The Stuff You Should Know Think Spring podcast playlist is available now. Whether spring has sprung in your neck of the woods yet or not, the stuff you should know, think spring playlist will make you want to get your overalls on, get outside.
Starting point is 00:01:48 and get your hands in the dirt. You can get the stuff you should know ThinkSpring playlist on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Teo is all the way back, Alana. I am fully convinced. And the fact that this is a dude, he's going to be hitting fifth, sixth in the lineup.
Starting point is 00:02:08 That's scary. Welcome to Dodgers territory. It is a brand new episode. It is a post-game episode. Alana Rizzo, Clint Paseas, here with you. Katie Wu will be back next week. She wrapped up covering the WBC and she'll be back with us on Monday. Great to have you guys with us.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Thanks for being here. We appreciate it very much. Don't forget to like and subscribe anywhere that you get your podcasts, of course, on YouTube, trying to make it to 20,000 subs and you guys can certainly help us get there. Not only is Katie Wu going to be back with us next week, Clint Paseas, but it was Shohei Otani that was back with the Dodgers a couple of days ago, of course, after Team Japan got eliminated from the World Baseball. classic but he made his spring training debut on the mound and he did great you know i have a button
Starting point is 00:03:08 for this we never use it uh i feel like it's showtime okay showtime is back baby making his first start a camelback i'm just here for the music just vibing uh guys also you know it's a post game show sound off in the comments let us know you're feeling about this team uh blake trin didn't give up runs in this game show hey otani did not give up runs in this game yeah we got to start with Shohei, flipping Otani, four and a third score list. Did not expect to see him go out for that fifth in there is. Yeah. We'll dive into all of the things.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Let's talk about that first. You could not ask for a better return. His debut, does Cactus League debut, his first start of the spring train? You couldn't ask for a better debut. Yeah, and I looked for obviously the confidence, not necessarily as much of the stuff. This is his spring training debut. He did not pitch in the WBC because,
Starting point is 00:04:00 workload and things and the future and the Los Angeles solders, but he looked good. And I love the fact that he wanted to go back out there for the fifth. And maybe that was because Clint, he got himself into a little bit of trouble in the fourth, but he got out of it. Maybe he just wanted to go back out there. He retired the battered. And he was like, all right, that's enough. Let's go ahead and turn this over to the bullpen.
Starting point is 00:04:19 So welcome back, Shohei. He looks great. I'm looking forward to, you know, seeing him take the ball every five or six days. When the regular season starts, they'll continue to stretch him out, obviously. Are we thinking he's going to be, is this his only start, you think, Clint? Or do you think maybe he gets one more tune up on Tuesday against the Angels? That's in about six days. What are you thinking about that?
Starting point is 00:04:40 Yeah, that's the only thing that makes sense. You know, obviously the big concern when Shohei took off to go join Team Japan was that, hey, he's not going to have time to build up regularly. He did get, I think, a pretty decent live BP or a simulated game while participating with Team Japan. but he's back. He made his first start, and you look at the calendar. The Dodgers do play Los Halos at Dodgers Stadium in six days. It's the final fake game before the games count again on Thursday. So it makes a lot of sense. I think him getting out there trying to get to about 65 pitches and knowing that he's not going to be the game one, two, three starter.
Starting point is 00:05:23 It'll push him back to you. I think the next game is they have a game off on Sunday, so he could be available on the Monday. as the Dodger start a new series, the second series of the year. I don't have the calendar in front of me, but I think he's in a really good spot, and I think it makes a lot of sense for them to give him the ball one more time before the season starts. And I think they will, and certainly if he wants to, they will do that. And I think you're right. It doesn't make any sense for him not to get that last tune-up start,
Starting point is 00:05:49 because if he doesn't get a start, even if he's like pitching on the backfields or just throw in bullpen sessions or whatever, you certainly want him to get one more sort of tune-up, kind of stretch it out a little bit more because I don't want him to go that many days if he doesn't get that tune up between now and obviously the regular season when that begins. So Shohei, welcome back. Great to see you on the Hill. Craig, let us know. They sit on the post game show. One more tune to too. So it is confirmed. They listen to me before. Seven, we appreciate you very much. Yeah, good. So that's the right thing. Okay. So one more tune up. And then you go to the bullpen after Shohei Otani retires the batter in the fifth inning. Eduardo Henrique's two-thirds of an inning, one hit, no earned runs, a 771 ERA about that.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Will Klein, zero's across Flint. He's looked good in his time, 117 ERA. Blake Trinan, as you mentioned, didn't give up an earned run, the one walk, the 1K, not so worried about his ERA. I really just think Blake Trinin at 953 is just working on things. What say you? I don't know. The opinion of the masses are worried.
Starting point is 00:06:55 People are worried about Blake Trinan. I'm not not worried about Blake Trinan only because he's coming off of the season that he had last year. It doesn't seem to be so much of a stuff thing, and this is something we talked about recently on my other show. It's command. When you don't have command, and you're fighting, you're struggling to get it back,
Starting point is 00:07:14 consistent command, because we've seen him go out there and still be the Blake Trinan we know and love, but also he's just mixed in a few stinkers. But again, that's the thing that kind of worries me. It's a continuation. of what we saw last year. I don't think Father time is coming yet for Blake.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I think there's still something in the tank. Maybe that's just me being hopeful, respecting a guy that has done so much for this organization since joining the team ahead of the 2020 season. I don't think he's done yet, but I'm definitely worried. I don't think he's going to be as high on, we've talked about it before here as well.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I don't think he's going to be as high on Dave's trust tree to open the season. And I do think he is somebody who can and should have a short leash to open the season. I'm going to go back to his career regular season numbers. 290 ERA 45 and 41, the win-loss record. I don't really care about that because whatever, more relieving than starting in 531 games. The regular season last year was, I want to say, an abomination. and I think it was just kind of,
Starting point is 00:08:26 it was an outlier, if you will. Abomination is not the right way. Outlier is the better word. I mean, 540, ERA. Thank you. Averation. I knew I wanted to do this show with you for reasons. You're such a wordsmith.
Starting point is 00:08:42 I can't even stand it. 32 games last season in 26 and two thirds innings. It was an aberration last year. And I think that he's going, he can only bounce back, right? And he doesn't have to be. The man. The Bullpen, I think, I think he's going to be okay. And like some folks on our show are not worried about Roki at the moment. I'm not worried about Blake Trinon at the moment. So we'll see. I mean, I will happily admit if I'm wrong, but hopefully, hopefully I will not have to. Vesia doing Vesia things. Tanner Scott served up for Homer. That sucks. It would have been a, you know, a complete game or a shutout rather. But whatever, dude. It's, I'm, I'm. not.
Starting point is 00:09:23 Yeah, he's been better. You put that in there until right now. Of course, you would throw that in there, that Tanner Scott served up a homer. Served up a Homer. Come on. Just because of the narrative that followed him last year, you know, somewhat similarly to Blake Trinon, Tanner Scott is somebody who would really, you know, I love to say, Alana, it would it would behoove Tanner Scott, or we love to say.
Starting point is 00:09:47 It would behoove Tanner Scott to get off to a good start this season because there were some of the boo birds that were following him last year. His first year in Dodge Blue were did not put together a good season. He admitted it. He's flushed it. He does not care about that season. He says, you know, he's healthy. He's got a new ass or whatever he decided to post on his social media after having an operation late in the season.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Not worried about Tanner Scott. They have all of the time to let him figure it out. He has all of the money to give himself time to figure it out. But he's saying a lot of the right things, as has Blake. Blake, you know, it's worth, you know, bringing up. But I think Tanner Scott, I'm less worried about Tanner Scott than I am Blake Trinnan. But what about you with Tanner Scott? No, again, I'm not going to freak out over giving up a solo shot in spring training to the Giants.
Starting point is 00:10:39 Like, I'm just, I'm not there yet. I'm not worried about Tanner Scott. I mean, wait, let's talk about this in May. Let's see what I'm not. I'm not worried. Never worried. Why? Listen, I wasn't, I'm never worried.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Yeah, we'll see. We'll see when the outings are for real. We'll go from there. Look, man, you try pitching. It's hard to pitch without an ass. It's that whole lower body that you need. It's important. The lower body's got to connect with the upper body and the shin bone to the knee bone
Starting point is 00:11:10 and all the bones all the way up. And there you have it. All right, Santiago Espinall, Clint, it is official. The Dodgers have picked up his contract. Let's switch our focus now to the pitching or the position player side of things. They have selected the contract of infielder, outfielder, Santiago Espinal, the Dodgers making it official. No surprise here. I mean, you and Katie and I had talked about it.
Starting point is 00:11:29 He's having a tremendous spring, and the place where I worry about numbers or factor in the importance of numbers in spring are for guys trying to make the roster, and he was. And he did exactly what he needed to do to force his name into the conversation. And now he forced his way on to the opening day roster. Congratulations to him. But I'm imagining, sir, you're not surprised by this move? No, not surprised. Good spring, he earned it. And also, who else was going to take that spot? Alex Freeland has had himself a really bad spring. They had a 40-man roster spot to play with. And we got probably three weeks, four weeks into the regular season before Tommy Edmund is available.
Starting point is 00:12:07 This is a placeholder. Unless Santiago Espinall does some sort of crazy crap where he's hitting like 500. And starting every game hitting 500, he is a placeholder for Tommy Edmund. Tommy Edmund, when he is healthy, he will come back and he will insert himself into that lineup, unless there's also another injury. I don't see Espinall lasting much beyond that. I'm sure they'll find a way to get cute, get creative, especially if he is having a solid season. But good on him. This is a guy who was an all-star, I think an all-star in 2022. He's been good in the past.
Starting point is 00:12:43 And if he's another one of these dudes who can parlay a little bit of time with the Dodgers into them helping him figure some things. out and go on to continue to have a better career. That's awesome. You know, everything we've heard, he's a really good dude and he deserves an opportunity. And he's, the most important thing is, he has earned this opportunity for that opening day nod, or at least opening day roster, not. So, that's really cool. Good on him. Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything. Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline. It's good to know, just in case. Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder anytime.
Starting point is 00:13:29 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada. Hey there, this is Josh from Stuff You Should Know with a message that could change your life. The Stuff You Should Know Think Spring podcast playlist is available now. Whether spring has sprung in your neck of the woods yet or not, the stuff you should know, think spring playlist will make you want to get your overalls on, get outside, and get your hands in the dirt. get the stuff you should know think spring playlist on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Yeah, a couple of different notes here. The Los Angeles Dodgers also posting recently that right-handed pitcher River Ryan, your guy has been reassigned. Ryan Fitzgerald, bad day for the Ryan's. He's also been assigned to minor league camp, and Kyle Hurt has also been reassigned. So I don't even know how you're sitting. I'm surprised you're not bawling right now because your boy. Kyle Hurt, Fabi and Ardaya does a great job for the athletic, also a fan of the show,
Starting point is 00:14:30 or a friend of the show. I don't know if he's a fan, I hope he is. Kyle Hurt is at an impressive camp. Dave Roberts acknowledged but said the decision came down to, you know, just he needs more time to pitch. That's okay. And I get that. Like, listen, man, it's 26 man.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Like, you can't have a 48 man roster for opening day. It's okay. River Ryan is going to have a part in this season. You know, Kyle Hurt probably will have a part in this season. And we'll see. And that's okay. I mean, we're down to final cuts, basically the only question. Mark Clint we talked about it was second base like who's going to get the majority of the reps
Starting point is 00:15:00 until Edmund comes back well I think we got our answer um so so there's that I mean obviously uh Kim too trying to get uh some more playing time and you know he was one for one today but hopes of getting more playing time with eight days to go in spring um yeah and him playing in the outfield as well that that's that is massive because we know this is a team right now that uh Dave loves having the uh the Chris army knife they don't have Chris take tailor around. They don't have that guy right now. So to have... You just call her the Chris Armory. That is not me. That is my friend Doug McCain.
Starting point is 00:15:34 That's a long time ago. Yeah. That's pretty good. Yeah. He's good at that kind of stuff. Any Housel. Somebody else that has that positional versatility, the defensive versatility, that's going to help a lot. And that's where, like, seeing Espinall in the outfield today, that's him doing his part to try to be like, look, I will do what it takes to try to be a part of this roster, to try to be on this club. If it means trying to go out there and play right field, YOLO let's do it. And that's the mentality that this
Starting point is 00:16:01 club has. And we've talked about this in the past where I really love that this is not a team that is me, me, I, I, they are whatever you need. You know, if Freddie, if Dave tells Freddie you're going to sit today, he's going to fight it tooth and nail. But if there is a valid
Starting point is 00:16:17 reason, he'll be on the bench, you know? It's not going to be a valid reason to bench. Good luck. Good luck with that. A couple key plays, a lot of often early. I mean, this ended up being a five to one game, but the offense coming really early in the game. Mookie with the RBI single at the bottom of the first that put the Dodgers on the board one to nothing. I tell you what, Teo has impressed me. His spring continues to be really good, Clint.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Hot spring continues a 450 average in OPS of 1251. Obviously, he had that RBI single that followed Mookie there making it two to nothing. But he has a 450 average, as I mentioned. And could this possibly be the Teoscar Hernandez of 2024. I mean, that's what I'm, that's what I'm hoping for, right? I think last year was, again, an aberration, ablation. Ablation. It's, yeah, subtraction. It's not an ablation.
Starting point is 00:17:09 It's not. So I like it. I like what I'm seeing from Teo. Do you think it's maybe, you know, he's kind of like, who I'm just going to be in left field. It's going to be great. It's going to be great. I don't worry about that.
Starting point is 00:17:20 It's going to be great. For Teosker Hernandez. And hey, director, it's me. One shot right here. For Teasca Hernandez, he is healthy. He admitted what we all knew. He was playing unhealthy after going through that hamstring issue last year. You saw how hot he came out last year to open that season.
Starting point is 00:17:39 The first, I think six weeks of the season, he's hitting over 300. One of the most clutch dudes in that lineup. You saw the clutch show up at different points in time in the postseason last year as well. You'd look at that Philly series, a couple of big knocks there, a couple of big homers. You know, I usually on this show try not to make big bold statements, but if I had a button that would put a graphic on the screen, I didn't make it. But that graphic said, Teo is back. Teo is all the way back, Alana. I am fully convinced that this is the 2024 version of Teosker.
Starting point is 00:18:13 And the fact that this is a dude, he's going to be hitting fifth, sixth in the lineup. That's scary. That's great. That is great. I love it. I'm glad that you said that because I feel that way too. I just I just get the sense that he's healthy. He's happy. He's more relaxed. He's smiling a lot. You don't have to worry about the hamstring, hopefully. I mean, those things, you know, whatever. Those things are very finicky, if you will, hamstrings, obliques, all the things. But I'm happy for him. He looks great. I'm happy for Muki. Seems like he's in a really good spot. Freddie seems like he's in a really good spot, obviously. With Freddie Freeman, I mean, let's talk about that a little bit. I mean, this is a guy that because of his veteran status, obviously, and just, workload management all the things um he's only playing at camelbacker ranch he's only playing home games got the first home run of spring today um it's helping right like i feel like he can get the work in that he needs to get in when he needs to get it in um all this dude does is roll out of bed
Starting point is 00:19:10 and hit and he he just looks awesome i mean he's just mr consistency and he just seems like he's in a really good spot we talked about it last week uh with katy as well uh you're hearing the ball come off the bat loud. And this was his first homer of the spring, but he has a couple of doubles. That's, I think, as we move forward, move later into Freddie's career. If he's somebody who's trying to play until he is 40 years old, we're going to see a lot more doubles in the game than homers, which, I mean, two seasons ago, three seasons ago, he led all the, he led everybody in doubles with 59, just missed that 60th double. But hitting the ball hard, hit the ball on the screws. He's using all field. He's getting the little, maybe, I don't say getting, but he's a little
Starting point is 00:19:55 more on the pull happy side right now, which is fine. But knowing that he has the other club to shoot the ball to left field when he wants. I mean, this is a guy who's who we've talked about it a few times. Alana, we were there at Camelback where he was talking about how Pistie was that he didn't hit 300. The other, you add to that, he didn't hit 300 the year before. He had a worse year, in so many words. Freddie does not have bad years. That's what's funny. But by Freddie standards. And I'll put you back on the screen for this one. By Freddie standards, it's, it's, um, they're bad years. If you're not hitting 300, if you don't drive in 100 RBI, you know, he is the very typical old school baseball guy, which is one of the things we love about him.
Starting point is 00:20:36 He's striking out like, Kate's not putting the ball in play. Um, you know, he, he said the exact words he said, because I asked him about it or he goes, it irked me when I didn't hit 300. And I said, how much did it irk you? He was like, you know, and then he was like, a lot. It's, it, it bothered him that he did not finish the season with at least a 300 average. And then we went into the whole situation of like, do you want to, you know, finish your career as a Dodger, blah, blah, blah. So anyway, the top of the order looks really good. I think that is our point. We still have a lot to discuss here on Dodgers territory, this post-game episode. Get your comments into the chat. You guys have anything you want to know, want to talk about just, you know, off the top of mind,

And listen on I-Heart Radio stations across America and the free I-Hard app. And we're back, and it's hard to follow that. We're back, everybody. But before we continue, don't forget to check out Dodgers Territory Shop for cool stuff.
Starting point is 00:24:00 We appreciate it. Scan that QR code. Go to Dodgers Territory Shop. dot com. It supports myself. It supports Clint, Katie, the show, Fowel Territory, all of the things. Some other talking points. Clint, we discussed it a little bit earlier about Santiago Espinall making the teams. We don't really need to go into that much more. But again, there's differing opinions on Roki Sasaki, and I don't want to be, you know, negative Nancy here. But does a 13 and a half ERA this spring bother you? Does it not bother you? Should we, are we focusing too much on that?
Starting point is 00:24:30 I mean, Dave says he's going to, it would, barring something bananas. He's going. to be one of their starters. And he's breaking, you know, he's breaking camp on the big league club. So what say you? It doesn't not bother me, the 13 and a half ERA. Some of the things that he said that Roki said following his outing yesterday. And we're going to do more of a deep dive on the whole Roki situation tomorrow. This is the spring training of Roki Sasaki.
Starting point is 00:25:00 So apologies to everybody who's tired of hearing about Roki. I'm not surprised that he's going to still be in that starting rotation and I think Dave even hammered at home even more or the organization did with optioning River Ryan today after the game it's not
Starting point is 00:25:17 not concerning though to have the high ERA and more so just some of the things he's saying. Roki said after the game there's still a lot of things he needs to work on he had also mentioned the fact that his mechanics his arm slot
Starting point is 00:25:32 One of the things I said I was very worried worried about his arm slot got out of whack Trying to get that you know Trying to pronate to get the sinker going to get the two seamer With the the correct movement that they're looking for on it So that's the type of thing where when we talk about in the off season he's trying to add pitches He's trying to add a two seamers trying to add a cutter This is a thing that worries me with that is he has a two pitch pitcher for a reason and all of his stuff is Very much over the top especially that forkball the way he needs to
Starting point is 00:26:02 Well, he calls it a split it, but the way he needs to release that, it's very much over the top to mitigate that spin, and it works well with your four-seam fastball. Now you're trying to add in the wrinkles where you're trying to rip the ball to borrow from Bulldog there. You know, Hershey's going to talk about ripping the ball on the seams and make the ball move this way and, you know, trying to get over the top with the cutter or have that feeling more so of getting over the top with the cutter. It can very easily mess with those kind of pitches, and I have, that's where my concern line. with Roki. And if we don't start to see some change, don't start to see some improvement or more so consistency, because we have seen very good. We haven't seen it all the time, but we need consistency out of Roki Sasaki or else he's going to have a date with AAA and they're going to have some conversations, very difficult conversations to have with Roki Sasaki. It's not the worst thing in the
Starting point is 00:26:53 world, but a couple of days ago and Jack Harris had posted this as well for what it's worth. Here was Sasaki's quoting Japanese to that question from Dylan Hernandez, from the standpoint of results. I'm glad this was spring training. If I'm able to pitch the entire season, I don't think anyone will remember spring training. He's not wrong. I mean, I think, I mean, if he comes out of the gate and he starts pitching really well and he gets that consistency that you're talking about and starts, you know, putting guys away and getting good, nobody is going to care what happened in spring training. And nor should they. So again, jury is still out. I'm not, I'm not super duper worried about him. And I do love the fact that the daughters have the depth.
Starting point is 00:27:29 And again, if he does at some point have, remember Clayton got sent down to AAA too. At some point, if, you know, he has to go down and figure some things out in AAA, so be it. But again, he's going to be a part of this club in some form or fashion. And, you know, I certainly figure that they're going to figure this out.
Starting point is 00:27:48 All right, one more thing before we say goodbye. Again, get your thoughts in the chat. If you guys have anything you really want to talk about. I think we have to address the Miguel Rojas situation. There was a mistake. Evan Drellick of the athletic mistakenly put Miguel Rojas on a tweet that said that he was suspended for PED use. Obviously, it was not Miguel Rojas. It was Johan Rojas, who's a much younger player, place for the Philadelphia Phillies,
Starting point is 00:28:13 who we knew was already suspended with PED use, and he lost the appeal, Clint. So the suspension wasn't even the news. It was more that he had lost the appeal, and he was being suspended for certain for 80 days. But unfortunately, Evan, who is a very good investigation. reporter, but really misspoke on this, tweeted that it was Miguel with the Los Angeles Dodgers. It wasn't like he just missed Johan for Miguel. You know what I mean? It's like he got the team wrong, everything wrong.
Starting point is 00:28:41 So Miggie went on Chris Rose Sports today on John Boy Media. I don't know if it was today or yesterday. Well, last night and it was published today. And usually, well, we have the video. Do you want to play it? Yeah, for sure. Mickey, okay, before, I talked about this earlier this week as well. The thing I hated most about it was, one, yeah, you're going to have fans of other fan bases that are going to try to crap on Maggie, try to crap on the Dodgers, both of which were indicted in this initial, the initial tweet and then, you know, removed five minutes later or whatever, but not necessarily addressed exceptionally well.
Starting point is 00:29:21 It was, oh, I made a mistake, and it was this guy. But, Miggy, as we know, he's the type of dude. but he sees this stuff. He wears this stuff. This doesn't just affect the player. It affects their family. This is something, even if he didn't do it, we live in a world,
Starting point is 00:29:34 we live in a time where it doesn't matter. You are guilty until, you were just guilty. If anything happened, you were guilty. I don't care if there's innocent. I don't care if there is, you know, irrefutable evidence that said this did not happen. This was a mistake.
Starting point is 00:29:47 People, idiot fan bases and just dumb people in general, period, are going to be like, no, yeah, no, this guy is a dirty cheating, cheating cheater and all he does is steroids and he should be in the same conversation as jerks and pro far and that's the thing that sucks about this kind of stuff this is not me slamming evang evan drelic because evan does a phenomenal job at his job but that race to be first will have will bite you in the ass it will bite you and that's what i tell people all the time especially young kids that want to get into this industry and you know they've grown up in the social media era and
Starting point is 00:30:21 there's a place for it certainly uh it is a good connection tool to connect your team to the fans, players to fans, but it is dangerous. And that need to be first instead of right is very, very, it's a slippery slope. So let's listen to exactly how this went down. I don't want the people involved with the organization to have to deal with something like that when it didn't even happen. Time right now for our SOFI spotlight of the week. And it's going to focus on you.
Starting point is 00:30:51 I was in a meeting and I get out and the first thing I see. is Trevor Plouffe and Jake Story Ali talking about, well, thank God Miguel Rojas didn't get pop for PEDs. Evan Threlick of the Athletic, who's actually been a very good investigative reporter, mistyped your name when he was talking about Johann Rojas. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Let me stop you there. He didn't mistype my name. He did it with all the intention to put my name and the organization's name on that tweet.
Starting point is 00:31:19 One thing is to mistype my name and say Miguel Rojas got suspended. That's a fair kind of mistake that you can commit. But when you say, you're wrong from the Los Angeles Dodgers got suspended 80 games for PDs, that's what I'm not good with. And I'm going to talk to you about this, and this is the only person that I'm going to talk to about this issue, because I don't want to make it a big deal
Starting point is 00:31:44 and I don't want to make it about myself. But I feel like as a reporter, you have to have some ability to be a professional as well and apologize, Not just to me, but to the organization, because you don't even know how Andrew Freeman felt after these accusations that for six minutes kind of rumbled my whole world and got so many people around me and around us, the team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, worry because of one guy make a mistake that is, I'm totally okay with making mistakes. But at the end of the day, I was expecting an apology.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Are you saying that Evan did not reach out to you and apologize? No chance. Because I don't have X or Twitter or whatever. He didn't make an apology to my name or the organization for saying something like that. Whether or not he wrote that he was sorry or not, he owes you a call. He didn't call me or trying to reach out or anything. That's bullshit. Yeah, it is, it is bullshit.
Starting point is 00:32:47 That's a spicy Miggie Roe, Riz. Yeah, I mean, I get it. I'd be pissed too. If my name was linked to something like that that's absolutely so egregious an attack on my character, even if it is six minutes and it was a mistake. And I believe it was an innocent mistake. I don't doubt for one second. It was just a mistake.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Evan doesn't have an intent to hurt Maggie like that. I mean, that's just not who he is. He is very good at his job. But a mistake like that was six minutes of this, imagine the ripple effect that that had, you know? And McGee's probably like, what the hell? What are you talking about? And just like that doubt and that association of, you know, being in that. group of people. That's unfortunate. And I'm sure Evan will make this right. I don't doubt that,
Starting point is 00:33:27 you know, hopefully by now he has been able to. Everybody can get everyone's phone number. There's no, I got a text yesterday from Outkick. I'm like, how do these people get my phone number? You can get anyone's information, right? So hopefully, by now, Evan has reached out to McGee and the Dodgers and this will be all cleared up. But I understand. I understand why McGee, you know, I'd be pissed if somebody associated my name with something like that. Yeah, it's a tough spot. And I had the tweet up there. Evan did at least finally make it right on the Twitter side of things.
Starting point is 00:34:00 He kind of apologized in the moment, you know, shortly thereafter, but making it a lot more directly to Miggie Row and to the Dodgers organization. And like you said, hopefully he's made the time to reach out. And you know, let me know about that outkick gig. They're paying more. we're going there. Wow, you're just going to the highest fitter, huh? I see how it is.
Starting point is 00:34:23 At some point, you've got to hoe yourself out. Oh, geez. Just me specifically. Cole. Yeah, I'm not doing that. Going back to the whole idea of, you know, dumb fan bases and something that gets reported incorrectly, Cole by Cole, saying people still making comments about, you know, Ipe and Otani.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Like, it doesn't matter. People are miserable. and we choose not to be miserable. We choose to be happy because the Dodgers won, and that's how we cycle back to begin to start the end of the show. They're really, really, really, really, really good at baseball.
