Starting point is 00:01:05 I sacrificed myself to this ancient tradition, hoping to find love the right way. And instead, I found chaos, comedy, and a lot of cringe. Listen to boys and girls on the I-heart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right, son. Time to put out this campfire. Dad, we learned about this in school.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Oh, did you now? Okay. What's first? Smokey Bear said to. First, drown it with a bucket of water, then stir it with a shovel. Wow. You sound just like him.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Then he said. If it's still warm, then do it again. Where can I learn all this? It's all on smoky bear.com with other wildfire prevention tips, because only you can prevent wildfires. Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester and the ad council. We're going to see some Kim during spring training.
Starting point is 00:01:53 I don't feel like they're going to be ready to hand the keys to him for an opening day assignment. Welcome to another edition of Dodgers territory. I'm your host today, Clint Paseas. That is not Alonarizzo. That is the great Scott German. Of course, you know him from dodgerblue.com, amongst other places. He's a senior writer over there, and he's also a big-time Dodger-knower, a big-time ball-knower. Thank you for pinch-hitting for Alana today, Scotty.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Yeah, absolutely. It's great to be here, Clint. Always exciting times. Some stuff trickling out about the Dodgers. We're in this slowdown period. And this is where we hear about arbitration stuff. if we get to chop it up about the roster, stuff that looks ahead, and kind of those crown, those final pieces that we're adding to the roster.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Yeah, before we get into it, of course, obviously we would be dumb to not mention what's going on here in the greater Southern California area. A lot of people affected by devastating fires. Thankfully, Scott and I are out of immediate harm's way, but our thoughts are with people that have lost basically everything. It's horrible. It's far from done. I hope people find some sort of semblance of, you know, normalcy and watching us yuck it up here for 30 minutes or so talking about your Dodgers.
Starting point is 00:03:18 If you're looking for something positive, we're about a month away, a little over a month away from spring training. So the boys will be back. We'll be trying to run it back and go out there and bring home another World Series title. But again, our thoughts are with people. Stay as healthy as you can to stay away from things that are on fire. That's for dang sure. But let's get into the big ticket because there is some Dodgers news. So since we were last live here, I was joined by MLB.com's Sonia Chen.
Starting point is 00:03:49 We were talking about amongst other things. Hey, could Gavin Lux be traded a mere a few hours later? Guess what? Gavin Lux traded. Andrew Friedman, big time fan of Dodgers territory, traded for an outfielder that hasn't played professional baseball yet for the Reds. Straighted to the Reds, of course, didn't mention that. and a draft pick in the compensation round. Scotty, we were expecting a Gavin Lux move.
Starting point is 00:04:20 It seemed like the writing was on the wall that he just didn't quite fit in what this team was doing. What were the immediate thoughts and reactions? And before we get into what's next, just talk about the Lux situation. Yeah, so in regards to Gavin Lux, once the news came out about Hess-on-Kim, that deal, Clint, the first thing in my mind was this is a move for the Dodgers to capitalize on Gavin Lux's final two years of arbitration. They're going to parlay and build off that second half he had, which by all counts, when you look at the full body of work, I know the last month or so was just about league average. But at that peak, they could have bottled that up, market that to some other teams there. But for Gavin Lux, he became a player that was in a platoon role against right-handed pitching who only showed a prowess of playing second base.
Starting point is 00:05:06 and for a lack of versatility as he showed. And as far as like the Dodgers don't have kind of the time or the room to allow him to try it out, test it out at other positions. But the first thought was this is the Dodgers with the Hess and Kim deal, is that Gavin Lux is not an expendable player, but a player that they could move because it's just providing them a longer leash with Kim. And it's allowing them someone with a different set of skills. And we'll get into that.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Why it's a different scale for how we're projecting this team to look with Kim, playing second base perhaps full time when he gets his feet grounded. But with Gavin Lux, it was a time that they could have moved him, bottled that up and got a package that I think is okay for what the return was. Yeah, I was a little more sour on it the day it happened just because you would hope you can get a little bit more 2025 value. But that's not what the team necessarily needs right now. They don't need somebody that's going to go out there and plug into the bullpen.
Starting point is 00:06:04 You know, you'd rather see Luxie traded for, you know, Ryan Helsley, who immediately makes sense to help the team. But still, let Andrew Cook, you know, I'm never going to question anything Andrew Friedman in this front office does. The important thing is, like I said, Lux didn't have a spot, like you're saying. Lux didn't necessarily have a clear role, clear defined role for this team heading into the 2025 season to have that defensive limitation. It just, it ran. And that doesn't work when you're a Los Angeles Dodger, when you're wearing that uniform. And then that writing kind of gets louder on the wall, like you say, when they, with the addition of Kim, who, you know, he's been an exceptional defender at second base in the KBO. Pretty good deal there for the Dodgers as well.
Starting point is 00:06:51 And it opens up opportunity for somebody like Chris Taylor, who remains on this roster. Other guys in the minor leagues, maybe this is here we see somebody like an Alex Freeland. and of course, if they want Kiki Hernandez back, he's got to be able to play somewhere on the baseball field, and we know we've seen Kiki play a lot of second base. But in your opinion right now, just kind of reading some tea leaves of which there are few. We know Mookie Betts is staying at shortstop.
Starting point is 00:07:18 We've seen video of him practicing there, I think at a local high school or something, this off season. You know, we're going to see some Kim during spring training. I don't feel like they're going to. are going to be ready to hand the keys to him for an opening day assignment. Do you think this is something where it's going to be a full-blown like bloodbath competition, whoever earns that opening day assignment in Tokyo, you know, could be Kim. It could be somebody else, you know, like a Chris Taylor.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Or are, is there maybe more of a chance that it is Kim based on the fact that they brought him aboard, they signed him for a reason, and this is kind of the best guy they have over the other options. I'm going to lean towards that. Kim, I'm not going to say Kim's job to lose because we don't know yet. I think they're going to allow him the time to get it going. The glove's going to play anywhere. It's the offense that we're going to have to keep an eye on.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Like I think the glove will play no matter what. I'm excited about what Kim brings defensively. Shortstop's going to be a work in progress if eventually they move Mookie Betts off back to second base, how it is. But I would give Kim, not the keys. I would say, Kim, like, get in there. Let's see how the bat plays. Let's see how you are adapting to Major League pitching. but I think they have some options to kind of soft landing Kim into second base.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Spring training and the buildup towards that's going to be a whole lot for Kim and seeing how he can adapt right away. I think he'll get a hold of it. I think the Dodgers putting him onto a deal, signing him to a contract that's, I believe, upwards of five years. I think it's three with the final two, the club option there. I think that shows a lot of faith in the skill set that he has. And I think it's for what he is, bat to ball guy, on base guy, steals.
Starting point is 00:09:03 That's a completely different thing than we're seeing with Gavin Lux. So with Kim, you're getting a surefire glove there. And if you're ready to touch on it, we can. I think that for what Kim brings to the Dodgers lineup, this is someone who can create unscoring opportunities. You can create havoc on the base paths. And that's why I think the Dodgers are going to give him every single opportunity to have the starting job.
Starting point is 00:09:26 second base. And one of the things that's really good about this team as we kind of get into, hey, here's the question. Are the Dodgers better after trading away Gavin Lux? Jury's going to be out on that because Gavin Lux, the bat we know is probably better. We know, and then I say probably. I will actually go out of limb to say the bat is better than Kim's right now because he's actually faced Major League pitching. We've seen it. I've said it a number of times already here on the internet. When Luxie is right, when he's healthy, he's a good hitter. He is almost a complete ball player, but he has to have all the little
Starting point is 00:09:58 pieces going right for him. But the good thing is, this team is set up for, you know, they have so many different rip cords if they need to. Didn't mention Tommy Edmund as somebody who could come in, you know, he's a Gold Glove Award winner as a Major League second base. We could also play some shortstop, move Mookie to second
Starting point is 00:10:14 base. So you do have some options there if that means putting, you know, Andy Pahez in center or something like that. You're in a good spot to kind of give Kim, maybe a little bit of the Miguel Vargas treatment where hand him, you know, it's a temporary key to second base. And, you know, if you earn it, cool, you can stick around. If not, we're going to pull the plug and we have some other options here. So I think it's answering my own question
Starting point is 00:10:43 here, are they better after this trade? I feel like yes, just because of all the options there. And you did open up one more roster spot. So I don't know if I said anything exceptional. important there, but I want you to answer this question. Are the Dodgers better after trading away Gavin Lux? Oh, when you, when you say it with the ending there, are they better after trading Gavin Lux? I would say as a whole, and you look at what you're getting, you know, Teoscar Hernandez is already here. So let's look at the roster as it is. Let's just lay out the starting lineup. You know, Shoyotani, Mukhi Betts, Freddie Freeman, Teosker Hernandez, Max Muncie, Will Smith, Michael Conforto, Tommy Edmund, and Hessung Kim. That sounds pretty damn good to me.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Like that sounds like a spot where you don't have platoon players there. Last year with the Dodgers, we stumbled to, stumbled, being in first place, went to the trade deadline and with a bench that, you know, Clint, we spoke a number of times, how it made me, my biggest thing was it made me uneasy with the bench that they had. You had to rely on it so much. It was a Dodgers team that lacked the platoon ability that we've seen from Andrew Friedman teams in the past, where they were so proficient at having plus platoons at maybe, you know, one spot at least two sometimes. But without having that at all, this Dodgers team with Conforto, I don't see platoon splits with him.
Starting point is 00:12:03 That's getting yourself an everyday left fielder, a veteran guy who has plus splits away from playing in San Francisco. So you're getting a starting caliber left fielder. To Oscars back long term, Tommy Edmund's another year there. And you're getting hopefully a rejuvenated Will Smith here with this offseason, first half, Smith's a different guy than second half. But hopefully Shohei Otani keeps that stretch going. He's not affected offensively.
Starting point is 00:12:30 I think we're better. As a whole, we're better. This is a better Dodgers team in 2025 than than 2024. It's just looking at the complete body and the complete team they've put together. They're a better club right now. And they're still not done other moves going on. We know
Starting point is 00:12:45 we know there's still Roki Sasaki, maybe a couple weeks away. Hoping he's going to be wearing Dodger Blue. There's a lot of stuff on the table. So we'll talk about what's coming next in just a second, but we will be back in a moment. First, we hear from our friends Scott Braun and Todd Frazier about hungry route. Here's my problem with grocery shopping. I don't want to waste precious time in life making the trip to the store and I've got food allergies that make my in-person experience even more of a challenge. Those problems are now gone. This Woman's History Month, the podcast, if you knew better with Amber Grimes, spotlights women who turn missteps into momentum and lessons into power. I think coming out of where I came from, I'm from the Bronx. I think I grew up really poor. I didn't know that then because I very much used my creativity to romanticize life.
Starting point is 00:14:28 And I'm like, my mom did a really good job of like, you step back and you're like, whoa, we, I don't know how we made it. So a lot of my life was like built out of like survival to get to the next place. Like my drive, my like tunnel vision of like I got to be better. I got to achieve this was off the strengths of like I want to make a better life for us. If You Knew Better brings real talk from women who've lived it, unpacking career pivots, relationship lessons, and the mindset shifts that changed everything. Listen to If You Knew Better with Amber Grimes on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:15:02 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You're good, Tommy. I don't give a shit you feel good. There's four months. It's up there. Oh, God, I love that front end. Guys, let's talk about what is coming next for this Los Angeles Dodgers team. First, I will say thank you to Hunger Read for supporting.
Starting point is 00:15:21 the show. If you guys want to support the things that help support the foul network, go check out Hungry Route. We will probably throw a link in the description of this video. But Dodgers have made some moves so far this offseason, Scotty. We assume there's more. We've seen some Kike stuff. We know he wants to come back. Joe Kelly just talked about wanting to come back. We know there's some bullpen help probably on the horizon for this team. I have some question marks about the starting pitching after kind of sitting there and just broadly daydreaming about the fact that they're going to be missing some pieces to open the season and for the first couple of months but let's pair it back let's make it
Starting point is 00:16:00 super simple what is coming next for Andrew Friedman and company what is it your dodger dodger radar telling you i would love for it to be you know another reliever uh but the points you made pre-show la one lay those on me in a second uh but i would love for it to be just a reliever. I know that they were pursuing Devin Williams in a trade that would have included Gavin Lux there. If there's someone else out there, and the name, the big flashy name, I see in chat as well, is that Tanner Scott. I know that's a big, it's a big price tag. And that's a hurdle that Andrew Friedman and company haven't really signed off on as far as a big money reliever. But that's someone, that's, you know, Clint, another one of those cherry on top moments for a team that feels completely put together. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I can't say with a certainty that Andrew Friedman and Brandon Goams will sign off. Like they will be okay adding that. I know they're okay adding an incredible player. But as far as adding someone with that price tag attached, if the number is there and it sounds right, Tanner Scott's got to be someone on their radar for sure. We heard some rumblings about the Mets being involved there, but I would just like them to pursue another impact reliever.
Starting point is 00:17:09 And there are some out there that can be had on the trade market. But Devin Williams is a big box that's off there now. but I just know that's an area Clint for me. I would like with the veteran arms, same conversation we had going into last year. We spoke on domestic opening day. Scott, what's the area of the team that you think's going to be okay?
Starting point is 00:17:27 I was like it's just the Dodgers figure it out with the bullpen, but there's a lot of veteran arms. You've got to see how they mix and match. I would like them to add another veteran reliever, someone that you know has the longevity, the track record, and go from there. Yeah, you need somebody that's leverage. And there are names out there.
Starting point is 00:17:44 I don't know. Personally, I don't know. I don't feel free agency on the table for them. I could very much be wrong. There are some pieces that remain out there on the free agent market. I think there's still more trades, Andrew and this front office, Brandon Gomes. They really, really want to make. I think there is some path to clearing Chris Taylor off of the roster and eating a little bit of money. James Outman probably doesn't have much of a job for this team outside of being a. a spot start outfielder here and there with injuries. I feel like maybe there is still some sort of path to, I mentioned Helsley earlier in the show. Maybe there is a trade with St. Louis. They want to cut some money. Or with Tanner Scott, and I'm sorry to the chat to say it, it's hard to see them going to that price.
Starting point is 00:18:35 If he's allegedly asking for 20 million or something like that, nah, like that's not Andrew Friedman going. That's not the Dodgers going to that kind of price. on a reliever and to not really even say that, hey, he's going to be our definitive, you are our blessed closer going forward or whatever. I liked what we saw last year with the Dodgers, not having a definitive closer. And by the way, Michael Kopeck remains around just so agreed to a $5.2 million deal in arbitration. He's staying with the Dodgers like he was always going to because he's under team control.
Starting point is 00:19:08 But you got Kopeck. You still got E. Philly who can do some things in there. Vesia can lock down a game. could close a game when you need it. I like what they have already in place, but I agree with you. There is a need for one more guy. Like I mentioned earlier,
Starting point is 00:19:24 Joe Kelly spoke with people, the fine folks over at Dodgers beat at an event, a signing event this week, about, you know, maybe alluding to the fact that he has kind of one of those Kershaw Handshake agreements that when you're ready to come back, if you're healthy enough to come back,
Starting point is 00:19:41 you can come back to L.A. and he said it's L.A. or nowhere else. Have you seen that? Do you buy into that? Do you think maybe that's more of a one-sided, unrequited relationship or love affair there between him and the Dodgers and vice, as opposed to vice versa?
Starting point is 00:19:57 With Joe Kelly? Yeah, just purely about, I would say, I mean, sure. Like, I'm sure he doesn't want to move his family. I'm sure Joe Kelly just feels a comfortability with the fans, with the organization there, is with how his tracker could have staying healthy, his availability? Is that something I want to dive,
Starting point is 00:20:13 back into. I really don't. I love some Joe, but I think that chapter for me is kind of closed. That's not a name where I'm saying, oh, Joe Kelly is going to, would sign for whatever contract is offered, do it. That's not someone I'm in the market for. That's not really a name that's on my radar here. I don't think he's on my top, you know, 10, 10, 12 arms that I would bring in for the Dodgers on free agency and trades. There's a couple there. But you look around the league, Clint. Paul Seawall even made a plea himself. He said all, he wants to close. But if, you know, that was wild.
Starting point is 00:20:46 He even says, oh, the Dodgers call, something like that. He'll go do whatever it takes. But that just speaks to the championship pedigree. That speaks to be wanting players wanting to play on good teams. They see, players see what the Dodgers organization can do for careers. Chris Martin's one of the best examples. He's cashed in incredibly, like an incredible amount. After, you know, down he gets brought over, revitalizes,
Starting point is 00:21:10 career gets two contracts off of this. So just I know a lot of names are out there. There's multiple that aren't Tanner Scott that have some intrigue there. I'm not asking for a back end closer that's going to be the one A type of guy. The Dodgers have multiple who can fill that role, which is great. I like that versatility. I don't know about you. I know a lot of fans like a set closer, but it makes managing easier when you don't have it. I know Dave Roberts has said, there's always that's great when there's at all roads lead to one guy. But I think purely for the matchups, it just makes too much sense to have a stable of arms who can pitch in any different scenario. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And there, again, like you said, there's options out there. I think Carlos Estevez is still or Estevez is still available. One arm. We're seeing Kenley Jansen get some love out there in some free agent rumors. I occasionally see people ask for it more often. You see people be like, no, I don't ever want to see Kenley back in a Dodger uniform unless they're retainson. hiring his number or something like that or he's signing one of those Matt Kemp one-year deals. But I've got a couple names.
Starting point is 00:22:13 I've got a couple names that I can tell you that I really like. Like I think Kirby Yates is someone that I would love the dog. That's another one. Yes. He's disgusting. Like that's an arm that I would love to bring in that I know to people in that I've brought him up on our streams before, but Kirby Yates is a very intriguing name. He's got the track record.
Starting point is 00:22:29 He's got a one devastating pitch if they want to dive back into the Tommy Kainley thing and just see 100,000 changeups in a row if they can harness them. stuff, then figure it out. But there are names that don't have to break the bank that have done it before pitching at the back end of games. There are names available. I just would love to see them to bring in another reliever. Yeah, it's definitely something we could dive a whole lot into. I also am viewing, as I already said, kind of alluded to earlier, starting, it's not going to be to the level that it was keeping Alana Rizzo up last year starting pitching. But to me, as I'm looking at the pieces, heading towards opening day.
Starting point is 00:23:08 To me, the Dodgers are built to win in 2025. That is an easy assessment to make. It's an easy proclamation to throw out there. But I wonder, are they built enough to get through the season? And I do think there is a need for one more starting pitcher because to open the season, we know there will not be a show Hey, O'Hautani for at least the first two months. We don't know what or when, Kirsh, what he's going to look like. or when Clayton Kirschel is going to be returning.
Starting point is 00:23:35 We haven't seen the likes of Dustin May or Tony Gonsland on a Major League mound in a long time. We don't know what the hell Bobby Miller is or where his head is at heading into 2025. He's an option. Emmett Sheehan returning from injury. Nick Frasso returning from injury. There's a lot of pieces, but it's like, is that enough to get through the rigors of 162 games? It's the new me and it's the old them. Everybody's on their journey.
Starting point is 00:24:01 And your journey is different to this. This Woman's History Month, the podcast, if you knew better with Amber Grimes, spotlights women who turn missteps into momentum and lessons into power. No, it's blazing hot and dry out here.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Don't you remember? Smokey Bear says. Avoid using power equipment when it's windy or dry. Where'd you learn this? Oh, it's on... Smokeybear.com with many other wildfire prevention tips. Right. Thanks, honey, bear. Because remember, only you can prevent wildfires.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester, and the ad council. Usually on this podcast will kill you, we talk about the diseases, infections, and biological threats that can make us really sick. But right now, we're doing something a little different. We're stepping back and looking at what the human body needs to keep going. When you consider what we know about sleep in humans, there's one rule that comes out.
Starting point is 00:25:45 We are predictably unpredictable sleepers. We're talking about why sleep works the way it does, why our bodies don't follow neat rules, and why modern life makes rest so hard to come by. The second half of our series takes us to the digestive system, with a multi-part series on what happens after we eat. Okay, I just have to say that all of my favorite words, apparently are digestive words. Sphinctor, peristolsus, duodenum.
Starting point is 00:26:10 It's fascinating. It's funny. And it matters so much more than you think. And I do wonder if they can do like you're saying it on. the reliever side. Somebody that's more on the cheaper side, not necessarily going to take a long-term deal. Just somebody that'll be here for a little while, maybe somehow could stick around through 162
Starting point is 00:26:43 or more so do the Paxton thing, do the Ryan Yarbrough thing where you're here for a few months and hopefully you earn a ring somewhere without doing much of the work. There are some free agents out there. We do have Roki Sasaki on this list. That is the golden goose, this much we know. But I think this whole, this whole thing kind of populated in my head because we know how much Jack Flaherty wants to be back in a Dodger uniform. People are going to be upset seeing Max Scherzer's name on this list, but he is an option who could potentially take a Verlander type one-year deal. Listen, I'm going to shut up here and I'm going to say there are options. There are some names that, yeah, those aren't sexy names, but it's just about having somebody else that could be a potential fifth starter, six starter,
Starting point is 00:27:30 for a few months, bridge that gap where we're not burning out Yamamoto. You're not burning out Glasnow. You're not burning out these dudes, Snell earlier in the season when they're at their most important, when they're at their most valuable in October. Do you share at all my growing and budding concern about the starting pitching situation? I mean, you can never have too much starting pitching, especially with this Dodgers team. That's just how it is. You can always bring in enough arms.
Starting point is 00:27:59 I think if they get to that point, I mean, they're going to probably explore that side. The Dodgers have some of these names. You've got, you know, like you said, Bobby Miller, Landon Nack, Robleski, Ben Casperius, who are ready to provide innings where needed. And I think those are guys who I love the fact that they got their feet wet in 2024 quite a bit, Casperius especially. Robleski can do it. I know it's not the flashiest of names, but you're going to need some like James Pack,
Starting point is 00:28:26 James Paxson-esque arms who go out there. They're going to make you every single start when they're available. They're going to take the ball as it goes. The Dodgers are running a six-man rotation. So that will provide them. It calls for more arms and more options, but it does provide that extra rest where the Dodgers arms need it. That's just how it is.
Starting point is 00:28:44 They have this formula set in place, Roki Sasaki. I've said on our channel that I believe it's a better than 50% chance that the Dodgers are signing Roki Sasaki. I said it was about, I think, a 50, like a 60, 65% chance for me. Just reading the tea leaves, reading how that goes.
Starting point is 00:29:01 I think the Dodgers are set on that. But also, you have to be wary of how much he's going to give. It's going to take some work. He's not a project. He is a prospect. So you need to give him some time. Had to temper the expectations, but he will provide innings.
Starting point is 00:29:16 But I think, Clint, to your question, I do think that if there's a name out there that Dodgers can bring in for a half a season and then you have no problem, you know, DFAing. him or trading him somewhere else after that, I think they'll take care of it. They're going to have their eyes on both fronts. I see some other people ask me about some relief pitcher options there. I mean, I said, Cainley, I talked about Tommy Cainley, Yates, if they want to go Ryan Stanick
Starting point is 00:29:42 route, I'm just talking about guys who have closed at the back end of games before. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, now there's a, I think the important thing we can do to button this up and we'll move on. we're not the smartest ones here. We know the Dodgers are the smartest ones. They're thinking the same shit. We're all thinking here together, guys. They want one more.
Starting point is 00:30:03 Andrew Friedman said this very recently, and he's just echoing something he's told us for months. That is like their number one priority. They're going all in, doing everything they can to land Roki Sasaki. And then suddenly, that starting pitching question doesn't, it's not it's not going to keep me up as much yeah you will a little bit for sure because like you said he's still young you still have to kind of develop him develop him get him you know acclimated to the states and whatever maybe he doesn't even make the opening day five or whatever it is um but the more
Starting point is 00:30:37 arms the better just so we're not at a point where ben casparius is needing to start games for the team or you know a meaningful games i should say or a stretch of games or the same with land and knack or whatever. That's why you just want one more dude, and I'll keep saying it, to be that Paxton guy, and it will happen. You got, what, six weeks until spring training, a condensed spring training kicks off. So just, we'll be ready. We'll be ready for the next edition for this team. But we are going to get into Last Licks, a little bit different version of Last Licks today. Guys, with Last Licks today, don't have a dog. It's more of a general thought of, obviously with the fires going on.
Starting point is 00:31:25 There's a lot of displaced people, families, but also pets. So there are some services available. There's some help out there, shelters. There's animal shelters that are available to help you out. Alana tweeted this earlier this week. You know, check out everything. Actually, we move that so people can see more information. But if you're in the area, if you're affected by the fire, if you need to evacuate and you can't take the animal,
Starting point is 00:31:52 don't leave your animals at home. That is unfair to them. They have very little control of what they can do. Take care of your pets. They are your family. Try to get them to somewhere safe along with you because they deserve it. That's about it. That's all I'm going to say about that point.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Visit gidreysguardian.org as well.
