One thing that I'm noticing is that the division a week ago was way closer than it is right now. The Dodgers are really opening up some distance, if you will, in the NL West. Welcome to the Thursday edition of Dodgers Territory.
Starting point is 00:02:04 That is Clint Paseas. I am Alana Rizzo. We are psyched because we have an opportunity to sweep the sun. Diago Padres this evening. They've looked really good. So far there's been seven games between the two clubs. I believe the Dodgers have won sixth of the seven. The one that they have not won was that awful one, 11 to nothing or 11 to one where poor
Starting point is 00:02:25 Matt Sauer was left out to dry and K.K. Hernandez came in in the sixth. That to me was that's, well, you know what? That's a wash. This club, Clint Paseas, looks pretty dang good against the friars. What say you? I cannot disagree. I feel pretty good about this baseball team right now.
Starting point is 00:02:41 now before we get into talking about them. We want to tell you guys, hey, subscribe to the channel, rate the show five stars, leave a rating and review on our podcast platforms. And we also want to remind you the Dodgers Territory Store is open. We have sold a shirt. If I had my soundboard on, I'd play noise. But check it out. We'll talk about this again at the end of the show, but Dodgers Territory Shop.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Dot com. Pick yourself up some merch. There's cups there. There's shot glasses. It says latte mug, but I'm definitely going to use that as a. shot class but help support the show support me, Alas, Alana, all that kind of stuff by checking
Starting point is 00:03:17 out the store. But without further ado, let's get into the big ticket. Riz, you said it. Dodgers looking real, real good. Emmett Sheehan back from the dead, back from the aisle. Also looking really, really good in his 2025 debut, four innings.
Starting point is 00:03:36 One earn run, 6Ks, no walks. Now you're feeling a little bit, Not to say you were worried about what Emmett Sheehan was going to do, but you feel good about my assessment of him or whatever? It's not so much a worry thing. It's just you have no idea what you're going to get. I mean, the man hasn't pitched in you really, really long time. I mean, it was an impressive return from his first start back, obviously, off of TJ.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Why is my hair such a disaster today? Sorry for all of you folks that actually have to look at me. No, I'm glad. I'm happy for him. Like, you just don't know what you're going to get, but he did exactly what he needed to do. He gave his team a chance to win. It's a really good first outing. Hopefully just a tune up for what's ahead.
Starting point is 00:04:19 I mean, that was, I agree with Philip Fountain. Welcome to the chat, Philip. Sheehan was a pleasant development. He was. He looked good. He looked good for where he needed to be after Tommy John surgery. So I appreciate the effort. I looked.
Starting point is 00:04:31 I like the way he looked for sure. Yeah, him looking good right behind him. Piggybacked to perfection. Justin Rebleski. in a relief role, I love Robo. And I've been talking about this now for at least the entirety of the season. I would love to see Robo be in that bullpen. He might be the perfect bulk guy for this team.
Starting point is 00:04:53 On the season, Robleski has a 5.18 ERA, but a 1.35 ERA in relief. It's only three games, 13 and a third inning. So obviously a small sample size looking at his career over the last two years. What do I have? two ERA and eight total starts. 0.93 ERA in relief. He looked good. He looked nasty. He looked froggy.
Starting point is 00:05:17 He was chomping at the bit to get back out there for the ninth inning. Unfortunately, Muncie and Edmund could not turn a solid double play there to really bail him out. Otherwise, he would have got, well, either way, luckily, Robo still ends up with the win. He wouldn't have got the save
Starting point is 00:05:34 because it would have been six innings or whatever to five innings to finish the game. But the kids are all right. Homegrown talent is looking all right. We'll talk more about that in a second, but we got to talk about your boy, William Dill Smith. I tell you what, that was some big Willie style. So we were texting last night on our daughter's territory text thread, which by the way, check out chat BCC. There's an opportunity for you to talk about all the games and all of our shows and everything together with the host. But anyway, we were on a text thread last night.
Starting point is 00:06:07 And Mark Wiener, our boss was like, hey, you know, Edmund should have caught that. I was like, for sure. Yeah, absolutely. And he knows that. Like, I mean, he's pretty sure-handed when it comes to the glove, right? But then I wrote back this morning, I was like Big Willie style. I felt like saying Big Willie style bitches, but I didn't. This is a guy that I just absolutely love.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I mean, he's just a ball player, right? You were talking about how Freddie Freeman is just a baller. And I feel the same way about Will Smith. I mean, coming off the bench, which is not an easy thing to do ever, even as a a pinch hitter, even if that is your role, that is not an easy thing to do. But obviously, Will Smith is used to starting the game, getting at least, you know, three or four at bats and obviously being behind the dish. But the dude just doesn't have, um, he's ice water in his veins. Yeah, yeah. He's like such even like even keeled, you know, just calmness about him. And I like that.
Starting point is 00:06:58 And that's why you should vote Will Smith to be the starter for the All-Star game in the National League. You guys, there is no reason on earth that this man, should not be the starter. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Dodger fan. I'm saying that because if you look at the numbers and what he's meant to this club, he literally is an all-star. He should be the starter. Name another backstop in the National League that has meant as much to their respective team
Starting point is 00:07:22 as Will Smith has made, you know, has made an impact on the Los Angeles Dodgers that helps that. Dave Roberts is the manager for the club, but he deserves it honestly. Come on. Yeah. Well, obviously, if he's starting, fans would need to vote him in. I love this comment here. from O'Donnie Boy.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Willie Maken San Diego Irrelevant again. Shout out the cheater jerks and pro far for that one, Mr. Irrelevant. But yeah, I think right now Will is leading baseball. Sorry, leading the National League in average surpassing Freddie, who's in a little bit of a downward. He definitely leads, I believe he leads all of baseball in. No, no, Will in average with runners in scoring position. I don't have these numbers in front of me. but he has been good again going back to that's an undersell but going back to the whole idea of ice water in his veins this is his third career pinch hit walk off homer which is insane great sarah langs on the twitter machine uh pointing out something i would not have known
Starting point is 00:08:21 no you know what's even crazier than this yeah bring up the next graphic because this is insane that it was his third but look at the company that he keeps so third is most in dodgers history now passing uh rick monday of course, a broadcast partner over there on AM570. But yeah, second all time now is Will Smith and Pinchhead Homer's. Jason Giambi being up there is crazy. I think he rattled off a couple in his, what, year, year and a half, whatever it was with the rock show. I mean, I think Charlie Culberson being on this list with three is far more surprising than all of the other people put together.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Yeah. Yeah, Charlie Culberson being up there. It's a little bit. Are you just snacking? I've seen you. No, here's a deal. No, I am. Here's the deal.
Starting point is 00:09:06 So my stepdaughter, Kylie, just brought me fries from Nordstrom Cafe with this, like, unbelievable aoli sauce. Oh, my God. Don't. You should hope and pray that this was smell of vision. You know, listen, listen. Your director and your producer are going to get mad at you, and that's me right now. For eating? This guy over here, just eating fries and more importantly, not sharing however many miles apart we are.
Starting point is 00:09:30 I'm like 3,000 miles away from here. Listen, move closer. here it's nicer out here in LA. Anyways, we're going to talk about this Padre series. I want to talk about how good the Dodgers are, obviously. One of the things I love about what's happening right now, I said it a little bit earlier, is they're kind of doing this with the kids, with the younger talent on the team,
Starting point is 00:09:55 and more so with homegrown talent. And this is the alternate point, right? We always get the accusation that, oh, L.A. buys their championships. L.A. buys the team. L.A. Well, no. L.A. has a lot of money and an ownership group that actually spends money, a laud just paid $10 billion for the Lakers. We'll get into that for a second. But this is a group of owners that wants to spend money to put the best product possible on the field. And again, it doesn't guarantee a championship.
Starting point is 00:10:26 It usually guarantees postseason play, but it doesn't guarantee a championship. But they're doing it, to your point, with the young. guys taking care of business so far as we just saw on that tweet. Emmett Sheehan obviously back, Justin Robleski, Ben Casperius, Jack Dreyer, Andy Paez, Dalton Rushing. You can even go as far to say Clayton Kershaw, who I realize it's not a kid, but is a homegrown talent way back in 2008. They're doing it with these.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Wilson May. Of course. Dustin May. All these guys. Nine of, nine of 26 players on the active roster right now. We're either drafted or signed by the Dodgers. 10 if you want to lump in Hesson Kim, which I'm, I don't know if I put Kim on there. I guess if we're doing that, if you're saying Kim, you could also say Yamamoto.
Starting point is 00:11:10 So I, I omit those guys just because, I mean, like anybody that hasn't played for any other team. Yeah, they already played the highest with the international draw, you know, signing and all that, it's a little, it's a little different. You can't be drafted internationally. So that I don't put them in the same category. But to your point, it's the homegrown talent that's really stepped up in the absence of some. of these big stars that didn't necessarily come through the Dodger system. Yeah. And it's really cool to see.
Starting point is 00:11:37 There are also a couple of, you know, a few of those dudes right now are helping put together. I mostly just wanted to talk about this because I saw this graphic pop up on Twitter. Right now, I love the B-team Dodger starting rotation, the way it's coming together because there was the A team. This was the plan, of course. Yamamoto. This is the MIA team right now with Snell in there, with Tyler Glassnow. Of course, Roki Sasaki in there.
Starting point is 00:12:00 but when you're seeing Yamamoto, Kershaw, Dustin May, Otani getting starts. I'll be there on Sunday for his next start at Dodger Stadium, by the way. Emmett Sheen looking really good. And then, of course, Ben Casperius, Justin Rebleski, kind of being those bulk dudes and Emmett, sorry, Emmett Shean's friend, Matt Sauer being around to help out with innings. They're surprisingly in a really, really good spot with all things considered.
Starting point is 00:12:24 I feel confident about where this team is at. And maybe it helps that they're knocking on the door, sweeping the Padres here. Well, that's, I mean, that's certainly great because I thought that this Padres team, and I still do think this Padres team is probably better than they've played against the Dodgers over the course of the season series. But one thing that I'm noticing is that the division a week ago was way closer than it is right now. The Dodgers are really opening up some distance, if you will, in the NL West. So if you take a look at what Bill Shaken tweeted, we appreciate this. NL. West standings on Friday, guys, so like five or six days ago.
Starting point is 00:13:00 You can see where it was. I mean, the whole division was big, well, the Rocky is notwithstanding. Who cares? The whole division was basically, you know, separated by five and a half games. But look at it as of yesterday, as of coming into play today, the whole division between the Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks is now nine, right? I mean, and you can see, Maddie Man five Dodge said if you're up by 10, you know, like you're kind of good there, right?
Starting point is 00:13:23 I mean, he said sour is fine. I thought he was going to say if you're up by 10, you're fine, nine, you know, whatever. But the point is, there. We're opening up some distance in the division, and that's really good to see. Very unlike what is happening in the AL East, where we thought that the New York Yankees and check out Pinstrype Territory on the Fowd Territory platform, too, with our friend Derek Lewandowski. We thought the Yankees were going to run away with the East, right? Well, uh-uh, because Toronto is about to sweep Arizona.
Starting point is 00:13:51 The Tampa Bay Rays are playing really well. And even the Red Sox, despite the drama and the telenovela that is the Boston Red Sox, they're even playing better. So the Yankees are not running away with that division, but the Dodgers are lengthening their lead, and that's good to see. Yeah, I appreciate you mentioning Derek, because I saw a clip from a recent Pinscribe. He's alive.
Starting point is 00:14:11 He's live. He's good. You know, the Yankee offense, not so much alive, but this is not the show to talk about that. Of course, you and Ken talked about that earlier today on fare. So guys check that out, of course. Watch foul, watch everything. Check out our buddy Kyle Glazer, too, also giving you the Padres perspective of this whole matchup.
Starting point is 00:14:28 But Dodgers right now sitting 46 and 29 most wins in the National League where you saw the graphic four and a half game lead over San Francisco, six games over San Diego. And I don't feel bad for the Padres, but I kind of feel bad for the Padres because you and I spoke with Kyle Glazer before the first series down in San Diego. And one of the things he told us was, I asked him, what are we going to learn from this series? And he was like, in so many words, we're going to learn whether or not they're frauds. And that's not what he said. That's me paraphrasing it in a homer way. But we're going to learn whether or not they're frauds. And they are.
Starting point is 00:15:04 And you're seeing Padres fans breaking down. They're talking about how the bottom of the lineup is straight up ass. And it kind of is right now. But also at the same time, Dodgers are just, they're on a hot streak. And they're doing it without Show Hay. They're doing it without Mookie right now. It's pretty crazy to see. Oh, but Show Hay's back.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Showing's back. Don't you forget those 28 pitches. That's going to lead to a lot of really, really good things. this by the way compared to last year oh yeah so here's the thing like we're actually doing better in terms of run production this season 45 and 29 games through 34 games it's hard to believe they've already played 74 games my word the season's flying better this year already in terms of runs scored than they did in the 2004 world series championship year so again and this is a this this does beg the question has this offense even hit their stride yet because i don't ever feel like
Starting point is 00:15:56 everybody up and down the lineup at the same time consistently has been doing that. So again, a good team is just going to continue to get better. If they can just hold serve, which they're doing more than holding serve, they're creating some distance. That is good news. Yeah, Dodgers pulling away in the National League West. We feel real good about it. A lot of baseball still to be played, of course, and a lot of Dodgers territory coming up.
Starting point is 00:16:17 But first, we're going to hear from our friends of foul territory. Then we'll be back and we're going to talk Michael Confordo. It is summertime. Starting point is 00:18:49 Savings vary. Hey there. I'm Kat. I'm a college athlete. I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, which caused back pain and stiffness every day. With Cosentics, I'm able to stay active. Cosentix secukinumab is prescribed for adults
Starting point is 00:19:06 with active psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylidyliditis, or non-radographic axial spondolo arthritis, available in both IV infusion and self-injection. Don't use if allergic to Kosentics. Get checked for TB before starting. Increased risk of infections and lowered ability to fight them may occur.
Starting point is 00:19:22 like TB or other serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infections. Some are fatal. Tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms like fevers, sweats, chills, muscle legs, or cough, had a vaccine or planned to, or if IBD symptoms develop or worsen. Serious allergic reactions and severe eczema-like skin reactions may occur.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Learn more at 1-844 Kocentics or Kocentix. Move and feel better. Ask a rheumatologist about Kocentics. Clint, I had a conversation the other day with somebody very close to this ball club about Michael Conforto and what the situation was in terms of putting him in the lineup versus Hassan Kim, obviously, who seems to have some more production, at least as of late. And the person said that, listen, they're not quite ready. This was a week and change ago. So let me be clear about that. This was not today or yesterday. But the point was there's still a little bit of a runway with Conforto. However, they do understand the absolute need to get Hassan come in, Hassan Kim in there, rather. play him to spell Rojas, to spell Conforto, to spell a couple of other people. But he definitely has earned the right to probably be in that lineup a bit more consistently.
Starting point is 00:20:41 And for whatever reason, Conforto just has not had even a significantly decent, even small stretch with the Dodgers of productivity. I don't know, you know, a couple questions here. And you and I talked about this in our production meeting. Do we DFA Conforto? and if so, what do we want in return? Do we want another left-handed bat, power bat off the bench? Or do we need to just see him as a bench player only and not DFA him? Yeah, I don't think this Dodgers team is ever going to kind of cut bait on a move like, you know,
Starting point is 00:21:18 $17 million signing like Michael Conforto is. However, it's very much time to see what. Hesson Kim could give you. And I talked about this on my All Dodgers channel yesterday. It's a good time to see what Hessan Kim can give you because you also need to know you're again a month and change away from the trade deadline. You need to know if you need to go out and be active to add an outfield there or if it's going to be a bench piece, if it's going to be a bullpen arm or whatever it is. But right now you're looking at left field or a spot in the outfield. and there's a clear need. When Michael Conforto's starting, there's a clear need there.
Starting point is 00:21:57 So if it's going to be Kim getting the majority of that playing time and he's playing center and you slide Paix over to left where he's also been solid, this is the time to learn it. And Andrew Friedman did speak this week about the trade deadline. He's still standing with what he said in the offseason, standing by, I really don't want to have to make any moves. I don't think they have to make some moves. But back to the root of Michael Conforto versus Hezhan Kim.
Starting point is 00:22:28 We are going to start learning that because Dave Roberts said yesterday that he's going to start taking away some playing time from Conforto. He didn't start last night, not starting today on Thursday in the series finale. And we have a clip here from our friends over at Dodger Blue. So let's listen to Dave talking about this Conforto situation. We'll come back and digest it. I see him playing a lot still. I do. I do think that in a meritocracy in that vein, I think that Haysong has earned opportunities and I don't want to just kind of get him to lose his mojo and sit for four or five, six days and expect good a batch. So I think that he's earning the opportunity to get somewhat of a consistent look and we'll go from there. Here's the thing. I think it's obviously it's a bummer for Comforto because I really thought I remember when they signed him. I was super psyched. I really thought it was going to lengthen the lineup. Remember I was all about this signing. I was really hoping that that left-handed bat was going to really help balance the lineup out a little bit towards the bottom part of the lineup. But that being said, he's batting 168 right now over the course of the season in 202 at bats and that's over 65 games. I mean, the teams played seven.
Starting point is 00:23:48 So he's had a pretty significant number of at-bats. I mean, 202 at-bats so far for a guy that's not an obvious every single-day player or a superstar. I think it's a pretty decent sample size, but also good for He's sung Kim because, I mean, this is a guy that's done it at every level, right? He did it in the KBO. He's done it at AAA, as you've pointed out. And he's done it so far in the time that he's been given at the Major League Baseball level. So right now, you kind of ride it and see how he can perform. and I think perhaps he'll only get better with more consistent playing time and not always having to like look over his shoulder like oh yeah am i gonna you know three hits today el ben show tomorrow well you know the whole idea of looking over his shoulder it's like yesterday and i'm i'm not this is not an attack on on dave and it's not an attack on the front offices strategy because i understand you know thinking in davisms you know you got to keep keke hernandez relevant which is why he's going to pinch it against lefties he's a lefty killer y
Starting point is 00:24:48 yada yada. So I did make the note, you know, Heson Kim has hit lefties. He's hit all handers at every level he's now played. Very small sample size at the big league level. He's like, I think it's three for four. But at this point in time, I need to see him playing. Again, going back and reiterating what I'm saying and piggybacking off of, or continuing off of your question from earlier, we need to see, I need to see what Kim can do now to know whether or not Conforto is going to be on the bench or you need to use that that roster spot in a DFA situation or a weird salary dump trade thing to bring in somebody who's going to be an outfielder. Now, there's also no very clear options for this team to pick up.
Starting point is 00:25:32 That's another one of the things Andrew Friedman has mentioned. It's like if there is a very clear and obvious upgrade that we can go out and acquire, they will always consider those. But who is it going to be if it's not, you know, that's the thing. I mean, like, who's even out there? And the thing, too, is like, granted, to the Los Angeles Dodgers, 17 million is nothing. But it's not like you just gave this dude a million dollars.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Like, $17 million is significant. And I think that if you look at what they thought that they were going to get out of Conforto, they're probably pretty disappointed in terms of the way that this production hasn't necessarily worked its way out. Now, I do know that they like the person. They like, you know, he's a good dude. but that's not going to give you at bats. But perhaps if they start to play Kim Moore and, you know, Conforto just is, I guess, regular, I can't even talk today,
Starting point is 00:26:26 relegated to a bench roll, maybe without having to question anymore his role, maybe that'll help him too. Yeah, no, that could be a solid role. And we know this team would like to have a, well, hopefully it's a solid left-handed bat off of the bench. It could help them out a decent amount because they would, have him. And if Dalton rushing's not starting, he's left-handed. You know, Kim in this scenario would be in the starting lineup and then right-handed options. You have Kike Hernandez, Miguel Rojas, which
Starting point is 00:26:56 Miggi Roe, we should probably have a conversation about at some point in time, not now. Again, right now is the time to really see what Kim is all about. I'm going to three, I'm not reiterating, I'm three iterating this. Now is the time to play Kim. You've already given, like you said, 200 to two at-bats and, what, 65 games to Michael Conforto. He's hit. He's hit, hitting a buck 68 he's not even hitting his weight yeah you miss sometimes you're swinging yeah yeah sometimes you know and again he has been given quite the runway i i do believe 65 games is is enough time to figure out if um you know this is going to pan out or not so perhaps again an opportunity to just know that he's a role player bench player it will help uh what is so funny
Starting point is 00:27:40 i was going to say i i could tell you about two two games three games that i would not be a good major league hitter this season so 65 games is kind of a lot right and for i mean that's you guys have a little bit different resume i i understand um i understand but that's fine all right if i could if i could hit my weight i'd be a hall of famer let me tell you that oh well i could i well okay that's that's for another program maybe and one thing like you know like when you can you talk about your family and that's fine but somebody else talks about your family in a negative way and you want you want to go toe to toe and like go to blows yeah like you can bash on yourself i'm not going to bash on you because your family all right much more to

We are down to our last few hours to be able to bid on four field-level seats as well as free parking in Lottie at Dodgers Stadium. It's the 4th of July game. It's the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Houston Astro. Both teams at top of their division, obviously there's a lot of bad blood in between these two clubs from the 2017 season. But every single cent goes to dogs in need through my nonprofit, giddreesguardian.org. You can go to 32 auctions.com slash H-O-U-L-D.
Starting point is 00:32:33 So that's Houston, Los Angeles Dodgers, create a free account and bid, high bid wins, four tickets and parking. Thank you to Anita Olson for the donation. We appreciate that very much. Every cent goes to dogs in need. I understand, Clint, we have a super chat. We always appreciate when folks participate here on the show and are part of the show. So let's take a look at that super chat now. From our friend Francisco Diaz is a 999 super chat.
Starting point is 00:32:59 I want to point out, we don't just read super chats. This is right now we had a lot of conversation between you and I today, but we will get the chat more involved next time. But Francisco apparently lives down there, down south in the San Diego area. It says nothing was better than hearing, being in San Diego, hearing a neighbor go from losing his mind about Xander Bogart's coming through for his team, just to hear him yelling a few minutes later. You got to be kidding me. And I'm just like, oh, that was a beautiful.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Was that a chef's kiss? A little bit. Listen, honestly, Padres pain does bring me some joy. There's a lot of deep-seated issues with their fan base from doing this type of crap on the internet for quite, some time. Speaking of doing this crap on the internet, guys, I want to remind you I do have my own YouTube channel. No, no, not that. I'm talking about me.
Starting point is 00:33:51 This is about me, Riz. Come on now. You're so self-serving, Paseas. I mean, I write the show, so I get to be. But check out my YouTube channel, All Dodgers with Clint Pocas I'll be live again Saturday, morning 11 a.m. Coffee and Dodgers Talk. It's usually a good time.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Usually a good time. I've never had a bad time doing it, and we hang out a lot with the chat there. So yeah, tube in, check that out, 11 a.m. Pacific time. Before we do get out of here, Alana, I know you had some thoughts about the passing bomb from earlier yesterday. It was yesterday, I guess, where the world broke. And we learned that Dodgers controlling owner, Mark Walter, $10 billion, L.A. Lakers. Holy crap.
Starting point is 00:34:36 It's a lot of money. Yeah, so my whole, this is all I'm going to say about this, the next time I hear anybody complain about what amount of money a star like Shohei Otani is getting or a star like Juan Soto is getting, just remember how much the owners have. 10 billion with AB, everyone, to purchase the majority share of the Los Angeles Lakers. By the way, Shohay Otani is now they're starting point guard. This is an unbelievably epic deal in terms of a professional sports, franchise being purchased. Remember, the Dodgers were purchased for $2 billion, $2 billion back in like 2013, 2014 from the McCorts with this new Guggenheim ownership group. So Mark Walter and that
Starting point is 00:35:25 ownership group has done an amazing job with the Los Angeles daughters and giving the Dodger fan base an unbelievable amount of good players, competitive baseball, perennial postseason appearances. and that is hopefully what's going to continue to happen with the Los Angeles Lakers. But I don't want to hear it anymore about, oh, they're spoiled millionaires, blah, blah, blah. Trust me, the owners have more money and every single of the 30 can spend it. You know what? It's funny you mentioned coming out of the McCourt era, us who were fans at that time watching this team surviving, enduring the end of the Frank and Jamie McCourt era.
Starting point is 00:36:06 and that glimmer of hope when Magic and Guggenheim and Mark Walter, Todd Bowley, and the rest of the gang, Stan Kasten, come in on the white horse to save us. And you think of now where this ball club is at 13 years later. Of course, getting the SportsNet deal helped out, hiring an amazing team that included you, Bulldog, Hartung, and all that, like giving, granted,
Starting point is 00:36:35 we were blocked. a lot of people were blacked out from watching you guys, which was very frustrating for a while. I still am very annoyed that so many people missed out on the final years of Vin Scully. It's a travesty. But still, some of the small sacrifices to get to where we're at, now you translate that to where the Lakers are going to be, you know, the Lucidantia trade out of nowhere. We're like, oh, wait, people, the Lakers could be good again. Now all of a sudden, you see Mark Walter, you see that cheddar showing up.
Starting point is 00:37:06 You feel real good. It's a good time. Dave Roberts said it at Fan Fest. And shout out to Matthew Moreno of Dodger Blue for pointing it, bringing it back up on Twitter yesterday. Los Angeles is the epicenter of sports. This is going to help a whole lot when the Lakers and L.A. Dodgers are out there just winning titles. Let's go back to back. I'm happy for them.
Starting point is 00:37:28 I think that's, I mean, I'm a Nuggets fan when it comes to basketball. And I like the league. I mean, whatever, it's fine. I'm not a huge basketball fan. I turned on my board, so. I mean, whatever. We just won the more recent championship than the league. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:37:41 It doesn't matter. I don't care. I like baseball. The point is, and by the way, Nicole Taylor in our chat just said, Shohay would be a terrible point guard. I was thinking forward. Like, he's got the shoulders to be a forward. The bandwidth.
Starting point is 00:37:53 What I want to know is what Lakers, like, what Lakers, like, what Lakers, like, do we have anybody that could pitch? Like, does Rue Hachamura have a curveball or something like that? Because Dodgers could use some arms, but that's a, that's jumping. The A team is coming back, Clint. Yeah, congratulations to the Mark Walter and that group for the, and congratulations to the bus family. Good Lord.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So when Jerry Bus bought the team, it was like $64.5 million or something, and they just sold it for $10 billion. With that be insane. Guys, if you have $10 billion laying around, spend some money in the Dodgers territory shop, we'd appreciate it. Store is open now. that is Dodgers Territory Shop.com. Get yourself a beanie.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Get yourself a cup. Get yourself a mug. A shirt, a polo, all that kind of stuff. Those hoodies are sweet. I'm not going to lie. And if you wanted to be an executive, you can get a three-quarter zip, like all the other executives.
Starting point is 00:38:53 We need to send a Q-Zip. I think Gomer would rock one. Brandon Gomes, he would rock one of the Q-Zips. But, guys, also the store button is here on our YouTube channel. Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah, there's a mean guy. Oh, no. Yeah. And it doesn't matter. I can't even say his handle because it's a, it's crass and rude. anyway, for those of you that are kind, thanks for being here. We appreciate it. Clint and I'll be back with a brand new show on Monday. Go shopping, guys. Go Dodgers.
