You have to re-sign Tay Oscar Hernandez.
I don't care what it's going to take.
He's already said, I mean, openly that he wants to be back.
I don't know how many times he has to go out there publicly and say it.
What up, everybody, and welcome to this brand new live edition of Dodgers territory.
Alana Rizzo, Clint Paseas with you.
We're going to take you through the next half an hour talking all things.
Dodgers, of course.
John Hartung, Sportsnet, L.A.,'s free and post game host since 2014, is going to be joining us on the program in just a couple of minutes.
But don't forget to like us, rate us five stars, subscribe.
We're over 5,000 subs right now.
We appreciate you guys very, very much.
Before we get to Hartung, let's get to the big ticket.
Let's do it.
So I don't know if you guys heard, but recently Paul Seawall joined our guys, our friends over on foul territory, talking about the fact that he would not be opposed to being in the bullpen of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Certainly does not have to be in a closer role.
Could be a back end of the bullpen type.
So that led me to believe and led me to ask you, Clint.
First of all, would you like to see Seawald as a Dodger?
And then more importantly, who were your top five, I guess, wish list free?
agents, if you could add it to the club.
Well, we'll get into the free agents in a second.
Seawald, I mean, when he's healthy, when he's right, obviously he's a very, very good
major league reliever could be somebody that you look at to kind of replace Daniel Hudson
in that Dodgers bullpen.
But the thing I really liked about that conversation, and if you guys didn't see it,
go check it out on foul yesterday.
You know, he said, and I'm paraphrasing here, he said just about anywhere else he would
want to be a closer.
He would sign there to be a closer or be pitching in the ninth inning.
With the Dodgers, he'd be open to a different role, open to whatever we saw last year,
which is, you know, they kind of opened the season with a little bit of a closer,
that being Evan Phillips, but it's sort of evolved and very much change.
Got blown up by the time the postseason happened, proving that, you know,
you don't need to have that set closer, especially in the postseason to go out there and win.
But I like that.
I like how much people, how much players want to come to L.A., understanding everything that's
available at their fingertips with the Dodger. I mean, you get the best organization,
the best care, the best coaching, and, you know, there's no role. You just go out there,
you do your job. So I love to see that. On my wish list, though, to the other part of the
question, I don't know that Paul Seawald is on my wish list. I would rather have Blake
Trinen back. So we do have our wish list. And guys, you know, we're not going to go crazy here.
We're definitely not going to go crazy on this one. Both of us, I would agree, want Tey
Oscar Hernandez back. So let's fire off my list.
I'm, I've, as this
off-season has progressed
and we've gotten further away
from the World Series win,
I don't know, man. I just
really like the idea of Willie Adamas being
a Dodger. Something tells me it's right.
Something tells me it needs to happen.
Kike Hernandez, this one I kind of fought a little
bit just because, you know,
is he one of the top five guys you need
on your roster?
If you're talking about you only get five dudes, you're only signing five dudes back in free agency or whatever.
Kike Hernandez, I think the intangibles, intangibles he brings very important.
It's proven to be very, very important.
To Oscar Hernandez, the fact that he's not re-signed yet frustrates me.
And then I already mentioned Blake Snell.
Oh, sorry, Blake Trinan.
But the other Blake, Blake Snell, the Dodgers need starting pitching.
They need starting pitching help.
And Blake Snell would be one of those guys.
He's long time been linked to the Dodgers.
Hey, just make it happen.
What a Dave Vasay's best friends for some reason, which really annoys people whenever the giants or the Padres come into town.
And Dave's talking to his best friend, Blake's now.
But there's my list.
Those are the people that I would love to see in Dodger Blue this offseason.
All right.
Our lists are relatively similar.
Let me pee in on the Paul Seawald situation first.
I would love to have Paul Seawald if he was the Paul Seawald that he was two years ago when the Arizona Diamondbacks played in the World Series against the Texas Rangers.
I mean, that guy was a dominant closer.
Obviously, he's scuffled last year, which I think is also part of the realization that he doesn't necessarily have to be a closer with the Los Angeles Dodgers because they have the pieces in play where it wouldn't all have to fall on his arm or his shoulders, if you will.
I love the fact that he wants to play in an organization that he knows he's going to have an opportunity to win.
And we've talked about this before.
We had the conversation when I told you that J. Peterson told A.J. Pollock, who came from the Diamondbacks like policy would be doing.
welcome to the big leagues. There's just a difference in organizational philosophy,
and I like the fact that players recognize that and that they want to play for L.A.
As far as my five free agents are concerned, you and I are pretty close.
I think we only differ as far as the starting picture is concerned.
And this is all just based on alphabetical people. This is not based on order of priority for me.
I just sent this to Sarah, our producer, an alphabetical order. You and I are both in on Willie
Adonis. I had a conversation with Katie Wu, who covers the St.
those Cardinals for the athletic today on Fair Territory.
And she was at the GM meetings.
And obviously, Willie Adomis is the most coveted shortstop right now.
That's a free agent.
Could he go back to Milwaukee?
Yes, he's open to it.
But there's going to be a lot of teams in on Willie Adomis.
And he's certainly going to be wanting to listen to all of the offers.
I think he would be beautiful in the Dodgers infield next to Mookie Betts at second base.
Of course, Walker Bueller, I think you have to bring Walker back.
What he means to this team in big games is so critical.
And I think having the last couple of outings that he has and really all of Walker's postseason numbers has led him to believe that he's back, right?
That's like that mental is kind of finally matching the physical.
And Walker has the Cajonais that you need in that starting rotation and you know he's going to be able to shove for you.
So Walker's on there for me too.
The third person I think is this is where you and I differ.
You want Blake Snell?
I want Corbyn Burns.
I had a conversation today on Fair Territory with Jesse Rogers
that perhaps there is a reunion between Corbin Burns and Craig Counsel in Chicago.
Who knows?
Chicago could use another, you know, frontline starter to compliment Justin Steele,
Jameson, so on and so forth.
So we'll see.
But I would not mind having Corbyn Burns in a Dodger uniform to compliment the arms that we already have.
Both of the Hernandez's I'm in on, right?
Again, Kike, just because it's Kike, and Tayasker starts.
with the T. But Kike is a guy that you absolutely have to have on your roster, especially in the
postseason. There's just something about him. He's versatile. He's not going to play every single
day. But when it matters the most, you have Kike Hernandez. He's, to me, one of the most important
pieces that the Dodgers have had in all of their postseason runs. So he can play the outfield. He can
play the infield. When the game gets out of hand, he's going to be the guy pitching for you,
that type of guy. But in the postseason, I think he's so important.
And Tay Oscar, to me, speaks for himself, right?
Like, Tay Oscar really carried the Dodgers offensively, not named Shohei Otani,
carried the Dodgers offensively, particularly in the first half of this season.
I mean, he played a really good right field.
He was unbelievable offensively.
He wants to be in L.A.
He's so emotional about it.
He bet on himself.
I think the Dodgers should reward him because he's a very good right fielder.
Not going to give you Juan Soto offensive numbers.
But again, we've talked about this at length.
We don't need to go into it again.
But I think you could get three really good players for what you're going to have to pay Juan Soto.
So there's my coveted wish list of free agents as far as that is concerned.
With the unknown, though, of Kershaw in terms of health and the two surgeries, one on his knee, one on his foot,
should we prioritize getting a lefty in the starting rotation?
Yeah, that's kind of where I've been at when I'm looking at who the Dodgers should bring in.
I just talked on my channel on Monday night about bringing in Garrett Crochet.
I mentioned it here on DT last week.
The idea of maybe moving mooky bets back to the infield
spells a future trade for Gavin Lux,
knowing the White Sox are looking for position players
in a return for somebody like Garrett Crochet.
Crochet is one of those guys.
Max Freed is one of those guys.
Blake Snow is one of those guys.
Crochet and Snell have punch.
We know strikeout.
We know punch plays in the postseason.
I like the idea of having a lefty in there.
Somebody Jen,
Jen Abbas in the chat asking about Sean Manea.
I don't want a journeyman.
I wouldn't want somebody who's not going to,
I don't want another James Paxton type
where they're going to like just kind of jettison him
at the trade deadline or something like that.
I'd rather have somebody who could be a game three starter,
a game two starter if you need in the postseason.
As I said in my chat.
I don't know.
I'm kind of on what Jen is talking about.
I mean, Sean Minaya kind of had a resurgence when he became a Met.
And I feel like he was of that Met starting rotation in the postseason.
I was more nervous about Mania than any other arm that the Dodgers faced in that series.
So I'm not, I mean, I think in Manias, I mean, he is a free agent, obviously.
I don't think, do they offer him a qualifying offer?
I don't even know if they did.
But I don't think so, but that would be a lot of money because I think he signed on only like
an aid or, you know, $13 million deal or something like that. So to get that pay raise to 21
mill, he definitely would have taken that qualifying offer in a heartbeat, which I think those are due
Tuesday or something like that. Qualifying offers.
I mean, it's like, what, 21, 21.5 million or something like that. It just seems, though, that
pitchers pitch better when they get to L.A. There's something about the L.A. organization
that they seem to be able to just allow guys to be themselves. Shorb Sheeb said when Alana
agrees with your take, it's not a good one. Thanks, Shorb. I hope you have a good
day. But there's something about the LA organization that they just allow guys to be themselves
and pitch to their strengths and be who they are. They don't really try to change people too much.
So who knows? Again, I just think that we definitely need another starter, but I agree with you
on the handedness, if you will. So maybe Corbyn Burns isn't the answer. Although if you have
good left-right splits, it doesn't matter if you are left-handed or right-handed.
There's the thing. There's the other side of it, too.
Like, I mean, there's not a wrong answer with Corbyn Burns.
He does have the qualifying offer attached.
I don't think there is one attached to Blake Snell, which does help.
This Dodgers organization loves to have as much, you know, prospect talent, draft picks as many as they can.
So if they can do anything to kind of not lose a player, a future player, which is funny because I'm saying, like, a garrette trade.
Yeah, trading away maybe three, four, five dudes.
but some of these prospects are at a point where they're kind of aging out.
There's not a lot of opportunities at the big league level for them in Dodger Blue.
So I can see a trade.
Crochet is super cheap.
I think it'll be more in line with what we saw last year and the Tyler Glasnow trade
rather than them ponying up for another big name free agent.
That's my prediction.
That's what I'm seeing.
I don't think, I don't think Andrew Friedman and company want to spend a lot more money.
I don't think Mark Walter wants to spend a lot, lot, lot more money.
Yeah, you noticed that neither one of us said as far as our coveted free agents, Roki Sasaki
wasn't on our list.
And to me, that's crazy because I also didn't have Trinan on my list, but he'd be like
5A or 6, right?
Like I wouldn't mind having Blake Trinanin back at all, of course.
But Roki Sasaki, do you want him?
He's not a left hander, right?
So do you want him in the rotation?
He's going to come at a very reasonable price.
Yeah.
So I have him on my extended list as well.
Technically, he's not on here because he's not a free agent.
Posted yet.
So he's not technically a free agent.
So that's where it's kind of like you can't just go out and sign him.
There's a little more to it.
But I'm hoping for, you know, my five dudes and then where we're differing, you know,
I think the only people we're differing on is Bueller and Burns.
I'll take Bueller back as well.
I would love to have Bueller.
I just ran out of room when I did by five and then add in Roki Sasaki, Dodgers are running it back.
They are absolutely running it back.
All right.
So Stephen Richter has a comment.
And by the way, guys, thanks for participating in the show.
We appreciate it.
We can't do this with that, you guys.
So thanks for being here.
Sign Shane Bieber.
The Dodgers have been waiting for him for about five years and he will be cheap coming off of an injury.
I don't know.
I don't know if I need Bieber.
If I want Bieber.
I love Bieber, Flyer, Stephen.
Yeah, I mean, maybe.
I mean, there's a lot of guys that I think would be a good fit.
I guess if you're just trying to find a way that a World Series championship team can get even better if it's even possible.
We're just kind of thinking of those types of fits.
And we're going to ask John Hartung that, obviously, he covers his team on a daily basis.
We'll ask him about that as well.
I mean, how do you get better?
It's crazy to think that here we are trying to tweak a team that just wants to.
the World Series.
But there was a team that had some problems entering the postseason, especially pitching,
by far the number one problem.
That was your big concern all season last year, even the earliest months of the season.
You had that big concern.
And my God, did it show up by the time October rolled around?
So you need to have enough bodies there.
And yeah, they'll have some guys coming back.
We know Tony Gonsland's coming back somewhere down the road, Emmett Sheen,
somewhere down the road, Clayton Kershaw,
Dustin May, you don't know what Dustin May is going to be.
He's barely pitched as a big leaguer over the last couple of years.
You and I talked about it.
Would you put May in the bullpen?
I'm not opposed to Dustin May in the bullpen.
I think his future as a big leaguer is in the bullpen.
I mean, he has absolutely nasty stuff with that two seamer.
Just have him focus on two pitches.
Let it eat while you're out there.
You know, three outs, six outs and dive, whatever it is.
you don't need to try to extend to four or five, six innings.
I think that's this real future here and being part of that.
Yeah.
You know, if maybe Blake Trina doesn't come back, he can be an option there late in a game or Dan Hudson replacement again.
They're going to build them up.
When by the time spring training rolls around, he will be built up.
He will be, you know, starting games in spring training.
But I don't know that his long-term future.
Like when we talked to Mark Pryor last, what, April or whenever he joined us on the show,
Mark had told us that whatever the team need is at the time is what Dustin May will do.
And I think it'll be a lot more of the same in 2025.
By the way, the New York Mets did offer Sean Maniah, the qualifying offer at $21.05 million.
Obviously, he rejected that because he wants to, you know, he wants to try his, he wants to take his talents to that free agent market.
So there you have.
Let me ask you this, though.
as far as a guy that we did not mention,
who I believe is a free agent,
Tanner Scott,
would you like to see him in the bullpen of the Los Angeles Dodgers
over a trine in or over a seawall?
He was like maybe one of the few bright spots for the Miami Marlins.
To the question,
yes,
absolutely you want Tanner Scott in your bullpen.
Putting on my Andrew Friedman cap,
dude doesn't spend on relievers.
It's hard for me.
me to see the Dodgers going out and signing a high dollar big name reliever that wasn't already
on the team whether it be again Blake Trinanin whether it be maybe a Joe Kelly something like that
I don't think Joe Kelly comes back Tanner Scott unbelievable reliever I don't think the Dodgers pony up for
him that's just my thoughts on it though I understand I mean it's there's so much easier to do this
right as we sit here behind our microphones behind our computer and spend everybody else's money
But whatever Andrew Friedman is doing, let him keep doing it because so far he's doing a good job.
All right, before we welcome in John Hartung, let's get a couple of words from Eric Crats and Scott Braun on Storyworth.
Let's do it.
This holiday season, I want to give a gift to my loved ones that makes them feel special and unique.

Thanks to Storyworth for being part of Dodgers territory.
And thank you to my friend.
I love this man.
John Hartung started with Sportsnet, L.A.
the same day.
We launched the network back in 2014.
Here you are 10 years later, two-time World Series champion broadcaster for the Los Angeles
Dodgers.
John, welcome to Dodgers territory.
I don't know if you heard Clint and I talking about how to make a World Series championship
team even better.
But before we get into this year's World Series, let me ask you, put on your GM cap, pretend
that you're, you know, Brandon Domes, Andrew Friedman for a second.
who are your five coveted free agents that you would like to see back
to make the Dodgers team even better than they were in 2014 or 24?
Okay, so five free agents.
I'm going to start with a couple of our own because you have to re-sign Tay Oscar Hernandez.
I don't care what it's going to take.
He's already said, I mean, openly that he wants to be back.
I don't know how many times he has to go out there publicly and say it.
He's even hinted that he would take a three-year deal if that's all the Dodgers were willing to offer.
You got to re-sign Teo.
He was clutch all year.
The fans absolutely love him.
And of course, you guys saw at the rally where while Andrew Friedman is up on stage, the fans were chanting, re-sign Teo.
So everybody wants him back.
He's a perfect fit here in Los Angeles.
Good friends with Shohei Otani.
They got that started right pretty much the day that both of those guys joined this Dodgers team.
Next one is another current Dodger, if you will, Blake Trinan.
He has to be back as well.
What he did this year, especially in October.
Yes, he's lost a little bit off of the velocity and the fastball,
but he's still throwing wiffle ball pitches up there to the plate, as we saw.
And this guy is clutch in October.
He's willing to empty the tank whenever Dave Roberts needs him.
And I think a lot of people don't remember that this guy barely pitched the previous two years
because of injury. So he did all of this after missing almost two entire years. He's got to be back as well.
As for guys who aren't Dodgers currently or weren't this past season, I'm going to go with Roki Sasaki,
obviously the one that everybody's talking about. The Dodgers are going to need to add starting
pitching in a big way if they're going to go to a six-man rotation. So Sasaki is obviously the number one.
He would be cost control to be pretty cheap as well for the next six years. And because he would be,
pretty cheap that can allow you to go out and spend more money and you're going to need a left-handed
starter in my mind that's either going to be blake snell or max freed i think they could probably get
excuse me snell on a little bit of a cheaper price than they could max freed i know max freed is from
here and his parents go to dodger games they come by when max is in town and they say hello to us and
they would they know that max would love to be a dodger but whether that lines up i don't really know um
I think another one you need, how about Tanner Scott?
You're going to need another high leverage arm,
maybe left-hander in that bullpen.
Tanner Scott would be a beautiful fit
because he can close games.
He can be a high-leverage guy,
seventh-eighth inning, however, Dave Roberts wants to use him.
Did I use it my five?
Is that five?
You did.
If I've got another one, if I've got another one,
how about this?
How about this?
How about Walker Bueller as a closer?
Oh.
The night that he closed out the World Series.
I turned to Oral and about maybe 20 minutes after the game and I said,
I loved the look on his face and the way he attacks that opportunity.
There's that final out right there with Oral wearing Bueller's jersey.
He literally picked it off the wall and no, I wasn't kissing the floor and I'm embarrassed by that reaction right there.
But weird things happen when your favorite team growing up wins a World Series championship.
But I turned to Orr like 20 minutes later during a commercial break.
And I said, what about Bueller coming back as a closer?
And he probably wouldn't want to do this at all.
He probably still wants to be a starting pitcher.
But I love his makeup.
He's never scared.
And the way that he dominated that ninth inning against the Yankees and completely fearless.
And as I told Buehler at the rally, said, this by the way,
greatest final out world series Selly I've ever seen.
Just so like, I'm still that guy.
That's kind of what he was saying.
I'm still that dude.
And I would love to see Bueller back.
Maybe not as a starter, but as a reliever, as a closer.
I mean, just saying.
What did they say, they were the bullpen dogs.
He was an inaugural dog in that game.
And Bueller showed, he still has that dog in him.
John, I love the list.
A lot of, I think, I mean, it's difficult to not pick a lot of these guys to want to come back.
We're matching on a lot of these players returning as well to Oscar Hernandez.
The fact that they haven't resigned him yet is it hurts my soul a little bit,
knowing how much he wants to be back.
but let's spin back a little bit to that World Series.
Obviously, we already saw the clip, the celebration there.
You know, what was it like being in that room celebrating a championship where you know,
hey, this time there's going to be a parade, this time there's going to be a party,
you're there, you're hanging out with your boy.
You get to call, you know, a guy I get to call your boy, Oral Hersheiser,
all the moments that led up to an incredible World Series run.
Just kind of take us through, you know, your thoughts, your feelings, your experience for this
2024 championship.
Well, that game, game five, it was that those last couple of
innings were really intense for all of us.
Obviously, down five, nothing.
It wasn't a good feeling there in the newsroom.
And we were thinking, all right, it's going to come back to L.A.
We'll win it in game six on Fernando's birthday.
That's going to be poetic in itself.
It's going to be great.
But when they tied the game, I think we all felt like the Dodgers are winning
it tonight.
And when we had that final moment in the studio and all of us are there,
it's hard for me to describe because I'm a fan first,
and I'm a host of this Dodgers network,
probably a distant second.
So in those moments,
and you see the reaction that I had after they won the World Series,
and I'm dropping to my knees,
and people are sending me, you know,
they're sending me the memes,
me alongside Brandy Chastain from the U.S. women's team
running the workup.
Great.
I didn't have my sports bra on,
so I didn't have to leave that for the viewers out there.
But it was just, it's such a cool moment to be able to celebrate that and to be in the studio with Oral and Nomar and Jerry.
And, you know, this is the second time we've been able to do that, having won it in 2020, that, I mean, I'm living out a dream that I think a lot of Dodger fans would be certainly envious of to be able to hang out with those guys and, you know, watch the end of a world series together and drink champagne on a show together, you know, afterwards.
It's just awesome. It really is. I'm so lucky.
And you are a true fan. I mean, you were born and raised in Southern California.
You have bled, you know, Dodger Blue your entire life. And I remember you and I had conversations.
And you've shared this publicly too, but you were in the building when Kurt Gibson hit that, you know, the famous iconic home run.
And then obviously you're covering the team and still a fan in 2024 when Freddie hits the walk off Grand Slam.
I mean, what's it been like on this roller coaster of fandom? And how do you think, you think,
you know, hey, Freddie, meet Givie. How did, or hey, give me, Freddie. How do you think that compares
those two? Well, I think they were awfully similar. And I think that's why Joe had the call ready to go
just in case. You had to be prepared for that moment. But I remember when Freddie was first
dealing with that injury, we got to the playoffs. Little did we know he also had the broken rib
cartilage before that division series against the Padres. But I remember saying to the guys,
Freddie just needs to have that Kurt Gibson kind of moment here in the playoffs, whether it was
Division Series or the NLCS, because you could tell he couldn't drive the ball. He could hardly do
anything offensively at the plate other than maybe fillet one out there for a single. And I said,
he just needs to come through to feel good about what he's doing and that he's contributing.
I never in my wildness. And that's what to me was so similar about the Kurt Gibson home run
and the Freddie Freeman home run. Back in 80s.
when I was there at game one, and once Mike Davis stole second base, I honestly felt, and,
you know, you know me, Alana, I'm like Johnny positive, you know, and that's, no, you're not.
Actually felt like Kirk Gibson's going to come through with a base hit here and tie the game.
That's how I honestly felt. The last thing on my mind was Kurt Gibson was going to go deep
and win this game because he could barely move. And I felt the same way about Freddie,
because throughout the postseason, he just had singles. He was a single. He was a game.
able to hit one out there. And I thought Freddie's going to come through right now with a base
hit to win this game. The last thing on my mind was Freddie hitting a walk off grand slam because he
hadn't been able to drive the ball at all. So I think from those two standpoints, they were very
similar. And from the stadium feeling like it was going to fall down, that was really similar as well.
It's funny because you say that, hang on, Clint, I'm sorry to cut you off, but it's funny that you say
that you're Johnny positive because I wanted to ask you this. You and I are very close to Ned
Coletti. Former Dodgers GM, obviously, has been an unbelievable baseball man, has spent,
you know, five decades covering this game and in some capacity. How many times has Coletti had to
talk Johnny positive off the ledge? Many, too many times to count. Alana, as you know, this has been
going on for a lot of years. His favorite text to me is always, Johnny, it's in the bag. And then
we put like a big emoji of a bag of money. He's like, don't worry. He would send me that text.
all the time when, you know, they were down or if they lost a game, but they're still up three
games to one in the World Series. It's like, it's in the bag. But I'm just glad that I've
become this source of amusement for so many people. It's not just Ned because Nomar and Oral and Jerry
they will look over at me during the games. We're in the dugout club during the playoffs. And they
just laugh at me because I'm standing up and I'm pacing around that bar area in the dugout
club and I'm like so high and I get so low and I'm into this every single pitch and they just laugh at me
and but they also get it they understand it and I think oral has even admitted that he never realized
how much the Dodgers meant to the city until he was able to be on this side of it and he and I we
went up to the pavilion for the final out of the national league championship series against the
Metz because we knew we were going to have about a 20-minute delay before we went on the air.
And just standing up there on that platform and the pavilion and all the fans being around
and seeing their reaction to seeing Oral Herschizer among them and to see the fans' reaction
after the final out, he turns and he's like, honestly, I didn't realize how much the Dodgers
meant to everybody until just now.
And I was like, you have no idea.
You really don't.
And so now I think they can all understand where I'm coming from when I'm just an absolute
wreck during all these playoff games.
Hey, you know, we, we saw it with the parade as well.
This city was hungry to celebrate.
They were hungry to see Oral Hershey's wearing the sweater again to see ice cube.
That was my idea, by the way.
That was my idea.
Always, always a good idea.
I knew he still, he talked about still having that sweater.
He talked about that years ago.
And I said, oral, you have to break out the sweater.
And he's like, oh, gosh.
He's like, it's in a box somewhere.
I think I can find it.
Like, you have to wear that.
He was like, Dana, find my sweater, Dana, find the sweater.
And sure enough, he had it.
He found it.
So one guy, of course, celebrated really, really hard.
Was there on the sidelines set with you?
One guy?
Well, there was a number of them.
But somebody helped Oral Hersheyzer get that six career postseason saved being Jack Flaherty.
One of the more viral moments of the parade of many.
Talk through that a little bit.
What was that moment like watching?
and seeing that from the side of your eye while you're also trying to be a professional
and throw to commercial at the same time.
And you're like, oh, no, what is happening here?
Well, we were already kind of prepared for anything like that because that was at,
we were almost four hours into our parade coverage by that point.
So a lot of alcohol had been consumed.
And during the commercial break, Walker Bueller came over to us and we were saying,
Hey, Walker, do you want to come on?
He's like, oh, God knows.
Like, I'm wasted.
I was like, I can't go on TV right now.
But so many of the guys were, we're feeling good.
And Jack Flaherty was one of them, and Jay Flair wanted to talk with us.
And I didn't realize how good he was feeling until he tried to get up out of that director's chair and all made that grab and that save, as you like to say.
But it was, you know, all the guys were kind of in that same bar.
I'm not saying everybody was, you know, smashed or anything like that.
But they had a great time on the parade routes before the parade, during the parade, during the rally.
And it was just great to see them to let loose a little bit.
And that was kind of cool, though, Jay Flair, you went viral and he knows it.
I'll go ahead and say it.
Flaherty was smashed.
You don't have to say it.
Yeah.
I'll say this before we let you go, John.
For both of you guys, because you were both there and 20, parades are a lot better than Zoom parties.
my god
noon party i forgot about that
yeah yeah that was so bad i it took me an hour to get a player i was in texas with the
team and it took me an hour to get my first interview in that in that bubble and oral and
john and no more and everybody's drinking champagne in the studio and i'm like someone come
talk to me anybody anybody john hard tongue uh you're about to start your 11th season covering
the squad next season uh appreciate you so much as always the best crew in the game thanks for coming
on and giving us your insight on what was such a memorable World Series run.
Thanks for having me, you guys.
Looking forward to a nice short offseason for a change and I'm going to have you.
Look forward to catching.
All right.
John Hartuck on SportsNet, LA, pre and post game host since 2014.
We appreciate you as always.
Time now for Les Licks.
Let's do it.
All right, guys, let's talk about Silas.
Silas is a good boy.
He is probably best being the only dog in the home.
He wants all of your attention.
You got to love it.
He is incredibly gentle.
He's very well behaved.
He is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, all of the things.
He's currently being, he's actually in Landers, kind of the Yucca Valley area in California,
but he definitely needs a good foster or even better yet an adopter.
Silas is such a good boy.
Please reach out to us at giddreysgarden.org or reach out to me on social.
I can get you more information on Silas.
All right, Clint.
What's coming up?
Actually, before we get to that,
How about your baseball thought for the road?
Did you happen to see this by any chance?
Fanatics put out a 2024 world championship t-shirt.
Take a look, you guys.
Look closely at the signatures.
It's the Rangers team from 2023, you guys.
Yeah.
Did you not have a second pair of eyes on this bad boy?
I see John Gray on there.
I see Corey Seeger.
Close, I guess.
Cater was a Dodger.
Yeah, that's almost there.
I mean, there is a Will Smith on the Dodgers, but it's not the Will Smith from
2002 three Rangers.
Yeah, that's, that's, that's the incorrect Will Smith there.
That's just funny, you know, that's a fanatics dropping the ball once again.
They had, they had themselves a hell of a 2024 season.
I think they said that they printed out like 100 and, I think it was 184 of those.
Fanatics doing what they do best, not taking accountability for the situation.
and they end up throwing some printer in the UK under the bus.
You know,
I would love to have one of those 185 units.
Just like that,
that feels like a treasured item.
Some idiot somewhere is going to pay a lot of money for that on eBay or something like that.
But they apologize.
They say,
oh, we're so sorry.
We'll do better.
It'll never happen again.
But that's pretty funny.
You got see-through pants.
You got wrong teams on the shirts.
My goodness gracious.
Somebody needs some quality control there at Fanatic.
All right.

Have you seen a photo of my son?

Welcome to the Boys and Girls podcast.
Arranged Marriage is basically a reality show
and you're auditioning for your soulmate.
And who's judging?
Only your entire family?
I sacrificed myself to this ancient tradition
hoping to find love the right way.
And instead, I found chaos, comedy and a lot of cringe.
