coach at the beginning
of the season, just the way that he was playing. But my goodness, 2.9 war is fifth among
National League outbuilders. We have both said he should be in Atlanta. I understand why he's not.
There's only a few spaces. But that could certainly be an all-star worthy type of snub.
As you mentioned, 285, 804 OPS, 16 home runs. I'd never
would have thought Andy Pahez would have had 16 home runs. And what's also been beautiful, Clint,
is the way that he has really improved defensively. He's running really smart routes. He has a
cannon of an arm. He's really developing into a very, very beautiful player. I think that's
awesome for him. And it's been incredible for the Dodgers, especially with the lack of production
that we have gotten from Michael Conforto. And Tay Oscar's been struggling more on that in a moment.
All right. So those are the position players. If you were to talk about the MVP's
on the pitching side of things.
Who were you picking for the first half?
I mean, there's one obvious answer.
It's Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
He was my guy.
Yeah, he was my guy in the first half, you know, my Cy Young pick or whatever.
Fifth of the – we talked about him yesterday.
Fifth in the National League in ERA, sixth lowest whip,
not getting a whole lot of run support from this ball club.
but the most important thing that he has done is posted every single week as the rotation has crumbled
around him.
So I want to make sure he gets a little bit of love that he deserves, of course, is an All-Star for the first time in his career.
Yama, get it done, kid.
Yeah, I mean, he has been your guy and he is on the way to the All-Star team.
And the thing about him that I appreciate the most is, for the most part, he's posted every fifth or six day,
depending upon the schedule, depending upon his workload, all of those things.
But he's pretty much posted.
I mean, everybody has been on the flip and deal, right, except for Yama.
So I'm hoping that that continues, not except for Yama, but he has been able to remain healthy.
I'm going to go with the bullpen guy, which is tough, I think, for MVP to be bullpen
just because of the amount of times that they pitch.
But I think Alex Vescia deserves some flowers, right?
He had a really good outing on Sunday, and that come from a head win that the Dodgers did against the San Francisco.
Francisco Giants, but a 25 ERA, 2.50 ERA in Relief Clint. That's impressive, right? I mean,
this is a guy again that had some massive innings for the Dodgers last season en route to their
2024 World Series championship. But Alex Vescia has been really good in terms of being a
workhorse. I mean, he has led the team in appearances. He's had 46. That's tied for fifth in the
National League. I didn't realize that that had been his usage. I mean, that's a lot of work for one
dude. And again, I understand there's a lot of guys in that bullpen that are hurt. I get it.
He does give up his fair share of home runs. He has given up seven in 39 and two-thirds
innings, but I like the fight. I like the, I like the, I like the, I like the, the great.
I like the, the compete, yeah, to sound like Dave Roberts. But, you know, he's always out there
said it. He, Alex Vessia said that he's out there kind of twerking a little bit when he's on,
and I don't mean like with his bum. I mean, like, he's tweaking. He's just, yeah, yeah,
so is he tweaking. He's tweaking. Maybe I was thinking of my late at his time.
I think you're thinking of Kikein.
The other,
the other,
the other, the other,
the other, the other,
the other, the other,
twer, twerterker,
twicker,
dodger closer, dude.
Yeah, so my guy,
my guy is,
Alex Vesia.
He's been,
and somebody,
Christine Alvarez is in our chat right now
asking why he can't close.
He may be closing when we come back.
We don't know what's going to happen
with Tanner Scott.
We talked about that yesterday
in our post game show,
but that remains to be seen.
Yeah,
with Vescia,
I mean,
the consistency.
And I think both of these guys are MVP's because of their consistency, one in the starting rotation with Yamamoto and Vesia in that bullpen.
Arguably the best arm in that bullpen, you can make the case for Jack Trier.
But the fact that Vess has posted, has done this now for, this is his fifth season, fourth season in a Dodger uniform.
He has been, he just keeps getting better and better, finding his way to be a dude that this team can rely on constantly.
that Dave can turn to this guy every single day if he needs to.
It feels like at times, again, 48 appearances, like you said, 45, 46, whatever it is,
a lot of appearances for the kid.
And the fact that, yeah, the fact that, you know, we're sitting at a two and a half ERA
when Tanner Scott has had his struggles, of course, Kirby Yates has had his struggles and all of that.
It's important to have that arm, that workhorse, especially with the absence of Blake
Trinan and those types of.
Happy dudes, bruised our graderol, to know that Dave still has this one guy you could throw out there.
And he's in, for the greater part, keep the game right there.
That is, that is massive, massive for this team.
Yeah.
Mark it down, I think Ben Casperius is next year's Alex Vescia.
I think he's got a long way to go this year, obviously, just because the way that they've used him.
We talked about it on Sunday, the accordion type of usage.
We'll stretch you out when we need to.
We'll smash you back when we don't.
But I think Ben Kisperius has a very promising.
role in the Dodgers bullpen moving forward in addition to the remainder of this year.
All right.
We're going to have a lot more to talk about here on Dodgers storage, Dodgers territory,
as we continue to recap the first half of the season back in a moment after a quick word
from our friends at Felt Territory.
The way to buy, sell or trade your cards is Arena Club.
It is the top marketplace in the biz to get that done.
And crats, we love the slap pack situation because rolling through a ton of cards,
physically opening them, finding all kinds of commons that end up folded or in the garbage,
is old news. Why not get a slab pack and get a chance of a card worth thousands of dollars?
I was a common card. It's okay if you don't get me in your slab pack because you put as little
as $25 into for a slab pack and you could pull out something that's worth thousands of dollars.
And it's a keepsake that you get to like, wait, you know what, it might be worth this much today.
but I get to watch the value grow.
And right now you can get 20% off your first slab pack or card purchase
by going to arena club.com slash foul and use the code foul.
That's 20% off your first card purchase or slab pack at arena club.com slash foul.
Code foul.
I'm Clayton Eckerd.
And in 2022, I was the lead of ABC's The Bachelor.
Unfortunately, it didn't go according to plan.
He became the first bachelor to ever have his final rose rejected.
The internet turned on him.
If I could press a button and rewind it all I would.
But what happened to Clayton after the show made even bigger headlines.
It began as a one-night stand and ended in a courtroom with Clayton at the center of a very strange paternity scandal.
The media is here.
This case has gone viral.

I'm Nancy Glass, host of the Burden of Guilt Season 2 podcast.
This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families.
Late one night, Bobby Gumpbred.
became the victim of a random crime.
He pulls the gun,
tells me to lie down on the ground.
He identified Jermaine Hudson as the perpetrator.
Jermaine was sentenced to 99 years.
I'm like, Lord, this can't be real.
I thought it was a mistaken identity.
The best lie is partial truth.
For 22 years, only two people knew the truth.
until a confession changed everything.
I was a monster.

Why hasn't a woman formerly participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade?
Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age.
What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year?
He still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction.
And how did a 2023 event called Wag Ageddon change the paddock forever?
That day is just seared into my memory.
I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman,
and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip,
a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the sport.
In each episode, a different guest and I will go deeper into the wacky mishaps,
scandals, and sagas, both on the track,
and far away from it, that have made F1
a delightful, decadent dumpster fire
for more than 75 years.
Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I don't give a shit you feel good as four-month-hion hits up there.
That's good to see.
Tommy LaSorda here on Dodgers territory,
checking in with the Dodger manager legend,
all that kind of stuff.
Anyways, we talked about the positives from the first half,
But again, we know there have been a fair share of disappointments, negatives, things that went wrong for the Dodgers here in the first half.
What takes the cake for you when you're talking about things that went wrong in the first half for the Dodgers?
Well, I mean, I think the obvious thing is the amount of injuries to starting arms.
When you talk about the free agent imports that the Dodgers have signed, remember we're going into the season, we're like, oh, my God.
Becky, look at her butt.
It is so big.
But we're also like, you know, Andrew Friedman signed the universe.
Now we don't need to do anything as long as everybody stays healthy.
Well, nobody stayed healthy.
So we, everyone was talking about how unfair it was that the Dodgers, you know, signed all
these people.
They may win 120 games.
Here's how that offseason went.
Blake Snell.
He had two starts this year, Clint Seas.
He's on the IL with left shoulder inflammation since April.
Two starts for the guy that was supposed to be your workhorse in the Dodgers starting
rotation, right?
Roki Sasaki, I still think he's on witness protection.
Does anybody know where Roki Sasaki is?
472 ERA and 8 start on the EIL with right shoulder impingement.
Tanner Scott has 10, excuse me, seven blown saves.
My apologies, including Sunday against the Giants.
He has a 409 ERA.
It's not even so much the ERA for me.
It's the blown saves.
Michael Conforto, who was my guy, who I was super excited about the signing because I thought
it was going to lengthen the lineup.
I love the left-handed option.
I love his defense.
I still love his defense.
184 average 620 OPS in 83 games that's a big enough sample size so that for me is the biggest
bugaboo and room for improvement is all these massive signings which I appreciate the signing like
they just haven't panned out is that anyone's fault no but think about where this team could be
I think much greater than a five and a half game lead yeah no absolutely and I want to bring up
something too when we're talking about the division lead and all that very early in the chat
technically before the show started we had a series of comments
from USA Rail fan who was bringing up the fact, like, in so many words, he's kind of happy
that the NOS isn't as just blowing, the Dodgers aren't blowing them out of the park, you know,
the Padres or the Giants or whatever, because as we talked to Dino Ebel about and others
in the offseason, the importance of keeping the division close, the Dodgers playing for something
because, you know, in the nine seasons, Docspin manager is what he said in the comment,
we won the division with less than 10 games five times and one more than, what does I say, 15, more than one by 15, three times.
And I think usually when the Dodgers have a big lead, I'm butchering this whole thing here.
But when they have that big lead, my point I'm trying to get to here, because I'm pulling this out of my ass as we're going here, is when they have the big lead, they struggle in the postseason.
So playing for something late into the season is good.
and if we have to suffer with all of the injuries and all of this, you know, the struggles
through the middle part of the season for them to kind of ramp it up in the second half
and get everybody together and all that kind of stuff.
Like, it's worth it. It sucks.
I get that.
Everybody can agree that it has sucked.
But I had a point I wanted to get to.
I wrote this down because I wanted to make sure I – this one I articulated slightly better,
even though it's a stupid comp.
But to me, it feels like an Avengers movie
because something happened
that splits the team apart.
And you know by the third act,
they'll all be back and working together.
And then the bad guy and his goons,
in this case, the bad guy and the goons are whoever they play in the NLDS,
NLDCS, and of course the World Series.
They're going to be back together and fighting against this dude
and these good dudes and beating them
and then championship and all this kind of stuff.
I just hope it doesn't turn out to be like in
infinity were where the good guys get beaten and dust it and all that kind of stuff.
But the point is, yeah, this was a long walk.
There's two things I can tell by the conversation that you just had.
Number one, I'm 10 years older than you.
Number two, you're a boy and I'm a girl.
I have no freaking idea what you're talking about.
It took you that.
Yes, that's what it took for me to realize the difference between you and I.
I can appreciate the parody in the division.
And I like that.
And I think that he's right, right?
I think it's good to have this competition and good not to necessarily have, you know, a 20 game advantage.
You know, from a fan perspective, you're like, ooh, this is great.
But I get that, you know, you can't simulate these types of stressful situations if you're winning the division.
As long as they win the division by one game, that's all the matters, right?
Just win the division.
Let's have a super chat from Francisco Diaz.
We appreciate you being here, Francisco.
Had three players I wanted gone at April's end, two being Pahesponce, turned into my co-Mvipes.
There you go, the first half.
the other, even with his good two weeks off.
Oh, for four.
Oh, for Ford.
Oh, boy.
It needs to be replaced by the trade deadline.
Yeah, we'll see what happens with him.
Thanks for participating, Francisco.
We appreciate it.
So, yeah, I think the, I think it's tough.
I think injuries have plagued this team, but listen,
nobody feels sorry for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
So the Cubs is done as well.
Oh, Donnie.
I don't know.
You guys are speaking like something.
You really don't watch any Marvel movies?
No, I've never,
No, no, no.
Oh, honey.
You would, like, do some, like, Big Bang Theory references or Morgan Wallen references or something.
I don't know.
Puppy references, something that I can relate to.
All right.
Another thing again.
Never do Big Bang.
Ever.
Room for improvement.
And I think nobody deserves or needs the break as much as Mooky vets.
And I think if you asked him, I think he would tell you that, right?
I mean, this is a guy that has some statistical worst.
in his career, if you will.
244 average 696 OPS.
Just hasn't been able to get on that tear, Clint,
that hot streak that we're accustomed to that we're hoping for.
Yeah, it's been tough sledding for Mookie all season long.
Historically, it has been a better hitter in the second half,
so hopefully we can hang our hat on the fact that Mookie will be back.
He will be in regular MLB 50 form in the second half with a little bit of a break,
not participating in any of the All-Star stuff.
is something we talked about yesterday, something we talked about last week as well with
David Vassay.
Get in that break.
Just stay home with the family.
Bowl with your mom at your house and your mansion and all this kind of stuff.
Well, Kiki got him a bowling alley.
I think you already had a bowling alley.
I saw that.
Maybe it was a second bowling alley or maybe they set up a bowling alley.
But anyway, Corona, I think sponsored it.
So that's awesome.
Let's be nice.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
We got to go out there.
And if it's Wee bowling, I could definitely, I could beat Moogie.
I beat everybody at Wee bowling.
but sorry, let me bring it back to.
I don't even know what that means either, but okay.
But yeah, if you get, if you get Mookie back on track,
this is just a completely different looking ball club
because it has not been, he has not been himself.
And I'll ask you this, like,
just imagine how many wins the Dodgers would have
if Mookie Betts was right at any point in the first half of this season.
No doubt.
I mean, but it's not, for sure.
For sure, but it's not just Mookie either.
To ask her, Hernandez,
He would remember, Teo was my first half MVP last year.
Teo ever since coming off the IL has not been the same guy.
So I'm very, and Freddie has not been the same guy.
No.
So I'm, I'm hoping that.
And I know that Freddie's participating in the All-Star game, whatever.
It's an honor.
And it's okay.
And I'm fine with that.
But I'm hoping that Mookie, Freddie, and Teo get back to the Mooky, Freddie, and Teo form
that we know that they can be.
And that, when you get that in compliment.
to your starting pitchers getting healthy and coming back,
I believe that that is a really, really good formula for victory.
Victory is ours.
Do they say that in the Marvel movies?
Victory is ours.
That's exactly what they say.
You nailed it.
You got this in the bag.
So where's the room for improvement for this team?
We've already talked around it a fair amount as we're talking through this.
But right off the top of your list, what's the number one thing?
Is it Mookie?
Is Mooky like the big?
biggest area like room for improvement no no because i think what i think is our lineup is deeper than
our starting rotation so even if mookie it doesn't have career years in the second half
if muki maintains i think the rest of the even if there's a slight improvement in production
with mookie i think the remainder of the lineup picks him up what i think the biggest need is um and i'm
hopeful for in terms of improvement as the starters i mean you can't just have yamamoto um being the guy right
You have to have Kirsch having the start that he had two starts ago.
You have to have a healthy Blake Snell.
You have to have a healthy Tyler Glasnow, who had a nice outing, his first outing back from the aisle.
That needs to continue.
I mean, there's no, there's no excuse.
His arm should be rested.
Okay.
Yeah.
You know, you need to have the starting pitching staff get healthy and you need to have the bullpen get healthy, right?
You need to have Trinan back.
You need to have Brewstererrador back at some point, you know.
but we know Evan Phillips is done.
That sucks.
But I think health.
I mean, that's,
that to me is the only way that this team can improve.
It's not a lack of talent for sure.
And it sure shit isn't a lack of effort.
It's a lack of health.
Yeah, it's not the ability with these guys.
It's the availability with these guys.
And Snell, you know, we know he's on the come.
You mentioned getting Glasnow back last week.
That was massive for this team.
Roki Sasaki, there has been a sighting.
there has been a spotting.
He threw a bullpen session, I believe, over the weekend at Dodger Stadium.
Reports came out good from that.
Dave Roberts said they're hoping maybe a late August return for Roki in what role?
We'll see.
Maybe the bullpen gets better with the starting rotation getting better.
I think Dustin May probably has one, two more starts in this rotation, Max, because he has been a big,
red sore thumb for this team.
Appreciate the fact.
Appreciate the pun intended.
Wouldn't that be funny though if he did go to the bullpen?
Because you and I were begging for that at the beginning of the year.
I think he's going to thrive in the pen.
You know, even with like his struggles, like honestly, he's been an unsung hero for this team,
has Destin May because beyond Yamamoto, he's the only other dude who's gone out there since
opening day and posted every single start, posted every week.
Yeah, he is close to five.
He's also missed the better part of the last four seasons with a myriad of injuries.
The fact that he's out here making, was it 17 starts so far this season, something like that.
He's been healthy.
He's been available.
He's taking the ball.
He's been, yeah, availability is.
What's that that's saying?
It's like availability is the best.
The best ability is availability.
Yeah.
So, yeah, he's been, I mean, absolutely.
I mean, that.
I mean, that.
Go ahead.
Yeah, no.
And that and probably the only other thing is a healthy max Monty.
Right?
Like if you get a healthy Max Muncie back in that lineup, again, he does so much to force guys to throw a lot of pitches.
He has a great plate discipline.
He lends him's the lineup.
He puts everybody where he's supposed to be.
And then, you know, obviously you want him at third base too defensively.
He's gotten a lot better there.
So that to me would be our biggest.
Is that all?
Everybody healthy.
Just everybody healthy.
Yeah.
At just, you know, Moogie hitting out of those world, Freeman, T-O-O-Sker.
Is that all?
Is that too much to ask?
I think it's playing with a full deck.
You know, that would be massive for this team.
Like, if you're playing with the full deck,
you probably don't need to be active at the trade deadline.
I saw somebody earlier in the chat saying, like, talk about the trade deadline.
It's like, we did that a little bit last week.
We'll do that a whole lot more in the coming days and episodes and all of that.
But, you know, just getting these guys right, Tay Oscar, getting it going again.
It's a shape-up or ship-out situation for Michael Conforto over these next couple of weeks.
Yeah, yeah. And then, yeah, third base. Is it all going to hinge on Max Muncie coming back and returning and playing somewhere near the level he was at? Well, he could play below that level if Mooky's got it figured out. Freddie's back on track, which I think hopefully cut those couple of days off after getting one at bat in Atlanta and, you know, helmet tip, crying, whatever he's going to do there, playing an All-Star game in ATL. I don't think he's going to cry this year. I don't think he's going to cry this year.
Then again, he's kind of a sissy. He loves crying. Love you. Love you, Fred.
He's not a sissy. He's sensitive. It's all right if guys cry.
Toxic masculinity.
We're going to, oh, yeah, it's so attractive.
Okay, we're going to come back with a little bit more here on Dodgers territory.
But first, another quick word from our boys at Fell.

Eckerd, and in 2022,
I was the lead of ABC's The Bachelor.
The dating contract.
Agree to date me, but I'm also suing you.
Please search for it.
This is unlike anything I've ever seen before.
I'm Stephanie Young.
This is Love Trapped.
This season, an epic battle of He Said She Said, and the search for accountability in a sea of lies.
Listen to Love Trapped on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Nancy Glass, host of the Burden of Guilt Season 2 podcast.
This is a lot of.
a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families.
Late one night, Bobby Gumpbright became the victim of a random crime.
He pulls the gun.
Tells me to lie down on the ground.
He identified Tremaine Hudson as the perpetrator.
Termaine was sentenced to 99 years.
I'm like, Lord, this can't be real.
I thought it was a mistaken identity.
The best lie is part of it.
partial truth.
For 22 years, only two people knew the truth, until a confession changed everything.
I was a monster.

Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade?
Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age.
What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year?
He still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction.
And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever?
That day is just seared into my memory.
I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman,
and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip,
a Formula One Culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the
sport. In each episode, a different
guests and I will go deeper into the wacky
mishap, scandals, and sagas, both on the track
and far away from it, that have made
F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster
fire for more than 75 years.

All right, guys, it's time for last licks where we
introduce you to a pup that is in need.
That is Morgan. That is Roosevelt.
They both need an adopter, and they
certainly could use donations. But Roosevelt
is a stray. He was found roaming
Englewood by himself. No collar, no tag, no microchip. We've done all of the due diligence posting
him everywhere. He does not have an owner. There are tons and tons and tons of dogs that are just
abandoned and surrendered by people and they just, nobody cares. So this is a sweet, sweet boy.
He's a German Shepherd mix. He's probably about four months old. He's going to the vet today to get an
overall wellness check, you know, flea and tick treatment, all the things, a blood panel, just to make
sure he's good. We need an adopter for him. We don't want to take him to a shelter because he will
get killed in a shelter. Los Angeles is overrun with dogs and shelters that are being killed just
for space. If you are interested in adopting Roosevelt, he is being fostered in Englewood,
California right now. Please hit us up on social. I can give you all the information. If you
can't adopt, we could always use your help with donations.gidre's guardian.org. We appreciate it very
much. Okay. Clint, what's coming up on all Dodgers with Clint Passius? Despite the fact that everybody
is off, we will have a busy week. Soon we should have a free, not free agent, sorry, a draft
kind of review for the Dodgers, what they did and some more prospect talks and all that.
Plus, more trade deadline conversation. That's going to be coming up this week. Still figuring out
dates and guests and things like that, but please do consider subscribing to the channel there. It's
Dodgers with Clint Paceous.
Technically, it's just all Dodgers now, but it's with Clint Pesias and Jeff Snyder right here
on the YouTube.
Do that.
Are you going to put Jeff's name up on the board one of the day?
Like, does the man get like a font?
Well, I don't make these.
I don't make these.
So I would need to talk to Jeremy about that.
Also, there's two little graphics that for some reason aren't showing up there,
but YOLO as the kids say.
Yeah.
So, okay, this kind of goes in line with what I was just saying about I'm a lot older than
you.
I don't know what the hell's going on in pulp culture.
If you would have told me gunned to my head, name one person that was participating in the celebrity all-star softball game yesterday, you would have had to have pulled the trigger.
I couldn't name anybody.
I could name four people that were there.
There was Terrell Owens.
There was C.C.
I could have gotten that.
I could.
I mean, the athletes are obvious.
The athletes are obvious.
And beyond that.
non-athics.
Two randoms with
talking Jake
from John Boy
and Nikki Cass.
Those are the only ones
otherwise.
Apparently, if you're not,
the only reason I know is because
he does like John Boy things here and there.
But apparently if you're not on TikTok,
you know,
only TikTok people are celebrities now
or, you know, some sort of
Instagram influencer, but that was by far
the worst class.
of celebrities
that I've ever seen
in the very much
dying All-Star softball game
Oh, Jenny Finch.
Jenny Finch was also there.
Jenny Finch was there,
so I knew five.
She's good.
She's good, though.
I think they also kind of screwed her over a little bit.
I didn't watch the whole thing
because I got very frustrated
in watching these people.
They also, like, none of them played the sport.
So it was, it was embarrassing.
It was very embarrassing.
Like, just if this is,
their idea for
celebrities? I mean, are they just, are they
trying to just get the younger audience
and they're assuming that that's the wave of it now
that if you're not on, I mean, I'm like, I have
a TikTok account, I'm never on it.
I just post the foul territory
stuff on there. Like, I don't know. I don't even do that.
I have TikTok
it's, you know, like band in my life.
I've drew a hard line
in the sand at TikTok. I mean, I
moved beyond my space. I'm not
that bad, but I don't have, I don't have
I would have pictured you as more of a friendster kind of gal.
What's that?
Is that like Facebook?
That was before Facebook and all of that.
But, you know, again, it's just, it's, I had something else I was going to add to this,
but it's, whatever.
It's dumb.
This is more of us yelling at clouds or whatever.
Jen says the Capital One bank guy was there.
Who's the Capital One bank guy?
I don't even know what you're talking about.
That one I know, the Capital One Bank guys in all the commercials that jeeter, that the one
that Jeter is in for Capital One, the bank.
Jeter's in that commercial and then he's there with the astronaut.
Oh, wow.
Okay, that's fine.

Good people.
What's up?
What's up?
It's Questlove.
So recently, I had the incredible opportunity to have a real conversation with
actress and producer, Jamie Lee Curtis, from routines to recovery, true lies, and a certain
Jermaine Jackson music video.
Jamie's real and raw and something I really admire about her.
I am so happy that I'm the head bitch in charge at 67,
that I have the perspective that I have at my age to really be able to put all of this into context.
