Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's us The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
Starting point is 00:00:10 We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform?
Starting point is 00:00:49 We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. podcast. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano.
Starting point is 00:01:02 It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was crying. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis come in.
Starting point is 00:01:19 He's like, you know, I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball. So listen to Point Game on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your To the question, I feel pretty good about this Dodgers team shutting out the Padres and coming out of this series into an off day. You have to love where this team is at right now. It is always a good night when you beat the San Diego Padres.
Starting point is 00:01:56 If you are a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, what's up? All of you. My name is Alana Rizzo. That is Clint Pesias. We are your hosts for this brand new live episode of Dodgers Territory. Thanks for being here, you guys. we appreciate it very much. And we would appreciate it more if you would rate us five stars.
Starting point is 00:02:15 You would like and subscribe to Dodgers Territory. The podcast on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your pods, YouTube, all of the things. We're trying to make it. I feel like we've been trying to make our way to 20,000 subs forever. It's the slow part. It's a slow part of the year, Liz. It's the slow burn, right? When we get there, it's that much more enjoyable.
Starting point is 00:02:37 And also, we appreciate the DT members because they're. is value in being a member, $3.99 a month. You get loyalty badges, you get custom emojis, you get priority reply to comments. But there's also going to be happy hours that we are doing as we work up our member base. Member shoutouts, you do get a discount on our merchandise. You get 5% off of our merchandise.
Starting point is 00:02:59 So it's basically your $3.99. It's like a wash because you get it off on the merchandise as well. So good to have you guys with us. Thank you so much. Get your comments in the chat. It's always good. Again, like I said, Foxy Cinnamon 7307. Good evening, Alana and Clinton.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Good evening to you, my friend. Foxy Cinnamon. All right. Riz, we're bearing the lead. We're bearing the lead. The Dodgers won. Dodgers won a baseball game. Well, I mean, but the Dodgers have won a few baseball games.
Starting point is 00:03:26 It's not like this is the first win in a long time. The point is one pitch, one home run, Shohay Otani. This is game 50 of 162, you guys. And the Dodgers take two of three from the pottery. That's what you want. right? You always want to win the series, but it just means so much more when it's against the Friars, Clint. What did you think about, what were you thinking when you were watching this game unfold? Well, I was thinking about I'm working on a lot of different things in the background.
Starting point is 00:03:54 I'm glad the Dodgers are making it easy on all of us, show hey making it easy on us to open this game. Like you mentioned, first pitch, taking the G-Hack, goes yard, center field, got all of that one. I guess not in all of it. I mean, it's a large, ballpark, but just over the outstretched glove there of Jackson Merrill. And he set himself up. He didn't need any more runs in this game. He was dominant on the mound for a while until he wasn't. We'll talk about that in a little bit. I mean, really, the top of the show should be all show Hey Otani. But yeah, that one set the tone. And I think coming off of, you know, Riz, that first game of this series, the fans, the fans were not happy, as you would imagine,
Starting point is 00:04:36 you lose that first game against the Padres. And that's a lot of the game. And that's a lot of the And that's coming off of a series where the offense was electric against the very, very lowly angel. So immediately people have that question. Are the Dodgers bad? Or were they just bad that one day? It looks like they were just bad that one day. I mean, even the middle game that, you know, the Alex call, the Andy Pah has that bat and all of that. That took extenuating circumstances to get that final run of the night.
Starting point is 00:05:08 But this was a good win. This was a good win against a guy who's not a slouch in Randy Vasquez on the bump for the Padres. So I feel pretty good. To the question, I feel pretty good about this team, about this Dodgers team shutting out the Padres and coming out of this series into an off day. You have to love where this team is at right now. Still a lot to work on, but they're in a good spot, Alana. Man, you know what I loved about this so much was the first pitch home run. It was like, oh, you could just kind of settle in a little bit.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I feel like there is a little bit of tension when the Padres and the Dodgers get together recently. But man, when you get Shohei Otani up there and it's like, okay, we're just going to go ahead and take that and we're going to hit it right out of the park. And then, oh, by the way, we have him on the mound. That's just a beautiful thing. It just felt, it just felt really, really good. And again, not to take anything away from Brandy Vasquez. Like, it was a fine outing. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:06:04 But, man, it was really great to take the first series of the year. We've been waiting quite some time to meet up with these guys, right? Obviously, they are our biggest competitors in the National League West, no doubt. They might be one of the biggest competitors. They were on our list of five or six when we're talking about NL competitors at the beginning of the season. But to take two of three from them, the first time you see them at Petco, I love it. It was a good, it was a good game. Freddy's coming out of his slump.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Showe is coming out of the slump. he is out Shohei is fully out he's so out not only from this game but yes in the last couple of games it was a good good good good series I'm all on board
Starting point is 00:06:49 we're gonna look at those show hay numbers right there how about that? 14-156 that's an OPS near 1500 for show-hundred Yeah and only that was his first homer too like he has been hitting he's been getting his doubles now we're going to start to see him
Starting point is 00:07:05 not lengthen this wing, but he got good wood on that particular Vasquez pitch. You're going to start to see him getting good wood and, and let's say, taking some G-hacks, taking some daddy hacks up there. He is going to start trying to crank up that Homer ball. I see people in the chat, you know, we're talking about a win. Maybe it's just one person and then somebody else yelling at a different person about that. But indifference, indifference towards Marcus Lynn Betts. He did have two hits in this game. I would not call them hard hit or super
Starting point is 00:07:38 pretty. I mean, he did have the double that went to the wall that for some reason, Luriano and Merrill could not get to. That ball was up in the air for a very, very long time, but you know what, Riz? That counts as a base hit, counts as a double on the box score there for Mookie
Starting point is 00:07:54 bets, and also that infield single that it felt like it took him forever to get the first base, and thankfully it took Xander Bogart's just a little bit longer to get up and give it everything he could to try to throw that ball out. But a couple of hits for Mookie. You mentioned Freddie as well.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Get in some multi-hit hits, hit games for these guys. Two of the most important hitters in that lineup with Mookie and Freddie. Again, coming off of the series, getting these guys right, coming off of that, get right series in Anaheim, you're trending in the right direction. You take this off day and then what, they welcome the Phillies, I believe it is, or is it the Brewers? I forgot where they're going. I should probably have that ready. Actually, I think I could pull that up pretty quickly over here. here, it is the Brewers.
Starting point is 00:08:37 It will be at Milwaukee. That's right. I was a week ahead. And that's going to be a big serious. They're traveling tomorrow at noon. So they'll sleep in San Diego tonight and get a little bit of rest and then they're traveling tomorrow at noon. I just, okay, can we talk about Tay Oscar for a hot second?
Starting point is 00:08:52 We're probably not even in that part of the rundown. There is no run down. It's just we talk about what we feel today. The Oscar was really pretty great. And I love the insurance run at the end. I know it was three nothing, but you never know. know. I mean, the Padres are decent. Like you just, I thank you to ask her. Like again, we talked about it on Monday, how we wanted everybody to take a step up, right? We talked about Roke
Starting point is 00:09:15 Zasaki. We talked about other guys that we needed them to get back to where they were. Teasker was my guy to get back to where he was in 2024. And he did it. He had a great game today. So this was good to take two or three from your biggest competitor in the division. That's exactly what you need to do, especially when you're on the road, especially when you're at Petco Park. I'm proud of these guys. I do. I am proud of them. It was a good series. I appreciate it. Shohei has busted out of that slump. Tea the sack fly once he scored, Kyle Tucker with the RBI, Tayasker with the solo home run to make it four to nothing. I love it. Yeah, you see the TAO numbers. This is, yeah, this is a good, good outing by these guys, like on both sides of the
Starting point is 00:10:02 ball. I mean, what else can you ask for? Now, again, perfect game against a rival in the division, a team that now now the Dodgers have a game and a half lead, I believe it is in the NL West. When, you know, they lost that first game. They were down. They were half came back. And then, of course, as you would expect, the trolls of Padre Nation coming into my all Dodgers chat. And by the way, make sure you guys tune in to all Dodgers after this post post-post game. Jeff Snyder, Kevin Skinner, will be live taking more crap. I'm assuming from Padres fans. But they were loud, Alana, and rightfully so.
Starting point is 00:10:36 They won their World Series, which usually tends to be that first game of a series between these two. You think back, two years ago, last year, the stupid crying Kershaw emoji. Yeah. And the curse that has befallen that organization. I feel like they've been cursed since they put a crying Kershaw slash Michael Jordan emoji up there. I mean, you don't do that to Kersh. He's a Hall of Famine.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Stop. Yeah, I don't F with curse. Do not do that. And look at the crap that is befallen you, as Clint Paseous would say, befallen. Yeah, it's a big befallen guy. I know. I'm proud of you for the befall. Yeah, so right now, Los Angeles, 31 and 19, the 620 winning percentage, San Diego, 29, and 20,
Starting point is 00:11:18 but they 592 winning percent. Yeah, they're a game and a half back. And they have a half game lead in terms of the wild card. So season ends today. Both teams are in. but this is fun. I love this. This is what you want.
Starting point is 00:11:32 You want the competition. You want the parody in the division. And obviously right now, it is only the Padres. They're going to give the Dodgers crap in the division. Yeah. I mean, maybe it's not the Giants. We know they are bad times. I thought I was expecting, listen, I'm not mad.
Starting point is 00:11:53 I'm just disappointed in the Giants. You would expect a little bit more out of them. But apparently, when you hire, college coach straight out of college. He's probably not going to know what he's doing. And Buster Posey at the end of the year is going to have some goddamn questions to answer. I mean, Patrick, Patrick Bailey already got the see ya. They gave him the old bye Felicia.
Starting point is 00:12:13 And then, you know, the Diamondbacks. I don't know if the Diamondbacks know quite what they're doing. So it's likely going to be a two horse race in the NL.S. I promise you, it is only a two horse race because the Diamondbacks are going to not, are not going, even though they've won four games in a row. they're not going to push this division at all. Giants stink. I mean, they're 20 and 30.
Starting point is 00:12:35 They're 10 games below 500. The Rocky is whatever. So yeah, it's a two horse race in the division. Do I think the Padres will make the postseason? Absolutely. Oh, yeah. But as a wildcard team. You saw the pitching.
Starting point is 00:12:48 The pitching is very good on that Padres team. What do we say entering this series as well? Just don't give Mason Miller a lead. They did once and they lost that game. He came into a game yesterday. Tide, he also blew his load throwing like 40 pitches or sorry, like 50 somewhat pitches in those two games. And Pahas. I want to talk more about Pahas tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:13:09 When Freddie Freeman, yes, we will be live at noon. We will dive deeper into that. But when Freddie Freeman says that's, I mean, think about Freddie Freeman. He's a first ballot hall of famer. I don't. I do believe the cap will be L.A. over Atlanta, but we'll see. But when Freddie Freeman says that's one of the best at bats,
Starting point is 00:13:28 he's ever witnessed. That says a lot. Think about the amount of that bat that Freddie Freeman has seen. I mean, come on, man. Yeah, you really do get the chills. When Freddie says something good about you, you have to feel really, really good. Our friend Ray Soto is in the chat.
Starting point is 00:13:49 He said he just left an Madre channel, Padre's channel, a bunch of cry babies over there on the Padres channel. And you know what? Like Randy Newman once told us. I love it. Tim Butler, Timothy in the chat, saying Padres fans absolutely turning on Fernando Tatis Jr. right now.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Another one of the things I said. I mean, he still doesn't have a home run. Goose egg. Mani got a homer. He knew he was going to do something. My God, it's May 20th. That's that. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:14:21 It's two months into the season. I mean, basically the season started, let's say, March 28th. So two months into the season, Fernando he's not been the same since his P-E-D got that ringworm stuff you got to watch that ringworm everybody I'm going to get this super chat Fritzie the dog send us a $499 super chat and we're popping it up right now it's super large and in charge so look at how cute Fritzie the dog is hold on we're trying to we're trying to get this sorted out hold I'm trying to get the sorted out I double clicked and I ruined everything there it is there is what was better shows let's go after five oh after five show that I'm expression after he realized that you just started out of the man i'm going to go with show show hey otani his expressions are priceless yeah hell of a game we haven't talked about show hey the pitcher we haven't talked at all about the pitching yet we're going to do that uh we appreciate everybody in the chat

Starting point is 00:16:32 for Film Never Lies. Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now got my own show. So if you're tired or lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies available on all TSN platforms in the IHeart Radio app. Dodgers Territory Live,
Starting point is 00:16:48 Clint Bacias, Alana Rizzo, hanging out with you here after the Dodgers take two of three from the Padres. And I want to remind you guys, before we talk, Shohei. Show Hey would love it if you even went to Dodger Territory Shop.com. Buy yourself some merch. A hat like I'm wearing, but you got shirts.
Starting point is 00:17:02 You got the hat that Riz is wearing. You got a beanie, a whole bunch of stuff. Scan that QR code. Click the link in the description, all of that. Look at that. Look at these options. They made this one special for me because I have, I wear my hat backwards, and I was like, I just won't want a blank canvas on the back of my hat.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Put that DT logo there, and Mark did that for us. And you know what Shohay did for us today, Alana? He dominated. He shoved. He shoved. Four innings. He was electric. And that fifth inning thing, he got a little bit away from him.
Starting point is 00:17:33 I thought what he allowed three hits, two walks in the entire game. Two hits and one of those walks came in the fifth inning. And bass is loaded. Nando Tatis is up at the plate. And you know what? I love me. I love me some well-time DP. I tell you what, guys.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Everybody hit that thumbs up button for well-time DP. I don't think Riz gets it, guys. but yeah hell of the game what's d p what's d p the we're not not the place not the place because i'm an asshole i hear my old lady laughing in the living room i hear laughing i love that you were able to hear that one as well um all right let's get back on track here hell of a game from show hey you see that five innings another shutout performance from show hey otani and riz he's um he's kind of doing that a lot you know what i love What do you love?
Starting point is 00:18:31 First of all, real Mrs. Fr.G is going nuts. You know what I really, really love is show his emotion. The roar. He was so pumped about being able to get out of that. You got to love that, right? He's like a very kind of, I mean, yes, his face is very expression. What's the word? He has a lot of expressions on his face.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Expressive, sure. But he doesn't have, doesn't always show a lot of emotion, if that makes sense. be expressive without showing emotion. And I do believe that today. I'm going to put this on the screen still. Oh, I love this so much. I mean, that's just like exactly right. I mean, that's so true.
Starting point is 00:19:10 He is the, he's the human emoji. And I love the fact that he let out the roar. I think it's great. It wasn't economical, Clint. I mean, it was 88 pitches through five, but I, I mean, you set the tone with the one pitch, first pitch home run. And you shove like that, I'll take it. Yeah, no, hell of an outing.
Starting point is 00:19:32 And it continues to be hell of outing. Shout out to my friend Blake Harris here, who did the homework for us or at least showed the work for us. Look at this. So this is his eighth start. Six innings. My God. Zero earned. Six innings.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Zero earned. Six inning. One earned. Six inning. Zero. Six one. Seven. Wow.
Starting point is 00:19:51 And his worst start, you remember a couple starts ago, we did a post game. His worst start of the year gave up two earned over seven. And then another seven backs it up. Seven, shuddy, five shuddy. He has been historic. Sixth best ERA over your first eight starts in the live ball era. A couple of Dodgers on there. How was he not the NL.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Cy Young Award winner? Because it's May 20. I know what you're saying. Who were you giving it to? Misrowski's been really good. Oh, fuck. You could say that. That's our show.
Starting point is 00:20:27 You can do it. No. only I can. No, I'm just saying, shout out my dirty arms. Shout out my dirty arms. Shout out my dirty arms worked on a truck today. I mean, I'm sorry. Shohei, Say Young.
Starting point is 00:20:39 It's going to come, what is going to come down to? And I'll, you know, I'm going to pull up. I could probably use the fancy stuff. It's going to come down to who's in the postseason. One thing that's going to work against Shohei when it comes to Say Young voting is probably the wins to a degree, even though you're getting to a more modern thinking voter class. cares less about wins because that's not necessarily something the pitcher can control, but it's going to come down to the innings. He is going to make a lot fewer starts and pitch a lot fewer innings than a lot of
Starting point is 00:21:12 these dudes in the National League because the Dodgers are going to have, they run a six-man rotation. And you got the Miz. Of course, you got the reigning Syung Award winner in Paul Skeens. And there's the sexiness of Paul Skeen's to voters. but dude absolutely deserves. I feel like the sexiness of Paul Skeens is going to wane because the pirates are terrible.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Yeah. Like that you can only be so dominant on a losing team for so long. Better than I was expecting. Yeah, but that Central's garbage. Yeah, it doesn't mean. So that's why. Central's garbage.
Starting point is 00:21:52 I'll take that. I'll say Central is pretty damn good. They, it is very competitive. With the Brewers, they have the third. most wins in the in all of baseball oh hey listen i'm telling you knowing what's coming up tomorrow on fair um ken's going to be talking about the brewers and the n l central just just just a just a little bit there uh where did it go i really wanted to put uh this somebody had the chat said oh here it is here it is matteo mateo said ooh la la said the f word first of all i'm sorry i apologize apologize for any of the kids that are listening.
Starting point is 00:22:30 And Mateo, my name is spelled with two ends. So I'm going to give you two F bombs until you stole my name with two ends. Riz, you know that scene in Anchorman. I would fucking never say fuck. Fuck. That's, that's, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, everybody. I had to do it to them.
Starting point is 00:22:49 A lot of people in the chat with us right now. I apologize if you didn't want curses. We, for the greater part, try to be clean. if you want to clean your show. I am digging our chat. I mean, we have 728 people watching this right now. How much people hang out with us? Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Pull up this tweet right now and take a screenshot. Our chat. Stanley 299. My man Stanley 299 is my favorite friend ever. Take somebody screenshot. Hang on. Hold on. Hold please. Hold, please. You're doing this now.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Hang on. Dodger Blue Jackie's hanging out with us. Appreciate that. I see my friend Steve in the chat. He's laughing. He's having a good time. You good? You all good?
Starting point is 00:23:31 I'm good. I took it. I took the picture. You could have waited and done that after the fact. It is. You can watch it after the fact. Rosamond's hanging out with the chat, says no need to apologize. Be cathartic.
Starting point is 00:23:43 And you know what? I do feel good because everybody in the chat and Alana, I'm talking to you here because you have a microphone in front of you. We had a solid two weeks of miserable shows of the not even necessarily. There wasn't anger. I don't think we had a lot of anger. It was more so just the disappointment. It was a very boring team. It was a boring.
Starting point is 00:24:06 It's funny that you, that he said cathartic because I do feel like tonight was a very cathartic game. I mean, before we even sat down on the couch or the chair or the floor or whatever, first pitch out. I mean, that was like, okay,
Starting point is 00:24:21 I love this. And having an opportunity to take two or three from the Padres at Peco Park. It did feel really, it felt good. It felt cathartic. It felt like we were like having an exorcism. I mean, we obviously had the Get Right series prior to the Padre series. And then it kind of continued in the right direction. And I feel, I feel good about it.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Yeah. I feel good about D.A. Baracus in the chat. At least he spelled the two ends. Hold on. Hang on. I'm taking it. Hang on. Smile, Clint.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Hey. Oh. Oh, one of these days we'll teach you at a screenshot as well. I know. Okay. Listen, Linda. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now got my own show. So if you're tired of lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies, available on all TSN platforms in the IHeart Radio app.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, huge news? we created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to a... We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
Starting point is 00:25:38 But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down?
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast where people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Starting point is 00:26:07 Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:26:18 Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guide, Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an
Starting point is 00:26:36 a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Final thoughts of this game. of course, your Los Angeles Dodgers win the baseball game.
Starting point is 00:26:55 We feel good when the Dodgers win a game. As you can see, 10 hits on the board, board for the Boys in Blue, only five for the show pods. And what I really liked, the pitching side, again, blanked, scoreless are the Padres. And how about the effort of that bullpen? I don't know if that's where you were going. I was, but we don't talk enough about Henriquez.
Starting point is 00:27:20 We talk about tronning. We talk about hurt. We've talked more about Will Klein. Tomorrow, when Clint and I are on the show, we're going to talk more about Henriquez. Because we don't do it enough, and it's not fair. So Clint, put that in your end up. I'll do my best to remember. I'll screenshot it.
Starting point is 00:27:38 It is something. Do it. Actually, that really will help me. No, it is something worth bringing up about Edgaro Henriquez because he is the ultimate in a middle reliever. We only talk about him when he is doing poorly. poorly and that's so unfair right like that's the problem with mental relief it's like you only get spoken about when you have done something wrong and that's not fair yeah yeah um it's it's definitely
Starting point is 00:28:08 the job it's it's like the field goal kicker yeah kind of kind of a little bit he is the kicker you only think about him but yeah he has been really really good and and part again of this bullpen that has been kind of cruising to a degree. They went through a little bit of a rough patch, but some great work in this series. I mean, Will Klein, I mean, they talked about it last night on my All Dodger show. I wasn't there, but great stuff with other Jeff and Kevin.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Will Klein coming in to get that save in that game, and him kind of being somebody where I wasn't sure, you know, entering spring training, I wasn't sure if Will Klein was going to end up surviving the mix of all of these arms that ended up. He really has taken a step for it. And why do you think that is? Like, what have you noticed about Will Klein this year, Clint, that you've noticed that he wasn't doing last year?
Starting point is 00:29:02 That's really made him. I think he's, honestly, he's continuing to do, to continuing to build on what he learned from this team last year. They, I don't, I forget what exactly the story is, people smarter than me and more knowledgeable than me in the Will Klein saga will tell you. But they just did. what they do to a lot of these type of pitchers, journeymen guys, guys who have the stuff, but haven't really been able to harness it. You probably change the grip ever so slightly, but more so, it's like, if you get Will Smith behind the plate or you get Dalton rushing behind the plate, you believe in what the fucking
Starting point is 00:29:38 signs or the buttons that they are putting down. Trust your stuff. And he trusted his stuff for those four electric innings in relief in game three of the World Series last year. and he is trusting his stuff right now. He is a guy who's absolutely a dog and another guy, another dog. I got to talk about it. I saw Katie tweeted about him, didn't mention me this time.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Kyle hurt. Kyle hurt effing around so much. They're like, hold on, let's test this guy. Muncie throws the ball into right field just to be a prick about it. Just kidding. I love you, months. And Kyle Hertz's like, all right, I guess I'll just get a double play to get out of this inning. Well-time DP right there.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Kyle hurt 100%. It was all planned. He knew exactly what he was doing. Great stuff. Great stuff here from your Los Angeles Dodgers. Dodgers win, and we got a day off tomorrow. And I'm looking forward. What are you doing on your day off?
Starting point is 00:30:33 Alva, you're not really off because you're doing a thousand different shows. Clint, if you guys don't know this, he directs a lot of different shows. I have shows. He's a busy, busy, busy guy. We're doing things. No, me and the boys in the evening when I free up. for my duties. We're going to have some drinks. We're going to Applebee's on a date night, Oreo shake. Applebee's? They got a special right now, Reis. It's like $15.99 for all you
Starting point is 00:30:59 are you. Are you Walker Hayes, for God's sake? Yes. Yes, I am. Appreciate you. Appreciate you. Appreciate you picking up on that. Anyways, that's what we'll be doing. All right. Anyways. We love you guys. We love you guys. We love you guys. We love you guys. We love you guys. All right. So tomorrow was Thursday. Clint and I will be back. We're working on a guest for tomorrow. Tomorrow, normal time, 12 noon Pacific, 3 p.m. Eastern. We will see you guys day off, but we're not off. So we'll see you then. Thanks for being here. Rate us, like us, five stars, all the things. Get us 20,000 subs. Are you going to throw the 20,000 subscribers up there? Do you want it? I'm not really ready.
Starting point is 00:31:43 All right. Bye. Okay. Bye. Hey guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
Starting point is 00:32:06 We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Starting point is 00:32:27 Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.
