It is a great question.
Is this a distraction to Andrew?
I would imagine anything pulling away from a hundred percent focus on the Dodgers,
even as small of a role as it may be with the Lakers,
it's got to at least present a little bit of a distraction.
Everybody and welcome to a brand new episode of Dodgers territory on this Monday,
November 24th, the Monday before Thanksgiving.

If you guys helped us get there.
We appreciate it very, very much.
We've got a lot of rumors to talk about, and that's all it is, Clint.
It's just rumors.
But first, my friend, you wanted to go over some news surrounding our sport in the big ticket.
Let's do it.
Got some Dodgers stuff to talk.
about how about that we do have some daughter stuff to talk about and the biggest thing i think since the
last time you and i were together on the air is we had discussed three of the candidates that could be
non-tendered by the los angeles dodgers and we thought perhaps evan phillips would be one of those just because
of the price tag associated with his name and clint that's exactly who it was also non-tendered pitching
prospect nick frasso to bring the 40-man roster to 37 but obviously the big news here is evan phillips he was projected to bring
and what, 6.1 million, Ken Rosenthal on X saying that he was non-tendered by L.A., now a free agent,
underwent Tommy John surgery on June 4th.
Now, this does not mean, guys, that Evan Phillips will not be a Dodger in 2026.
What it means is that he will not be a Dodger at the projected 6.1,
or at least under the exact same contract terms.
So if he does come back, they will have to redo the deal to make it more, my guess is team-friendly.
I mean, team-friendly, player-friendly to a degree.
This, in my opinion, this was not about the money.
This was about the roster spot.
We've talked about it.
The Dodgers are in dire need of space on the 40-man roster.
It's now, as you mentioned, at 37 after they cut E-Philly and they cut Nick Frasso from the 40-man roster.
If you want to make any splashes, any sort of moves, any signings, blockbuster deals, whatever,
you've got to have space on that 40-man roster to place a player.
But with Evan Phillips, you know, the expectation, he's not going to be back until second half of the season at
best as he returns from Tommy John's surgery.
I see this being one of those situations like we've seen in years past,
kind of a little bit with Clayton Kershaw.
You kind of had it with Kiki for different reasons.
But there is a strong likelihood.
I would put good money on the fact that the Dodgers and Evan Phillips will, you know,
reunite.
They will come together on an agreement closer towards spring training.
Most likely, as soon as the 60s.
the 60-day injured list opens as spring training camps open, that's when you'll see Evan Phillips
and the Dodgers come to agreement on probably some sort of one-and-one sort of deal, you know, an
option for a second year.
But there's a lot of interest, I think, on both sides in a reunion.
Evan Phillips knows this is a team that is the best set up to try to win a title.
I think he would like to be a part of the third one.
It wasn't able to be a part of that second one in the middle.
So he could have himself a little like title sandwich where he was.
pitching and being an important part of it.
But yeah, do you think these two sides come back together?
I definitely do.
I mean, he's not going to pitch for anybody until the second half of the season, right?
Because of the whole Tommy John surgery situation anyway.
So he's going to miss at least the first half of next year.
They don't need him on a roster spot in that period.
So you're right.
I think once the 60-day I.L.
opens up, then you're going to see Evan Phillips kind of work his way back into the mix,
regardless of what the contract terms are.
probably a probably a I would I would imagine a team option for
2027 based on how he does in 2026 obviously coming off of the surgery but I do
not think yeah perhaps I do not see you know I would not be shocked and say if
Evan Phillips was back with the Los Angeles daughters they just don't need him on
there right now as they move forward for the first half of the 2000 again this team
is built for October right so for the first half of 2026 they need the roster spot
it doesn't need to be occupied by him.
So there you have it.
Some other news, Clint, and this is very interesting to me.
And at first I thought it was a joke.
But then I realized as I saw more credible sources talking about it is, in fact, the truth.
So Andrew Friedman, the president of baseball operations and Farhan Zaidie, obviously in the front office with the Los Angeles Dodgers as well, are two key executives with the L.A. Dodgers.
We know this.
They've taken on advisory roles with Los Angeles Lakers as part of the ownership transition from the bus
family, of course. Jerry Buss, Jeannie Bus, the brother buses that are super pissed off right now
to Mark Walker, multiple sources told ESPN, this is from Ramona Shelburne, who covers the NBA
for ESPN. And again, I don't know exactly what the rule is. Advisory rule could mean a lot of
different things. My question is, what is the rule, I guess, at what capacity and how much does this
take away if it does at all from what they're doing with Los Angeles Dodgers.
I know that Mark Walter holds both Andrew and Farhan in high regard.
Otherwise, Farhan would not have been welcomed back after he was let go from the San
Francisco Giants.
And obviously, if you're going to run a team in L.A., why not run it with the blueprint
of the Dodgers?
The Lakers would like to have that type of success that the Dodgers are having right now.
Yeah, we're talking about the blueprint there.
If you are trying to build the model of a perfect organization, you probably follow the Dodgers.
And the good thing is the Dodgers and now the Lakers, they have the owner of the Dodgers.
You have the front office of the Dodgers be like, hey, come over here, check this out real quick.
I guess if you have one of the best architects around, you kind of take a little bit of inspiration from them.
But, yeah, more from that story from Ramona.
Farhand is said to have probably a larger role between him and Andrew Free.
Friedman, Andrew Friedman is supposed to be consulting more on the, I think, the player side of things with Rob Polinka, the president of basketball ops.
But it is a great question.
Is this a distraction to Andrew?
I would imagine anything pulling away from 100% focus on the Dodgers, even as small of a role as it may be with the Lakers, it's got to at least present a little bit of a distraction.
And hey, it just so happens that we're having the slowest winter that I, well, I mean, a slower winter than I was.
anticipating that I was hoping for. That's why I'm talking about this right now. That's why we're
talking about this right now. But I, listen, Andrew Friedman is is a super genius, a smart dude. He has
this, you know, good, good quality flannel button downs to wear for no reason I bring that up. But
I think he could, he could manage, you know, working a little bit with Rob Polinka to be like,
hey, that's a stupid move. Or hey, you should probably give, you know, Luca all the money in the
world to stay here because he makes the organization better. He's going to bring
puts butts in the seats and maybe hopefully don't bring back LeBron James if he wants to come back
for for another year or something like that.
You know, what's funny that you say that, though, is I wonder how Rob is going to receive this.
I think I'd be kind of like, who are you, dude?
Like, you know baseball.
You don't know basketball.
You know what I mean?
Like, I don't know that the transition is that simple.
But I will say this.
Okay, let's just put on your, I don't know, are you a Lakers fan?
Yeah.
All right.
So put on your Lakers fan cap.
for a moment, or even your Lakers front office cap for a moment. What is your first order of business
if you were to advise Rob Polinka and now Mark Walter, the primary owner, the principal owner
of the Los Angeles Lakers? What's your first order of business to get this team back on to where,
you know, the Showtime Lakers, not the same group of guys, I get it, but back to that prominent,
you know, annual in the postseason and contending every single year. Yeah, I mean, for me being kind of more
on the outside looking into the Lakers of recent vintage because you're so focused.
I'm so focused on Dodger stuff.
I'm like, listen, I have a finite amount of bandwidth that I'm willing to give up.
But that said, it's been pretty painfully apparent for a while.
The Lakers have not been a destination for NBA stars to want to come and sign and play here.
The Dodgers, on the other hand, are a destination.
That is a destination organization, even if it is in Los Angeles, with all the garbage
traffic and all the issues and the high taxes and yada yada that would make a multi-million
dollar multi-billion dollar player potentially not want to sign for an la organization players still
want to come baseball players still want to come play with the dodgers for a reason and yeah they're
building you know title teams they are winning championships lakers won in 2020 and then couldn't
really get back over the hump again because they weren't able to add quality talent um they've
been in on big names but are never really able to lend them
Even the Luca thing, that happened.
That's a trade.
That's not a, oh, I am free of my own free volition.
I'm going to sign and play a basketball here.
They have to find a way to make the Lakers, make the Lakers great again, as it were.
I really love getting rid of the bus bros right away.
I think just really signaling that we mean business with a move like that.
It, you know, put a smile on my face, hoping that the Lakers can, you know, build back into being what they were.
But that's my first order of business, finding a way to make players want to come play here again.
And, you know, they, great start to the season so far for them.
I think they're, what, 12 and 4 or something like that?
Eke out of win last night.
But it's the dawn of a fun, good, wonderful, hopefully prosperous time again for Lakers basketball with Mark Walter in there.
And hopefully, Friedman is able to do enough without taking away too much.
from his primary role in getting us that third ring in a row.
Well, I tell you what, if there is an ownership group that you should be excited about,
if you are a Los Angeles Lakers fan, is Guggenheim.
It is Mark Walter, the controlling interest in the team.
They spend money.
They care about culture.
You know, I saw a comment here in the chat.
I think it was from Philip Fountain, our friend, Walter, Friedman, and Farhan will change the culture.
It will become clean and professional department heads will be.
be upgraded. I don't disagree with that. There is one comment in this chat that I have to absolutely
bring up before we move on because it's the most assinine comment. I think I've seen in three years
that you and I have done Dodgers territory if I could find it. It was early on in the chat,
so I apologize, but I cannot possibly move forward until I find this dang chat or this
Thank you. Dang it. Where is it? Dammit.
Something about, I think it was,
ooh, this little son of a gun, where are you?
All right, keep talking, and I'll find this.
We'll find it. Well, we have at least a super chat also from Smurphy 24.
Do we do? I don't know, it's but 9989 from Smurfi 24.
Appreciate you saying I love both my Dodgers and Lakers and love that Mark Walter now owns the Lakers,
but not a fan of Friedman being an advisor for the Lakers.
So let's keep the main thing, the main thing and repeat.
And go ahead, actually three Pete there.
And I love that sentiment as well.
Again, if it does take away too much from Andrew,
hopefully he acknowledges that and steps back into his role.
Luckily, the Dodgers also have so many other free agent members or front office guys,
Brandon Jones, et cetera.
There's also a thing.
Mark Walter, who is Andrew Friedman's boss, okay?
Mark Walter owns the team.
So he's everybody's boss.
If Mark Walter asks you to be an advisor to a ice cream truck at the beach,
you have to say yes.
Like he's not going to say no to Mark Walter.
I also believe, though, that Andrew Friedman has instilled enough quality people around him
that he can do this advisory role and nothing is going to go by the wayside as far as,
I think he trusts the team that he's built around him to continue to be.
I don't think Andrew Friedman is much of a micromanager.
I mean, I don't know.
I've not worked directly for him.
But I think the Dodgers are going to be fine.
On that note, I found it.
Pablo Barondo

Hey Alana
spelled my name wrong
I haven't had a chance to tell you
that your Broncos got lucky against my Raiders
number one bro
we're nine and two you've won two games
I think Chip Kelly just got fired
suck it
okay
AFC West is ours Pablo
all right now I got that off of my chest
I was wondering if it was that chat
I was wondering
yeah oh that's that's the thing
Pablo I'm not
in a position to want to talk about football today because my Eagles look pathetic in the second
happened so I saw it was like 14 to nothing and then I was like oh geez whatever I mean the cowboys
are terrible this year right so then I was and then Chris my husband was like oh you know the Eagles
ended up losing that game I was like oh yeah I saw I saw a score because I was driving back from
yet another camp the final tech sort of technical not technical final camp of the year
yesterday and I turned on the Google just to see what time they're playing I didn't know but it's all 21
nothing I was like I asked myself in the car I'm like the cowboy's really just that bad and then I get home and it's 21 21 and I was like oh crap
yeah didn't they have 24 unanswered I'm sorry about that fly eagle fly I guess they did not all right we have so much
still eight and three yeah okay that's fine we're not nine and two and the only reason we're not 10 and two is because we had a bye

of the away end, a brand new world soccer podcast.
I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and John and I have known each other since we
were kids.
My first World Cup was Mexico 86.
I was nine years old.
I watched every game, and I fell in love.
On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup.
For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team.
Very debatable.
And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan.
I love this game.
I love its history, it's hope, it's heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty.
Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things,
football, soccer is the most important.
Listen to the away end with Daniel Auerkone and John Green on the IHeart Radio app,

I love that we have gift cards because a lot of folks, I believe,
that listen to us and watch us, obviously, are Dodgers fans,
but they have friends and family that are Dodgers fans as well.
Give them a gift card.
Support the show you not only support Dodgers territory on Fowl territory,
but you support Clint and myself.
We don't have a salary for this show, so we do this because we love it.
But support us if you do not mind, guys.
All right, toss now Clint Pesias to rumor has it.
You know, Riz, I really wish we had rumors,
actual substantial things to talk about.
out. This really should be more of like a hypotheticals segment, but we don't have that graphic.
And it is somewhat based in rumors for us to start. So last week I got a hypotheticals graphic.
No, because then I would use that way too much. But, you know, last week I got annoyed.
I got annoyed because there was this Corey Seeger non-rumor that came out there.
Dodgers fans kind of, I think they are also bored and wanting something to have.
happened so far or just to kick off this offseason or whatever.
But so there was a,
an article from Evan Grant who,
who covers the Texas Rangers.
And he had stated in this article,
you know,
the Rangers were said to be trying to clear some payroll.
And one of the guys they could look at theoretically trading.
Somebody who could be an option is Corey Seeger owed $186 million over six years.
And it's crazy how long he's already been away from the Dodgers.
And I see Justin in the chat saying,
Seager income, and I agree, and that's the thing that annoyed me is that people were kind of trying to create this thing.
It's more of a, again, fan-driven thing than actual sources, but it stemmed from that report that the Rangers were trying to cut payroll.
I didn't want to talk about it.
My All-Dodgers co-hosts brought it up as a potential topic.
It's like, no, this is not a thing.
Like, it frustrates me to no end that people are trying to manufacture this thing as a, oh, my God, Corey is coming back.
And then you get the idiot aggregator sites that try to be like, oh, the, you know,
know, this is, they're, they're in toxic. Like, no, no, there's literally nothing, nothing happening.
So be that as it may, that there's nothing happening. There's also the logistics of Corey needing to be okay with being traded, which, as you know, Corey Seeger, I can't imagine him okaying a trade with the trade protection, you know, the no trade clauses that he has in his contract. He would not probably want to come back to that. I don't, I don't think so. And here's the deal. Well, again, and I don't know.
it is not the gospel. This is what I believe to be the case. If Corey Seeger wanted to be in L.A., he would have been in L.A., right? He would not have entertained even going to the Texas Rangers to begin with. That being said, he, in my estimation or my guess, is that I believe he has eight teams on his no trade list. The Braves are one of them. I don't know if the Dodgers are. I would imagine that he would be willing to come back if it made the most sense. I just don't think this makes sense for Corey. I don't think he wants.
to be back in Los Angeles.
I do really think he wanted to go to Texas.
And by the way, do we need Corey Seeger?
And I know that sounds crazy.
I love Corey.
I was Corey's first ever interview at the big league level
when he got drafted,
when he got called up,
all of the things.
I've seen Corey grow into the man,
the husband,
the father that he is now.
I've known him for a very long time.
But do we need Corey back at short?
He's not going to go to third.
At least if he's not going to go to third anytime soon.
We have Muncie there.
We know that for at least one more year.
I just don't see the connection.
We don't need a shortstop.
You know what I mean?
We don't need a second baseman.
We don't need a third baseman.
We need a bona fide defensive center fielder, in my opinion,
and we need a bona fide closer, in my opinion.
That's not Corey.
I just don't see where this makes sense, right?
I mean, yes, it's like in football,
when you're going through the draft and you're in the war room,
you want the best available player on the board, right?
And you'll take that guy and you'll figure it out.
The Dodgers don't need a shortstop.
So if they are, in fact, the Texas Rangers wanting to cut payroll, which it seems like they want to do, considering they traded Marcus Semyon to the New York Mets for Brandon Nimmo, albeit Brandon Nimmo has more left on his deal.
But it's two more years than what Semyon had left.
I think Simeon's three for 72 and Mimmo's like 102 and a half for five more years or something like that.
It just doesn't make sense.
A reunion with Corey makes less sense than like a reunion with Belly.
who is a good center fielder.
I know a lot of people don't want belly back either.
You can't always go home.
I understand that.
I just don't see a universe in which Seeger back to the Dodgers with the 168 million to play shortstop.
Yeah.
The only way it would make sense.
Yeah, the only way it would make sense.
Yeah.
It would make sense if he were open to, you know, playing third base, moving very quickly to third base and, you know,
months could play second.
You could figure out a way to kind of massage the line.
lineup, but Corey Seeger would be the best third baseman, arguably the best third
baseman in baseball if he moved to third base.
But I remember all those conversations.
I remember all the headlines.
No, Corey Seeger is not going to move the shortstop.
He does not, sorry, he's not going to move to third base.
He does not want to be a third baseman.
He didn't want to then.
He wants to be a shortstop as long as he can, the longer, as long as he can, the longer he
is out there playing shortstop, the more he's going to compile numbers and try to
become one of the best short stops of all time, one of the best offensive short stops
of all time.
but the point of the matter is there is no rumor.
There never was a rumor.
Again, it was a, hey, this is a possibility.
This is that point in the offseason where you have columnists saying, like, this is one route where the Texas Rangers could become payroll.
Yeah.
And I understand what Evan is saying.
Oh, I understand exactly.
And I like Evan Gurney.
He does a very good job for the Dallas Morning News.
He's covered the Texas Rangers for a very long time.
He's come on foul.
He's a good journalist.
He knows what he's doing.
He's in that clubhouse every day.
But I think what he's just saying, like, if, in fact,
the Rangers are going to want to completely, you know, dismantle the team and save some money.
Corey Seeger has 180 or 68 million or whatever it was attached to him.
That is a way to do it.
But there's a lot of different steps that have to happen in order for that to happen.
And I just don't see a reunion with the Los Angeles Dodgers making any sense.
They non-tendered Jonah Heim, which kind of surprised me.
They also let Adolis, if you say it correctly, Garcia go.
he is coming off some down years.
Clint, you and I were talking about this in our production meeting of Garcia.
Would it make sense for the Dodgers in your estimation to take a flyer on Garcia?
You know, yeah, you mentioned coming off some down years,
dude still has a little bit of pop.
Could maybe be got for cheap at this point?
Definitely every bit of a rebound candidate.
And I know our buddies over on Dodger Blue talked about the idea of Adolus Adolice Garcia,
being a potential like, hey,
somebody Dodgers could take a flyer on.
I don't think this is a take a flyer type of offseason.
But looking at these numbers, I mean, 22, 23, even 21, phenomenal player.
Like, he could also, like, kind of flag him down a little bit in the outfield or at least was not a negative on defense in the outfield.
But when you're talking about being a masher, a run producer, that was him.
Then they won the World Series and the fall off was a thousand billion percent real for Garcia.
Yeah. But again, I'll stand on the idea that this is not the offseason of taking a flyer. This is not the 22 Dodgers. This is not another offseason of, okay, let's find the Michael Conforto that can hopefully work. I don't like Garcia in that situation. Plus, you know, he would have to move to left field or Teoscar moves to left field and all that. You're not getting, the goal is you're not getting necessarily younger. You're not getting better. You need a defender. And I agree with you in saying,
that ideally the best case scenario, they go out there and they land a center fielder
because it just gives you a lot more options.
I'll say Andy Pahas can't handle it in center.
But Clint, I have a way that you can give Andy Pahas a little bit of a break.
Here is my hypothetical, okay?
We're talking about, and the only reason you and I brought this up, because when we do
our production meetings, we were talking about the Marcus Semi and Trade to Brandon Nimmo.
When that went down, the one for one, I thought was really interesting, right?
That was like, I was like, really?
This is, this is happening right now.
And then I kind of like, they're not the same type of guy, right?
I mean, Marcus Semyon is unbelievably good defensively.
So I asked my number one MET fan in the world of what he thought about the trade.
And Sterns, remember who used to be with the Brewers and now was obviously the front office with the New York Mets is really pressing defense, right?
Marcus Semyon is still an unbelievably good defensive second baseman.
And also, remember, Marcus Semyon two years ago, posted every single day.
So you know you can ride him in the lineup.
You know he's good defensively.
Not to say Brandon Nimmo's not a good, a good bat.
He's just, it's just a little bit different in terms of the glove for Marcus Simian.
So you and I were talking about hypotheticals.
For me, enter Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins, okay, for center field.
And I understand there was a little bit of pause there because I was like, well, wait a minute.
What about the injuries?
Hold on.
I did my own research here.
I know you're shocked.
He played.
He was an all star last.
last year, okay?
He played in 126 games.
And if anybody, honestly, if anyone can keep Byron Buxton healthy, it's the Dodgers.
Okay?
So Byron Buxton four, hear me out on this, because I just don't think we need him at the
moment, not to say that his not a good arm, Emmett Sheehan and a B-level prospect.
That gives you a bona fide, good defensive center fielder, a guy that has a little bit
of pop, a guy that obviously hits for average is a doubles machine, can run a lot.
And you get a B level prospect in addition to Bxton, or excuse me, you give up a B level prospect
and you give a M.
and you probably could get a legit starting every fifth day job someplace else.
I mean, if you're presenting that, or if I'm presenting that, like, how do I do this?
As a Dodger fan, I'm taking that every day of the week because I think it's not enough to
land Byron Bucks.
And he's still on a very good contract.
To the Buxton part of this, 100%.
He's somebody we have talked about a little bit of.
on my other channel as well.
I mean, if there is kind of a, a perfect player that could slot into the Dodgers lineup,
he is a center fielder, he is a slugger, he has on base.
He has the complete package, does Byron Buxton.
He's also apparently maybe open to being traded after saying, I don't want to be traded
less than three months ago, four months ago, whatever it is.
And here's all that you would take on.
Here's all that you would take on three years, $45 million left on his deal.
Sheep.
And you take the pressure off of Pahas.
Yeah, yeah.
Now, again, with that, with that ridiculously cheap contract, I don't know that Emmett Sheehan for as great as he is.
You know, he also hasn't really proven anything.
He's only, you know, season plus.
He's also not been given a chance to do it every five days.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, he kind of was last year.
And he, you know, further removed now from the Tommy John surgery and all that.
But it might need to be more of like a she.
and a higher level prospect,
maybe somebody like a Zaire Hope,
maybe somebody like,
I think James Tibbs III is in there,
Mike Sarota,
but it's probably somebody that is a center fielder
that is closer to being ready,
maybe even Hoseway DePaula,
who we talked about last week with Josh Norris.
It needs to have a little more star power behind it.
Everybody wants pitching.
Every team wants pitching for sure.
So I think Sheehan is a good conversation starter.
But I don't know if she and like, you know, somebody in the 15 range of the Dodgers like pipeline.
I don't know if that gets it done.
I mean, I can call Minnesota and start the conversations.
I'm down.
Andrew, we know Andrew is busy with the Lakers these days.
So maybe I can help out there.
Oh, come on.
All right.
So what's your hypothetical?
Again, we're just spitball in here, people.
None of this is.
Yeah.
We're at that point of the offseason here.
If I had one, you know, and it's not going to be, you know,
Buxton again. I'm probably looking at Jaron Duran, and I think there is, they have a lot of outfielders
over there in Boston. Jaron Duran is somebody who can play some left field who can play some
center field ridiculously fast, can put bat to ball at times, can get on base, can run into some
baseballs as well and hit them out of the ballpark. Jaron makes a lot of sense for the Dodgers and
where they're at and their needs. And I think maybe it's an overpay. I don't know. But I think you can
get some conversations rolling with with dalton rushing in there.
They need a catcher.
Who's your backup catcher?
There, for the Dodgers?
I don't know who the backup would end up being right now.
Go out and trade for Ben Roitvet again.
I don't know.
A backup catcher to me, I don't know.
It's not as important.
They'll find somebody they can make it work.
Here, Austin Barnes is looking for a job.
Obviously, it's not going to be Barnes coming back.
But if you're trying to fill a hole with kind of an area of surplus because
you have Will Smith.
Do you really need Dalton rushing to be starting like twice a week
and just essentially never really getting an opportunity?
To me, it's also looking at, hey, give this kid an opportunity
to be an everyday catcher in Dalton.
You give yourself a center field or left field option.
Trade Dalton rushing.
Maybe it's, you know, throwing another guy in there,
Bobby Miller, get him off of the 40-man roster there.
Maybe a change of scenery helps him out.
But for Boston, it feels to me like rushing is best.
better than Carlos Narvaez and Connor Wong.
First of all, you do not want Connor Wong.
You do not like.
No, no, no.
I'm saying like that's that is their catching.
I cover the Red Sox too as a freelancer.
And I have a comment about that as well.
So somebody put in here, Smurphy 24 do.
Durant is a headcase and seems to check out when his feelings get hurt.
That's not true at all.
Durant is not a head case.
He's not.
He kind of just seems like he won't, he won't take shit, if anything.
He doesn't.
but he's not a headcase.
Like he is the, he's the heartbeat of that clubhouse when I tell you that.
Where more headcases than Jaron is what you're saying.
I mean, for sure, for sure.
I don't know.
Again, like what would you guys do?
Put it in the chat.
Like everybody, you know, you guys are yelling at us.
Owl of Minerva's so funny.
We're just spitballing.
Quit talking to stay here to L.A. rumors.
We just spitballing.
What would you do?
I mean, like, as we, as we, what's your hypothetical?
It's got to be a big leaguer for a big leer that's already on the 40 man.
okay we're not talking just trade here we're i mean we're not talking like just prospects we're
talking big leger for big leader who would you do who would you do it matching the the simian for
for nimma which by the way i like that trade for both those organizations they both the rangers
and the met's very clearly just needed like some sort of change for the sake of change after
the crappy seasons they both had um you know how the men the the rangers fall off is something
that really needs to be studied but that's not our show we already talked to
about everything else, including the Lakers and everything.
By the way, we also got a $5 super chat before we throw the last Licks and another break.
The Truth Seeker Doc R.B.
asking or saying hello to both of us and wondering about the outfield situation.
I want to focus on the latter part there.
Are we more interested in free agency, more interested in Kyle Tucker or Cody Bellinger
and also throws us in Happy Thanksgiving?
Let's keep this one tight.
What do you think?
Who do you prefer?
I don't, Kyle Tucker's not coming to L.A.
He's going to warrant three to 350.
And I just don't, I just don't see that happening.
They don't need that type of, to spend that type of money on an outfielder.
Whether it's Andy Pahas or Belly or Byron Buxton or somebody else that we haven't named, it's not going to be Kyle Tucker.
Yeah.
To the question, Belly at this point on the right deal is the better fit.
I don't know that they go through the free agency route, though, to fix the outfield, as it were.
They got a couple of guys already in-house.
with Ryan Ward and Alex Call.
Yeah, I don't think that's the sexiest left field tandem to start the year,
but they have options.
Sexy and Dodgers Outfield died when Ethier and Kemp left.
Okay?
That's done.
We're done.
Oh, God, I miss those.
There's no more sexy outfield for the Dodgers.
There's, there's.
I miss those boys together.
I do too.
I do too.
All right.
We're going to be back right after this with one more.

I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault and Our Stars. And now, I guess also as the co-host of The Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast. I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist. And John and I have known each other since we were kids.
My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2020.
World Cup. For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the
star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes
only fan. I love this game. I love its history, it's hope, its heartbreak, and above all,
it's beauty. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the
most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Alarcon and John Green.
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
That's awesome.
That wallet was awesome with the Dodgers World Series
Championship on it.
That's sweet.
Thanks, Ridge.
All right.
So welcome to Last Licks, everybody.
This is for Hank.
Look at that.
Cool boy.
He's such a good boy.
So Hank was failed.
I can't tell you how many times by humans.
But the good news is
Gidreys Guardian Foundation
was able to get him some really good training.
He ended up getting an amazing foster home.
And Gidreys,
my foundation was able to connect him with a wonderful adopter who has already adopted one of our dogs
by the name of Oslo, who unfortunately passed away. But Hank is on his way, guys, from California to Canada,
to his forever home where he's going to be loved forever and ever and ever. So what we're asking for
is, if you don't mind, we need help covering his transportation. So we have a $1,000 ask. I have raised $670 so far.
So Clint with his math skills told me that that was a deficit of $330 that we need.
So if 33 people listening to this pod right now are watching on YouTube,
33 people can donate $10 to giddreysguardian.org.
We cover his transport.
We cover his transport to get him to his forever home.
So that's another dog saved off of the streets out of high kill shelters,
and he's going to his forever.
So $10 makes a huge difference.
Thank you, please, and thank you.
Yeah, guys, help out.
Do something.
Do something with your lives.
Do something like that.
Help somebody else.
What are you doing on All Dodgers with Clint Pacific.
You guys are back tonight, correct?
Yeah, we'll be back.
Seven o'clock show, myself, Jeff Snyder.
I got to reach out and make sure that Kevin can hang out with us as well.
But 7 p.m. Pacific time on the All Dodgers YouTube channel,
we'll be talking about kind of unprofileged.
popular takes. We've had
Kevin, Kevin
has had something he's been
teasing all offseason so far.
I'm going to try to finally make him reveal
his number one free agency
target this off season and I
think it's going to ruffle some feathers. So guys,
too, Ben, and don't worry there. There will be
more bad jokes in there as well
for Johnny Boy Johns.
My jokes
are as good as that guy's username,
but my jokes are angry.
Johnny Boy, John. Appreciate the
Click, Johnny.
All right, Riz, before we sign off, we do have one more baseball thing to talk about.
And I wanted to talk.
I thought about talking about Dave, Dave Roberts, 10 years ago yesterday.
He hit, he was hired to be the Dodgers manager.
I think that worked out pretty good.
Three titles in 10 years.
Could be four.
Made it to five World Series over that time.
We do a good enough job glazing Dave on this show already, deservedly so.
He's very phenomenal at his job.
So congrats to Dave Roberts and the Dodgers for hitting 10 years.
What's the anniversary gift for 10 years?
I don't know.
For me, every year, I want diamonds, even if it's paper.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Diamonds.
Give me diamonds and dogs.
You're supposed to know stuff.
Why?
Because I'm a girl.
How dare you.
I don't know.
That's not what we want to talk about.
Our thought for the road is these two clowns that thought that they were going to get two million
for the two home run balls in game seven of the World Series.
It's a father-son team that originally wanted $2.5 million.
Darren Revelle covers all things business for ESPN, I think.
They ended up getting a lot of money.
I mean, they got $324K, but it's not $2.5 million.
Yeah, we talked about this at the end of last Thursday show,
these baseballs being up for auction at ridiculously high prices.
Apparently it wasn't high enough to think that you were going to get $2.5 million
for non-authenticated baseballs.
Non-autographed.
Non-autographed.
Well, the Miggie Row one is autographed.
Like, be happy to get, you know, almost $400,000 for a pair of baseballs and your team lost right in front of your face.
Like, that just feels like a win-win.
Oh.
Wow.
That's a great.
You're just the mean as that Johnny guy that told you your jokes suck.
Wyoming is a good joke.
Yeah.
I mean, good for them.
That's a good, that's a good holiday for them.
a good new year for them.
$324,000 is nothing to sneeze at.
And you're right,
McGill's was signed.
I remember because the auction house did that.
Show Hay's not signed,
neither of which are authenticated.
But all right, so there you have it.
You guys, we are back on Thursday.
Clint and I are doing the show on Wednesday,
but it'll air on Thursday for your Thanksgiving pleasure.
Clint said so you can disassociate with your family
and join your Dodgers Territory one.
Don't forget to check out Dodgers Territory Shop.com.
You can check us out at that link.
You can scan the QR code.
Black Friday.
sale is on now, you guys. You don't have to wait until Friday. Use promo code Black Friday at
checkout and save, support the show. Appreciate you guys, as always. We'll see you on Thursday.
Go Dodgers. Bye. I'm Daniel Alarcon and this is my friend. This is much more famous than I am.
I wouldn't go that far. But I'm John Green. Co-hosted the podcast The Away End with my old friend
