Arranged Marriage is basically a reality show and you're auditioning for your soulmate. And who's judging? Only your entire family. Starting point is 00:01:36 If You Knew Better brings real talk from women who've lived it. Unpacking career pivots, relationship lessons, and the mindset shifts that changed everything. Listen to If You Knew Better with Amber Grimes on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ice Cube all day every day. Alana, this is what's funny. We're able to talk about this because this is how good the Dodgers are. This is how good these Dodgers were.
Starting point is 00:02:02 What up, everybody earlier today? I said we are coming to you live as a 2-0 team. Now I can say we are coming to you post-game live as a 3-0 team in the World Series. Alana Rizzo, Clint Paseas right here on Dodgers territory. Thank you so much for being with us on this post-game edition. Please rate us five stars, like, subscribe, all the things. Clint, they are one win away from winning the 2024 World Series. That feels, wait, I can't say effing because we're still
Starting point is 00:02:33 early in YouTube and YouTube pays attention to that kind of stuff early on. One F-N-Win' win away from the eighth World Series Championship and franchise history. Walker Bueller doing something special on the bump today. Freddie Freeman, you got your called shot. I did. I said Freddie Freeman was going to go yard again. I also said Teo was going to go yard. He didn't go yard, but he had a cannon of an arm.
Starting point is 00:02:58 So he did it defensively. Why you're sending Jean-Carlo's stand there? I don't know. I don't know why Rojas sent him. but I'll take it. You know what I mean? Like if you want, if you want the slowest man on the planet running and you're going to send him trying to force the issue, I mean, you can't get on Jean Carlo. He's really the only offense so much that the Yankees have had. But yeah, let's go back to, let's go back to Butane for a hot second. This guy just shoves on the road and shoves in the biggest
Starting point is 00:03:21 moments in three postseason career, excuse me, three world series of games for Walker, 18 inning, seven hits, one run, one run, three walks and 20. K's for buting. I mean, that's all you can ask for, right? That's pretty, that's pretty special. What, what this kid did today, and I say kid, he's been around for a while, could have gone deeper into this game, 76 pitches, you know, I understand. That's not the, that's not the game plan this, this year or this postseason. They're not going to let guys go out and face an order, the top of the order for a third time or whatever. But if this is the final time, we see Walker Bueller in a Dodger uniform, it was a hell of a send-off.
Starting point is 00:04:02 He did everything he needed to try to give this team that opportunity to win, you know, win game three. And, you know, again, bring home that championship this year. Love what you saw from him. Looking nasty, same like we saw in New York last week or whatever it was at City Field. The stuff moving just a different poise, a different, you know, kind of panache to my guy, Walker Bueller out there. But only two hits. You cannot ask for more out of Walker. Walker Beeler, the first Los Angeles Dodger starting pitcher to throw five shutout
Starting point is 00:04:39 innings in a World Series since he did it in 2018. So he absolutely was tremendous. And you know, as much as I gave this team a lot of grief and I question the depth of the starting pitching and the narrative all season long was they don't have enough. I was the leader of that narrative. I understand it. You have to say that they have gotten exactly what they've needed from their starters, from Jack Flaherty in game one to Yoshinovi Yamamoto in game two to Walker Bueller on the road in game three.
Starting point is 00:05:07 They've gotten exactly what they've needed. They've also had a bullpen that has shoved. Dave Roberts has touched all of the right buttons. And they've gotten the offense and the run support that they've needed. This has been so far in these three games, the most complete world series start that you could ask for, in my opinion. Dare I say this is a little bit of a boring series? Never. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:05:29 you're getting everything you want. You know, that's funny. It's like the Dodgers are leaving. It feels to me like they're leaving some things on the table here and there. You know, umpiring today kind of hurt the Dodgers early, really helped the Dodgers later on in the game, not having to see Juan Soto up with, I think it was bases loaded or something like that for the Yankees.
Starting point is 00:05:49 You know, after, what is it? After the NLDS, one of the things I'd kind of teased, toyed with a little bit was this feels like one of those series where the, the team, you know, the Dodgers can just, just ride it out, eight straight wins to a world series. Of course, the Mets gave them a little bit of a fight, but we're not seeing a whole lot of fight out of the Yankees. You're definitely not.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Is it boring? No, because the Dodgers are winning. Now, I would hate to be a Yankees fan. There's a lot of things to question there. I know our friend Derek Lewandowski is live right now, and I'm sure the people in the comments are not happy, but guys in the comments here sound off. We want to know how you guys are feeling. Cap Cavevance is one more from history.
Starting point is 00:06:34 We, we, Jason, history, that's where we're at right now. One more win. It's so funny. If you follow Derek on Twitter, which are on X, whatever, like I know that you probably do. It's so funny. Isn't it weird that the Yankees always rally in the ninth inning when the deficit is just too big for it to matter? This series ended when Nestor Cortez came into pitch on Friday night.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Torres taking a first pitch fastball that he could have crushed. Someone needs to teach Austin Wells about too close to take. I mean, this poor guy. He is reeling. He is really. He's our friend. He's our partner. He's our, he's our family member on foul territory over on pinstrived territory, but he's hating life right now. Let's talk a bit about Freddie Freeman. Again, a home run. This is a guy that has put this team on his back. It's got to be something to do with the number five jersey. Remember Corey Seeger? Remember Corey Seeger? Oh, yeah. Remember Corey Seeger the last time the Dodgers were in the World Series in 2020, number five. And I remember when Corey ended up signing in the offseason with the Texas Rangers and number five was available. I was like, hey, Freddie, number five. That's what you wore in Atlanta. That is available here. And he's putting this team on his back. And Sarah, our producer says, dude wants whatever car they're going to give to the World Series MVP. I mean, Freddie's probably going to have another car in his garage
Starting point is 00:07:45 here shortly. I mean, and again, found the ball off that ankle that's already hurt. You know, you feel for him, but he is, he's playing through the pain and he's coming up huge, Clint Paseas. Yeah. You can't. Dodgers 100,000% are not here in this position, if it's not for Freddie Freeman, because you know, you look at that at that game one, you're one out away from losing that. And we said it a little bit earlier today. This could be a very, very different series if just one or two things go a little bit differently for the Yankees. They had that game in the bag.
Starting point is 00:08:21 They were feeling good. We know the fine folks over at Talking Yanks, I think I already put out the post on Twitter that said. You know, they take a one-nothing lead. Yankees win game one of the World Series. You know, you got to get all 27. Well, there's stupid dances, though. I mean, I'm talking Yanks. And then we did it too.
Starting point is 00:08:43 The Dodgers did it too. Like, didn't you say that you hated TikTok for that reason? Because there was like two Dodgers fans in the parking lot doing this stupid dance, which is quite embarrassing. Yeah, that kind of, I hate this, again, this TikTok era that we live in, where people are just trying to chase clout for, you know, know, I don't know what the hell they're trying to do, but it doesn't matter about that. We can feel old and complain about a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:09:06 We can't complain about $1.99 super chat from Noah Ortega. Thank you very much. Noah. This is judge went from Godzilla to Barney. Still no Aaron judge citing in this series. You know what? It's crazy, though. I feel badly for him.
Starting point is 00:09:20 I do. And I know that legacies are made in the postseason. I know legacies are made with black type and what you do in the postseason. And it's crazy to think that Jean-Carlos. could very well be headed to the hall just based on what he's done so far. It's the new me and it's the old them. Everybody's on their journey. And your journey is different to this.
Starting point is 00:09:38 This Woman's History Month, the podcast, if you knew better with Amber Grimes, spotlights women who turn missteps into momentum and lessons into power. I think coming out of where I came from, I'm from the Bronx, I think I grew up really poor. I didn't know that then because I very much used my creativity to romanticize life. And I'm like, my mom did a really good job of like, you step back and, you're like, whoa, we, I don't know how we made it. So a lot of my life was like built out of like survival to get to the next place. Like my drive, my like tunnel vision of like, I got to be better.
Starting point is 00:10:13 I got to achieve this was off the strengths of like I want to make a better life for us. If You Knew Better brings real talk from women who've lived it, unpacking career pivots, relationship lessons and the mindset shifts that changed everything. Listen to If You Knew Better with Amber Grimes on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Usually on this podcast will kill you, we talk about the diseases, infections, and biological threats that can make us really sick. But right now, we're doing something a little different.
Starting point is 00:10:42 We're stepping back and looking at what the human body needs to keep going. When you consider what we know about sleep in humans, there's one rule that comes out. We are predictably unpredictable sleepers. We're talking about why sleep works the way it does, why our bodies don't follow neat rules, and why modern life makes rest so hard to come by. The second half of our series takes us to the digestive system with a multi-part series on what happens after we eat. Okay, I just have to say that all of my favorite words
Starting point is 00:11:09 apparently are digestive words. Sphinctur, peristolstallis, duodenum. It's fascinating. It's funny, and it matters so much more than you think. Episodes of our new series run from January 20th through February 17th, with new episodes every Tuesday on the Exactly Right Network. Listen to this podcast will kill you as part of the Exactly Right Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Remember when you'd walk into your local video rental place and there were always those two
Starting point is 00:11:37 employees behind the counter arguing about movies? Well, that's us. I'm Millie to Cherico. And I'm Casey O'Brien. And now we're arguing about movies on our podcast, Dear Movies I Love You from the Exactly Right Network. Can I say something about the Criterion Clause? Go ahead, dude.
Starting point is 00:11:53 They're letting too many people in there. Okay. That's another film grape I got two. Sadly, that rental place doesn't exist anymore. It's probably a store that sells running shoes. Or an ice cream shop with an extra pee and an E at the end. So consider us your slacker movie clerks in podcast form. I would like to establish a timeline of the moment you figured out who Channing Tatum was.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Every Tuesday, we dig into the movies we can't stop obsessing over, from hidden gems to big screen favorites. New episodes drop every week on the exactly right network. Listen to Deer Movies I love you on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This postseason, thanks again for the super chat. Bullpen just had to give us a heart attack after eight scoreless endings. So for this sweep, job's not done. Yeah, I feel badly for Aaron Judge, but yes, he's been horrific as far as offensively. And just the amount of strikeouts, just the no contact, too much swing and miss for Aaron, Judge.
Starting point is 00:12:53 You know, but again, what I think they needed to do, and you and I discussed this at length during Dodgers' territory earlier today, you had to get Clark Schmidt out of the game early. And they did that. I mean, they chased him after two and two thirds. As you mentioned, good at bats. They were drawn the walks. You got him out of the game early and you went straight to that bullpen. And the bullpen's already been compromised for the Yankees because of having to go to them early, obviously, in the prior two starts that, not really that Garrett Cole. I mean, I think they could have kept Garrett Cole in there much longer. They took him out after 88 pitches. And if you don't, if you don't trust Garrett Cole, who the heck do you trust? I mean, he's the ace of the staff. He's the national,
Starting point is 00:13:26 he's the reigning American League's I Young Award winner. And then obviously Carlos Rodon did not have a decent start. So the bullpen for the Yankees has already compromised. Clark shit. Shit. I did not mean to say that. Clark Schmidt. I did not mean to say that.
Starting point is 00:13:41 My bad. I have a great amount of respect. I have a great amount of respect for Clark Schmidt. I apologize. He just didn't have it today. So two and two thirds. I'm sorry. That was a massive Freudian slip there.
Starting point is 00:13:53 And then you forced the bullpen to, to eat a ton of innings. Yeah, back to back games for the Yankees. Yeah, and the Dodgers looked really good, and Walker gave him a solid five. I wanted Walker to go back out there, but, I mean, what do I know? Sitting on the couch, it's so easy to say. But Dave Roberts has not made a mistake yet. I'm not going to start questioning him now.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Yeah, I mean, there's so many different ways we can go with this as well because, you know, outside of Kopeck there in the ninth, he, Dave was able to avoid, I mean, not necessarily always, avoid all of the high leverage guys because you did get Vescia in there. You did get, you know, Bonda in. there if you consider him a high leverage guy. But to be able to avoid Blake Trident, who was very, you know, obviously gas, you got Dan, Hudson in for the first time in this series, you are set up in a phenomenal spot to what we talked about earlier this afternoon.
Starting point is 00:14:42 You win this game. You're in a position to sweep. And now the Yankees season rests on Luis Heel, who for the Yanks, he was, he was like one of those, you know, storyline. guys in the first half of the season. He was phenomenal, but you got to play 162 games. You got to play all seven plus months into the end of October. He's only started one game this October. I think he has four endings under the belt. So Yankees, not at all in a good position. Dodgers very much in the driver's seat, going to a bullpen game themselves. It looks like most likely
Starting point is 00:15:19 the guy would call him turtleneck and chain. I know. Grant Honeywell getting the ball. That turtle neck is something special. Let me tell you. But you know what? I went back and listened to the interview that he had with Dave Vasay and when Max Muncie basically said, you know, he pitched his butt off in game five to allow us to win game six. And listening to Brent Honeywell, you could tell how much he appreciated it. I mean, this guy was that had an opportunity to go to another team. But he decided that he wanted to stay with the daughters for the opportunity to win. And you know what? Because he was at the podium today, there's a very good chance. He is the opener tomorrow. Extend Walker F. and Bueller, Bob Nightingale.
Starting point is 00:15:56 We appreciate that 499 to chat. Thank you so much. Not the middle Bob Nightingale, but we'll take it. Yeah, I mean, you know, I don't know if Walker is going to be back, but I tell you what he's in the kid shoves. And again, Kike Hernandez, what did I tell you? Another two for four night for Kike drove in that fourth run of the game. He's just something special in the month.
Starting point is 00:16:14 By the way, yes, Paul C. Can we talk about this? I'm sorry. I know I'm not the most like on top of things in terms of like, like what's cool, what's in, what's not, what's like, whatever the kids are saying, fat Joe was terrible tonight. Yeah. Like, that was awful.
Starting point is 00:16:31 So, so I, I heard it. I was in here in the office, getting some things set up for the stream because when you're doing post games and you're directing him, your life needs to be fully dedicated to this. So it doesn't look super tech. Oh, okay. So I heard it out in the living room and I was like, why is this man screaming? What is happening here? Like the Dodgers should win the World Series purely based on how much better Ice Cube was in game two.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Think about how many artists must be from New York. One of the five boroughs. I don't care. Pick a borough. It doesn't even have to be the Bronx. Pick a borough. Like Fat Joe is the best that you could come up. And well, you know what I didn't like?
Starting point is 00:17:09 Not only I thought the performance was terrible, get off the mound, dude. Like stop walking all over the mound with your, like that was so. Did you see Dallas Braden talking about? about that brought back like A-Rod days when A-Rod like walked over his mound. You know what's funny. But anyway, ice cube all day every day. Alana, this is what's funny. He's that we're able to talk about this because this is how good the Dodgers are.
Starting point is 00:17:33 This is how good these Dodgers were. When we got to, you know, just days before the start of the postseason, you were worried. You were absolutely worried about the fact that you were facing the Padres. But you knew this team was going to be running on vibes, running on aura, running on a bunch of different dudes stepping up and making a difference every, you know, any given night. It's, it's not any given Sunday with this team, whether it's a Tommy Edmund. Like you said, Kike Hernandez, getting, you know, World Series, soon to be World Series MVP, Freddie Freeman breaking out and hitting homers in three straight games.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Mookie Bette's with the little doink RBI single in there. It was like a defensive swing for Mookie and it worked out. Can I just, can I defend my? Can I, okay, can I defend my position on the, on the Padres thing? Because I still am getting blown up. Think about, think about what the, and again, the Dodgers had to beat an unbelievably good Padres team. Okay. That could have gone either way.
Starting point is 00:18:36 And then the Dodgers, after they got out of the first round, I was like, okay, once you're through the division series, I felt unbelievably confident. And I said the Dodgers, I wasn't even worried about the championship series. I said, they're going to the World Series. They beat a very, very good MET team to get to the World Series. And here they are three nothing advantage in the World Series. One more win. That is all they need. The Yankees, on the other hand, had to beat the Royals, and then they had to beat the Guardians.
Starting point is 00:19:03 I know that they're all major leaguers, but the Royals and the guardians at this moment are not the Padres and they're not the Mets. So the Yankees had a bit of an easier, not easy, that's not fair, but a bit of a different approach of who they had to go through to get to this point. the Dodgers had stiffer competition it was harder to get to the World Series get off me on the Padres in five I'm not the only one that thought that
Starting point is 00:19:25 okay I have never wanted the Padres to win I have to be objective at a certain point get off me on that enough I fully again I try I defended you in one of the one of the shows we did after that like you're giving a professional opinion
Starting point is 00:19:42 entering that series and it wasn't something that you just kind of pulled out of your ass up to that point you were talking about it for three months of the regular season. This whole second half, you're talking about, hey, the Padres are on fire. The Padres are a good team. That's a team that I'm worried about.
Starting point is 00:19:57 But I'm not worried about this super chat. $1.99 from Mr. John Rod says, fat Joe needs to sit down to catch his breath. And we got another one back here from earlier today. Christopher Navarro, another $10 super chat. Thank you very much, Chris, saying, And Nuster dumb ass predictions for tomorrow. Are we sweeping?
Starting point is 00:20:18 Alana, take it. I'm going to say no. And as much as I would love for the Dodgers to sweep, I just can't demand. No, it's okay, though. It's okay. I said the Dodgers and six. Why do you hate the Dodgers? Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Wow. Oh, my goodness. I said the Dodgers in six. Now I'm going to say the Dodgers in five. The reason I just, I have such a hard time believing that the Yankees are going to get swept. Like I just, I mean, you know, Luis Hill, who you. you've talked about, but a bullpen, listen, would I love, sure, I would love to have L.A. have a parade this weekend.
Starting point is 00:20:52 That'd be fantastic. Yeah. I'm going to say at this point, Dodgers and 5. There's another super chat, if you want to throw that up there from siege roots. Let's go. Walker effing Bueller, finding his former self. I agree with that in game three of the World Series was not on my bingo card, but I'll take it. Freddie shut that classy stanky's chant.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Oh, gosh, real quick, this game. Yankees had the inside track for sure. Thank you for that $20 super chat. Thank you, my dear, for being here. We appreciate you very much. Stephen Spams wants a parade. Well, who the heck doesn't, Stephen? Instant karma.
Starting point is 00:21:22 That out from Teoscar at home is what a real out looks like. Again, John, I mean, to be fair, you've got to know who's running, but I'll still take it. Can we pause for a second to say, again, you already, this is episode 71. So proud of you for finally finding the comments. It makes things so much easier just all around. Thank you. Guys, that's a subscribe to a lot of RISO. So two ends.
Starting point is 00:21:45 It's so crazy. So there's like this little box in the upper right hand corner that had this dot. And I like just clicked on the dot. I'm like, oh my God, there's the comments. This is where I'm at in life. This is where I'm at in life. And again, this is where the Dodgers are at. We are in a good spot.
Starting point is 00:21:58 We are having fun. I'm sorry to Derek Lewandowski and what he's going through right now. It has to feel like Dead Man walking to be a Yankees fan. But again, Dodgers, phenomenal spot right here. Walker Bueller goes out there, shoves. has another one of those World Series performances that we know and love.
Starting point is 00:22:19 You're getting just the right amount of offense, even with without all of the dudes and all of the health. Dave, once again, pulling all the right strings, making all the right moves. It's the new me. And it's the old them. Everybody's on their journey. And your
Starting point is 00:22:35 journey is different to this. This woman's History Month, the podcast, if you knew better with Amber Grimes, spotlights women who turn missteps into momentum and lessens into power. Oops. Dodgers are in a great spot. And going back to that Nostra dumbass question from Chris Navarro, I don't think they sweep, but I would not be shocked if we are partying. You said earlier at Dodgers territory, you said they were sweeping.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Okay, so let's assume that you're going to go with that. Okay. So what does the Dodgers offense need to do tomorrow against Luis Heel? Obviously, get to him early, be aggressive, continue to do what they're doing. What else do they need to do to knock this guy out of the game early and have to go back to that Yankees bullpen that has had to eat a bunch of innings? It's going to have to start at the top. You need to apply pressure early and often.
Starting point is 00:26:09 We haven't talked about Shohei. Shohay looks compromised, very much looks compromised. Looks like he's in a lot of pain. But even so, like I like Shohay in the lineup because it's part of that vibe. I'm going vibe again. He brings a different character to the top of that lineup. So even if he's able to, like he did in the first inning, earn a walk and immediately the Dodgers are up, you know, good things happen when Shohey Otani is in this lineup. But Mookie, got to find a way to get to this Louise Heel kid.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Freddie, keep it going. You know, solidify, cement that whatever car or truck you're going to win. I don't know if it's a Corvette again. But give him the car. And Tay Oscar, you know, he hosed the slowest man in the universe today. And he deserves to get, you deserve to have that called shot on the bomb just one day later. Because we know, I mean, the bottom of the lineup, middle of the lineup, it's a little, it's a little missing. It's a little stagnant right now.
Starting point is 00:27:10 You're not seeing, I was hoping we'd see something, you know, out of, out of Will Smith in the series. We haven't calling phenomenal games. So that's fine. Max Muncie, kind of not really there, but playing some really, really good defense. Everybody's playing a role and playing a part really, really, really well for this team. But you just need to see, you know, one or two guys outside of the mukis or the Freddy's or, you know, whoever else. You need to see one or two of those guys put up a five spot, and I think you can win. I think you win tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:27:41 I mean, yeah, I agree with you. I think if you can take Luis Heel out of the game early, you've got a really good shot. You know, again, the bottom part of the order didn't do a ton tonight, but we didn't really need them to. I mean, that two-run bomb in the first inning, that was so helpful because it already took a lot of the wind out of the sales of the Yankees, right? Like the whole thing is get to these guys soon. Another super chat. We appreciate you, John Bleeding Blue, baseball God's approval on a wrong. I love it. I love it. I would love it. I would love it. But I would love that. But I do say it in five.
Starting point is 00:28:12 As I said, I think you've been like extremely open and honest about, you know, where you're at and what you wanted to see from this team this October. You know, yeah, the Padres entered the postseason. Maybe the better team. But the Dodgers have all that talent. And you wanted the Dodgers to win. And maybe they just needed that. They needed to hear us, but always going to be Dodger family to us. Oh, thanks, Brandon. I appreciate that very much. I appreciate you guys. Yeah, I am a Dodger fan for life. I am a Dodger for life.
Starting point is 00:28:44 All right. So let me ask you this. This has to be arguably Dave Roberts' best managerial three weeks of his life. Yes. Well, I mean, I can't. I can't imagine. No, I just can't imagine how any of this could have gone any better. especially considering the decimation of the injuries that this team has had.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Again, there are two full starting rotations on the injured list for the Dodgers right now. Immense talent. And it started in spring training with with guys like Emmett Sheehan going down and, you know, all the way up through River Ryan, not having Brewster on Gratterol for most of this season. Gavin Stone. Gavin Stone. The Devaston. Glass now.
Starting point is 00:29:30 I would argue that of any of those yet, Glass Now, pretty important, but very important, I should say. But to have lost Gavin Stone when they did, that's just, that's a tough. That's a devastating blow in the month of September where you have to kind of figure this out. I mean, where would this team be without Walker Bueller? We got, we got a lot of offseason to talk about that kind of stuff. I'm thinking now Walker Bueller could maybe potentially be back in Dodger Blue next year, but we'll get there when we get there. We want to parade before we start talking about this. But back to Dave, I'll flip it this way.
Starting point is 00:30:09 And we, again, we talked about it a little bit earlier today with Derek. What I'm seeing out of Aaron Boone and just some of the, not so much deer in the headlights kind of moments or moves or whatever. But that's Dave. That was Dave in 18, taking the ball from Rich Hill, you know, 17. whatever. That's a different story. You know, 16, there is a lot of growing pains there. 19, going to Clayton Kershaw against the Washington Nationals because Clayton Kershaw deserved to have his moments.
Starting point is 00:30:45 You know, 20 things went well, but maybe he relied a little bit too much on Kenley Jansen and eventually did, you know, kind of pulled back and, you know, change, you know, flip to Blake Trinen and, you know, the other guy who got the final out of the final few outs there of that World Series. he's game six. But that's what you're seeing out of Aaron Boone. You're seeing old Dave Roberts. And Dave is a brand new man. He's driving like he's got his penny loafers shine. He's got the Cadillac with the windows down, bumping some lowrider music. Why is he 100?
Starting point is 00:31:20 Like what? He's feeling, why is that 100? That's just good vibes. You've never gone cruising down Whittier Boulevard? Alana, come on. I am not. I'm not. Missing out.
Starting point is 00:31:31 But maybe I'll do that. Maybe after the parade I'll go do that. Oh, you're coming. You're coming. Is this confirmed? Is Mark Weiner paying to get a lot of Rizzo out to L.A. So we could party. Mark Wiener or Mark Walter, one of the marks.
Starting point is 00:31:46 Some marks somewhere. Please send us some money. Or, I mean, we got enough super chats, I think, now. And we just really quickly finish your thought because I have another one before we leave. No, that's it. I love you, Dave Robertson. I'm sorry for doubting you. but I'm going to take the credit for having doubted him after games two and three in that division series.
Starting point is 00:32:07 I think everybody doubted him after game too. Let me, Mark, Mark Weiner just put on Slack. No, he's not sending us to the World Series 3. Dang it. Can we just talk a little bit about the read that Tommy Edmund got to allow him to score? I mean, like, it's just those little types of things, you know, Edmund and the third to score on Mookie's base hit to right that kind of like defend. Oh, look at you, point pushing.
Starting point is 00:32:30 the buttons and pulling up stuff. But the point is what the Dodgers are doing is all of the little things correctly. And this is exactly what the Yankees are lacking. You know, it's like we know that the Yankees can slug, right? We thought that the Yankees had really good starting pitching. And I do believe the Yankees do have good starting pitching. But it's the little things. It's the way that the Dodgers are running the bases.
Starting point is 00:32:50 It's the way that the Dodgers are playing defensively behind the pitchers. I mean, it's just really, I mean, that's a heads up play by Tommy Edmund. And again, somebody in our in our chat that I just found. after 79,000 episodes said that it's the deadline acquisitions that are really providing dividends. And they're absolutely right. I mean, Tommy Edmund has been unbelievable for this team. Jack Flaherty obviously has been big. I've really like I always like the Michael Copeck signing.
Starting point is 00:33:19 That was big. That was good. That puts another run on the board. That was the third run of the game. You know, you know what? Tommy Edmund was able to do that. Tommy Edmund knew who was out in right field. That gold glove award finalist, Juan Soto.
Starting point is 00:33:34 You could bolt when Juan Soto is trying to make a play. He's got a cannon. It was a pretty close play for what it's worth. But he was never, ever getting to that baseball. Tommy Edmund, ball player. And he's a Dodger next year. But again, I'm not ready. I've had a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:33:51 No, he is a Dodger next year. He's under contract. Oh, I thought you're talking about Soto. I was like, oh, no, no, no. I was going to say, I've had so. I've had so many people, and guys, we're about to wrap the show. By the way, follow me over on all Dodgers. We're going to be doing post-post-game show, voicemails, all that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:34:07 So check it out, Tube in. We'll keep the party going. Don't worry. I got the bottle ready to crack. But, wait, where did you get that bottle from? You ever heard of a Walmart? This one, this one was on. Oh, I thought that was the one I saying.
Starting point is 00:34:23 No, I can't open that one. It says Dodgers on it. I feel like, you know. They win the world's first tomorrow. All right. Well, we'll do that one. I lost my train to thought, but Dodgers good. That's about it.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Dodgers good. Are we not entertained, guys? This is a fun baseball team to watch. I want them to win. I'd love to see them sweep. I'd love to see them do it in five. I'm going to be sad to not see this version of a baseball team, you know, this version of the Dodgers playing anymore.
Starting point is 00:34:53 One more win. So that's the thing. I really, again, of course you want a. sweep, right? Like, it just shows the dominance of your team over your opposition. I just thought with the fanfare and again, having 98 days to talk about this World Series like we do with the, with the Super Bowl leading up to it. I just thought it would be more entertaining. Like, are you not entertained? I don't know. Like, I'm so grateful the Dodgers are playing the way that they're playing, but I really thought it would be, I thought there would be more juice. I thought it would be more
Starting point is 00:35:21 competitive. I thought that it would be closer games. I thought that it would be more of a nail bite. Yes, Yes, game one, nail biter, crazy. Last that bat, Freddie Freeman, Grand Slam walking off. Okay, great. But I tell you, it's just been kind of laxadaisical on the other side. I mean, I take them. They're on the right side of, you know, the good guys are winning. Yeah, you'd want a little bit.
Starting point is 00:35:45 I think game one gave it enough juice. Game one really gave it enough juice. You had something going there in game two. Game three, this is a Walker Bueller show. I mean, that's about it, you know. Again, Dodgers is good. Dodgers and four, because why not? I mean, that's great.
Starting point is 00:36:01 I love it. And I hope LA gets a, you know, gets a parade quickly. And I'm proud of this team. I'm proud of the organization. I'm happy for Dave, all of the things. All right, I'm going to let you go because you have more work to do. It's 1215. So Grandma Rizzo's going to bed.
