I like the fact that he was actually on the charter to Denver. I like the fact that they haven't given up on him yet. I like the fact that Dave Roberts said, you know what, he's a good dude.

We're going to try to figure this out. And you know what? We needed every freaking run today, right? We needed every single run at Corse Field. And Michael Conforter was a big reason that they won today. And I'll take it. You know, listen, I get it. Maybe people are thinking that this might not have been the best signing for Andrew Friedman. I still have faith in the guy. Call me stupid. Call me naive. Call me whatever you want. But I still have faith in him. He made a difference today. Listen, it's going to take more than the 26. It's going to take probably more than the 40. Is he an amazing signing? Have we gotten the offense from him that we had hoped? No. But you know what? Today was a good day for Conforto. So you just,

today it was course field going to the moon and not Michael Conforgo. I'll take it. Yeah. And hopefully he'll be in the lineup tomorrow and drop another couple of ribbies in there and help this team out or, you know, we get our guy Hesson Kim out there. You get Justin Robleski. The point. Yeah. People love that. Of course, the game opens with Jack Dreyer, another bullpen game for us here. What is it about Dodgers territory that we get bullpen games all the time? We get the bullpen games, guys. That's just that's what we're here for, apparently.

But Jack Dreyer allows a run in the first, and then Rebleski comes in and tosses five innings, allows two earned. Seven K's, a couple of walks, couple of hits. And overall, when Justin Rebleski is in the game, in a relief role, he has been exceptional. to open this game, a little inefficient early, gave up like, I think it was like through like 60 some odd pitches. Yeah. Two and two thirds. That's not efficient.

But then he locked at the F in, locked at the F in, living on the fastballs, cutters, sliders in there. And how about this? With this five innings, in relief has a 296 career ERA. Oh, sorry, sorry. This is a 296 ERA over his last five games, which have all been in relief. He's throwing a lot of innings.

But so on the season, 518 ERA overall, 135 ERA. This was before the game, entering the game today. 135 ERA in 13 and a third relief appearances, sorry, relief innings in his career. 13 innings this season. Sorry, I'm getting Coors too. And then you're thinking, oh, here we go.

Yeah, that was. Doom has set in. I was like, no. But then here comes the fourth inning. Yeah, fourth inning was fun again. Aided with a couple of errors from first baseman, Michael Toglia, which is a weird name to say. But overall, I mean, offense just absolutely hummed. A couple of hits in there for Andy Pa has a couple hits for Will Smith.

Everybody but Freddie Freeman had a base hit in this ball game. The man gets a pass. The man gets a pass. No, he's, he is a very unhappy man right now. But I want to point out one thing. Well, let's see, two things. Mookie needed this, got his first multi-hit name since June 7th. This is a guy where when we talked yesterday, we spoke yesterday on this show.

I was like, we already said it. We need a breakout. We need Mookie to figure it out. We need Teo to figure something out, had a couple of knocks, and we need Freddie Freeman. Like you said, so far we're betting two for three in the series and getting these guys going a little bit, just getting some confidence rolling, but also how about Shohay Otani, Lauren the boom in this one. I love this one. Check this out. I want you to tell people, because I don't want to read anymore. Clearly, that's not my strong suit.

No, I love, first of all, I do love this stat. I love Sarah Lang's slings on sports. We appreciate her a lot. But most home runs out of the lead-off spot in the team's first 80 games, Shoh-hame. I mean, I'm not, nothing surprises me with this man. I'm just blessed. We are blessed that he's on our team. But look at how long it's been. I mean, a long, long, dang time, 29 years, 20, yeah, 29 years since it's, I mean, he bested Brady Anderson, who had 26 back in 1996.

And then, of course, 2004, Gunner Henderson, and then 2017, George Springer. But, I mean, to top Brady Anderson on that list is impressive. I mean, obviously, Shohei is just impressive. But 27th on the season tops in the National League, I mean, Cal Raleigh, I mean, somebody's got to stop that man. He's leading the league in home runs. I mean, obviously in the category of MVP for the American League, even more perhaps than Aaron Judge.

We'll see. I mean, even more impressive than doing it as a kicker. Yeah, big dumper doing it as a catcher. At Team Mobile is impressive. For sure, for sure. I mean, he deserves a lot of praise the big dumper does. But Shoah is amazing. Most ever for a lead up batter.

We just saw that. I mean, you say that you could have saw it at course coming. of course, 12 home runs, 31 RBI in 29 career games at Colorado. But this is an interesting stat that you bring up, Clint Optus stats, has this to say. Over his last 12 games against the Rock Show, Shohei Otani has had 25 hits, eight stolen bases. I don't think he's going to be stealing a ton this year because he's pitching again and seven home runs. It's the only time in the modern era, which I believe is since 1900, right,

that a player has reached those three marks in a 12-game span against a single opponent. Now it's pretty impressive. Now it's 26 hits and eight homers. Yeah, dude's pretty good at baseball. Show is fun. Show is good for baseball. Andy Pahez is fun. Andy Pahez is good for baseball.

three 30 over that stretch it's it's insane and it's one of the things i've talked about a little bit on my show and i think we've mentioned a little bit here as well is like it's felt like a while since the day this is no no indictment on the team but it's felt like a while since the team has hit on a position player like somebody they signed or drafted like and and actually brought up through the minor leagues i mean the last guy really uh will smith you could say that was 2019 but it's been sort of barren since then until andy pares he is looking like the real deal position player wise position player wise okay we just had we just had a conversation the other day about how we were winning with homegrown talent because everyone's like oh we buy we buy the championships we

buy the set and the other thing. But yeah, you're right. I mean, it's been, it's been a minute since we had a position player kind of step up. And I agree with you. It's fine. Again, it takes, it takes all kinds. It takes the farm system. It takes, uh, trades. It takes free agency. It takes all the things. But Andy Pahas, I'm sorry. I apologize. My bad.
