Starting point is 00:02:03 Trust me, your future self will thank you. For him to be that honest about, man, this really is difficult. That concerns you. Does it concern me over 162? No. Does it concern me in a three-game series? Yes. What up, everybody?
Starting point is 00:02:22 And welcome to this Thursday live edition of Dodgers territory. That is Clint Fasias. I am Alonarrizo. That music always gets me going. I love it. I love it. I love it. Welcome to Dodgers territory on YouTube, wherever you get your podcast, like us, subscribe, join us.
Starting point is 00:02:38 We want you to be a part of the program. Get those questions in on the YouTube channel, YouTube chat. We will answer them here on the show. All right, Clint, did you have a good week since I talked to you since Monday? Personally, fine. Had a couple of drinks. But not Dodger-wise, right? Not as wise.
Starting point is 00:02:55 You know, it's a little frustrating. I guess we did learn some things from the Arizona Diamondback. So let's dive into some Dodgers topics here on the big ticket. People are bummed, man, starting fires in the parking lot at Dodgers Stadium. I mean, it's a little bit aggressive just because, you know, the Dodgers didn't do so well against their division rivals. But do we need to start cars on fire? You know, I mean, maybe not in May.
Starting point is 00:03:25 May is not the time to voice your displeasure with the team losing two games, even though they hadn't even lost two games of the Diamondbacks yet. But that's it. That was an interesting scene. What a terrible parking spot for that particular fan to be right in the middle of the drive. I'm sure that made parking at the stadium just beautiful, which is always flawless, as we know, very flawless there. It's always a shit show trying to get in and out of Dodger Stadium just because of the way that it's set up in the ravine.
Starting point is 00:03:53 There's not that many entrances. But imagine a car fire on top of that. By the way, how savage is Dieter Wohl playing Billy Jol's? We didn't start the fire. Well, somebody started. it dider i don't know who the hell it was but somebody started the fire do we know like what happened to people in the chat know what happened with this a whole fire situation i just i learned it was a mazda that caught on fire i don't know what happened i don't know if they were any
Starting point is 00:04:17 injuries i doubt that there was that situation but uh hey you know what that's a that's hell of a tailgating and that's why you can't tailgate at dodger stadium anymore maybe uh maybe fires happen in your your trunk of your mazda yeah i don't think that's why you can't tailgate at dodger stadium but by the way Maybe we'll ask Scott Gierman. He's coming up. He's, of course, going to join the show today. We always love having him on the program. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:38 You seem pissed about the Dodgers' lack of production or lack of success against the Diamondbacks. What about it goes up your ass sideways because you seem angry today? I wouldn't call myself angry. I would call myself tired more than anything. It's been a long week. And maybe the Dodgers looked a little bit tired out there as well. Not a very good showing in that final game. you know, Glasnow kind of didn't have it.
Starting point is 00:05:02 He's fallen off the mound. We'll talk more about that a little bit later in the show. But, you know, you wanted to really, I think we were talking on Monday. We wanted to stick it. We wanted to see them stick it to the Diamondbacks, but the Diamondbacks can hold their own against this team. Maybe they're getting a little bit better. Maybe they're getting a little bit healthy.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Maybe things are turning around for them. But another one of the things, you know, I know fans are kind of up in arms at times. Certain fans about the perceived lack of production for this, Dodgers team with so much firepower. Guys, it's May. It's May. I'm not terribly worried at this point. And by the way, they're 14 and 6 in the month of May so far. You worried at all? Riz. No, I'm not worried. I never worry about this team until the first round of the postseason. It's May. It's May 23rd at this point. By the way, Jeremy Meyer, our producer and our director,
Starting point is 00:05:52 basically said it would have been funny if we would have been like, hello, Dodger Stadium, have taught the Dodgers Stadium PA announcers like, hi, your lights are on in the parking lot because of the car that got caught on fire. No, I'm not worried about the Dodgers. I mean, we need to calm the up down, guys. Like, we need to calm down, like Taylor Swift says. Like, it's a couple of games, obviously, against a division rival, but I don't think that that's going to establish what the Dodgers are the entire season. Do we want them to win 162 games? Obviously, that's not going to happen, though. I mean, there's ebbs and flows in this season, and it's 162 damn games. I'm not worried about it. By the way, did you notice that Jock Peterson continues to make the rounds in the NOS? Sons, the Rockies and the Padres. He's played for every damn team. But it wasn't a very favorable welcome for jock.
Starting point is 00:06:41 No, getting some booze. I think we could welcome our guests. Scott in for in a second here to talk about Jock Peterson getting booed at Dodger Stadium because that's always an interesting conversation. when a former fan favorite comes back home. There's, of course, some love in the early goings, but now he's not getting the reception. I think he wants. Eventually he will get all the love and adulation when he decides to retire when he decides to not keep beating the Dodgers, hitting a big home run, making them look bad.
Starting point is 00:07:16 But it's funny to me right now, it's funny to watch Jock getting booed because he's a nice boy. He's a nice boy. All right. Scott Gierman is with Dodger Blue joining us on the program for the second time here on Dodgers territory. Scott, it's good to see you. What is the statute of limitations on booing a former player? By the way, they don't boo nobody's. So are we okay with Jock Peterson getting booed? I would say no. Like I've had conversation with friends that are like on both sides. They're just like, hey, he's making. I even said, I was like, yeah, just jokingly, like Jock's making the NOS tour. He's just taking that roundabout. So it's peculiar in that sense. But I think the shock. value of him a meet, like leaving after 2020, winning a title, going to Atlanta, and then just shoving it down the Dodgers throat, having just some absolute pumps against them in the, I think it was the championship series. That's the tough part. So I think a lot of people have that
Starting point is 00:08:07 shock value still there. Then he goes on, signs with the Giants, goes on signs with the Diamondback. So I feel like they just have that sour taste. And Jock's just one of those dudes. He'll go up there. He's just there to hit. He doesn't care about anything else. So I think that's like a little bit of like that irks Dodger fans that like he could have been back with the team but it's also like he doesn't care enough about like division rivalries he'll just go sign with whoever it wants because he's just there to slug you know like it's just weird like he just feels like there's so much that he's given to the Dodgers over the years like if you pull up his postseason stats like I remember like still freaking out from 2016 when he hit the opo shot like off I think it was
Starting point is 00:08:44 Scherzer so like it's all fresh it's just I it for me it doesn't add up I'm not the one doing it's just who are those fans right yeah i like we had the comment there that popped up on the screen from one eye dragon it was uh it was uh it was uh you know coming to a team near you in the n o s is joc peterson uh he loves beating this team but we remember jock tober very fondly i think a lot of us still very much uh love that remember that one guy we know 1,000 percent should be getting booed every second he is uh on the screen at dodger stadium is uh christian walker i think he might be the like number one Dodger killer in baseball. I think you had a tweet you'd put out at one point,
Starting point is 00:09:25 or maybe it was a Dodger Blue on the Twitter on the X. Should this team just walk Christian Walker every single time going forward? It's literally in his name. It's literally his lesson. Yeah, it had to have been Blake. But Blake's, yeah, Blake was running that. He's a, he knows. Blake just knows people say he's a Christian Walker fan.
Starting point is 00:09:43 To some extent he might be. But that's just because, I mean, I woke up this morning and Blake said, hey, Scott, you know, you've got to write about this a little bit. And I did. But at Dodger Stadium, he's got a career 1040 OPS, 23 home or 14 home runs, 23 RBI. Like, he's just been a killer. He comes to Dodger Stadium and he turns into an MVP caliber player.
Starting point is 00:10:02 So there's something about it. He sees the ball well. He punishes mistakes. And, you know, you saw last night. And you saw the night before. He's very willing to say, hey, I like playing here and I'm going to put the ball out of the stadium. So the Diamondbacks, I feel we'll get into it more. I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:10:18 But like losing two of three to them, came to a time where the offense is cold. A lot of these Diamondbacks players is a ton of familiarity here. Jock Peterson, Christian Walker, it's just Catelle Marte still swinging a hot bat. There's some filthy arms with Arizona. So just a tough time.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I'm not surprised they lost two of three, considering how cold they've been. But there is some definite motivation and a familiarity factor where it just added up, went Diamondbacks way. All right. So why not just throw out four fingers every time Christian Walker's at the plate?
Starting point is 00:10:48 I'm down. I'm in. I'm in. Like if it, if it calls for it and it's like, you know, there's a lefty, righty matchup, whichever, sure. But it just does he feel, Lelana, does he feel like a guy that you step up? Do you feel that shock value from Christian Walker? It's somebody you're like, yeah, I'll take my chances. I do against us. I do. Yeah, right. You know, it's like I, he doesn't have a ton of protection behind him. So why not just, you know, throw up four fingers and walk him? I would take my chances with him. I mean, look at the numbers, right? That's when I think analytics says like he obviously He loves crushing at Dodger Stadium.
Starting point is 00:11:21 He must love the batters eye and just love the ballpark. So, yeah, I don't know that it's a bad thing to walk him every time. Yes, if the situation calls for it. I'm not walking him probably in the first inning. But, you know, as the game goes on, sure, absolutely. All right. But, you know, it's not just Christian Walker that we can be mad about. Scott, let's talk about the fact that the offense looks like crap.
Starting point is 00:11:42 It's been, it's been rough. So I know I looked up some dates here, but, you know, we'll trend back to May 10th. I mean, that's kind of a time or following that big winning streak since May 10th, the Dodgers are 7 and 6. So it's been a, I know they're playing well as a whole. Season numbers are great to look at and we understand the division lead, but they are in a little bit of a rut. Like, and it's something that's been a little more pronounced recently. And you look around since that date, Dodgers have, I think, they're playing like a subpar offense at the moment. I think they have like an 84 team WRC plus.
Starting point is 00:12:13 It might be one number off there. But it's just, it's been, yeah, thanks for throwing that one up. But it's been a deflating thing for the reason that we saw how hot they were at the start. And through that date, we saw Mookie Betts lighten the world on fire. But since May 10th, they've had an 83 WRC plus as a collective group. And it kind of feels like the offense is running straight through Shohe Otani. And now we're in the conversation again where the lower third of the order, Clint, like we spoke about, that that's becoming a kind of a black hole spot again, where Dave Roberts has to decide between four options in the outfield in a two-platoon scenario.
Starting point is 00:12:47 who all are not playing well. So they really have to consider there's a lot of factors going on here. And Blake, Blake Williams and I, we did like a 30 minute Q&A with chat last night. And we looked into, we kind of really looked into what in the world could go, like has been going wrong.
Starting point is 00:13:03 And the options for them that it's just been who you blame right now. You can't put this on Dave Roberts. When the options in the outfield are, you know, Jason Hayward's just making his way back. Andy Pa has come down to reality. There's something going on there. they're going to give him some run. James Outman's been option. Max Muncie's hurt.
Starting point is 00:13:21 It's what, you know, we're kind of hands are tied. They're playing good ball as a whole, but this recent stretch is exposing some issues that I feel they'll need to address because I hate to rant, but it's about the outfield that there's, but my worry before the season was having two platoon spots and it just being to Oscar. Now they still have those two platoon spots they have to address and they have four options, perhaps five options that are all not playing well at the same time. Hello, hello, I'm Malcolm Gladwell, host of the podcast Smart Talks with IBM. I recently sat down with IBM's chairman and CEO, Arvin Krishna.
Starting point is 00:13:57 And I asked him, how can companies use AI to its fullest potential to create smarter business? My one advice to them, pick areas you can scale. Don't pick the shiny little toys on the side. For example. If anybody has more than 10% of what they had for customer service 10 years ago, they're already five years behind. If anybody is not using AI to make their developers who write software 30% more productive today, with the goal of being 70% more productive. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 So we are not asking our clients to be the first experiment on it. We say you can leverage what we did. We're happy to bring out all our learnings, including what needs to change in the process, because the biggest change is not technology, is getting people to accept that there's a different way to do things. Maybe some low-level player has like a minor injury.
Starting point is 00:17:12 just so we have some more things to talk about because it still is a team that is 14 and 6, but at this point we are far from firing on all cylinders. We've seen it at different points in time where they've been really close to good, but that bottom of the lineup is going to be a problem. Where do you kind of, if you're putting on your Andrew Friedman cap,
Starting point is 00:17:34 where do you try to make some additions or changes to this team, perhaps at the trade deadline, do you look at second base? do you look in the outfield? What are you thinking? If we're playing way ahead of time here. We're going, I mean, it's not too far off. Like, we're getting to the point where they really have to think about it
Starting point is 00:17:51 because James Outman's 27, just got optioned to AAA. Like, it's becoming some very real possibilities. You know, the worry with Andy Pahas was, you know, it was all fireworks and, you know, sunshine and rainbows when he came up because he was crushing everything. Now he's swinging right through middle, middle fastballs, and he's pressing a bit. And you can clearly tell. I don't want to pull it up because I think he has like four hits in his last like 47 at bat.
Starting point is 00:18:17 But wasn't Andy Pahas supposed to be like, oh my God, he's the second coming of the Messiah? Let's make sure that we, you know, send somebody else out and bring in, you know, bring in Andy Pahas because he's going to be the savior, right? This is why you can't get so high on a guy that doesn't have that much experience at the family level. There needs to be some consistency with some of the veteran bats, am I right? Yeah, Alana, it's a great point. You're giving my entire best friend group chat some great material by saying the Messiah
Starting point is 00:18:47 because they said that about Gavin Lux. They're like, he's supposed to be the Messiah. I can't wait to clip this. I appreciate that so much. Yeah, Andy Paa has six hits in his last 47 at bats. They're giving him that run. And I respect it. I appreciate it because they need some consistency and longevity out there.
Starting point is 00:19:05 But the more we look ahead towards the deadline, Chris Taylor is not, I don't, I'm, I hope he figures it out. but he's not the answer. Left field, Miguel Vargas came up. We'll see if they give him that much run there. He's been working on left field for a bit in AAA and that's worked out for him. But who really knows? But they do need, in my opinion, looking towards the deadline, they need an everyday fielder. They need an everyday guy. So that's where I would, I would look. It just feels like that shortstop market with Willie Adomis, Boba Chet. I know the names are getting tossed around. It's an area that I know Gavin Lux is starting to play better, but it's something that, I don't, my end-all be-all Trump card with that conversation with second base and shortstop is
Starting point is 00:19:47 Mookie Bets isn't the long-term option at shortstop. Gavin Lucks isn't the long-term option at second base because Mookie Bets was supposed to take over that spot. So that's where that kind of goes with me. If Dodgers are okay with Bets playing there for the season, then that's fine. But Mookie's defensive metrics have started to really stray in the, you know, trend in the wrong direction there. I know whatever people think about, defensive metrics and then being flawed, it's not looking pretty for Mookie. And he's expressed a lot of
Starting point is 00:20:18 frustration recently because he's a perfectionist. He wants to be great at the game and he's taking shortstop head on. And he's doing his best. But he has, you know, quite a, he leads the team in throwing errors. He's right up there at the top with Ellie Dela Cruz and throwing errors. And his, you know, his defensive metrics, his advanced stuff does not look good. So does Mokey bets is he the shortstop at the trade deadline or the Dodgers go out and get somebody does boe bouchette become a dodger shortstop i mean the the Toronto Blue Jays are terrible they're probably going to be sellers uh do they i mean nobody thought they would be where they are in the a leased i certainly didn't i picked him go to the world series so what do i know but the point is like
Starting point is 00:20:56 is shortstop a huge concern in your mind i think so i think so just for it's not the you know the position they could leave mookie there and that offensive production will carry them and i and it will. Like whatever people say about his defensive stuff, whatever. Like there's a level of defense like Miguel Rojas stuff where he could go on and win a gold glove with how he's currently playing because it's incredible, the best in the National League, essentially. I just look. And then there's Mookie Betts who is learning on the job and he's doing a heck of a job and nobody can knock him for that. But Gavin Lux's offensive production is not outweighing the current rotation there. So I think that they need to explore shortstop and if the price is way too high, which Bobachette, it might be.
Starting point is 00:21:42 I mean, you know, Willie Adomis, Boba Chet, take whichever you want. Boba Chet's really struggling. Willie Adomis is an elite defender with Popping the bat and he's shown it for quite some time. I think that's the one they should still go after. But we're not talking about like a 2018 scenario where you need, you lost Corey Seeger and you need to fill that spot. like it's not that same same type of pressing matter for me so if they refrain from that andrew friedman says we're going to you know let this shake out because we have rojas who can play elite defense mooky bets can still play short or second base and we're going to look towards
Starting point is 00:22:15 corner outfield and maybe a center fielder that's where they could go because antipa is still has options james outman if he's still struggling can still stay in triple a they can remedy that and go from there so i think i'd like i'd love your opinion because this is something i've talked with a lot of people about like alana like for you do you do you feel like corner outfield is somewhere where they should go instead i'm happy to get two guys i want keermeyer and i want boba shett or i want you know i don't know it's like i i can't who gives up on the best athlete in the game and i'm not giving up on mokey bets but for for him to be that candid and that honest about how difficult it has been for him and remember he came up as a middle infielder not shortstop but he came up as a middle infielder so
Starting point is 00:22:56 for him to be that honest about man this really is difficult um that that's That concerns you. Does it concern me over 162? No. Does it concern me in a three-game series? Yes. Because it's like a one-game situation. Let's say it's either a three-game series or a five-game series, whatever. It's a one game or two-game situation where one misplay, one error blows the series for you. So no, over the course of 162, it doesn't concern me. But in those short series, it does. And I'm just saying this because he's concerned. If he didn't address his his own fears and own with it, then I would be like, you know what, we still got time to figure this out. But because he was so honest, which I applaud, I do worry about it. But yes, we need a corner outfielder and we should consider, you know, maybe putting Mookie back and right and figuring out getting another, but who's out there? I mean, who's going to be, who's going to be available? That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:23:50 It's like easy to say, all right, we're going to get rid of this person. But who are we going to replace him with? Looking at the sellers at the deadline, who is better at short than Mookie is right now. that's going to be available. For sure. Yeah, no, I mean, I would say, I would say Willie Adomas. I would say Boba Chet, if they want to do that. But he's not a bat to ball guy.
Starting point is 00:24:09 He's having a very down year. And there is no guarantee he's going to trend up. I understand he's got some thump in the bat, but I would still say I would go full bore on Willie Adamas and just go that way. But just for some perspective on everybody who thinks that, like, Mookie Betts' defensive stuff is not as, you know, large as it is. And you want to call four defensive run save, like a savior. at shortstop and he's fine there.
Starting point is 00:24:31 You know, UZR 150, like, it's going to scale out, scale out and average out over 150 games. It's a, you know, terrific. Mookie bets among short stops with 100 innings, dead last, dead last. Like, he's negative 56.6. Like, he's dead last. Negative four outs above average. Like, he's having a tough time. And he's had some fatigue with it.
Starting point is 00:24:50 And we might see it start to bleed over there because his offense trended up early on. And it was the same way when he was at second base last year. Like he played well. But now, like, you know, two of your. to your point, Alana, that it's a large sample size now. And if things aren't going all peachy for Mukia at shortstop and he's having some errors, some frustration might to bleed in. So that's where I feel it's kind of trending. So it could be impacting one or the other, but his Mookie best is offensive numbers and may have really shown that. He's taken a massive
Starting point is 00:25:19 step back from his early Cs like March and April. And he's still an above average player, but certainly nothing like what he was early on. Hello, hello. Starting point is 00:28:42 So, I did a whole video on this Mooki thing. I'm going to add some thoughts to it as well and kind of piggyback off of you guys. We saw this with Mookie last year where he was far and away the best player in baseball in the month of August, but then he
Starting point is 00:29:00 ran himself into the ground he got tired the swing i wouldn't say got lazy or sloppy but things happen where he was chasing numbers he was tired in september and that very much carried into october mookie is no spring chicken anymore he needs some days off this was something i was complaining about on my channel uh you know in the early parts of the off season in the early parts of spring training he should not be playing every single day anymore nobody should be playing every single day anymore but on top of it with Mookie, you're there at the ballpark, Scott. I know Blake is there as well. You see it.
Starting point is 00:29:34 He's there putting in work at shortstop. He's putting a half days work before the game, trying to get better at the position and running himself into the ground. And by the way, it is May 23rd, a little bit too much too early, I feel for Mook. Maybe they should have kept him kind of getting the, air quote, days off at second base in there, here and there. But I think they've got to give him a little bit more time. Do you think that could help Mookie a little bit more?
Starting point is 00:29:59 more in this transition, this long transition to becoming a shortstop? It could be. Like he's right. He's ninth in the National League and innings played at shortstop. So he's up there. Like that's a lot for him. Like it's a different thing when it's, you know, it's a job you've been doing every single day for, you know, however many years, Mukki's been in the league.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Rightfield, he could wake up and, you know, roll out of bed and go play a gold glove right field. That's fine. Second base, it's something he came up doing. But at the big league level, it's a whole different animal. It's a whole different thing. And when it's coming easy, then it feels easy.
Starting point is 00:30:30 When you face a little bit of hurdles, then you're saying, okay, now there's some things I have to work on. And then it's a whole different cat. So I feel like he's going through a little bit of that right now. Again, it just falls back to,
Starting point is 00:30:41 is this their long-term option? I know you both would agree that Miguel Rojas is a perennial gold glove talent at shortstop. And I don't, like, it's not that they're not using him, but they're limiting him because he's up there in age too. His legs have for the,
Starting point is 00:30:55 for two seasons in a row in spring training, Miguel Rojas is, his legs have kind of, you know, having a slow buildup towards the regular season. So I don't know if they're tempering that a bit, but with Max Muncie out, they've had to shift some guys around, but I think that Miguel Rojas at
Starting point is 00:31:10 shortstop would give them a lot of boost in it just puts me in a spot where I keep saying, man, I really wish Mookie Betts was just playing second base instead because we would know what he'd be getting. It's not as taxing of a position and it's someone like in Miguel Rojas, who's been doing this his entire career
Starting point is 00:31:26 and at an incredibly high level. And it's not, Is this crazy of me to say, Alana, that, man, we are kind of not using Miguel Rojas, who is a gold glove caliber shortstop just on their bench, and they're not using him enough. It kind of feels like I'm in. Yeah. We had him on the show a couple weeks ago, and he was talking about, you know, kind of his tutorial to Mookie about how to play a really good defensive shortstop, and it's tough.
Starting point is 00:31:49 That's why roster construction is so important. You pray that everybody stays healthy, but let's say we fix the situation. Miguel goes to short. Gavin's at second, or Mookie's at second, or Mookie's back in the outfit. You still need a left fielder that knows what the hell they're doing and you still need production from the bottom of the lineup. That's why that's why this game will keep you up at night. Scott, we appreciate you. As always, your insights, fantastic.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Thanks for being here on Dodgers territory. We will see you soon, my friend. Thank you so much for having me on. It's great to be here. Thanks, everybody. Lana, terrific job. Clint, terrific job. We'll talk soon.
Starting point is 00:32:20 All right, Scott Ehrman of Dodger Blue. We appreciate it. And Clint, you and I are going to be right back after a message from our friends on foul territory, Eric Kratz. I want to introduce you to a pup named breed. He's at the San Bernardino shelter in San Bernardino, California, and he has until 4 p.m. this afternoon, Pacific time before he gets euthanized just for space. But there is good news on this. If you can help, go to giddriesguardian.org and donate for Reed for medical costs and foster supplies and those types of things. All right, my friend, there was a bit of history on this date 22 years ago. Sean Green. I know you've been a Dodger fan your entire life. What do you remember about that? That was a very, very fun game. Five for five goes greenie. You got four home runs in there. still an MLB record for a single game. 19 total bases goes off against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Starting point is 00:35:08 And, you know, it's just, it elicits good feelings looking back to that. Very, you know, it's funny. It's only, what, 2002. And the video quality, thank you for your app today, by the way, because you could try to find a game from like, like 2009. And it looks like it was from 1947. but I don't know how much you paid attention to that game. I'm sure you did because Greenie was one of those guys that is just very, very fun to watch
Starting point is 00:35:36 and also very frustrating for some Dodgers fans at different points in time. But that game was quite insane and I'll tilt up ever so slightly because I got framed up in there. They gave away a commemorative bat, which was really, really cool. There was a stadium giveaway. I think a lot of fans argue one of the best stadium giveaways of all time. was that bat with that historic great game back in the day at Miller Park. So, Sean Green, shout out.
Starting point is 00:36:05 I always love bat giveaways where they serve alcohol. That makes a ton of sense to me. Who is going to be the next Dodger that has a day like this? 6AB, 6 hits, 4 home runs, 7 RBIs, 19 total bases. Who's the next Sean Green? Let me put on my Nostra dumbass hat right here. I don't think it's a very far stretch to say it's going to be a fellow by the name of Shohei O'Ton. and he's got nine more years that will really 10 full years to try to do it show that's that's a good
Starting point is 00:36:32 that's not really going out on the limb but i think i don't know i think freeman can do it i mean i know there's less amount of time for freddie obviously just because of a contract situation but i think freeman has a shot the four homers though that's where it gets tough for freddie because if he hits four homers he's mad that's not a good game to him he doesn't want him runs show hey he's out there trying to drop that long ball he says yeah well just just don't just don't try to pinch hit for show hey because he has such confusion when that happens this was so cute i love teoska hernandez's reaction they are such buzzies buddies i love them so much but he honestly thought he was going to get pinch hit for so Miguel rojas our guy that we want it short is going up there
Starting point is 00:37:12 and show he's like what the actual f dave like what is happening right he's so innocent though it's so cute his face his reactions you know what a waste for all those years in anaheim and hey it got in my daily my my my you know i'm grateful slang so boom already sell the team but what a waste all of those years when we could have been seeing all of this great stuff from show hey otani uh happy he's uh in dodger blue because that is fun i love it all right it's always a pleasure to be with you on this half an hour a programming note for you guys listening and watching obviously on youtube and wherever you get your podcast uh we are off on monday for memorial day um for observance of that of course but we will be back on thursday clint and i will be live on thursday
