Have you or a family member been diagnosed with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer that can be removed by surgery?
Consider talking to an oncologist about your treatment options.
Why?
Because knowing your options before you have surgery can help your care team develop a treatment plan that's right for you.

My reason why you don't move him down in the lineup,
Muky's still gonna put pressure himself.
As an athlete, it's not about the pressure
that the fans or the media or the coaches put on you.
It's the pressure you put on yourself.
A new week, a new Dodgers territory.

We're going to get Adrian Gonzalez one of these hats because Agonne, Clint Paseas, is joining the show momentarily.
Big guest today.
Dodgers legend, Adrian Gonzalez.
That was a fun run that he had, and I'm looking forward to talking to him about this team.
And a lot of it.
of Mooky Bets we're going to have to talk about today, Riz. Yeah, we are. Let's get to it in a big
ticket. And I hate this for our boy, Mookiee, right? I mean, Mookiee obviously is an MVP. Some would
say he was on the trajectory of a Hall of Fame career. Perhaps he still will do that.
And time will tell he's certainly not done yet. But I have to say, Clint, the Dodgers take the
series two to one. But the natives are restless Clint Paseas with Mookiee bets, as they should be,
right. As a fan, you have that right to be fanatical. You have that right to demand production from your players, especially the high ticket players. And for whatever reason, Mookie is just not getting it done. Is it the swing? Is it bad habits? What is it in your estimation?
A little bit in that Noggin as well. I think it's check all the boxes. Everything that can go wrong with Mookie this season seems to be kind of going wrong up to it, including starting the season, feeling ill. And he has been, you know, yet to be able to kind of get his way out of.
it hit his way out of it.
Let's talk about the series for just a second because obviously it's the first series
post-trade deadline and the Dodgers are 2-1, which like you said, they win the series.
That's good.
That's what you want to do, win series on the road.
The pitching for this team has been really, really effing good.
Over the last 30 days, they have a team ERA of 3.54, which is sixth in MLB.
I wrote these stats down here, which is why I'm looking down.
over the last 15 days, 303 ERA, third in baseball.
So one of the things we talked about, obviously over the weekend, they get Blake Snell back,
Yoshinobu Yamamoto has another stellar outing mixed in there, and things are just coming
together for that pitching staff.
Another thing that's very important for this team, Freddie Freeman is hitting again.
He's hitting a baseball.
He's using the entire field.
So if Mookiee was hitting, we'd have ourselves one hell of a lineup.
But, yeah, before we touch more on the Mookiee, what'd you like from the Wookiee?
what'd you like from the weekend well i liked a couple of things about the weekend uh welcome back
blake snell had a really good outing did not win that game but it was not because of blake snail
yoshinovo yamamoto some more scoreless stuff from your sye young award winner your si young
award nominee rather uh tyler glasnow i love you love you so much i love the i love the flow
i love the fact that you and your beautiful wife yes he got married uh you and your beautiful
wife adopted a pup thank you thank you but what i love about glass is that he is shoving and
He's healthy, and I love that so much.
Yes, I love the pitching over the course of the weekend.
Freddie Freeman looked like he needed a massive amount of water at Halsteinbrenner Field in Tampa Bay.
My God, July in Tampa with no roof.
Tropicana Field cannot get built fast enough for the new field or wherever the heck they're going to be playing.
But yes, it looks like he unlocked something in his swing, Clint.
And he had said that he felt like he was getting close.
I think the series against the Tampa Bay Rays showed that if he's not close,
he's very, very, if he's not there, he's very, very close.
Yeah, that's one of the things you know when it comes to Freddie Freeman.
When he starts using the entire field, that's when you could feel pretty confident.
Obviously, he doesn't want to say anything about like, I'm feeling pretty good in the box
because every time any Dodger has said, I feel good.
It hasn't worked out for them.
But I feel pretty confident in saying that that was my pick to click for that series,
Freddie Freeman.
So I wanted to make sure I brought that up that I was right and everybody else was wrong.
But anybody who picked.
This is Clint.
I deserve it.
You know, listen.
I have myself an easy week, too.
We got DT today with Agon.
We got DT tomorrow post game.
Tough day for you.
Then I'm going to be gone for a few days on vacation.
Yeah, you deserve it.
You're going camping.
I know that you're renting a pontoon.
You might drink a couple of adult beverages.
Good for you.
Just don't drink too many and drown.
We need you back on Monday for dogs.
Dodgers territory. But yeah, let's talk about Mookie Betts. Again, we're going to talk to
Adrian Gonzalez coming up here on Dodgers territory. Love to have Agon on the show. And we're
going to kind of get in his head. I mean, what do you think, what he thinks perhaps is going on with
Mookie. But Mookie, um, Mookie needs a vacation. You can tell that he, oh my goodness, I thought the
All-Star break was going to be it. But this is what he had to say. And this kind of just breaks
my heart, right? I've done everything possible. I'm hitting all day. I'm hitting after games
in the cage early. I really don't know what else to do. I don't have any answer.
I mean, the move to the lead-off was obviously not the solution.
It's just kind of the same results.
Again, I'm out of answers.
I've done everything I can possibly do.
It's up to God at this point.
And that is from our friend Bill Plunkett does a great job covering the Los Angeles Dodgers for the OC Register.
Holy moly.
I mean, that just sounds like a guy that's lost any amount of confidence that he had at the plate.
Yeah.
The numbers, you look at the numbers here.
all career lows.
He's having a hard time finding the barrel of the baseball bat.
The exit Velo is down.
Hard hit is down.
When you hear him saying that,
and it's really tough to kind of watch Mookie go through this,
when you hear him saying that,
you see him saying that kind of stuff.
He sounds like a broken man.
He sounds like a lost soul right now.
Does Mooky Betts.
I don't think he's ever struggled for this,
long of a stretch while being a baseball player, let alone at the big league level.
Of course, this is a perennial MVP candidate.
And the confidence, understandably, is in the toilet right now.
You feel bad.
You feel really, really bad for Mookie.
And you wonder, what can change it?
Is it rest?
Is it changing a spot in the lead off out of the second, you know, move him down to the lineup,
getting a different baseball bat, give him a fungo bat during a game, something lighter and longer?
I don't know.
I'm very interested in hearing.
what Agon has to say about it.
He'll be joining us momentarily in a couple minutes.
But what do you think about that, Riz?
Like kind of moving mooky down in the lineup that Dodgers do get Maxwell Muncie back.
Get that silver hammer back.
I love that.
I mean, Maxwell Munti is supposed to be back in the lineup today.
Hopefully, my God, welcome back months because we have desperately needed that presence in the
lineup in the middle of the order.
We've talked about this at length, nauseam, right?
Just how he solidifies the order makes everyone go to where they're supposed to be.
But let's talk about that leadoff spot versus the two hole.
First of all, I think there is almost an equal amount of pressure in the two-hole as there is in the lead-off spot.
You may get one extra at-bat in the lead-off spot.
I understand that, but you're still really called upon to set the table, right?
And I think with Mookie right now, the amount of pressure that he has, and perhaps he feels the weight of the world is on him,
especially when Muncie wasn't in there, when Freddie wasn't exactly right.
Tommy Edmund seems like he's heading to the IL again because of another ankle issue, kind of rounding first base the other day.
You know, I think Mookie, because he's not going well, is putting additional pressure on himself.
And I don't want to hear it anymore about the freaking defensive change, you know, right field, shortstop.
This has nothing to do with that, guys.
So let's put that one to rest.
And again, I'm really interested in Adrian's perspective on this.
But I think if you move Mookie out of the top part of the order and certainly not in the middle part of the order, put him in the five or six whole.
Put him in the seven hole for, I don't care.
I don't care.
I mean, just not, not maybe not night, but put him seventh or eighth, you know, put him seventh or eighth just to kind of take some of that pressure off him.
He'll still be called upon to drive and runs, but he doesn't have to have that tall of an order.
Try to get him, let's get some knocks first, right?
Like, let's just get on base, right?
One hit at a time, baby.
One hit at a time, you know, whether it's allowed out or hit him where they ain't or whatever it is.
Let's start building up that confidence again because we know that the talent is there.
And I want to be very clear.
This is nothing to do with effort.
I really believe that.
This is just the results are not there for an extended period of time.
And when it's mooky bets, people notice.
Absolutely.
Again, very interested in hearing what Adrian Gonzalez has to say.
He is ready to go.
So we're going to throw it to a quick break.
And then we will be back with Agon.
It's summertime.
It's bathing suit time.
And it's time to get a better bathing suit liner.
It's 2025, Kratz.
I would like to feel more comfortable.
And I would like to think Fair Harbor for doing that.
It's super easy.

Hello, hello. I'm Malcolm Gladwell, host of Smart Talks with IBM.
I recently spoke with IBM's new director of research, Jake Embatta.
We discussed his vision for the future.
of quantum computing. At IBM research, what we always do is answer what is the future of computing,
whether it's coming up with new algorithms, coming up with better AI, coming up with quantum,
or coming up with just how do different accelerators go together. It's our DNA to answer the question
of what is the future. Isn't it a perfect problem for IBM because you kind of need to have a legacy
of building stuff? Yes. Building actual physical machines. Yeah, it's why I,
came to IBM. I wanted the experience, the culture of building hard things that others have not done
before. Where do you imagine we are in the timeline of this technology? There will come a point
when it will mature. My cell phone is a mature technology at this point. How far are we from that
point with Conton? By 2029, we'll build the first fault-tolerant quantum computer. That is one that can
run a very, very large, large problem.
To learn how IBM is building the future of computing, visit IBM.com slash quantum.
It is always a pleasure to be joined by El Titan, Adrian Gonzalez, joining us now on Dodgers territory.
Agon, great to be with you.
Thank you for taking the time.
I appreciate it very much.
We're going to get into all of your different restaurant endeavors, but I want your
opinion, Adrian, on what you sense is going on with your friend.
Mookie Betz, it must be a difficult time for him as a hitter knowing he's an MVP type of candidate, obviously.
You've had some unbelievable seasons in your own right.
What do you think is going on with him right now?
You know, honestly, my opinion is that obviously he went through a health issue prior to the season,
lost a ton of weight, and now, you know, trying to recover from that, the power isn't quite there.
And I think that initially was the reason why his struggle started.
He probably hit some balls that he might have thought were home runs or were going to fall in the gap over the outfielders and they were caught.
That creates a wanting to do too much.
That creates some bad habits trying to hit the ball harder.
Having played in Petco Park back in the day when the fences were still further back before they moved them in three times, you see this, you saw this from a lot of hitters where they come in.
their normal contact wasn't good enough.
They tried more than created bad habits and then could not just,
they couldn't come out of those bad habits until they realized, hey, baseball is about hitting
line drives and singles.
It's not about hitting for power.
So I think it has had that trend for him.
And right now he's in that mental place where mechanically he's just not there and he hasn't been
able to figure it out.
But I think he will hit a point within the next.
couple weeks where he's going to go back to, hey, let me just focus on hitting line drives up
the middle of the other way. The power will come when I run into something. And at that point,
he will have a really good back in the last six weeks of the season. And he's going to have a
great playoff run. You know, Adrian, I kind of wonder, I think back to a number of years ago,
you in a Dodger uniform, and you kind of felt yourself in a little bit of a slump, kind of needed
that mental reset. You know, you asked your manager, hey, give me three games.
off. Let me just kind of get my brain
back in order and you come back to the
lineup and you start doing damage. What does
that do for a player and could this be
a situation where a
longer mini reset
for Muki could help him out?
From my perspective, you know, when I asked
for those days off, because I physically wasn't right.
My back was hurting me.
My back had started to lock up and so
I needed the physical break
to get back to help
because playing every day is a crime.
I mean, you don't recover from those minor little things.
I don't think days off right now is the answer.
I personally don't think moving down on the lineup is the answer for him
because what he's going through mentally has nothing to do with where he's hitting in the lineup.
It has nothing to do.
It just has to do with the mindset of, hey, I'm going to get my foot down early.
I'm going to hit the ball on the line up the middle the other way.
And I'm going to react to anything in.
But the main thing for him has to be timing because he seems that he's in between right now.
He's trying to make sure he gets the right pitch to hit.
And when you're in between, when you're not focused on what pitch you want to hit,
you end up being late in the fastball early on off speed.
And that's what we're seeing.
We're seeing him be late underneath fastballs and pop them up.
And we're seeing him be out in front of sliders and breaking pitches and hitting him on the ground.
And that's all on the fact that he's in between.
He's laid on the fastball, which makes him pull off and hit it up in the air.
And then he's out in front of the slider and gets to the bathead,
gets out in front of him a little bit.
he hooks it on the ground, you know, to the left side. So it's all about timing for him.
It's all about just focusing on, hey, I'm going to look for a fastball middle away.
I'm not going to try to drive the ball. I'm not going to try this launch angle thing that or this,
you know, I don't know, what they're doing nowadays. He needs to focus on line drives up to the other way.
Adrian, that shows you what I know because I said, yeah, move him down in the lineup.
It'll take some pressure off of him, but you obviously playing in the big leagues as long as you did know way more than I do.
So maybe moving him down isn't the answer.
Is there a difference in your opinion of batting leadoff versus batting in the two-hole?
Because they have flip-flopped a little bit with that.
What's your take on that situation?
Back in the day, yes, there was.
Big difference.
You know, lead off, you're taking a few pitches early, trying to get on base.
Second hitter, his job was to move him over.
Nowadays, they all just try to do their thing.
So nowadays, I would say there's no difference in lead-off, second-hitter.
my my reason why you don't move him down in the lineup and I don't think that's the answer is because
Mookie is still going to put pressure on itself you know as as an athlete you're it's not about
the pressure that the fans or the media or the coaches put on you it's the pressure you put on
yourself to to be the greatest you can be and that's not going to go away whether he's
hitting one two or eight right and so
So when that big game comes, you want him hitting in the first or second spot because of who he is.
And you don't want it coming from the seventh spot or six spot or eight spot or whatever.
So Muki being the great player that he is, you want to let him know that you have full confidence in that he's going to break out of this.
You're not, you know, you're not going to agree to move him down in the lineup.
You know, because if he's mentally struggling, that's only going to add to it, in my opinion.
So for me, it's keeping the one-two spot wherever you think he fits best.
And then let him go from there.
I personally like Mookie in the Lido spot because of, you know, what he brings at the lead-off spot.
The show-hays obviously, you know, I've done an incredible job as well.
So I just prefer to have Shoh-Houh with Mookie on base rather than show-he with not-bri-on-base.
But, you know, for me, it's all about just, hey, we don't need you to try to drive the ball.
We don't need, we just need you to focus on hitting singles.
We don't even focus, like I wouldn't even want them to focus on walking.
I want him to hit line drives rockets.
And if he walks, it's because the pitcher didn't throw him, you know,
he threw him four balls before he threw him a pitch and wanted to hit.
It's not because he's up there looking for a walk or looking for the right pitch to hit.
He should be ready to hit, ready to be aggressive and ready to attack.
Find some grass.
We know he does love swinging early at the moment right now.
Hopefully he finds something soon because this lineup is going to be a lot better with Mookiee hitting.
That said, the lineup has been pretty good.
The pitching has been very good over the last month or so.
What's your overall assessment of this team as we get into, as they call them, the dog days of summer?
I really love the fact that the starters are getting healthy, which is going to help the bullpen.
The bullpen has been taxed because of all the injuries.
But now that you have the big four, actually the big five, but obviously Chohei hasn't been fully extended out.
But if you have the big four with, you know, you have Yamamoto, who pitched incredible yesterday,
then you have Glass Now, Arsnell, Glass Now, and Kirshah, and then you have Shohei, you know, getting to full distance, you know, getting to full pitch count.
You have five guys that can easily give you five to eight endings any time out, which shortens the bullpen,
and they don't have to have these bullpen games that they've had so many, so, so often that puts them in a really, you know, tax and, you know, feeling out there.
So if you can shorten the games to four to three, you know, four innings at the most,
in the back end, the bullpen will be rested, they will be able to match up properly, and the bullpen
will also, you know, get better with that. So we put up a stat on sports end the other day,
where hitting is like second, third, and fourth in all categories and pitching is like 19th or 20th
and both starters to relievers. I really feel that with the starters being back now, both the starters
year-ray and the bullpen area-ray will continue to go down. And, you know, hitting has been carried
by the home rents. I really would like to see more of a team, you know, cumulative walk,
get guys on base, you know, each, every guy produces a runner too. And then that's so dependent on the
home rents. Adrian, I think that's what the Dodgers are counting on, you what you were talking
about, the health of the starting staff. They got Blake Snell back this week. And obviously,
Tyler Glass now is back. We're waiting to see what happens with Roki Sasaki. But, you know,
Yamamoto looks good as well. Dustin May is now a member of the Boston Red Sox. But what is it,
in your opinion, because it seems like if you looked around the division, Adrian, that the rest
of the teams added. The Dodgers felt that they had enough going into the deadline and they're
kind of counting on health. What do you make of that decision? I agree. You know, we had that
conversation again on the pregame and I said, the Dodgers don't need to anybody. They just need to
add health because they have all the pieces already. For me, everybody talked about a back-end bullpen
piece for the playoffs. For me, personally, I think that Shohay should be.
if not the closer, you know, the eighth or ninth inning guy in the playoffs.
If he's not going to be fully extended and they don't want to really push him, you know,
to that nine innings or, you know, be able to throw a complete game,
I would have him available to close out games at any moment in the playoffs because he is that arm,
he is that back in reliever that everybody was hoping for, that elite closer.
And that pushes everybody down a slot, which makes, you know, the Tanner Scott and Blake Trine
and incredible seventh, eighth inning guys.
And then you still have your solid three with Yamamoto Glass now and Snell.
And you have Kirchow there in the seven game series when you need that fourth starters.
So, you know, for me personally, you already have your three elite starters at the top end.
And where do you fit in Kirshaw if Shohay's starting?
Where do you fit in Shohay if Kershaw starting as a fourth?
Because you don't need five guys in the playoffs.
And for me, Shohay is that he's shown it to do, he's done it in the WBC and the,
the past and he was great at it so why not just follow that the equation there you know the um the dodgers
obviously very good they have a lot of talent uh the podres a team you were very familiar with didn't have
feel they had as much talent um heading into that trade deadline and we know a j preller loves uh moving
some prospects for some some players and that team got very good currently sitting three games behind
the dodgers and the nOS what are your thoughts about the moves the podres made and uh does it make them
honest true world series contenders this season?
You know, I think Mason Miller is a great reliever.
Outside of that, you know, the hitters are, you know,
I didn't see a ton of addition with the hitters that they added.
You know, I don't see them as elite hitters that are going to make a difference.
I mean, yeah, they're going to come up and get some hits here and there.
They're great major league players, but they're not that difference maker,
you know, that anybody can sit there and say, hey, that guy is going to make a difference.
You know, when it comes October, you don't know who's going to step up.
You don't know who's going to make a difference, you know.
So in my opinion, you know, they didn't do much offensively.
They added names, they had players, you know, good at Major League players.
I felt like they had a good lineup already.
So Mason Miller is a great reliever.
They've been their both been the best in baseball all season.
You know, that kind of stuff, again, come October, everybody changes.
So I still think they're one of the, you know, top five teams, top 16s in the National League.
I don't know if they made that huge impact to say that, you know, oh, my gosh, now they're the frontrunners at any moment.
I feel like the Phillies adding Durand was a way better requisition.
I feel like the Mets adding a couple of players was in par with what the Padres did.
So you still have the same teams that are all going to kind of put themselves in positions in the playoffs
and see who plays the best baseball, you know, come those games.
because we know that all those teams are capable of winning a World Series.
It just comes down to who's playing the best in October.
And last year, I really thought the Padres had the best team that it was set up for the playoffs,
and the Dodgers were the better team for that series, and they won.
And then they were the better team for the Yankee series,
and they were, you know, because they were playing the best.
And so this year, going into the season, I told everybody, hey, the Dodgers are going to repeat
because of the players they have and the talent they have and everything they've done,
way they were able to put it together last year. So I still feel super confident in the fact that
they're the team to be and that if they do what they're supposed to do, they're going to repeat.
I love your opinions and I love that you're not afraid to express them. And this, I want to ask you
and some folks in our chat are wondering this as well, Adrian. I know that you're incredibly
busy. I know Betsy's incredibly busy with her business. You have two young girls that are growing up
way too fast, by the way. I remember when they were itty-bitty and now I feel like they're going to be
driving soon. Would you ever want to be a hitting coach or a manager? Because I love, I love your
style, the way you go about it, and obviously the knowledge is there. Does that ever enter your mind?
You know, it's, it doesn't enter my mind, but like you said, my girls right now are 13 and 11,
and, you know, being a coach, a manager is a full-time job that you basically get away from your
family. And so I would say give him seven years. So Alessandra is a
on our way to college and then I will consider it for the time being. I love, you know,
doing the broadcast with the Dodgers, doing the pre-impost game, and having the time to be able
to open up, you know, businesses like I am with sliceria, Trezos, and everything else I got
going on. You know, that's the important one. We see the hat. I know you've got to be there now.
It feels like you're right there right now at the pizza spot. Sliceria, sliceria, however you want to
say it, it looks good.
great. I've seen it on the social media.
Tell the people about what you got going on with that.
And more importantly, how soon I can get out there.
I am local to L.A. How soon I can get out there, maybe do a live show,
get some pie in me and all that kind of stuff.
What's going on with that?
You're more than welcome to come anytime and do a live show from Sliceria.
We are open 11 to 9 every day.
Sliceria is a place where you can come get some great pizza quality ingredients
that are really, really affordable value.
We do, you know, in store here, we do the two-combo meal,
which is two slices and a drink for $9.99.
I mean, you can't beat that deal right there.
You know, here in the store, we focus on pizzas by the slice.
When it comes to delivery, we focus on the full pies.
And, you know, we're just a great pizza.
We're not a style.
We're not a style to our pizza.
We're just great pizza.
And at a great affordable price.
So, and then we have 3 Dos 3 coming up soon, like in 3 weeks we will open.
That will be a build your own plate, much like the pepper brand that everybody knows about.
And, you know, we're excited to open that in a few weeks.
All right.
Tell me more about 3-2-3.
I'm assuming that's because of the area code.
I mean, is that why you named it 3-2-3?
I mean, I know you were 23 with the Dodgers, but tell me where the name comes from.
So there's many, many reasons why 3-2-3.
It's three of us that, you know, created this concept for number 23.
You know, the area code 3 Los 3 fits well with L.A.
Obviously, we have the combination of salsas that we're going to provide us three mild,
two medium, three spicy.
All right. I love that.
There's more than 323 ways to build your own plate, bowl, tacos, burrito,
or whatever it is that you want to do.
So there's a lot of meaning behind 3-2-3, not just one.
That's awesome. I tell you what, and Clint is serious, Adrian, about getting out there and doing a live show, pumping both your pizzeria as well as stress to stress.
We appreciate you very much for taking the time. I know you're a busy man. My love to Betsy and the girls, thank you for your perspective on this team.
It's always interesting to kind of pick your brain, a man that did it at a high level for a very long time. Thanks for being with us.
I appreciate you too. Thank you so much for having me.
And yeah, anytime. Anytime you're more than welcome to come here and please let me know.
whenever you want me to jump back on and talk more, more, you know, Dodgers and baseball all around.
All right.
We will definitely have you back on and Clint will be there tomorrow.
No, I'll have him reach out and I'll have him reach out to host away and figure that out.
We'd love to be able to pump your business.
Absolutely.
Awesome.
Thank you guys.
All right.
Thanks, Aidan.
All right, Clint, I'm assuming we need to take a quick break on draft games.

Hello, hello. I'm Malcolm Gladwell, host of Smart Talks with IBM.
I recently spoke with IBM's new director of research, Jake Mbata.
We discussed his vision for the future of quantum computing.
At IBM research, what we always do is answer what is the future of computing,
whether it's coming up with new algorithms, coming up with better AI, coming up with quantum,
or coming up with just how do different accelerators go together.
It's our DNA to answer the question of what is the future.
Isn't it a perfect problem for IBM because you kind of need to have a legacy of building stuff?
Yes.
Building actual physical machines.
Yeah, it's why I came to IBM.
I wanted the experience, the culture of building hard things that others have not done before.
Where do you imagine we are in the time?
timeline of this technology. There will come a point when it will mature. Right? Yeah. My cell phone
is a mature technology at this point. How far are we from that point with quantum? By 2029, we'll build
the first fault-tolerant quantum computer. That is one that can run a very, very large, large problem.
To learn how IBM is building the future of computing, visit IBM.com slash quantum. All right, guys, I would
like to introduce you to Baxter. Baxter was at the Downey Shelter in Los Angeles, about to be
euthanized again because of space. Stop me if you've heard this before. Baxter is a great, great,
sweet boy. He's about a one-year-old Malin-wa mix. I highly recommend you do your research.
Malin-waws are very much like German Shepherds, but they are high energy, incredibly smart.
Need mental and physical stimulation. They need a job. They're very, very intelligent.
If they don't work, they get destructive.
So please, an active family that's willing to work him out is best.
We're looking for an adopter.
He's being fostered right now in Thousand Oaks, California.
If you're interested in learning more about Baxter,
please reach out at Guidry's Guardian
or hit me up on my socials as well.
All right, Clint, what is your baseball thought for the road?
But prior to that, we're doing post game.
You and I are tomorrow.
What's coming up, though, first on all Dodgers.
We'll come to see us.
Hey, hey, you know, it's so good.
Let's do it twice.
We will be live tonight for post game.
I'll probably be there because I feel like I should be a part of my channel.
So Tube in all Dodgers, myself, Jeff Snyder, probably Kevin Skinner.
We'll be talking about whatever we just saw and hopefully talking about like a four hit game for Mooky Betts.
Oh, that would be nice.
That would be something.
But there was something for our baseball thought of the road.
I figured we needed to talk about for just a second.
Some folks probably saw it on the internet already.
but the Giants have released old pal Austin Barnes.
Of course, he signed there in a minor league deal a couple weeks back.
And, you know, it sucks for Barnsey,
but it's good to not have him in a giant uniform anymore.
But I guess the point of this is if it's, if this is it.
I would rather he have a job, though.
You know what I mean?
I'd rather if he still wants to play,
I would rather that he have a job,
albeit with the Giants or the Padres or anybody in the division.
But to your point, if this is it,
I'm very proud of what Austin Barnes has accomplished in his career.
He never was a flashy player, never was a star player, but he has caught some unbelievable outs for this team over the course of the regular season.
And he may have started a lot of seasons as the backup, but I tell you what, he had a lot of postseason experience.
Because one thing about Austin Barnes, Sam, if you're nasty, is players trusted him and pitchers trusted him.
And if this is in fact it for him, congratulations on one hell of a year.
fully vested over 10 years of service time.
His beautiful wife, Nicole, they're expecting their second baby.
I believe they're having a girl, so Royce will have a little sister.
It's a good time for him to hang him up and go be dad for a little bit.
And then we'll see him, probably back in a Dodger uniform next year as some sort of coach where he belongs.
I don't know.
I don't know if the real AB, as Jerry calls him, if the real AB is wanting to coach.
I'm not sure.
We'll see.
But Austin, if it is it, congratulations.
Proud of you always.
And best of luck to Unipole and the baby.
Two-time World Series champion.
Dodgers don't win that.
They don't win that World Series in 20 without Austin.
No chance.
No chance.
Hey, a quick one.
Jose had this in the comments here.
Standing ovation for Mookie tonight.
I'm starting to see a little bit of traction on social media about people trying to give
Mookie the standing O.
give them the Tray Turner treatment.
Do you think that does anything?
I love that.
I love that.
I mean, I do.
I think that that knowing that your fan base, I mean, say what you want to say about these guys.
I understand they're multi-gazillionaires, but they still have emotions and they still have feelings.
And if you know that your fan base is supporting you, if they're supporting you and they believe in you, that's, that's, I mean, it can't hurt, right?
No.
Cannot hurt them at all.
He'll be hitting fifth tonight.
This is my predictions.
Hitting fifth tonight.
going to get a big ass standing ovation in the second ending first inning if the dodgers
decide to go out and uh put some points on the board in that first inning which people are
going to happen if i was there if i was there i would stand up for mookie but whatever you do
don't throw your hands in the air like you don't care because i don't believe in the wave in baseball
okay so please don't do it all right uh don't forget you guys dodgers territory shop is open
get all this stuff you know i'm cool don't act like i'm not don't act like i'm not hit um join
Clint and I tomorrow we are doing Dodgers post game. So please join us for that. We appreciate you
guys very much. Thank you so much for watching. We appreciate it. Bring a friend. Smash that like
button. Appreciate you guys as always being a part of the show, right, wrong or indifferent. We love you guys.
