I mean, the numbers that he's putting up, Clint, they are video game numbers.
Starting point is 00:01:42 And you might even say that he is kind of a frontrunner in the MVP race. Hello, everybody, and welcome to this Thursday live edition of Dodgers Territory. We are your host. I'm Alonar Rizzo. That is Clint Paseas. We are always happy. to have you here on Dodgers territory. It's great to be back on this Thursday. Always a lot to talk about. First week of the season is in the books, Clint,
Starting point is 00:02:12 and I am running out of adjectives to describe what Mookie Betts is doing at the plate. Yeah, he's pretty good at baseball, huh? It's definitely hard to come up with new and exciting words when we're talking about Mookie Betts, but how about maybe 2024 National League MVP? You know, you're not that far up. I mean, he's having an MVP type of season, albeit a small sample size, but I think he might be well on his way to his second MVP. Remember the 2018 season was the first time he had it. He could very well get it again.
Starting point is 00:02:46 I mean, the numbers that he's putting up, Clint, they are video game numbers. And you might even say that he is kind of a front runner in the MVP race. If you take a look at the odds brought to you by BetMGM. We love those guys. Look at where Mookiee Bet sits. He's not that far off as far as the pace is concerned. for these MVP odds. I want to get to this really quick. We'll get Ronald Cunia Jr. at plus 450,
Starting point is 00:03:09 but Mookie Betz is right there at plus 500. That's pretty damn good. I will say that that's coming from sources. Mookie right there, learning a new position on the fly. The bat is on fire. I don't know if he's upset about the National League Division series. Dodgers getting swept,
Starting point is 00:03:29 him essentially going over the series. Or not essentially. He did go over the series. or if he's just so happy playing shortstop playing a new position and and everything else is coming together. He's not worried about the bat. He's worried about something else. And the bat's just, as Dave Roberts said, he's having fun. And Dodgers fans are having fun watching this dude go off.
Starting point is 00:03:49 And again, you look at the top three in the Dodgers order with Mookie Betts, of course, Shohei Otani, Freddie Freeman. He's going to get pitches to hit because you're not going to want to walk him to get to Shohei. You're not going to want to walk Shohei to get to Freddie. I mean, that's such great protection in the lineup for all of these guys that he's kind of in a wonderful position there in the leadoff spot. And again, he may not be the only one on this team, Clint, that could be in the running for MVP. Yeah, you're going to have, once again, Freddie Freeman was in that MVP conversation last year. Now you add 2023 American League MVP showy Otani to the lineup.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Max Muncie might get some votes in there to ask Hernandez might get some votes in their health, throwing some Yoshinobu Yamam. Motto if he can do the things you kind of hope and expect that of him. You do wonder, is the in-house or the in-house guys going to take away some of those votes from Muky Betts? Personally, I don't think so. Matt Olson didn't take away very many votes from Ronald DeCunia Jr. Last year, he won at the National League. But that's my thought.
Starting point is 00:04:51 What do you think? I think you're right. I do worry a little bit, though, about the cannibalization of guys taking away votes. We know the Freddie Freeman's. And it can happen in Atlanta, too. We saw it last year with Matt Olson, of course, and Ronald Acuna Jr. But there is a thought, perhaps, that Freddie Freeman or Shohei Otani or whatever could take votes away from Mookie Betts. But the way that Mookie has started this season, I mean, look at the numbers already, nine for 42.
Starting point is 00:05:15 He's hitting 485 with an on base of 595. I mean, those are just stupid numbers. So if he, I granted, he's on pace for 101 home runs. I don't think he's going to get there. But right now he has five in his first nine games. I mean, that's insanity right there. So whatever he's doing, it's working. And I'm even throwing out the two games that they played in Seoul because of all of the,
Starting point is 00:05:36 you know, they split the series, but, you know, the difference in schedule and routine and all of those things. But Mookie Betts is on some kind of terror. And how this man, Clint Passeas was not voted. The National League player of the week is beyond me. No disrespect to lude this Gouriel of the Diamondbacks. But come on, man. You know, I will give Gouriel.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I mean, Gouriel had an insane week himself, two of show, of, Muki's games were a week before in Korea, so maybe you give it a little wash there. This one I won't be a homer on, but Mookie will get some love down the road. I don't think this is going to be the only opportunity Mookie has to win a National League player of the week. Back on the MVP thing real quick, I just want to throw this out here. I feel very confident in saying that the National League MVP winner will either be a Dodger or a Brave this year. I want somebody to hold me to that at the end of the season if it ends up being some rando dude, but you feel pretty good in saying that. Oh, yeah, you're looking at the board
Starting point is 00:06:38 that we just saw there as far as the MVP odds were from Bed MGM. And the only other person on the list that wasn't a Dodger or a brave was Fernando Titus Jr. And I don't think that's going to go to him because I find it very hard to give a MVP award to a player that's on a team that's not even in the postseason. And I don't think the Padres make the postseason. I agree. I agree the Padres don't make it. Hold on slowing it down here. There's a lot to talk about. This is an exciting day for baseball, and it's the first off day for the Dodgers.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I'm excited to see a road trip for this Dodgers team going to Chicago. But it gives a hat tip a little bit. You missed one. Bryce Harper was on that list as well? Oh, was Harper on there for Phillies? My bad. I love Harper, too. Dang, how could I miss him?
Starting point is 00:07:20 I love him. You know, maybe love is blind. I don't know here. But still, it's going to be a Dodger. It's going to be a brave getting your MVP votes. And let's talk about the other potential Dodger MVP. Shohei Otani finally got off the Schneide, if you want to call it that. Well, you said the other day that he better start earning his two milly.
Starting point is 00:07:40 We understand he's a $700 million man, but all of the deferrals, a very contract for player-friendly, rather team-friendly contract for Shohei, because he's getting 700 million, but only 2 million until, I don't know what, 2006, or whatever the heck it is that they deferred the contract to. But Dave Roberts had a conversation with Shohei, kind of pulled him into his office. office and said, hey, man, you're Shohei Otani. You can do this. I mean, I'm paraphrasing here. I wasn't in the room. But Dave basically said, listen, just relax. Just be yourself. It's going to come to you. And sure enough, it did. And that's got to feel good. There's got to be a sense of relief there. We knew it was going to happen. It's good to get that one out of the way. He gave him the old genie from Aladdin.
Starting point is 00:08:19 He said, just be yourself. And it worked. Showing is very, very much looking to get that one, you know, get that first Homer in Dodger Blue on the books. both of us wearing Dodger blue today to make it right. We see Chris Frosaker saying the Otani effect is in effect. I'm so damn happy that he was able to get it in front of Dodgers fans before they go on this mini road trip. Dodgers fans excited. Somebody got that baseball. And fans are, I mean, it seems to be a little mixed on whether or not people wanted that fan to get more for what, for such an important home or what, do you think about the situation there with the fan only asking for, what was it, two caps,
Starting point is 00:09:06 a bat, and I don't know if he was an assigned ball. Do you get more? Well, I would think that it would be an autograph baseball. Here's my take on fans that catch home run balls are significant milestone balls in the crowd. I do not think that you should be allowed to hold an item hostage, a ball hostage, a bad hostage, whatever, or hold it for ransom and ask for the moon. I do, however, give this particular fan a whole heck of a lot of credit because he or she could have gotten a lot more than they did. Two baseball caps, a bat and a ball.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Even if it was signed by Shohei Otani, I just think they could have gotten a lot more, but I give them credit for not asking for it. What bothers me more than anything is there's a milestone hit 500th home run or, you know, your 1,500th hit or whatever it is in your career. And the fan is asking for your firstborn child, a car, plasma. I mean, all of these things. It's like, that's not your right. You don't how difficult it is to do what these guys do. You can get something, but be fair. Don't be a jerk about it. And I think this fan did the right thing.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Listen, Ashley Kelly, Joe Kelly's wife got a whole ass Porsche for giving up for it's because if you look behind you and you see Joe Kelly Bbblehead wear a number 17 in your little box behind you. That's why because he had to give up a whole number, not just, you know, and how and how she got a Porsche. My goodness. God bless her. So yes, this is. fan didn't get. Yeah, Craig Osterberg has a great point. Some tickets. That's cool. Why not? But do it in like the Lexus Dugout Club, not just some random tickets like as far as you can get. Lexus dugout club seats. That's what that fan should have gotten. I want a whole day, the whole Dodgers experience out of it. Maybe even if they really want to break the bank, throwing a few Michelotas, maybe some Dodgers dogs there,
Starting point is 00:10:52 Dodger dogs there. That's when you're really going to start to add up as we get Chris saying, I would have asked for a game use Jersey. Jersey would have been a nice addition there as well. But credit to the players don't even get to keep their jerseys. So if they want to have a jersey, I know this because Jack Peterson wanted to give his father-in-law a jersey, they had to buy it. Like they don't, the players don't just get to take, you know, bring their jerseys home and stuff. So that would have been a good one. And a car. Yeah, one eye dragon says end the car. I get it. I'm going, I'm going higher than a Porsche. So if I'm going to get a, if I'm going to go for it, I'm going to go for it.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Like I want like a Bentley or something. Maybe, you know, maybe you have to give up your number, I guess. I don't know how to do that, but I'm not, I'm not settling for just, you know, a signed ball and all that. I don't know what else I can get. I don't want to feel like a dick about it. But just felt you can get a little bit more. I like the idea of the dugout club.
Starting point is 00:11:46 That's good. A couple of games there. Have you eaten down there? I have, but not for a game. It is fan flipping-tastic. Fantastic. The Dodgers do it right. By the way, and they actually have a drink at the bar called a riserita.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Go ask the bartender, Brad, for a riserita. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. No matter what kind of car you drive, two things are always true. All tires eventually need replacing and all vehicles need servicing. Luckily for you, Big O tires is an expert in both. They have all the name brand tires you trust for any vehicle on any road condition. They'll keep your vehicle running smooth with expert services on things like alignments, shocks, struts, batteries, brakes, and more. Get into your locally owned Big O Tires, the team you trust.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Hey, it's Carissa Thompson. Everything these days is fighting for your attention, work, family, social media, and it makes it tough to figure out what should really come first. But here's something that absolutely deserves to be at the top of your list, your breast health. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer and the second least. cause of cancer death among women in the United States, and the rates are still rising. More women under 50 are being diagnosed too. But here's a stat that really hits home. One in two women who qualify for annual breast screenings aren't getting them. That's half. And yet, when breast cancer is caught early, the survival rate is over 99%, nearly 100% for stage one before
Starting point is 00:13:19 it spreads. If you're 40 or older, you should be getting screened every year. And if you're under 40, it is never too early to understand your risk. So come on now. Pay the girls some attention. Head to Your Attention Please.com to learn your breast cancer risk and what screenings you might need. Trust me, your future self will thank you. Brought to you by Novartis.
Starting point is 00:13:41 All right, quick quiz for the hiring managers out there. What's worse? Being understaffed or being poorly staffed? Well, that's a trick question, because both are recipes for chaos. Either way, just say to yourself, This is a job for Indeed's sponsored jobs. You'll get matched with candidates that meet the skills, certifications, and everything else you're looking for.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Or go a different way and get no traction. Seriously, sponsored jobs posted directly on Indeed are 95% more likely to report a hire than non-sponsored jobs. It really is a no-brainer. Spend less time searching and more time actually interviewing candidates who check all your boxes. Less stress, less time, more results. When you need the right person to cut through the chaos, this is a job for Indeed's sponsored jobs. And listeners of this show will get a $75 sponsored job credit to help your job get the premium status it deserves at Indeed.com slash podcast. Just go to Indeed.com slash podcast right now.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Indeed.com slash podcast. Terms and conditions apply. Need to hire? This is a job for Indeed Sponsored Jobs. You know what? We're talking Shoheyotani finally getting his first home run. Obviously the top of the order has been tremendous. led by Moogie Betts. But what about the fact that the Dodgers are so successful so far? What are they seven and two so far on this year? And the entire offense, Clint, hasn't even gotten going. The rest of the order is still, we're still kind of waiting for them to get going. Yeah, this is a top of the lineup that's absolutely, I mean, it's doing exactly what you
Starting point is 00:15:09 expected them to do. Even to show, hey, not doing, not tearing the cover off of the baseball yet. Freddie Freeman, the numbers are there, but he's not even happy with his swing yet. We know what Mookie's doing. Max Muncie quietly having a great start to his season, which is awesome for him. Tiasca Hernandez is not putting it all together yet, but the power, the OPS is there. But you're still not seeing everybody firing on all cylinders as we see a record-setting Dodgers here on the screen. The scoring five-plus runs or five runs or more in each of their eight games, as we said.
Starting point is 00:15:41 But you're still not seeing Gavin Lux really figuring it all out yet. You're not seeing James Outman figuring it all yet. And then that trio who's kind of been the. other guy in the outfield, whether it's Jason Hayward, more on him a little bit later, Chris Taylor, Akika Hernandez. If they start putting it all together, is this Murderer's Row 24? No, I think so. I mean, that's what you expect when you look at the Dodgers lineup, top to bottom, but this was an issue last year with the bottom part of the order. I'm not necessarily producing. I mean, James Outman right now had a good year last year, but right now he's hitting 120.
Starting point is 00:16:12 He's three for 25. And, you know, we'll get into that a little bit later, too. But I do think that this is such a dangerous lineup that at least if one or two of the nine is playing up to their capabilities, this is a very, very difficult team to beat. Before I let you go, before we move on, I want to ask you, before we move on to the rising suns, show Hey Otani, there was a foul ball that was caught that went for bid for $15,000. It was a foul ball signed by Otani and this person put it on the market for $15,000. Bill Shakin had this tweet earlier. Would you pay $15,000 for anything signed by Shoaheotani? Not even slightly. But I'm also not one of those ball hawk dudes. I don't care about getting, I mean, game homers are fun. Catching a foul ball is fun, but I don't care about signatures and all that. It's not my cup of tea. Apparently for some, it's maybe a $15,000 cup of tea. It's a bit much, me. The pockets are a little dry for a 15K ball.
Starting point is 00:17:11 All right. Show Hey, Otani is big news no matter where he goes. He's international. national news. And that brings us to our next segment called Rising Suns. And the reason being is because, of course, we have Shohei Otani with the Dodgers. We also have Yamamoto with the Dodgers. But it may not be the only Japanese superstar coming to the Los Angeles Dodgers. At least that's what Dodgers fans hope, Clint. Because think about the fact, first of all, before we get into that, when you, when we had the soul series against the San Diego Potters, the two games set there, one in four Japanese households watched that series. That's impressive. A lot of eyes because of what Shohei Otani and to an extent what Yamamoto are doing as well. Yeah, we call them the Los Angeles Samurai. Dodgers fan or Dodgers, yeah, Dodgers fandom is going to be extending worldwide. We know they're going to get that love in Japan. I mean, that is an insane amount of eyes for two baseball games against the Padres. But you love to see it.
Starting point is 00:18:08 You love to see the good word of Dodger Blue getting spread further around the world. And maybe these goodwill trips as much as. there are a pain for Dodgers fans in LA, a 3 a.m. game. Maybe these are good for baseball in the long run. Well, the next big thing apparently coming out of the country of Japan is Roki Sasaki. And for those that don't know too much about him, he's the youngest pitcher to ever throw a perfect game in Japan. Now, he's only 22 years of age. He has made it very clear, Clint, that he wants to pitch in the major league level. But according to Bob Nightingale of USA Today, a lot of GMs think, of course, we would love to have him, but he's obviously going to go to the Dodgers.
Starting point is 00:18:46 If that is the case, that would be a one hell of a one, two, three punch. Now, he is only 22. There are some limitations as to whether or not he can come here because you have, if you're younger than 25 and you don't have at least six years of service time, you're subject to Major League Baseball's international amateur signing bonus pool. So he wants to pitch here. We're not sure when it's going to be, but could you imagine him in a Dodger uniform? I think a lot of fans already have imagined him in a Dodger uniform
Starting point is 00:19:12 suiting up next season alongside Shohei Otani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in that starting rotation. That would be a hell of a sight. You can never have too much starting pitching. We see this every year. O'Kisasaki, if you want to be a Dodger, you want to come to MLB. We got you, bud, and you're going to be cheap. We can do another one of those contracts. Of course, baseball's already seen the superstar coming from NPB, playing on a very cheap deal because that's how Shohay Otani became an angel for what was it a $3 million signing bonus which is insane. Artie Moreno fleeced the world I guess with that one getting that
Starting point is 00:19:49 getting all the important value out of Shohay early and then when he got expensive being like kind of don't want to deal with that anymore but the idea of Roki Sasaki this is a dude who can you know hit 102 miles an hour in the fastball he's still only 22 and you bring bring him to LA. You know, we knock on desk here, bring him to L.A. letting him get in that pitching lab with Mark Pryor. It's fun. That is a fun idea.
Starting point is 00:20:15 I'm focused on them winning a World Series in 2024, but it'd be nice to run it back with Rokey in 25. Well, Dodgers, you know, of course, were at his most recent start, according to Dylan Hernandez of the L.A. Times, not only the Dodgers, though, seven other major league teams were, you know, had their eyes and their guns on his most recent start. I mean, this is a kid, obviously, we're following in the footsteps of Shohei Otani and Yoshinovo, you know, Yamamoto. And who knows? I mean, three of them in the Dodger starting rotation would be absolutely sick. And it's kind of like the Shohei effect, right?
Starting point is 00:20:50 The Shohei Otani effect, Bill Shake. And Clinton had a good tweet talking about the fact that the Dodgers now have a partnership with a specific airline that is now offering three flights a day from L.A. to Tokyo. I mean, this is the show Hey, Otani effect that we're talking about. I mean, it's sponsorship deals, it's butts in the seats. It's so much more than just show hey. Yeah, and this, so this kind of partnership, this sort of thing, the ball sort of got started to roll earlier in the offseason. About a month before the show, Hey, Otani signing, the Dodgers hired or rehired a, I want to get it right here. So a senior vice president of global partnerships brought him back to the organization, Lorenzo,
Starting point is 00:21:33 Skiriano, probably butchering the last name. But this was the idea. It's like, hey, if we don't get Otani, we're going to get Yamamoto. We're going to get somebody. And then we are going to market the shit out of ourselves abroad. And to get a Dodger plane going, it's not a Dodger plane, but still, to get a partner. Yeah, essentially will be to slap a, slap the, lock, slap the Otani shirt on there.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Why not? This is a good deal. This is the start of many of these kind of deals. We don't know if it's a good deal. We don't know what kind of money they're making, but it's Los Angeles Dodgers. I'm sure they're making pretty damn good money. But first of many of these type of things we're going to see over the next five to six years or decade. Well, I remember having a conversation with my former boss, Lon Rosen,
Starting point is 00:22:17 who's the VP of Marketing and Broadcasting for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he was on his way to Tokyo to talk about a bunch of different business deals. So again, but make no mistake about it. The Dodger ownership group knows exactly what they're doing. When you have a team that's sponsored by their own owners and has a Guggenheim patch on their uniform, you know that they have money. And if they're given Shohei Otani, 700 million, if they're given Yoshinobu Yamamoto $325 million, it's obvious that they're making a boatload. If Shohei gets $700 million, the Dodgers are anticipating, you know, that they're going to make
Starting point is 00:22:47 $2.4 billion in return for whatever Shohei is getting. So it works, you know, it works for all parties involved, if you will. No matter what kind of car you drive, two things are always true. All tires eventually need replacing and all vehicles need servicing. Luckily for you, Big O tires is an expert in both. This is a job for Indeed Sponsored Jobs. All right. Time now for Blue Balls, which I have a really hard time saying that as being a female, but here we are. And we're talking about injuries. So let's start first with Jason Hayward. This is a guy, of course, it's a veteran leader. He's an outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but he is hitting the IL with lower back tightness. What do you make of it? I think it's a well-timed IL move. I don't like the idea of Hayward going to, early April or going to Chicago and early April.
Starting point is 00:26:00 That's probably not good for any elderly people like myself and him in our mid-30s or late 30s going to cold with a slight back issue. This is that first little test for the Dodgers. I already have a few in the starting rotation front, of course, with Walker Bueller and Bruzdar, Gratterol, who will get to in a second, the pitching wise. But this is one of those moves or this is one of those situations where it gives other guys an opportunity to step up because we haven't seen very much out of Chris Taylor so far the season haven't seen very much at a Kikey Hernandez so far this season so give Jason Hayward his time he will be back
Starting point is 00:26:38 and he will find a way to produce for this team and he's still going to be there but I don't think it's a major issue at this point we hope backs are a bitch though you know it's yeah you need it for everything unfortunately it's also hard though to get much out of a guy that doesn't get to play every day And Kikei Hernandez doesn't get to play every day. Chris Taylor doesn't get to play every day anymore. And that's difficult. It's difficult to get into a rhythm in a game that is as harder to play as baseball is when you're just kind of called upon in later innings or off the bench or a pinch,
Starting point is 00:27:08 you know, pinch hit type of situation. So I'm going to go ahead and give them a pass and I'm going to let their track record speak for themselves. Kiki has always been better when he's been an everyday player. I think the same can be said about Chris Taylor as well. And that's the problem with the Dodgers is an embarrassment of riches of all the different guys that they have, but you have to find time. And you have to find at-bats for all of these guys.
Starting point is 00:27:28 You had mentioned bruised our graderol. He has been moved to the 60-day I. Dave Roberts says that he's pitching, but he just can't let it lose yet. Yeah, a little bit of limitation there was a hit, started with the hip thing, kind of adjusted his mechanic or messed up his mechanics, became more of a shoulder thing. So the Dodgers will be without the bazooka for a couple of months, essentially, not a massive blow as well. There are some guys that are around.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Of course, this gives more opportunity for Daniel Hudson. We're seeing, I guess, sort of a benefit with the Nelson Lemette kind of sort of trying to reinvent himself as a Dodger gets his first career save in the game last night. But you would prefer to have Gratterol in this bullpen. You know what he can do. He's nasty, easiest 100 mile an hour gas you're ever going to see out of reliever. But that's the situation they find themselves in. We know how these Dodgers operate. they will find somebody on the scrap heap.
Starting point is 00:28:28 They'll turn them into somebody. And then, you know, Bruisdard gets his time to not rush back. And we care more about down the road. We care more about October, not April. I feel like the Dodgers are so good about finding guys and just letting them be who they are and not trying to change things around completely to let them shine. I feel like they're kind of like Bill Belichick who can find like a cashier and then he turns them into a pro bowler.
Starting point is 00:28:50 That's kind of how I feel the Dodgers are with these guys. So the corresponding moves for Bruzdar is Nick Ramirez from the Yankees. They got him and they traded for cash for him. And as far as Jason Hayward is concerned, Taylor Tramble takes his spot on the roster. For those of you listening, here's the, I want to know your thought, though, about the Dodgers bullpen. Here's some of the numbers so far, Clint, as I look over. So they're 17th in ERA. That's not good.
Starting point is 00:29:14 4.93. They have pitched the most inning so far. Now, this, again, it's the first week of the season. they've allowed the second most hits. They have the first in terms of strikeout. So that's a good thing with 39. Their opponent average against ranks 20th and their opponent OPS ranks 15th. What grade would you give the Dodgers bullpen so far?
Starting point is 00:29:35 And this is a C bullpen so far, you know, put in a little bit more work, see me after class, I guess sort of situation. But this is the symptom of not having a graderol, not having to try and like they assume they would have at this point in the season. importantly, Evan Phillips having a great, really, really great, hopefully an all-star start to his 2024 season. But eventually you need to get some of these other guys back. Joe Kelly has been struggling, Alex Vessia, kind of doing his sort of tightrope thing. But as I look over here, my notes of who we have in the bullpen, I say we as of him on the team, but still, you know, Grove, Michael Grove not, they're not using him right or Dave. I, I don't. I don't, I don't, I'm trying not to put words in other people's mouth.
Starting point is 00:30:23 So this is me sort of tipto. You can't even do it in your own mouth, a little on point. But the fans, I'm not as high on the idea of, oh, Michael Grove should only be a one-inning reliever, but he's much better as a one-inning reliever, but we saw him extended and it didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:30:40 And then you had to go, Devin Phillips for a four-out save. Again, to answer the question, to go back, make it simple. This is a sea bullpen. you want to see a little bit of improvement. And you want to see guys like Blake Trinan getting back and hopefully settling some things there. Yeah, and Davis says they could shore that up via trade if they need to.
Starting point is 00:30:59 I agree with you. I mean, there's always room for improvement. But the Dodgers are in a position to be able to make some moves at the deadline to fix whatever the problems are at that point. Now, I will say this, to be fair, as far as the numbers were concerned with the bullpen, innings pitched the first two games in Seoul kind of skew that a little bit because they obviously played prior to everybody else playing in the regular season. All right, time now for last licks, Clint. All right. This is brought to you by Guidry's Guardian Foundation. In full disclosure, that is my nonprofit foundation. And we are presenting to you, Clint Piscius, a little lady by

See, Richard Flores, that is my man. His Dodgers fan experience is not for sale. Again, I understand people, you know, want to ask for the moon. But I'm with him.
Starting point is 00:33:42 I think it's a, it's, you know, no, don't sell your soul to the devil for a, for a baseball. I think it's awesome that he wouldn't give up his seats. And especially not to opposing fans. How dare you? I know that there's people that do that, Clint. Can you imagine? What if it's like a Giants fan? What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:33:59 That one's a little bit rough. I don't know how I would act in that situation. Like I've never been presented with that situation where it's like, ha ha, I got you now.
